He sees this path as his life, the same thing one after another ,each cracked square represents another dark day in his routine. After staring at this overworked trail he realized he had approached the same boring house. As he inserted his key into the lock he twisted it and began to relax a bit knowing that he would be able to go onto the wonderful world known as the internet.
As he was walking inside,he saw his ratty recliner, and then his picture of the mane six on his wall, meant to cover the huge hole he made out of anger a few nights ago, did not help cure his anticipation. He began looking around for someone, even knowing he lived alone and no one should be there he still found himself checking around before he made a mad dash to his computer. He started it up, clicking his favorite bookmark he was filled with immense joy, he clicked the only thing that brought him happiness anymore. My Little Pony.
The show took away all the bitter things off his life, and brought in all the sweet things. Since he honestly had nothing else to be happy about, he had no friends, not because he was an outcast or no one liked him. He just never had time, with his job as the only cashier at the convenient store beginning at 8 A.M and ending at 12 P.M, he was never able to get out of work to find some free time, time he could use to look for friends. So, to make up for it, he watched a show about friendship.
He could never pick his favorite though, Rainbow Dash the awesome, Pinkie Pie the party animal, Fluttershy the quiet, AppleJack the tough, Twilight the magical, and Rarity the gentle. He felt it wrong to pick his favorite, when the show is about loving all. He didn’t want to single out one and only. He also had wanted them to be able to be in his world, make it a little less dull. Or maybe even better, he could be in their world, the great, happy world, thats been his dream for so long.
He had thought it out many times over in his head, he had nothing to miss, nothing to keep him from going if he had the chance. In his mind he would become happy, joyful, not hate his life as much.
He brought himself back from his daze, feeling worse than he did before. He looked to the computer, he smiled after seeing a picture of Pinkie on the video’s thumbnail. It made him think about the girl he chatted with on a brony chat site. He minimized the tab and opened the chat, looking for the girl.
Remembering her username was easy, she was a hardcore Pinkie fan, knew everything there was to know about her. He clicked the search and typed “Pinkie_Pie”. Luckily she was online, he messaged her expecting an almost instant response as usual, he waited a couple minutes, out of anticipation he messaged her again, a few minutes later she responded “Sorry had to wash the cupcakes off my hands, sticky batch :D” . For some reason that made him giggle.
"So what's up? " Asked braxton
"Not much, listening to my favorite song EVER" Said Pinkie. He knew what that was, Lets get it started, he laughed every time he thought about it. "Wanna see me sing it?!" Asked Pinkie. "Sure" A video? Thought Braxton. He had never seen her nor had she seen him. He wasn't sure he wanted her to either.
Not because he thought himself as ugly, he was often flirted with at his job, including by a man once. Braxton shuddered at the memory. He had somewhat long hair, he could cover the top of his eyes, he usually flipped it to cover some of his left. He had grey eyes, everyone he knew always commented on his eyes.
While braxton was thinking about himself, Pinkie was in Ponyville preparing her webcam for her first ever concert. She stepped over to her strobe light she bought for Fluttershy's, bunny's birthday party. She hooked it up, she turned the small knob until it went as fast as possible, a huge grin stretched across Pinkie's face as she turned on the music and started dancing wildly.
After a few moments of thinking, the video came in. It was the pony, pinkie, from the show singing and dancing to the song. He laughed a while before typing back "How did u do that?" "It was easy I just filmed myself. Duh!" Braxton giggled at that. "Good one" He typed. “It sure was huh?” she replied. “Sometimes i think shes the real pony, hah. Braxton said chuckling.
After a few hours of watching the show and a few PMV’s, Braxton thought he should hit the hay, luckily it was Saturday and the store wasn't open tomorrow. “Hey i’m gonna go to bed night.” Braxton messaged. “Okay goodbye :D oooohhh do you want to visit me? I mean after all we are the greatest friends!! I could get Twi to port you! Braxton was baffled while reading this message, until reading the end at that point he realized it was a joke. “Oh sure! :P” He replied. “Okie-Dokie, I can’t tonight because she's probably sleeping. Message me tomorrow when you want okay?? “Sure thing ;P” Braxton typed, thinking maybe he shouldn't have put a wink.
Braxton awoke, one leg out from under his blanket, his hand sprawled behind his head in between his headboard and the wall. He got up and began walking to the kitchen, stepping on the cold, and dull tiles, he walked to the cereal cabinet, the white paint tearing away, seeming to want to leave the dreary room. He poured himself a large bowl of cereal, he opened the fridge, searching for milk, there was none to be found. For some reason that greatly frustrated
Braxton “I’m going to have cereal, my day is not going to start bad, i’m going to have my damn cereal!” Braxton exclaimed to himself.
He bagan to the door when he realized he had no pants or shirt on. He walked to his room and got a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt, he went outside and locked the door behind him, almost going back inside to the warm embrace he felt from the house. He continued walking down the sidewalk, the same one he thought represented his life, for a long line of squares it was clean, bright, nice. After a while he saw a square of the sidewalk completely of line, filled over, it had without hesitation jumped out of course. Every square after was dark, cracked, horrible. The toppled square reminded him of the everything day everything changed, everything fell apart. He stood there staring at the square, beginning to burst into tears.
