Chapter 2: Welcome to World war 3
It was a cold night in Pony-Ville and the Timber-Wolves howling wasn't helping Pvt. Avery get some sweet dreams, he had everything he could ever want at this point, a nice bed, a warm home and a loving caretaker but something was missing and Pvt. Avery couldn't put his finger on what it was. As Pvt. Avery drifted off into a weak deep sleep, he woke up in No-Mans land with all his body intact,
"Huh? What? I'm...I'm back in France?" Pvt. Avery said aloud in the cold night, he lifted his shirt and saw his stitching, on his chest and noticed the new threading on his pristine clothes,
"I'm...I'm ALIVE! YES! WOOOHOOO!" Pvt. Avery bellowed at the top of his voice,
"Hmm? Was war das?" a squad of Germans muttered turning around to see Pvt. Avery dancing in the moonlight,
"Ah Shit" Pvt. Avery exclaimed aloud looking at the squad of Germans,
"Tötet ihn, tötet ihn!" the Germans cried firing there weapons as Pvt. Avery sprinted to the nearest British trench, Pvt. Avery tripped on a bit of barb wire and landed face first into the trench floor bit it felt soft and warm, picking up his face he noticed the floor had a lovely carpet, neatly stitched and cleaned,
"Boring you am I?" said a voice from yonder the room, to Pvt. Avery's surprise he was in a room with beautiful crafting and paintings all over the walls with a table positioned in the center of the room with little military figurines on a battle scared landscape but last but very much not least he noticed a leather boot positioned directly in front of his face with the words "Field Marshall Haig" engraved on,
"Oh my god! Field Marshall Haig, sir! I'm terribly sorry, sir!" Pvt. Avery stood to attention and gave a British salute to the Field Marshall,
"At ease, Private. You've been brought here for a very specific reason, do you realize that?" Field Marshall Haig continued on,
"Yes, Sir!" Pvt. Avery obeyed on,
"Good man, now you see, Private I've brought you here to tell you, you need to return back to France, the war ends with you" Field Marshall Haig continued on, Pvt. Avery was confused, he thought he was in France but quickly realized that he was asleep,
"You've got 3 years Pvt. Avery, Get back to France before 1918" Continued Field Marshall Haig.
Awakening in a cold sweat, Pvt. Avery grabbed his gear and burst out his room, sprinting towards the village center, the gentle sound of a cricket rubbing it's legs filled the dark night and Pvt. Avery couldn't see a thing in the dark, the only light source was the moon frequently going behind clouds,
"Maybe if I fire my gun, the fire will at least show me where I am"
"EAT THIS, YOU SONS OF BITCHES!" Pvt. Avery bellowed unleashing his rifle unto the Timber Wolves. The flaming hot bullet coursed through one of the Timber Wolves chests setting it's wooden body alight and finally Pvt. Avery could see what he was shooting, a Timber Wolf made an attempt to leap onto Pvt. Avery's body, Pvt. Avery parried the attack with his bayonet cutting the monsters throat, another Timber Wolf jumped in to the air trying to knock the British Tommy to the forest floor, Pvt. Avery used the butt of his gun to jab it in the chops snapping the beasts jaw, Pvt. Avery pinned the wounded creature by the throat with his foot and delivered a bullet to the Brain of the creature, the soldier couldn't kill all of them though and was knocked down by one of the remaining Timber Wolves,
"Get back! Creatures of the night!" A loud voice arose from the trees using the light from her eyes the blind the Timber Wolves sending them back over the grassy knoll, Pvt. Avery picked himself up wiping the blood from his cheek,
"Guh...Huh? Who are you?" Pvt. Avery said with a challenging expression,
"At ease, Terry Avery! I am not your enemy!" the pony in the bright light shone down upon Pvt. Avery,
"I'm am Princess Luna, ruler of the Night" The Princess said with a comforting smile, how did she know to come and save Pvt. Avery, well that was her job, to protect all her subjects,
"Come, I know what you need" Princess Luna continued taking the soldier under her wing.
