Stuck in the Wrong Dimension
"Damn Computer, always breaking." My laptop was starting to piss me off, one moment I'm browsing the inter-webs to my hearts content; then the next moment. WHAM!! It burns out on me. And I wasn't going to take it anymore.
I looked around my room, nothing really special about it. I lived with my mom for I didn't have a place to live, but I am planning on moving out soon cause this house is starting to give me the creeps. Even when I was young I never liked our house, it always creaked and groaned and just plain scared the living daylights out of me. I observed my room a bit more, a broken computer on my desk with many trash and crap all over it, there was also 3 or 4 bottles of Sprite on the floor; I never liked cleaning my room.
"JACOB!!"
At around that time my mom barged through my door, she seemed stressed today.
"Do you ever get off of of that darn thing?" My mom was yelling now. "You just sit on here watching videos and talking to random people from another part of the world! Don't you think you should do something productive with your life, like get a job and move out?"
I was never the one to reason with my mom or, "talk back", as she puts it; but now she is really starting to flip my lid.
"I know that I just sit here all day but what else am I supposed to do? The economy is crap as it is so finding a job isn't really easy." I got out of my chair. "Plus, I make money doing random tasks here and there, so why need a job?"
"Why you NEED a job is because you can't go through life being unsuccessful, you're just like your father, always on his ass."
"Don't talk about dad that way, you know he was a good man." I was trying to comfort her but she refused.
"I don't need your comfort, I never liked him anyway. He would always get drunk at night and come home with another bruise. I'm glad I divor-"
"YOU KNOW WHAT MOM?!" I exploded with rage. "DAD WAS A GREAT PERSON AND IF YOU CAN'T SEE THAT THAN MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST TELL HIM YOURSELF, BECAUSE I'M NOT GOING TO BE YOUR THERAPIST FOR WHENEVER YOU THINK ABOUT HIM!!"
When I was done releasing all my anger on my mother, I started to calm down. But through my eyes of rage I didn't realize that she was crying. 'What have I done', I thought.
"Oh mom I didn't realize I-" I was cut of by her.
"No, you're right, I should be supporting you not stressing you out. If you want I can help you find a job and a place. Does that seem fair?" She ended with a sigh.
"Sure, whatever you say, but first I gotta head to the store, this piece of crap died on me so I need a new one." I said while I picked up my laptop to show her.
"Sure, just make sure you get home by dinner, and put gas in the car for me please?" She asked with the "pwetty pweese" face that she makes, I can never say no to that face.
"Alright, I won't be out long just need to get this repaired, again."
I gave her a kiss on the cheek before I headed out.
"And don't go getting in any trouble alright?!" She yelled down to me.
"Don't count on it." I said, giving a little smirk as I my way out.

Later, at the store...
How can you ever find parking in this town? I'm starting to think I've been driving around the same area for the past 5 minutes. Eventually a car finally pulled out, thank god. As I pulled in I was thinking about what happened this morning, I didn't mean to yell at her, it was just my life has been pretty crappy as of now. Education is horrible, jobs are disappearing, the town is practically falling apart, there is nothing for me here. At least I still have one thing in my life no one can take away from me. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
I was hit with a sudden burst of heat when I walked into the store, It was reliving. I swear I was getting frostbite just standing outside.
I proceeded to the front counter to fix my dinosaur of a computer.
"How can I help you today sir?" The clerk said a little too politely.
"What do you think? It's sitting right there." I said pointing to the piece of crap on the counter.
"Oh, so sorry sir, I didn't notice. What do you need about it?". I was already annoyed about the fight this morning that I didn't need a dumbass clerk questioning the obvious.
"Look, I just need a new hard drive for my computer and then I'll be on my merry way, savvy?" I was in the clerks face now, I then snapped out of it when he answered.
"Well, I can check the back and see if we have any for your model, I don't even know if they make these anymore."
