Chapters The beginning of a new night
It all started in a marvelous summer day in Canterlot. The sun was shining, bathing the whole land of Equestria with the warm beams. The sky was clear; everything was just beautiful here at the great capital of Equestria, especially on the vast mountain on top of which the magnificent royal palace of the two sisters stood upon.
Twilight was summoned by Princess Celestia to come to the castle for a matter that was described to be of major importance. Being the ever-faithful student that she was, she didn't hesitate for a moment to obey the orders. She also thought that it would be a great opportunity to see Princess Luna. As it has been a while since she last saw her. They had a very good friendship together for a while now after that Nightmare night when she was introduced to Ponyville.
She arrived at the Princess’ study and knocked. After hearing the Princess bid her “Enter”, she pushed the huge oaken door open, and strode in. Her gaze roamed the room, taking in the high, molded ceiling, which amused her to think that, even here, the castles architects couldn't set aside their dreams of grand halls and tall towers. She moved on to the bookshelves lining the walls, which ran down both sides of the room, terminating at the outside wall of the chamber on the left side and the window which faced –conveniently enough –toward Ponyville. Next was the large table that, on first glance, appeared to be carved from a single block of marble. Magical examination, however, revealed that it was merely so exactly crafted, that the pieces fit together with no gap or visible line between them. Stationed atop this massive masterpiece was a map of Equestria and its immediately abutting neighbors, held down at the corners with paperweights that matched the cutie mark of their owner.
As for said owner, she was seated at her desk, a maple mammoth emblazoned on the front side with her cutie mark, which rested at the end of the right-hoof set of shelves, allowing the Princess to meditate on the outside world when Royal Duties stymied even one as old as she. At present, a scroll was suspended in the golden glow of her magic, causing her to furrow her brow in concentration.
“Good morning, your highness.” Twilight said.
“Oh! Twilight! Good morning. I didn't notice you entering.”
Twilight furrowed her brow in thought. She could have sworn the Princess had invited her in, hadn’t she? “But Princess, didn’t you ask me to come in?”
Princess Celestia frowned at her for a moment, and then her gaze brightened, a smile flashing onto her face, and a small laugh slipping out. “I must have been so engrossed in my work; I gave the automatic response for when someone knocks on my door. I guess that’s what happens when one is giving the same response to the same stimulus for centuries!”
“I hope I didn't interrupt you.”
"No, not at all."
“So Princess, what was it you needed my help for?”
Princess Celestia levitated a wooden box full of scrolls and put it on her desk. Then she took one of the scrolls and opened and placed it on the desk for both of them to read.
Twilight looked at the scroll which was filled with some strange symbols. She noticed some familiar figures which were that of the old Crystal language. She was studying that language since they discovered some historical archives under the Crystal Palace. So far, however, the language’s secrets were stubbornly refusing to reveal themselves.
Twilight raised her face to the princess and said with a confused look. “What is that Princess?”
“These scrolls had been sent to me by your brother from the Crystal Empire. They found it in one of the temples and they think that these have some important secrets about the magic of the Crystal heart.”
“I see. But why hadn’t they translated it before they sent it.”
“Well, they tried to find anypony to translate it. But King Sombra’s spell had erased all their memory about this language. It also made them unable to relearn any of it due to the remains of the dark magic’s spirit.”
“Mmm, so it’s up to us to translate all these scrolls if we want to know about the Crystal magic.”
“I know this is a hard task. But I have faith in you my student. And I know that you will be able to do it.”
“This is so exciting. I would be a part of discovering a whole new civilization. This is like a dream come true.”
“I knew you would enjoy it. Now let’s get to work. We have a lot to do.”
It was late in the day when Twilight left the study. She was exhausted from the working with the princess. As she was walking in the hallway that leads to the front gates of the palace, she met Princess Luna. But this time she felt something strange about it. She felt her heart bound faster. She felt butterflies in her stomach, and heat building up in her core.
It wasn't the first time she felt like that when she was around the Princess. She was annoyed with these feelings and didn’t know what they were. But these feelings started some months after the second Nightmare night she spent with the Princess.
But that day it was stronger. Even the way she looked at the princess was different. She noticed how beautiful her body was. She admired each and every single detail about the princess of the night. But she collected herself when she saw the dark mare approaching her.
“Hello, Twilight Sparkle.” Princess Luna said.
“Hello, Princess Luna” Replied Twilight, bowing formally.
“You don't have to do this Twilight. After all, we're friends.”
Twilight quickly straightened, a blush adorning her cheeks. “Sorry about that. It's the habit.”
Luna giggled a bit then said. “It's okay. I see you have just had a tough session.”
“Yeah, Princess Celestia is trying to push me to my limits. But I can't say I don't enjoy it.”
“You always do give your all when learning something new.” Princess Luna said as she escorted her friend to the main gates of the palace.
“Well, it’s always good to have a good challenge every now and then. So, how is life going around with you?”
“Well, the normal royal duties you know, politics, duties, formalities, balls, aristocracy, raising the moon. It’s just the same every day. Sometimes it bores me but I'm getting used to it.”
“Wow, and I thought I'm the one with the busy life.” Twilight said with a little laugh. “Do you even get any time to rest?”
“After I get the moon raised. That is my time to become just Luna. I spend the night listening to music and reading. But Friday nights are my gaming nights, which are my favorite.”
There was then a pause of silence. Luna looked at Twilight with a strange look which made the unicorn feel rather uncomfortable. Was there something on her face? Was her mane messy? Those worries soon faded as she lost herself looking into Luna’s eyes. But she pulled herself out from the awkward situation anyways.
“Princess Luna, are you okay?”
“Yes, yes I'm fine.” Luna said as she got back to herself. Blushing a little but tried to hide it from her little friend. “So how is Ponyville?”
“Good, nothing unusual. The rodeo is coming to town and Applejack is practicing. She says that this year the competition is tough because a lot of really good competitors are coming from Appleoosa. But she is aiming for the blue ribbons as always. You know how serious she gets when it comes to rodeo.”
“She is really one of the best I've ever seen when it comes to rodeo.”
“Yes, she is. So, won't you come and pay Ponyville a visit any time soon?”
“I’ll try to do so the nearest chance I get.”
They've already reached the gates by that time. “Well, I better get going.” Twilight said. “I hope to see you again soon.”
“I hope so too.”
“Well, I'll have to say goodbye now.”
“Have a nice day.”
Twilight was just about to leave when she heard Luna calling her. “Twilight, Wait!”
“Yes princess.”
She turned back to find Princess Luna looking down at her hooves, rubbing one against the other’s fetlock in an uncharacteristic display of anxiety. “There is something I've been trying to tell you about for a while now. B-but I've never had the courage to say it.”
Now Twilight’s curiosity was well and truly peaked. “Go ahead princess.”
“Well, I don't know how to say this. But since that night when we were together in Ponyville, I started to have some strange feelings. Something that I thought I would never feel again. But you've revived it in my heart.”
“Princess, I don't understand. What is that feeling?”
The princess let out a sigh, and then she gazed almost lost into her lover twilight's eyes almost taking in every color and essence in her eyes, saying the magical words that could turn everything upside down.
“Twilight Sparkle, I'm in love with you.”
Luna said these words and there was a moment like everything was paused in the world. Then the princess of the night took the wind as fast as she could. While Twilight stood there speechless, frozen like a statue, trying to understand the thing that had just happened. She had two different feelings, one of huge awkward feeling and anxiety. And the other was a little feeling of happiness to hear that from her princess.
The young lavender unicorn gathered herself a little and managed to sit on a small bench in the Royal Gardens. She just let a long gaze to the vast space. She had millions of thoughts in her head. But the more she tried to sort this situation out, the more questions rose to her, and the more awkward she felt. At last she just gave up and put her head in her hooves.
She just sat there, lost in her thoughts and unaware of anything around her. All she had in mind now was to sort out that situation. But she knew it wasn't a mathematical equation or something mental. It was something new to her, an inner fight between her feelings for the princess as her ruler and mentor’s sister. And these other feelings she had for the princess and tried to ignore, the new feelings toward Luna as another mare, one who, despite her age, was still youthful in both mind and body.
“I just don't know what to do.” Twilight said to herself. “I mean I don't have anything against Luna. She is smart, funny, joyful to be around, in addition to her gorgeous beauty, and her dark sparkling mane that is breathtaking.”
“What am I saying? Could I be..... No, no, no, no. I can't be holding feelings for her, except being her friend of course. Yes, that’s right. We're just friends.”
“But what about these feelings I've had about her lately? I mean, I’ve read some romantic novels. And according to them, all the symptoms I’m feelings indicates a feeling of love towards Luna. ”
“But she is my princess. I can’t have a romantic affair with my princess, can I? And why am I starting to actually like the idea of me being with Lulu?”
“Did I just think of her as Lulu? Oh great, now even I disagree with myself. That’s it, I give up.”
She went silent for a minute, trying to gather her thoughts to come up with something to settle this down. But as she was doing that, she felt a gentle hoof landing on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Luna. Twilight’s face went frozen like she had just encountered a monster.
“I knew that I would find you here.” Luna said to the little unicorn with a genuine smile.
There was a moment of silence. Twilight’s mind was as blank and frozen as her face. She didn't know what to say or how to respond to Luna.
But Luna went on. “Listen, I know it was shocking to you. And I know you weren't prepared for this. But I kept it away for too long. And I thought that this was the time to say it. I'll completely understand if you didn't have the same feelings towards me.”
Twilight sat there with a million words to say. But not a single one had the courage to come from her mouth. She knew she had to say something. But every time she tried to speak, words would melt at the tip of her tongue. But she gathered every last drop of courage in her cells and said. “Luna, I- I. You just shocked me with these words. And I really didn't have the time to think this straight. Luna, I really am-”
She was interrupted by the look on the alicorn’s face. She saw, for the first time of her life, tears coming out of Luna’s eyes. Her heart was about to be broken into two halves. That’s when everything became clear. Her blank mind gave the room for her heart to say the final words. And she chose to let her heart get control to settle this down for the last time.
“I really am in love with you Luna.”
Luna’s muzzle broke into a wide smile. Her mane sparkled more than before. Twilight also had a nice shy smile between her red cheeks. They looked at one another, watching for some small sign, a clue of how to proceed. Unknowingly, their lips were drawing closer and closer together. Their lips met and they melted into the kiss, their lips molding to each other’s whims. Where one shifted, the other complied, with no break between the seal they’d created. After a time, their lips slowly parted. Twilight found herself leaning forward, her head on Luna's chest, their forelimbs around each other in a sweet embrace.
“Luna.” Twilight said.
"Yes?"
“ I've been thinking for a response to what you've said for the last hour or two and couldn't come up with anything. But your eyes gave me the answer I needed. Thank you.”
Luna looked to her, and responded with another deep kiss. Then they turned to watch Celestia’s sun melting down the horizon, signaling the end of the day and the beginning of a new night. With a new magic in possess, that magic was the most powerful magic of all time, the magic of love.
“I gotta do it.” Twilight said to herself as she was holding her quill. “But I must be as gentle as possible.”
She dipped her quill in the ink and started writing, when suddenly the door of the room was opened. A mare was approaching slowly behind Twilight.
“Whatcha doin' Twilight?” said the mare in a loud voice.
“Aaaaaaaaaah” said Twilight, Dropping her quill on the paper. Then she turned around. “AJ, you scared me half to death.”
“Ahm sorry Twilight, Ah didn' mean to.”
“It's okay.”
“So, What were ya doin'.” Applejack Said as she was trying to get her head closer to the piece of paper.
“Nothing,” Twilight said nervously. She snatched the piece of paper from her and put it inside a drawer in the desk. "Just another ordinary friendship report for the princess, that's all."
“If ya say so, sugar cube, we're all waitin' for ya downstairs, that's if y’all come”
“The picnic!” Twilight said to herself. “I completely forgot about it.” Then she looked back to her friend and said. “Of course I'll come. But there are a few chores I need to finish. Take Spike with you and I'll catch up with you later.”
"Okay" Said Applejack, looking curiously at the drawer. “But don' ya be late.”
“Don't worry. I'll be there in a jiffy.”
Applejack then left the room, allowing Twilight to release a sigh of relief.
"Phew, she almost got me exposed. This thing is getting harder by the minute. I hope that I get a good reply from Luna. I hate keeping a secret away from my friends, especially a secret that big."
She then turned back to her desk, got the piece of paper back from the drawer. Picked up her quill and continued to write.
My dearest Luna,
I miss you more than you could ever imagine, even though we were together last night, which was - by the way- the greatest night of my life. So thank you very very much. I feel that I haven't seen you for a decade. But I'm still sticking to my decision and will pick the place for our second date.
Anyway, I'm writing to you about a more important and delicate matter. I know we agreed to keep the things between us secret for a while. But I just can't keep this a secret anymore. I hate keeping things away from my friends. Also they started to notice some changes in my behavior. Which made them suspect that I'm hiding something from them. I know I'm a terrible liar. But what can I do?
I know that would upset you. But I thought you should know how I feel about this. And I'm sure that we'll figure something out. I love you with all my heart and soul. Please remember that all the time. I wish we could meet soon.

