Magic and science don't exactly mix... (rewritten chapter 1)
Somewhere in “The New World of Tekkit”…
“What the hell are you doing Rythian?! I thought we had a non-aggression pact!” A man said, his white lab coat was torn and had patches of blood on it. The blade he held was nearly at a breaking point and blood was slowly seeping from cuts and gashes all over his body.
“Guess you had memory lapse when you bombed my camp in the desert! You will pay for that Duncan!” Rythian yelled in anger. His cloak was also torn on many places and he had several cuts, but his weapon was as good as new. His purple eyes glared at the scientist.
“I already told you it wasn’t me! I have no idea who it was but I can swear that it wasn’t me!” Duncan yelled back, his grip on the sword he wielded tightening.
“Well then was it? Who else had the resources to build such an explosive? It can’t be Sjin and Sips because they’re too busy with Honeydew Inc. and enjoying their moment of peace, so that leaves you!” Rythian exclaimed charging against Duncan, an attack he narrowly dodged.
“I need to get out of here.” Duncan muttered as he took out a remote control, which controlled an inter-dimensional portal generator he had built. He pointed it towards himself but, sure enough, Rythian was charging again. In a desperate effort Duncan pressed the ‘confirm’ button.
Just before a light blue sphere surrounded him, Rythian was already near him, but the would be onslaught was stopped as the sphere burst out in an explosion of light unlike any other, showing all the colors of the spectrum upon its activation. It was a sight to behold.
Rythian and Duncan tumbled across the void, going to God knows what dimension. ‘What have you gotten us into this time, Duncan?’ Rythian thought as he continued falling.
<…>
Twilight was sitting at the library trying to work on a new spell. “So if I get this right, I may be able to summon beings from other dimensions.” She muttered. “Let’s see…” She read her book to check if everything was ready. “All seems to be in order. I can’t believe it, I might be able to bring in new creatures! Think of the possibilities Spike!” She excitedly said to her dragon assistant.
“I’m not sure you should be doing this Twi. What if you end up summoning some kind of monster that will eat us all?” Spike reluctantly said.
“I can cancel the spell within the first five minutes so don’t worry about that. But you might want to step back.” Twilight said. Spike gladly obeyed and got to cover while Twilight was charging the spell, her mind focused solely on it. Her horn shone very brightly, with light of an intensity that a regular unicorn should not have been able to produce.
In a very powerful burst of energy she released the spell, hopefully having a creature in the library. Her vision was still blurry because of the strain the spell put on her body, but even in such a condition she made out two shapes in the middle of the library.
“Get off me you stupid scientist!” She heard a voice say with an angry tone.
“I can’t even stand up yet, just be a little patient!” She heard another voice, reflecting annoyance.
“If you won’t get off, I will make you!” She heard the first.
“Alright, I’m getting up.” On her blurred out vision she saw one of the figures lifting up to an impressive height.
“Now where was I? Oh right I was about to kill you!” She saw the other one standing up to the same height as the previous.
“Hang on a second Rythian. You listen to me, and you listen good! We’re in a new dimension so that means we must work together! I don’t know who bombed your base but it sure as hell wasn’t me!” Now her vision had been fully restored.
In front of her she saw two bipedal creatures, apparently very battered. The blonde one had a lab coat, which was stained with blood and ripped in several parts. Across from him was a brown haired creature who wore a black cloak with an, almost unidentifiable because of the tears, set of purple eyes.
“Fine, but one more slip and I declare full on war, Duncan! I had enough after the nuke. Do you even know how much Zoey got hurt?” The one named Rythian said. ”… So do you have anything to tell us where we are?” He asked, a bit calmer this time.
“Working on it…” Duncan replied, fiddling with a small handheld device. After a bit it exploded. “Ah!” He exclaimed in surprise.
“What the hell just happened?” Rythian asked.
“The bloody thing overloaded. There’s too much information.” Duncan answered.
“Huh… excuse me. Maybe I can help.” Twilight chimed in a bit nervous but excited too.
“Rythian, you’re the magic guy here… should unicorns be capable of speech?” Duncan asked, inches away of freaking out.
