Chapters Chapter: 1
Prologue: Beeps and Whirz at the age of 25 becomes a star known all over Equestria for a somewhat strange and excitingly new genre of music known as Dubstep. This is the story of him at the age of 8 getting settled into his new home of Ponyville. It takes place in a slightly altered universe but only for the first two chapters besides this small change everything is aligned with the series, Diamond Tiara and the Cutie Mark Crusaders are all friends because it takes place at the start right before Diamond Tiara and Silver spoon get their cutie marks, this will just be for introducing characters. Beeps and his mother Dubwubs just moved from Canterlot. Beeps has lived his entire life with his father in the military so he is very close to his mom, who is slightly different from most mares in the way she interacts with foals but over all a loving, caring role model. Beeps is about to get going to his first day of school. The birds are singing outside the town is peaceful, Dubwubs was almost finished flipping pancakes cooking eggs and hiding bodies when..
"Oh boy oh boy oh boy mom!," shouted Beeps and Whirz as he bounced across the room in excitement. Wanting to get to his first day of school as soon as possible, Beeps was tugging at his mother's skirt and giddily shaking in place.
"Beeps, school is not for another hour, settle down and eat your breakfast!"
"But meeeem, I really wanna goooo!, Oh boy, what kind of kids do you think I will meet, will they be nice, I hope so." Talking about it only made him more excited. Beeps was a small foal at the age of 8, he had a short purple and black mane, white fur and a long flowing tail, he was really quite a cute little foal, looking the part of the classic pretty boy at school, but he sure as hell didn't act like it.
"Fine, but don't blame me if you look like a nerd and kids make fun of you," Said his mother while putting the remaining pancakes into the fridge. His mother raised him by herself, his father is in the military so they are fairly wealthy but Beeps has never known the stern hand of a father, resulting in behavior like this. Beeps looked surprisingly like his mother who shared almost all the same feature but she was an earth pony and he was a Pegasus.
The walk to school was a pretty short one, only a couple blocks away, they passed by many places in the process such as a bakery that looked like a giant cupcake, just looking at the store and all of the delectable treats it had in it's window made most ponies feel like they would get diabetes just from looking at it, a library and the market, none of them enticing Beeps like the confectionary shop though.
As the pair approached the front of the school Beeps realized just how small of a town they had just moved into, it was a single room school house with a small playground and a fence around it all. There were surprisingly many foals waiting for school to start, foals of all three tribes but not any other races, it was when he saw one specific filly eyeing him that he started to feel nervous for the first time.
"Mommy I changed my mind can we go back home pleeease, this is kinda scary," Beeps pleaded, to which his mom replied,
"Aw hell naw kid, this is your problem now." Beeps stared in horror as his mom walked away leaving him at this foreign destination.
"Hello," said an unknown voice and when he turned around he saw a beaming purple earth pony with smiling flowers for a cutie mark, she had the stereotypical condescending but loving tone in her voice as well. "You must be the new student, welcome to Ponyville, I know the other student's are dying to meet you, especially it being the first day of second grade and all," She said
"Thank you I was just sooo happy to be here but now I just want to go home, do I have to stay?" Beeps asked with hope in his eyes...that hope was quickly smashed by a wrecking ball, stepped on repeatedly and beat the hell out of with a bat when she replied
"No, but you will have fun I promise," She ended and walked away leaving a slightly discouraged Beeps and Whirz in her wake.
That was when the filly with the distinctive tiara on her head approached him slowly and spoke six words that struck fear into his heart, "Well look what we have here." Beeps gulped and knew this was not going to be his day.
"WH-Who are you?" He gulped not knowing if she was going to be friend or not.
"My name is Diamond Tiara, and I haven't seen you around here so you must be new. I don't see that you have a cutie mark, me neither, I will NEED to show you my friends, we have this super special club for people like us, I can just tell we're going to be the best of friends! Oh! Here's one now! YO SWEETS, COME MEET OUR NEWEST MEMBER," Diamond yelled at a white filly with cotton candy hair. She quickly trotted over and instantly started shaking his hoof like a mad pony.
"Hey! I love meeting new people!" The white filly said still g his hoof vigorously, "Diamond Tiara was our newest member as of late, it's sooo nice to have you here, where are you from, was it nice, do you have any friends, are you singl-," she was cut off when Diamond Tiara shoved a hoof in her mouth looking at her like she was crazy.
"Ha ha, what my friend meant to say was welcome to the group," the discussion was ended by the loud chiming of a bell signaling the start of school.
"Well that looks like our cue, come on we'll get you acquainted with everyone," Sweetie Belle exclaimed as she started skipping inside."
"Maybe this place won't be as bad as I thought," Beeps said to himself while galloping inside, restoring his confidence in his new home.

Hey guys, sorry for the length, I really just wanted to get this out there, I decided it will be updated every friday so this is just an introduction, I will have a new one out next friday or before then that is up to length. I really like this topic so if you would like to post how many chapters you guys would like to see in his childhood years please tell me. Overall im just really excited to get this started. Tell me how you like it! It is my first story so bear with me, and still could use an editor, stay beautiful everyone!
