Giratina's face feigned hurt. "But we're the best of friends."

"We were."

"And who the hay are you?" Rainbow asked as she flew face to face with him.

He chuckled again."Oh my apologies, miss...?"

"Rainbow Dash, fastest flier in all of Equestria!"

"Well I, my good mare am Giratina." He dramatically bowed and chuckled.

"You seem awfully nice for an evil pokemon, whatever that is."

"Oh have you been telling lies about me again Palkia?" He said turning to Palkia. "I'm just a simple being, dreaming simple things."

"SIMPLE!? TURNING THE ENTIRE WHOLE OF DIMENSIONS INTO YOUR TWISTED IMAGE IS SIMPLE!?"

Giratina pouted. "No need to shout. And no that's so... cliche." He then smiled wickedly. "I want to become the dimensions not simply rule over them. Oh oh and also time! My body would be the dimensions and my blood would be time." He sighed happily with a happy look in his solid red eyes.

"Your insane." Rainbow said bluntly.

"No no no! I'm not insane I've been enlightened!"

"How so?" Rainbow was still hovering by his face.

"Well then let me tell you!" His wing swung downwards and pushed Rainbow Dash towards the ground where she blew up a cloud of dust. "Hey!" She started to get back up but a black tentacle wrapped around her and Palkia.

"Now now class quiet down. We're about to start a history lesson!"

"Aaawwwwww...." He was surprised to see shadows of little fillies and colts in desks around them all groaning in disappointment.

"Well that's just a bit creepy..." She commented.

"Now before I was enlightened, a long time before all that human nonsense there was a school house as you might say..."

Three small pokemon were sitting by each other in a grassy field talking excitingly.

"Aww come on Gira just once?" A squeaky voice asked, the voice belonged to a miniture slightly pudgier version of Palkia.

"I said no Palk, and I meant it!" This voice was slighty deeper but his voice cracked, though this one belonged to Pokemon not much bigger than Palkia with a color scheme of black and red, not yet grown into the gold armor given to him by Arceus.

"Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssseee?" Palkia begged.

Dialga looked up from a stone tablet and looked at Palkia. "Will you stop being so dumb?"

He frowned. "But I just wanted to see it just one more time..." He looked at the ground and picked at a blade of grass.

"Ugh fine Palk, but just ONE more time." He laughed in excitement as Giratina shut his blue eyes and focused. There was a couple seconds before a bug that was buzzing nearby turned black with glowing blue eyes and flew eagerly to Giratina. Palkia laughed even more and Dialga just rolled her eyes.

"Aww come on Dia don't be a party pooper!" She fixed him with a glare.

"Don't call me Dia."

"But why?"

"Because that's not my name."

"Well I'll call you whatever I want because I'm going to be the ruler of space!" He giggled a bit after.

"Well I'm going to be the ruler of time and everyone knows that time is superior to space."

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

"Do you guys always have to fight?" Giratina asked quietly.

"I was about to say the same thing." A deep voice said behind them. The bug was released from power but stayed hovering near them.

All three pokemon gaped at Arceus standing behind them. But quickly smiled and all three tackled him in a hug.

"Daddy!"

"We were wondering were you were!"

Arceus smiled. "I was very busy little ones, now tell me why you two were fighting again." He set them down on the grass by his feet. The two children in trouble looked down.

"Dia started it..."

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"Enough." Though quietly spoken the two stopped immediately. "Now explain."

"Dia said time was better than space!"

Arceus frowned. "Now Dialga and Palkia, Time and Space are equal no matter what, they are needed to be equal to maintain balance." He then looked at Giratina. "What were you doing earlier?"

"I discovered another power!" He responded excitedly.

"Can you show it to me?"

"Of course!" Giratina concentrated again and the same bug once again darkened and had glowing blue eyes.

"See! see! Isn't it cool Daddy!" Though Arceus looked anything but happy for a second before a smile came across his face.

"Yes, yes it is."

A bouncing pink pony moved towards the library with a huge grin on her face. When coming to the wooden door she stopped bouncing for a moment to knock and then resumed bouncing. It took a few moments for Spike to open the door.

"Oh hi Pinkie Pie! Come on in I'll go get Twilight."

"Okie Dokie Loki!" She said as she bounced in. And started looking through the various books on the shelves. She grabbed one on physics and randomly opened it to a random page. "Pfft, silly book." She put it back and was about to pull out a Daring Do novel when Twilight entered.

"Oh hey Pinkie Pie, what brings you here?"

"Oh I need to get Palkia and Dialga to Sugar Cube Corner!"

"Why?"

"For their welcome party silly!"

"Ah, well Dialga's here but Palkia isn't, he left just a little while ago in a hurry."

"Oh, okie doki loki!" She then started bouncing out of the library.

"Wait where are you going?"

"To find Palkia, of course!"

"Oh well let me come with you then!"

"Okie doki loki!"

"Spike, Pinkie and I will be right back!"

"OK, Twilight! Hey what about Dialga?"

"Oh, well maybe she wants to come too..." Twilight thought for a moment, "Hey Dialga!"

"No need to shout, Twilight I'm right here." Dialga said as she walked into the main room from the kitchen.

"Sorry, do you want to help us look for Palkia?"

"Yes, I will go with you. I feel something is very wrong..."

"Oh what is it?"

"I do not know."

"Oh, ok then. Well we better get going."

The two unicorns then walked out of the library followed by a bouncing pink earth pony, humming a song.

"Wh-What was that?" Rainbow Dash asked as a vision of some sort ended.

"Giratina was showing us the past."

"Well I knew that, but how? I thought he was just talking to us about it."

"Must be using a psychic power."

"If you two are done chatting I'd like to get back to my lesson, please." Giratina interrupted.

"No! Most of that didn't even make any sense! I mean who is this Arceus guy anyway?"

"Ah, well. Can anypony answer Rainbow's question?" He stared at the shadow ponies.

One of them raised their hoof. "You may explain."

"Well, Mr. Giratina, Arceus is the creator of the world and all the pokemon and beings in it." It said in a very young colt's voice that cracked slightly.

"Very good! Now anymore questions?"

"Yeah, can you get me out of here so I can kick your flank?"

Giratina's right eye flickered from red to gold again. "Very well."

"What?"

"I'll release you so you can kick my flank, what is there not to understand?"

Palkia and Rainbow Dash looked at each other. Then their bindings started to loosen and recede back into the gray ground. She was cautious when she started hovering and all the shadow ponies had their heads turned and looking at her in expectation. She then flew full speed at Giratina.

"No you pathetic equine, it's a trap!"

"Well duh, Palkia!" She suddenly swooped upwards and flew back down towards Palkia. She then scooped him up with her arms and started to fly away with him. The Shadow ponies then got up from their seats and started hissing and flying towards them like a swarm of bees.

"I'm too heavy equine! Leave me behind!"

"Never! I'm the element of loyalty!"

"What does that even mean!?"

"I'll explain later!" She was starting to sink in altitude and speed. Her wings pumping furiously as she tries to pull them up. The Shadow Ponies were almost upon them. Palkia then saw a hole filled with grey fog approaching.

"Down there!"

"Gotcha!"

The hole came closer and Rainbow Dash prepared to dive. The Shadow Ponies just seconds away. Rainbow Dash tucked in her wings and he tucked in his legs. As they went through the dark wing of Giratina covered the opening. Though they went right through it. Palkia felt something being ripped from his very being. He looked back before passing out from the pain and saw Giratina with a triumphant look in his eyes holding a giant pearl glowing in the darkness. And then everything went black.