PS: Can you send me your reply in the night? I'll be with the girls for the rest of the day. And I also like to read your letters while looking at your moon. It feels like you're talking to me.
“That should do.” Twilight said to herself while wrapping the scroll and putting it in her saddlebag alongside with all the books. She put her bag on, heading outside to meet her fellows at the gardens.
It was a sunny day in Ponyville, perfect day for having a good outdoor time with your friends. The five ponies sat with their purple dragon friend in the gardens. Each one had a cup of tea and a sandwich in front of each of them. Rarity said after taking a sip of her cup. “Girls, I was wondering if you noticed any change in our friend Twilight's behavior as of late.”
Rainbow Dash said while she raised her eyebrow a little. “What kind of change are you talking about?”
“You know Dash, romantic changes. I think that our little lavender mare is in love.”
“Can I, ummmmm, ask something?” Fluttershy said in her whispering like voice.
“Of course you can.”
“What, well, exactly made you say that she is, ummmmmm, is in love?”
“Well, my dear. There are some things that indicate the love cases. Most of the ponies don't notice these changes. But I succeeded in spotting some minor changes in her behavior.”
This was when Pinkie Pie interrupted her with her usual enthusiastic attitude. "Did she start talking to herself, or walking in her house in circles and screaming and shouting? Maybe she is turning into an evil scientist. Maybe this isn't Twilight; this is an evil clone from space that came here to DESTROY ALL OF US."
“What the hay are ya talkin’ about?” Applejack said.
“I was saying that Twilight is an alien, silly.”
They all looked at Pinkie Pie with a very strange look.
“What? Did I say something wrong?”
“Back to our topic,” Rarity said "What I was saying is-" She then paused when glancing Twilight approaching.
“Hey, girls,” Twilight said. “What were you talking about?”
“Nothin' much" Said Applejack. "What took ya so lon' to come?”
“I'm sorry. But I had to finish some work before I came. Where's Spike anyway?”
“I'm right here Twilight.” Spike said as he was coming from the bushes at her back.
She then leaned to his ears, while taking the scroll from her back bag. She whispered “Send this to Princess Luna right now.”
Spike took the scroll from Twilight. Looked strangely at it and at Twilight then said “Okay.” Then he took a deep breath and blew little fire making the scroll turn to some smoke in the air. “Here you go.”
“Thanks Spike” Said Twilight. Then she sat in her place to enjoy the rest of the day with her friends. They kept talking about life. Apple Jack was talking about the rodeo competition and how she was preparing herself for it. Rainbow also started talking about the new tricks she was working on. And Rarity kept talking about her new dresses.
At nighttime, they were preparing to leave. All had a fine time accompanying each other. They started gathering the things, folding the picnic sheet and putting everything in the basket. Then they noticed something coming towards them from the sky.
“How are you my dear friends?” Said the princess as she landed on her feet and folded her big dark blue wings.
“PRINCESS LUNA!” They all exclaimed as they bowed to her.
“Please rise up, all of you. No formalities are required between good friends.”
“Well, if I may ask your highness?” Said Rarity “What is it that made us honored to see you in this lovely night?”
“Well, I have something really important to do.”
“And what is that exactly?” Rainbow Dash said.
“It’s getting something right.”
“Excuse us your highness.” Said Rarity but she was interrupted by the princess.
“Please, you may call me Luna only.”
“Well, if you excuse us Luna. But we don’t understand.”
“I’ll explain.” Twilight said.
“No, please let me explain everything to them.” Then she turned to the other confused mares. “Years have taught me something about friendship. And that thing was that you should never keep a secret from your friends. And I've been keeping a secret away from you.”
“And what’s that secret?” Rainbow Dash said.
“Well, I don't find any more diplomatic way to say it than saying it straight." Princess Luna said. Then she looked to Twilight's face which had a little blush. Then raised her head and said. “The secret was that Twilight and I are in a relationship.”
Everybody looked at Twilight and saw the redness on her face getting more and more obvious. “Thank you Luna.” Twilight said. Then she approached the princess, who covered her with her wing. And then they kissed each other. “You really removed a big load off my heart. But I can’t believe you came all the way from Canterlot just to tell my friends that you love me.”
“You know I would do anything for you my beloved Twilight.”
Then suddenly Rarity shouted “I knew all along. I was right.”
“You knew?” Twilight said.
“Well, I noticed some change in you and thought you were in love. But I would never guess that you’re in love with Princess Luna herself.”
They all chuckled a bit. Then Twilight said. “I’m really sorry for keeping this away from you girls.”
“Don’ mention it.” Applejack Said.
“We’re all happy for you. And that’s all it matters.” Fluttershy said.
“But you should tell us everything.” Rarity said.
“Well, I better go now.” Luna said.
“Wait! Won’t you stay a little bit longer?” Twilight said.
“I wish I could my love. But I have some important matters to deal with back there in Canterlot.”
“Will you come back soon?”
“I’ll try to come back as soon as I can. Good bye to all of you.”
“Bye darling, and take care.”
The princess took the wind once more. And the other mares on the ground were watching her like they were saying good bye. Then they all turned to Twilight.
“So, will you tell us about this relationship, Twilight?” Rarity said.
“You really want to know?” Twilight said.
They all nodded their heads with eagerness. They really want to know. So, Twilight had an idea.
“Tell you what. Why don’t you all come to my house? And I’ll tell you everything and we’re gonna have a slumber party.”
“That’s a great idea. I’ll go get my pajamas.” Pinkie Pie Said.
“Well, let’s all go to our homes. And meet at Twilight’s after an hour.” Rarity said
“Deal.” They all said in one voice. Then they all went apart to their homes. And met at Twilight’s where they all spent the night talking about how that beautiful relationship between Twilight and Luna started.
It had been a while since the princess had last seen her little beloved unicorn. But tonight they got the opportunity to spend some quality time together, as Twilight was spending the day doing some researches with Princess Celestia. So she had the opportunity to borrow her after the session with her sister.
She went to her room right after she raised the moon to clean up for her distinguished guest. Luna maybe a mighty princess, but her room looks like an ordinary teenage girl’s room. Except for the Xbox 360, the badass 36 inch T.V, and the big shelf where she stores all her games.
She started cleaning as fast as she could. She threw out the pile of chip bags that were left on the ground from last night’s Royal Blasting night. She got all the gaming accessories and controllers in their places. Then she hung all her clothes, made her bed, which was the most luxurious piece of furniture in the room with the black silk sheets with some sparkling stars to make it glimmer so eloquently.
She knew that Twilight was very accurate on her timing. A thing that made her have a sense of relief, as she had the time just to finish cleaning and get dressed. After which the door knocked, announcing the arrival of the pony she was waiting for. She went to the mirror to check her look for another time, then she headed straight to the door to open it.
“How is my beautiful princess today?” Twilight said with a very cheerful voice.
“Twilight, How are you my love?” Luna said as she hugged her lover.
“I'm really ecstatic.” Twilight said as she freed herself from Luna's arms. “I missed you so much.”
“I’ve missed my little Sparky too.” Luna Said. She giggled a little herself, noticing a little blush on Twilight's face.
“You look really beautiful tonight.”
“I can’t compare myself to your gorgeous looks.”
“Thanks, Lulu.” Twilight said. Then they nuzzled.
“So, how was your day with Tia?”
“It was great. We worked a lot on the scrolls that Shining Armor gave us about the history of The Crystal Empire. But we still have a lot of translation to do.”
“Did you discover anything new?”
“Well, yes. We had made some great discoveries. It turned out that the magic of the crystal heart came out from the Crystal ponies love to their land, their ruler and each other. That’s how Sombra got the heart to lose its magical abilities. He just made them hate him. And his spell made them lose all their memories about the pre-Sombra era. The thing that made them lose their love for their land, and the love between each other faded gradually.”
“So love is the magic that kept the Crystal Empire on its feet for the centuries before Sombra came and ruled.”
“Not just that. When we came through other scrolls, we found that the main founders made the heart from emerald charmed by pure love. They discovered a way to make love have a materialistic existence as the ordinary unicorn magic.”
“Wow, and how did they manage to obtain something like that?”
“We still don’t know yet. But we know one thing.”
“What is it?”
“That the only bearer of that magic for the last thousand years is Princess Cadence.”
“You mean that Cadence had ancestors from the native crystal ponies.”
“That’s right. She is also the only heir for the throne of the Crystal Empire.”
“So we just put Cadence in her right and legalized place without us knowing.”
“Exactly.”
“These are really important discoveries.”
“Yes, it will help Cadence and Shining a lot in their mission.”
“You’re right.”
They then looked at each other for a moment in silence. It’s like they both were admiring each other in some way. Then Twilight broke the silence first.
“Uhhhh, Luna.”
“What is it sweetheart?”
“Did you tell Princess Celestia about us yet?”
“I mentioned it to her between my words. But I didn't say it straight.”
“I think we should tell her now. After all, she is my mentor and your sister. And it’s a shame that we’ve been together for about two weeks, and she still doesn’t know a thing.”
“I think you are right as always. But we need to select the right time for it.”
“I know that it would be awkward but she has to know. And the sooner we tell her the better.”
“That’s true.”
They both had a look from the window. Twilight admired the beautiful sky of the night. But today it was extra beautiful. Everything was extra bright. The sky was clearer than usual. It was just amazing. She looked at the princess of the night and said.
“You really made a masterpiece from the sky tonight.”
“You really think so?” Luna said bearing a hearty grin on her face.
“I know so. Everything is so perfect. And the moon is so bright."
“Will you believe me if I told you that I did all of this just for you?”
“Really!” Twilight said with great astonishment and huge happiness.
“Really.”
“I- I don't know what to say.”
“You don't have to say anything.”
The two mares looked deeply into each other’s eyes. Twilight saw the reflection of the moon in her love’s eyes. .They both started to get closer to each other and opened their mouths as if they read each other's minds. They then got molten in a deep, sweet kiss. Kept like this until they were both out of breath. They slowly parted and looked again to the glorious sky of the night.
“This night reminds me of our first date.” Twilight said, still looking towards the sky. Then she shifted her head to Luna again and said. “Do you remember it?”
“And how can I forget that wonderful night.”
“I can still smell the odor of that magnificent place. It was so quiet and wonderful, and the best thing was, it was the best place to see the stars.”
“Yeah, that place is my favorite here in Canterlot. It’s the only place where I can be alone to have a little relief from the heavy duties. But being there with you was like being in a magical world. Where the only thing existing is our love.”
“I’ll never forget how you rearranged the stars to read ‘I love you Twilight’ in the sky.”
“It’s the least thing I could do to show to you how I loved you.”
Twilight had a little blush in her cheeks. Then she remembered something very important.
“I've got something for you Luna.” Twilight said.
She went to her bag and started looking for things when she said. “Found it.”
She turned back to Luna levitating a small bronze sculpture of a star embraced with a crescent, with the phrase ‘Together forever’ carved at the base of it with elegant capital letters.
“I know It's nothing compared to what you’ve done that night, or today. But it's just a small thing expressing what I really feel.”
Twilight looked at Luna with a little smile and said. “I really like our nights together Lulu. But tonight is a really remarkable one.”
“Do you want to make it even better?” Luna said with a seductive tone, winking to her marefriend.
Twilight's face turned into deep red when she heard this. But she just wanted to know what her lover really meant. “How so?”
Twilight’s cheeks became a radiant crimson now. She wanted to do it very badly. But she had little fears. “Luna. As much as I want to make love with you, as much as I’m afraid of doing anything wrong. I’ve never done it before you know.”
“Don’t worry. I'll go easy on you. And I thought you said you liked trying new stuff.”
“Y-yes I do. But-“
“No buts. Today you're mine.”
“But I’m afraid that you have to teach me from the top.”
“Then prepare your mind for the first lesson.” Luna said as she pushed Twilight lightly to the bed. Then she got on top of her and started planting several kisses on the mare’s neck. Then she started going slowly down her body to start an experience they will never forget.
The sun of Celestia spread its rays from the large window, illuminating the room of the princess of the night. The light came from the big windows to reveal the bed in the room where the two lovers were laying in deep sleep and their forelimbs around each other in a sweet and soft embrace.
As the sun rose more in the clear sky of the morning. It gently tickled the little unicorn's face forcing her eyes to open up. She slowly opened her eyes to see the face of her Lulu. She admired this beauty of the princess of the night. And she just couldn't think of anything besides how cute this face was. Also her feeling of the soft fur of Luna's forelimbs and against her chest made the whole scene more and more perfect and magical.
“I'm the happiest mare in Equestria.” Twilight said to herself, still admiring the beauty of Luna's face. “No, I'm the happiest mare in the whole galaxy and beyond the whole existence.”
With this thought, Twilight noticed the eyelids of her princess slowly moving. Until they finally opened to reveal those beautiful teal eyes she always got lost in. The princess also had a smile on her face when she saw those big purple eyes of her little Sparky. They just continued laying face to face in silence for a little while until Twilight raised her head.
“Good morning Lulu.” Twilight said.
“Good morning, my love.” Luna said. As she raised her head slowly and got her face closer to Twilight's. They had a short, yet deep kiss. They parted, still lost at each other's eyes.
“Did you sleep well?” Luna said.
“After that experience we had last night, I couldn't help but to sleep like a baby.” Twilight said. And her cheeks got a little crimson when she recalled the events from last night.
Luna giggled a little then said. “I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did.”
“I was afraid at the beginning to be honest. But you were a very good mentor. And I really enjoyed it. But I think I could use some longer sessions sooner.”
“Well, if you want to I can give you an intensive course. With much more advanced details.”
“And I would love to be tutored by you.”
They had a little laugh. Then Twilight said. “But I have to admit that you were right. Last night was a night to remember.”
“I'm glad that you liked it. Well, I probably should take a shower, even though I'll miss your scent."
Twilight giggled a little. As she looked at Luna after she got into the bathroom. She couldn't help but to have a little stare at Luna’s flank. Then she leant back on the pillow with back and looked up to the ceiling, recalling that blissful adventure she had with her lover last night.
She remembered Luna on top of her, kissing very deep. She still had the marvelous taste of Luna's saliva in her mouth. She remembered the tongue wrestle they had in her mouth. The pure pleasure she felt when Luna started to move her hooves on her belly.
She remembered Luna saying “I wanted you for so long.” She also remembered how helpless she was. Even that she had never done or even seen any of this before. She might have read about it once. But she certainly enjoyed every single second of it. All the moaning, the kissing, that pure pleasure she felt dominating her body was simply unforgettable.
But the most important feeling she experienced was that which made all of this possible. This feeling was that of love, this pure beautiful, strong feeling that made her and Luna go to another world, a world of fantasy where just the two of them existed with no other pony to share this heavenly pleasure. It was simply perfect.
She was interrupted with Luna's voice as she said while rubbing her coat with a towel. “What's my little Sparky thinking about?”
“I was just thinking again about last night." Twilight said, turning to Luna. “I can't stop thinking about it. It was just too good to be true.”
“But it was true, and to be honest. I couldn't stop thinking about it either. You really gave me a pure pleasure that I’ve never felt before.”
“But still. There's a little something that bothers me.”
“What is this thing?”
“That Princess Celestia still doesn't know anything about this.”
“I thought we discussed that topic earlier last night.”
“Yes, we did. But it still makes me feel uneasy.”
“I understand. I'll send her everything soon in a note.”
“I think that it would be better if we told her ourselves.”
“And what’s the difference?”
“I think that these matters are better told personally. Also sending her a note will make her feel underestimated.”
Luna looked with a smile to her marefriend then said. “You're just too caring my love. Most of the communications between me and my sister is via notes. But on the other hoof, she might ask you why you didn't sleep in your room last night.”
“You're right.” Twilight said with happiness with that point that Luna found. “How about we tell her today at breakfast?”
“Okay, if that makes you happy.”
“You look so cute when you're caring.”
“You always look cute.”
Twilight looked for a little while to Luna with a smile then said in a really soft voice. “You’re the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.”
“Well, I wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for you. So for me you’re my whole wide world.”
They had a tight embrace. Then Luna took a look at the clock hanging on her wall and said. “We better hurry to the dining room if we want to get any breakfast before Celestia eats it all.”
“You’re right. I wonder where all the food she eats goes.”
“I have no idea.”
They giggled a little then got out of the room heading towards the dining room to have their breakfast. Also they had another tough mission and that was to tell Celestia about what was going on between them.
Celestia was sitting at the dining room. With a long table with all kinds of cheese and baked goods spread on it. The room was made of great marble walls with the same style as the rest of the castle. It had long windows with heavy pink curtains. She was taking a sip of her tea as Luna and twilight made their way into the room.
“Good morning Tia.” Luna said.
“Good morning princess.” Twilight said.
“Good morning to both of you. You came in at the right time. Have a seat.”
Luna took her seat next to Twilight in front of Princess Celestia.
“Would you like some tea Twilight?” Luna said.
“I would love to, thank you princess." Twilight said.
Celestia looked to the two mares with a curious look. Luna was pouring tea in Twilight's cup. Both were looking at each other in the eyes as they were signaling something to each other.
“So Twilight,” Celestia said. “How was your night?”
“It was good.” Twilight said.
“I heard you spent some time with my sister in her room." Celestia said.
“Yes I did.” Twilight said as she turned to Luna. “We spent some good time together.”
“Yes, I really enjoyed her company yesterday.” Luna Said.
“But my guards have told me that they didn't see you come out of Luna's room.” Celestia said with a weird look.
“Well, about that." Twilight said nervously. “We have something to tell you.”
“Luna, do you care to explain to me?” Celestia said.
“Yes, about that. Twilight is going to explain.”
Twilight got struck with these words. Then she leaned to Luna and whispered. “Why do I have to do the explanation? She is your sister.”
“But the idea was yours. And I’m the one who did the explanation to the girls last time.”
“What is it girls. Is there something wrong?” Celestia said with a tone of worrying and awkwardness.
“No, there’s nothing wrong at all?. Twilight said. “The thing is that, well, Princess Luna and I are in a kind of- “
“Kind of what? I don’t understand.” Celestia said.
Twilight turned to Luna. She looked at her like she was screaming for help. But Luna had done nothing but gave her a small encouraging smile. She then realized that she had to say it sooner or later. So she gathered her courage, let out a sigh then said. “We are in a kind of romantic relationship.”
“What? For how long have you been together?”
“We have been together for about two weeks now.”
“We’re sorry that we hadn’t told you earlier Tia.” Luna said. “But we were just looking for the right time to tell you so you wouldn’t get upset.”
“And why would I get upset?”
“Because you’re her mentor, and I thought that you would feel that would affect her studies.”
Celestia smiled then said. “Well, of course I wouldn’t get upset. In fact I’m happy that you two fell in love with each other. It made me feel surer that my sister has turned completely to her old self. Also with Twilight’s new found feelings to you, it would be easier to study the magic of love of the Crystal Empire.”
“You’re right princess.” Twilight said. “Why didn’t I think of that?”
They all giggled a little then they all left the breakfast table. Princess Celestia went to the throne room first. But Princess Luna had to go to say farewell to her love before she went on to her formal duties.

Another sunny day at Sugar cube corner. It was still early in the morning so the place was empty. The place was so clean that you could eat off the floor. The tablecloth was so tidy, it would be stamped with a seal of approval by Rarity herself. You can smell the dazzling scent of the fresh baked cupcakes coming from the kitchen. Or see the sweet cakes in the refrigerated display that would make you drool.
Twilight opened the wooden door, which made the small bell on top of the door make the familiar ringing sound, the thing that made the pink mare dash from the kitchen to stand behind the counter to receive the new customer. She came out with her usual attitude and wide, cheerful smile.
“Welcome to Sugarcube Corner. How may I help you?” Pinkie pie said with her usual wide smile. “Oh! Hey, Twi.”
“Hello Pinkie.” Twilight said, giggling a little. “How are you?”
“Fine, I Just baked a fresh batch of cupcakes. Want some?”
“No thanks. I came here because I need your help with something.”
“Of course, I'm always happy to help." Pinkie said smiling. Then she wore her curiosity face. “Help you with what exactly?”
“A party!” Pinkie exclaimed. “Is it your birthday. I totally forgot to get you a present. Please don't be mad at me. Please~.”
“Oh! Then it's Rarity's. Quick, we need to get her a present. Do you think she will like some cupcakes as a present? Or should I bake a cake for her?”
“Pinkie.” Twilight said as she was about to lose her patience. “Can you please let me explain?”
“Sure.” Pinkie said. Then she finally stopped bouncing around and managed to stand still.
“Thank you. I want to plan a party for me and Luna. Today is our first month anniversary and I want it to be something special.”
“Say no more. I'll plan you the best party in the history of the best parties. There will be games and food and everypony will be there-“
“Well, before you get too excited.” Twilight said interrupting the pink mare. “I wanted this party to be private, just for us.”
“You want me to plan a party just the two of you. That sounds more like a date to me.”
“No Pinkie. I meant the six of us and the two princesses.”
“Princess Celestia is coming!”
“Yes, that's why I want it to be private. You know how everypony gets when Princess Celestia is around.”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
“Also I don’t want the party to be fancy. Luna may be a princess. But she likes to keep it simple as much as she could.”
"So, you want a simple private party for eight.” Pinkie said. Reviewing what Twilight said. “What else do you want in the party?”
“Just two things, firstly, I would like the party to be in Sweet Apple Acres' barn; because it will be more private there. Also the place is big and roomy so we can feel free to walk around. Secondly, I want you and Applejack to bake me a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting with the phrase ‘Happy Anniversary’ Written on it.”
“Okie dokie, I'll go to Sweet Apple Acres now to start working on it.”
“Thank you Pinkie. I know you would plan an awesome party.”
“It’s nothing, and happy anniversary to you and Luna.”
“Thanks. See you tonight.”
“Bye.”
Twilight returned home from sugar cube corner, entered her room. Then she took a few deep breaths as she threw herself on her bed. She rested her head on the pillow and gave a long gaze to her room’s ceiling, remembering the events of the most remarkable moon of her life so far. She thought about the day Luna spilled out her love, their first kiss at sunset the day she knew about that love, their first date and their first night together.
She recalled the memories of their second date. That was in Twilight’s house as they spent the whole night star gazing, which was one of the activities they loved doing together. Then they ended the night with one of Luna’s intensive sessions that Twilight requested and absolutely enjoyed.
She giggled a little to herself as she shifted her sight to her left. She gave a long look at the almost finished golden sculpture that she was working on. It was a big copper gold sculpture of her and Luna. The two mares were standing in the same position as Princess Cadence and Shining Armor were standing when they performed their love spell with their horn tips touching each other.
She rose from her bed and went to the sculpture. She took a closer and detailed look at the sculpture. She was to make sure that everything was perfect. But when she was looking at Luna’s wings she had a really terrible thought. She thought about the fact that made her hesitant about that relation even before she knew that she and Luna had something between them.
The fact that Luna is an immortal alicorn always made Twilight feel worried. She tried for a long time to ignore that thought and to deal with Luna like it was nothing. But she couldn’t ignore the real self of her lover any longer. Also she couldn’t help but to think about the future of that relation. She also knew that the two mares lived in two distanced cities. And neither of them could leave their positions.
She got so drowned into her worries that she started crying. Her mind told her that this relation is hopeless. But her heart didn’t have the word hopeless in its dictionary. The only fact and the only thing that her heart knows and sees is that Twilight loves Luna. But she snapped out of her thoughts by the entrance of Rarity and Spike.
“Hello, Twilight.” Rarity said.
“Hey, Twi.” Spike said.
“Oh!” Twilight said, trying to hide her face while wiping away her tears. Then she turned, smiling to them. “Hey guys. What is it?”
“Well, I’ve heard that you’re throwing a party celebrating you and Luna's first anniversary.” Rarity said. “So, I thought about making you something special to wear for this special day.”
“Thanks Rarity.” Twilight said smiling. “You really didn't have to.”
“Of, course I had to Twilight. It's your first anniversary and you must look outstanding for Luna. And you can also consider it as a little gift for this occasion.”
Then she summoned a dark blue silk dress. It had short sleeves and a short skirt with a sparkling silver strip around the ends. It was tight with a silver crescent on its chest. It also had at its end some black patches like the ones of Luna’s cutie mark.
“I remembered you saying that Luna likes to keep it simple.” Rarity said. “And I took this into consideration when I designed it.”
“It's beautiful! Thanks.”
“It's nothing, really. Come on. Try it.”
Twilight went to the back of the room to try on the dress. Then she came back within minutes.
“So, what do you think?”
“You look amazing.” Spike said.
"Hmm, it’s good." Rarity said. “But it needs to be pulled a little from the back of the left side.”
Rarity summoned her sewing kit and her glasses. Then she started to work more on the dress. With Spike getting bored, he got out of the room.
“So, Twilight,” Rarity said as she worked, Trying to break the silence. “It was a good month. Wasn’t it?”
“Yeah, it was good." Twilight said. Then she sighed, trying to overcome a tear forming in her eyes. “Too good to be true.”
“Are you okay darling? Did something wrong happen between you?”
“No, everything is fine. But I was just thinking about the future. I mean, she is a goddess and I'm just another mare. Do you think that she would still love me? Or is it just a phase in her life and she would forget about me?”
“Don't you say that. You're The Keeper of The Element of Magic. You're a special mare. And you love her, don't you?”
“Of course I love her.”
“And are you sure that she loves you back?”
“Of course I’m sure.”
“Then I guarantee that she will love you forever.”
“But I’m still having that huge paradox inside of me. My heart tells me to keep with Luna. But my mind tells me that the future of this relationship is unknown.”
“And that’s the beauty of any relationship. But tell you what. Just speak out your worries to Luna. I’m sure that you’ll be able to figure it out.”
“You’re right. I’ll talk to her tonight after the party.”
“Good for you.” Said Rarity as she pulled the needle out of the dress and made it vanish. Then she took a look around the mare to check her work. “Prefect, we're done.”
“Thanks Rarity, for both the dress and the advice.”
“That's what friends are for, right?” Rarity said smiling.
“Yeah, you're right.”
“Well, I must go now. I must look as fabulous as possible in front of the princesses. Well, au revoir. "
“Bye.” Said Twilight as she took off her dress and hung it firmly in her wardrobe.
“Rarity is right.” Twilight said to herself as she went to her desk. “We’ll figure it out together. And everything will be fine as long as we love each other.”
She then took a paper and her quill from the inkwell. And she started writing.
Dearest Luna,
Happy first month anniversary my love, I've missed you so much that the stars would explode. I wish that you're well. And that you miss me as much as I miss you.
I want to ask if you can come to Ponyville tonight with Princess Celestia. So we can spend some time together. Also I need the Princess in something urgent. It's about the scrolls Shining Armor had sent. I've made some new discoveries. Also there’s something really important I want to talk to you about.
I really wish that you can come. I really want to see you.

“There.” Twilight said. Then she yelled out Spikes name.
“Yes.” Spike said.
"Can you send this to Luna, please?” She said as she wrapped the scroll with dark blue ribbon.
“Sure.” He said as he blew his green fire, turning the scroll to smoke. Then he was about to turn to head out room when Twilight said.
“Can you wait here for some moments? I need you to send me another letter that I will write now.”
“Okay, But please be quick. I want to spend some time with Rarity before she leaves.”
She giggled a little from what the little guy said. Then she turned back to her desk. Took another piece of paper and her quill and started writing.
Dear Princess Celestia,
As you know, Today is me and Luna's first month anniversary. So I was planning to make a surprise party for Luna here in Ponyville. And I wish that you would grant us with your attendance.
Also I told Princess Luna that I needed you for something urgent. So can you please go along with her? I've found some interesting things in the scrolls Shining Armor have sent. Let’s say that Cadence have more powers than we could ever imagine.
I really wish that you can attend the party. And please don't mention anything to Princess Luna. I don't want to ruin the surprise.

