I walked into the bar with my hood over my eyes, staring at the floor, watching my hooves move silently over the floor. "May I help you?" the bar-pony asked apprehensively. I snapped my head up causing my hood to fall off my head,
revealing my blood red eyes.
"Yes, I do believe you can help me," I replied staring into his forest green eyes "I'm looking for a certain unicorn, Trixie." The stallion flinched when I said Trixie, I could see the fear in his eyes as he said she was in the far right corner of the bar. "Thank you sir." I said as I casually tossed a bit onto the counter. I re-positioned my hood back over my eyes and walked over to Trixie. Once I stepped a few feet away from the bar-pony I could hear him grab the bit and put it in the tip jar. I smirked slightly, relishing in the feeling of knowing that ponies who didn't even knew me feared me.
I trotted over to a mare with blue hair sitting in the back of the bar, stopping right behind her silently. "Hello Trixie." I said making her jump.
"Miss Moon! Trixie does not enjoy being scared like that!" she said with a frown on her face.
"Oh do excuse me Trixie, bad habit of mine... So what kind of business do you want me to do?" I said trying to hide a smirk.
"The great and powerful Trixie wishes for you to kill Princess Luna." Trixie said without batting a eyelid.
"Why would you want the Princess of the Night dead?" I asked calmly, but in my mind I was freaking out.
"Trixie thinks she has something that Trixie requires. An amulet of incredible power." She answered after a moment of silence.
I stared at her while her my mind tried to contimplate how an amulet could drive someone to hire me to kill. 'Well... I am really short on money... Twist will kick me out of my appartment if I don't pay him...' I thought as I shuffled my wings. After awhile I cleared my throat and said "I'll do it... For 700,000 bits." I thought that she would refuse such a high price but Trixie just sighed and agreed to the price."It will be done by the end of the week." I said as I turned around and walked out of the bar. As I passed the bar-pony I shot him a glance that could kill, he nodded and I knew that he had gotten the message that if he had heard anything he was to keep his mouth shut.
I trotted a block away from the bar I had met Trixie in then discarded the back hooded cape I had been wearing a took off into the air towards my apartment in Couldsdale. On the flight to my house I thought of how I would kill Luna, and when. I decided that I would scout out the Canterlot Castle, then after I memorized her daily schedule I would attack when she was unguarded. By the time I had thought it out I had arrived at my apartment. I landed a few feet away from my apartment complex.
"There you are Bloody, I've been looking for you." a gravely male voice called out from the shadows, "You're 2 weeks late on your rent." he continued on as he stepped out of the shadows revealing a fat grey stallion with greasy dark brown mane and tail and grey eyes.
"Sorry Mr. Twist, I'm going to get the money soon, by the end of the week, I'll pay ahead even." I rattled off trying to get away from Felix Twist as fast as I could.
"Hm... fine, but it better be in my hooves by Friday at 3:00pm. If not I'm going to have to boot you out." Twist said as he turned around going back into his office.
"You wouldn't want to do that." I muttered under my breath.
I shook my head and trotted up 2 flights of stairs to my apartment. I was almost safely in my apartment when Derpy Hooves popped out of her's and almost ran into me. "Derpy! Watch out sweetie, wouldn't want you hurting yourself now." I said as I helped her up from the floor. I'm rather motherly to her, I can't help it, she really is a smart pony. Ya just have to get past her... well derpiness.
"Sorry Bloody, I was looking for you actually," she said as she tried to focus both her eyes on me. "Have you seen Doctor Whooves? He didn't make it to dinner and I was wondering if you saw him on your way home."
I racked my brain trying to remember if I had seen the brown earth pony on the way home, "Yea I think I saw him at Twilight's place getting his cloud-walking spell fixed." Derpy smiled warmly at me, said a quick 'Thanks' and went back into her apartment to wait for her colt-friend to come home. I smiled as I watched the young mare go back into her apartment, one might think that in my line of work I would want to avoid having friends, and I do avoid it, but it is hard not being nice towards a the kind mare that lived next to my apartment.
Derpy's apartment door closed and I sighed, still staring at the her door. 'Sometimes I wish I could be like her.' I thought as I turned away and went to my door. Before I entered my apartment I sat down on my haunches and let my wings relax, they drifted to my sides as I started at my door. It was a plain wooden door, enchanted so it could be on clouds, and it had gold numbering (42) on it. The two was slightly crooked so I lifted up one of my wing tips to move it. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Doctor Whooves come walking down the hall with a platter of muffins on his back. He smiled and nodded his head at me as he passed. We never really talked much, he knew my line of work and didn't want me anywhere near him or Derpy.
I turned back to my door smiling slightly, Derpy would love that Doctor got her some muffins. I nudged open my door after unlocking it and once I got inside my apartment I bucked my door closed. This week was going to be hell. Without even bothering to turn on the lights I floated over to my bed and fell asleep the moment my head touched the cloud pillow.