“Not that I know of.” Rythian replied with surprise.
“What do you mean? Of course I’m capable of speech!” Twilight said with an insulted tone.
“What has that blue sphere done, Duncan?” Rythian started shaking the scientist.
“It’s an inter-dimensional transporter.” Duncan answered between shakes.
“WHAT?! So you created something to transport people across dimensions? Did you not think about the risks?” Rythian asked.
“Calm down will you?” Duncan said with annoyance, getting Rythian’s hands off his shoulder so the enderborn would stop shaking him. He turned towards Twilight. “Sorry about that, it’s not every day you encounter a creature thought to be mythological. My name is Duncan and this is Rythian. You are?” He asked.
“My name is Twilight Sparkle, nice to meet you. I can’t help but notice you are bleeding in several places.” Twilight said, pointing at their injuries.
“We will be fine, Rythian knows healing spells and I used what little I know of alchemy to create this.” He took out a vial with red liquid and drank it all. “This should be kicking in soon.” He said storing it within his torn lab coat.
“If you don’t mind me asking, what are you?” Twilight asked.
“Well, me and Duncan are Minecraftians.” Rythian said. “But may I know where we are?”
“You’re in Equestria, home to all ponies in Equus.” Twilight said.
“Something’s strange here. I programmed my device to teleport the user to an alternate dimension but still in Minecraftia. Maybe something here interfered.” Duncan said.
“That might’ve been me.” Twilight said with a sheepish grin. “I was trying a new spell to summon creatures from other dimensions and that must be what interfered.”
“Is it safe to go out now?” Spike asked, still behind cover.
“Yes, it is. You can come out now, Spike.” Twilight replied. Upon seeing the purple dragon Rythian jumped back and drew a dagger. Spike, terrified, curled himself into a ball.
“What are you doing?!” Twilight exclaimed.
“He’s a dragon!” Rythian said.
“He is just a baby, he can’t hurt anypony. Besides he’s my assistant and I made sure to raise him with a mentality which made him be nice to everypony.” Twilight said defensively.
“No one in the Tekkit world gets along well with the ender dragon, which is the only dragon back there. We have kinda grown xenophobic because of that.” Duncan explained, as Rythian let his guard down.
“I’ll give you one chance to prove me wrong. If you don’t use it properly I’ll treat you the exact same way I would treat the ender dragon.” Rythian said, warning Spike. The air was so thick it could be cut with a knife. This tension was broken as there was a knock on the door.
“I’ll get it.” Spike said, eager to get as far away as possible from the enderborn. As soon as he opened the door he saw Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. “HI. What are you doing here?” He asked.
“I was flying around when I saw this very bright light, so I decided to get everypony and check what was going on.” Rainbow said. Duncan leaned back seeing who was at the door. Apparently Rainbow saw him because she reacted immediately tackling against him.
“Who are you? What are you? How did you get here? What have you done to Twilight?” She questioned him, paying no attention to her surroundings whatsoever.
“I’m Duncan, a minecraftian scientist, I got here through an inter-dimensional teleporter, and Twilight is right there.” He said pointing at the purple unicorn. “Now get off me before I make you.” He continued with a stern expression.
“Just try it!” Rainbow said with a smirk. Duncan rolled his eyes at her. He put his hands on the ground and pushed back with his whole body, getting into a handstand and, ultimately, on his feet.
“I know my share of tricks for battle.” Duncan said, looking at the dazed pegasus on the floor. “Now, I guess it’s time for introductions… in a much nicer way at least.” He turned towards the ponies who had just entered the room. “I’m Duncan, pleased to meet you.”
“The name’s Rythian, also known as the enderborn.” Rythian said, leaning against a wall.
“Ah’m mighty impressed. It’s rare the pony that can get Rainbow off ‘em.” Applejack said. “Ah’m Applejack, nice to meet ya’.”
“Hi! I’m Pinkie Pie! DO you like parties? When is your birthday? Do you want a cupcake?” Pinkie Pie said at her usual thousand words per minute rate of speech and taking out a cupcake out of nowhere.