“Done,” Twilight said as she wrapped the scroll with a red ribbon. “Here you go spike.”
“Finally,” He said as he sent the second scroll. “Can I go now?”
“Sure.” Twilight said. Then she giggled at Spike who was running out of the room to catch Rarity before she goes. Then she went to the sculpture to put on the final touches.
It was another busy day for the royal sisters here in Canterlot. As always there was a lot of duties and dealing with diplomatic and political issues. The things that made Luna bored to the bones. But today nothing would pull down her sky high spirit.
She had read Twilight’s letter about a hundred times now, maybe more. And every time she would have the same genuine smile on her face. Of course she knew that her lover has prepared something really special for her. But until now she couldn’t figure out what. So she asked her sister. Hoping that her student may have mentioned something to her.
“Hey Tia” Said Luna.
“Good afternoon my dear sister” Said Celestia as she sat on the lunch table. “Ah. What a day.”
“I agree. It was a busy day indeed. I don’t know how you dealt with all this this by yourself.”
“I've managed it. But I’m really happy that you’re back here by my side to assist me.”
Luna replied with a smile. Then she looked at the plate in front of her. Then she stared back at Celestia.
“Is there’s something you want to tell me sis?” Celestia said.
“Yes, I received a letter from Twilight this morning asking us to come to Ponyville tonight for some important matter.”
“Did she say something about that important matter?”
“She said something about the scrolls that you got her from the Crystal Empire.”
“So she found new things, I knew I could count on her.”
“Yeah, it seems like that. But I think there’s something else that Twilight has made for me.”
“Like what?”
“I think that she might have prepared something special, like a surprise for me. You know it’s our first month anniversary today.”
“It is? I didn't know.”
“So she didn't mention anything about it to you.”
“Not a single word.” Celestia said in a very plain face. But she was internally laughing her guts off. “But I think we should get you well dressed for the night just in case you know.”
“But wouldn't it be a little awkward if I went there all fancy and it was just an ordinary night.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll put you in something fancy, yet casual and sexy. So it won’t be awkward.”
“And where in Equestria would you get something like that.”
“Don’t you worry my sister, just come with me and I’ll show you.”
They left the table and went to Celestia’s bedchamber upstairs. She opened the wardrobe and got out a white silk dress with golden stripes. It looked like an ordinary T-shirt and a skirt, with a belt around it, which makes the whole design very brilliant. And what added the “sexy” part were the tightening parts around the flanks and the hind limbs. Plus the cut sleeves for a little more spice.
Luna looked at the dress with astonishment. She knew that her sister had a sense of fashion. But this was beyond all her expectations.
“So, do you like it?” Said Celestia with a smile as she saw her sister’s opened mouth.
“It’s perfect.” Said Luna “But do you think it will get Twilight’s approval?”
“Not with these colors.” Celestia said. She then lit up her horn and touched the dress with it causing it to flash so bright that Luna had to cover her eyes. After the flash faded Luna looked at the dress, which was now black instead of white with stripes of sparkling shades of blue and with Luna’s cutie mark on its chest.
“Perfect.” Celestia said admiring her work for a while. Then she turned to Luna. “Now you go and try it.”
Without a word Luna took the dress and put it on. Then she went to the mirror and took a little look. Then she turned to Celestia. “How do I look?”
“You look beautiful.” Celestia said with a little smile. “Now, let’s get your hair done.”
“I can’t wait for the night to come.” Said Twilight with a very exciting tone as she watched the sun falls below the horizon. “Is everything ready Pinkie?”
“Yup, everything is ready. I've finished the decorations and the baked goods. I think AJ finished baking the apple pies and got us some fine and fresh cider.” The bouncing pink mare by her side said. “It’s going to be PERFECT.”
“When did she say she is going to arrive?” Rarity said as she was fixing her mane for the fiftieth time in the past hour.
“Ya know.” Rainbow Dash said. ” I've never understood all that love thing. But I’m happy that there’s a lover in our group.”
“And why is that?” Rarity said.
“Because I know one of my friends is happy. And that makes me happy.”
“Can you please be quiet? The moon is about to rise.”
They all watched as the moon rose bright replacing the sun, covering the sky with a beautiful black veil with millions of sparking stars.
“Isn't it beautiful?” Said Twilight still gazing to the sky of the night.
“It is one of the most beautiful nights I've ever seen.” Rarity said. “I guess that Princess Luna had prepared something for you too Twilight.”
Twilight replied with a little smile, and then she said “It reminds me of her hair, just as clear, sparkling and soft.” She then took a deep breath from the cool breeze of the night. “I’ll go and check on Applejack.”
“No need.” Applejack Said as she came back from the kitchen. With a tray full of apple fritters. “I’ve got you a sample from my makings.”
“Thanks, AJ.” Said Twilight when she lifted the fritter and put it in her mouth. “Oooh! This is so good.”
“Well, its mah secret recipe ya know.”
“I really want to thank you all for helping me out, and making everything so perfect and special.”
“No need darling.” Rarity said.
“We’ll always be there for you Twilight.” Fluttershy said.
“Oh Oh! Here come the princesses.”
They all looked as the royal wagon landed in front of them. Then Luna rushed from it and gave Twilight a big hug.
“Happy anniversary my love.” Luna said.
“Happy anniversary to you too darling.” twilight said as she broke from the hug. She then looked at her marefriend. “You look stunning.”
“You look really beautiful too.” Luna said. Then she turned to the other girls. “Oh! How silly of me. I forgot to greet you all my friends. Please forgive me.”
“It’s nothing to apologize for your highness.” Rarity said. “It’s really understandable that you really miss Twilight and was really excited to see her.”
“Yeah, you’re right.” Luna said with a goofy smile. “Thank you for your understanding.”
“Hello to all of you my friends.” Celestia said.
“Your highness, How are you?” Rainbow Said.
“Princess Celestia, I’m so you glad you could make it.” Twilight said.
“I’ve been fine Rainbow Dash. So Twilight, what was the important matter you wanted me for?”
“Oh! Yeah right, follow me please.”
“To where?” Celestia said.
“To the barn, you’ll know everything there.”
They all walked together to the barn. Then Twilight pointed to Luna to step forward and open the door. And when she did she let out a huge gasp as she looked at the ‘HAPPY 1st ANNIVERSARY LUNA’ sign and the decorations.
“HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.” They all shouted at the same time.
“This is all for me?” Luna Said.
“It’s for us sweetie.” Twilight said, and then she gave Luna a little sweet kiss.
They all walked in. Then Pinkie started the music and they all sat at the table, then started eating and drinking and singing. And with the cider flowing the sexy talking had started.
“You know.” Said Twilight –semi drunk- “I’ve forgot to give you your second gift.”
“And what is it? An after party?” Luna said in a seductive tone that made them all laugh.
“Don’t rush things sweetie. You’ll have to put me on a real test tonight. But really look behind your back.”
Luna turned. Then twilight revealed the cover from the sculpture of her and her love. The thing that made them all gasp and made Luna nearly shed tears.
“I- I don’t know what to say.” Luna said. “You really got my flanks right. I’m impressed.”
They all laughed. Then Luna gripped Twilight into a very long, intimate kiss.
After that they all started talking generally, they all noticed that Rarity and Applejack had been whispering a lot. They were also exchanging weird glances and giggling. They all looked at the two mares with curiosity but suspected nothing from the thing that was to come.
Applejack stood up on her hooves and started like she was about to give a speech. She cleared her throat to give a signal for the others to pay attention to her.
“There’s something ah’ve been waitin’ for a long time to say.” AJ began. “First, Ah wanna say that the last two years have changed a lot of things in me. They made me know some ponies in a different way.”
“Can you just cut to the chase?” Rainbow said.
“Alright you mood spoiler, the thin’ is. Rarity an’ are datin’”
There was a moment of silence. Then they all burst out laughing.
“Good one AJ.” Pinkie said who was rolling on the ground from laughing.
“Girls, Applejack is serious. We are seeing each other at the moment.” Rarity said in a serious tone.
They all suddenly stopped laughing and fixed their eyes on the new couple. Their mouths were open from the effect of the surprise. They knew the two mares, and they definitely knew that it would be impossible for them to get together in that kind of relation.
“How and when did this exactly happen?” Twilight said which was still astonished.
“I think you should tell ‘em Rares.” AJ said to her companion.
“No, you’re better at telling stories. You do tell them darling.”
“As you wish mah lady,” Said AJ as she took a little look on the gazing faces of her friends. ”It was a sunny day in Sweet Apple Acres. I was just getting to my chores when Rares dropped by……”

It wasn't something odd for Rarity to pay a visit to Sweet Apple Acres, especially when she wants some place to clear her mind and somepony to talk to after a stressful day. But that day she had a different purpose in her mind.
It has been a while since she had got her mind straight about her feelings for Applejack. And she came here to spill it out.
“Good morning Applejack.” Rarity said with a smile.
“Good morning Rarity. How are you?” Applejack said while waving her hoof to her friend.
“I’m fine thank you. How are you?”
“Ahm well too.”
“So, what are you doing?”
“Just gettin’ to my mornin’ chores. The cider season is comin’ and ah need to get all the apples off the north field today.”
“You seem busy. Perhaps I should come sometime else.”
“Nah, it is fine. You can stay here as long as you want to.”
“Are you sure that I won’t interrupt you or anything?”
No no, actually I usually get bored from workin’ and you can help me concentrate more.”
The two mares headed to the field. Where Applejack had got her buckets set up under the trees. Just as they arrived Applejack started bucking the first tree, forcing all the apples in the tree to fall into the baskets.
Rarity has always admired the strength of the tan mare. How she got all the apples from the trees with a single strong kick.
“So, Ahmm, Applejack.”
“What is it Rarity?”
“Well, I have this client who wanted me to make her a dress. She has the same body form as yours. You’re maybe an inch taller and a lot stronger. Also her coat color is the same as yours, maybe a tone or two lighter.”
“And why are you tellin’ me that?”
“Because I might need your help model the dress for me. That’s if you want to, of course.”
“Well, Ah don’t see a reason to say no.”
“That’s great. Let’s say, tomorrow at noon?”
“Sounds good to me. But can I know the style of the dress?”
“It’s a, ahm, a tight soirée dress.”
“Tight as in skinny tight, right?”
“Well, kind of.”
“What do you mean?”
“The right description of the style is that it’s a spicy style.”
“Hmmmm, spicy.”
“I hope that this doesn’t bother you.”
“Hehe, na.”
“So you’re still going to model it, right?”
“Yeah, of course I will.”
“Oh, just one thing you want to know.”
“What is it?”
“It comes also with ‘spicy’ leather socks.”
The tan mare’s cheeks turned red when she heard about the socks. Then there was a moment of silence. The two mares had a fast eye contact that Applejack broke by looking away. Rarity just adored the scene of the shy mare, but she had to break the silence before the situation got more awkward.
“If you refuse to model it, I’ll completely understand.”
“No no, Ah know it’s important to ya so I’ll do it.
“Thank you, really.”
“Don’ mention it.”
They continued moving on as Applejack was bucking tree after tree like it was nothing. And it was kind of amusing to Rarity how she did this job with such ease. But she was always curious about the mechanism the Apple family used to do that job. Or maybe she was just willing to keep the conversation going with her crush.
“Applejack, Can I ask you something?”
“Sure, go ahead.”
“I was wondering about how you manage to get all the apples from the tree with one kick. Also how you get them all in the baskets without dropping any apples on the ground at the same time.”
Applejack smiled a little. “Well, you aren't the only one who asked me the same question. And ah would always say that was mah secret. But I’ll tell you only if you promised that you never tell anypony.”
“I promise. You have my word.”
“You have to do a Pinkie promise.”
“Do I have to?”
“If you want to know. Yes, you have to.”
“Okay fine. Cross my heart. Hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye.”
“Okay then. You see, all the tree’s branches are connected together with each other. Also with the stem the fruits and leaves with the wooden fiber of the stem. This fiber is hard enough to transport the energy of my kicks to each and every branch and fruit without losing much of power in the form of waves. The trick is to hit the tree right in the center of its gravity with the right power. An inch wrong or hitting too hard or too soft, and you won’t get what you want.”
“And do all the trees have the same gravity center?”
“Nah, they differ from tree to tree.”
“And how do you determine it?”
“Ah just memorize it from the shape of the tree. All the trees of the same shape have the same gravitational center.”
“Wow, you really know a lot about trees.”
“Well, Ah’ve been raised in an apple farm. And all ah know is about apples and apple trees.”
“And pastries.”
“Pastries?” Applejack said as she raised her eyebrow.
“Yes, you’re the best baker in Equestria, besides Pinkie Pie.”
“Ah stop it really, Ahm not that good.”
“Oh don’t be so modest, even though it’s one of your best qualities.”
“That’s really nice of you Rarity. Thanks.”
“No need to thank me darling. After all I’m not complimenting you; I’m stating a fact.”
Applejack’s cheeks turned as red as the apples she was picking. Then an awkward silence covered the place. The two mares looked each other in the eyes in a state of admiration. And to take the opportunity to shuffle up their cards for the next and the last round of the emotional duel. But Rarity was sticking to her normal strategy.
The game started again by Applejack this time with tossing out the casual card of questioning about Rarity’s work. She knew that she wouldn't care for a second about what happens in the fashion world. But this was a good way to get the conversation going again and break the awkward moment.
“So, how is your work?”
“It’s good; I have been working on my new spring collection. I’m getting it all from nature’s beauty, using mostly the hues of green and blue. But I’m trying to stay on the simple outlines this time as it’s the new trend in the fashion world.”
“Ahm sure that whatever ya’ll come up with is gonna be on top of the market’s sales.”
“Oh! Thank you for your nice compliment.”
“Ah thought you knew me better than that Sugar cube. Ya know ahm not the complementing type. And what ahm tellin’ ya is the honest truth.”
With these words Rarity’s cheeks became a radiant red. The thing that made Applejack giggle a little as she bucked her last tree of the day.
“Well, Ah think we’re done here.”
“Wow, it didn’t feel like it took that long.”
“Ah know. Ah gotta admit, being with ya makes time fly by.”
They just looked at the clear sky of that awesome afternoon. The sun gave out that beautiful warmth to their coats. It was a little break from that emotional battle they were having. Rarity had a hard round, but she wasn’t willing to give up just yet.
“Ah don’t know about you but all that buckin’ made me starvin’. Care for a bite?”
“No thank you darling.”
“Are you sure, ah have got fresh baked apple pies.”
“Well, if that’s the matter. I think I’ll have a slice or something.”
“Ah know that ya won’t be able to resist it. Come on it’s in the house.”
They both headed to Applejack’s house. Both were silent as they were thinking about what they will do next. But Rarity knew that it has to be done now.
They both entered the kitchen. There were two apple pies freshly baked and ready on the table and the smell of it would have made Rarity drool. But she got hold of herself.
“These smell simply delightful.”
“Ah hope you like its taste as you like the smell. It’s a new recipe ah’ve been workin’ on.”
“I’m sure it will taste as good as it smells.”
“Ah hope so, Tea?”
“Yes, please.”
Applejack had already got the pot boiling. Then she cut a slice of the pie for herself and her companion and poured the tea.
“Here ya go.”
“Thank you dearly.” Rarity said as she levitated the plate and the cup to herself from her friend’s hooves. Then she picked up the fork with her magic, put it in the pie, and slowly placed it into her mouth and started chewing.
“So, what do ya think?”
“It’s marvelous. The crispiness of the shell placed with the moist and tender insides which have that desired bittersweet flavor. How did you get that recipe?”
“You see, Ah had that problem that some of the pies ah’ve been making were kinda dry on the inside. So ah thought about adding extra water but it just made the pie crust loosen up. But when ah used strong cider it kept the pie together, moistened the insides and gave that bittersweet flavor as an extra bonus.”
“That’s genius, I love it.”
They started eating when both their eyes met and just didn't want to separate. Each one’s eyes were calling the other. Their minds worked at the same time and spoke the same words.
“Rarity ah-“
“Applejack I-“
They both gave a little giggle at that. Then Rarity said. “You go first.”
“Nah, ya go first.”
“No, you first, please.”
“Nah, ya first.”
“Apple Jack please, I insist.”
“Alright, Well, ah- am…..,” Applejack started as she began trembling and sweating. “We’ve been good friends for a long time now.”
“Yes, for about two years I suppose.”
“Yeah, so ummmm. Ah was thinkin’ and ah want to tell you that a –“
The mare has been interrupted by the lips of her companion. Applejack was shocked at first but recovered quickly and it was replaced by sheer delight. As she closed her eyes and met with her in that blissful kiss. They stayed in the embrace for as they could then they drifted apart when their lungs cried out for air.
“So, ya-“
“Yes, I love you, you silly goose.”
“And all this time ah’ve been hidin’ it. Ah’ve loved you for ages.”
They just stayed with their forelimbs around each other for a while. Each lost in the eyes of the other mare’s eyes, thanking Celestia for that blissful love. They both were shattered from that tug war they were having. But it was all worth the first second of that wonderful moment.
“Rares.”
“Yes darling.”
“There’s somethin’ ah need to show ya.”
“Of course, where is that thing?”
“It’s a place I like to go to. It’s at the west corner of the farm.”
“Okay. Let’s go.”
“Just finish your pie sugar cube and we’ll head there straight away.”
Rarity devoured the pie in front of her. Then they went to that place. They walked straight for about thirty minutes then they reached a hill.
“Are we there yet?” Rarity said.
“Almost there, it’s just above the hill.”
Rarity sighed then started to climb the hill with her lover. It took a lot of effort as the hill was high. But the view from above was all worth it.
She saw a view of the wide green plains of Sweet Apple Acres with all the apple trees and the river. She also could see Ponyville in the distance. What made the scene more perfect was the sunset behind Ponyville. The whole thing was breathtaking.
“Ah like to come to this place when I need to relax or to have a moment with myself.”
“It’s magnificent Applejack. Thank you dear for showing me this wonderful place.”
Applejack replied with a smile. She wrapped her forelimb around Rarity’s waist. Rarity also did the same thing. Then they watched the sun going down.
After what Applejack said about her and Rarity seeing each other, evrypony in the party had the same look on their faces. Their mouths were opened like they were mopping the ground with it. They were in complete surprise, staring at the tan mare with her wide smile and a hoof around her lover’s shoulder.
“And that’s how we got together.” Applejack said with a wide smile. Then she looked at the faces of her friends. “Did ah say somethin’ wrong?”
“No AJ.” Rainbow said. “It’s just. We never expected you guys to be, ya know. Together.”
“I know this is a little bit strange.” Rarity said. “But this is how love works. You don’t know when it will strike or who you’ll be tied to. And it happened that fate got me and AJ tied together. And I’m more than happy with it.”
“We are all happy for both of you.” Princess Celestia said.
“So, what happened afterwards?” Princess Luna said.
“Nothin’ much,” Applejack said. “I went to Rare’s the following day for the modeling. And it ended up with both of us in bed together.”
“Oooooooooh!” Pinkie said. “And how was it? Tell us, tell us, tell us.”
“Well, it was really good.” Applejack said. “Ah never felt a pleasure like that in mah whole life.”
“Neither did I,” Rarity said. “And to be honest, I never thought that I would use my horn in anything rather than magic. But I found another great benefit for it.” This is when both the mares got red on the cheeks. And the entire group just burst out laughing.
The rest of the party went fast. The whole group just continued chatting on the topic of the hour, which was the new strange couple in the group. The majority of the talking was about how naughty the two mares got with each other that night. It turned out that the fashionista had a little freaky side when it comes to pleasuring in the bedroom. And Applejack couldn't be happier to get this part of her marefriend revealed.
The night grew late. And it was the time for the ponies to call it for the night. But for Twilight it was the beginning of a tough task. As much as she didn't want to bother her love with this topic in this marvelous night, but she knew that this had to be done. And now was the best time to do it.
She went to walk beside Luna on their way out of the barn to Twilight’s house. Luna walked besides her looking at the gorgeous sky of the night. They were both silent for a while, which wasn't strange for either of them as they were both from the quiet type. But Luna got a little worried when she looked at her marefriend’s face and saw that she was in deep thought.
“Huh!” Twilight said in a kind of surprise. “Yeah, it’s a fine night.”
“What’s wrong dear? You seem really down, even though you looked so freshened up in the party.”
“I was just caught up in my thoughts. That’s all.”
“Twily, don’t lie to me. Tell me what’s bothering you. Maybe I can help.”
Twilight nearly cried then. She couldn’t hide her worries anymore. But she’s still afraid of what might happen if she talked to Luna about something like that. The worrying was killing her and she didn’t realize that tears were already coming from her eyes.
“Dear,” Luna said, trying so hard to hide her tears from Twilight. “Please calm down and tell me what’s wrong. I can’t stand seeing you like that.”
“I- I’m sorry.” Twilight said, as she looked up to her love with teary eyes. “I ruined the night for us.”
“Don’t say that dear. But please tell me what’s wrong.”
“I’m worried.”
“Worried? Worried about what?”
“About us, our future, what will happen to us?”
“What do you mean? I think we’re really fine.”
“We are now. But I’m afraid that I might lose you.”
“Why in the world would you say that?”
“Luna, you’re a princess. And I’m just, just another mare.”
Luna looked at Twilight with a smile and brushed her mare’s soft deep purple mane with her hoof, then said with a very soft tune. “Twilight, you aren't just another mare. You’re a wonderful unicorn, the holder of the element of magic, the reviver of the elements of harmony, the most powerful magic user after Tia, I and Cadence. And the most important thing of all, my savior. I think this one only makes you way beyond another mare for me.”
“But still. We live in two very distant cities. And I can’t leave here. And of course I can’t think of telling you to leave Canterlot for me.”
“This is nothing to worry about. You know you’re always welcomed to come to visit me at any time. But I still think that this isn't what really worries you. Am I right?”
“You’re right.”
“Then what is it really.”
Twilight looked back at Luna. She was still worried to tell her about her real worry. She was worried about the reaction of Luna. But she already got into this and there’s no way she can turn back now.
“I’m afraid to tell you.”
“And why is that?”
“Because it’s something you can’t change.”
“You can still tell me.”
“I’m worried about you being an immortal alicorn. Luna I know you don’t like talking about this. But I can’t stop thinking that you’re still a goddess. And in about a hundred years from now I’ll be dead and you’ll forget all about me and be with another mare or stallion and completely forget about me.”
“How could you say that? Twilight, I can’t believe you might think about that. I’ll never ever forget about you.”
“But I can’t stop worrying about it Luna. I don’t know why but these thoughts never leave my head.”
“You’re just paranoid about nothing my dear. Please, stop worrying about the future. And have faith that everything is going to be just fine.”
“You promise?”
“I promise. In fact, I feel that there will be a huge change that will solve all of our problems.”
“What change?”
“I’m not sure. But I just feel that this will come.”
They walked silently for a while. Then Luna stopped suddenly and looked to the moon. Twilight looked at her with worry because she saw that Luna’s eyes were watery. Twilight came closer to Luna and put her hoof on Luna’s chin and lowered her face. She looked at Luna’s eyes for a while then she started talking.
“What is it Luna? Did what I say bother you?” Twilight said with teary eyes.
“No, not at all dear, it’s just. I have my worries too you know. I’m afraid that one day my Nightmare Moon spirit would revive inside me and hurt you.”
“Luna, I assure you that the elements of harmony had eliminated the spirit completely. You don’t have to worry about it anymore.”
“But I can turn myself into her and use her shape. Doesn't that mean that a part of it was left in me?”
“No, the change is just physical. Any simple transformation spell can do it. I mean, sometimes when I miss you, I, umm, cast a spell on myself and take your shape and look at myself in the mirror.” Twilight had a little blush when she said that.
Luna giggled a little and said. “You don’t need to be embarrassed because of this.”
Twilight said in a kind of sassy voice. “But it is embarrassing.”
“No, I think it’s so sweet of you to do this.”
“Really?”
“Indeed, also when thinking about it. You'll make a very adorable me.”
They were in front of the library at that point. It was a really emotional walk. The walk that usually took about ten to fifteen minutes felt like an eternity to Twilight. But she could finally get her head to rest from these thoughts. She took a deep breath like there was a huge rock on her chest and Luna came and saved her before she completely choked. She really felt a great gratitude for having such a great lover.
“Here we are.” Twilight said as she opened the door of the library. “Come in.”
Luna went through the door of the library. Then when she stood in the middle of the room, Twilight was already on the stairs. Luna was just moving towards the stairs but Twilight gave her a sign to wait, and Luna did just so. But it didn't take very long for Twilight to come back downstairs.
Twilight came back wearing a tight leather pants and a tight leather sleeveless top. With some sexy socks covering her forelimbs. She stood in front of Luna in a really hot pose, already giving Luna a feeling of seduction.
“I know that I've been all cheesy and emotional on the way.” Twilight said. “And this is your reward of being such a perfect marefriend.”
“Oh, well I think that you should get emotional more often so I can get more rewards.”
Then Luna approached Twilight and put her forelimb on her chest and started moving it all around. She felt the sweet soft fur of her lavender lover. She could sense her heartbeats calling her out. She then approached with her face to Twilight's, who instantly responded to the call. Then their lips met in a very strong kiss that made the two mares give out a loud moan of pleasure.
A rescue from the sea of despair
It was really a hot day in Ponyville. Twilight was sweating when she woke up even though she slept without a cover and watered the floor of the room. She tried to wake up but the heat made it hard for her to even open her eyes. She felt that the gravity on the bed was multiplied ten times. But eventually she got hold of herself and got out of bed and went to take a nice cold shower.
When she got out she went to her dresser. And the first thing she laid her eyes on was the picture of her beloved Luna. Then a frown was formed on her face because she just remembered that she hadn’t seen her love for two weeks. She had missed her so much that she really considered going and spending the week with her in Canterlot. But she knew how busy she was and that she couldn't just pop up unannounced at any time.
She just let a sigh and went to her desk and took her quill and a parchment. She kept silent for a while, not knowing what to write. But an idea just popped in her head and she started writing.
Dearest Luna,
You don’t know how much I miss you. I can’t believe that I haven’t seen your face in two long weeks. I miss everything about you. I know how busy you are and that you can’t help it. But I can’t help missing you so.
Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I want to see you so badly. Also I wanted to try something new. As we now have another couple in the group we can go on a double date. I've never gone to one before and I think it would be fun.
I really hope you can make it. I really miss you and want to see you dearly. Write back to me as soon as you can so I can arrange the date with Applejack and Rarity.

