Winch looked around the blackened night. The human had earned all of the pony’s trust, and he now just stared at Canterlot.
Winch’s plan was now in play. He had gotten this far, now it was just getting to Princess Celestia. The castle was blackened from the night outside.
Winch looked around, and then dashed for a doorway. Seeing a Royal Guard, he pressed his body against the wall, on a blackened corner.
The guard walked past the corner, not bothering to look to the side. The guard’s helmet had a purple stripe going down the side. Winch thought this stripe meant he was of high importance. Winch slowly, silently, crept behind the guard.
He silently slid the dagger from the cloth it was held in, then as silently as possible, he quickly placed a hand under the guard’s chin, and then dragged his head back in a fast jerk, missing the neck, Winch stabbed the guard’s spine. The guard gasped, and yelled something. It was most likely a name. “TWILIGH-“ Winch tore the dagger out violently, as he did, he violently shoved it through the metal of the back of his helmet, piercing the guard’s head.

Suddenly, Winch heard a “Pat” noise, from down the hall. It got louder, and still Winch just stood there. A purple pony with no armor burst from the corner with great agility. Her horn was levitating a lantern in front of herself. She stopped, then she saw the guard, and Winch. The pony, most likely Twilight, had her mouth hanging open. She just stood there. Tears rolling from her eyes, she slowly, quietly said
“Shining Armor…..You were my best friend big brother….” Winch heard what she said, and wide eyed, he thought. So his name is Shining Armor, and Twilight is her name, and they’re brother and sister.
Winch slid the dagger off of Shining Armor’s helmet slowly, and his lifeless body dropped to the floor. It seemed like 5 minutes had passed when he let go of Shining Armor. Then, suddenly, Twilight ran in the other direction. Winch ran after her. They ran for a long while, it seemed. Soon Twilight burst through a set of double doors.
Finally, the Princess’s part of the castle. It was amazingly bright, for the fact it was midnight. Winch saw Princess Celestia sitting on her throne. He quickly rolled behind a chest, making sure to stay out of sight. Twilight ran up to the throne, and quickly attempted to alarm the princess. Winch snuck along the wall, but then was spotted by Twilight, and pointed at Winch, Talking something to the princess.

Princess Celestia stared at Winch with no expression. She said something, and 3 guards, came down from a small stairway. They were grey, with golden armor. They marched slowly toward the princess, and Celestia said something to them, like an order. Winch wanted to run, but 2 guards had taken place at the door. The three gray ponies began to march in Winch’s direction. Winch felt like a huge weight held him from running. Winch pulled his knife from the cloth, and threatened the guards. They just kept marching forward, and didn’t care what winch held.
Winch felt the weight, and just dropped the dagger to the ground. The gaurds still marched forward.
Celestia looked at Winch, with an expression that looked as if she were saying “You brought this on yourself.” And then as Winch was looking at Celestia, he felt something spin him around, a hoof pushed him to his knees. Winch’s eyes went black.

When Winch came to, he was in a field, and Celestia stood there, and Winch was on a guillotine, and many of the ponies that he had come to be friends with and love, gathered in the field, like Rainbow Dash, Octavia, Lyra Heartstrings, Vinyl Scratch, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Scootaloo, even Luna, And many more. Celestia spoke. “Today we are gathered here for a reason. Today we are here for the execution of a human, who calls himself ‘Winch’. He has murdered the captain of the Royal guards, Shining Armor.”. The crowd gasped, then it died down.
Winch squirmed in the awkward position he was in. Fluttershy left the scene, crying, she couldn’t bear to see Winch get executed. Celestia then asked Winch “Why did you murder Shining Armor, then come to murder me next?” Winch just spat in Celestia’s face, and said “You disgust me, the way you rule this kingdom is just pitiful.” As Celestia wiped off the saliva, she said “ That is where you are wrong, I have ruled this kingdom for 1,000 years, and everypony has never complained about it.” Winch in return, just said “If your ruling is so good, why has it urged me to kill you?” Celestia looked surprised at the question, and she stuttered for a brief moment. “That… I cannot answer, Winch.”

Most of the ponies in the crowd were just frozen. Frozen like ice. Like they couldn’t move. Winch attempted to pull the knife from the cloth, but he remembered that he had dropped it on the castle floor. Celestia said “ You dropped it, Remember?” Then just waved a guard over. A guard trotted over to the princess.
Celestia started to whisper to the guard. And then the guard slowly walked over to Winch, and put a hoof on his back. He slowly pushed him to the ground. Winch hit his knees first, and the guard slowly lowered him to the neck hold on the guillotine, and Celestia gave him word to back away and hold the rope to pull the guillotine.
And Celestia said “ This was not an act of harm to anyone, this was simply to avenge our beloved Shining armor, and I am very sorry for Twilight Sparkle, my mentor’s loss, of her brother. The royal army cannot be commanded without Shining Armor, he was a friend, a brother, and also the captain of the royal army. “ “We will elect a new captain soon.” “ You may say your last request, if you have one.” Winch stared up. “I’d like to say goodbye to all of my friends… All of you, who helped me through my hard times. That’s all…” Celestia looked sorrowful to do this. “I have never had to do this in 50 years… but.. pull the rope.”
With that, the guard holding the rope pulled it back, and the guillotine fell. And with that, Winch’s beheaded body fell over, and his bloody head fell into a bucket. Then almost everyone, even Luna, And Celestia cried with sorrow.
This is the end. The crowd was openly crying now. This is the end. The end of Winch, and his story.
