Let’s first introduce all of ya to the main character.
Hi names Trevor I’m 20 years old 6’2” and 190 pounds mostly muscle. I ride my Trek 3700 mountain bike almost everywhere
“As long as it’s within 30 miles and if it’s just me going”.
When I’m pissed my rides can get way longer. I usually won’t stop riding till I’ve cooled down. Longest I’ve ridden is around 100 miles, almost all the way through Alabama towards Mississippi, that pist my mom off because her and her friend had to come get me.
“I live in Florida”
I road half the way back before they picked me up (got a little off topic there). Otherwise I drive my beat up 97 Oldsmobile great car no serious problems over the 5 years I’ve been driving just my power steering pumps broken takes 2 hands to steer. My dad gave the car to me after he drove it threw 3 feet of water that was covering the road, a big downpour that night.
“Thanks dad love you to”
My friends and I play football about once a week with no helmets or pads just tackle football only a few broken bones here and there over the years. But I’ve given them none of them to sever or on preps just a broken nose and a few concussions.
“None of them mine, (knock on wood)”
During the summer I’m usually at the beach diving at the man-made reefs, fishing, or sweeting my ass off helping out around the house. I love music from the genre “Metal - Stained, Avenged Sevenfold, and Chevelle” to “Euro/Pop - Eiffel 65, Basshunter, and DJ Sammy & Yanou” there are genres a hate as well “such as” most country music and religious music.
Ok so I think I’m done talking about Trevor time to get to the first chapter hope you enjoy.
Chapter 1:
Ouch That Hurt
To me my life’s pretty boring every day the same routine. I get up play black ops on my PS3, take a shower, eat breakfast and then leave to go to college. Just slight changes here and there. But for some reason today just feels different like when you’re missing something and you can’t put a finger on it.
“I’m was pretty sure I put that CD on the other side of my laptop”
Ok so I push the thought to the back of my mind than double check everything ill need for collage. Ok so I’ve got my cellphone “check”, wallet “check”, camera “check”, backpack “check”, two water bottles “ double check”, mp3“check”, headphones “check” , my 1 month old CZ-17 gaming laptop that can almost do everything on the planet “BIG check”, folders with my work in them that I haven’t even looked at “check” ok I think that’s everything. I finish a cup of orange juice put it in the sink thin head out the back door. I walk to the shed slide the doors open and take my bike out.
I strap everything on my bike with an old bungee cord I found on the side of the road. (I found that bungee cord a year or two ago). So nothing should fall off. I put one of the water bottles in its holders on the bike. I get on and start riding down the road. First taking a left through an old lot that’s for sale. Now I’m riding through sand, dirt, and bushes (losing most of my energy doing so) I get cut by some evil thorns. (yes they are EVIL everyone knows it)
“Tis but a flesh wound” I say to myself.
Another left off the sand and on to the road riding along the side till I get to the woods. I ride along the winding paths down to the water were I take in the beauty of the sunrise. The suns just above the horizon, waters smooth as silk, and a hot humid breeze is blowing. Checking my phone the temp says 84 degrees and 88 humidity at 6:30 in the morning (that’s Florida weather for ya). It usually only takes me about a 1 hour 30 min to get to the collage and I always make sure to leave early as to not be late. I go over to my favorite climbing tree and climb to the top to look over the two mile stretch of water toward Pensacola beach. I can see one person cast netting off his dock and a boat out in the middle just sitting there. Nice and peaceful. All of a sudden a loud BANG comes from the boat scarring the crap rite out of me. Ok I’ve heard that before (there’s this guy shooting a gun from his boat in the bay about every few weeks. I think he’s shooting birds). Time to go I don’t plan on getting shot by a guy in a boat.
Done enjoying the scenery time to get going. I grab the water bottle off my bike and take a swig then hop on. I’m off through the wood speeding up every push of the pedal. (It’s not the fastest way to collage but it’s the nicest way with the smell of salt water, and trees). I’m hurtling at brake neck speeds around trees over fallen branches then BAM! I see nothing but black.
“Did I hit something?”
No I still feel and hear the wind around me “I CAN’T SEE” did I go blind? I then see something up ahead it’s a light and it’s getting brighter. Then I realize something, I’m not able to control myself, I can feel my legs pedaling and my hands griping the handlebars but I can’t let go or stop pedaling or even close my eyes. I’m scared to death right now. All that’s going through my head now is. SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! The lights getting closer and the only thing I can do is wait. 60 feet getting closer. 40 feet I’m ready what’s going to happen get on with it. 20 feet dam that’s bright a song comes to mind “Blinded by the light by Bruce Springsteen” great song but wrong time to be thinking about it.
KABOOM! My ears are ringing “Ouch”. I CAN SEE!! And control myself now. I’m just so happy now!!!! Then I look down. Oh shit! I’m about 30 to 35 feet in the air. Happy feeling gone. I’m on my bike in the air and feel like my body’s getting heavier by the second. What am I going do now? Then another loud sound. POP! I’m falling. I could break something CRAP!! I know what not to land on and that’s my head. No time to think so I throw my bike to the side hoping not to land on it just in time to hit the ground, ON MY BACK, with a loud thud. I’m seeing stars then I blackout.
I’m awake. Standing were I think I landed no pain or broken bones. (Standing?) I start scanning my body for any problems. Then I look at my legs and see my legs but to the right are two more on the ground. I turn to see who’s they are and my heart stops.
“Oh no”
I’m looking at my body that’s not good “I must be a ghost!” so this is what happens when people die. Well at least it can’t get any worst. Then I look around to see where my bike landed. It’s hanging from a branch about five feet off the ground. While I’m looking at my bike I start to feel my hands buzz, like when you lay on them for too long, it starts to creep up my arms and feet then I’m looking at the sky. (It just got worst.) I take in a deep breath. So much pain! Head hurting, muscles sore, I think I would prefer being a ghost. I lift my arms to look at my fingers alright there moving that great. I try sitting up, bad idea, I think it’s better to just sit here no need to move.
“Check”
Everything’s fine just intense pain everywhere from hitting the ground ON MY BACK. New check list headache “check”, movement bad idea “check”, voices “check”, um I must of hit my head a little too hard I don’t see anyone? Back to the checklist bike in a tree “check”, backpack still on bike “no check”, oh dam where it is. I jump up to look around the bike but just flop back to the ground.
“PAIN”
As I’m lying on the ground I see it hanging from the bungee cord about 10 feet above the bike. I say to myself “oh great and powerful bungee cord thank you for saving my very expensive laptop and being awesome”. I’m still hearing voices every now and thin from different directions. Ok there’s no one around but out of my peripheral I’m seeing movement but when I look nothings there. I’m going to rest a bit than get up.
Thirty minutes later I get up “slowly” and walk to where my bikes at. Some more voices “anyone there ouch?” it hurts to speak there no response back to work. I get a good grip on the frame then pull it off the branch. Nothing bent or broken wow what luck. Alright that’s the bike now for the backpack. I’m good at climbing but I’m still sore as all hell so I need to take it slow. I grab the first branch then the second and I’m there. I grab the cord and yank, bad idea, the branch breaks and I almost lose my grip on the tree. I get my balance back and pull the backpack towards. I undo the bungee cord from the branch. It fall with a thud. I’m back down to the safety of the ground.
Time to think of what just happened. Ok so I somehow went throw a portal of some sort and wound up here? “Where the heck am I?” It looks like an orchard, closer inspection apples yum. Ok I’m in someone’s apple orchard. No one around but a horse, um a big dog? Wings! What the heck a Pegasus ok that’s weird It’s just staring at me.
