Glenn was making his bed so he could call it a night. Then an unexpected knock came from the front of the tent. "Sergeant, its me Morris I wish to speak with you." Glenn stood upstrait "Please come in." Glenn said. The fifty year old stepped inside. "How you doin sergeant?" Morris asked. "I'm fine sir, you?" Glenn asked back. "I'm not doin so fine, yesterday we had some marines go awall on took some supplies that we need." Glenn cleared his throught. "You do know what your asking me right?" Glenn asked hesintaly. "Yes I know but as of now I think your the only one sober enough to do something about it." "Ahhh, I see so I wasnt to be your first choice. Correct?" "Yes, so will you do it?" Glenn sighed. "First thing in the morning sir, I'll get your supplys back, not sure about the men." "Great, thank you sergeant, sleep tight." Morris then exited the tent.

Glenn got inside his rack and fell fast asleep.

The sound of a trumpet going off in the distance was heard. Glenn's eyes shot open at the sound. He sat up on his rack then cracked his back followed by his knuckles. He quickly got dressed in his BDU's. "Long day ahead of us." Glenn said sarcasticly. He stepped out side of his tent only to be met with an alarm going off and some marines running to fall in, while the others went to mount their vehicles. Glenn saw the sergeant major walk by. "Hey sergeant major what the hell is going on?" Glenn asked. "We just recieved orders from command they want us to move out and take that village you were in yesterday." "Rally what are we going to do there?" "Clear it out, O.N.I thinks its important. Oh yeah Morris wants to speak with you." "Alright sounds good, catch you later." Glenn said slapping the sergeant major's back twice and then running to head qaurters. Glenn ran across the base dodging some of the humvees that were going about. Glenn reached the door and knocked twice. A voice came from the inside. "Come in." Glenn stepped in to see Colonel Morris sitting down at his desk and two of the agents in black he encountered earlier. Morris looked up from his paperwork. "Sergeant please take a seat." He said pointing his hand at the chair infront of him. Glenn sat down as one of the agents opened his breif case. "Sergeant there is an understanding between us right?" one of the agents asked. "Yeah what of it?" Glenn questioned. "Colonel Morris here has begun operation scorched earth."

"Um okay."

"He has also asked you to go after some marines am I right?"

"Yes."

"Well we want you to postpone that, because we need you to be part of this op. So can we trust you?"

"Yes you can trust me."

"Splended, you will be on convoy one which leaves in one minute."

Glenn nodded and headed towards the door.

Glenn walked towards the first humvee. The marines inside checking thier weapons gave Glenn a nasty look. Glenn shook his head and walked towards the second humvee. There was a marine sitting in his chair and reading a book. Glenn stood infront of him. The marine looked up with his round glasses. "Ah hllo sir." He looked down a bit "I mean sergeant." Glenn smirked.

"This ride taken private?"

"Uh no sergeant, I need a gunner if your interested?"

"Alright great." He said pulling his feet back inside the humvee. Then the sergeant major walked up behind Glenn tapping him on his shoulder. Glenn turned his head.

"Find a ride sergeant?"

"His mamma know he's playing marine?"

"Hells do I know. Semper fi!" The sergeant major said pounding Glenn's rank into his collar bone. "Ura!" Glenn said turning back to the humvee and opening the back door. Glenn mounted the gun and then looked down at the private. "HEY you okay buddy?" The private stopped rambling about the steps if you get caught in a sittuation. "Uh yes sir, I mean yes sergeant." Glenn nudged him with his boot. "Hey its alright we all gett first mission jitters, just start the humvee and lets get going, looks like we'll be leaving soon." The private turned his attention back to the front and started the engine. The convoy started to move roughly fifteen seconds after the engine started. The convoy moved down the crudley made road that would eventually reach a clearing that had a smooth road to travell on. The humvee rocked side to side going over the bumps and rocks on the road. Glenn kept scaning the tree line off to the right of the humvee. The forest looked dark beyond the tree lines. The radio buzzed. "Clearing up ahead." The convoy stopped and two marines stepped out of the first humvee. They reholsterd their rifles and started to clear a camoflauge baricade. Two minutes later they headed back to the convoy. The convoy moved relitivley faster but still slow in its own way. The humvees made thier way up a small hill that lead to the main road. The convoy turned left and sped down the road.

