On Wings of Love: The Fluttering Rainbows
FlutterDash: A Love True.
We come upon a small cabin on the fringe of Everfree Forest, seeing the couple of FlutterDash inside. "Happy anniversary, snuggly." Rainbow Dash said to her lover, a timid little pegasus whom we all know.
"Happy anniversary, Dashie." Fluttershy said, kissing her marefriend on the cheek. "Again, I'm really sorry that you didn't get into the Wonderbolts."
Dash smiled sadly at that. "That's alright," She continued, nibbling her beloved's ear. "Everything's fine, as long as I'm with you."
These two pegasi have been together for two years, though they were so different. Rainbow Dash was fast and rushed, Fluttershy was slow and calm. Dash was brave and outspoken, Fluttershy was shy and timid. And yet, despite that, these two had found eachother and fallen in love.

It started when they were little more than fillies. They met eachother at flight school. Many people picked on Fluttershy, but Rainbow Dash didn't. In fact, Dash stood up for Fluttershy most of the time. Ever since those days, they were the best of friends, Dash her protector. But, things got serious about 2 years ago.
One day, the Mane 6 were hanging out together in Canterlot, celebrating after Twilight passed yet ANOTHER one of her classes and tests with highest honors. They had all liked to celebrate a different way EVERY time. This time, they had run out of ideas, so they all ordered drinks to share.
They all ordered something different. Dash had ordered a beer, having always preferred strength of buzz to flavor. Fluttershy, on the other hand, had some delicious clover wine. Even though Fluttershy had a weak alcohol, she drank alot of it, so she became very drunk. Every one of them got drunk, for that matter. Later that night, when they were all heading to a hotel, Dash and Fluttershy were trying to fly their drunkenness off.
"Hey Fluttersh." Dash said, slurring a bit.
"What ish it, Rainbow?" Fluttershy asked, cheeks flushed from the alcohol in her system.
"I l-love you!" Dash said, hiccuping a bit as she purposely flew into Fluttershy, sending Fluttershy sprawling through the air for a few moments before regaining her balance.
"What?" Fluttershy asked, a dopey grin spreading across her face.
"I, I love, you. I love you!" Dash was completely smashed, but this was partially true. Ever since the first day Dash crashed into Fluttershy when they were just fillies, she had really liked Fluttershy, but things had changed over the past few months. Whenever she thought of Fluttershy, she giggled and wished she were closer to the mare. She couldn't help but blush when she thought about the times she crashed into Fluttershy and landed the two of them in an awkward, undignified position.
"Oh, Rainbow Dash, you don't mean that! You're drunk!" Fluttershy giggled and put one of her front legs around Dash in a hug. "Oh yes I do, Fluttershy!" Dash chuckled a few moments, then suddenly, she landed a kiss on Fluttershy's neck. Fluttershy shivered at that, but not with fear. No, she shivered with joy. So, she looked into the eyes of her would-be lover, and she kissed the cyan mare deeply upon the lips, her tongue piercing Dash's lips. Dash had a look of shock, then one of joy. Suddenly, she welcomed the alien-entity into her mouth and returned the action, pushing her tongue into Fluttershy's mouth.

The two of them snuggled eachother together for several hours. At about 10:00 PM, Dash looked at the clock and realized what time it is. "Flutters?" She whispered.
"Oh, is it that time already? Okay, I guess you'd better go, than, but... Oh my, I just wish we could tell our friends about 'us'." Dash noticed the little yellow mare's slight frown, and she kissed her beloved on the cheek. "Oh, I'm sorry, Flutters. Maybe we should tell our friends, at least Twilight."
Fluttershy looked up and smiled. "A-are you sure? I mean, we still don't know how they'll react to it..."
"I'm sure, my butterfly." Fluttershy nuzzled the cyan pegasus gently, glad they had finally decided. "Than we're agreed," Dash said. "We'll tell them tomorrow. And, Flutters," Rainbow Dash said. "Would you mind if I, eh, stayed the night here?" Fluttershy grinned widely at that and nodded. Rainbow Dash planted a kiss on Fluttershy's lips.