Pvt. Avery opened his eyes and saw the beautiful city of Canterlot, the golden flags, the amazing hearths warming eve decorations hung up ever so nicely and of course the Castle of Gods where the rulers of Equestria are born, The gentle pitter patter of Luna's hooves filled the hallway whilst Pvt. Avery's boots marched along like a tank but didn't echo in the slightest, Pvt. Avery saw Princess Celestia as he reached the throne and recognized her as ruler and so proceeded to kneel down in respect, as Luna departed from he side to join her sister Princess Celestia began to speak,
"Rise, Terry Avery, You are safe here" The Princess said ever so gently it would make even the most scared of ponies comfortable,
"Your Majesty, I must thank your sister for saving me in the forest" Pvt. Avery said saluting the Princess, confused by his odd hand gester she looked at him perplexed, It was a British salute where you put your hand to the side of your head portrait ways,
"Oh, uh...Anyway. I notice you are not from this land" Continued the Princess walking over to a small globe placed inside a glass jar,
"Indeed not, I'm from England, your Majesty" Pvt. Avery proceeded on looking at the Princess with a look so blank you could draw a picture on it, The Princess lifted the globe into the air and smashed it down on the ground with a mighty force,
"Do you see any "England" on there?" Princess Celestia went on examining his strange body,
"Cryolorth...Zahariss...Tamerial...Equestria...Arcadia...Saddle Arabia..." Pvt. Avery counted the countries and didn't recognize any of the continents, where was the United Kingdom? Eurasia? Australia? the Americas? Africa? Nowhere to be found, but what about the Pacific Ocean? North and South? The Atlantic? Nope, Gone, Just the Equestiran Plate, and Zarcadian Plate, two giant super continents ruled the planet,
"You are lost, on another world and no hope of returning to your planet" Princess Luna announced to Pvt. Avery's fallen body, he gasped, his face turned pale and he slumped to his knees with tears welling in his eyes, Pvt. Avery realized he couldn't save his dear country or anyone, but maybe he didn't need to he thought to himself, maybe somebody else will stop the war right? Wrong Princess Celestia walked over placing her white wing on his shoulder,
"There maybe is...one way for you to return to Earth" Princess Celestia said gazing into the stain glass window of the 6 ponies using the Elements of harmony to destroy Nightmare Moon, Pvt. Avery's eyes dashed up at the monarch who smiled in return,
"You must use the Elements of Harmony" continued Princess Celestia putting on a more serious look,
"The Elements of Harmony? Alrightyo' then! Where are they?" Pvt. Avery asked Celestia looking around,
"I'll lead you to them" Continued the Princess leading Pvt. Avery outside the palace,
"WHAT?! WHERE ARE THEY?!" gasped Princess Celestia staring into the Empty chest,
"Up there!" Shouted Pvt. Avery pointing at the thieves,
"Who are they? They look like you!" Asked Princess Luna staring at Pvt. Avery turning her head quickly to look back at the humans,
"Oh bloody hell, It's Fritz! Bloody thieving German twats!" Pvt. Avery said chocking his En-field and proceeding to open fire on the German soldiers who had over heard the conversation between Celestia and Pvt. Avery, the Squad had stolen the Elements and where attempting to make there great escape which was quickly foiled by Pvt. Avery's lucky shot piercing the Germans chest, as the injured Hun rag dolled down the tower landing on the bridge with a thud the German limped up and tried to run grabbing his wound to stop the blood,
"OI! Don't let the bugger escape!" Yelled Pvt. Avery sprinting towards the limping foe, Pvt. Avery dived onto the Germans body and delivered a punch straight into Fritz's mouth sending his teeth flying down his throat,
"Alright! How the hell did you get here?!" Pvt. Avery bellowed at the German with his fist at the ready to slam straight into Fritz's gob and with a heavy German accent he spoke,
"Ve are...trying to get home back to Germany...Ve overheard your conversation about the Elements of Harmony" the German uttered under his dying breath before collapsing in Pvt. Avery's arms, Pvt. Avery dropped the body, grabbed his trusty En-field and his Pistol and swung his rucksack around his shoulder and walked in the direction of the Germans in pursuit,
"Hey! Where are you going?!" Princess Luna shouted as Pvt. Avery marched to the edge of the huge bridge,
"I've got to get those Elements backs, Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it with those relics" Pvt. Avery said with a salute and base jumping off the huge bridge into the dark abyss.

