A bright flash of lighting shined through the stained window illuminating the long empty hallway, as the loud crack of thunder followed. There stood two figures in the darkness silently talking to one another. “Sister it’s raining” said the smaller one as another bright flash came in, “I know that, it’s been raining for three days” said the taller one. “No, Tia, it’s raining on the moon too”, Tia looked down upon the small black pony “Luna, are you sure?” Luna nodded.

“Could this mean Discord is back?” Luna asked in fear, “No, not at all, Derpy accidently shattered him as she was delivering him back to the royal gardens.” Just then a bolt of lightning shattered a stained window as it struck right in front of the two sisters; the thunder was so strong that it shook the ground causing the sisters to fall to their knees. Soon as the coast was clear the two sisters stood up and proceeded to where the bolt had struck.
Both their eyes flew wide open to the discovery that they had made. For on the ground was a small foal sleeping peacefully.

“T-t-the rain has stopped Tia” Luna said looking outside from the shattered window, “I think we just found our brother, Luna” Tia claimed. “Impossible, he was destroyed when the Crystal Empire fell”, “Plus he is supposed to be older and have a cutie mark” she explained nudging the small body.

Just then the small foal woke up and stretched its small wings. He had a black pelt with black and red hair, and his wings were red and black too, along with his horn. He looked at the two sisters towering over him and gave a big yawn. Tia kneeled down do him and looked him straight in the eyes. Not moments later he spoke “Ce-Ce-Celestia Luna, why are you so tall?” he squeaked, “Long story Eli” Celestia said. “The night is still young” Luna proclaimed, with that he wobbled to his small hooves and started to pace. He was not even three feet tall and was the size of a plushy to the two sisters whom towered over him. He stopped and looked at Celestia “What happened to me?”

They all went to Celestia’s bedroom and layed down Luna on her bed and Celestia on hers. Eli tried climbing up Celestia’s bed but was too short, so he started to flap with wings as hard as he could but ended up with his face on the ground. Celestia chuckled and levitated him next to her. “Thanks Tia” he said. Celestia wrapped her wing around the small foal and pushed him close to her side. “Now what do you remember about your life?” she asked. “All I can remember is king Sombra shooting me and I fly all the way to space and then it went black” he said trembling.

“Well I must tell all of Equestria of the arrival of our long lost brother” Luna said hopping to her hooves. “How is my sister cadence?” he asked ignoring Luna’s remark. “She is uh… umm” Celestia stuttered “Married” Luna said. His eyes grew and became fixed on Luna like a marksman, “Married, she is married?!” he yelled as he jumped to his hooves. A bright flash of lightning lit up the sky and thunder rumbled after. “Yes she was married a little less than a year ago” Luna said. He jumped off the bed toward Luna and fell right on his face knocking him unconscious. Celestia picked him up and cradled with him in her bed. As Luna was leaving she kissed Eli on the forehead and left to the moon.

The sun was slowly rising over the horizon, the light beaming straight on the small foals head. His eyes slowly open and he tumbled right off the bed into a pile of pillows and blankets Celestia set up for him. As he wanders down the hall he smells something sweet and travels towards it. He enters the dining hall and there was a huge buffet set along a long table. He looks up to a large crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. “Eli, over here” Celestia shouts from across the room. He wanders over and passes what seemed to be all of Canterlot, as he arrives to his seat he was picked up and placed on it. “Thank you Dusty” Celestia said to a small brown unicorn. She bows and walks to her seat, and then a voice calls out “Breakfast is served”.

There was so much to choose from, there were mountains of varieties muffins, hay bits, pancakes, and waffles. A large plate was in front of him and he decided to just put everything on his plate. He heard murmuring from the right of him and so he looked over, he saw two Pegasus, unicorns, and earth ponies. The only one showing true interest was a unicorn that had a purple pelt and had a variety of stars for her cutie mark. She tried talking to him but her voice was drowned out by the sound of guards talking about their shifts.

After breakfast was done and over with Celestia and the six other ponies signaled him to come with them. He trotted over to them and followed them to the hallway were he arrived at. Celestia closed the door behind them and looked at all seven of them. Eli was in between a pink and multi rainbow colored pony. “Eli, please come stand next to me” Celestia said, he walks up next to her and looks at the six ponies who are all fixed on him. “These ponies will teach you the true meaning of friendship, and may even help you get your cutie mark back” Celestia said. The purple on asked in confusion “Back?” “Why yes Twilight, back. It’s a really long story that I’m sure you will find out as he spends time with you.” Celestia explained.

“Oh darling I’m sure we will” said the other unicorn with a white pelt and a fancy purple mane. “I would like to know your names please” Eli explained, “Why sure I’m am Rarity” the white one said “Howdy, names Apple Jack” the orange one said “Oh, oh, oh, I’m Pinkie pie” she said jumping up and down. “This is Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy” she said pointing at the yellow and multi colored one. “The train to Ponyville is about to leave, you don’t want to be late do you?” Celestia said.

She said goodbye to the six and nodded them off they bowed and left, as they left Eli looked at Celestia “I’ll check in on you every once in a while, I promise” she said. The hugged and Eli trotted to the six waiting at the door. They arrive at the train station and climbed onboard. As soon as Pinkie Pie hopped in the door closed and the train jerked forward. As the train left Canterlot Eli looked outside of the window at the large kingdom blending into the horizon. He layed down and fell asleep for what seemed like seconds when he was awoken. “Wake up sugar cube, were finally here” Apple jack said. He looked at her and yawned, stumbled out of the bed and walked to the door.

This was his new beginning…
