Pyrefly won the Coltston Grand Prix seven years running. In his last race, he accidentally set a fire that burned half of the great East Coast city to the ground. After years of trying to find a new home, he and his emotionally-unstable and mentally-fragile baby sister, Ice Dancer, finally stumble across Ponyville. They think it's remote enough to not cause any problems, but when Pinkie Pie shows up and triggers Ice Dancer's fear of strangers, it causes a rift between the formerly close siblings. Pyrefly should have known better than to leave her alone in such an upset and vulnerable state, but Pinkie's offered them a welcome party, and that friend of Pinkie's, Rainbow Dash, is just so pretty. Ice Dancer's magic lashes out in her anger, and Pyrefly begins to wonder if moving somewhere so remote was really such a good idea after all.