Chapter 3: Element of War
The violent swoosh of wind brushed against Pvt. Avery's face as he dashed towards the ground, it felt like the very air around him would catch fire and with a mighty splash Pvt. Avery cut straight through the water like a hot knife through butter. Gasping for air Pvt. Avery breached the surface of the lake and clawed his way out shaking off trying to dry himself, Creeping through the bushes in the early morning darkness and peeked through a little opening seeing a bright light through the leaves,
"What the hell?" Pvt. Avery whispered to himself looking deep into the light, it was a fire burning in a German outpost at the mountain foot beneath Canterlot, a small piece of flaming ember went into the shrub next to him,
"ACHOO!" went a small voice in the shrub, Pvt. Avery's neck snapped towards it like a dog to a piece of ham, slowly creeping up Pvt. Avery clutched his rifle and aimed it towards the shrub, he reached out his sweaty palm and grabbed the shrub tearing the leaves off, to his surprise he saw a Rainbow mane, a baby blue body and some magneto eyes gazing up into his Hazel eyes,
"What the?! Who the hell are you?!" Pvt. Avery exclaimed jolting backwards landing on his back,
"Me? I'm Rainbow Dash! The greatest flyer in all of Equestria!" Rainbow Dash said doing a loopty loop into the air, Pvt. Avery was silent as he stared up at her in bewilder,
"Best flyer in all of Equestria, seems like a bit of a brag worthy title...Wait, why are you here?" Pvt. Avery asked the hovering Pegasus,
"Oh, um" Rainbow Dash stuttered scratching her Rainbow mane, there attention darted over to a nearby sound that sounded like a boot stamping through a shrub, "Get down!" Pvt. Avery commanded with his finger signals as a German scout had popped out for a smoke. Pvt. Avery accompanied by Rainbow Dash lay down together in the tall grass will the barrel of the Enfield poked out the side, the German soldier was looking around with a fag in his mouth staring up into the silver moon and dreaming of returning home, there was a rustle, a "gerrof!" and one startled German staring at the gleam of an Enfield barrel in the moonlight, Pvt. Avery had no choice, he was compromised and delivered a single bullet to the Germans left lung, trying to scream his lungs filled with blood silencing him,
"That was SO AWESOME!" Rainbow Dash squealed pushing her cheeks together, the two rushed to grab the body, surely the other soldiers had heard the bang...oh, and so they had, the alerted Germans were already aiming there Semi-Auto's at the man and the pony,
"Put your weapon down! DO IT NOW!" Shouted the German Sgt.,
"If you've got a plan, I hope this is part of it Terry!" Rainbow Dash whispered to Pvt. Avery,
"Of course it is" Pvt. Avery responded aloud, but was quickly silenced as he was smashed across the face with the butt of a Germans gun, he fell and was caught by Rainbow Dash,
"Really?" Rainbow Dash asked once again with Pvt. Avery lying in her arms.
"*Grunt* No" Pvt. Avery grunted quietly rubbing his cheek,
"So...A British soldier has made it to ze new vorld?" the German Commander introduced aiming his revolver at the British Tommy,
"Good evening, Fritz...Hows the war going?" Pvt. Avery said smugly trying not to show fear. The German Commander clicked his revolver and shot Pvt. Avery in the foot as he'd just picked himself up,
"ARRRG!" Pvt. Avery cried falling onto the grassy knoll panting and clutching his bloody foot,
"My Name is Adull Von Galeheart, Commander Galeheart to you though, Private" Cmdr. Galeheart boasted on,
"Now ve are short on food in this new land, which we vill claim to Germany, and we need to pick off soldiers in our camp to...Keep us sustained?" Cmdr. Galeheart explained bringing Pvt. Avery to his feet,
"I am a noble man, and vill give you a fair chance to keep your life. Do you know how to play Russian Roulette?" Cmdr. Galeheart whispered into Pvt. Avery's ear standing on his bloody foot.
