Kain looked out and watched the old gray city. It was a large city yet so little life moved through it hardly any people could be seen walking in the streets and even fewer cars could be found. Turning around he faced the eight people in the room with him. Three of them acted like they had no care in the world. The others looked somber not saying a word these eight where both his colleagues and his closest friends.
Immortality is easier when you have a few friends to spend it with. With a sigh Kain stepped closer to the group of his friends nodding to the closest one he spoke "alright it is time, we need to leave by sunset"
Hearing what Kain had said the three that had been talking got as quiet as the others, the closest one man to him stood up and spoke in a gruff voice "alright Kain we are ready I think we should leave as soon as possible"
Looking at the man he was a few inches taller than himself with a strong build. "Right Mandel you take your group through first, my group will come after you" the tall man in front of him nodded and waived two people two follow him from the group three walked out of the room silently
Looking back to the group he spoke"Ra, Talon come with me we should check the storage spaces before we leave"
Ra was just slightly shorter than Kain he also had a little lighter build he had blonde hair with eyes colored silver glaring at Kain he spoke annoyed "you know I don't like you calling me Ra"
"Man thought you would have gotten used to it by now" Kain replied. Of course Ra wasn't his real name but none of use wanted to try and pronounce his actual name and Ra suited him better we called him that because a few Millennium ago he managed to convince some ancient Egyptians he was some kind of god he had only gone to a small town but they ended up making it a very big deal. So after that we started calling him the name that the egyptions had given him.
Mumbling the two stood up and followed him out they walked down the marble halls and came to a set of bedrooms "alright you two store anything you might need when we get there but remember no advanced technology this race is not ready for that yet"
Nodding the two unlocked the doors to their rooms and stepped in. After they had shut the doors Kain turned to his own room Stepping in he closed the door behind looking around the near empty room the only light coming from the large window on the opposite wall. Grabbing his ingredients bag and the sword that Talon had given to him when they met it had some very old Greek magic in it with more spells in it than he can count. Holding both of these objects in the air his hands got a small glow and the bag and sword disappeared from existence.
Nodding at their disappearance he turned around and stepped back into the hall where the other two already having done with what they needed to do are waiting for him. Raising an eyebrow at them "you two ready?" nodding to him the three started back down the empty hall again this time they went to the stairs. Not as sound was heard except for the sounds of there footsteps on the stone stairs as they descended into the basement
Reaching the bottom of the stairs the three approached an intricate pattern carved into the stone on the ground Kain could feel the extra energy in the room from the last time it was used he drew some of the energy into himself.
As Kain walked to the correct position on the spell his two partners did the same. Once all three of them where in there correct places he began to pour raw energy into the spell around him. The etchings in the stone around him glowed slightly as his friends did the same and had started pouring in there energy. Soon the spell had been fully charged and was ready for them to transport. He keeping his eyes closed he spoke "the spell is charged I am ready"
First Ra spoke "i am ready as well"
After a second of hesitation Talon spoke "ready"
At this Kain reached out and proceeded to fully activate the spell. All three of them gasped as sudden raw and seemingly boundless magic flowed through them. The kind of power that he could only dream of and even then it seemed more than that joy filled him he felt more alive than he had ever felt in his long life but soon it over whelmed him and he fell unconscious with nothing but a dark dreamless sleep to follow.
Ric had been at the top of the stairs and watched as Kain vanished in a bright flash. Sighing he found he could no longer feel there life forces they where no longer connected. But that would soon change once he went through he would be reconnected. he once more Looked back on the world he was about to leave in favor of some alien world where equine beings where the dominate species.
He had spent nearly three-millennium with these friends watching the human race grow in numbers and in power. He shook his head it wasn't what he was leaving behind that bothered him. He actually hated the world as it currently is so much violence and chaos no the thing that worried him is the fact that he could feel the magic left in the earth, there was almost nothing left.
He knew that once he left he would take whats left of that magic with him ensuring that earth would never be able to have magic again. snapped out of his thoughts by one of his partners , raze asking him if he was ready getting one last look at his world he sighed and responded "yes lets go"
Kain looked up as light filled his vision a bright sun had risen over the horizon the warmth covered him he could feel it in his very being. Kain looked up to see his best friend Ra standing outlined by the sun behind him.