“Why not?” Duncan took the cupcake and took a bite. “This. Is. Delicious.” He slowly said, amazed at how great it tasted.
“My name’s Rarity, charmed. But I want to know, what were you doing to get your clothes in such a dreadful state?” Rarity said.
“This guy bombed my base, so I was fighting him.” Rythian said, pointing at Duncan. “You’re lucky that Zoey and Teep survived!”
“For the last time, it wasn’t me!” Duncan exclaimed, almost losing his patience.
“Do I need to remind that your sword is almost broken, while mine is in almost perfect condition?” Rythian asked with a smirk.
“I will not stand for this! As long as you are in this world you will not fight each other! GOT IT?” Twilight said glaring at both and levitating them in a purple aura.
“An’ besides, Duncan ‘ere seems ta be tellin’ the truth. Whatever happened, it wasn’t him.” Applejack said.
“And why should I trust what you say?” Rythian asked.
“Because she’s a walking, talking lie detector.” Twilight said, lowering them. “Anyway, the pony hiding behind the couch is Fluttershy and the pony that you knocked down is Rainbow Dash.” She said looking at Duncan. Suddenly the lights went out.
“Ok… now what?” Duncan asked. As quick as they had gone out the lights went back on, showing all sorts of party related stuff throughout the room.
“Now we party!” Pinkie said appearing out of nowhere.
“How does she do that?” Duncan whispered to Twilight.
“Just don’t try to figure it out and your sanity will remain untouched.” She said, leaving a confused Duncan in the middle of a party.
Let me tell you a story... (currently rewriting)
Breaking the chains of oppression.
Youtube Video
Twenty years… That’s how long I’ve been in this place, this… cage. The Elders encased me, afraid that I could use my powers for evil… or so they said. What kind of people encase a five year old child, to train it to become a ruthless killing machine. I was blind as to what these people were doing, but yesterday… something snapped inside of me.
A visit from one of my old palls, Kimbley, or as people call him, The Prophet. He’s an elderly man, always in a good mood, I feel that if he ever gets mad the world will end. He made me see the light, as to what The Elders were doing, and I did not agree. And now here I am… waiting for the right moment to break free. They might’ve encased my true power… but I’m far from powerless.
I have had enough! The tattoos of chains, constantly reminding me of my imprisonment, began glowing in an azure tone, the ever reminding color of what could’ve been. The light was enough for one to see my body, fully covered with these chain tattoos. The black hair, the azure eyes… one could see every single detail from the intensity of the light.
The chains attaching me to the walls of this room were no match for my newfound strength as they were hastily absorbed by these bindings printed on my body. My screams of pain echoed throughout my chamber as the painful absorption was beginning to take a toll on me. The pain continued even after I absorbed the chains, but I couldn’t care less… I was free
I ran as fast as I could towards the door, slamming against it and taking out whatever poor apprentice was guarding it. I dashed through the halls of the building, heading towards the garden, where some equipment was put by Kimbley for the day I escaped.
A door slammed open as I ran through it and walked into a room filled with mages, apprentices and masters were talking peacefully until that moment. All eyes turned towards me… I had to fight through this one.
One of the mages rushed forward, trying to immobilize me with a shock spell. This was easily dodged by me, as I countered with my own spell. The chain tattoos flared to life as I encased my assailant in the chains I had summoned. I turned towards the crowd as all prepared to take me down. I launched a chain against one of the apprentices, only to be met by a confused stare. This did not last for long as I pulled myself against him and kicked his face.
I turned just in time to dodge a lightning bolt. I saw several spells coming against me and, with another burst of light, a wall of chains formed around me. With a wave of my hand the chains extended forwards, hopefully hitting someone. Due to the sheer number of enemies, hitting someone was easy enough. I once again launched a chain against another one, this time pulling him towards me and smashing him against his allies.
As soon as I landed I launched my chains and used them as whips, hitting everyone within their radius. I was too distracted, though, to see the icicle behind me. I was unable to dodge and was pierced right in the shoulder. The moment I fell from the pain the other mages launched several spells at me.