Later the two had been dragged back to the German camp were around 40 soldiers had gathered around the wooden table as Pvt. Avery, Cpl. Gevuara and Sgt. Talarchik had gathered for a game of Russian Roulette, the dreaded revolver was slammed down on the table with the violent roar of Germans being silenced, "PLAY" was bellowed sharply and the revolver was spun, the first spin landed on...Sgt. Talarchik who picked up the gun, aimed it at his head and clicked...Nothing, just a cheer from the German crowd in relief that a friend had survived, "PLAY" was sharply bellowed again and the revolver was spun a second time...It landed on Pvt. Avery, a cheering uproar filled the air as everyone beckoned Pvt. Avery to shoot himself, his sweaty palm grasped the revolver and he slowly lifted it to his head and...*Click!*...Nothing, another blank but now the cheer had gone into a furious cry. The third time it also landed on Pvt. Avery, *Click!* Nothing! Are there any bullets in this damn thing?
"ENOUGH!" Shouted a nearby German picking up the revolver looking into it's barrel, maybe there's something jamming it? No, Pvt. Avery's young but not stupid, he's jolting the Gun backwards and making the clicking noise with his tongue, unbelievably it's actually working, here was Pvt. Avery's chance to escape this nightmare, Pvt. Avery punched the Revolver forward into the Germans eye, snatched the Revolver and aimed it at all the unarmed soldiers,
"AH!" The British Soldier gasped as he tried walking backwards but his foot was in no condition to even stand, everyone stood there staring at the soldier grasping his leg and to make matters worse, the silence was broken by a sniper shot swiping past Pvt. Avery's ear, he was surrounded with nothing but a gun that may or may not have blanks loaded...all hope seemed lost, it SEEMED so but as quick as a flash, WHOOSH! A Rainbow Trail snatched Pvt. Avery and carried him off into the dawns early light,
"What the?! Who's that?! Rainbow Dash?!" Pvt. Avery cried as he soared up into the sky,
"YEP! Sure is!" Rainbow Dash replied with an excited look on her face with the wind flowing in her mane, but suddenly a violent SWOOSH Snipped past Pvt. Avery's head and imbedded itself in Rainbow Dash's wing,
"YOWCH!" the Pegasus squealed as the two started spiraling down into the mountain side, they screamed in terror as they were falling uncontrollably to a cliff face, there was a loud THUD! And then...nothing...the morning breeze flowed as normal with the regular sun rising over the horizon and the moon vanishing bellow it.
Blurs filled Pvt. Avery's vision as the only thing recognizable was the color blue, tightly closing his eyes and groaning Pvt. Avery opened them again trying to unblur reality, with everything solidifying, Pvt. Avery looked directly forward, he could feel his back on the ground with some leaves down his shirt for some reason all he could see is blue, light blue to be specific, suddenly the blue object moved and revealed a comfortable smile, it was Rainbow Dash, sleeping on top of his body, he tried to move but the two were tangled in a vine,
"Mmmm...No, Mom...Five more minutes..." Rainbow Dash groaned nudging her head slightly,
"Get off...my face..." Pvt. Avery said sternly,
"Huh? What? Oh, Morning, sweet cheeks" Rainbow Dash said with a smile,
"Oh sod off" Pvt. Avery said blushing, he was at least making an effort to wriggle his was out of the vine,
"Woah there buddy! Slow down!" A voice said from yonder, Pvt. Avery looked around to try and see who the voice belonged to, but the two of there heads where tangled and neither could budge,
"Don't worry there pal! I'll cut that there vine of yers!" the voice said again as the sound of a knife unsheathing sharply cut the air, a vine snapped and Pvt. Avery pushed Rainbow Dash off his body, they looked up and saw a man garbed in green with a flag on is arm with 48 stars and 13 stripes, it was a noble American soldier holding his trusty Double Barrel Shotgun and saluting Pvt. Avery,
"Names Private Taylor of the United States Military!" the Soldier said with a spring in his step,
"Ah, thank you. Nice to see a friendly face...Wait, I thought the Americans were staying out of the war? And how did you get here?" Pvt. Avery asked not sure weather this man was friend or foe,
"Good point, Americans went on the western front in April 1917! Yep, sure was hell for those Frenches and those British guys all gettin' shot to pieces by a German machine gun! Also how I got here? Don't rightly know, I thought I got shot in the battlefield" Pvt. Taylor said with a proper South Carolinian drawl.
After a particularly foot wrenching hike round the mountain side they made it to the American outpost with a flag raised proud and clear to state the American glory,
"So, you found somebody else here in this new land eh, Pvt.? Well, just how do we get back home, Terry Avery?" The American Commander questioned popping a cigar in his mouth.