"Impressive Ra a little flashy but nice all the same"
"Kain your always the one who can lighten my mood" Ra said with a grin.
"Indeed but tell me what is troubling you?"
"This world sun is being controlled by a goddess I cannot use much of its power without her permission"
"That is troubling you not being able to use the suns magic will be very difficult I imagine it is like losing a very part of your being. All we can do is hope that the goddess allows you to use some of the suns power"
"Yes that is true and speaking of the sun it is rising time for us to wake up"
"alright I will see you when we wake brother" as the scene in front of him faded to black he thought about how him and Ra had met Kain himself was only 200 years old. He had been traveling the world when he met Ra one day in Egypt after he had raised the sun. They were the first of the immortals to meet and they had grown closer than any of the others could understand they considered each other the only true family they had.
suddenly Kain's vision filled with color as he woke he stared for a second at mass of pink and blue in front of him and then a stream of words filled his hearing.
"Oh Kain you finally came back and you brought your friends! Ooh I will need to throw them a party later and I'll need to invite every pony in pony Ville so you can make lots of new friends!"
Kain smiled as he recognized his equine friends voice "Pinkie pie calm down we haven't even turned into our pony forms yet and you’re planning them a party they should get a chance to meet some of my friends first and we will need to find a place to stay"
pinkie pie backed out of his face and turned to face the two people standing up behind her "OK but you should hurry we have a lot to do today lots of ponies to meet and friends to make and I have an extra room here but only enough room for one of you"
Nodding Kain stood up and pulled an amulet out of thin air "OK you two brace yourself for the transformation"
They looked at him surprised "we are transforming so quickly we have barely had a chance to stand up"
Kain looked at him "well we are standing in a popular Baking shop in the middle of town and if I do recall we have a cover to keep at least for a while" Kain placed the amulet on his neck and his vision blurred and then snapped into focus to see that they too had transformed. Now standing there in the room where three Unicorn Stallions they had a brown coat and there manes and tails seemed to almost shimmer with magic making it hard to tell there exact color. The three looked very similar to each other but each one had a different height and body build, just enough to be able to tell them apart.
pinkie looked at the three of them "ooh you three look so handsome as stallions now I know you have your eye on some pony in town Kain but you two don't have any mare friends yet" she gave the two a sly look. The two instinctively took a step back in surprise.
"Now pinkie pie you shouldn't tease them there new to this, and I don't have my eye on any pony in town anyways" Kain said calmly.
"Ah Kain you can't hide it from me I have seen it enough to know what’s going on but I made a pinkie promise not to talk about other ponies love lives so I will be quiet for now"
"OK well then while you set up the party I think we are going to go visit twilight at the library and introduce her to my brothers” he said to pinkie pie
"Well all righty then, ah! I better get going if I’m going to get all the invitations delivered!" with that the pink pony zipped out of the room in a blur.
Kain turned back to his friends with a small grin "now would you two like to explain how a pink party pony got the best of a pair of three thousand year old wizards?" Kain watched as they themselves tried to figure out how she had done it
"Listen doesn’t worry about it she did the same thing to me you will get used to it eventually... I hope anyways we have a special Unicorn to meet she is living in the library so let’s go"
Kain walked out of the door with the others following Talon whispered to Ra just quiet enough that Kain wouldn’t hear
"Something isn't right about that pink pony"
"I know and I like it she seems like she is going to be full of surprises" Ra replied with a smile as he trotted to catch up to Kain and Talon just muttered under his breath
after a minute or two of walking Talon noticed a pony on a bench playing a lyre although he wasn’t sure how with hoofs he was impressed at skills of the pony turning to Kain he said "I feel like it would be so much easier to do stuff around here if we had hands"
"You’re probably right but we are not humans any more that was our old life we have to move on" Kain replied
"Yes I know but hands would still be helpful" he muttered as they kept walking not realizing that the pony that had been playing the lyre had stopped and was staring at them wide eyed as they walked away.
"Ah and there is the library" Kain said before trotting up to a building that had been crafted into a still living tree.
