Strange Hooves
Strange Ventures
Previous ChapterThe far-flung fillies ran off to discover the island, giggling all the way. A short time later, a certain blue alicorn ran through the portal, panic in her eyes, which were searching her environment. She pauses to take a look at the moon, before running off, following three distinct hoof-prints.
Meanwhile...
“I told you about Mike, Francis! I told you, bro!”
Ellis was shaking an unimpressed Nick by the shoulders, everyone watching the transpiring events. Nick shoved Ellis away, pinched his nose in frustration and said,
“Ellis. Did Mike impress you with a simple card trick, or...”
This is when Mike walks into the camp.
“What did you do, Mike?”
Mike opened his mouth to speak, but was pounced. By three giggling fillies.
All tartarus broke loose.
Ellis squee’d.
Everybody else freaked out.
“What’s that on him!?”
“Are they ponies?!”
“Ponies?!”
“What the heck?!”
“Wha?!”
“Should we shoot it?!”
Everyone froze when the howl of the dead sounded. A voice cried out,
“Foul Undead Fiends!”
MIke and the ponies ran off towards the sound, while everyone else grabbed their guns. As they did, the absurdity of the situation finally dawned on them, but they ran off to see what the heck’s going on.
Tearing through the vegetation, they found the princess of the night combating the infected, stomping, blasting, and just causing re-death in the zombie ranks. Mike freaked out, and ran off to the beach, carving a path through the forest and hands and teeth. Sure enough, at the beach, was the horde, and they were rushing into the portal. Mike cut through to the portal, and stepped into the threshold.
What he saw on the other side was a warzone. A third faction had entered the fray, these strange bug-like ponies with bug-eyes, wings, and fangs. They seemed to be invading Canterlot. The Royal Guard was fighting off these bugs and the horde. The infected were fighting everyone. Screaming, gunshots, and bolts of magical energy could be heard.
Mike facepalmed, and muttered,
“Good grief. So this is how it’s going to be.”
Thus it was. Mike realized that this was just in fact the first day of the rest of his life, of hijinks and never-ending conflict.
He was just fine with that.
