Chapter 1: Dreams Do Come True
The sky was blue, the birds were chirping, the grass was green. Nothing seemed out of place, all was right with Ponyville Twilight thought as she overlooked the landscape from her second floor terrace. Being the orderly type, she found peace in this, taking a deep breath, wanting to soak in all the beauty and tranquility. As if on cue, the serenity was ruptured by what sounded like an explosion, coming from Rainbow Dash’s house. As Twilight managed to keep her heart in her chest, she heard another sound. Rivaling the explosion, two words were heard all across Ponyville. “BUCK YEAH!!!!!”
Twilight looked up towards the sky, having a very good idea on how to explain the source of both outbursts. It didn’t take long for the outline of a certain cyan pegasus to come roaring towards the Treehouse. The wind ripped through her rainbow mane as Rainbow Dash began her decent, Spike had decided to join Twilight at her side, wanting to know what all the commotion was about. As if knowing she had an audience, Dash sped up, the colors of her mane and tail began to blur together and form a new sort of wonder. Spike cocking his head  as he watched this spectacle.
“Umm…….she’s coming in pretty fast Twilight, you don’t think she’s going to…”, “WOAH!!! LOOK OUT!!!” Dash shouted, reeling her forehooves back trying to stop.
The effort proved futile, as Rainbow Dash collided into both onlookers and tumbled into the side of the house. Stopping in a jumbled heap of hooves and claws.  Rainbow Dash was the first to recover, untangling herself and doing a once over to check for any possible injuries. Getting her own seal of approval, Dash turned her attention to the other two still on the ground.
“…..oooohhhhh……Spike, did you happen to get that carriage’s license plate?” Twilight moaned, as she tried to get her bearings.
“That was a carriage? I thought AJ buck us both in the head.” Spike exclaimed holding his own head in a tiny claw.
“Hehehehe…..sorry bout that guys”, Rainbow Dash said apologetically, rubbing the back of her head. “I guess I came in a little too hot huh.” “You’re okay though, right?”
“Yea…..we’ll be fine Dash, but what’s got you all excited anyways?” Twilight noted, wondering why Dash had such a big grin on her face after such a bad crash.
Dash’s grin got even bigger, “You’ll never guess what I just got in the mail. It’s….” Dash was interrupted by the sound of multiple hoof beats coming up the stairs.
“My word, AJ, did you have to tear me away from my work this instant? I was working with a customer; this could have made my career!!!”
“Oh horseapples sugarcube, you’re already makin fancy dresses for that famous pop singer, Sapphire Shoes or whatever, besides, we need to find out what happened.”
“Her name is Sapphire Shores; I’ll have you know…”
“Applejack’s right…..my ears are still all hurty wurty from that big explosion, though it was pretty super-duper awesome. I once made an explosion like that, but the Cakes got really mad at me for it, I think it might have had to do with them having to buy a new oven…..”
“Ohhh yes…..it scared off all my animals, the poor little things……”
As their friends made their way up the staircase, Rainbow Dash started to pace becoming increasingly impatient wanting to tell everyone her great news. Although she might have to do some explaining first, she could blow by that.
Eventually, everyone made their way onto the terrace, forming a small cluster next to RD and Twilight.
“Finally! I’ve been waiting here to tell you the news I….”
“Now hold on justa minute Dash, we all heard that explosion, so we all came here to find out what exactly went down and what happened.” Applejack explained, interrupting Rainbow Dash a second time.
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, “That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you…..if you would just let me talk, I’ll explain everything.”
“….we’s listening.” AJ said coolly, sitting back on her haunches waiting for her explanation.
RD let out a sigh, “The explosion was my fault, I received something that just made me....well…..explode.” Dash continued, “Which is what I’ve been trying to tell you guys this whole time!”
All eyes were on Rainbow Dash, except Pinkie’s, who’s where staring off into the sky. Dash ignored this and refocused.
“Well, darling? What is it that caused you to make such a ghastly display?” Rarity quipped in a short-tempered tone, wanting to get back to her boutique.
Everypony leaned in anticipation. Yearning to find out this “great news”. Rainbow Dash took in a deep breath and shouted joyfully, “I MADE IT INTO THE WONDERBOLT TRAINING CAMP!!!!”
