The Fellowship of the Cupcake: Part 1: A Long - Expected Birthday Party

Load Full StoryNext Chapter

A long time ago . . . in a little land called the Shire . . .

A young Hoppitt named Pinkie Baggins sat lounging under a large oak tree, reading her favorite

book, "How to Gain Weight" by DH. The sun was warm and making Pinkie feel

rather drowsy, when suddenly she heard a familier voice.

"Pinkie Baggins! Is that you?"

"Twidalf?!" Pinkie rushed up to her friend. "You're here! You have

NO idea how long I've been waiting for you!"

Twidalf only smiled. Being a wizard pony, not many things surprised

her, even when her pink friend had become slightly crazier since the last time

she had seen her. She straightened the fireworks packed on her back.

"I've brought my fireworks," she said. "Is your aunt home? She better

not be on any adventures right now, with her birthday tonight and all."

"Yes!" Pinkie bounced up and down. "She's can't go on any adventures

right now- she's writing a book about her old one right now!"

As the two ponies walked along the old dirt road that led to the little

village of Hoppittville, Pinkie started indulging Twidalf in the latest doings of

almost everypony in the village, what she and her aunt thought of the Bagville

Bagginsis and exactly how many ponies were invited to the birthday party.

But Twidalf was only thinking of Pinkie's aunt, Bon Bon Baggins, and what

she planned to do at the party.

That night, fireworks lit the skies up and Bon Bon Baggins was about to

make her Birthday Speech. But nopony was listening. They kept talking about food

and fashions and fashions and food until Bon Bon yelled at the top of her voice,

"HEY!!!"

Everypony went quiet.

"Anyway," began Bon Bon, "as you all know, today is my 100th birthday . . . "

For some reason, Pinkie felt herself go into a cold sweat. Something told her

something was very wrong.

" . . . but I feel time wearing on me . . . I need to go . . ."

There had to be some reason for this unnverving suspense. Pinkie held her

breath as her aunt mounted the table to add more to the already strained air hovering about

her.

" . . . so now is the time to say goodbye!" Bon Bon concluded dramatically.

Pinkie wondered if it was her imagination, or was Aunt Bon Bon holding something in her

hoof . . .?

Then it happened.

Bon Bon Baggins disappeared.