"Remember you two keep in character this pony doesn't know about us yet" without a word Kain knocked on the door it was immediately opened by a small dragon
"Hey Spike is Twilight here?"
"Hey Kain ya she is upstairs I'll call her, Hey Twilight Kain is here to see you!"
There was the sound of something scraping the floor upstairs then in a purple flash she was standing in between Kain and Spike
"Kain your back Maybe you could help me, I have been working on a Project for a couple of days now and i could really use some extra help with it"
Kain looked over the mare her mane and tail was a mess and her eyes bloodshot from lack of sleep "Twilight me and my brothers would be happy to help you but I think you really should get some sleep it looks like you haven’t slept for three days"
"Only three? That’s funny I haven't slept for almost five." Twilight said waiving him off
"Twilight you need to sleep" he said giving her a glare
They glared at each other for a minuet before Twilight broke "oh fine I will go get some rest but after that you three are going to help me" Twilight turned around and started up the stairs.
"Ok while you’re resting we are going to help Spike pick up the library a bit"
With that twilight reached the top of the stairs and went into her room
Spike sighed and turned to the three ponies "thank you guys for helping when it gets like this it can take a while to fix it up we might be able to finish before she wakes up"
Kain smiled "Spike we want to show you something that will help you a lot in while cleaning" after saying this a small blue stone appeared in front of spike which Spike caught
"Whats this?"
"A magic gemstone"
"What does it do?"
"I will show you OK close your eyes and picture the room as it is supposed to be with all the books in there right spot picture it with as much clarity as possible don't open your eyes again until we say" Kain said smiling
"Um ok ill try" Spike closed his eyes and pictured the library as it looked last time he had cleaned it well dusted all the books where it needs to go.
As Kain watched the little dragon focus magic seeped out of the stone the books gently jumped into the air and glided into there proper spots after a minuet of this the library looked perfect and the magic stopped seeping out of the gem.
"OK spike you can open your eyes now"
Spike opened his eyes and gasped as he saw the room it looked exactly like how he was picturing it
"Wow did I do this?"
"Well the spell that did it came from the stone but most of the magic came from you yes"
"That’s so cool what else can it do?" Spike said inspecting the stone
"well actually that's all, see we used it back where we used to live to clean up after those parties that got a little to wild"
"Oh wow that’s still really cool"
"Ya say you will probably need it more than us now so why don't you keep it"
"Really you will let me keep it?"
"Ya sure but remember you can only use it once a day"
"Wow thanks so now that the library is clean what do you want to do?"
"Well i think that these two should meet the rest of the elements of harmony and then we need to find a place to stay for a while"
"Well I think you can sleep here in the basement like usual but we don't have enough room for them to sleep here, I think applejack might have an open room but she will probably have you work for it"
Talon almost seemed to perk up at the idea of work he had always been a bit of a workaholic he said that if he wasn't working on something then he was wasting time. We tried to remind him that he literally had all the time in the world but he ignored us.
"Well then i think we should go have a talk with applejack"
"Ok i will see you later and i will tell Twilight where you three went"
"See you later Spike"
Kain opened the door two the library and the three of them walked out and closed the door behind them.
"So where does this Applejack live?" Talon asked
"She lives on an apple farm outside of town and from what I can tell Apple buck Season is about to start"
"Apple buck season?"
"It's when the apple family harvests the apples"
"Alright then lets go then" Talon started walking away from the library
"Um Talon there farm is this way" Kain pointed out
Talon turned around and started walking in the direction Kain had just pointed out ignoring Ra holding back a laugh and Kain shook his head.
The three enjoyed the scenery while they walked to sweet apple acres
Ra looked up into the sky and noticed a few dark clouds raining over the fields
"Hey Kain what are those clouds doing here?"
"Oh there rain clouds Rainbow dash must be helping applejack by watering the fields it's strange she always seems to be out here whenever I visit although i guess it is about lunch time"
Ra perked up "lunch time?"
Kain laughed a little "yes lunch time looks like you two will get to meet the apple family and Rainbow dash at once"
As the three entered the gate to sweet apple acres the saw a trail of rainbow arch from the field and disappear behind the house
"well lets go see how the apple family is doing"
