To belong to nothingness

Over the sky of Canterlot's night, raises the moon, the symbol of the Princess Luna, and under it, the Royal Castle of Equestria. This fortress represents the proud of the kingdom, and it's a show of the power of the princesses' power, and because of that, it's the center of the entire realm.

But it wasn't a normal night, and it all started when the moon turned into a black-purple colored sphere, instigating fear and worry over the land of the glorious Canterlot, hovering the Castle under a shadow of sorrow. Celestia, the majestic queen of the kingdom looked at it, through the window, and started to think about the reason of that never seen before phenomenon.

"I must tell my Sister. She must know about this."

And so, the alicorn alked down the stairs in order to find her sister. Soon, she reached her sister's chamber, and with a worried look, talked to her about that event.

"... It's not anything we've faced before, Luna! I feel great power coming from that sphere, and i also feel dischord and disharmony coming from it... it is making me feel anxious."

"Is that so? ... We can't leave anything like that fright the entire realm! Let's go, my sister, we should get rid of it as soon as we can."

The Princesses left the castle and took a look around them. There was nothing but just a dark shadow covering the surface of Equestria's capital city. As soon as they looked at the sphere, it compressed itself and turned into a black, white shining eyed Alicorn, twice the size of Celestia, with a waving not-cloud like mane, but a disheveled one.

The sisters came close to it, and, looking into its glowing eyes, asked it for what was it doing.

"Who are you, -Asked Luna- And what do you want here?"

"Or, better we say, what are you -Replied her sister.?"

The giant dark figure looked at them for a while, and started to talk with a creepy voice, remembering a lot of mares and stallions talking at the same time, making the own land tremble.

"I am... the dark messenger from the Nothingness, -Said the black one- and i came here to turn Void's desire in reality. You, miserable princesses of this kingdom, shall not interfere with the Void's will, or else, you'll be destroyed and turned into ashes."

"And do you think we shall be scared of you? -Asked Luna- Are you even related to that Draconequus?

"Oh, the losser. He doesn't even knows who was he working for, Ha ha ha ha... -Replied the dark one."

"What is that "Void's desire"?-Said Celestia-"

The black Alicorn smiled with perversion, and speaked something that both queens would never forget.

"To destroy everything, to destroy everything you've made, because you've launched all the hate and disharmony to the Void, to the nothingness, but it now wants to get its revenge, and i am the one who will get rid... of your damned "love and friendship" kingdom."

Celestia was shocked by that answer, and Luna raged after that.

"-Who... who the hell are you? -Asked Luna."

The darken psychopathically laughed, and looked with evil eyes to both princesses, and then, spoke the most terrible words it could have ever said.

"I am Distortion! I belong to the void, it belongs to me, your kingdom and all you've created will be reduced to nothing, and will be turned in hate and fear!"

The Sisters couldn't wait any longer, and laucnhes powerful energy beams from their horns. Almost hiting it, the dark one created a barrier with it own horn, and dispelled the beams. Then, it screamed furiously and made a block energy sphere from itself, hiting both Alicorns without giving them any chance to move.

Distortion defeated them without any consideration

Luna was the most affected, as she was hited and lost her frontal hooves and her left wing, falling to the ground and twisting of suffering. Celestia was wounded and started to bleed from her right side, with her right wing completely burned, and her left one halved. She both were inmediately reduced.

"Go ahead and leave me. -Said Luna, spitting blood- and warn Twilight about this!"

"But i can't leave you!"

"Just the damned do it!"

Distortion launches an energy beam from its horn, charring the dying Luna, who just screamed of pain and suffering. Celestia couldn't believe what was she viewing. her own sister was fried in front of her, and she could do nothing but just cry of sorrow...

"Oh, Are you crying yet? -Asked Distortion- You shall not, soon you'll be with her, too!"

Celestia used the her low strength to cast a teleport spell, and she went to her chamber. And soon as she did it, she started to write a letter to someone special: Twilight Sparkle. But even through she did it for the god of the kingdom, she wasn't able to hold back her tears, now that she lost her sister.

"Twilight, I have no time for explications, You must be aware of this foe, he isn't anything that you can't fight alone, you'll need your friends, to seal this enemy, once and forever...

You might not see me again, but you must know that you are my best student, my favorite one, and that wherever i am, i'll be supporting you."

After cast the card-sending spell, Celestia faints under the darkness of her room.

Meanwhile, Distortion was reducing Canterlot to ashes with its energy beams and charring energy spheres, and assimilating everypony who tried to stop it.

"So she escaped... It doesn't matter now, this town will be the first to fall under the Void's will... Pray your plea!"

Distortion laughed and laughed as a crazy one, it could not be any happier with the bloody mess it was doing, and so, its powers were strengthening. Soon as it finished to erradicate all the remains of Canterlot, the only building left was the ruin of the Royal Castle.