She wrapped the letter in Luna’s dark blue ribbon. Then she went to fetch Spike. He was out of sight as always since he heard about the relationship between Rarity and AJ. The poor little dragon went into a state of depression and spent most of his time in the library storage room, and refused to speak to anypony. But it was enough now for it. Twilight had to end this once and for all. But she knew she couldn’t do it herself even that she tried as hard as she could and in every possible way. But she knew that the only person who could get Spike out from the dark sea of depression was Rarity herself.
Twilight talked to Rarity about the situation earlier. And Rarity totally understood and agreed to talk to Spike even though she knew it would be hard for both of them, but it had to be done.
Rarity came to the library just in time for breakfast. She didn’t know what she would say and she thought that it would be easier to let the situation manage the conversation. She opened the door of the library and went in to see Twilight just getting down the stairs.
“Rarity,” Twilight said. “It’s really great that you’ve come.”
“It’s nice to see you too Twilight.” Rarity said.
“Would you like to have some breakfast?”
“I would love to. But I would like to talk to Spike first.”
“Do you think you can get him out from the state he is in?”
“I hope so. I know how heartbreaking it is to know that your crush went through a relationship. I’ve been there before.”
“I have faith that you’ll be able to do it.”
“I’ll try my best. Where is he now?”
“He is in the storage room. If you want me I’ll be in the kitchen.”
Rarity nodded, and then she went slowly to the storage room. She stood at the front door and let out a long sigh. She stood silent for a while in a try to fragment her mind. She knows how hard it is to deal with a broken heart especially if she was the reason for its breaking.
She gathered her courage and turned the doorknob. Then she slowly opened the door to see a dark room. She couldn’t see anything inside. That’s when she knew the seriousness of the situation.
“I said I didn’t want to speak with anypony.” A voice called in an angry tone.
“S-spike, is that you?” Rarity said.
“R-r-rarity.”
“Yes Spike, it’s me. I want to talk to you.”
“Please go away. I don’t want you to see me like this.”
“I’m not going anywhere. Please come out Spike.”
“I don’t want to come out.”
“I can’t talk with you without seeing your face.”
A figure of the little dragon slowly came out from the dark. When Rarity saw him she nearly broke in tears. Was she really the reason for the filthy condition that her little friend was in? He was thin, pale, dirty and messy all over. But she kept her nerves and showed a genuine smile for the young dragon.
“Spike,” Rarity said. “Why did you do this to yourself?”
“And why do you care.”
“What do you mean?”
“Didn’t you leave me for Applejack?”
“Oh Spike, I know that it hurt you badly. But you should face the truth. We both know that we couldn’t be together.”
“Is this because I’m not good enough for you?”
“Of course not, you’re sweet, charming and always there for your friends.”
“Then, why?”
“It’s because I can’t be with you and there’s somepony else in love with you.”
“What?”
“Yes Spike, there’s a little filly out there. And she’s head over hooves for you.”
“I don’t believe it.”
“She also wanted me to give you something.”
“Really?”
Rarity then summoned a little piece of folded paper with the writing “To Spike” on it with colorful crayon. Then she handed it to him saying “If you don’t believe me, see for yourself.”
He unfolded the paper and started reading the elegant writing on it. He thought that it was some trick from Rarity to get him out of his misery. But the handwriting looked nothing like Rarity’s. When his eyes started to go over the writing his eyes had gone wide and his mouth started to make a wide smile.
Dearest Spike,
You’re the light of my day and the stars in my night. You’re the knight who defends the dangers and chase away the fears out of my sight. I maybe too shy to say this face to face. But I know that it won’t be long to recognize the loving face.

“So, do you believe me now?” Rarity said with a smile.
“But I don’t know if I’m ready to love again.”
“Spike, you must move on and give this little filly a chance. Who knows, you might find your true love.”
“But who is she?”
“I can’t tell. I promised her.”
“Oh, so this means I have to find her by myself.”
“Yes you do. And I’m sure that you won’t take long to recognize her.”
“Okay, thanks.”
“That’s what friends are for, right?”
“Right.”
“Now go and take a shower. Then go outside and start your journey.”
“I will.”
“But before that.” Twilight said from behind. “I want him to do something for me.”
“What is it Twilight?”
“I want you to send this scroll to Luna now.”
“Sure thing,” Spike said with a smile as he blew his green fire and turned the scroll to smoke. “There you go.”
“Thanks Spike. Now go and take a shower then come to the kitchen to have breakfast.”
“Okay, I’ll go now.” Spike said then he went immediately upstairs for the shower.
“How did you do it?” Twilight said.
“I just showed him the truth, and gave him hope.”
“I hope that you don’t cause him heartbreak.”
“Why do you say that?”
“This secret admirer thing”
“No, it’s completely real. Spike does have a secret admirer.”
“And who is she?”
“I think that you heard me telling him that I promised not to say her name.”
“Not even for me?”
“A promise is a promise Twilight. So, how’s it going between you and Luna?”
“It’s good, even though I haven’t seen her for two weeks. I really miss her but I know that she is a busy mare. And how are things between you and AJ?”
“Things are fine. We’ve been seeing each other twice a week, and every time we try to do something new. Sometimes it gets weird and wild, but it’s always with a great pleasure.”
“Speaking of new things, I want to do something new with Luna. So I asked her if we could go out in a double date with you and AJ.”
“I would certainly love to. And I think that Applejack won’t mind either.”
“Well, I hope that Luna herself doesn’t mind.”
Rarity gave a little giggle on this one. Then she spotted Spike getting down. Now all cleaned up and fresh, he just hopped and gave Rarity a hug.
“Spike,” Rarity said. “What was that for?”
“That’s for giving me a new hope in life.” Spike said, then he let go of her.
“Please don’t mention it.” Rarity said. “And remember that I’ll always be there for you.”
“I know, well I must go now.”
“Won’t you even get something to eat?” Twilight said.
“I’ll grab something from Sugar cube corner. Now let the love quest begin.” He said as he went away from the door. Seeking love and finding his true self.
After that emotional time that she had with Spike, Rarity wanted to go somewhere to relax. And what place could be more relaxing than between the trees, with her beloved Applejack. Also it would be a great opportunity to tell her about the double date that Twilight was planning. She didn't know for sure what AJ’s reaction would be. But she knew that she wouldn’t say no without good reason.
She went into Sweet Apple Acres at about noon. The sun was so hot that Rarity felt like she was melting. When she went through the gate, she found AJ sleeping under a tree. She couldn't help but to stand there for a while admiring the tan mare. She kept her eyes on the beautiful, wet and full-of-sweat coat of the stubborn earth pony with her mane spread on the ground beside her. Making her look as if she was a part of a masterpiece created by the hooves of the most skillful of artists.
Rarity couldn't resist coming closer to her to give her a kiss while she was asleep. But the sudden revealing of the emerald eyes of Applejack surprised her.
“Huh! Rares?” Applejack Said with half closed eyes.
“Applejack,” Rarity said in a surprise. “ I'm so sorry darling. I didn't mean to wake you up.”
“Ah, Don’ worry sugar cube. It was time for me to wake up anyway.” Applejack said while standing. Rarity lent her a hoof.
“What were you doing so close to me anyway?”
“I- ah- I was -ehm,” Rarity said in a stumbling tune.
“You were what?”
“I was trying to give you a kiss while you were asleep. I couldn't help myself. You looked so cute, especially with that layer of sweat covering your coat and mane.”
“Oh come on,” Applejack said with radiant red cheeks. “I’m nothing compared to you.”
“ Don't you dare say that in front of me. If I’m fabulous, which I am of course, then you’re the most beautiful mare in the world.”
Applejack’s cheeks became redder than the ripest apple in her farm. Then she took the other mare in her forelimbs saying. “Oh, come here you.” Then she gave her a deep kiss. Even Rarity was in a kind of shock at the beginning, but she got a hold of herself and returned the kiss. After a while they broke the kiss to breathe. Each mare looked at the other with glowing eyes and red cheeks.
“So, how was your day?” Applejack said as she lied on the grass beside her marefriend.
“It was emotionally exhausting.”
“How so?”
“I went to Twilight’s and talked to Spike.”
“And how was it?”
“Spike was a mess of course. My heart was shattered into pieces when I first saw him because I couldn't believe that I've caused such pain and misery to the young fellow. But you should have seen the look on his face when I gave him the note. It was like he was brought from the death.”
“That’s sweet. But do ya think that your sister and Spike would be good together.”
“I do actually. Spike is a nice guy. And Sweetie Belle likes him alot.”
“But ya should keep an eye on em’. We don't want to deal with early heartbreaks.”
“Of course I’ll do so. After all, I don't want my sister to get hurt.”
Applejack nodded. Then she said, trying to change the subject, “So, are ya free tonight? The Golden mug bar has reopened.”
“Really? I thought it was closed for good.”
“Nah, the owner has come back. So, whatcha think?”
“I would love to go. But there is something else I need to talk to you about.”
“What is it?”
“Twilight wants us to go with her and Luna on a double date.”
“A double date?”
“Yes, so what do you say?”
“ I've never been to a double date before.”
“Oh, come on darling. It’s going to be fun and romantic.”
“Ah guess you're right. So when is it gonna be?”
“I still don't know. She told me that she would tell me when she hears from Luna.”
“Okay, So what about tonight? When do I pick you up?”
“Come and pick me up at 9.”
“That’s great.”
“I must go now darling. I have some dresses to finish before the deadline. See you tonight.” She gave AJ a deep kiss, and then proceeded to leave Sweet Apple Acres.
The next day was fairer than that oven-like heat, which was created by the sun the previous day. The people of Ponyville woke up on the sweet cool summer breeze. The lands were bathing in the warm, pleasant rays of the sun. Thanking Celestia that the roaring fire of the day before was finally over.
The library also had a very cheerful atmosphere. Spike woke up like he wanted to hug each and every citizen in Equestria. And he started with waking up Twilight by giving her a breathtaking hug. Twilight also woke up feeling like a zillion bits. She got up from the bed with swiftly, took a fast shower, went down to the main library room and dropped all the books on the floor and called out a re-shelving day. And Spike was, for the first time ever, more than happy to help.
Twilight was levitating at least twenty books when she was hit by a scroll coming out from Spike’s mouth. The thing that made her drop all the books either on her or Spike’s head. She managed to pull her head out of the book pile and saw a scroll wrapped up on a dark blue ribbon lying on the ground. The moment Twilight saw the scroll she forgot about the pain in her head and ran to the scroll to unwrap it, and started reading it with wide eyes and even a wider grin.
My lovely Twilight,
I'm writing this letter to you and I have two feelings battling inside my heart. One of great pleasure and unbearable joy from the sight of your last letter, and the other of massive grief that I've caused you so much pain of not seeing you for so long. I wish now that I wasn't a princess. But that’s our circumstances and we must cope with it.
As for the request you put in your prior letter. I’m glad to tell you that you've been reading my mind. I wanted to suggest the same thing earlier but you beat me to it. So I was thinking about going to someplace new. I won't tell you where it’s going to be because it’s going to be a great surprise for both you and our two little friends.
I’ll come to pick you up tonight at eight from the Carousel Boutique. The dress code is formal so wear the fanciest and the sexiest dress you have. The same goes for our other two companions as well. I can't wait to see you all tonight.

