While Twilight was reading ancient pony tales, she discovers and old spell that makes your dreams come true, but there’s a price to pay, your closest friends die in 7 days. Twilight starts to think what that could be, so she decided to try that spell, after all, it’s just an old pony’s tale... Right? She prepares the library for the spell, she draws in the floor symbols and images, Spike gets worried. “Twilight, don’t you think this whole spell thing is... True? I mean... I don’t wanna die, you know?” “Don’t worry, Spike. I got things under control!” “Remember the last time you trusted a tale and it was true? What if this one is real too?” “Spike! I GOT THIS!” Spike takes some distance and just watch Twilight say magical words that he can’t understand. The sky begins to darken, like it was night, but the sun is still up in the sky. A wind hits the library, the symbols on the floor start to shine, Spike hides under the table. Suddenly, a bright light comes out of the floor, Twilight backs off and Spike closes his eyes. When the light starts to vanish, Twilight is completely worried, that spell could be true! His friends may die now! What is she going to do?! “Spike! Spike! Spike, are you alright?!” There is no answer, Twilight’s eyes start to fill up with tears, she runs to the table, flips it over, and find Spike, on the floor, his face was of fear, like he was screaming, his purple color is now in gray, Twilight starts to cry, she couldn’t believe that Spike’s dead, and it’s her fault, she begins to blame herself. “Spike said that I shouldn’t do that spell... HE TOLD ME! And I didn’t listen! I’m a terrible pony! I wish it was me instead of him!!!” Twilight screams in pain and suffer while she hugs his best friend’s body, this could only be a nightmare. Applejack and Rarity were just passing by when they heard Twilight screaming and crying, Applejack kicks the door and Rarity comes in running, they see the library almost destroyed, books on the floor, windows broken, and Twilight, on the floor, hugging Spike. “Twilight, darling! What happened!?” - Asks Rarity. Twilight turns her face and show Spike’s body, the girls start to cry as they come closer to see Spike. Rarity and Applejack cry as they see her old friend’s body, all gray and lifeless. “Twi-Twilight... What in the hay happened...?” Twilight gives no answer, she is shocked from what happened that she can’t even talk. “TWILIGHT!” “I-I... I killed him...” AJ and Rarity start to look at each other, confused, they asked what happened and what did she meant with “I killed him”. “I... I found a spell on a book and I tried to do it... But it killed him... And... And now... You guys will die too... OH CELESTIA, WHAT HAVE I DONE?!” “What the buck do you mean by that!? You are going to kill us?!” - Screams Rarity. “NO...! It’s... It’s the spell... It kills every pony that is close to me in 7 days... It killed Spike first because he was my closest friend... And now it is going to kill every close friend of mine...” “But why in the hay would ya try such spell!?” - Asks AJ. “It said... It said it would make my dreams come true... And now I can make a wish...” “Well... That’s easy! Just ask to everything to get back to normal!” “It’s not that simple, Rarity... You can ask anything, but wishing that you’ve never did this spell... It would be... Too easy...” “But what the hay is WRONG with ya!?” - Screams AJ. Twilight looks at Applejack and sees the hatred in her face. “What...What I...” “NO! Ya don’t say anythin’! What was in ya STUPID head when you did this spell!? If it said “It kills yo buckin’ friends” WHY IN THE HAY WOULD YOU DO IT!?” “The... The wish...” “What the BUCK. You are really THAT selfish!? Now we have to bury Spike, and it’s yo fault!” Rarity takes Spike’s body and hold it, Applejack and Rarity just walk away to the cemetery, leaving Twilight crying on the floor. “I’m...I’m Sorry...” * * * Applejack and Rarity call her friends, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie to a meeting in Rarity's boutique. When they got there, Applejack and Rarity starded to explain what happened, why they called them there, what happened to Spike and what will happen to them. "Are you saying that Twilight used this spell thingy... Killed Spike... And now WE are going to die?!" - Said Rainbow Dash. "I'm afraid so..." - Replied Rarity. Fluttershy starts to cry and Pinkie Pie, with her mane down, hugs her, crying too. "What about the Princess?! We can tell her!" "She's in Saddle Arabia, a 4 days trip..." "Then four of us is going to DIE?!" - Screamed Pinkie Pie. "Let's all calm down, I'm sure we'll figure something out!" At that time, Twilight comes in the room, everypony looks at her, when they looked at her, their look said "You are a monster". "What you think ya'll doin' here?" - Asked Applejack. "I...I... I wanna help..." "We don't need yo help... And talking about that... What was your wish?" "My wish was that when this is all over, I want to this spell take my life, it's all my fault..." Everypony looked at Twilight, but they couldn't waste time, they had to go to Saddle Arabia... It would be a hard trip. They got to the train station and waited for the train, everypony almost crying. The train appears... It's time.