Chapter 4: Opertation Omega
The morning sun stood proud and bright in the glazing blue
"All right men here's the plan, Alpha team will breach and
"Good luck everyone" Said a Captain before blowing his
"Call Bravo team back" Requested Pvt. Avery putting his hand
"What? Why?" Gnrl. Pershing questioned Pvt. Avery's
"We both know that were using them as pawns to draw the
"Get this man out of here, NOW!" Pvt. Avery bellowed at the
"But he's just a Private, there's no point in saving a pr-"
"HE'S A GOD DAMN HUMAN BEING NOW GET YOUR HEAD OUT YOUR ARSE
"Vat now, English fellow?" A German voice smugly announced,
"FROM MY PARTY CANNON!" Pinkie Pie screamed with a giggle
"I sure did!" Pinkie Pie skipped over to Pvt. Avery's side
"Hee hee! Hi, My name is Pinkie Pie and I brought ALL my
"Erm, Alright? I'm looking for the Elements of Harmony, can
"Good Idea, let's go, Pinkie!" Pvt. Avery said grabbing his
"Don't worry, I'll open it with my Pinkie sense!" Pinkie Pie
"Pinkie! Get you friends out of here with the Elements, I'll catch up, I've got to send these Germans packing" Pvt. Avery said whipping out a small service bomb that was placed in his bag,
"Get those Americans home!" Pvt. Avery shouted to Pinkie as she ran out the tent with the Elements in Pvt. Avery's bag. Walking out the tent he saw all of the Ponies running, luckily everpony had made it out with a few scuffed elbows but still in one piece, he carried the service bomb over to the center with a voice calling from multiple directions,
"You think saving the Americans...Is noble?" the voice chattered, Pvt. Avery flinched looking around for the voice,
"You think you can win this war?" the voice tormented him again,
"SHUT UP!" Pvt. Avery screamed reaching for the detonate button before getting shot in the spine,
"ARG!" the British soldier screamed dropping the bomb, out of the smoke, Galeheart walked out loading his magnum, Pvt. Avery groaned dragging himself along looking up to see the German commander,
"uuurhg...Galeheart..." He Grunted pulling himself closer to the bomb, just 2 meters away Pvt. Avery collapsed with a heavy loss of blood,
"Weak Briton...Soon, Russia will be mine..." Cmdr. Galeheart gloated walking away, Practically blind with maybe enough blood inside him to fill a byro Pvt. Avery looked up with the bomb in his colorless vision, Pvt. Avery reached for his wound and pinched the bullet in his back using what strength he had left to try and remove it, writhing with pain, slowly and painfully Pvt. Avery continued to pull the bullet out with blood trickling down his back, he gasped with tears in his eyes as he finally had removed the bullet from his dead flesh, he looked at his "United Kingdom Military" signature on his arm one last time before throwing the bullet at the bomb causing it to detonate.

In the Dark murky trenches filled with death and the horrid stench of rotting bodies, with the left over liquid muster gas shells lying in the mud as the rain poured into the shell holes filling them to there very brims, this was France 1915 and in these dark times of war between France, Russia and Britain vs. Germany, the still cold November air drifted in over no mans land, freezing the fingers of the soldiers as they stood in the frozen puddles with there En-fields at the ready just in case anything decides to move,
"Not a lot out there tonight eh lads?" whispered one soldier to his fellow squad,
"Shut your gob, private" replied the sergeant of the squad holding his rifle close to chest,
"We've intercepted a bit of Intel from the Hun, lads" said the sergeant reading a letter in the moonlight,
"Says we'll be making another push tomorrow 10:00 sharp, so get your arses to bed and get some rest. The next squad will scout for the rest of the night" Continued the sergeant as the squad proceeded back into the trenches to retreat from the cold mist. The soldiers all knew of their fate in the morning, it was either get gunned down by a German machine gun, or get a court martial for cowardice so the men needed to stay and fight, most of them where only 18, 19 or even 16, they where very young and needed to lie to get into these trenches but they soon joining the local regiment was a terrible idea, Pvt. Wilkins had arrived from Cambridge in December 1914, Cpl. George had arrived from Liverpool in March 1915 and last but not least was young Pvt. Avery who was just 16 years of age and had signed up to try and escape his life back in England, he'd seen this war now and thought it was hell, as he drifted off into a weak slumber he whispered to himself,
"Please take me to someplace peaceful, Not England, Not here either...Somewhere new and happy".