Twilight finished the letter and stood there motionless for some time. As if she were planning the whole night and visualizing each and every detail about it. Then she just burst out with a great yell of joy and sprinted away from the door of the library. But she was slowed down by Spike calling her.
“What about the rest of the books?”
“Oh, right.”
She used her magic to pile up the rest of the books in a corner in the library and went straight to the Carousel Boutique. She didn’t know why but this time it seemed that the boutique had gotten further than usual. Like the land had expanded just to make her lose more time. Or maybe because she was too thoughtful about the time, it seemed that the time had expanded. Her mind automatically reviewed the theory of relativity and how time and space are two variables and that our state of mind is the thing that controls our judgment on time. The only thing that made her snap out of these scientific thoughts is her head clashing with the walls of her destination.
She lifted herself up with a hoof on her head. Then she started knocking on the door. But no matter how hard she knocked there was no response from the other side. She came to realize that there was no one in the boutique. And that Rarity had spent the night with Applejack doing whatever they do. She was just about to turn away when she saw the two mares heading towards her.
“Hay there, Twilight.” Applejack said in a cheerful mood.
“Hey Applejack, hey Rarity,” Twilight said. “How is your day?”
“Not bad. The weather is good today.”
“Yeah, so where have you been?”
“Oh, we were at the barn.” Rarity said with her cheeks going a little bit pink.
“The barn?” Twilight said, raising her eyebrows and trying not to imagine what they were doing in such a place.
“Well, it was a request from me.” Rarity said. “AJ wanted to spend the night here. But I wanted to try something wild. I guess it was just the liquor talking.”
Twilight just stood with a goofy face for a while. Pictures of the drunken mares started to sneak into her brain. She just shook these thoughts off her head and started. “Anyways, I received a letter from Luna this morning. She says that she is agreeing on the double date thing. And she will come to take us with the royal wagon tonight at eight.”
“Where will she take us?” Applejack said.
“She didn't mention it. She said that she wanted to surprise us. But she gave a hint that it’s a fancy place that we have never been before. And she wants us wear the fanciest and the, ehm, sexiest dresses we possess.”
“So, let me sum this up.” Rarity said. “It’s a fancy place that we've never been to before. So I can presume that it’s in Canterlot.”
“I don't think so.” Twilight said. “ I've been to all the fancy restaurants and I know all the high class clubs and bars in Canterlot.”
“So it’s not in Canterlot,” AJ said. “and of course not anywhere near here. Then where the hay will she take us?”
“I don't know.” Twilight said. “But I'm sure that it will be a mind blowing experience for all of us.”
“So, what are we waiting for?” Rarity said then she went and opened the door of the boutique. “Come in. We have got a lot of work to do.”
The two other mares looked at each other. Then looked at Rarity and gave out a little giggle. Then they went to the boutique.
Luna’s moon came out greeting the lands with its full face appearing, giving a beautiful silver illumination that made the streets look like there were pearls spread all over it. The stars also came up to make the night even more cheerful. It was just another peaceful and wonderful night created by the gamer princess of the night.
But the three mares didn't have time to admire this beautiful night just yet, as they were busy getting ready for this night and that surprise it was holding. Each mare was getting her own dress worn in, putting makeup on, or getting their mane done. But time started to run out of their hooves as they started to finish their preparations to look the best.
It was only five minutes to go and Rarity was still inside her room doing whatever she was doing. The other two were obviously getting impatient.
“Applejack,” Twilight said in a nervous way. “Could you please go up to Rarity’s room and tell her that we have got only five minutes till Luna is here.”
“Ahm sorry sugar cube but I can’t. Rarity gets really mad if someone disturbs her while she is in her room alone.”
“UHHH, but we'll be late. And you know how precise Luna is when it comes to her time.”
“Just be patient. We still have four minutes till Luna is here. I’m sure she will be finished by then.”
Twilight sat down with her eyes fixed on the clock on the wall. She was never used to being late or hurried because the lack of time. She went on, counting the seconds and looking at the stairs every once in a while which made her more and more anxious. Finally, just a minute before the clock struck eight. Rarity was getting down the stairs.
“Finally.” Twilight cried out.
“Rares,” Applejack said. “You look amazing.”
“You look marvelous too sweetheart.” Rarity said, and then she turned to Twilight. I'm so sorry for the delay but I was getting my hair done correctly.”
Rarity has just finished this word when the mares heard the sound of hooves just outside the door of the boutique. Then the door opened and Luna came in.
“Welcome my friends.” Luna said.
“Lulu,” Twilight cried and ran to Luna, who received her with her forelimbs opened and gave her a sweet hug and an even sweeter kiss. When they broke the kiss Twilight started again. “ I'm so glad you're here. I've missed you so much.”
“I missed you greatly too Twily. I’m sorry for taking so long to come and see you.”
“It’s okay darling. The important thing is that we're together now.”
“Awww, how sweet is that.” Rarity said with a smile.
“Oh! Hey Rarity, hey Applejack” Luna said as she broke the embrace with Twilight. “You both look great tonight.”
“Thanks Luna.” Applejack said. “So, where to?”
“Oh, I won't tell you just yet. Come now, we’re wasting fun time here.”
The four mares went outside and into Luna’s royal wagon. And with a sign to the guards the wagon started to fly. In no time they were a long way from Ponyville. But the wagon was heading in the direction opposite to the direction of Canterlot, the thing that confirmed Twilight’s suspicions. But the question now was where the wagon was heading. And despite the attempts from the three mares, especially Twilight, to know the place they were heading to, or even to get a hint about it. Luna was determinate not to tell.
After some time and long quarrels between the three mares the surprise was revealed. And it was truly a mind blowing experience for all of them. The wagon landed inside a city that they only heard about in books or from others who've been there before. Some ponies call it the city of light. Others called it the city of sins. But they all agreed that it was the city that never sleeps. This city was Las Pegasus.
The darkness within the city of lights
The four mares stepped down from the wagon. And they all felt astonished, excited and weird. But they all had this feeling that this night was going to have something in store of them. They went slowly through the streets, feeling the breeze blowing through their manes. Their heads were turning around with amazement from what they’re seeing from the colorfully glowing signs and amazing structures of the casinos and restaurants.
They kept moving throughout the crowd until they reached a restaurant with a French layout. It had a large wooden door with colorful glass vents. The sign was made of neon lights writing the words Nuit d’amour which is French for Love night. They got in to see a place of a high sense of delicacy. Just as they came in a tall stallion with a square chin and black mane came to them. He was wearing a black tuxedo with a handsome tie.
“Hello your highness and ladies. And welcome to Nuit d’amour.” said the stallion.
“Greetings,” Luna said. “Is my reservation ready?”
“Of course your highness,” The stallion said. “Everything is prepared as you’ve ordered. Please, follow me ladies.”
The four mares followed the stallion to a big round table with four red chairs around it. There was golden cloth on the table. Each mare took her place around the table and starting looking at the menus.
“Wow Lulu,” Twilight said. “This place is really fascinating. I would have never expected that.”
“Yes Luna.” Rarity said. “The place is really luxurious.”
“And really expensive,” Applejack whispered to Rarity. “I don’ think I can afford anything from here.”
Luna giggled a bit then she said. “Don’t worry about that Applejack. It’s going to be my treat.”
“Luna that’s so generous.” Rarity said. “But I think it’s way too generous to accept.”
“Oh, look who is talking.” Luna said. “But this isn’t an offer. This is an order to accept this.”
“And what if I refused to accept?” Applejack said.
“Then I’ll consider you as a rebel.” Luna said. Then they all shared a good laugh.
“But I’ve got to say Luna.” Rarity said. “I thought I would find something different here. But it’s no different from any place in Canterlot.”
“This place is different from most places here in LasPegasus.” Luna said. “It has this classy layout so it can attract the aristocratic class members who want to have fun without nopony knowing.”
“So it’s as a place where the aristocrats do things that other aristocrats think as uncope.” Twilight said.
“Exactly.” Luna said.
“But ah don’t see anythin’ suspicious around here.” Applejack said.
“And that’s what makes this place a perfect place for this purpose.” Luna said.
“But sweetie,” Twilight said. “How did you know all of this information?”
“A friend of mine that works in the band here has told me that.” Luna said. “I’ll also get her here to tell you herself.”
“So, may I take your order ladies?” The stallion with the tuxedo came.
“I think I’ll take a tulip plate with grass dressing,” Rarity said. “and a dry martini.”
“I’ll have an apple tart with apple sauce,” Applejack said. “and a mug of strong cider.”
“I want a plate of steamed vegetables,” Twilight said. “And I’ll get a shot of vodka.”
“I’ll get the golden tulips plate and a glass of wine.” Luna said. “And please tell Miss Octavia that I want to see her.”
“Willingly.” Said the unicorn as he took a formal bow and walked away.
“I didn’t know that Octavia Works here.” Rarity said.
“What? You know her?” Luna said.
“Yes, I met her when she was in Ponyville. And we became good friends ever since.”
“Oh yes,” Twilight said. “She came to me with Rarity and took some books from the library about the classic music’s theories and a book about philosophy.”
“Yes, she is very educated. And I really enjoy speaking to her every time I come here.”
“But I must say I was astonished when I knew about her DJ marefriend.” Rarity said. “But after what happened to me I’m not amazed at all.” And she leaned softly on the shoulder of her love who received her with her hoof around her shoulder.
All the mares giggled a little on Rarity’s comment. Then the waiter came with their orders and served them. Then as they went on eating their dinner slowly and quietly, a well-known mare with grey coat came to the group. She put her cello against the wall and approached Luna.
“Your highness,” Octavia said. “I’m pleased that you’ve honored us by your presence.”
“Octavia, my friend,” Luna said. “I’m pleased to see you as well.”
“The pleasure is all mine. Oh, hey Rarity. It has been a while since I last heard from you.”
“Hey Octavia,” Rarity said. “I’m sorry but I’ve been really busy lately. And I also didn’t know that you’ve moved to LasPegasus.”
“I’ve been here only for a month or so. But I’ll be back in Ponyville soon. Oh, Miss Sparkle, It’s great to see you too.”
“Thanks Octavia.” Twilight said.
“And Miss Applejack,” Octavia said. “I’ve heard about you a lot when I was in Ponyville. Your courage has been really remarkable. I’m honored to be introduced personally to you.”
“Ah thanks Octavia.” Applejack said with red cheek. “It’s great to know in person too.”
“Why don’t you have a seat and join us?” Luna said.
“Thank you your highness.” Octavia said as she grabbed a seat and sat with the table.
Luna raised her hoof and called a waiter. The same unicorn came back almost running and said. “How may I serve you your highness?”
“Please,” Luna said. “See what Miss Philharmonica will have.”
“Oh, no need to your highness.”
“I can’t let you sit like that while the rest of us eat. What kind of a princess will that make me?”
“And I simply can’t think about showing your highness in a bad position. I’ll take some rice, crisped hay and a glass of wine.”
“Alright,” The waiter said. “I’ll get them directly.”
“Thanks.” Octavia said to the waiter. Then she turned to her friends. “So, I hope I’m not being obtrusive. But are you here for a business related to Elements of harmony or just a casual hangout.”
“Neither this nor that,” Rarity said “We’re on a romantic rendezvous.”
“So you’re on a double date. But Rarity I didn’t know you had a marefriend. Neither had I known from her highness.”
“Well Octavia,” Luna said “It just wasn’t a proper occasion to mention it.”
“Also there has been a while that Luna and I wanted to make it somehow confidential.” Twilight remarked.
“Oh I see. I congratulate all of you. And Rarity, you were making fun of my relationship, weren’t you?”
“Well that was before I really got assured that love can tie any two beings together regardless the details.”
“That’s true, and most importantly that you’re both happy.”
“We haven’t been happier.” Applejack said.
“I’m really glad to hear that my friends are happy and feeling the love.”
“Thank you Octavia.” Luna said. “How is it going between you and Vinyl?”
“Things are good. She is dropping the base, as she likes to say it, in a club nearby. She’ll have a break in a while and drop by to see me.”
“We hope we’ll be able to see her.” Twilight said.
“Hopefully you will.” Octavia said as the waiter came and served her food. “Thanks.” Octavia said to the waiter and she started eating.
“So Octavia,” Rarity said “we were talking earlier that this place looks like a place that can be suited in Canterlot more than here. But Princess Luna said that this is just a cover for something more. Is that’s true?”
“Yes, what her highness said is true. This fancy restaurant is a mask to attract Canterlot’s aristocrats who wants to have some ‘fun’ privately.”
“And by fun you mean sexual encounter ships and the associate things with it?” Twilight said.
“True, some workers here are hired as fun ponies for some money after their shifts are done. Some also are hired on regular basis. And that involves both mares and stallions.”
“I see,” Rarity said “and did somepony put the offer to be his or her companion for a night.”
“Why do you ask that question?”
“Well, you know so much about the situation. That’s of course aside with your beauty that would make a lot of ponies demand you.”
“As a matter of fact yes, there have been some offers made for me. But I didn’t accept any.”
“And why did you refuse?” Applejack said. “Didn’t they pay you properly?”
“Actually the offers were very generous. But I refused because I feel it’s a disgrace for me to sell myself for the pleasure of others. Also I love Vinyl and I can’t imagine myself in any hooves other than Vinyl’s.”
“That’s some great principles you have Octavia.” Luna said.
“Well, a mare must have her honor to preserve.”
The group went on eating and chatting in various topics. Then a white mare with electric blue mane came and put her forelimbs around Octavia and planted a kiss on the cellist’s cheek.
“How is the best cellist in Equestria doing?” Vinyl said.
“Vinyl,” Octavia said, “I’m fine sweetie. How was your performance?”
“It was cool. The stage was on fire. I must say that it was one of my best shows.”
“That’s nice. But why don’t you say hi to our friends.”
“Oh I’m sorry. I” Vinyl said. Then she froze when she saw Luna. She looked as there’s a grim reaper in front of her. She gathered herself and said. “I’m really, really, really sorry your highness for not greeting you earlier.”
“Calm down Vinyl. It’s okay. It’s like it’s the first time to talk to me. Haven’t we just met yesterday online?”
“Yes your highness. But seeing in real life is different.”
“No need to fear. I’m still the same enthusiastic gamer that you see online, except for the guns and the armor of course.”
“Of course your highness, of course.” Vinyl said as she tried to gather herself. The thing that made her seem even more nervous was the gathered laughter of the rest of the group. Even Vinyl had laughed herself after she got along with the situation.
“So, these are Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Applejack.” Octavia said. “You might’ve seen them before in the news as they’re the bearers of the elements of harmony.”
“Oh, hey everypony. It’s nice to see you all.”
The rest greeted her as well. Then Twilight started. “I remember you. You were the DJ in my brother’s wedding.”
“Oh right. You’re Prince Shining Armor’s little sister, right?”
“Yes I am.”
“It’s really nice to see you again. I really wanted to stick around but I have to go again for my second conduction.”
“But we really want to talk to you more.” Rarity said.
“Well, why don’t you come to the club? We’re gonna have some fun and then we can I hang out after I’m done with the show.”
“That sounds like a nice idea.” Twilight said.
“So come on. What are we waiting for?” Applejack said.
The mares left their places after paying for their meals and followed Vinyl out of the restaurant to a new world. Where they’ll see what the famous verse of “What happens in LasPegasus stays in LasPegasus” really means. Where the real spirit of the city truly reveals itself.