Chapter 2: New friends, new enemies
Chapter 2:
Beeps and his class were waiting in their seats, chatting quietly amongst themselves. Beeps had found himself sucked into a group he knew was going to be his closest friends in the school. The clock had just struck 8 o'clock when Cherilee made her way into the classroom with that cheery grim she had on every time the kids saw her.
"Ok class, it's time to quiet down and get on with our lesson," Cherilee spoke just loud enough just for everypony to hear; "Now as you can see we have a new student in class!" All the ponies in the room began to focus their attention on Beeps, like he might do a trick. "So let’s just all remember to give him a 'Big Ponyville welcome' when you get the chance, now let’s start our day off with some show and tell, shall we?" Cherilee quickly trotted to the back of the class room and sat in a chair. "Beeps and Whirz, why don't you go first so the class can get to know you a little better?" Cherillee suggested.
Sitting just a little shocked, it took a few seconds for it to hit him that she was wanting him to give his presentation NOW, so groaning, trying to get through the closely put together desks, Beeps finally made his to the front of the classroom brandishing a brand new pair of headphones that his mother had just got him last week for his birthday. "Well um, my name is Beeps and whirz, I’m new here and I just moved here from Canterlot and these are my headphones, they're pretty cool I guess , I use them on my pony-pod that I got last year, they work really well, they were around a hundred some bits." Beeps presented the headphones as though they were his child, getting more confident around the classroom, Beeps actually began to enjoy the show and tell, "Overall these are my favorite item in all of Equestria!," Beeps finished, throwing his hoofs up in the air for emphasis.
"Very good Beepy Weeps, now take your seat please, who would like to go next?" Cherilee inquired, "If someone doesn't volunteer I’ll have to pick myself," she said in a slightly menacing voice, again met with no response "Fine, Scootaloo you're up next," The orange filly next to him rose from her seat and sadly trudged up to the front of the room, when she was finished walking she set down a small scooter and proceeded to lean up against the wall.
"Lean like a Cho-lo," Dashes voice said in her mind, if her idol thought something was cool, then Scootaloo thought it was cool, and apparently leaning up against stuff is cool.
"Sup, my name is Scootaloo, you all know that, I’ve lived here all my life, and this is my scooter, it's pretty sick, I use it to get around, I can't fly yet so i can speed around on this thing for now and still beat most pegasi in a race though, I learned how to do tons of tricks and stuff from the coolest person around, Rainbow dash, oh Celestia, isn't she just the coolest, i wish one day i could be just like he-,"
"Oh! Sorry, well this is my scooter and it's awesome," Scootaloo finished quickly and trotted back to her seat slightly embarrassed.
The rest of the class presented their precious items, Sweetie Belle, the filly he saw earlier; presented her new CD's all of them colt-bands, which didn't seem enticing to Beeps in the slightest. Applebloom showed her favorite boots, she seemed incredibly nice but slightly behind when it came to school, he could instantly tell that she lived with the ponies that owned the massive farm just outside the town just by her appearance. After everypony else went after them it was just Diamond Tiara left, he really like her, she was nice funny and accepted him the first time she met him. She happily galloped up to the front of the room holding a shiny crown hat thing in one of her hoofs.
"Hi everypony, I’m Diamond Tiara and I just wanted to show all you what my daddy just got me!" She excitedly waved around a tiara encrusted with what looked like actual diamonds, Beeps knew that if they were real that tiara would be worth more than all of his possessions combined. "I love my daddy, isn't it just perfect?!" Diamond put the tiara on hear head and did a couple poses, acting like she was modeling for who knows what.
"Very nice, Diamond! "Cherilee said happily, moving to the front of the class room she began another announcement, "Class it seems that now we have 'show and tell' done we can move on to everypony's favorite... Math!" A chorus of 'Awwwwww' soon followed, but that was to be expected. Just then Diamond Tiara's flank began to resonate a bright light, temporarily blinding the class watching, when vision was regained what awaited on her flank was an image of a tiara. Everyone 'oooo'd and awwe'd' at the new cutie mark adorning her back side. With Diamond Tiara having a cutie mark the only ponies left without one was Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Applebloom and Beeps.
Many hours later all of the cutie mark crusaders, including Beeps, came to congratulate her on her new cutie mark. Sweetie Belle tapped her on the shoulder with a huge smile on her face, when Diamond Tiara wheeled around all they were greeted with was a sneer.
"What're you doing here?" She asked with malice in her voice.
Sweetie answered in a meek voice, "We just came to congratulate you-" She was cut off by Diamond's next retaliation.
"Why would I want a congratulation from a bunch of worthless blankflanks?!" She screamed at all them. The only thing that went through Beep's mind was that is this really was Diamond and it changed her this much just by having a cutie mark, then he didn't really want one at all!