Once the convoy reached the village it was a ghost town. All the marines in the back seats of the humvees got out and scanned the area. One pointed to the roofs. "Keep an eye out on the roofs, dont want afghanistan again do we?" Most of the marines pointed their gun's to the roof tops. Glenn swiviled the macine gun and scanned the roofs.Out of no where a bolt of blue energy shot out off the roof tops and nailed a marine in the head. Glenn turned his gun around and started shooting at the attacker. Glenn's gun set off something no one was prepared for. All the technicolored ponys ran out of their homes and were caught by the marines who fired at them. More bolts of multiple colors were being shot at the convoy. Glenn looked down to see the private keeping his head down from all the bolts that dissapated upon hitting the steel parts of the humvee. "GET THIS THING ROLLING PRIVATE!" Glenn yelled down at the driver. Glenn looked back up to see the surviving marines get back inside their vehicles and spread out in random directions. "LETS GO DAMNIT!" Glenn said looking back down at the driver. Taking a good look Glenn saw blood dripping off his hands and down the steering wheel. Glenn ducked down as a bolt hit the side of his gun. Glenn got back in the compartment and puled the private into the back seat. Glenn then got in the drivers seat. Noticing that the glass had a hole in it, Glenn reajusted himself and pushed the glass off with his foot. Glenn floored it and picked a random path to go. After half a minute of driving it was silent. As he rounded a corner he had to slam on the brakes nearly hitting another humvee on its side. Glenn got out and didnt close the door. He jumped up to see inside but no one was there. "pssst, hey buddy get down. Tangos on the roof top." Glenn dropped down and took cover behind the humvee. "Where are you?" Glenn whispered.

"Alley way gate."

"How many of you left?"

"Just us three. The bastards got Jefferson."

"Alright I'm coming over." Glenn said as he peeked his head around the corner and instantly saw three tangos on the roof. Glenn stood up and sprinted ten feet to the gate. He slammed his body on the wall. Abruptly it started to rain and the sky darkened. Glenn huddled with the others. "You have a radio?" Glenn asked.

"Yeah but its no use, thing wouldnt work."

"Here let me have a looksy at it."

"Dont have it on me, we left it in the humvee."

"Damn, do you think you can go and get it Lance Corpral?"

He looked out on the street at the tangos. He took a deep breath and bolted to the back of the humvee. The lance corpral looked over the humvee. Satisfied that the tangos on the roof didnt see him he pulled himself on top of the vehicle and took the crouch position. He opened the door ever so slowly but it creaked as he opened it. Moving into the prone position he put his upper body inside. Seconds later he pulled himself out with the radio in tow. He slid off the humvee and crept his way back to us. A fizzing sound could be heard. The lance corpral turned his body to the left and then a flash of green hit him. The radio dropped out of his hand and near the alley way. Glenn reached out for the radio and pulled it out of the rain. "Cover me." Glenn said as he ran out to the downed marine. The other two came out and started shooting at the tangos. Glenn pulled the lance corpral into the alley. "Fall back in here!" The two marines ran back to the alley. Glenn put the marine out of the rain to acess the wound. "Do any of you have a light?" Glenn asked. One of the marines handed him a flashlight. "Alright here hold this yoohoo." The marine took the flash light and turned it on and pointed it at the wound. His mid section was basicly gone. Blood filled up his wound. Some of his organs were still there. Glenn took off his ruck sack and pulled out alot of gauss bandages and some pads. He started to clean up the blood around the wound which in turn just started to spill out again. Glenn felt a hand grasp his arm. Glenn looked at the marine who had blood dripping from his mouth and his teeth was covered in the crimson liquid. He tried to talk but ended up choking on his own blood. His head fell back slowley before his helmet touched the ground. Glenn reached down into his shirt and removed his dogtags. He placed them inside his pocket and closed the lance corpral's eyes. "May god rest your soul." Glenn said standing up. The marine turned off the light and picked up the radio.  Glenn took it from him and opened it. One of the wires was knocked out of place. Glen then put the wire back into the hole. After a second the radio came to life. Glenn picked up the mic. "What is the callsign?" Glenn asked the marine to his left.  "Here may I use it?" The marine asked. Glenn handed him the radio.

"Henry 2-1 to command."

"This is command we read you."

"Command marine forces in the area have been split, our sqaud has two K.I.A's and the others are unknown. Copy?"

"Copy that Henry 2-1 we air sending air support and soar birds to your area. Copy?"

"Copy that command, Henry out."

Glenn took back the radio and placed it inside his ruck sack. A voice came down from the oppsite end of the alley. "Hello any pony down there? Hello." Glenn tapped the marine who had the flash light. "Give me the torch." The marine handed it to Glenn. He turned it on and flashed it at the horses eyes. "Ahhh would you turn out that light!" Shouted the small horse. Glenn looked at its features, orange, purple mane and tail, and had wings. "Go home kid it isnt safe out here." Glenn said.

"Whaaa. I am not a kid, I'm a cutie mark crusader."

"Yeah alright kid thats great but get going, like I said it isnt safe out here."

"Huh maybe I can get a danger inspecter cutie mark, I have to tell the others."

"Yeah you go do that kid, just go."

"Not until you turn off that light."

"Listen kid nobody cares, just go!"

"Nobody?[gasp] ALIEN!"