After having such an amusing time in the fancy restaurant, the two couples considered Vinyl’s request and headed to the nightclub she was performing in. They paid the bill and headed out of the restaurant. There was an extinguished view waiting for them.
The sky was really clear at that time of the night. The stars shone brightly, the moon was full, everything was beautiful and extremely prefect. Twilight was taken away from her friends by the outstanding view and kept gazing at some familiar constellations. She continued glancing to the sky and stopped moving. She entirely forgot her friends and the ponies accompanying her and got lost in the magical sight in front of her. But she was drawn back to the earth by a soft touch from Luna on her shoulder and her sweet, soft voice.
“You seem to really like the view tonight.” Luna said with a smile.
“Huh!” Twilight said like she was awakened from a wonderful fantasy. And she turned to her lover. “Yeah, it’s been a while since I saw the sky so clearly.”
“I feel somehow offended.” Luna said playfully. “Like you say I’m not perfecting my task.”
“No, of course not sweetie,” Twilight said in a very apologetic way. “I’ve never meant to say that.”
Luna giggled a bit because off Twilights seriousness. “I was just teasing you a bit darling. You shouldn’t take everything seriously.”
“You shouldn’t do that often as well.”
“Do what?”
“Tease me.”
Luna burst out laughing. And twilight looked really sad by now. “I’m sorry. But you just look so adorable when you’re teased.”
There was a pause of silence between the two lovers. They took the chance to swim in each other’s eyes for a bit. Their eyes widened, sparking softly in the moonbeam. They couldn’t help but to come closer to each other. And eventually they locked their lips in a short, yet very affectionate kiss.
After breaking the kiss Twilight looked to the sky with a sad look in her eyes. She let out a sigh with a depressing tone in it then she started again. “But looking at this sight brought back memories of the days that we used to stargaze together. And it made me realize that we hadn’t done it for a long time. It made me realize that we have been apart for a long time. I’m just-“
“It’s okay Twily, I’m here now right next to you. And I’ll be forever next to you. Even if I get busy sometimes. You’re never absent from my heart and mind. And I told you before that we’ll always be together I can assure you that.”
When Luna felt that Twilight got more relaxed, she eased the embrace a little and looked into Twilight’s eyes. Then she continued. “For now we should enjoy the beautiful night and the fact that we’re right next to each other. We’ll just have fun and let the future resolve this issue.”
“Okay.”
“Daww, that was so romantic.”
The two mares were snapped out of their state by that phrase. They both turned their heads to the source of the sound. And they saw Rarity standing there. She was blushing a little bit from revealing her existence to the couple.
“I’m terribly sorry.” Rarity said. “I really didn’t mean to say that out loud. Please forgive my innocent and stupid interruption.”
“It’s okay Rarity.” Twilight said. “I think that I’m the one who should apologize for keeping you waiting.”
“Oh, it’s not a big deal. Vinyl’s performance won’t start for an hour, so we still have plenty of time.”
“I think we better resume if we don’t want to be late.” Luna said as she started moving along, followed by Twilight, who ran a little to catch up with her and walk beside her. She made sure that she was as close to her as she could get as if she was assuring herself that Luna is really with her and that she wouldn’t disappear.
“Luna.”
“Yes Twilight.”
“Please promise me that you’ll always be with me.”
Luna looked at Twilight in the eyes. And then she said “I promise.” And she said every word with all the emotions she could gather.
“I really love you Luna.”
“And I love you too Twilight.”
The couples kept walking for about fifteen minutes. Then they reached a big, wild looking nightclub. Its sign was formed of big blue neon lamps. The name of the club was “The Electrified Dragon.” There were two big ponies standing on both sides of the big glass gate of the club. Each one was the same size and appearance as the pony called Snowflake.
They opened the gates and stepped into the night club. It was a really energetic atmosphere. Everypony was having fun either on the dance floor or sitting drinking and laughing. The house music was all over the place, adding to the energy of the place with the enthusiastic beats.
They settled themselves down at one of the tables. The place was appealing for Princess Luna and Applejack, but Twilight and Rarity seemed a little down. Twilight tried not to show it so she wouldn’t ruin the cheerful mood again.
“What’s wrong Rares?” Applejack said. “You seem down sugarcube.”
“Oh, nothing darling,” Rarity said as casual as possible. “I’m just not used to such loud music.”
“Well, the music is a little loud.” Luna said. “But it’s something predictable for a place with such energy.”
“I guess that you’re right P- ah.. Luna.” Rarity said with a little hesitation, which made the whole group laugh.
“I- I’m sorry. But I still can’t get used to referring to you with just your bare name.”
“Well, Applejack has been doing this effortlessly.”
“Well, ya said that we’re friends. And ah know that friends don’t have titles between each other.”
“You’re extremely right. I hope that you deliver that idea to your lover.”
That comment made them share a good laugh again. But they were interrupted by the coming of Vinyl.
“Sup guys.” The D.J said in her energetic way.
“Vinyl, hey.” Twilight said.
“I hope you’re enjoying your time.”
“We are having a wonderful time. Thank you for your concern.” Rarity said.
“Well, that’s good, because you’re about to be blown away.”
“Why, is there a bomb in the place?” Rarity said, half panicking.
“In fact there is.” Vinyl said with a creepy tone, trying to scare Rarity more. “There is a bomb of awesome wubs about to get blown.”
“Oh, ehm-“Rarity said with a red face. “Sure, I knew that.”
They all just burst out laughing.
“Ya look so adorable when you’re clumsy.”
“I wasn’t clumsy. I utterly panicked.”
“In a clumsy way.”
They continued laughing until there was an announcement for Vinyl to come on the stage to start her performance.
And before they had the opportunity to thank her properly she was on the stage and started her performance. And she was right, the moment she started her music the dancing floor was set on fire. She was more than amazing. And there were a couple of hip-hop dancing wars between local dancing squads. The atmosphere was, at the least to be said, electrified.
The four mares thought that the best way to show their gratitude for the little gift given to them by the D.J is to take it. But they took it too far. And soon the four mares were on a fast truck going the speed of light towards that place called “as drunk as hell”.
And it was shown in all their behaviors. Starting from the fact that Applejack was doing a seductive dance on the table they were sitting on, which was now full of empty glasses. To the utter incident that Applejack wanted to have sex with Rarity in the middle of the dancing floor. But fortunately there were escorted to outside the club by two guards before they could do anything they would both regret. But that all was children’s play compared to what happened when someone teased the drunken princess of the night.
The misfortunate incident started when a playful drunk stallion went towards the mares’ table and started talking to Twilight.
“A- are you talking to me?” Twilight said, apparently drunk enough to be careless and uncomprehending to the consequences of this chat.
“Yes, how about you join me in my private room? I’ll give you some candy.”
At this point Luna started to act. But of course she was too drunk to act in a decent or a diplomatic way. So she went with the straightest way possible.
“What do you want from her, asshole?” Luna said in a way that would make any sober pony to flee for his life. But of course the only sober individual there was the bartender.
“Back off bitch or I’ll smack you.” The stallion said that with great confidence. But after just seconds he wished that his mouth has been locked with a spell before he could even start saying those words.
Luna lost it because of the insult. The princess of the night started glowing; her eyes became brighter than the brightest spotlight in the club. She grabbed the now shaking to death stallion with her magic. And she levitated a knife and pointed it to his chest. And what made it worse is that she started using her Canterlot royal voice.
“HOW DARE THOU SAY SUCH A FOUL THING TO YOUR PRINCESS? NOW YOU SHALL MEET YOUR END.”
The voice of Luna made Twilight snap out of her condition. She started to act immediately trying to save her lover from committing a crime.
“Luna, please put down the knife, and let’s leave before something bad happens.”
Luna looked to Twilight with a look loaded with a thousand daggers. Her light head allowed the old spirit of evil inside her to take over. Making her forget all the emotion she had except for one, anger. So the next phrase was unexpected to come from the princess to the one that she loved dearly.
“DON’T YOU DARE COMMAND ME YOU STUPID MORTAL. BACK OFF OR I SHALL SQUASH YOU LIKE THE FILTHY BUG YOU ARE.”
Twilight stood there shocked. Unable to believe that the sweet princess she loved could say something so dreadful to her. She knew that she wasn’t herself so she started to slowly approach her and try to calm her down.
“Luna, I’m begging you, don’t do so-“ And before she completed her sentence she was tossed away with a huge smack from the princess’s front limb. The hit was so strong that it made Twilight hit the wall then fell violently on the ground.
Twilight remained on the floor for some time. She wasn’t hurt from the smack or the fall. But she couldn’t imagine that Luna would ever hit her. The mare that protected her in her dreams became her worst living nightmare. She started crying hysterically and ran away from the club.
That sight made the princess become aware of what she had done. She became aware of what was happening to her. Her worst fear had happened. She hurt the mare that she loved most dearly.
“TWIIGHT, WAIT.” She called. She dropped the stallion and the knife and galloped after her marefriend. But it was too late. Twilight was nowhere to be found. She kept running but she didn’t see there was a pole in front of her. She hit her head violently and because of being weakened with the liquor, fainted.
The element of forgiveness
After the fall, Luna got up to her feet and continued running to find her lover. But this time it was stranger. It was like she’d been running for hours nonstop. She was also running in a really dark and long tunnel. No matter how hard she tried to illuminate her way, something seemed to make this light diminish. But after she thought that she would never find Twilight, she found her running not far from her. She started to run after her, but no matter how hard she ran she couldn't catch up with her. No matter how loud she called, Twilight wouldn't even look towards her.
Eventually they got to the end of the endless tunnel. It was so bright that Luna had to cover her eyes to give it the time to adjust to the new level of light. But this was strange, everything was just blank white. She looked down to see there was no solid ground; it looked as if she was standing on thin air. She looked in front of her to find Twilight sitting, severely crying. She ran to her and gave her a delicate touch on her shoulder. Twilight slowly turned to her with tears still in her eyes.
“Twilight.” Luna said softly.
“P-p-please stop. I-I’ll do anything b-but please don’t hurt me.”
“Twilight what are you talking about? It’s me your beloved Luna.”
Twilight slowly got up to her hooves. And pointed towards a mirror standing not far from them and said. “You were, once.”
“NIGHTMARE MOON.” Luna said loudly as her upper body became violently up righted.
She blinked a couple of times. She wasn't in that place anymore. She was in a white room. She heard some beeps by her side. The source was some devices that indicated that she was in a hospital. She was still dazzled from the situation. She felt a soft touch on her right shoulder. She turned to see a tan mare with another white mare by her side. She felt another touch on her left shoulder. But this touch was more familiar. She turned to see the smile of a purple unicorn.
“How are you Luna?” Twilight said with the softest tone she could manage.
“T-twilight, what happened?” Luna said. She was still dazzled. Also she felt a strong headache. She raised her hoof to her head to nurse the position of the pain.
“Calm down darling.” Twilight said, trying to make her lie again on the bed. “You need to rest.”
“But I don’t understand anything. What happened to me?”
“You were knocked unconscious after you came out of the bar.” Rarity said. “And the doctor said that it gave you a concussion. And it seemed that you were under the strong effect of alcohol and that sent you in a coma for the past three days.”
Luna lied silent for a few moments; trying to soak up the information she was just given. Then she looked at Twilight. She couldn’t help herself but to shed some tears. She felt so ashamed and furious at herself. She wanted to say something to her, but every time she thought of something to say she found that it wasn’t good enough.
Twilight noticed the tears forming in the corners of Luna’s eyes. She said to her with a very concerned look. “Luna, are you okay?”
That’s when Luna couldn’t help herself but to cry. She seemed like she wanted to talk but her crying was keeping her from it. This made Twilight look even more worried. She tried to say something but Luna started to speak.
“I-I’m really, really sorry Twilight. Please, I didn’t know what happened to me. I’ve been horrible to you. But please for-“
She was stopped by a hug from Twilight, who started to brush her mane slowly. She was tearing a little but succeeded to hide her tears from Luna and to maintain the calm tone of her voice. “Calm down, it’s okay. We’ll talk about that later. Now you need to have some rest. I promise we’ll talk about it later.”
Luna calmed down and tightened her fore limbs around Twilight. Twilight responded by burying her face in Luna’s chest. They both loved each other no doubt about that. But at that night a new fear grew in one of them, and an old fear returned for the other. But as much unforgettable as it was, it must be put aside, at least for now.
They kept this position for a long time. They felt like the whole world faded and the only existence was them and their bodies. It was a perfect moment, too perfect to be completed. They were rudely interrupted by the entrance of the doctor.
“Ehm, sorry for my interruption your highness.” The doctor said with a very business-like tone.
The two mares broke their embrace and looked around to see almost every nurse in the hospital looking at them and whispering to each other. Needless to say Twilight and Luna’s faces became so red that you could mistake it for the real color of their coats. Twilight quickly stepped away from Luna and stood by the bed.
“Not at all doctor.” Luna said, trying to look as casual as possible. “We were just, ehm, discussing some important issues. That’s okay Twilight, we’ll continue later.”
“Huh?” Twilight said, apparently taking a while to catch up with Luna’s lie. “Oh, of course your highness, allow me to leave. I’ll come back later to see how your highness is doing and finish our discussion.”
“That would be wonderful. I shall wait for your return.”
Twilight said nothing more. But gave a graceful bow and left the room with a pace between walking and running.
The two mares gave the princess a graceful bow and left to catch up with Twilight. They saw her at the door of the hospital. When the three mares saw each other, they burst out laughing.
“Well, that was a good escape.” Rarity said in the middle of laughter.
“It sure was sugar cube.” Applejack said.
“Haha, yeah. Well, I don’t know about you too. But I’m starving.” Twilight said.
“We certainly are. After all we missed lunch.” Rarity said. “Same place as yesterday?”
“We don’t know any other.” Applejack said.
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go.” Twilight said as she sped towards the restaurant.
After the mares finished their meal, they headed up straight to the hospital. They had shared small talks all the time in an attempt to ease up Twilight’s grumpy mood, but as thoughtful as she was for their attempts most of the time. She was thinking about how to deal with that situation. She was beaten by her lover. But Luna wasn’t herself at the time. What if this happened again? Luna sincerely apologized, that’s true. But will she feel safe again with Luna after that?
She was debating with herself. She had the scientific suspicion asking questions to guarantee safety. And her heart was answering these questions. But none of the answers were sufficient. None was logical enough to satisfy her mind. So, she came up with the solution that Luna should be the one to answer these questions. Yes she still loved her. But after what happened, it’s really hard to find an element of forgiveness.
When they reached the hospital, Luna was asleep. They talked to the doctor and he said that Luna was stable enough to leave the hospital tomorrow morning. She only needed some rest, and she had already got all the rest she needed, so there’s no fear of any dangers whatsoever. So all they had to do is to wait for her to get up and they’ll be back to Ponyville. And there, Twilight will fulfill all her suspicions. And she decided to go directly for it.
The next morning they all got up early. Luna packed up in no time and, after filling out some forms and papers, they were ready to leave the hospital.
The royal carriage was waiting for them outside the hospital. They all got in and they started getting back to Ponyville. The trip was very quiet from the beginning to the end. All the noise to be heard was the flapping of the wings of the four pegasi flying the carriage. They can’t be blamed for such quietness as each one of them was drowning in his own thoughts. Twilight was thinking of how to talk to Luna on this topic. Luna was searching of a way to make up for the unforgivable mistake that she did to Twilight. And the other two mares were just soaking up the sun and enjoying the view.
Rarity and Applejack were dropped off at Sweet Apple Acres. The pegasi stopped at the library to drop off Twilight. At the door, each mare stood in front of the other with thousand words to say. But neither of them had enough courage to speak. Two hearts were filled, one with shame, the other with doubt and fear. After about ten minutes of this motionless standing, Luna turned to the carriage to leave.
“Luna, please wait.” Twilight said in a sad, but serious tone. “I really need to talk to you. Can you please come inside?”
Luna nodded and stepped inside the library. They both sat in front of each other, waiting to see what the next moments would hold for them. As much as Luna was eager to speak, she couldn’t find the right words to describe the regret that she felt. So she thought she would let Twilight go first, and that’s what was done.
“So, how do you feel now?” Twilight said.
“I’m fine Twilight.”
“That’s good.”
“So, what did you want to talk to me about?”
“Well, I- I want to know what happened that night.”
“I can’t really tell myself. All I felt at that moment was the feel of anger and then. It’s- It’s like my mind went blank and my body was moving on its own.”
“So, you say that you lost control of your body?”
“Y- Yes, that’s the nearest thing I can describe it with.”
“I see.”
That’s when Luna started tearing. Then she said with a mid-crying voice. “I- I know that what I did was horrible. And that you think that I’m the worst mare in the world. But please Twilight, forgive me.”
That’s when Twilight began to cry too. She had a flood of emotions in her heart. She was feeling fear, anger, empathy and love all at once.
“But how can I?” Twilight said, really crying at that moment. “Even if I did forgive you, how can I feel safe around you anymore?”
Luna stood blank at the response. The only thing moving in her body were the tears streaming from her eyes. Twilight was right; how could she feel safe again after what happened? She felt somehow frustrated. But she knew that she was right.
Twilight realized what happened. She stretched her hoof to touch Luna’s face. “L-Luna, I’m sorry. I’ve been carried away.”
When Twilight’s hoof touched Luna’s face, Luna moved her face away. “No, Twilight. You’re right. I’ve had the most precious treasure in my hoof. And I pushed it away with my foulness. You deserve better Twilight.”
“But I want you Luna. I still love you.”
“But what will guarantee that I won’t turn like that again? I’ll go away to save you from me.”
“Luna, please no. Do you want to kill me?”
“K-Kill you?”
“Yes, when you take my soul from me you’ll kill me. And you’re my soul Luna.”
“Your soul almost killed you.”
“No, it wasn’t my soul. It was a wicked spirit. I sensed it.”
“Y-You don’t mean?”
“We can’t be sure. But there might be some remains that can come to the surface in the weak states of mind.”
“B-but I’ll still be a danger.”
That’s when Twilight threw herself on Luna and caught her in a deep kiss. Luna was caught off guard but when she realized what was going on, it was too late, as Twilight had already broken the kiss. She then looked deep in the eyes of Luna. “And we’ll deal with this danger together.”
They then had another passionate kiss. And after they parted their lips they kept their body close in a very soft embrace. They may have fears, they may have problems, but that what gives life its joyful meaning, and they both learned a valuable lesson. That is whenever the element of love exists, it must be alongside the element of forgiveness.
As they were like this, there was knocking on the door of the library. When Twilight answered, she found Derpy with a package from Princess Celestia. In it was a little spell book. But at the end was an uncompleted spell. Well, I guess that you know the rest of the story.
As known, Twilight got a package from Princess Celestia. She found a little notebook that had an unfinished spell at the end written by Starswirl the Bearded. She casted the spell unintentionally, changed the destinies of her friends, fixed everything back, became an alicorn and got crowned as a princess of Equestria. However, this wasn't the whole story.
After the coronation, Twilight spent some time with her family. She hasn't seen them in a while and it was a great opportunity to let them know her marefriend more. She has told her parents about her relationship with Luna a while ago but she really didn't have the opportunity to discuss it with them in detail.
They were all sitting together in the royal dining room. Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, Princess Twilight, Prince Shining Armor and Mr. Sparkle and Mrs. Twilight Velvet. They were all sitting together, enjoying a nice dinner after the eventful day.
Everypony was busy with digging into the plate of fine pastries in front of them, when Mrs. Twilight Velvet suddenly said with a hint of pride. “Oh, who would've known that one day both our kids would be members of the royal family?”
“It wasn't that much of a surprise for me.” Luna said playfully after noticing a blush on Twilight’s cheeks. “For Twilight was a princess her whole life. She only needed the wings and she got them.”
“Oh, please honey.” Twilight said, still blushing. “You’re embarrassing me.”
This comment earned a nice laugh from the whole pack. Then there was a small silence when only the cracking of the forks and knives against the plates was the only audible sound. Then again Mrs. Twilight Velvet was the one to break the silence.
“So, Princess Luna.”
“Please madam Twilight Velvet. There’s no need to call me with my title. We’re family after all.”
“That’s true. So, I just wanted to ask how everything is going between you and Twilight so far.”
“Well, we've had some problems. But we managed to overcome them and get back on track.” Luna said with a soft glance to Twilight.
“Don’t worry mom.” Twilight said. “Luna and I are more than fine together. And I hope we’ll stay like that for a long time.”
“Ahuh, But don’t you think that you too should take the relationship to the next level.”
“MUM.” Twilight burst out, which earned another round of laugh from the rest of the family members.
“What? I’m just speaking what’s on my mind. But the choice is yours of course.”
“Mrs. Velvet.” Celestia said after taking the hint from the expressions of the two mares. “I think that they’ll be able to make the right decision. Also, it’s better to let everything run its course.”
“You’re right your highness.” Mrs. Velvet said.
The rest of the night was just small talks about different topics. Mostly Twilight’s researches about the Crystal Empire’s history and, of course, her newly found duties as a princess. But Luna was thoughtful and off guard most of the time.
What Twilight Velvet said was still echoing in her head. She had a point; Twilight and Luna have been in together for almost a year now. That’s the longest relation that Luna had ever been. But she wanted it to go for more time. And the new fact of Twilight becoming an alicorn will help this dream come true. But this small talk made Luna realize that she has never given a real deep thought about the future of this relationship. Were they ready for this kind of commitment? She did love Twilight, and she had some fancies of them marrying. But to actually take this step was really something to think about.
She didn't sleep that night. The thought was consuming her. She didn't know why she was so afraid of the thought. Maybe because of the last events that happened. Or was it the fact of being into a long committed relationship that scared her. But she was in a committed relationship for a year and she has never felt happier in her life.
At that time, Luna held the door of her room open, and Celestia came in with a genuine smile on her face. She climbed on the bed beside her and put a hoof on her sister’s shoulder.
“You look so thoughtful tonight my dear sister.” Celestia said in a sweet manner. She may be a troll and have some bad habits. But when necessary, she turns on to her mother mode in a jiffy, “Is it something you want to talk about?”
Luna let out a deep sigh and said with a voice that was so soft that it may resemble that of Fluttershy more than the gamer princess. “Tia, am I a foul pony?”
Celestia was taken aback by the question. But she knew her sister and she knew how her mind operated very well. She collected herself back and said in the most mother like tone. “Of course you’re not. You’re a genial mare.”
“Then why am I so afraid?”
“Are Twilight Velvet’s words still bothering you?”
“Yes, but I’m not annoyed by them. I’m more annoyed by my thoughts.”
“Then speak your mind Luna. Maybe it can guide you to the answer.”
“The whole situation is new to me. I mean, I had a lot of fantasies about me and Twilight getting married. We even joked about it multiple times when we were together. But the moment that the topic came to real grounds. I felt as scared as a little filly standing in front of a timberwolf in the middle of the Everfree forest.”
“I think your fear is because of the situation being brand new to you. You’ve never been in a relationship for that long. And you and Twilight seem so dedicated to one another.”
“It’s not just that. Also what happened in LasPegasus won’t be easily forgotten. I’m afraid of being irresponsible enough to do anything stupid.”
“I don’t know about that. But I know that you were responsible enough to co-rule a huge kingdom and even to rule me when I get off my limits. Also you know that you have a very responsible partner that will be always by your side.”
“I guess you’ve got a point Tia.” Luna said and then she stood up with a look of determination on her face. “I was planning to do this since I knew that Twilight would become a princess. And me being a coward would be just humiliating for both myself and my beloved Twilight.” Then she gave her sister a tight hug. “Thank you Tia.”
“Don’t mention it.” Celestia said after she broke from her sister’s forelimbs. She stood up and turned to the door and before she reached it she turned quickly to her sister. “See, you made me almost forget something of great importance.”
“What is it?” Luna said with a look of curiosity. This look turned to a look of attention as Celestia used her magic to summon a small box which was coated in a fabric as if it was cut from the skies of the clearest summer night and decorated by hundreds of glimmering stars. Celestia slowly opened the lid of the box to reveal a ring firmly settling on what can be seen to be a small cloud of white lace.
What’s really indescribable was the ring itself. It had a gemstone that is unidentified to pony kind. It was so gorgeous that Rarity would faint a thousand times from the first sight of this olive sized gemstone. It was so glamorous that Spike would slay thousands of his own kind just to get a taste of it. It was clear, it was pure, it was white, it was black, and it was rainbow colored. You can’t really say how it was cut to be a masterpiece like that. The body of the ring was made of pure gold. It was shaped like two dragons embracing the masterpiece. There was also tiny and elegant carving on the inner side of the ring which was carved in the ancient language of the Crystal Empire.
“W-what is this?” Luna said with a look of massive astonishment from what’s in front of her.
“It’s a wedding ring.” Celestia said after she turned the troll mode on. But her little joke wasn’t received with the desired ‘no shit Sherlock’ look from Luna. Which Celestia finds so entertaining and rather cute. So she got upset and turned back to her matter of fact mode and said in a serious tone. “But this is not an ordinary wedding ring. This ring was possessed by our mother. It’s carved by the most powerful of monks of the Crystal Empire. This masterpiece is one of the very few remaining pieces which were enchanted by the long lost magic of love in its raw form, which is even more powerful than the love magic Cadence now possesses. It’s called The Bond of The Gods.”
“It’s beautiful.” Luna said, still focused on the ring which was like no other in the universe.
“It is my dear sister. It was our parents will for the ring to be given to whoever gets the decision of marrying first. I guess you earned it sister.”
Celestia closed the little box and have it to Luna who took it in her magic. Once Luna took hold of it, she sensed a great power inside it. It was the same feeling she gets when she is with Twilight or when she’s even thinking about her. But this time, this feeling was multiplied a thousand times.
“But be careful sister.” Celestia said with a little smile. “For that in the moment you put this ring on Twilight’s horn. A bond will be formed between you. A bond that is so strong that your souls will be united. You’ll feel what each other feels, sense fears of each other and will be together wherever you go, present with each other by soul if not by body.”
Luna slowly looked up to her sister. She had a smile of bravery. Her eyes were full of confidence, like that of a brave warrior that can take down the strongest of armies to finish his quest. Then she said in a low, yet strong voice. “Don’t worry my sister. I already made my choice to take this promise of commitment, and I’m not ready to turn back now. Also this bond you speak of will make my commitment a lot easier. For now we’ll understand each other even better than what we already do.”
“I see you made your choice then. Good luck.”
“Thank you, for I need all of it tomorrow.”
The next morning was a normal day. All the guests had left the palace to their homes. Princess Twilight was really busy with Princess Celestia in the discussions of the royal duties of Twilight as a princess. The only encounter that happened between Twilight and Luna was on lunch. It was just a short apology from Twilight to Luna about what her mother said that night. Luna in turn just dismissed the thought cheerfully and told Twilight to come to her room to spend the night with her, an invitation that Twilight accepted with great joy.
This busy atmosphere that surrounded the entire palace was just perfect for Luna to prepare her ‘greatest proposal ever’ plan. She spent the entire day changing the whole decor of her room to make it more close to the fanciest restaurant in Canterlot. She also got out her best and hottest dress she had and put it on. She erased any evidence of her gamer self and carefully piled it under her bed. She spent the rest of the day in front of the mirror, a thing that she had never done before, she actually despised the mares that did that. But today was a special day of course.
When the time came for her to raise the moon, she spent about an hour and a half preparing the night sky, which is, by the way, a really long time. She even made a new constellation, but she hid it from sight for further purpose. Just as she finished her preparation, Twilight was knocking at the door. She was as precise as always. Luna opened the door and Twilight was standing with her wings upright. She was in Luna favorite dress, but it was slightly different. Twilight changed it with a golden strip on the waist and the tips of the sleeves. It was a simple adjustment, but it really made the dress glow more. It made Twilight glow more. It was really a pleasant sight.
“Good evening my sweet love.” Luna said in a soft voice. “How are you doing tonight?”
“Hey Lulu, wow, you look really stunning tonight.”
“You also look more beautiful than the moon in this wonderful night.” Luna said as she gave Twilight a quick kiss.
“Ooooh, thank you, but I must say. You did a fabulous job with the skies today. It’s the most beautiful night sky I've ever seen.”
“I just wanted to see if I still have these abilities of creativity. I guess that my mind didn't rust completely.”
Twilight let out a heartily giggle from the comment. Then she gave a long gaze to the night sky.
“So, Princess Twilight, How was your first royal day?”
“It was good, but really exhausting. I had enough formality and etiquette sessions for my whole life. The political sessions were really exciting though.”
“Thou art fairly different from us our dear princess.”
“Oh puh-lease, I've really had enough with old Equine. I only used it in reading old books on rare occasions. I've never thought I would've been forced to speak with it.”
“Don’t worry you’ll get used to it. But did Celestia tell you anything about your authorities?”
“She said something about being in charge of the scientific researches all over Equestria, also to be the supervisor on the royal university.”
“Wow, everything you love in a one package.”
“But it’s a great responsibility. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it perfectly.”
“I have faith in you. You’re a responsible mare and you can do anything. I’m sure of it.”
“Thank you Luna. But I’ll need you with me.”
Luna wrapped her in a soft embrace and said in a soft tone. “I’ll never leave your side.”
“I’m sure of it Lulu.”
They broke apart. At this moment Luna chose to make her move. She pointed to the sky and said to Twilight. “I made a new constellation and I want you to give me your opinion.” Then she used her magic to reveal her constellation. It was more of a phrase written by stars that sparkled in the middle of the clear night sky. The phrase was simple, it was “Twilight, You’re the only mare that captured my heart. Would you accept to be my partner in this life forever? Bonded together by the sacred bond of marriage?
Twilight was stunned by the sudden proposal. Her face was deep cute red. She kept staring at the stars for a while. When she turned to Luna she found her on her knees, holding out the graceful ring in its night sky box. Twilight looked at Luna and at the ring for a while. She was stunned and thoughtful, but speechless. She kept like that for a while, looking at the nervous-as-hay Luna.
Each and every minute that Twilight spent with Luna came back to her as a really fast and beautiful movie. She remembered the first time that Luna had confessed to her. At that time she took a decision that she has never taken before, a decision that had changed her life totally, but definitely to the best. That decision was to put her mind a side and let her heart take control. At this moment she took the risk, and she was willing to take it again at that time.
Suddenly she threw herself on Luna and gave her a very deep and affectionate kiss. Her heart had already taken the decision. She parted from Luna and said. “Yes, yesyesyesyesyesyesyes.”
Luna wrapped her tightly for another deep kiss. They've just made a life changing decision. But they were determinate to take it, as if it was an unspoken fact that their relationship would reach this stage sooner or later. But it was something to look for and they took their time. They just kept together, looking at the night sky, waiting for the dawn of a completely new chapter in their life. An interesting and amazing one.
Revelation
Celestia’s sun was raised and spread its golden rays onto the beautiful lands of Equestria, signaling the beginning of a new day. The rays came through the small crack between the dark blue curtains of the Princess of the night, and slowly cast themselves on the closed eye lids of the small purple alicorn. She lazily opened up her eyelids to look at the smiling face of her sleeping fiancée. She kept there, enjoying the moment, looking closely at her beloved princess, feeling her warm soft breath on her chest. This beautiful, lazy moment made her remember last night. She is now a member of the royal family. She will soon be the wife of a member of the royal family.
She started analyzing this thought. She knows very well that she had already agreed to marry Luna. She agreed to be bonded to her with a sacred, unbreakable bond forever. She loved the thought, but she was afraid as well. Her fear was with the responsibilities that were associated with this bond. She had committed herself to it, but on second thought, she thought that this could be the best thing that had ever happened to her. She loved Luna with all her heart, and if Luna was determined enough to take this step and put herself to this kind of commitment, then she would also do her best to do the same.
Her thoughts were cut when the two eyelids in front of her were opened; revealing the two big cyan eyes that she always got lost in. The two eyes kept staring into her eyes. Then a wide smile was formed on the face of the owner of these eyes. She then got closer to Twilight and planted a quick kiss on her lips.
“Good morning my little Sparky.” Luna said with a half sleeping, half singing voice.
“Good morning Lulu.” Twilight said with a little smile. “Did you sleep well?”
“Well, you were so good yesterday. I couldn't manage but to sleep like a little filly.”
This comment made Twilight’s cheeks turn deep red. She gave a little giggle and said. “Well, I’m happy that I pleased you. But the credit must go for you being an awesome teacher.”
Both of them shared a good laugh together. Then they got up and went to take a nice, warm and long shower together.
After a short time they went downstairs to the royal dining room as accustomed. Princess Celestia was already sitting on the table digging into the plate full of baked goods in front of her. The mares walked over and sat beside each other as always.
“Good morning, Princess.” Twilight said.
“Good morning, Twilight.” Celestia said. “But I think we agreed that you call me Celestia. After all, you’re a princess now, which makes you a part of the family.”
“Or you can call her Tia as I do.” Luna said playfully, a comment which earned a giggle from both mares.
“Sorry Celestia.” Twilight said, a little blushing. “But it’s hard to stop calling you without your title just like that. My tongue still feels foreign calling you by your bare name.”
“But you managed to do so easily with Luna.” Celestia said, pouting playfully.
Twilight giggled a little and said. “You know it was different with Luna. She was my friend, even before we became together. But you’ve always been my mentor. I sometimes felt that you’re like a second mother of mine.”
Celestia shed some tears after hearing these words. She came from her seat and moved to Twilight. Then she wrapped her forelimbs around her in a soft embrace. Then she parted from her, looked her in the eye and said. “You've always been the source of my pride Twilight. You've never been just my student. And if you think of me as your sister, then I would be honored to call you my sibling. And if you think of me as your mother, then I wouldn't be more proud of my little daughter.”
They wrapped their forelimbs around each other again. Luna was there watching and smiling greatly from this beautiful sight. She felt great warmth in her body; she felt that she was really a part of a family. Then she wrapped her forelimbs around the two other mares. Who took her in their hooves and shared a warm and pleasant group hug for a moment. Then each mare turned back to her seat.
“Now that was emotional.” Luna said with a smile.
“It was indeed.” Celestia said.
There was a mere moment of silence, which the mares took the advantage of to fulfill their desire for food. Celestia was the first one to break the silence.
“So, Luna.” Celestia said.
“Mmhm.” Luna replied with her mouth full.
“How did it go yesterday?”
“Well, let’s just say that Twilight just gained another reason for her to be related to the royal family.”
“Well, I congratulate both of you. I wouldn't be happier.”
“Thanks Celestia.” Twilight said. “But how did you know?”
“Luna told me about it the day of your coronation. The wedding ring she presented to you was from me, passed from our mother.”
Twilight’s eyes widened. Then she said. “The ring I put on my horn last night. W-was it the bond of the gods?”
Luna looked strangely at her fiancée, and then said. “Yes, it was. But how did you know about it?”
“It was one of the crafts that I had studied to know more about the limits of the ancient Crystal Empire’s love magic. I only saw parchments talking about it. I think I was so caught in the moment last night I didn't really notice.”
“Well then, now it will be yours to experience its true powers.” Celestia said with a smile.
“You know Twily,” Luna said. “when I got hold of it with my magic the night before. I felt something that I’ve never felt before. It’s like the feelings I have towards you, but multiplied many, many times.”
“That’s because, as I read, it boosts the love feelings for whoever wears, or magically touches it. It also makes them feel the love that the other pony feels for them in addition to their own love.”
“Wow, I didn't know that you had that much love for me.”
“Oh, really? So you had doubts about me loving you more than you loving me?”
“Twily, I think we had this sorted out months ago. We both love each other more than each other.”
Celestia raised an eyebrow and said in a confused tone. “What is that supposed to mean?”
The other two mares giggled at the confused Celestia, which made her even more confused.
“Care to explain to her Twily?” Luna said playfully.
“Why should I always be the one who does the explaining?”
“Because you’re better at explaining sweetie.” Luna said with a smile.
“Okay, you beat me again with your sweet smile. Well, Celestia, the statement that you’ve heard is like a theory that we came up with to fulfill an argument we were having on who loves the other more. We kept arguing about it for a long time. Until we discovered that our love for each other is infinite. So we came with this statement to symbolize the infinity of our love.”
This explanation made Celestia even more confused. But she chose to drop the topic down because she knew that she would go nowhere with it anyway. Then each of the mares started digging in their plates again.
After breakfast was done, Twilight followed Celestia to another day of sessions about her royal duties. So it was up to Luna to run the court for the day. But she couldn't be on full concentration in the sessions. She was always thinking about Twilight. Their future life together and how they’ll handle it. Especially after the recent event that happened to them. She wasn’t sure if it would happen again, and if it did, would Twilight be able to handle it? She had to reveal her fears to her lover. But it must wait for another time to come.
After dinner, Twilight and Luna went together for a walk in the royal gardens. It was a fine night, the moon was bright, cool breath was blowing in the branches of the trees making them dance lazily. The two mares kept walking in silence for a while. It was fears they wanted to talk about, and it was fear that, made them silent.
After a while, Twlilght looked at Luna’s face. She was looking up in the sky. She had a look that Twilight knew well, a look of worrying and unease. Whenever Luna had that look, Twilight knew that there’s something that Luna wanted to talk about but was afraid to. She extended her forelimb to Luna’s cheek and slowly pulled her face to face hers.
“What’s the matter dear?” Twilight said in the sweetest tone she could manage. “You seem so lost in thought.”
“It’s….. It’s just something that happened today in court. Don’t worry about it.”
“Luna,” Twilight said in a serious, but still sweet tone. “I know you well, it’s something about us isn't it?”
Luna let out a deep sigh, signaling that she wasn’t going to lie to Twilight anymore, and then said with a smile. “You know me so well Twily. I should keep that in mind.”
Twilight let out a giggle, more to lighten up the mood than actually being amused by the comment. Then she said softly. “Yes darling, so speak your mind, please. I don’t like to see you like that.”
“I was thinking today about the decision we took together. It’s a whole new life Twilight, and I fear that I might do you unkind.”
“I know, I know, but what happened in LasPegasus never left my mind. It’s like a dark ghost following me everywhere and I can’t flee from it.”
“I told you before; it was just remains of a broken spirit. It’s not like you’ll turn back into Nightmare Moon.”
“How can you be sure?”
Twilight stood in front of Luna and looked deeply into her eyes. Then she said. “Because you have something you didn't have back then. You have love, you have me.”
“That what makes me fear the most.”
“No, that’s what should make you be certain that what happened back then won’t happen again, because love is always stronger than hatred.”
“But you-“Luna was then cut off by Twilight’s hoof covering her mouth.
“Don’t you worry about me. As long as we’re together, there’s nothing we need to fear.”
“I’m so glad that I have you by my side.”
Luna then planted a kiss on Twilight’s lips. Then they wrapped their forelimbs together, looking at the moon. The wind billowed into the branches of the trees behind them, making a sweet, soft melody to their ears. It’s a new life, a new start, a new phase in their lives, and they’re going there with their heads up high.

