Merry Grinchmas Everypony!

Melody woke with a start. Her room was dark and empty, and her neck was stiff after a rough nights sleep.

Damn it... I must have slept on my head or something... I bet I look a mess...

Melody slowly got out of her snug bed, and pulled her way over to the light switch, watching it flicker, before her eyes shut as a bright light flashed into her room. She slowly opened her eyes, and walked to the mirror, waiting before her eyes adjusted to the new light before picking up a brush and gently brushing her creamish golden mane. It wasn't long before Melody was wide awake, and looking less like that Hobo who steals from your bins. Melody walked over to the calander, and was excited to see that it was the first of december.

Christmas!

Melody thought to herself happily.

I must get Cinos round to help me get ready! Ooh, and why not Tminz and Dustin, too? Feathersong aswell! Oh, what the heck, Nicholas can come too I guess, I just pray he doesn't wreck this Christmas like he wrecked last years...

Melody thought back to last year, where Nicholas had been invited round for Christmas, and had ruined it by forcing Tminz to hide behind the tree... poor guy... I guess he didnt see those electric cables...

Melody grabbed some fluffy socks, pulled on her boots, and wrapped a scarf around her neck, before leaving her small house in Ponyville, and flying off towards Cloudsdale to wake up Nic and Matt, who lived together in a small house there. Melody prefered to stick to the ground until Christmas was over. She was staying in "The Hay & Stay" Hotel... otherwise she would surely have frozen by now....

"Niiiiiiic! Maaaaaat! Get your butts outta bed and come help me wake up Christmas!" Melody called as she walked into Nic and Matts small house. Nic had given her a key in case of an emergency... but hey, she was allowed in anyway!  ...Right?

"Nic c'mon, you usually get up early for Christmas!" Melody called as she entered the living room. She held back a small giggle when she saw the scene in front of her. Nic was lying on the floor by the fire, snoring as if there was no tomorrow, while Matt seemed to have managed to snuggle up to Nic, which was somewhat impossible, since Nic is a very... "manly" guy...

Melody savoured the moment, before going to nudge the pair awake.

"Mmph... Gerrof.." Nic mumbled as Melody poked him in the back with her hoof, trying to wake the sleeping bundle she saw infront of her.

"Nic, get up! Quick, before Matt rolls over!" Melody giggled as she watched Nic leap into the air, awake in seconds, edging his way away from Matt, who was begining to wake up."Damnit Mel, why'd ya go and let this lump sleep on me? Did he bite me? Check my neck will you... Damn you Matt..." Nic complained, flicking his mane away from his neck for an inspection.

"Haha... no worries, Nic. Matt didn't bite you, I'm sure.. " She replied, giggling at the dark marks on Nic's neck.

"Good. Cause I don't want pony's thinking I'm gay." Nic said, walking over to the cookie jar to check if Matt had eaten his cookies.

"Go take a shower, Nic. And wake Matt up, too. I'll meet you back at my place at 4, first I need to go wake up Dustin, Tminz, Cinos and Feathersong now.." Melody told Nic, before walking over to the door.

"Oh, I think Tminz is at Dustin's house, bye." Nic replied, trotting over to matt, who was murmuring something that sounded like, "I'm Batman..." In his sleep.

Right, Tminz must still be there after the birthday sleepover, I made sure to go home so I didn't get molested, heh...

Melody thought, before flying off to wake up her friends, so they could get ready for Christmas.

Melody arrived at Cinos' place, a big house opposite hers in Cloudsdale. She knocked twise, and was happy to see Cinos answer.

"Ugh... 'Mornin Mel... Don't worry I'm getting up.... 5 more mins... please..?" Cinos begged, almost falling asleep where he stood!

"Haha, c'mon sleepy head, I need you to help me wake up Christmas! You game?" Melody asked, giving Cinos a nudge with her snout, edging him out of his warm house and into the cold air of Equestria.

"Alright then Mels, but can I take a nap after we get the others?" Cinos asked, spreading his wings and flapping them gently to wake himself up.

"Sure thing! Alright, can you go and wake up Feathersong and meet me at 4 at my place?" Melody asked gently, letting Cinos lean on her shoulder.

"Ok... your gonna go get Tminz, Dustin, Nic and Matt, then?"

"I've already reminded Matt and Nic, and Tminz is at Dustins, so It'll be easy!"

Just gotta get them outta bed...

Melody thought to herself.

"Alright then, I'll see ya later, Mels!" Cinos hugged Melody goodbye, and flew off towards Ponyville. Since Feathersong was an earth pony, she didn't live in Cloudsdale. Melody flew off towards Dustins house. Not long now... soon, she would be bringing back Christmas!

Melody arrived at Dustins house, after a long fly over to Canterlot. She banged on the door, calling Dustins name, and waiting patiently. It was cold in Canterlot, too!

