Luna's Beginning.

One mystical morning, on the verge of twilight, a beautiful filly princess was born. Her name is Luna, and little did the filly know, one day she'd be responsible for one of the most important tasks of all: raising and setting the moon. After about four years and much growing, Luna's mother (Time) and father (Space) called her into their room to talk about her royal duties to be.
"My dearest child, as you know," started her mother. "your sister has been responsible for raising the sun in the mornings, and setting the sun at the beginning of every night."
"Yes, I do." Luna said.
"Then as you know, some day in the next couple years, you will take over my duty of raising, and lowering the moon each night." Explained her mother.
"Yes, I know mother, I am very exited."
"Though in the beginning, I'll probably have your sister help you, or I'll help you the first couple of weeks."
"Alright, thank you for trusting me with such an important task."
"You've no need to thank me, it is your destiny, what you were born for. Now Luna, I'm about to raise the moon, so get ready for bed dearest. I love you, good night Luna, don't let the bed bugs bite."
"Good night mom, I love you too, sleep well." Said Luna, placing a warm hug about her mothers neck, then casually galloped out of the room.
As the years moved on Luna became wiser, and her magic grew stronger. Then came the day the filly's parents called forth the lovely princess to try and raise the moon for the first time. That day as the sun was beginning to set, Luna and her older sister Celestia set out to lower the sun and raise the moon. Luna tried with all her might to bring forth the moon, with time and a little help from Celestia, the moon glided over the horizon and subsided in the sky. The fillies jumped we glee as they adored their hard work. This night was exceptionally beautiful, due to the fact that during the day the weather ponies had scheduled snow. Though that night, they whisked the clouds away, to reveal a beauteous moon, that sparkled off the fresh blanket of fluffy snow.
As the days and weeks moved on, Luna became more and more independent. Training and becoming more powerful in her magical abilities. By day she would have her mother help augment her magical abilities. But by night she'd consult with her sister about how hard it is to raise the sun, and set the sun.
"Sister how hard is it to raise the sun?" Asked Luna.
"Actually Luna, with the right training it is fairly easy to do both of these tasks, as well as to do the same to the moon." Replied Celestia.
"I see." Said the starry eyed little princess. "When can I raise the moon on my own?" Asked Luna. Celestia's reply was,
"little sister, some day soon there will be a day that you can feel, not only in your heart but in your mind that you are ready."
"Alright.” said the awe struck filly.
The days seemed to take forever to Luna, who waited hour after hour to be able to see her beautiful night once again. Each day Luna could feel the urge to raise the moon by herself, building, just like Celestia said she would. After about three weeks she was positive she could do it, that she could bring forth her beautiful moon all by herself. That day on the verge of twilight, Luna set out to perform her daily duty, only this day she asked her sister if she could raise the moon by herself. To which Celestia after thinking it over agreed. So, as Celestia started lowering the sun, Luna started raising the moon, so it could reside in its rightful place in the enticing night sky.
That night while Luna was taking her nightly bath, she noticed something on her flank. After she had dried off, she ran into her parents bedroom, jumped onto their bed, and raised her flank to the sky. After two very confused looks, her parents smiled and said their congratulations.
"You've finally done it" called her mother, as Luna galloped out of the room. Next she ran around the bend in the hall, only to run into her older sisters flank.
"What are you doing?" Asked Celestia, who whirled around to see her sister laying on the floor, rubbing her nose.
"I finally did it, sorry I ran into you, I'm just so happy." Said the little filly which had an elated tone in her voice.
"Did what?" Questioned Celestia. Luna then proceeded to show her sister her cutie mark. With a smile on her face she said. "Congratulations little sister, I'm so proud of you."
After a couple weeks, Luna started realizing, that the ponies living in her parents lands played during her sister beautiful days. Yet slept through her beautiful nights. This enraged the filly, allowing her to invite hate into her heart. One day on the midst of night, whilst walking through the royal gardens, the young filly overheard two of the gardens keepers speaking about a meteor shower that was supposed to start soon after night fall set. "Max, would you like to come with me and a couple friends tonight to watch the meteor shower tonight? Asked a middle aged mare.
"Why I'd love to Jenapher, thanks for inviting me." Replied Max. "How many others will be there?” Questioned Max. Jenapher replied with,
"there will be ten to twenty ponies there that I know of, all close friends and acquaintances of mine. Also, if we get bored at the get together, there are many other parties going on tonight that we could attend."
"Sounds delightful." Said Max with a smile upon his lips. This information excited the purple filly greatly, oh how happy she was to find that on special night like this one, that ponies all over the land would stay up for hours on end to marvel about her night sky. This pushed that hate that was in her heart out, and replaced it with love for her fellow subjects.