Consciousness was beginning to leave me as all spells hit. No matter what happened I was not letting them take me again, I was not going back to that cage. I focused all the power I could muster as numerous chains came out of my back, and from the sheer speed, managed to pierce the mages’ bodies, killing them.
With that attack I somehow felt… renewed. Almost as if... I stole the life of these mages. I couldn’t handle the guilt, I had to get as far away as possible. I felt just like new as I continued my run towards the gardens, leaving the bloody battlefield behind, trying to forget the lives I had taken.
I got to the gardens and opened the chest that was in a hidden space, safe from prying eyes. Inside it I saw a sword and some clothes, designed to hide most of my body. I put on the black trench coat and a pair of brown gloves along with a scarf and a wide-brimmed hat to cover my face. Only my eyes could be seen. I stored the sword within my coat as I launched a chain towards a nearby tree, swinging myself into, hopefully, somewhere I could live free.
Stop the music here

“So… Why is there a party?” Duncan asked.
“I throw a party for every new pony in town!” Pinkie replied.
“Rythian… I’m not sure what to say, but I think that, when we leave, our sanity will never be the same.” Duncan muttered to the Enderborn.
“I second that opinion.” Rythian said, pointing at Pinkie, who had just eaten a whole cake in one bite.
“Do you mind if I ask you some questions?” Twilight jumped into the conversation.
“Go ahead.” Duncan motioned for her to continue.
“How’s it like in your world?” She asked.
“Well there are pretty much three factions: Honeydew Inc., which consists of me, a dwarf named Simon and a spaceman called Lewis. There is Sips Co., made by Sips and Sjin, they usually work with Honeydew Inc., tough. And then there is Blackrock, of which are part Rythian, a dinosaur called Teep, and a girl named Zoey.” Duncan explained.
“But there are several people who live apart from the factions. They, however, don’t have much impact in the Tekkit worlds.” Rythian completed. “I can’t help but wonder, tough, why was Minecraftia so cubic when there are worlds with curves everywhere?”
“What do you mean?” Twilight asked.
“In Minecraftia EVERYTHING is cubes! Just don’t question it and you’ll be fine, much like you said about your pink friend.” Duncan said.
“Changing subject, what kind of magic do you have there?” She asked. Rythian took out a few crystals, red, blue, grey, yellow, green and purple.
“We use these shards to fuel our magical power, each charged with one element except for the vis and the dull ones.” He said pointing at the purple and grey crystals. “Through these shards we can create objects that allow us to understand the world through magic.”
“But I think you’re forgetting that our science is also very advanced! When I and Sjin work together we can make basically any machine you can think of! Including Doomsday devices!” Duncan cackled maniacally as a thunder bolt fell just outside. All of the sudden Rainbow appeared at the door.
“Did I do it right?” She asked.
“Thank you Rainbow, your timing was perfect!” Duncan said, suddenly serious. Out of nowhere a scream was heard.
“Monster, at the border of the Everfree, everypony run for their lives!” Duncan and Rythian looked at each other and with a nod they were off. The confused ponies following soon after.
“Where is this Everfree?” Rythian asked.
“It’s that way!” Twilight said, pointing in the direction of the forest.
<…>
Monster… that was what I was called by that pony. Are they just not used to humans, or did it see just the blood-thirsty war machine the elders tried to make me? Whatever happened, I didn’t care. I followed the road Kimbley told me to, hopefully guiding me to him. It would be good to start a new life with an old friend by my side.
I resumed walking towards the town, in which frenzy could be seen. Ponies ran everywhere for their lives but my attention was focused on the group heading towards me. Two humans and six ponies. The humans’ clothes were a bit tattered, so I assumed they were engaging in a battle against something, or each other, before I arrived. I took my hand inside my trench coat and let it rest on the hilt of my sword.
“Who are you?” The human in black cape asks.
“Depends on who’s asking.” I reply tightening the grip on my sword. I saw the two humans looking at each other, confused. I did not take notice, however, of a pony approaching me.
“Hello my name is Twilight Sparkle, and you are?” She asked.
