It was like any other night and Luna was getting bored of watching over the sleeping kingdom, so she decided that it was here time to troll. “Guard watch the kingdom for a while as I go check on the dreams of our citizens” Luna commanded.
“Will do your majesty” the Guard replied almost as fast as Luna could command him.
“Let’s see whose dream we will watch over today, ah my sister’s faithful student Twilight Sparkle” Luna said as she entered the sleeping fillies dream.
“Ah Princess Luna what a pleasant surprise, please do come in I was just finishing my one hundred page essay to Celestia” Twilight said beaming with confidence.
A dream about work, the rumours we’re true she really is the biggest egg head in all of Equestria, Luna thought to herself. “So Twilight anything interesting happen today?” asked the Princess.
“Well now that you mention it I couldn’t find my quills today for some reason and” Twilight said as one of the pages in her essay burst into flames. “MY WORK! No no no no no” Twilight screamed as she tried to put out the fire that was burning trough her imaginary essay.
Trying to hold back a chuckle Luna quickly made a Phoenix rise out of the ashes of Twilights work. “Philomena look what you just did to Twilight’s work” Luna said knowing full well that she was the reason the fillies work became phoenix ash, “you should feel very ashamed of yourself now say you’re sorry.”
Twilight who is now crying in the corner over all of her lost work turned to Philomena, who Luna just gave the deepest voice she could come up with. “I’m so sorry babe, why don’t you come on over to my place and I can make it up for you?” the new sexy voiced Philomena said.
Twilight began to shake and her eyes started to twitch as she let out a very loud cry of confusion, fear, and sadness. Luna still trying to hold back her laughter was forced out of Twilight’s head because she had just woke up out of the nightmare that the princess had just put her through.
“Oh wow that was fun that must be why my sister does it” Luna said to herself, “I really need to find another dream to invade on and cause a little fun.”
Pinkie was just, well Luna could not figure out what she was doing as she entered her dream. It looked like she was talking to somepony but nopony was there. Even though Luna knew Pinkie could be random at all times she decided that she would be her next victim.
“Why hello there Pinkie what brings you…” Luna said as she was interrupted by the pink pony.
“SHHHH they’ll run away” Pinkie said with the most serious face Luna had ever seen on the normally happy and cheery pony.
“Pinkie you do know nothing is there?” Luna said trying to find what she is talking to and about.
“You mean you don’t see them? The strange looking creatures right over there.” Pinkie lifted a hoof up and hit an invisible wall. “They never leave me alone…please help.” The now extremely frightened Pony whispered to Luna like she was in danger.
Luna now curious at what had turned the element of laughter into what she think resembles a patient with real bad schizophrenia, decided to walk over to the spot where her hoof stayed resting against. “Pinkie there is nothing here, see.” Luna said as she walked through the spot that the pink ponies hoof had rested.
“No…stop moving! Just leave me alone!” Pinkie screamed at what Luna seemed to be just air.
And just out of nowhere a force held the princess in place and lifted her towards a spot in the air which Pinkie seems really scared off.
“Pinkie what is going on put me down?” Luna just barely got out before the force took away her voice.
“They…They say they want to speak to you, “Pinkie said now even more scared then before, “just stop resisting and they’ll let go.” Luna shook her head and the force had given her, her voice back.
“Ok hello, you wanted to talk to me. Well I am all ears.” Luna said not thinking she’ll get a response.
“Silence.” Boomed a voice that came out of nowhere. “You must leave at once and never come back to this place” Commanded the voice.
“Why should I this pony is my loyal subject and I have the right to stay here” Luna said “if it is anypony who should be going it is you.”
“Fool you do not understand, we do not care about your stupid government, this pony is ours and has been forever.” The voice said as a strange looking face emerged from thin air in front of Luna.
“Pinkie is this what you’ve been seeing?” Luna asked pinkie with great concern on her face.
