Suspiciousness
Pinkie Pie waited. She hated it and loved it simultaneously. She hated it because it made her get all sweaty from all the anticipation. She loved it because it gave her time to think about all kinds of things like cupcakes, friends, Pound and Pumpkin, cupcakes, laughing, different kinds of parties, new pranks, cupcak--
Itchy nose.
Fluttershy was coming inside now...
~ * * * ~
She wasn't all that excited about not knowing what would happen when she arrived at Sugarcube Corner, but she arrived nonetheless, and she would make the best of it. However, she did have one question for Pinkie Pie...
Her thoughts were brutally interrupted when a trapdoor opened beneath her and she was taken in by two pink hooves. This was surprising, but at the same time, it wasn't.
"EEP...!!" she squeaked. She found herself covering her eyes with her hooves as she touched the ground gently.
Gently? But... but she thought...
"Hiya, Fluttershy!" Pinkie Pie made herself known to her.
Fluttershy removed a hoof from in front of one eye to see. Pinkie was alive and kicking as usual. The walls were massively decorated. There was a rectangular table in the middle of the room. Applejack, Rarity, and Twilight were all gathered around it. She noticed that somepony was missing, however.
"Uhm... Where's--"
Pinkie Pie gasped loudly. "Wait!" she shouted. "Where's Rainbow Dash!?"
Fluttershy looked side to side and then back at Pinkie Pie. "O-oh..." she stuttered, "you didn't invite her?"
"Well, not personally, but I thought you would take her with you--" she stopped and covered her mouth, knowing she had said too much.
Everypony in the room looked confused.
"N-no..." said Fluttershy, "she's at work--" she then covered her mouth, too.
"Now hold up just a minute, Pinkie," said Applejack as she came up to the pink pony. "Rainbow always does things on 'er own. Why in Equestria would she need Fluttershy ta take 'er here?"
Pinkie shrunk down and hid behind her tail. She knew that Rainbow would eventually have a special somepony. She knew how to find out who it was. She couldn't stop her curiosity. So, having the greatest idea ever, she bought a tree costume and posed as a tree wherever she went, eventually leading to Fluttershy's yard. Who pays attention to trees!? It worked like a charm, but she couldn't help but feel guilty for spying on Rainbow and finding out who her special somepony was.
And now she was paying for it.
"Uhm..." Fluttershy piped in. "I-I think I'll be right back... You can start the party without me... if you want to..." She began trotting back up the stairs to the trapdoor.
Pinkie Pie had no intentions for the party to be THIS secret...

"...So you see, the cities that need the clouds the most will have them with this new way of exchange..."
Rainbow yawned obnoxiously as she listened from the back of the group to a lecture on 'cloud sharing'. She admitted it was a good change, but that didn't mean it wasn't boring.
The only thing she found interesting about it was the thought of another term for 'cloud sharing'. She could imagine it with Fluttershy...
Just the two of them. Alone, on a cloud that nopony else could see...
They would be kissing and hugging and rolling and caressing and tapping--
Tapping? What made her think of tapping?
She felt another tap on her back.
...Stupid daydreams.
She turned around to see Fluttershy looking at her with uncertainty. She wasn't quite sure if she knew what that kind of look meant or not.
"Hey, Fluttershy," she whispered. "What's the matter?"
"Uhm, R-Rainbow, I need to talk to you..."
"Well, duh..."
"Oh, yes... Well..." Fluttershy looked back in the direction she came from. "Remember what you said about keeping... us... a secret?"
"Yeeessss..." Already, Rainbow didn't like where this was going.
"Well... uhm... Pinkie Pie found out somehow and... and she accidentally said too much in front of the rest of our friends at a secret party... which you were invited to, by the way... and she feels really bad about it now... and Applejack is trying to get it out of her now... so, so do you think we should just... confess... to them?"
Rainbow was D.U.M.B.'d for the second time. Pinkie Pie would do that, wouldn't she?
'Ugh... Why did I have to tell her about that love-letter?'
Rainbow looked at Fluttershy. Fluttershy looked at Rainbow. Neither knew what to do.
"Well..." Rainbow spoke up, "what do you think we should do?"
"I..." Fluttershy looked down, and then at Rainbow's colorful mane. "...I don't know..." She then looked into her eyes. "That's why I asked you... I just don't know what to do..."
"Oh," said Rainbow. Not even twenty-four hours into their relationship and it was already complicated.
She saw that Fluttershy was still in need of an answer. She thought about what their friends' reactions might be. They would either be disgusted with them or be happy for them. It really was hard to tell which would come to pass, though. However, there was one thing she knew:
If they really were their friends, it wouldn't matter to them if they were together. She then made her mind.
"Okay, Fluttershy, let's give it a shot," she said happily.
"Oh." Fluttershy seemed surprised. "...Okay. But what about your weather-pony job? Don't you need to stay here for that?"
"Nah," she waved it off. "It can wait. It's just a boring lecture, anyway."
"O-okay..." Fluttershy said quietly, as they started to fly back to the Ponyville grounds.
They could only hope this went well...