“I go by the name Alligat. And if you don’t mind I need to keep going.” I said. I had no time to lose for I didn’t want to keep Kimbley waiting.
“Can you tell me where you’re going?” She asked. I searched within my coat and took out a map. I showed it to the pony. “Why would you want to go to Canterlot?”
“A friend is waiting for me there. And he is very powerful, with abilities unlike any other. That’s why I mustn’t keep him waiting.” I answered.
“Maybe you could go with us! I was going to ask for a audience between the princesses, Rythian and Duncan tomorrow, to try and figure out on how to get home anyway.” She said. I pondered my options for a moment. On one hand, if I went with them it would probably be faster as they would have a means of transportation. On the other hand, would it make up for the time lost?
“Hey we can get home ourselves! I just need the materials to rebuild the machine, and that should be ready with a few hours of mining!” The human in labcoat exclaimed.
“Just take the help Duncan.” The other said.
“Mark my words Rythian! We shall get home with science not magic!” The one named Duncan snapped back.
“Why not both?” I barely heard the yellow pegasus, ignored by everyone but me.
“Are you usually ignored like this?” I asked, startling the pegasus.
“Oh, uhm… I’m not being ignored, usually everypony doesn’t hear me, due to my low voice.” She explained.
“Then allow me.” I approached the fighting humans. “Why not overclock the machine with magic, taking you back to your world?” They both stopped and looked at me.
“That… might work.” Duncan said, rubbing his chin.
“Thank the yellow pony.” I said, pointing at her with a gloved hand.
“How have you learned about machines in a world that has very underdeveloped technology? From what I’ve seen at least.” Rythian said.
“That is something I’m not willing to talk.” I areplied.
“One more thing. How come you trust us this easily?” He asked. This drew curious stares from the others.
“Yeah, you don’t look like you would just be this friendly to somepony so easily.” A blue pegasus added.
“Because I can tell by the way you act and the way the humans dress that you do not work for the Elders. That is all I will say for now.” I jumped on to a roof. “And for the record I do not trust you just yet. You’re just a means to an end… at the moment.” I added, lying down and trying to sleep.
<…>
A few moments later, in Canterlot Celestia received a letter from her student. The letter told of three humans, staying in Ponyville for the night, and it also requested for an audience with her. The name of the last human made her eyes widen. “Well I must say I’m a bit impressed, Kimbley. Your powers have not decayed at all in the past few years.” She said.
In front of her stood another human. This one was a bit aged, with light grey hair and a bushy mustache. His large brown eyes looked at Celestia in amusement. “Did you ever doubt my skill Celly? I’m not called the prophet in vain.” He chuckled while straightening his brown vest and white shirt.
“I never said that. But powers usually decay with age.” She replied. This resulted in a light laugh by Kimbley.
“In five-thousand years my powers have stayed the same. But tell me, who are the other humans with him?” Kimbley asked.
“According to what Twilight says in the letter, they’re called Rythian and Duncan.” Celestia said. Kimbley took out the glove on his right hand, revealing the drawing of an eye. The eye began glowing green.
“And Tempes is almost out too! I’m sure that the Azure Flame and the Crimson Wind will make a great team! And we’re gonna need it too, for The Primordials will soon strike, led by The Elders. As for the Mad Scientist and the Enderborn… let’s see if we can get them on our side.” Kimbley said.
“Let us hope that they are powerful enough.” Celestia replied.
Let me tell you a story... (currently rewriting)
Crimson winds... clashing chains
“Is it just me… or did he fall asleep on a roof?” Rythian asked.
“I think so.” Duncan tilted his head quizzically while looking at the sleeping human.
“And just exactly why did you think it was a good idea to invite him?” Rainbow asked Twilight.
“I don’t know… there’s something about him. He needs friends.” Twilight replied.
“Mind ta’ explain? Applejack asked.
“Something weird happened when he looked at me. I felt years of agony, pain and loneliness stored within his eyes. I can’t really explain.” Twilight answered.
“And that’s why you invited him?” Rarity asked.
“Yes. Maybe if he meets this friend in Canterlot he’ll get better.” Twilight said.