The very next morning all soldiers stood at arms, Loading there rifles and the commanders loading there revolvers, it was dead silence in the trenches and the soldiers quivering in fear at what may happen next,
"Good luck everyone" encouraged the captain to his squad before he blew his whistle. All the men charged forward unleashing a terrific battle cry with responding gun fire from the German guns as the British artillery blasted out heavy shells exploding the dugouts with rifles and pistols blasting out rounds at a fast rate, it was as if an Earthquake was going on with all the bombs uprooting the dirt and muddy water,
"THERE FLOORING PRETTY DAMN HARD! WHEN THERE GUNS OVERHEAT WE GO FOR AN ATTACK!" bellowed a sergeant making an attempt to address his squad but the guns and explosions drowned him out pretty quick, some soldiers sat there in bewilder at the sprinting troops as they had been hit by shell shock, the bodies hit the ground with a thud as the machine gun fire had torn them up, Pvt. Avery was crouching behind an old wall as it was pelted with gun fire,
"ARG!" he cried as the bullet pierced the cover and smashed his gun barrel,
"FUCK!" he exclaimed running to the body of a fallen ally to try and take his weapon, he turned his head as he heard the battle cry of a German running at him with a knife and responded by grabbing the En-field from the fallen soldiers hand and slicing through the Germans throat with a bayonet, the German cried in pain as blood began to pour from his mouth and the wound in his throat, Pvt. Avery saw his squad calling him into a old abandoned German dugout and quickly made a dash for it, Machine gun fire pelted the ground around him as he leaped over huge craters left by the Artillery cannons, he continued to sprint across the live battle field but in a attempt to jump a large crater a machine gun round blasted through his skin and into his heart,
"GUH!" Pvt. Avery grunted as he hit the ground,
"Uh...Gah...Please...Take me someplace peaceful..." Pvt. Avery panted rolling into a crater as his vision blurred into a colorless picture, he passed out.

Chapter 1: British Tommy or Equestrian Pony
The gentle rhythm beat of a heart was starting to come into feeling, the static fuzz of a television set was whispering through Pvt. Avery's brain,
"Huh? What's going on? Where am I? I was just in No-Mans land and I...Alright, No time to panic let's try moving the left leg" Pvt. Avery thought to himself making a attempt to move his leg, but there was no response,
"Alright...Legs gone...Let's try opening our eyes now..." he once again thought to himself trying to open his eyelids with the sleep snapping out of his eyelashes, he was too weak, he couldn't bring his eyes to open,
"OK, OK, don't panic, let's put all our effort into it..." he thought to himself yet again, his eyes slowly flickered open with a bright white light filling his eye retina, everything was blurred and out of focus, he couldn't recognize anything, but still moved his eyes around to try and focus,
"easy now! Take it slowly! Good, Very good!" muffled voice encouraged him, a white hoof closed in between Pvt. Avery's eyes, suddenly the blur began to focus and it all turned into solid shapes,
"Oh it's just a field hospital...with a white horse...in a nurse cap...and a cross on it's flank...and this hospital is a lot cleaner than regular field hospitals" Pvt. Avery said to himself slightly confused. Pvt. Avery continued to look around and noticed his chest was banded up also looking around to see who spoke to him just a moment ago,
"You took quite a bullet there!" cheerfully exclaimed the Pony Nurse moving to Pvt. Avery's bedside table, Pvt. Avery would've jolted backwards but his paralyzed limbs kept him from budging an inch but his seamless expression was all to noticeable,
"You...You can talk?!" Pvt. Avery exclaimed with a jaw drop but to his attention, he noticed ALL the Doctors and Nurses and even the patients were Ponies,
"Uh...Yeah, of course I can. How else would I have became a Nurse?" The Pony Nurse continued on and noticed how the human man couldn't grasp the concept of a Pony not only talking but working a full time job,
"Your accent...I'm in America? Or perhaps I'm back in Britain with a American horse?" Pvt. Avery responded to the Nurse giving her a perplexed look on her face,
"Where's America? Whats Britain?" The Pony Nurse questioned rubbing her head and looking at a map of the planet on a magazine perched on the stool next to the bedside table,
"Oh please...The British Empire covers quarter of the friggin' globe!" Pvt. Avery said rolling his eyes at the Nurse with a smug look on his face,
"Hmm, Well sorry! Never heard of them! Anyway I need to take down your home information so I know where to send you once you've recovered" the Nurse gleefully said changing the subject,
"Uh...Britain, England, London on King Street-" Continued Pvt. Avery trying to remember his home he paused as the Nurse cut him off,
"Hang on...Where, Where and where?" the Nurse said confused leaving Pvt. Avery seamless once again,
"You don't have a home...Do you?" The Nurse continued on, Pvt. Avery shook his head looking at the picture of the planet on the magazine and didn't recognize any of the countries,
"Very well, I'll find somepony to take you in for your recovery Mr. um?" the Nurse asked Pvt. Avery looking at her clipboard,
"Oh Avery, Terry Avery" he replied to the Nurse.
