It'll be alright, when daddy comes home tonight.
"Rainbow Dash?"
Groggily, the small filly sat up in her cloud bed, the Wonderbolts blanket sliding from around her shoulders and down her body. looking around her small room she spotted the source of her awakening.
"Daddy?"
The alabaster stallion smiled down at his daughter in her bed. The filly looked back, her eyes wide with curiosity.
"I take it that I woke you? Hope that's not a problem."
"Its cool dad. umm...is there something you wanted?"
The Pegasus slowly let his smile slide into a stoic guard expression. He was dreading this and he would regret it afterwards as well.
"I've got a duty call, Rainbow. I'm going to be going tonight. I just didn't think that...well...you would like to wake up and find me gone."
With a flutter of small wings and a leap from her bed, Rainbow Dash landed at her dad's hoofs and looked up into his rosy eyes, a trait she shared with him. He looked back, switching to smiling again.
"Whats a duty call? Why are you going? Why do you have to go now?"