Hey guys, I want to say that this chapter is going to be my last chapter for a while. I'll be away for a long time due to my academic preparations and my senior year of highschool.
When Magic Is Embraced By The Night
Two weeks had passed since Luna proposed to Twilight. Twilight spent most of her time since then either preparing for the wedding or learning and going about her royal duties. Even with her hooves full, however, she couldn't help but wonder about the new life she's heading towards. She's now a princess and she is going to be a wife in less than a week.
She was happy for this turn of events. However, as happy as she was, she was terrified with the duties that came with it. Also, she was always worried about not being able to keep up with her duties towards Equestria and her newfound duties towards her wife. But she thought it would be better to leave it be, for now at least.
Luna wasn't any less busy than her love, if not busier. She was the one overseeing the whole wedding preparation process. She had to personally make sure that everything went according to the schedule. She couldn't leave anything to chances, she always thought. Everything has to be perfect for her Little Sparky. Not to mention having her royal duties to carry, raising the moon and running the night court.
Every time she looked at her wedding ring her heart couldn't help but beat strongly. She was happy, the happiest she had ever been. She was also the most nervous she had ever been. Her nervousness wasn't without a reason, though. She still couldn't shake the events of LasPegasus from her mind. How could she ever forget that she hit her beloved Twilight like that? What if she went into that state again in the future? Twilight said it was instantaneous and it was nothing to worry about. But she couldn't help but to think that the possibility is still there. And just the slightest thought of it made her stomach turn over.
Twilight had just finished her diplomatic affairs session with Princess Celestia. It was an easy topic to go over. Todays session was about the alliances that Equestria made with the nations in the region and the country's diplomatic status. So, they were able to finish earlier than usual. Princess Celestia found this a great opportunity to have a little chat with Twilight.
"So, how are the preparations going?" Celestia Said, "I know that both you and Luna have worked so hard on them."
"Oh, they're fine Prin- I mean Celestia." Twilight said, blushing slightly from her mistake. " Luna is reviewing every single detail, and that makes me kinda relieved. I'm very happy that the girls are coming tomorrow to help us. They'll take loads of work off our shoulders."
"It is very kind of them to come and help. Though I'm curious about why you didn't ask them earlier."
"I just didn't want to bother them. They all have their own problems. But Planning the wedding was very tiring, more tiring that I imagined."
"It is indeed." Celestia said with a little chuckle.
"What is it Celestia?" Twilight said, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, it's nothing." Celesta said, raising a hoof dismissively. "Anyway, how are you taking the whole marriage situation?"
Twilight let out a nervous sigh and said. "I won't lie to you. I'm really, really nervous and shocked about it. Don't get me wrong, I love Luna and being her wife is the best thing that ever happened to me. It all just happened too fast."
"Well, at least you're taking it better than Luna."
"What do you mean?" Twilight said in a worrying tone.
"She told me about what happened in that bar in Las Pegasus. "
"But I told her that it was an instantaneous state, it was really nothing to worry about."
"I know, she told me that as well. However, she is still afraid that this instantaneous state will return back. Also, I can't say that she's not worried about the duties of marriage."
"Well, that's the thing that worries me the most. I always ask myself if I'd ever be able to do my duties towards both Equestria and Luna."
"I'm sure that you too will be happy together." Celestia said, putting a reassuring hoof on her sister in law's shoulders. "you two love each other and that's enough to make you go through anything that steps in your way."
"I really hope so." Twilight said with a gentle smile.
"Tell you what." Celestia said with a grin. "Why don't you spend the night with Luna tonight? I'll cancel tonight's sessions and will hold the night court for Luna so she could be completely free tonight, just for you."
"That's very sweet of you Celestia, but wouldn't it be too exhausting for you?"
"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. You fillies just go and have fun."
"Thanks Celestia."Twilight said, hugging Celestia. "You're the best."
"Don't thank me." Celestia said, breaking the embrace. "Now go get ready for tonight."
"Okay." Twilight said after leaving in a hurry. Tonight is going to be quite eventful.
It has been since the proposal that the two lovebirds were able to spend a relaxing night together. As soon as Luna finished raising the moon. She prepared herself for the night with her fiancé. There were a lot of things to talk about. But she only wanted to stay with her for a night as it was before. She just wanted to relax with her and nothing more. But she knew that it would be inveitable for her to talk with Twilight about her worries. She really hoped that this night would sooth off her aching mind, even if it was for just a little bit. Her trail of thoughts was cut off by a knock on her door. She opened it to find the beautiful smile of the lavender alicorn greeting her.
"Hey Lulu." Twilight said in a cheerful tune.
"Hello my Little Sparky." Luna said, leaning over her and giving her a gentle kiss. "How was your day?"
"The usual, had some studying to do after my sessions with Celestia. Then I went to double check the preparations before coming to you."
"You really want to make sure that everything goes without a hitch, don't you?"
"You know me." Twilight said with a little giggle. "But I've got to say that you did as amazing job with the preparations."
"Thanks sweetie. It's really nice coming from you. We also need to thank the girls for coming and helping us tomorrow."
"Yes, I'm sure they will be a great help for both of us."
"They will indeed."
The two mares sat beside each other in the balcony with their wings wrapped around each other. They held each other close, so close that you might think that they're a single, inseparable entity. They shared a moment of silence, both trying to enjoy the warmth of their bodies and the wonderful night. They also wanted to get their heads straight for what to come.
Twilight was the one to break the silence. She said in a gentle tune. "I can't believe we're getting married in a week."
"Me neither." Luna said, looking at the mare. "It's like it was only yesterday when I first confessed to you. Remember that day, Twily?"
"How can I forget? It was two years ago, right here in the gardens." Twilight said, pointing at the gadens of the palace. "I must say, I was so shocked I wasn't able to move a muscle for about half an hour."
"It's nothing compared to my nervousness." Luna said with a chuckle. "I spent the night before just thinking about what to say to you."
"Well, you didn't say much as I recall." Twilight said, teasing.
"I was going to." Luna said, pouting playfully. "But when I stood in front of you my brain just, shut down." Luna said with a laugh.
"Heheh, yeah, it tends to do that."
"I guess you're right."
Another heavy blanket of silence fell over the two lovers. They were both waiting for the other to point out the elephant in the room. It wasn't easy for either of them. So, Twilight went straight for it.
"So, Lulu." Twilight said.
"Yes, darling."
"Are you worried about, you know, our marriage?"
"Who, me?" Luna said playfully.
"Yes you."
"Well, of course I am." Luna said, deciding to let it all out. "In fact, I'm terrified."
"Can't say any less here." Twilight said with a sigh. "I don't know if I'll ever be able to fulfill my duties as a wife."
"I wouldn't worry about that. You're a responsible mare. If anyone should be afraid about not playing her role in this marriage, it should be me."
"Why are you saying that?"
"Because I'm reckless, Twilight. I always do silly things. I was corrupted by evil and I let my emotions let the best of me sometimes."
"You're still talking about what happened in Las Pegasus, aren't you?"
"I can never take it out of my mind." Luna said, lowering her head. "I'm always afraid that I would hurt you again, get back into this dark, disgusting state in the future."
Luna started sobbing, she tried to form words but her crying stopped her from sounding coherent. Twilight could pick some words like "Sorry" and "afraid". Twilight now understood how terrified Luna was. She also knew she had to ease her aching heart somehow. So, she let her heart do the work instead of her mind.
"There, there." Twilight said, running her hoof in her mane in an attempt to comfort her.
"I'm so terrified, Twilight." Luna said in a mid-cry.
"Well, I'm not. You know why?"
"Why?"
"Because I love you. I'll be there for you. And you love me. Your love will always be bigger than your hatred."
"You, really think so?" Luna said while she was drying her tears.
"I know so. I also know that you're a strong mare, that you'll conquer whatever fear or darkness that would ever arouse in your heart."
"Will you promise me one thing then, Twilight?" Luna said, Looking into Twilight's eyes.
"I'll promise you anything Luna." Twilight said with a gentle, yet confident tone.
"Promise me to stay forever beside me and catch me whenever I fall."
"I promise Luna. I promise."
"I also have a promise to make to you too."
"What is that?"
"I promise you to never let anything, myself included, hurt you." Luna said as she planted a soft kiss on the mare's forehead.
Twilight then leaned on Luna, gently closing her eyes and saying. "I'm so lucky to have you by my side Lulu."
Luna looked at twilight, just the sight of her made a gentle smile form on her face. Then she said. "I'm luckier my love."
They then spent the night together, relaxing, enjoying the sky and feeling no worries whatsoever. They are heading towards a new life. They're terrified, sure. But they both knew that they have each other, that they need each other. With this, nothing could never stop them from having their happily ever after.

This is the first of the two chapters I intend to wrap up this story with. Yeah, I intend to end this story to work on another big project that I'll announce soon. I also wanted to say that I thank you all for your support. You've been great readers and a huge motive to keep going.
Between the apple and the gem
"they say a relationship requires compatibility," Rarity said to herself as she was looking with a glittering eye and a smiling face to her future wife. "well, I guess they should come and see the two of us."
The couple was on the way to Canterlot with the rest of the group after they got Twilight's letter. The main reason was to help and support their friend in this life changing step. However, nopony knew till now about the great surprise Rarity and Applejack had prepared to reveal when they arrive to the palace. Rarity herself didn't completely believe that she made that step in her life, especially with a mare like Applejack.
She looked outside at the scenery outside of the train's window and sighed. She remembered the moments of this relationship. Rarity thought about these moments a little. They went through the best of times and hardest of times. Applejacks smiling face and words of support were with here every step of the way, especially in the darkest moments. Rarity thought how blessed she truly was to have a mare like Applejack in her life. She know that Applejack is a mare responsible enough to share a life with. But Rarity was truly concerned. When she went through these moments again she found out that she always was the needy one. Rarity was afraid that she wouldn't make the material of a good wife. She was afraid that she would stay the weak and needy side in this relationship. She didn't want that. She wanted to be an equal part of this relationship. More for Applejack's sake than hers
The train finished its three hours journey and reached the royal palace. Unsurprisingly the entire palace was fully decorated and each and every pony in the royal staff was working as hard as possible for the glorious wedding. Twilight and Luna weren't waiting for them at the door of the palace. So the girls were lead to the great hall where Celestia was waiting for them as well as Cadence and Shining Armor.
The girls took a short bow in front of the Princess, then they rose to the smiling face of The Goddess of The Sun. They became accustomed with dealing with royalty, especially when Twilight became one herself. Also the princesses considered the mares as friends of the royal family, so most of the known formalities that existed before weren't needed to be performed hence forth.
"Welcome, all of you." Celestia said, "I'm really glad that you are here."
"How can we decline the help of Twilight in her wedding day?" Rarity said.
"But where's Twilight?" Rainbow Dash said. "I don't want to sound cheesy, but I miss that egghead."
"Yes, all of us can't wait to see her." Fluttershy said.
"She's in the royal gardens with Princess Luna." celestia said, "They're, obviously, supervising the preparations of the wedding personally."
"But don't worry girls." Cadence said, "She knows you're here and she will be with you soon enough. She misses you as much as you miss her, maybe even more."
Applejack and Rarity looked at each other sincerely. This was the moment of truth. They're trully nervous, but they have to tell the rest of the girls what they had planned sooner or later. And there was no better occasion than this. They were nervous as they really didn't know how they would react to the news, but they knew for sure that their friends will never object to their happiness. After all, they supported them as well as Twilight and Luna from the beginning.
It didn't take much time for the brides to enter the hall and meet the girls. especially Twilight who was waiting on pins and needles to see her best friends. Luna also wanted to see this group of mares that she considered, not only as her friends, but as her saviors from the depth of darkness she was in.
After the warm welcoming that the princesses gave the mares, they went to the royal gardens once more to discuss the wedding details. Needless to say, a lot of the work was already done. But Twilight wanted her friends and bride's maids to be with her every step of the way. So, a lot of work was still ahead.
"I've really missed you guys, and I'm so happy that you're here." Twilight said to her friends.
"We have missed you greatly as well darling." Rarity said. "How are you faring?"
"I'm quite nervous." Twilight said. "This is supposed to be the greatest night of my life and I'll panic if something wrong happened."
"I can relate to that." Luna said in a joking manner. "I actually have to always be near her to keep here from having one of her episodes."
This joke made the group laugh and made Twilight pout a little. However, she got used to the way the princess of the night jokes so she didn't take it all seriously.
"How can we not come to help our dear friend?" Fluttershy said.
"Yeah, even though I'm not really into all this marriage stuff," Rainbow Dash said. "but I'll make your wedding as awesome as possible, granted."
All this time, Rarity and Applejack were looking at each other. It was like they were trying to telepathically agree on a moment to reveal what surprise they have to their friends. It wasn't easy to choose the right time to do so, as they didn't want it to come as a cheesy joke. So, they agreed that this might be the best chance to say what they have to say. After all, the entire group is here and it would be best to say it before they get to work on the wedding.
"A-actually guys." Applejack said after getting an agreement nod from her fiancé. "This ain't the only reason we are here for."
The rest of the group fixed their eyes on the blonde mare and the fashonista. Then Twilight said. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well," Rarity said. "There is another reason for our presence here. It's actually a little piece of news Applejack and I have for you. Isn't that right, darling?"
"Y-yeah," Applejack said. "And we thought it'd be best if y'all were here so we can share it."
"Come on, tell us already." Pinkie said in an over dramatic way. "The suspense is killing me."
"Alright, but can you please calm down Pinkie." Rarity said. "It's that, Applejack had, ehm, proposed to me."
"Really!" Twilight said with an astonished and gleeful look.
"Yep, that's right." Applejack said
"When did that happen?" Pinkie said.
"The day we got Twilight's letter." Applejack replied.
"I remember that now," Fluttershy said. "You were acting a little strange when you heard about the news."
"Yeah, sorry about that." Applejack said while she was scratching the back of her head. "I was deep in thought about the situation. I actually was a bit taken aback by the news."
"But that doesn't matter now, does it?" Rarity said.
"Of course it doesn't," Twilight said. "What matters is that you're are also engaged now. Oh! I just had the best idea. Why don't we have a double wedding?"
"A double wedding?" Applejack said, rather surprised.
"Well," Rarity said. "It is a very generous offer, Twilight. But it is rather sudden don't you think?"
"I think it's a great idea." Pinkie said. "Two weddings in one. That means twice the fun and twice the joy."
"But what 'bout the preparations?" Applejack said. "We'll need to make more food and stuff, right?"
"Don't worry about this at all." Luna said with her usual smile. "I don't think it would be much of a problem. We will just make some adjustments and it will be fine."
"But what about our roles as bridesmaids?" Rarity said, trying to persuade Twilight of her idea. "This is supposed to be your day. We can't take a part of the spotlight from you."
"It will never be really our day without sharing it with the people we love." Twilight said with a gentle smile.
"Don't try to persuade us off it." Luna said putting a hoof over Rarity's shoulder. "We have made our decision, a double wedding it is."
"Well," Applejack said. "We can't deny a request from two princesses."
Rarity let out a sigh. She thought about it objectively and found nothing wrong with it. "Alright, if it won't bother you. I will do it."
"Alright," Rainbow dash said enthusiastically. "What are we waiting for? Let's get going."
"You're right Rainbow Dash." Luna said. "But you must be tired form the journey. So why don't you go and rest in you rooms and we will start tomorrow morning."
All the girls retreated to their rooms to rest up before the big day tomorrow. Rarity and Applejack were given one of the royal suites as they became two of the brides of the double royal wedding. It was a surprise for both of them. Yes, they agreed to get married, but they never thought it would be so soon. And there's no turning back now after they agreed to the offer of the two princesses.
This led the couple to the continuous thought of the new life ahead of them. They thought about it before, but now they should take it more seriously. The new date of the wedding obliged them to have the big talk about their new life as life partners. But each one wanted the other to start. Also each one was trying to find the right words to begin this conversation with. The more fluent mare and the more concerned one thought it would be better to start one of the most important talks in any relationship.
"So," Rarity started with a quiet and steady tone. "We are here."
"Yep," Applejack said. "We are here."
"It's strange, isn't it? The offer Twilight gave us, to have a double wedding, and become wed at the same time."
"A little. We'd marry sooner or later anyway."
"But it came too soon, don't you think?"
"A little ah guess. Are you scared?"
"No, well yes, just a little."
"Haha, it's okay." Applejack said as she put a hoof on her fiancée's shoulder. "It's a scary change ah know."
"Yes it is. And I'm glad that I'm doing this with you."
"Same here babe, same here."
The two sat in silence enjoying each other's presence for a moment. But that small talk made Rarity's concern peak even more. Even now, she is the needy part and Applejack is supporting her. She knew very well that Applejack doesn't mind in the slightest. However, this made Rarity even more worried. She was afraid that Applejack would get fed up with her over time. Also, she wanted to be an effective part in this relation, she wanted to help. These thoughts filled her head and emotions bottled in her heart so much that she thought she might explode. So she made her mind to address this issue with her partner as they used to with any issue they faced. This was one of the traits that made their relation as healthy as it is.
"AJ," Rarity started, trying to keep her emotions at check not to explode. "Am I a needy mare?"
"Needy?" Applejack said strangely. "Needy how?"
"You know, as in whiny and always wanting and not giving as much as I take."
"Why would say that Rare? You're the element o' generosity. Of course you give more than you take."
"I don't mean materialistic AJ. I mean emotionally. Am I an active part in this relationship?"
"Of course you are. Rare," Applejack said an stared at her love's eyes. "Each one of us has a role in this relationship. You're better at thinkin' and I'm better at doin' things."
"But I always feel like I need your support and always complain about this and that. So, I-I" Rarity couldn't complete her sentence as she started to choke on her sobs.
Applejack took her in her embrace and tying to sooth her by gently stroking the long purple, silk-like hair of the gem in her arms. She knew what Rarity wanted to say. She thought about that exact thought more than once through their relationship. But she reached her resolution a long time ago concerning this issue. And this resolution is exactly what Rarity want to hear right now.
"Rare." Applejack whispered in Rarity's ears as a gentle breeze.
"Y-yes." Rarity said, trying to regain her composure.
"I can't live without you."
"W-what?" Rarity said, astonished.
"Ah said Ah can't live without you Rarity. You've given me a lot more than you think. You gave me hope, laughter, wisdom in the dark times. But the biggest thin' you gave me was yer love."
"Really AJ?" Rarity said with a smile on her face and teary eyes.
"Hey, Ah'm the element of honesty. Ah ain't gonna say this if ah didn't mean it from the bottom of mah heart."
At this Rarity's heart was at the point of saturation with a single emotion. She was floating in the ocean of pure love. These words of the mare in front of her made her feel the amount of love she bares of her, and how much she bare to the apple. She threw herself at Applejack's lips to lock hers in a kiss that she hopes that will do the work of words to convey the amount of love she had for her love.
Applejack was taken aback by the sudden kiss. But she felt a different sensation when she gave in the kiss. She felt the emotion of total love and pure bliss that was radiating from Rarity's tongue and was reaching her. She wanted to stay like this forever and ever. But they had to break the kiss to gasp for air. After that they didn't say a word. They felt that there was nothing more to be said, that just laying in bed embracing each other would say what's in their hearts better than a million love poem. They were meant for each other, and they will keep being together till the bitter end.