"Oh, heya Melody! You here to come help me wake up Tminz, or to ask me to wake up Christmas?" Dustin joked, highfiving Melody with his wing.

"Haha, both! Lets hurry, the others are probably waiting!" Melody entered Dustins house, which was much, much warmer than outisde! She trotted up the stairs into Dustins room, spotting Tmin lying in the bed, snoring gently.

"I've tried to wake him up, but he's worse than Nicholas!" Dustin rolled his eyes at the sleeping lump of fluff. Melody walked over to the bed, nudging Tminz's back with her snout, in an attempt to wake him up. Tminz rolled over.

"Damnit Tminz, don't make me use force!" The only reply to Melody's threat, was a very loud snore.

"I hear ya!" Melody sat on the end of the bed, unfolding her wings as far as she could, before flapping them quickly, sending a cold breeze wafting towards Tminz.

"AHH COLD!" Tminz leaped out of bed, knocking Dustin off his feet.

"Get off me, you lazy colt!" Dustin shoved Tminz off of him, who then rolled onto his back, before looking up to see Melody standing over him.

"Um... Mornin' Mel?" Tminz smiled nervously.Melody nudged Tminz gently to his hooves, sweeping the dust off of him with her tail.

"Mornin' Tminz, now c'mon! Its almost 4! We need to get back to my house, and quick." Melody gave Tminz a quick hug before trotting back down the stairs with Dustin on her hooves, and Tminz slowly following behind.

"Wheres my hug then?" Dustin asked, an air of superiority in his voice.

"Ask Nic, I'm sure he's up for it." Melody replied, turning around when she heard a thud. Tminz was lying at the bottom of the stairs, his ass in the air, causing Dustin and Melody to giggle.

"Ugh, Mel, mind carrying me? I'm too tired to fly..." Tminz begged Melody, whining at her feet. Melody sighed before picking up Tminz and placing him on her back. Locking the house behind them, Melody and Dustin flew off back home to Ponyville, hoping they wouldnt be late to Christmas.

"Where in the hoof are Mel, Dustin and Tminz?! They are taking forever!" A grumpy Feathersong complained. The earth pony was digging at the ground with her hoof. "I'm so bored!" Feathersong continued to whine.

"Don't worry Feths, I'm sure they are on their way! Probably just trying to get Tminz out of bed..." Cinos comforted the bored mare.

"Well they better be on their way, otherwise I'm goin' back to bed, y'all hear me?" Nic flapped his wings and blinked a few times to wake himself up.

"Yeah! Me too! But first, I think I might make myself a sandwich, I love sandwiches! Almost as much as I love Nic!" Matt playfully nudged Nic, who slapped him across the face with a wing.

"Not infront of my friends, dude." Nic replied, shifting himself away from the teasing colt.

"Juuuust joking! Although I could do with a nice sandwich right now!" Matt licked his lips, while he rubbed his sore face where Nic had slapped him.

"Look! Isn't that Mel? And Dustin!" Cinos pointed with a white hoof into the sky, where Melody and Dustin flew slowly over to where the others were waiting.

"What took you so long, dude?" Nic trotted over to Dustin, butting him with his head.

"We just had a little trouble along the way. And by trouble, I mean Tminz." Dustin replied, pointing to where Melody had landed, or rather, flopped onto the ground, Tminz fast asleep on her back. Cinos and Feathersong ran over to Melody, helping the exhausted pony up.

"Your right Feths, carrying loads is an earth ponies job.." Melody streched her sore wings, leaning against Cinos to keep her balance, while Feathersong went and picked up Tminz, who woke with a start.

"Wha... where in the hoof am I?" Tminz said with a yawn.

"Your lying on the ground outside Mel's house, you derp. Now get up." Matt said, while Nic went and got his childhood friend up.

"Nice to see your awake for once, man!" Nic teasted, as they all headed into Mel's house, Tminz leaning on Nic, Melody leaning on Cinos, while Matt, Dustin and Feathersong followed behind, chatting about the upcoming events, happily.

"SHOPPING?!" Nic flew into the air with rage.

"Yeah, shopping. A traditional part of Christmas is giving presents to others, so we need to go shopping!" Melody answered, giggling under her breath.

"I HATE... shopping..." Nic mumbled, while Dustin knocked him outta the air and back to the ground.

"Alright, we're gonna split into teams for the trip I think, sound like fun?" Melody asked the group of ponies infront of her.

"As long as I'm not shopping with Matt. I'm waaaay too cool for him!" Nic sneered at the upset pegasus.

"Thats that! Nic, your going shopping with Matt!" Melody told the colt, whose mouth dropped open in astonishment.

"But Mel! Don't you remember last time I went shopping with Matt? I can't go into Hoofmark ever again cause of him!" Nic complained.

"Don't whine, Nic. Just go and get it over with!" Melody giggled. Nic grabbed Matt, and raced out of the door.