The pink pony nodded her head. It was worse than what Luna had feared, somehow these creatures had broken he fourth wall and are commanding Pinkie. If Pinkie had any hope of being saved I was now all up to Luna.
“Now princess don’t get any ideas or Pinkie and your other friends will get hurt.” The voice said as five more of these creatures appeared behind it and even more behind them. “You see there are many of us, let us keep this here pony and we shall be on our way.”
“You will never take another one of my friends.” Luna boomed at them. “And you better not show your face around here again.”
As Luna said that even more of these creatures appeared around her. “No one will believe what you saw; no one believes that other pony.” The original voice said to her as Luna was ripped out of Pinkies dream and forced into a dark abyss.
“Huh my head hurts so much” Luna managed to say as she was still half asleep.
“Oh my dear sister you have finally awoken.” The frightened Celestia said leaning over her sister.
“Celestia what do you mean finally it has only been a day.” Luna said still not fully awake.
“Luna you have been sleeping for the past four days, nopony could wake you up.” Celestia said and motioned to the doctor ponies that had been taking care of her.
Luna shot up out of here bed, now fully awake, and realised that she was not where she left herself when she went into ponies dreams. But rather she was in one of the rooms in the hospital in the Canterlot castle, and that it had indeed been four days.
“Luna, do you remember anything that happened that night?” Celestia asked Luna with a face that Luna could tell meant she was going to get revenge on the pony that had done this.
Luna sat there thinking, trying to remember anything that happened that day, but it was like it didn’t even exist. “No sorry sister I cannot remember a single thing from that day.” Luna said trying to fight back the pain that started to pound the inside of her head.
Celestia sighed and trotted out the door, “oh and by the way you have mail.” She said before leaving the room.
Luna jumped out of her hospital bed and ran out of the room, running at full speed towards her own room. Luna rarely gets letters and when she did she always viewed them as important. “But why would somepony send me a letter and most of all while I was knocked out.” Luna thought to herself as she burst into her room looking for the scroll.
“Ah here it is” she said out load picking up the unopened letter. She was happy that Celestia didn’t open it for her and that she could be the first to read it.
“Dear princess Luna, Something bad has returned and I need your help to stop it, Lyra.” Luna read out loud.
She looked at the letter for a while, she rarely ever saw Lyra and what was this thing she needed help with, couldn’t she just go ask Twilight or her friends? Then it hit her everything from that night, Twilight, Pinkie, those creatures and the last thing they said to her. “No one will believe what you saw; no one believes that other pony”. She sat there stunned as the words replayed over and over again in her mind, then she realised that everypony is in danger and she has to go talk to Lyra now.
“Lyra!” Bon Bon yelled as she kicked open the door, “where are you!?”
Lyra who was in no mood to fight with her roommate stayed hidden behind the couch. “Have you been sending those letters to everypony again?” Bon Bon asked trying to find the invisible unicorn.
Lyra knew what would come next and did not want to be a part of it as it always ended up with her being the one in trouble and an apology to the citizens of Ponyville and well pretty much everypony she got her hooves on.
“All of Ponyville’s had enough of all these letters not even Pinkie Pie seems to care this year. Why could you have not sent them out the same time you always do, so and can go out and warn everybody first? And even worse you sent letters to evreypony! Apple Jack just told me that Braeburn showed up wanting to help you and, I’ve bumped into almost half of Canterlot… Lyra what are you thinking?”
Not wanting to hear any more of this Lyra tries to use the teleportation spell that Twilight had showed her. As it is the first time she has tried this it didn’t go as well as she planned and teleported right in front of the angry and now surprised Bon Bon. “Ah buck it didn’t woo…oh hey Bon Bon I... uh… couldn’t hear you.”
“Lyra I know that you heard me can you just tell me” Bon Bon said as she took in her roommate for the first time today, “What is on your head…wait no don’t tell me it’s another Human thing.”