Well, here it is everybody. I's good to be back to my fic. I know that it's been a while but I wasn't really ready to write. I was taking the final exams of my senior year, then waiting for the results and applying for college. So I'm in a middle of a mess. But I'm back and I'll continue to write. So, sorry that I kept you waiting and I hope you enjoy my comeback.
And this is how they met
The two weeks following the arrival of the Elements of Harmony were busy and full of chores. Even the brides had to work to finish the preparations on time especially after the additional ponies that were invited to celebrate the marriage of Applejack and Rarity. The news of this marriage came as a mild shock to their relatives, especially the Apples who were a little unaware of the strength of the relationship between her and rarity. Nevertheless, they happily accepted the choice of the two mares and came to share with the brides, their joy.
This, however, came with extra work on the mares in charge of the ceremony. Rarity, who had to make four wedding gowns instead of two. Applejack had to make tons of extra food to prepare of the possible coming of the entire apple family. Pinkie also had to print and send more invitation and prepare places for the new guests to come. Even though, this didn't prevent the mares from feeling the joy of working together once more and to feel happy for the brides.
Finally, the day had come. As predicted, not a single member of the royal family was absent from the event. Rarity's parents were there. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were fully represented by the four members. The Prince of the Crystal Empire was there as well with Twilight's parents of course. Needless to say the entire nobility of Equestria was present with the members of the royal family. All in all, it was scene to behold.
As for the states of the four brides, it was a mixture of unbearable happiness and anxiety that couldn't be stomached. After all, this was the moment of truth. This was the point of no return, the moment where their lives would change, forever.
Behind the curtains stood the four mares in their matching white gowns watching the scene in silence. They started looking at each other for a moment, and then Applejack said. "Ah didn' expect for all of 'em to come."
"Yeah," replied Rarity. "Your family does have a remarkable presence."
"Ya don' have the right to complain. This is gonna be your family too, ya know."
"Yes I do know that. And I'm happy for it."
"Your family does look vast Applejack." Luna said with a calm tone. "Don't you think so Twilight?"
"U-huh." Twilight said hesitantly.
"Twilight," Luna said, looking worryingly at Twilight. "What's the matter?"
"N-nothing." Twilight replied with a shaking sound. "I'm fine."
"You're nervous, aren't you?"
"I feel that I could throw up any moment." Twilight said in a worrying voice.
"It's okay darling." Luna said, putting a hoof on Twilight's shoulder and pulling her slightly to her side. "I'm here with you, so be strong for me."
"A- aren't you nervous??"
"I've fought many furious battles before and haven't been nervous like this." Luna said, and then she looked in twilight's eyes and continued. "That's why I want you to be strong for me."
Twilight then smiled to her lover, took a deep breath and said. "Alright, let's do this together."
Luna then smiled and said. "Yes, together."
Applejack then looked at Rarity and said. "Together?"
Rarity then kissed her forehead and said. "Forever, my darling."
"Then it's settled." Luna said with a confident voice. "Let's get out there and make this a day to remember."
"Alright." The other three mares said in an enthusiastic tone.
With this said, the three mares went out at the end of the aisle that was paved with ponies and rose petals. The scene was like that of a beautiful dream. The first pair to walk down the aisle was the two alicorns. They walked steadily and tall, both looking with the corners of their eyes at the massive crowd of people who came to congratulate them. After what seemed to be years, even if it was actually mere minutes, the pair was standing in front of the princess of the sun.
"Ladies and gentlecolts," Celestia said with a steady voice, looking at the two mares. "We are gathered here to unite these two ponies with the sacred bond of marriage. So, without further ado, Princess Twilight of Equestria."
"Yes, your highness." Replied Twilight.
"Do you agree to take Princess Luna of Equestria as your partner for life?"
"I- I do." Twilight said with red cheeks.
"Good, then, Princess Luna of Equestria."
"Yes." Luna replied.
"Do you accept Princess Twilight of Equestria to be your partner for life, to protect and support her through the worst as well as the best of times?"
"I do." Luna said, full of confidence.
"Then, by the authority I have as the ruler of Equestria and the Princess of the Sun. I announce you, Princess Twilight of Equestria, and you, Princess Luna of Equestria, mare and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Princess Celestia said before adding in a whisper to the two. "I'm really proud of both of you."
Luna then looked at twilight with a face full of love, then into her eyes which were full of joy and embarrassment. Then she said "Congratulations, my princess." Then they kissed, Twilight was taken aback a little by the kiss but she merged into it soon after. It
Then there was the pair of an elegant, beautiful unicorn and a graceful and proud earth pony. They walked so close to each other that it might be thought that they were supporting each other. Then, they reached the end of the aisle in front of the Sun Princess, who announced them as mare and wife with similar words to those of Twilight and Luna. The only change in the scene was the thunderous cheer that filled the room from the apple family when Applejack and Rarity kissed.
After that there was a party that has never been thrown before. Fluttershy sang more beautiful than any bird could ever sing. Rainbow Dash did neither one, nor two, but three consecutive Sonic Rainbooms, a stunt that she kept practicing on just for the wedding. Pinkie Pie was also able to amaze everypony with a massive, six story wedding cake. Each story was telling a stage of the love stories of these four mares.
The present day (25 years later)
So, this is the greatest love story in the Equine history. I must say gathering the material for this piece of writing was not that hard as most of it was taken from the real heroines of our story. The hard part was actually to find the appropriate words to describe the story as it was told to me by the princesses.
Actually, what I told you so far was not the end of a story but rather the beginning of it. A story that resulted in the most loved regime that ever ruled Equestria, and it was because these new rulers were raised knowing the true power of the magic of friendship, and the magic of love.
How do I know that? Because I am the ruler I was talking about. Let me introduce you to myself, that's of course if you're not an Equine. My name is King Twinkle Sparkle of Equestria, son of Princess Twilight of Equestria and Princess Luna of Equestria, the male alicorn of the millennium, King of thunder and night sky. But most ponies like to call me, The Magic Child.
I was given this nickname for a very obvious reason, and that is I was actually born by magic. It's an interesting story actually that became later a common knowledge for most of the ponies. But I will tell you briefly this amazing story.
Five years after my parents' marriage, Twilight started to have the desire of having kids. When she talked to Luna about it Luna said that they could always turn to adoption. However, Twilight refused because she wanted a kid to have both hers and Luna's blood. Luna of course said that this was impossible to happen. Twilight, nevertheless, didn't give up. She started searching for a spell that could form a zygote by DNA fusion and no fertilization needed. However, there was no luck.
After a year of constant researches Twilight came to an ancient scroll. She found it in one of the ruins of the old temples of the Crystal Empire. It was talking about raw magic and that it was the source of birth of the entire pony race. When Twilight asked the two regal sisters about it, they said this was the first time they knew their information as it was tens of thousands of years before the formation of Equestria.
This scroll held an interesting fact. That if a pony was strong enough to extract its magical source into a raw, materialistic form, it can carry the information of said pony and behave accordingly. Which means that, with a strong enough magical medium, the magical forces could form physical entities and mate, forming a strong and magically powerful meanings. Afterwards this was proven to be the source of the alicorn existence.
My parents described this as a very tiring process. But the hardest part was the extraction of magic as it was nearly lethal even to an alicorn. With both Celestia and Cadence providing the magical medium the two forces, both Twilight and Luna, could mate and the zygote was transferred into Twilight's womb to complete its development. And thus, I was born as the first male alicorn in ten thousand years since my grandfather.
This came to a big expense to the four princesses. The process required a lot of magic that it took off a part of their souls, reducing their life spans. Also, due to the same reason, this process could only be performed once and that's why I had no siblings. Moreover the details of the process weren't shared with the public because if it was performed by any other pony it would kill them.
That's all, now if you excuse me. I've got some royal matters to attend to. But if I am to say some last words, I'd tell you never to underestimate the power of love. For love can do miracles. I'd even say that love is a miracle by itself. I didn't believe this myself until I tasted love and was bounded by its bonds. Also, love yourselves and love each other. Because if you are able to love and be loved, nothing else in the world matters.

Now that's the end of this project folks. It was amazing writing this novel and I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing. Now I'll take a little break after starting on my new project. However I won't be as active as usual due to me starting college. It was an ordinary morning at our beloved, lively town of Ponyville. Where, as the song says, everything is certainly fine. Exactly, nothing was out of the ordinary. Fluttershy was in her cottage with her animals. Pinkie Pie was in Sugarcube Corner making another batch of her delightful cupcakes. Rainbow Dash was in the skies flying in every direction with the ordinary super speed she tends to fly with every time she was to do a new stunt. Applejack was in Sweet Apple Acres doing her normal chores.
Rarity, well, Rarity started her day normally. She woke up, went for a shower, had the ordinary 2 hour mane styling session, checked her mail, found a scroll with a very well known lavender ribbon to wrap it. She got really excited when she saw the message. After all, they haven't heard of their beloved friend since the coronation. She un-wrapped the scroll, started reading, eager to know the latest news. When she finished reading, though, her eyes shot wide open, a wide grin formed on her face and she hurried off to find her friends.
Half an hour later, the five friends were sitting together in Sugarcube Corner. They were all sitting, staring at the mare that called them all on such a short notice. She was so persistent that they should be all present that she had to get, a little off her lady nature, to get some of them to come.
“I’m so, so sorry for the fiasco I made to gather all of you here.” Rarity said, trying to be as professional as possible. "But I believe that there's some news from our friend Twilight that you should know."
She then revealed the scroll she received from Twilight, and started reading what was written in it.
My dearest friends,
How are you all doing? I can’t believe I haven’t seen you for an entire month. You don’t know how much I miss you all. How is everypony in Ponyville? And how is the library? Is it in the same, good condition as I left it? And who’s running it? I want to come back to see it and see all of you!
Huh, Luna says hi to all of you and is telling me to get straight to the topic. You know how I am when it comes to talking about books. So, anyway, I’m sending you this as an invitation and a request. The invitation is for a wedding that will be commenced in two weeks here in Canterlot. The request is that I want you to be the bridesmaids. As for the couple who’s getting married they’re their highnesses Princess Luna of Equestria and Princess Twilight of Equestria.
Yes, I’m getting married. Can you believe it? We still can’t believe it ourselves. Luna and I have been preparing for the wedding for a week now. In only two weeks we’ll be Mare and Wife. Naturally, who’s better to be there with me on this occasion, other than the five of you?
So, I’m waiting to see you in two days here at the palace. The Elements of Harmony carriage on the Canterlot Express has been reserved for you for the day. And trust me, we’ve got a lot of work to do, and a lot of catching up as well. Don’t be late girls, I’m counting on you.

Ps: When Rarity receives this letter. Make sure to isolate her by any means from other mares. I don’t want to see the news writing about it two weeks in advance.
“WHAT? Twilight is getting married?” Pinkie said in a mid-panicking way.
“That’s great news. I’m really, really happy for her.” Fluttershy said.
“Wow, I thought that this egghead will never find somepony to love," Rainbow Dash said. "not to mention get married to. I gotta say she surpassed my expectations.”
“Well, she did surprise us all by this letter. When I received the letter and first read it I thought she was joking. But I can’t really believe she wrote something as harsh as making you put me in solitary confinement.”
“Let’s face it Rarity,” Rainbow Dash said. “Whenever you hear something new, you’re like a gossiping time bomb.”
“I am not. My tongue is though, sometimes.”
The friends started laughing together. However, Applejack didn't share the laugh. She just sat there, staring at them quietly. She was really lost in though. The only one who seemed to notice it was Rarity.
“Applejack, what’s wrong, dear? You seem sad about the news.”
“Huh,” Applejack said as she snapped from her condition. “Nah, it’s not that. Of course ahm happy fer Twilight. It’s just- err- ah have a ton of chores to do so ah gotta leave. See ya later girls.”
“Wait! What about the preparation for our leaving?”
“We’ll start it tomorrow. Ah’ll come to the boutique and we’ll prepare for everything.”
“Okay, dear.” Rarity said as she gave Applejack a quick kiss. “Don’t push yourself too hard, okay.”
“Ah’ll try not to.” Applejack said as she walked away from the rest of the girls.
“What’s wrong with her?” Rainbow Dash said. “I thought she would be the most excited one.”
“I honestly don’t have the slightest clue.” Rarity said. “But I’m sure she’s happy for Twilight. But I better go check on her later.”
As she went back to the orchard, Applejack’s thought kept wondering about the same thought for a lot of time, over and over again. How did Twilight have the courage to make this kind of commitment before her? She always was certain that she was to be the first mare to marry in the group. Twilight’s marriage news came as a shock for her. She kept thinking why she couldn’t take that same decision sooner. What was keeping her from it? She loved Rarity and she was so certain of it. So, why didn’t she make this decision before? And most importantly, why is she so upset about the idea of Twilight getting married before her?
Her trail of thoughts was cut by the entrance of her little sister.
“Ahm back.” Applebloom said in a very depressed tone.
“Hey there Applebloom, how was- Oh! What is it sugarcube?”
“It’s nothin’.”
“Come on, ya know ya can tell me. Did somethin’ happen at school?”
“No.”
“Then what is it?”
“It’s Sweetie Belle and Spike.”
“What did they do to make you so upset?”
“Their relationship takes a lot of their time, and now most of the time, Sweetie Belle doesn’t come to our Crusader’s meetings because she has a date with Spike or somethin’.”
“So that’s what really makes you upset?”
“Yeah, it’s like she’s getting away from us.”
“Did you talk to her about it?”
“No, I didn’t.”
“And why didn’t ya?”
“Because, ahm-”
“Because what?”
“Because I’m jealous of her, okay.”
“You’re jealous of her?” Applejack said, but this time in a confused tone.
“Yes, Ah just can’t understand how she could have a coltfriend before me. Ah mean, ahm older.”
Applejack was lost for words for some time. She was looking at her little sister having the same problem she had. Why wouldn’t she accept the simple fact? The answer was so obvious but she was so blind by her pride to see it. She just had to accept it because it happened to be that way. Simply that Twilight and Luna came to this realization sooner. Also, she made another resolution, and she was determined to take action as soon as she could.
“Well, Applebloom. These things can’t be rushed, you know. You just need to wait for the perfect colt for you. Or, do you have somepony in mind?”
"Who, me?"
"Yes, you're old enough fer that. And your face says it all."
“Well, you got me.” Applebloom said, blushing slightly. "There’s this colt in school that is really awesome, and I’m kinda into him.”
“Then go and talk to him. But ya gotta introduce him to us before ya two start anythin’ serious.”
“Ah sure will.” Applebloom said enthusiastically, and then she hugged her sister. “Thanks sis.”
“No problem, now go upstairs and start doin’ yer homework.”
“Alright.” Applebloom said as she ran to her room upstairs.
Applejack just stared at her as she got up, thinking how fast foals grow. Now, with that sorted out, she sent to get prepared for one of the most important moments in her and her marefriend's futures. She was ready to do it as soon as possible. Now, where did she put that ring Granny Smith gave to her?
The next day she was to meet Rarity at the boutique. She went to her as soon as she finished her morning chores. She didn’t tell anypony about her plans. She wasn’t hundred percent sure if her plan would work. She hadn’t talked about the topic of marriage with Rarity before. But she felt this genuine feeling that Rarity would like for their relationship to get to the next level.
Her thoughts made the trip to the boutique seem to take mere seconds. Before she knew it she was in front of the door that separated her from the moment of truth. This was it, the moment she opens these doors there’s no turning back. Or else she would hate herself forever.
“Well, no time fer chickening out now.” She said as she took a deep breath and opened the door. “How is the best fashionista in Equestria?”
“Oh, hey Honey.” Rarity said as she gave Applejack a sweet, deep kiss. “Come in, we have a lot of work to do.”
“Yeah, well, before that sugarcube. There's something I wanted to talk to you about.”
“What is it darling? Is it about yesterday?”
“Yeah, well, kinda. Ah was just thinking about the whole marriage thing.”
“Yeah, it is a bit scary. But it’s also wonderful that these two had the courage to do something as that.”
"Yeah, they are." Applejack said, avoiding eye contact with Rarity.
"Darling, you're worrying me." Rarity said, putting a hoof on her love's cheek. "Please tell me."
“Well, I just wanted to know. What do you think of marriage?”
“Well, it’s a great responsibility. However, if the two love each other, I think they will go through it and everything will be fine.”
“If they love each other, like us?”
“Yes, like- Oh Applejack, are you implying?”
Applejack took that as her cue. She kneeled on her hind limbs and pulled out the diamond ring. Rarity, on the other side, was in complete shock.
“Rares, we’ve been together for more than two years now. We’ve been through a lot and gone through good, bad and crazy times. Well, heh, ya know ahm not good at this fancy shmancy talking so I’ll be straight. Rarity, would you like to be my partner forever and marry this old fool of a mare?”
Rarity’s tears streamed on her cheeks, the proposal was sudden and unexpected. But here it was, the mare of her dreams asking her hoof in marriage. She was paralyzed for a moment before she got herself together and threw herself on the mare giving her a deep hug.
"Well, sorry for the lousy proposal Rare. Ah know you were looking for somethin' more fancy."
Rarity giggled, she took her mare's cheek in her hoof and planted a gentle kiss on her lips. Then she said "As long as it comes from you, I don't care how it was."
"Well, Ahm glad you feel that way. Cuz you know you've just made a decision that will change your life forever."
"I know AJ, and I don't regret it a bit. For I know that, as long as I have you by my side. Nothing can make me feel fear."
"And Ah'll stay beside ya, protectin' ya from anythin' that can hurt ya. Now, don' we have some preparations do to?"
"I think that preparations can wait. I just want to stay in your embrace for a little longer."
"You got it sugarcube."
"I love you AJ."
"Love ya too, Rare."
The mares then kept silent in their embrace for a long time on the floor of the boutique, thinking how lucky they were that they had each other. The both were willing to take this risk and to take their new life as it comes.

I don't know, but thought that I had to rewrite the chapter, give it a little more depth. Also, there's two more chapters I'll be working on and will be ready soon. I know it has been a while. But school is really giving me no time al all.