Later on that day the Nurse went of in pursuit of a caretaker and thought to herself who could be a caring pony for a new never before seen creature, she stamped her hoof and exclaimed "Fluttershy!" The Nurse smiled as she ran over to the timid pony's cottage placed dangerously close the ever dangerous Ever-free forest.
"Oh, A new species? How wonderful!" Fluttershy exclaimed in her quiet gentle voice and flapping her wings in glee,
"Yes! It's not pony nor is it a wild animal, just uh...don't be scared by it OK?" explained the Nurse to Fluttershy trotting out her gate back to the hospital,
"Uhg! You simply can't were this mess for a second more!" bellowed Rarity in disgust holding up the muddy, ripped and bloodstained Military Uniform and not to mention the fact it smelled like it'd been worn for 50 days without wash, Pvt. Avery realized he'd been stripped in his sleep in a attempt to wash his clothing,
"OI! What the bloody hell do you think you're doing?!" cried Pvt. Avery in embarrassment covering himself under the sheets,
"I suppose it'll need to be repaired since it's the only clothing designed for your kind, oh well! I shall fix up this horrid thing!" Rarity sighed getting to work with her stitching next to the bed. Many minutes later after Rarity had spick and spanned up Pvt. Avery's clothes Fluttershy had made it to the hospital with the Nurse,
"Well? How do I look?" Pvt. Avery asked Rarity giving a royal salute, his boots shined with brand new stitching, his clothes were soft and the green looked as good as new, his body and hair had been cleaned entirely with his rucksack stitched as well,
"Absolutely dazzling! I say, you can be my regimental soldier any day!" Rarity said with a friendly giggle,
"Alright! Here he is!" introduced the Nurse walking round the corner with Fluttershy, at first Fluttershy's expression was blank, she'd never seen a Human being before and Pvt. Avery turned around, raised his salute and smiled his shiny white teeth,
"Oh...my..." Fluttershy nervously said cowering under her pink mane, Pvt. Avery seemed so tall to her, he was only roughly about 6.7 tall but it was almost as tall as a bear but she had experience with bears,
"Pvt. Avery at your service, Ma'am!" Pvt. Avery proceeded clicking his heels together and straightening his posture, and Pinkie Pi-
"OH MY GOSH! Are you excited? I've never been so excited well except for this one time I went *GASP* but really what could top that?!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie jumping around the hospital blasting confetti all over the place, the awkward silence was broken by the Nurse clearing her throat then announcing
"Yes well um...We've got more patients on the way so I guess you should be going!" the Nurse said leading them out the front door. Walking down the streets of Pony-ville wasn't to pleasant for Pvt. Avery as everypony stared at him asking themselves "What in Equestria is that?" but ignoring them he proceeded to chat to Fluttershy's friends on the way to her cottage,
"So when did you come to Equestria" asked Fluttershy with a cheerful smile,
"Erm...I say now that is a bit of a boggler..." responded Pvt. Avery scratching his head in bewilder as memories of the trenches flooded back into his head,
"Oh well, I've got some nice soup at my cottage, you should try it, Oh! If you're OK with that..." Fluttershy whispered cowering under her pink mane once again. Once settled down in Fluttershy's cottage all Pvt. Avery sat down at the oak wood table opposite Fluttershy,
"So...uh...Have you always lived in Pony-ville?" stammered Pvt. Avery trying to break the awkward silence in the dining room,
"Oh, um...No...I was born in Clouds-dale with Rainbow Dash..." Fluttershy responded nervously flicking her hair out of her eyes,
"Well as you can see, I've never been in this country before, I was raised in London, and moved to Warwickshire for a small segment of my life to try and find my brother, my dad got me a scholarship in Cambridge University and then I left to join the Kings Army!" Pvt. Avery continued,
"Oh, what did you do in the army?" Fluttershy asked slurping her soup,
"Well..." Pvt. Avery proceeded transcending into memory.