“No it’s a helmet; it’s protecting me from the evil spirits that are trying to control us.” Lyra explained to Bon Bon like somepony was watching her every move as she covered the windows and locked the door. “And this time I’m sure that something is wrong I’ve been having the dreams that I had when I was a filly when I first learned of humans… I think they are coming back and are trying to take control of our minds and corrupt us, here I made you one to.” She said as she shoved the tinfoil helmet onto Bon Bon’s head.
“Uhhh this is a human thing. Lyra they aren’t real humans have never been real and they never will be.” Bon Bon said starting to get even more annoyed with all this human business, even if she thought it was impossible to get any angrier about Lyra’s Human obsession.
“Bon Bon I swear they are real I’ve seen them before and I know they are coming back, why can’t you believe me?” Lyra said as she was interrupted by somepony knocking on her door. “Bon Bon can uh you go get that I forgot something behind the couch” she said as she jumped behind the couch covering herself in a blanket.
“Lyra there are no humans knocking on our door see?” Bon Bon said as she opened the door revealing Princess Luna was the pony knocking on their door. “Oh uh Princess Luna welcome to our house. What brings you to Ponyville?” She said extremely embarrassed as she threw the helmet off of her head knocking down Lyra’s lyre.
“Nooo” Lyra screamed as she jumped out of her hiding spot and caught the instrument with her magic. “What are you thinking Bon Bon, oh hello Princess Luna.”
“Hello you two, I’ve come here because of your message Lyra. You said you need me?” Luna said as she entered the house.
“Lyra look what you did you made Princess Luna come over here with your made up creatures.” Bon Bon said giving the mint colored mare a bad look. “Nothing is wrong here you can just go back to Canterlot Princess we are so sorry.”
“We are not sorry, first of all humans are real and secondly something is terribly wrong and everypony is in danger.” Lyra said with each word getting louder and louder. “Why do you never believe me can’t you just put some faith into me for once!”
“Why would I put some faith in a pony who should be in the mental ward with Screw Loose.” Bon Bon said matching the volume that Lyra just produced.
“Can you guys please just shut the Buck up!” The Princess screamed causing both ponies to stop talking mid-sentence. “Ok now that you two have calmed down I have something to say, I have come here today to seek your aid Lyra. You see I too have seen the presence of some other evil spirits and well I have no idea how to stop them. But there is a good side to it, I believe that you have met them before as the creature that seemed to be in charged mentioned some other pony, and with your letter it must be you.”
A giant smile started to appear on Lyra’s face as she learned about the Princesses’, on the other hand Bon Bon just started to walk away slowly as she knew Lyra would never let her live this down. “So Luna if it was indeed the same creature that we both saw then it would have to be a human, good news for you I have beaten one in the past after it tried to take control of my brain. Bad new it was a long time ago and well they may be stronger than before.” Lyra said as she walked towards to couch again revealing a secret door under the furniture that she wound herself behind way too much.
“Wait… How long as that been there and why don’t I know about it, how have you even kept this a secret from me and well all of Ponyville for so long.” Bon Bon barely got out as she was filled with confusion and other emotions she could not describe.
“Oh Bon Bon there are many things you don’t know about me this is just one of them,” Lyra said winking towards Bon Bon. “Now come on we don’t have that much time if they are back.”
Lyra and Princess Luna had disappeared into the secret basement leaving Bon Bon all alone, “What are you getting yourself into girl.” She them followed the two into the hole, forgetting to close the door to their house.
“Hey Bon Bon you’re joining us, wanna take apart in some of this human killing fun eh?” Lyra said, then walking towards to hatch and closing it. “Ok so here is the deal nopony knows we are here or this place even exists but it has all the information on humans and how to defeat them you could imagine. But the one I want you two to study and learn by the end of today is this one” she lifted up an old dust covered scrap book. “This right here is my journal back when I had to fight them.” Bon Bon took the book from Lyra reading over the first couple of pages.
