My name is Nathaniel Lloyd. I am nineteen years old and attend the University of Virginia in Charlottesville as a freshman. I had always knew my life to be a normal and peaceful one, a life without worry or danger. That was until one fateful day, when a group dark cloaked men with mysterious powers that I have never witnessed befored attacked me on my way to college, and I was suddenly teleported to another world that is called Equestria. It is like Earth and the people there are mostly human, but it is filled with magic and wonders that my world has never contained. But a terrible darkness is growing within this world and my home, and the only way to stop the upcoming madness and return home is to uncover an ancient secret that has been lost for eons. In these times I will learn the true meaning of friendship, fear, power, and love as I will face the most important challenge of my entire life.

NOTE: Before you read this fanfic I just wanted to pointed out that the main character has a Christian background, but don't worry he will not turn any of the MLP members to Christianity, and they will ask him some questions about his faith and beliefs from time to time. The story is mostly from a 1st person view but certain chapters in the future will be written in 3rd person as well. The protagnist is African American and wears glasses.