1914, England, Liverpool, Liverpool Barracks, 14:32
"Grow some bollocks, lad!" bellowed the drill sergeant straight into my ear hole as I tried to remove the bayonet from the sack of hay, it was tough and wet hay and I couldn't possibly pull the knife from his stomach, bloody horrible bastard that Drill Sergent was, I was only 15 and they were already shipping me to France, I thought the war was only going to last 'till November and then I'd go home plus I was rather fond of the rule "Under no circumstance should the enemy carry guns" but that rule was quickly dropped in the first big push when the last platoon got turned into a bullets and bayonets sandwich. Hah, the most amazing time of that war was by far the great Christmas truce of 1914, we could hear Silent Night drifting in over the still, clear air of no Mans-land, and then we saw the Germans lowering there weapons and we did the very same, we all gathered and sang that night and had the most wonderful game of footy you'd ever seen, I was never too good at footy unfortunately but no matter. The war seemed over as I'd suspected, but our commanders came back and ordered us to fight, those who disagreed would suffer death by firing squad and well...that just goes to show how horrid life was back in the trenches, in 1915 we were once again invited to a mass slaughter all I remember was seeing all my fellow soldiers getting ripped to pieces by the German guns, the western front was getting closer to Berlin, Germany but only about a inch a day. I was running, no sprinting as fast as I could to reach a small collapsed building for cover...but a lucky machine gun shot got me right in the chest and somehow...here I am!
"Oh my goodness! That's horrible..." Fluttershy whispered in her gentle voice once again, she noticed how he was looking down at his food with a grim expression,
"You must miss England something terrible hmm?" Fluttershy said in a gentle manner,
"Whilst my farther is a judging man, yes I do miss my dear England, her swooping swallow, the mighty empire..." Pvt. Avery yearned on looking up at Fluttershy.
Never Bring a pony to a gunfight
Date: 1919, 1st of May
"A new found land...it was perfect...peace and harmony for all creatures...and because of one man...i couldn't bring war to it, Britain, France, Russia and America would be slaughtered day after day...Yet you still fight because you know that deep down evil never wins, perhaps it's because power isn't something we can get with brute force, we are Germans, we are not monsters, we were blinded by a hunger for power, we see it was wrong to cause so much death and pain for nothing but defeat...and maybe one day...Earth can become like that mystical land...free of war and oppression"
Date: 1918, 10th of November
"Urrrhg...Huh? What? Where am I?" asked Pvt. Avery with a inner peace so beautiful it could put a star-filled sky to shame,
"You are in the realm of Harmony, Terry Avery, Twilight and her friends brought you here with the Elements of Harmony, it is were spirits go when there physical bodies die, this is the true realm of peace" Princess Celestia said with a voice like silk,
"But...Why am I here? Am I dead?" Pvt. Avery asked once again noticing his wounds had healed and he was no longer in pain,
"You are not dead, Your physical body still lives along with all the other humans brought here too, we will send you were you are truly needed" Princess Luna finished before creating a bright light with her sister,
"Good luck Terry Avery!" the two sisters said before sending Pvt. Avery into a Rainbow whirlpool and spinning him back to Earth.
Date: 1918, 11th of November
All the soldiers stood in the murky trenches...this was it, the day the world could kiss this war goodbye,
"Nervous, Private?" Said the Captain holding his whistle at the ready,
"No, Sir. We can achieve anything, with Harmony on our side"