“I saw it too. That’s a look I’m all too familiar with. If he has a friend then it’s for the best that they are reunited.” Rythian said with crossed arms, his purple eyes looking at Alligat. “But I saw something else about him.”
“What?” Twilight asked.
“Chains. There was a cross of black chains on his eyes.” Rythian explained. “I have heard of this before, and if my assumptions are correct then Alligat is much more powerful than he looks.”
“Just how powerful are we talking about?” Duncan asked.
“Power neither me nor you can possibly phantom.” Rythian answered.
“That does not explain why he didn’t stay awake for the party!” Pinkie Pie chimed in.
“Taking into account that he went through the Everfree he must be very tired. And that also explains how he immediately fell asleep.” Twilight replied.
“No, that makes no sense. He was thinking and talking fluently, and his movements were not sloppy as one would have if one was tired.” Rythian said.
“We’ll have to clarify that with him tomorrow.” Duncan said. “Changing subject, did you bring any wood?”
“You’re lucky I have three stacks.” Rythian replied.
“What are you talking about? I don’t see any wood.” Twilight said.
“So you don’t have the inventory system?” Duncan asked, resulting on a quizzical tilt by the ponies. Duncan sighed. “The inventory system lets us carry many more items than physically possible for us. It lets us carry stacks of sixty four cubic metres of a certain material per inventory space. Rythian has one hundred and ninety two cubic metres of wood in his inventory. That’s how things work in Minecraftia, we have inventories.” He explained.
“Interesting… Is it some kind of magic or technology?” Twilight asked.
“Legend tells that the first Minecraftian, Steve was his name, was enchanted by Notch, the creator. This enchantment allowed Steve to break the blocks of Minecraftia with relative ease and it gave him the inventory system. We’re not sure if it’s the truth, though, it might be just some technology implanted in us when we’re born.” Rythian explained. “Now if you don’t mind, me and Duncan are going to get to work.”
“Work?” Rainbow asked. “Work on what?”
“Why did you think I asked for the wood?” Duncan asked taking a stack of wood Rythian was giving him. “Build a house of course!”
“And you’re gon’ do it right now?”Applajack asked with skepticism.
“Watch us.” Duncan replied with a grin and setting down a block of wood making the ponies gasp in awe. Duncan set another one, and another, until eventually he had the basic structure. “Impressed already? Well there’s more!” He said filling in the walls and setting blocks of glass every few metres. “Now for the finishing touch.” The ponies heard Duncan say from inside the building before light began coming out of the windows. Duncan then walked outside and set two torches and doors. “And voilà!” Duncan said with a bow, the ponies clapped as if they were in a show.
“You’re a bit full of yourself aren’t you Duncan?” Rythian said, standing in the front of a wooden building, much smaller than Duncan’s.
“Don’t you think that’s a bit small?” Duncan asked.
“It’s all I need.” Rythian simply replied.
“Okay then. So you said tomorrow we’re going to Canterlot or whatever it’s called, right?” Duncan said, looking at Twilight.
“It’s likely but maybe the princess is busy, so I can’t promise anything.” Twilight replied.
“You heard that Rythian? We’re going to meet a princess!” Duncan said.
“I heard that perfectly! Now stop bothering me!” Rythian slammed the door of his house.
“Why is he so mean to you?” Pinkie asked.
“He hates my guts because he has reasons to do so…” Duncan simply replied, turning serious for a moment and confusing the ponies. “Well, I’ll see you all tomorrow!” He said, back to his cheerful tone and walking into his house.
“What do you think he meant?” Rarity asked.
“Maybe he’s a mad scientist and he did something to Rythian.” Rainbow said scaring slightly the others.
“Don’t be silly Rainbow, he is a nice guy! He would never do anything too bad!” Twilight responded.
“You’ve only known him for a day, Twi! There’s still a lot we can learn about him.” Rianbow replied.
“You know what? We’ll just talk more about this tomorrow. This was a lot to take in.” Twilight said. The ponies said goodbye to each other and headed back to their respective houses.