“Great, now we can go and stop the creatures from taking over the dreams of others.” Luna said thinking that it would be that easy.
“Wait did you just say that they are in other ponies’ dreams?” Lyra said as a worried look came upon her face. “Luna I don’t think you know but uhhh… we can’t really get any of the stuff we need or ourselves for that matter into other ponies dreams.”
“Uh Lyra I have a question. It says here that you used something called guns to fight off your imaginary cre….er humans, what are they and how do we get them.” Bon Bon said not paying attention to anything going on around her.
“Yes Lyra what are these things that your roommate has just asked about, I have never heard of them?” Luna said now thinking it may be harder to defeat them then she first thought it was.
“Well you see guns are well weapons, they shoot little bullets into the thing you are shooting at and well they die.” Lyra said remembering that she is one of very few ponies who know about guns. “And you just happen to live with the pony who has the biggest collection.” She grabs one of the books on the wall, which causes some weird mechanical noises to fill the room as one of the empty walls opens up revealing another secret room filled with hundreds of guns of all sizes.
Bon Bon and Luna stood there in shock looking at the pale white room littered with these weapons, the three ponies stand there in silence until Lyra breaks it. “So you ladies like standing out there or do you want to come in.” Gesturing them to enter the room, that was so well hidden inside the room that Bon Bon hadn’t found since she moved in.
“Lyra how did you get your hooves on all of these guns, and when you said you had the biggest collection do you mean that there are more ponies with these things?” Bon Bon asked as she walked towards the wall of side arms and knifes.
“Well yeah Oc…of course there are others who have them but I can’t tell you, we kinda made a deal. And anyways if I did tell you their fighting wouldn’t be the only scary thing about them.” Lyra said trying to cover up the fact she almost told somepony else about Octavias and Vinyl’s unique gun collection, a collection where she had got a few or her own. “And now that we have guns we still have that one major problem, there is no way to get inside of another pony’s head and certainly not our weapons it is impossible I bet Celestia couldn’t even do it.”
“Oh yeah, forgot about that sorry.” Luna said as she admired Lyra’s rocket launcher and chain gun she had mounted up on the wall under the title of “Big Boys”. “Celestia can’t get inside of other ponies head’s but I was called Nightmare Moon, I can get all of us in and all the guns we can carry.”
Lyra’s eyes lit up like it was Hearts Warming day. “Really you can do that you have to teach me and oh… that reminds me we have to go out and see if any other pony wants to join us. I have two on my mind that would love to use some of these babies again, so uhhh could you mind getting out of my super-secret rooms and uhh you know maybe find other ponies too?” Lyra said rushing the words out of her mouth wanting to get the buck out of there.
“Ok sure I’ll go do that now.” Bon Bon said leaving the rooms with Luna following from behind.
“Ahhhh great!” Lyra screamed barely holding back a squee as she dashed out of the rooms and opening the door to Ponyville running off into the distance.
“Well I guess we’ll see you again tonight back in Lyra’s secret room?” Bon Bon asked Luna as they left her house.
“Yes I’ll be here just after I raise the moon for tonight.” Luna replied to Bon Bon as she flew away back to Canterlot. “This is going to be great for once I shall be in the spot light and everypony in all of Equestria will know me as Princess Luna and not Nightmare Night, I really hope nothing goes wrong.” She thought to herself on her way back to the castle.
“Hehehehe those fools letting me just come in here and practically give me all of their information. Wouldn’t you say it would be real bad if something happened to it?” Said some pony who had been hiding on the ceiling of Lyra and Bon Bon’s living room, wearing nothing but black sweatpants, sweater, sky mask and ridiculous looking night vision goggles.
The pony slowly let herself onto the floor closing the door that once again Bon Bon had left open. She walked over to the open hatch in the floor started to fill it with gasoline and as she lit a match removed her mask, “Looks like this party just got a little hot.” Said the now visible pink pony as she tossed the match into the underground library and ran out the backdoor.
