Reduced to Ponies

Rainbow Dash caught up to him quickly, though the walls of the pony-made cave were getting closer and closer and she was forced to run right behind Palkia. He could hear her groan of frustration as he slowed to a stop in front of a fork in the path that they traveled. He took gasping breaths of air while Rainbow Dash calmly leaned against the wall and waited for him to regain his breath. A headache was threatening to surface as he turned to talk to Rainbow Dash.

"It seems I've been weakened from having my power taken away." He stretched his limbs to prepare to run again. "But I will regain my strength... probably" He turned his attention to the fork in the path. And inspected each one carefully. They were the same in every way except for small carvings on the top of each entrance which came to around the middle of Palkia's horn causing him to bend his neck when he looked inside.

"So... What now?" Rainbow Dash asked, with a slight bit of impatience.

"I don't know any of your worlds symbols but of what I have seen of them these are very close to the ones you use." She looked at him and tried to take a closer look but she could without flying, which was currently unavailable due to the closeness of Palkia and the sides of the cave. She sighed and looked at him a bit irritated. "What?"

"Could you move? I need to fly up there and I can't if your fat flank is right there." He scowled.

"I'm not fat."

"Actually you sort of are." She said poking his cutie mark. She did a double take and continued staring at it.

"I am not fat! For your-" He stopped when he noticed the mare's gaze. "What are you staring at? Look I know I'm handsome but there's no need to stare."

"Wh- No!" She looked a bit annoyed and he laughed a little. "Your cutie mark I could have sworn you had three small stars not two." He turned his head to look and saw that she was correct, he furrowed his brow in thought.

"I think I know what those stars mean..."

"You mean you didn't know in the first place?" She tilted her head in confusion as she looked at him.

"Well, duh. I only just got turned into a pony yesterday." He slightly winced as he remembered the pain of the experience and rolled his eyes.

"Oh, right." She sat down. "So what do you think the stars mean?" She asked gesturing to his cutie mark again.

"Dialga, Giratina, and Me of course... except not so much me anymore..." He hung his head.

"So what does that big star mean?"

"My father Arceus." He said simply.

Her face shifted from confusion to curiosity. "Oh, I've been meaning to ask. What happened after that memory that Giratina showed us? And what was the deal with that bug going all shadow-y."

He lifted his head and looked her in the eyes."Perhaps I can tell you while we're trying to find a way out of here." He backed up so Rainbow Dash could hover and see the symbols.

She sighed. "Fine." She hovered for a second in front of the different set of symbols in front of each of the entrances. "Uhh, this one looks sorta like 'Private' or... cheese?" She said pointing to the tunnel on the right. She turned to the left and continued, "And that one looks like 'Home', either that or Sweetroll."

He chuckled and looked at her. "So what kind of writing is that anyway?"

"Um, it looks a lot like Griffin actually, thankfully a former friend was a griffin so I kind of know some of it. Partly because it's really close to Equestrian." She rubbed her chin with a hoof."But this looks sort of mixed."

"Huh, well I think our best bet is to go down the Cheese tunnel." She facehoofed. Palkia just gave a smile.

"I'm now sure that it says 'Home' not cheese." She noticed him smiling and rubbed the side of her head with a hoof. "You're getting weirder and weirder ya know that?"

"No I'm not. Now, onward! Down the Cheese tunnel!" He exclaimed before trotting down said tunnel.

"Hey wait! Can we slow down, I want to hear what happened after the memory." His moment of joy slipped as he remembered and he slowed to a walk.

"Fine." He began telling the story and carefully watched her facial expressions, the one that he most hated was the shock and disgust she showed as he told her how he had banished Giratina to the Twisted Dimension. She was silent afterwards and Palkia noticed that the sides of the tunnel were getting wider and taller as they continued. Eventually the pegasus was able to fly again.

"So how did Giratina escape the first couple times?" She finally spoke up.

"I don't know, but I'm guessing that he used this one time... he only escaped twice. Though Dialga and I took care of him separately.