<…>
Next morning…
Duncan and Rythian stood by the front of the library with the ponies, waiting for Alligat. “Where is that guy?” Rainbow impatiently asked.
“Rainbow’s right. I would assume that he’s the guy that is rarely late.” Duncan said. Suddenly Rythian threw a dagger at the top of the library.
“About time someone found me.” Alligat’s voice came out of the top of the tree. Alligat immediately jumped off and landed in front of them, Rythian’s dagger in hand.
“You really are well trained for battle.” Rythian said.
“I’d rather not have to use my training anytime soon.” Alligat said as he returned the dagger.
“Now that we’re all here… Let’s get going!” Duncan exclaimed. “But where to?” He started looking around.
“A carriage should arrive any time soon.” Twilight said. As if on cue, the carriage appeared, two white pegasi on the front.
“If I wanted to fly I have my Power Suit!” Duncan declared as he pressed a button on his wrist watch, causing a white and light green suit of armor to materialize around him. “See?”
“Whoa, that was amazing!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Huh… I’ll go in. I don’t want to waste any energy.” Rythian said taking a glance at Duncan.
“Two words: rechargeable batteries.” Duncan deadpanned.
“Let’s just get going already, geez!” Rainbow rolled her eyes. Alligat looked with curiosity and what could be identified as nostalgia towards the blue Pegasus.
‘So impatient… reminds me of him.’ He thought.
<…>
Soon they arrived at the castle. “I like mine better.” Duncan immediately said as the armor dematerialized.
“You have a castle?” Twilight asked.
“Not sure if you’ve seen it yesterday but Minecraftians are great builders. This guy even had a massive telescope on his castle.” Rythian said.
“Ah… good times!” Duncan said reminiscing the times he gazed at the stars through his telescope.
Alligat took out the map Kimbley gave him. “It says that he is here… What have you done now?” Alligat’s muttering went unnoticed except by Rarity.
“Mind telling me what you are talking about?” She asked.
“It’s nothing. If this thing is correct you’ll see him soon enough either way.” Alligat answered.
They all proceeded to the throne room with relative calmness, as there was no event to disrupt it except for the background asking and answering between Twilight and Duncan.
Upon entering the throne room Alligat saw someone he recognized.
“Alligat! You’re here!” Kimbley said in a welcoming tone and with a large smile on his face. “Come on Celly, say hello to Alligat and the other human.” Kimbley nudged the white alicorn with his elbow.
“Greetings humans. And hello my little ponies.” Celestia grreted her visitors.
“Kimbley, what is going on?” Alligat asked.
“Do you not remember this place? I guess twenty one years is a lot of time for you… Well this is Canterlot castle, home to two of my best friends: Celestia and Luna, rulers of Equestria.” Kimbley answered. “As for the rest of you… My name is Kimbley, known as The Prophet and a friend of Alligat’s.” Kimbley introduced himself with a bow. “Pleased to meet you.”
“Well I’m-” Twilight began but got interrupted by Kimbley.
“You’re Twilight Sparkle, student of Celestia and element of magic, I know. Celestia has talked a lot about all of you. As for you enderborn and scientist, there’s also no need to introduce yourselves for I already examined thoroughly your introductions to Twilight.” He said.
“Why would you do that?” Rythian asked.
“Because I like to examine when something that will change the world happens. Oops, I said too much!” Kimbley said covering his mouth. He just shook it off with a laugh. “Oh and someone is gonna come here soon Alligat. Someone you haven’t seen in a long time.”
“Are you talking about-” Alligat began but was interrupted as a human came through a hole in the wall where there was supposed to be a window. Rarity could swear she heard Kimbley whisper to Celestia. “Told you.”
“Okay, I’m here and ready to kick ass! What did you call me for Kimbley?” The blonde human asked, crimson eyes looking at his friend.
“Tempes, it’s about time! Do you know who’s standing there?” Kimbley pointed at Alligat.
“I’d say he’s lil’ Ally from the way you’re talking but that’s not possible.” Tempes replied
“Do you not remember your own brother?” Alligat asked as he took off his hat, scarf, gloves and jacket, revealing his face along with two vertical strands of chains going through his eyes and chain tattoos doing a double helix as they circled around his arms.
