Chapter 1
Fluttershy looked down at her newly enlarged stomach. Insantly, it put a large smile on her face. Days were spent around the fire with Big Mac, trying to figure out a name, guessing it's color for hair, eyes, coat. It was not as difficult as some ponys thought, to be pregnant. Sure, there were cravings, and morning sickness; but otherwise, she enjoyed it. Mac liked to feel the baby kick, and listen to its steady heart beat.
As she was pouring over the last 8 months, Nurse Red Heart Informed her that the Doctor will see her now. "Hi, Doctor." She greeted him happily. "Hello there, Fluttershy!" Doctor Stable returned the greeting. "How have you been these past months? Any long periods of pain, kicking?" When she shook her head no, he smiled widely. "Great. Now, how about we take a look at that foal, hm?" He asked, setting up the ultrasound. Cold jelly hit her large stomach, then the device began searching for the body of a growing foal. "Ah!" Doctor sighed happily. "There she is!" A small gasp escaped from Fluttershy's mouth.
"It- it's a... a she?" Reaching down, she found her purse. then searched it for her cell phone. A few texts were already there. First, from Rainbow Dash. "Hey! U got the jelly on your belly yet? LOL." Fluttershy giggled softly. Next, Twilight. "Hey, Fluttershy. Is it a girl or a boy? Tell me when you find out!" Quickly she texted back to both of them. "It's a girl!!! :)"
As soon as she got out of the hospital, she called Mac. After a few rings, the phone was answered.
"Hello?" Mac's deep voice answered. "Hey. I just went to the doctor." Fluttershy said, as she attempted to get in the car. "Oh... Is it-?" Before he could finish, she inturrupted him. "It's a girl Mac. It's a girl!" She shouted happily. There was no why to discribe this day. "I'ma comin' home as soon as I can, sweetie. I will get off work. I promise." She can't let him do that! His work is his life, he loves it. "No, you don't have to-" This time, he inturrupted her. "Yes! I do, and I will!" He shouted in the phone. Honestly, she was to shocked too reply. "I.. Oh my.. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'ma coming home, you're gonna need help."
One month later, Fluttershy was flipping through channels when she started to feel wet. Sighing, she began to go to the bathroom; in her pregnacy, she had peed on herself quite often. Stopping herself quickly, she rushed to the garage, where Mac was fixing something or another; all the way, she says "Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!". Mac looked up from his doohicky, and said. "Fluttershy what are you- Oh my! We need to get you to the hospital!" Mac said urgently.
Mac's fingers were probably all broken, and he was probably deafer than Granny Smith. The hospital room was full of screaming. Twilight and the rest of the gang were surprised that Fluttershy could even begin to scream that loud. "GET IT OUT!" She screamed, squeezing Mac's hand harder. He cringed, and his sister, Apple Jack, placed a helpful hand on his shoulder. Eventually, after lots of screaming and bones popping; a small filly was placed in Fluttershy's hands. "She's beautiful Mac." Fluttershy said lovingly. "What is her name?" Doctor Stable asked politely.
"Flourish."
Flourish was a beautiful filly. She had her mothers pink mane, and yellow coat. Her father's eyes were her's as well. "Mommy! Mommy!" She cried out to her mother, who was walking, slowly, out of the house.
"Hold-Hold on darling!!" Stepping lightly out of the house, she got in and started the car. The arrived at the middle school shortly. Blossom had been home schooled her whole life, and now she wanted to make lots of new friends! Fluttershy got out, and got Flourish out. "Mom!" She cried out again. "I can get myself out, thank you!" Barely holding in a tear, she responded. "I know... I know"
"Got your backpack?" She asked.
"Yes." Flourish replied before sighing heavily.
"Lunch box?"
"Yes."
"Text books?"
"Yes!"
Flourish heaved a long sigh, then walked into the Ponyville Middle School. There, she was greeted by a white pony with a light pinkish mane. "Hello!" The white pony said politely. Her voice was fancy. She was probably Rarity's daughter. "I'm Czarina Wreath, Rarity daughter. Spice and I will show you around."
A tan pony with a dark brown hair that had white and pink speaks. "Hey, hi, and He----llo! I'm Pineapple Spice, if you didn't know!" Flourish giggled at her happiness. Wait, did she just laugh? That was weird...
After school, Flourish dropped her bag at the door and put on a small jacket, then headed outside. Flourish had some great new friends to hang with. All 6 of them were blank flanks; for now. They had made a pact. To search for a special talent. Flourish didn't know it yet, but her mother and father knew it from the start; she would be a fantastic dancer. Czarina was good with plants, Pinapple Spice could bake everything, Starshine Dash was good with machines, LionHeart was a great author, and Apple Specter could tell you a specific species of apple, anywhere.
"Hey there, Flourish!" Apple Specter greeted her happily, then put her in his strong arms. "We've been waiting."
"Yes, quite!" Czarina said, furious. "Forever, it seems!"
"Yeah, Yeah," Flourish apologized. "Sorry." Claping her hands together, she got a note book from her bag, and begin telling everyone some ideas she had for testing talents. "I think I might go to a dance class." she began. "I was listening to my mom's CD's, and I just started moving. My dad caught me, and told me I was great."
Lion thought for a moment, then he grabbed her note book, and began to doodle something. "What cha doing?" Pineapple hovered over the paper, pointing at certain places and muttering. Eventually, they finished. LionHeart turned it around, and it was quite a confusing picture.
"Is it a cow?" Flourish asked.
"Maybe it's a apple tree." Contered Specter.
"You think everything's a apple tree!"
A sour look found its way on Lion's face. "It's a tree house." He grunted. Czarina giggled, then took the note book and turned it around then placed it back in his hands. "Oh." He said, defeated.
"I was thinking we could build one. For when it rains and stuff."
It was a simple design, built on 8 stable stands, four on each side, four in the middle, it was stable. It had a tree going up the middle, and it was pretty large. He put a ramp with some boards for support when it's being walked up.
"Let's do it!" Flourish said excitedly.
A few weeks later, a nice tree house was built. Mostly built by Apple Specter, though. With his strong arms, and years of shaking apple out of 20 foot trees gives you quite the pecs. Filled with furniture, like a couch, and a map of Equestria, they could do their quest, even if rain did pelt them on the way.
All the rest of the crew agreed that Flourish should go take a dance class. So she did. When she arrived, it was more than whate she wanted. As you walked it you could see mirriors everywhere, and support rods lined the middle of them. Flourish set her bag down on a long bench next to the door and sat down. After a few minutes, a elegant pink earth pony with brown hair that was braided down her back entered.
"One student this year. Again." She muttered. "What is your name child?" Her voice had a strange tang to it. Where in the world is she from? Flourish thought. "Um, Uh.." She stuttered, trying to get her words
"Spit it out, girl!" The women yelled.
Flourish stood up, and pushed a yellow finger in her face. "I am Flourish, and you will teach me how to dance!"
The women didn't looked shocked at all. In fact, she looked happy. "Fiesty! I love it! My name is Aurora. Now, let us dance!"
"No practice? No lessons?" Flourish prodded.
"Dancing is in the heart. and soul. Not in practices. You must move to the music, alone. if you are a true dancer, you will need no lessons. Just to be here and dance together, is practice." Aurora said, hopeful
Putting on a CD, she watched Flourish move, tapping her mistake areas. Aurora kept saying things like.
"Move the feet!"
"You're not a stripper, butt still!"
"Use your hands."
Flourish liked this women.