The clerk went on his way to the storage room in the back, so I was forced to wait. I just decided to browse the store and look for something worth my while. I went through the basic isles, food, clothes, video games (okay maybe not SO basic). Then I reached an isle that looked frighteningly familiar, the pink isle.
My brony instincts were telling me to look for some pony mementos, but I came here for a hard drive. It didn't mean I couldn't browse though!
I checked my surroundings for any sight of people that could harass me, I still have a dignity. I went down the isle, Barbie, Littlest Pet Shop, Bratz. Then I found the holy grail, the MLP section, then I got shot down. What I thought was the MLP we all know and love, I was shocked to see that is was G3. My jaw dropped at the sight of this, why do they still have these in stock? Hasbro discontinued G3 3 years ago! My brain was going into meltdown as I looked in horror at the grueling ponies, just seeing Rainbow Dash made me puke in my mouth a little.
"Um, excuse me?" I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw a mom and her daughter standing next to me.
"Oh, umm..." I was starting to sweat. How was I going to explain why I was gawking at the G3 ponies? Then I remembered the oldest excuse in the brony handbook. "I was just... getting a present for my niece, ya, that's right." I smiled creepily while sweat went down my cheek. "In fact, I could use your daughters help telling me what would be the best one to get." I don't know where that came from, but it helped my cover a bit.
"OOO, you should get her Pinkie Pie, she is the bestest pony ever!" Her enthusiasm was... disturbing, but she was too cute to say no, so I was forced to take it. Lord help me.
As I took the package to the front counter, something was off, why didn't the girl say anything about the newer generation, surely someone like her would know. In fact, the clerk at the counter didn't seem surprised that I was buying a My Little Pony toy, like he saw this all the time. I had to ask about this. "Umm, excuse me? But what happened to the newer versions of My Little Pony?" He looked at me confused.
"What newer versions? There hasn't been a newer version ever since G3 came out. We always had these toys in stock." Okay, now I was getting freaked out, what does he mean there hasn't been a newer version?
"What do you mean? There has been a new generation ever since the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic came out." Again, he look at me like I had a porcupine on my head.
"What new show? All there has been is the dvd movies, are you okay, sir?" No I was NOT okay, in fact if it wasn't for my hard drive, I would've passed out. "Enjoy your day, sir." He said as I collected my things and headed out all crooked like.
Images were going through my mind about what's going on. MLP: FIM not existing? And G3 is still around? I needed answers, so I got in my car, got some gas and sped home to get some information about this predicament.

I nearly fell on the stairs as I took my laptop to my room. How could it be possible that there was no G4? I needed to confirm that this was true, and that involved using my computer, oh joy. I didn't even check what kind of hard drive the clerk gave me, cost me a lot though. The hard drive looked like shit! It was probably not a day older 2003. But I guess it fit my ancient computer. I installed it and powered up my laptop, it worked thank god. I went through the basic set up and logged on, first things first, google. I googled as much as I could about MLP: FIM but nothing came up. Everything about Lauren Faust was either about Power Puff Girls or when she was going to conventions. But when I googled G3, everything about it came up, biddings for the toys, games, sites to show them off, they were all there, but nothing about G4.
I was panicking again. My mind imploded at the sight of this, why was this happening? Is this a bad dream, it must be! Ya, it is! 'Come on wake up man.' I was telling myself while slapping and pinching myself, but nothing was working. This can't be happening. I hated G3 and I always will, so why is it everywhere all of a sudden?
"I NEED ANSWERS!!" I blurted out so loud my neighbor's dog started to bark.
Around that point a pop up ad appeared on the screen saying, "Wan't answers? Click Here". This looked fishy and it was probably a virus, but why did it say need answers? It wasn't even flashy or colorful it was just plain white text on a black background. I had nothing to lose though, what was the point if my computer blew up again, there was no point on using it anymore.
So I clicked the mouse, and everything went black...
And then some.