Tempes glared at Alligat. “How do you dare say you’re him?” Tempes slowly said, his red shirt and grey trousers were gently swayed by an invisible breeze.
“That’s because I am him.” With that, a gust of crimson wind blew against Alligat, knocking him back to a wall.
“Tempes what are you doing?” Kimbley asked.
“Stay out of this, Kimbley! This bastard is impersonating my brother! We both know he was taken away by the Elders for whatever reason, we both know that he had a flame tattoo on his right hand and we both damn well know that his mood was much more cheerful! I refuse to believe that guy is my brother!”
“Why don’t you stop him Kimbley?” Celestia whispered.
“The events are already defined Celly. I couldn’t change anything if I wanted to. Time works in strange manners you see?” Kimbley whispered back.
“You don’t believe me? FINE THEN!” Alligat proceeded to hit the ground with his fist as his tattoos glowed in an azure tone. Almost immediately Tempes got encased in chains.
“Ah! You’re gonna have to do better than that to stop me!” Wind began to pick up and soon it pushed so hard against the chains that they snapped under the pressure.
“I don’t want to fight you brother!” Alligat yelled.
“Lil’ Ally never called me brother!” Tempes said as he showed the back of his right hand. On it, was a tattoo of a hurricane which glowed crimson as he formed a small red typhoon right on top of Alligat, sucking him in.
“That’s it! You want to fight? THEN I’LL FIGHT!” Alligat launched chains towards the ceiling support beams and pushed himself, getting out of the pull of the typhon and kicking Tempes in the face. “And I’m just two years younger than you.” Alligat deadpanned.
“So you know mine and Alligat’s age? That means nothing!” Tempes summoned a red bow of wind, firing three arrows, all blocked by Allligat’s sword. Suddenly Tempes charged at blinding speeds and punched Alligat’s face. “You can’t stop the wind!” As Tempes was about to launch a devastating gale Kimbley interrupted.
“I’VE HAD ENOUGH!” His voice resonated throughout the chamber. “Do you want to know what happened to Alligat? DO YOU ALL WANT TO KNOW WHAT THIS MAN HAS GONE THROUGH? Well let me show you!” The eye tattoo on Kimbley’s hand began glowing green as an ethereal circle appeared in front of everyone. “This is my portal of time. It allows me to show others what happened in the past and I’m going to use it to show you all what Alligat went through.”
An image of a young child playing with his brother appeared. “Son of the Crimson Flame and the Azure Wind, Alligat grew up normally. His family and friends by his side. But at the age of five he was captured by the Elders, rulers of the human society in this world.”
“I’ve never heard of humans in Equestria.” Twilight said.
“We live in hiding, but we prosper, in part due to my connection with the outside of Icaria, the country humans live in. The Elders wanted to train him for their army of mages but there was something in their way.” The picture changed to the child standing in front of mages with robes of four different colors: blue, green, white and black. The mages were discussing something as the child stared at the tattoo of a flame.
“You see… Alligat has a power of legend called the Azure Flame. This flame stopped any kind of corruption and mind control from affecting the wielder along with giving him powers over fire. The Elders needed to control him to ensure he wouldn’t rebel. They encased the flame within the chain bindings you see on his body, only when they’re broken will he be able to use his flames.”
The picture shifted to Alligat bound by chains and Kimbley talking to him. “One day I freed Alligat from the mind control spell and then he broke out. I would advise the sensible ones to look away.” Fluttershy and Rarity closed their eyes. Then Kimbley played the scene of Alligat breaking out of the building, the absorption, the battle, the running, everything was seen.
Upon ending Tempes was lost for words “Holy shit! My bro’s a badass! Sorry about that a bit ago.” He said with a sheepish grin.
“I know how you are. And I definitely know how strong you are, so I knew what to expect, allowing me to protect against the worst of injuries. In the end there was no harm done.” Alligat said hugging his brother.
“Well I guess I owe you all an introduction.” Tempes said, turning towards the others.
