1~The Troubling Dream
            "Awaken, my darling." That voice. The same voice that always called out to me. It was so smooth, yet full of despair. I moaned helplessly, gripping my hair. 'This is the end. My ties to sanity are broken.' I thought, tears cascading down my face. I had always had this dream, ever since I started watching My Little Pony. And it was exactly the same every night. I would open my eyes to a beautiful meadow, filled with mares and stallions prancing gleefully and without care. As wonderful as the sight was, It seemed as though there was a sorrowful atmosphere to it. To top it off, it was a lucid dream, so I could move freely and effortlessly. They all looked so pleased, yet I would sit and sulk, all because of one painful realization:
             I was nothing but a human.
           And just like that, I'd wake up to the overly bubbly chime of my alarm clock, reminding me once again of my mundane human life. I rolled around under my thick purple comforter, noticing my Lyra plushie that rested atop my computer. "Ugh, trust me Lyra, if I could, I'd trade places with you in a fucking heart beat." I stated lazily.
           After smacking the shit out of my alarm clock's snooze button, I decided I should get up and dress for my daily journey into the depths of Hell... A.K.A high school. I quickly slipped into my usual attire: My beloved "Yay" T-shirt (which I wore practically every two days), dark jeans, and my good ol' Chuck Taylors. I then stopped and looked in the mirror for a moment, combing my auburn hair out of my eyes. "Psh." I let the small sound of annoyance escape my lips before heading out the door.
                         Little did I know that this would be the day that changed my life forever.