Dash's tongue pierced the lips of her timid lover, caressing and wrestling the other. After several minutes of their tongues mingling and a slight exchange of saliva, Fluttershy broke the kiss and looked into the loving eyes of her protecter and lover. "You're my aegis, Dash... I love you so much." They embraced for several moments, then got off of the small couch and walked to the bed.
Fluttershy blushed a bit as Dash got into the bed beside her. Dash giggled. She always loved how her Flutters was, always so shy, so easy to make blush. "Good night, my beautiful guardian."
"Good night, my adorable little butterfly." They fell asleep together quickly, Dash's wing protectively and lovingly draped over Fluttershy.

The next morning, we find ourselves at the library of a certain Twilight Sparkle. We see Rainbow Dash come up and knock on the door. "Coming," Twilight said as she hurried down from her bedroom. "Oh, Rainbow Dash, it's you! How can I help you?"
"I-I need to tell you something." Dash answered, regretting already that she and Fluttershy had decided this.
"Oh, of course, Rainbow Dash. Come in, come in."
Rainbow Dash nodded and followed in. Twilight quickly put away a few books, then walked back over to the rainbow-maned pegasus. "So, what do you need to tell me?" Twilight asked, wearing a slight smile.
"Um... Twilight, uh... Fluttershy and I are..." Rainbow Dash stuttered, blushing a bit. "Twilight, Fluttershy and I are... We... We're going out!" Twilight's eyes widened a bit at that, but they returned to normal, and her grin widened.
"Really? That's great! Glad to see you've FINALLY found somepony to love, Rainbow Dash!" Dash suddenly mimicked Twilight's previous action of eye-widening. "You-you're not weirded out?" Rainbow Dash continued. "I mean, by it being... Two mares?" Twilight simply giggled in response.
"No, of course not! I don't think who or what a pony falls in love with is weird, regardless of WHAT gender they are! I'm glad you and Fluttershy are together, glad to see two of my best friends are able to share their love with somepony!" Rainbow Dash let out a sigh of relief at that.
"Well, I'm glad to see you're supportive about this. But, hey, Twilight..." She stumbled a bit as she spoke. "H-how do you think the others will feel about this?" Twilight giggled again.
"Well, Applejack might have a problem with it, but Pinkie Pie has always been open-minded, and Rarity will just be glad to see her friends find love!" Dash nodded, finally smiling.
"You're right. And besides," Dash exclaimed, smiling yet wider. "Why should me and Fluttershy care what anybody says, so long as we're together?" Twilight nodded and gave Rainbow Dash yet another smile. "Thanks for the talk, Twilight. I'm gonna go find Fluttershy. She said she would meet up with me at Sugarcube Corner when I found out what you thought." Twilight smiled and waved good-bye as the cyan pegasus walked out the door.

We come upon Fluttershy, waiting at Sugarcube Corner for her lover. "Where is she, I wonder?" She asked the air. "I hope nothing happened..."
"Boo!" Rainbow Dash yelled, materializing in front of her lover.
"Eek!" Shrieked the cream-colored pegasus as she jumped 30 feet in the air. "Oh, Rainbow Dash, it's you. You scared me." Fluttershy slowly and timidly fluttered back down. "So, what did Twilight say?"
Rainbow Dash grinned and hugged Fluttershy. "She says she thinks it's great that we're together!" Dash answered, releasing her lover. "And aside from Applejack, she seems to think that the others will think the same way!"
Now Fluttershy took on a smile. "Really? Ooh, this is wonderful! So, um... Who should we tell next?" Dash thought for just a moment. She wasn't quite sure. Like Twilight said, Applejack probably wouldn't approve. Pinkie Pie probably wouldn't take it seriously. But Rarity, on the other hoof...
"Let's tell Rarity." Dash said after several moments. Fluttershy smiled and nodded. The two of them came close to eachother as they walked off towards the Carousel Boutique.
On Wings of Love: The Fluttering Rainbows
"Oh me, oh my!" Rarity yelled as she ran around her boutique, trying to make sure she had all of her orders done. This was the busiest time of the year. Hearth's Warming was coming soon, and so many more people were ordering her dresses. She knew she could earn so much more money during this time, but that she also had to spend so much more time making dresses, she barely slept at all.