"Huh." She was flying a little faster but never left the light coming from Palkia's horn. "So you mentioned you had other siblings."

"Yep"

"Do you mind telling me about them?"

"I actually have no idea what they're like, I've never met them."

"Really?"

"Nope." He said shaking his head.

Well that won't do now will it little brother? A high pitched giggle echoed through the tunnel. He immediately took up a defensive stance. Horn lowered and shining brightly.

"Who's there!?" He bellowed.

"ME!" A flash of bright pink light accompanied by confetti and streamers appeared in front of the unicorn and the pegasus. Blinding them temporarily. His eyes spun and he swayed a little before his sight slowly started to return. He looked over to Rainbow Dash to see that she was doing to same except that she had fallen out of the air. "Oops sorry about that! I always overpower the flash, I need to make a note about that..."

He looked up at what appeared before Rainbow Dash and him. It was a pony but it looked like a little filly, a light pink with a strikingly white mane and tail. She had a horn and wings he also noticed and she was wearing the biggest grin that he had ever seen on a pony. "Hiya little brother! I'm Mew!" Another set of confetti and streamers appeared but this time with a squee sound as Mew smiled even wider.

"Who?" Mew gasped dramatically.

"I'm just the best sister ever! Oh oh and also the oldest~" She said proudly.

"But I don't even know you." He deadpanned.

"And you're also a pony." Rainbow Dash added.

"Well aren't you two just a bunch of party poopers." She said with a pout, and then went back to her usual smile." Well I guess I do owe you an explanation."

"Yes, please." He looked into Mew's teal eyes as she took a deep breath.

"I'm usually not a pony but now that I think about it I really should be because look! Hooves, crazy right? They can even pick up stuff almost as easily as hands. But anyhow, I'm a pony because you, Dialga, and Giratina are. I just wanted to join the party! And you don't know me because Dad wouldn't let me see or talk to you! I have no idea why, he's just so serious sometimes. I should give him some Pop rocks, because Pop rocks always make people lighten up! An-"

"Wait, Arceus said you couldn't see me?"

"Yep!" She chirped.

"You remind me of Pinkie Pie..." Rainbow Dash mumbled. Palkia was deep in thought as he questioned why Arceus wouldn't let him see him or even how he had failed to mention Mew. He shook his head.

"Anyways we should really continue down the Cheese tunnel."

"Oh cheese tunnel? That gives me an idea!" She jumped in the air and their was another flash of bright pink light though significantly dimmer compared to the original one. "CHEESE! CHEESE FOR EVERYPONY!" She yelled as wheels and slices of cheese started appearing out of nowhere in particular. Rainbow Dash was nearly hurt as a particularly large cheese wheel appeared above her. She zoomed beneath Palkia's legs, being the biggest thing there and there was plenty of space underneath him. He quickly began to take hold of some of his magic and imagine it into a bubble around Rainbow Dash and him. He succeeded and a pinkish silver force field appeared around them. Mew was too busy dancing and giggling to notice their actions.

After a couple minutes the rain of cheddar stopped. He let go of the field and slumped to the ground, luckily Rainbow Dash had flown out of the way before he crushed her. He could feel a headache coming on.

"Never... Never do that again. We've wasted enough time already, we need to get back to Ponytown."

"Ponyville." Dash corrected.

"Ugh sorry. Why can't I remember that?"

"Oh oh! That's easy. You guys think of Ponyville really hard alright?"

He exchanged glances with Dash. "Oh just do it you silly ponies!"

"Alright, alright." He began focusing on the town, the details of the buildings and the library. He felt a rush of cold air and a pop, followed by nausea. He opened his eyes and found he was in the field where he was pulled into the Twisted Dimension, surrounded by three very surprised looking ponies. Twilight, Dialga, and... Pinkie Pie was it?

"See I told you it was easy!" He turned his head to find Mew on his back lounging. With Rainbow Dash also staring at her. He turned back to the other ponies.

"Uhh... hey." He said with an awkward smile.