Author's Note
Ok guys that’s it, I’ve established characters, I’ve gotten the universe on track with the show, now everything written will be around 2 thousand words and have some actual adventure and fun, i would like some ideas for chapters in the comments if you could that would be awesome. Diamond Tiara will be just like in the show but have a small crush on Beeps; it will be like the show in that it will sometimes be an adventure and sometimes a slice of life. Overall I’m just really excited to see where this story leads, thank you! :)
Chapter 3:
Still shocked by how much his first friend in Ponyville changed by the appearance of her cutie mark, Beeps laid in his bed in his foreign town and contemplated how or why she changed so much. To confused to talk to his mother about it Beeps came home from school, the bombardment of insults that Diamond Tiara spit at him still stuck in his head. 'Why would she say those things, we were all looking for out cutie marks,' thoughts like these continued to play in his head.
Beeps and Whirz mother was still up, doing taxes and cleaning dishes from that afternoon’s dinner that she had given to Beeps in his bedroom, she walked up the stairs to go to bed, checking in on her only child like she did every night. When she opened the door she saw the small colt staring at the ceiling with a strange expression on his face. She sat on the bed next to him and looked at him with concern spread across her face.
"Honey, what’s the matter, didn't you have fun on your first day of school?" DubWubs questioned her child.
"Yeah I did, but it's just that there was this filly, she befriended me at the start of the day. She introduced me to her friends, but when she got her cutie mark during show and tell she turned on all of us. Does that happen to everybody when they get their cutie mark?" She could tell that this was troubling him deeply, though he made many new friends that day, Beeps was still questioning the day’s events.
"No sweetie, she just over reacted, she will probably be back to her usual self tomorrow, if not she's missing out. You have lots of friends now, why don't you just play with them?" Still wanting her son to feel better, DubWubs now was questioning whether or not she even wanted her son interacting with such a rude filly. But what she wanted most of all was for her little colt to be happy. "In fact I think she will feel terrible for treating her friends like that, talk to her in the morning. I guarantee you she will be back to normal." Dubs said this and even in her own mind she believed it. This was going to be a goo place for their family. She kissed Beeps goodnight and walked to her own bedroom. Beeps laid and stared at the ceiling until he eventually drifted into unconsciousness.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP *SMACK* Bulls eye. 8 years he's been on this planet, 5 sleeping in his own room, all those days waking up to the pestering sound of an alarm clock it was no wonder to him how well he could hit the sleep button with his eyes closed. Beep wasn’t stupid he knew it would comeback so he sat up to turn it off. But it was too late, by the time Beeps turned off the alarm clock he was fully awake. Trudging down the hallway sighing in defeat Beeps began his daily routine. First shower, then get dressed... sometimes, then eat, get books, done, ready to leave by 7:30. Before he knew it, he was on his way to school. This was also the first year his mother allowed him to walk there alone.
"Why howdy there Beeps, Whatch'a up to?" Beeps heard the western accent before he even saw the small yellow filly walking towards him.
"Oh, hi Applebloom! You walking to school?" Beeps greeted her, excited that he knew that he had at least one walking partner at the start of the day.
"Well ah sure ain't flying there, bein' an earth pony an' all." While Applebloom was busy giggling at her own joke Beeps saw the error of his previous question. "Now that ah' think bout' it why aint' you flying to school Beeps?" Applebloom knew that most Pegasi liked flying so it was odd to her that he was using the ground as transportation.
"Yeah, ahhhh, I really can't fly yet, my wings are too weak," Beeps actually didn't like discussing this, it was a touchy subject, he used to get teased all the time at school for his lack of flight.
"Don't worry Beepy you ain't alone, Scootaloo can't fly either, people around here don't usually mind it or bother her about it that much, being a mostly unicorn and earth pony town." Beeps head shot up, he knew he was behind for his age but he never took into account that on the ground another Pegasus might have the same problem as him, knowing that many ponies in this town weren't Pegasi now gave him new confidence that he could start off with a clean slate.
"Thanks Applebloom that actually does help, and by the way where is Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo anyway? Wouldn't they be walking to school as well?" Beeps asked seeing that there were many foals walking to school but none of his newfound friends besides Applebloom
"Well Rarity is very protective over Sweets, she walkers her to school evry' day cause through Rarity's eyes everyone else but her is a foalophile, and Scootaloo...ya' know I don't even know where she lives, maybe on the other side a' town, im gonna' need to ask her someday, ya know?"
"Yeah, Sweetie belle’s with her sister and no one knows how Scootaloo gets to school so it looks like it's just me and you walking to school from now on," Beeps said happily, being glad that he had such nice friends on the second day of school. Overall everything was going perfectly, it looked like Ponyville was going to be the utopia Beeps was looking for.
Out of the corner of his eye Beeps saw a pink filly, but more importantly he saw an extremely extravagant tiara ON that pink filly's head. But it was when the pink filly turned to him that he knew either his problems will be resolved, or are about to get much worse.