"You heard the lady, lets get this over with!" Nic shouted at Matt, before slamming the door behind him.

"Alright.. That leaves Tminz and Dustin, and me and Feths!" Melody said happily, grabbing her fluffy purple hat.

"But what about me?" Cinos asked nervously.

"You can come with me and Feths, now grab your socks and lets go!" Melody replied to Cinos, who lit up at the thought of shopping with two mares.

"Lucky Colt... Gets all the mares..." Dustin muttered under his breath.

"We'll meet back here at about... 9? If one of you bump into Matt or Nic, tell 'em! See y'all later!" Melody shouted behind her, trotting towards the shopping center with Feathersong and Cinos following.

/) Tminz and Dustin (\

"Damnit Dustin... I can't see anything the mares would like!" Tminz complained.

"You know we aren't just getting presents for the mares, right?" Dustin ansered the tired colt.

"Your not thinking straight, Dustin. You give a present, you get a present. See where this is goin'?" Tminz gave a sly grin.

"What in the hay is that suppost to mean, you dirty minded colt!" Dustin tapped Tminz on the back with his wing playfully, grinning back.

"I'm just saying... If I get Mel a present... maybe she'll give me one too!!" Tminz's grin was the biggest grin Dustin had ever seen.

"For pony's sake. Tminz, lay off the candy. And try to keep your mind off dat ass, too." Dustin rolled his eyes.

"Ok ok.. Fine. Lets go to Westmare first. They might have some cool stuff for mares." Tminz remarked, while Dustin nodded his head in agreement.

/) Matt and Nicholas (\

"OHH OOH! THIS! This is perfect! We should get this!" Matt jumped up and down in excitement at the sight of a pair of fluffy pink socks.

"Matt, I know you like pink, and socks, but we aren't shopping for you." Nic rolled his eyes at the excited colt.

"Naa you don't say! I mean, for Cinos! He loves socks! At least, he's always wearing those fluffy red and blue ones that match his mane. But they are getting old... so I thought we should get him a new pair!" Matt picked up the packet of socks in his mouth and trotted over to Nic, who had stopped walking.

"I think you may have something there, Matt. Good job, boy." Nic took the socks from Matt's mouth, dropping them in a basket.

"Gosh, I look so... Matt... holding this..." Nic stared at the flowery basket.

"I'll hold it!!" Matt jumped up, taking the basket out of Nic's hooves, but just as Matt landed on his back two hooves, somepony who seemed in a rush bumped into him, sending him, her, and the basket, crashing to the floor.

"Oops! My bad!" Matt opened his eyes to see a gray pegasus standing over him. "Hey Mister, are you ok?" The mare asked, one eye on the startled Matt and the other on Nic.

"Um.. yeah, I'm ok. You?" The mare helped Matt back onto his hooves.

"Ppft! Typical Matt. Bucking everything up." Nic turned away from Matt, flying off to look at some other gifts he could buy.

"Yeah... I'm alright, my wing hurts a bit, but I think I'll be ok." The mare brushed her smooth yellow mane out of her face and smiled at Matt.

"By the way, the names Derpy. Derpy Hooves. I'll see you later, Mister!" And before Matt could even apologise, the ditzy mare had flown off.

"Woooah..." Matt replied.

/) Melody, Feathersong & Cinos (\

"Well, we've got gifts for everypony, I think it's time to head back, don't you?" Melody asked Cinos, who was trapped, a mare either side of him.

"Uh, sure." Cinos replied nodding his head.

"But wait! We haven't got a gift for Dustin!" Feathersong replied to Melody, her eyes wide.

"Alright then, Feths. Lets go look, shall we Cinos?" Melody asked the colt, who nodded his head yet again.

"Hm... Dustin is quite the artist, don't you think?" Melody asked the others.

"I always thought him to be a rapper." Cinos said, while looking at some expensive mic's.

"Na, Dustin is an artist. Nic's the rapper." Feathersong playfully butted Cinos in the side. "You haven't forgotten your friends, have you?" Feathersong teased.

"Hey look! Isn't that Nic?" Melody flew over to a pony. "Hey Nic! You done yet?" Melody asked the colt.

"Wha?! Oh, its just you Mels. Sure I'm done. Matt isn't though. He's been stuck daydreamin' ever since he saw that ditzy mare..." Nic replied, a hint of jelousy in his voice.

"Nic, if I didn't know you, I'd of said that your jelous!" Cinos came flying over, stranding  Feathersong on the ground.

"HA! Jelous? Me? Of that mule? Naa man!" Nic nervously flew off in the direction of home.

"See you pony's later!" Nic shouted over his shoulder.

"Alright then. Lets head home, and plan what we're gonna do tomorrow!" Cinos said cheerfully, followed by a cheer from the other mares, and Dustin and Tminz, who had arrived just in time to head home with the other ponies.