She heard a knock on the locked door. "Oh dear, what is it NOW?" She said outloud. She came to the door and opened it to see Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. "Oh, my friends! So good to see you! I would invite you in, but I'm so busy, so VERY busy, so please make this quick!"
"O-oh, I'm sorry," Fluttershy apologized. "Rarity, we didn't know you were so busy. We can just go if you want..."
"Oh, don't worry about it, darling! Please, just, say what you will and be quick about it!" Dash shrugged and stepped forward.
"Well Rarity," She said, smiling. "I'm not sure how you'll react to this, but... Me and Fluttershy have been going out for two years."
Rarity's eyes went wide. Suddenly, she smiled. "Oh, how wonderful for you two!" Rarity exclaimed, hugging them both. "Oh, you simply MUST come in! I can put some of my work on hold, it couldn't hurt!" Fluttershy grinned in response, as did Rainbow Dash, as they followed the alabaster unicorn inside.
"So then," Rarity started, setting a cup of tea on to boil. "Tell me, you two, when and how did you come to this conclusion and decide to start... You know, eh... Dating?" Rainbow Dash chuckled, and went on to tell the story. She told it exactly as it happened, not fabricating or changing the story at all. Finally, when she finished the story 20 minutes later, Rarity held her breath for just a moment, taking in the tale.
"So..." She said. "You two... Got together after we all celebrated, and you've been dating for two years because of it?"
"Um... Yes." Fluttershy timidly said, nuzzling Dash quickly. The white unicorn was still a bit shocked.
"And you're saying you've aboslutely no regrets? No problems in your relationship, no fights, no second thoughts?"
"Yep." Rainbow Dash said.
"Well, that's... Surprising."
"Surprising?" Fluttershy timidly asked. "Why is that so surprising?"
"Well, I mean, not that you two aren't at an absolutely LOVELY couple, but, I mean... Getting into a committed relationship because of something that happened after a few too many drinks... I mean, wouldn't YOU expect at least a few issues with the relationship?"
"Well, we were worried about that at first, but it turns out we go together pretty awesome!" Dash said pridefully, drawing Fluttershy closer... If that were possible. "Well... I don't know what to say, but... Um... Well, you two are just such an adorable couple! Oh, I just... I can't believe this..." She couldn't help but grin, causing Fluttershy to blush.
"Who else have you told?" She asked, calming herself down.
"What?" Dash asked.
"Who else have you told, you know, about your relationship?" Rarity looked at the couple, curious.
"Oh, um..." Fluttershy started. "Well... Dashie told Twilight... And then we decided to tell you, because we knew you'd take it seriously... But, no one else."\
"Well, then..." Rarity considered the possibilities. "I suppose you could try and tell Applejack. She probably won't like it - She's always been a bit close-minded - But, at least she'll take it seriously." Dash shrugged and looked at Fluttershy.
"What do you think, Flutters?" She asked.
"Oh, um, well... I guess it couldn't hurt. But, I hope it doesn't change her opinion about us..."
Rainbow Dash glared at the cream-colored pegasus. "Now, you listen here, Fluttershy! I know she's one of our friends, but why should we care what Applejack thinks of us?"
Dash was frightening the timid mare. "Um... I, uh..."
"Tell me, Fluttershy, why should we care? As long as we're together, why should we care what anyone thinks of us?"
Fluttershy was nearly in tears at this point. "Rainbow Dash, you're scaring me..."
But Dash didn't care. At this point, she was furious and irrational. She didn't want Fluttershy to be ashamed of the relationship just because of what others thought. "Tell me Fluttershy, why?! Huh?! WHY?!"
This time Fluttershy was crying. She ran from the room and burst through the front door of the boutique, flying away. Rarity looked in horror, first at her door, then at Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash," Rarity cried out. "What have you done?!" The cyan mare looked down, only now realizing what had happened.
"It'll be fine," She replied, shaking her head in an attempt to clear her thoughts. "I'll just go get her." Rainbow Dash said, preparing to run out and fly after Fluttershy.
"Stop!" Rarity screamed, putting her hoof on Dash's shoulder. "She just needs some time to calm down.Then you should go after her." Rainbow Dash just glared at her for a moment, then sighed and nodded. "Fine."
