200 years ago Equestria got into a war after over 1000 years of peace,all because of a fuel known as coal.

Equestria needed coal and the zebra's in they're lands had coal,so started what began as trade stopped when the zebra's stopped giving coal to Equestria, war broke out and ended through the use of megaspells causing the world to turn into the wasteland It is today.

Inside of a small crevice slept an Alicorn who had been sleeping ever since the megaspells detonated.

"Well look what we have here and you said there wouldn't be anything in here" said a raider to another.

"Fine you were right Edge" said the other raider with annoyance in her tone to the now identified raider named Edge.

The two continued to talk but unknown to them was the fact that they're "prize" had awoken and taken the opportunity to gather some rocks while using a illusion Spell to make a perfect copy in his place."Enough chit chat, let's drag him back to the others" Edge said going to grab the illusion causing the spell to fade "WHERE DID HE GO!" screamed Edge only for him to turn around to find his friend dead blood gushing from the recent blow to her head. When realization hit so did the rock held by none other than me, BlazingFallouts.

I trotted out of the hole with a newly acquired combat knife,binoculars,and saddlebags on my sides storing the former in my saddlebags for later use. In the distance I saw a settlement and decided to try my luck there

It would be a long trot to the settlement so to pass the time I decided play i spy (be warned that it was going to take a while to reach the settlement without death by boredom). Eventually i encountered one of those prewar Sprite bots used by the Ministry Of Morale to watch the ponies (and zebras) of Equestria.It hovered around playing old music when it cut off to reveal the voice of a stallion calling himself Red Eye in the result of sheer boredom I used a levitation spell to lift it higher and crash it into the ground. It let off a small explosion along with sparks and metal scraps sent across a small area but that's not all that flew out. Along with the bits and pieces a couple of energy cells flew out of the machines built in laser pistol. Knowing that they might be helpful I picked them up and continued my trot over to the settlement. I stopped a few minutes away from the small settlement and levitated the binoculars from my saddlebags and peered through them.

The settlement was abandoned nopony had been there for a long time now. I trotted down a hill only to trip and fall down it leaving my mane messed up so much that I couldn't see my own horn. "uggggghhh I'll fix it later." I said to myself. Finally I arrived in the deserted town searching for any survivors from the war.

Pre-war knowledge: due to you being alive before the megaspells you are more effective with pre-war weaponry than others and thus gain a extra 5 points into both guns and energy weapons.
