Lost to the multiverse
Chapter 1: Forsaken
Load Full StoryHi, my name is Pinkie Pie, however these days most people call me Pinkie R. The R stands for reversed. I'm sure you can tell that I'm not the real pinkie, or at least not the one from this world. you see.......
... Pinkie was sadly going about her business on the farm, pushing rocks across the fields and forming small piles here and there. Her cutie mark shone on her hind quarters, her having received it some time ago when a rainbow of great proportions graced the sky above her. The farm was fairly desolate as she went about her job, rocks being the only thing cultivated there. Most of the land was solid dirt, the constant wear of rocks being moved over it making it impossible for grass to grow.
It'd been a year or so since her family had berated her to every extent for wasting time with a "party" instead of working the farm. Her mother had since taken all of her toys and stuffed animals, the few that she actually had at the time, to use as kindling for the fireplace, and she had even been yelled at for attempting to keep her favorite teddy.
She finished up pushing her rocks to the appropriate field, and headed for the house. the rest of her family having already retired for the day. Through the window she saw her mother handing inky a brand new stuffed bunny, its beautiful green button eyes glinting in the light of a fire fueled by yet one of pinkies own teddy bears.
She stopped walking and stared through the window at the fire, and then at an elated Inkie cuddling her new, adorable toy. She no longer felt the sadness that had been tearing at her heart for seemingly years, that emotion was replaced by one of pure, unending anger, a fury unlike any other. Since Inkie had been born, she'd been proven to be their favorite, they never felt much affection for their eldest pinkie, had even told her years ago that her coat colors appalled them. even blinkie, their youngest received no affection from them. All they were was fodder for the fire, as were her teddies.
Pinkie allowed the anger to consume her, quickly making her way to the back of the barn where the tractor was located and liberating the area of its gas can. she made her way back to the house and began pouring the gas along the side of the walls. dousing them vigorously. She slipped inside the side door and grabbed a box of matches from the kitchen, striking it on her way back out.
"Bye 'mommy'" she muttered as she dropped the already brightly burning match on a particularly soaked portion of the houses frame.
She trotted calmly to the edge of a nearby forest marked "white tail wood" and turned to watch the quickly burning house crumble away to ash. Screams sounded through the evening, and throughout the rest of the night, echoing off the walls of her mind.
After an hour or two trotting through the forest Pinkie found herself staring at what appeared to be a small building, th trees where clear around it making it appear as if this building were in some sort of clearing. she trotted slowly to the side, wary of any wandering eyes, upon rounding the building she stopped and stared in awe at the little town of ponyville.
"W- where am I?" she asked out loud to no one in particular. The town was dark, all its residents having gone to bed already, and she moved slowly along the dirt paved roads of a small residential area of the town. As she moved she saw a light click on in one of the houses and quickly ducked behind a haphazard hay bale, she glanced around the side and watched the window, soon enough the light clicked back out and she moved onward.
Pinkie soon found herself at the center of town staring at the town hall. The building was big and imposing to her and she found herself wandering what could be inside, however she gave up her inquiry soon enough as she found interest in continuing to look about. After wandering for a while more she stood just outside of the wondrously decorated store marked "sugar cube corner" and moved to the door, fascinated by the colorful building.
While pinkie was fixated on the decor, the door in front of her swung open, smashing her in the face and throwing her backwards off the doorstep.
"GASP!" Pinkie awoke in a soft warm bed. The room she currently occupied was bland and sparsely decorated with dark green walls and a small wardrobe to one side. She stood, rubbing her head which still hurt from the door that had hit her, she made a mental note to give that door a nice talking to at some later time, for now she had to figure out where she was.
She walked to the main door of the room, opening it cautiously and moving out into a hallway consisting of two other doors and a stairway leading down to the floor below. As she eyed the staircase, a blue pony with a mane that was oddly shaped like cupcake icing made her way quickly up them carrying an ice pack.
"Oh! You're awake!" the new pony said, enthusiastically "I thought I'd knocked you out for the next week, I had my husband carry you upstairs to the guest room to make you comfortable. You'd better lay back down, you still have a nasty bump on your head."
"I... oh, ok" Pinkie said, moving back into the room she'd just exited. "I'm new in town, just arrived last night and was looking for a place to..."
"You can stay here if you like dear. Its the least I can do for bashing your face in with my door. Here, lay down so we can get this ice on that bump." She pushed Pinkie down and placed the ice on her head, which was throbing with a headache "There we go, oh and by the way, you can call me Mrs. Cake"
"Thank you Mrs. Cake," She replied "I'm Pinkamena Diane Pie, but you can call me Pinkie Pie."
"Well Ms. Pie, if you need anything, I'll be downstairs." she said, moving back towards the door and opening it. "I may be busy with some customers though" she said, smiling and closing the door behind her
Pinkie decided to rest a bit, closing her eyes and laying her head down, but then remembered that she needed her teddy. The one and only teddy that her mother could never take from her, because she could never find it. Pinkie opened a small "portal" and pulled out a brown teddy in poor repair, there were holes in bad need of stitches and one eye was missing entirely. She hugged the teddy close as she went to close the portal, she waved a hoof at the opening and it shrunk slightly but stayed there, opening back up shortly after. she stared up at it confused.
RRRIIIIIIIP! A loud tearing noise echoed through the room, the portal opening wide before her and quickly beginning to draw in a gale. As the air rushed past her she quickly found herself in the air rather than on the bed where she previously was, her teddy still in hoof, and she was pulled screaming into the wide opening which closed behind her
