She woke with a start and realized she was still in the horrible large room but this time there was somepony there she immediately scrambled up off the ground and onto four hooves, she stumbled and fell into the hooves of a blue pony who said simply “Why didn’t you brush your teeth?” and everything went black. “I heard Carrot Top went missing a while ago” said Twilight worriedly. “Oh don’t worry about that” Pinkie replied excitedly “it’s the bi-annual healthcare check-up for everypony in Ponyville”. Twilight always wondered why the healthcare check-up even happened in Ponyville, surely the ponies would know to keep themselves healthy, and they aren’t that much different to Canterlot ponies anyway. We all know to brush but we never think about the consequences if we don’t… The Wonderbolts twirled and spun in the sky leaving behind their trademark smoke trails. Rainbow Dash was too mesmerized by their performance to notice that there was only 5 of them, she moved toward the landing strip when they landed in perfect unison, to ask them why ‘Soarin wasn’t there. "Oh, he called in sick today" replied the captain of the high flying squad Spitfire "he was sounding rougher than ever, I'm getting more worried as the day goes on". An apple a day keeps the Doctor away? 'Soarin awoke and noticed a blue pony in the corner of a dark and deceptively small room "Colgate?" he said "Oh thank Celestia it's you". She approached him which was when he realized he was strapped down in a dentist's chair. She was grinning, he realised she was holding a drill. "Of course" he said with uncertaintity "I missed my dental check-up" she came closer and fired up the drill, but she hadn't asked him to open wide then he saw the shelves upon shelves of nuzzles and teeth all covered in blood. He passed out. I wonder were our baby teeth go? Applejack raced through Ponyville heading straight for Twilight's library. She arrived and bucked the door open. "My Sis' been kidnapped!!!" the frantic mare yelled as twilight and Spike quickly descended the stairs into the main library. "Wait, somepony took Applebloom?" Spike asked urging the pony to calm down. "Spike don't ask stupid questions!" Twilight said nudging him slightly "do you know who it was?" Let me know if this hurts... Applebloom woke up on the familiar seat which she knew and feared so much the dentist chair. She saw Colgate and assumed she had passed out on the way to her check-up at the dentist but that Applejack had taken her anyway. "Is this just routine then?" she asked this was before she noticed the large surgical saw the unicorn was hiding. Colgate's horn illuminated the room and the small filly looked in terror at the rows of bloodied shelves stacked high with gruesome dental paraphanalia. No matter what you try the dentist can tell if you lie... "What is this?" Applebloom asked petrified of the answer. Colgate leaned closer and replied in a jolly tone "You know you're the only pony ever to ask" She walked over to a desk and picked up a tatty and bloodied clipboard "none of the other colts and fillies are that interested...they just accept it". Applebloom fought back tears as she struggled to comprehend her situation...She heard the high pitched screech of a saw as it sliced through layers of pony corpses, Applebloom recognised many ponies there she saw Carrot Top, 'Soarin and the so-called Great and Powerful Trixie, horn snapped and skull half sawn. I wonder why we fear those who help us? "Okay, Okay, slow down" said Twilight calmly "what happened?". Applejack, who had finally recovered from shock, replied shakily "We were walking to the dentist when I heard a yelp, it sounded like Winona" The mare hung her head in shame "I turned around to see what she was up to, but when I looked back Applebloom was gone...". Twilight tried to comfort the shattered mare but despite her best efforts the once vigilant pony was now locked up in fear. The line between pleasure and pain is thin indeed... Applebloom let out a small squeak of fear. It was all she could do. Colgate was preparing many surgical tools all of which looked large and scary in the low light of the small dentistry. "I'm not a dentist, you know" said Colgate calmly "many think I am but really I just care too much about dental hygiene" she walked over to the terrified filly and pricked her with a small syringe, Applebloom felt the morphine from inside the syringe quickly rush around her body she went completely numb and passed out after three more injections. "Come on don't give up now" Applebloom heard as she woke from what she hoped was an awful nightmare "we've still got lots of fun to have!" It only gets scary when you think about it... Applejack ran through the streets of ponyville through the masses of mares all doing their day to day business as though nothing were wrong, because of course for them there wasn't, but for Applejack it was the worst and most terrifying day of her life. She heard screams coming from a small building so she burst in, all she saw was Pinkie dressed as a pig singing in front of two screaming children, Applejack was curious but had no time to question it. She just kept running, searching. She found many small buildings which could have been suspected but after bucking 20 doors she found nothing. The mare began to give up hope. I just don't understand... Applebloom cried as the small surgical saw penetrated her muscle, her jaw was burning and she could feel nothing below her waist. Colgate was incredibly precise with the incision she had made behind the fillies teeth, Applebloom only wished the precision had lasted as the mare ripped the skin away from the side of the terrified and agonized fillie's face. "It just makes it easier you see" Colgate said seemingly oblivious to the fillie's agony "To observe the condition of your gnashers!" Colgate's ideaology was that there was no point staring into an open mouth because it was dark but of course she could shed a lot more light on it by removing the skin. No hope... Applejack had all but given up, she thought she would never find her sister. "Oh shoot, Twi I don't think I'm ever gonna find her" Applejack said, her voice heavy with meloncholy. Suddenly she heard sobbing coming from a small hatch bearing a sign saying "[WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE ENTER AT OWN RISK]". "She must be in there!" Applejack yelled with hope and excitement. But when she burst in all she found was Colgate, sat crying in a pool of blood. Applebloom's seemingly lifeless body lay on the table beside her, Colgate's sobs soon became giggle which rose into full laughter. She pulled the surgical saw down through her cranium, her empty husk fell to the floor, devoid of life. There was a splutter, followed by tears and shouting incoherently about sisters. Applejack turned to see her little sister awake strapped down and with only half a face. The filly saw her older sister and before she could express her love and gratitude, she passed out from blood loss. The body is a frail thing. Applebloom woke to see her sister and the Cutie Mark Crusaders all gathered round a pristine white bed that she recognised immediately as a bed of Ponyville Hospital. She was safe but she needed to ask "What happened?". "Well it's too horrific to even go into but you've made a fantastic recovery" said a calm voice from behind all the other ponies, a nurse walked around the bed and moved the covers up, "would you like a mirror?" she asked sympathetically. Applebloom nodded and stared into the mirror that the nurse held up. "Are you okay?" The nurse asked. "What happened?" the small and weak filly murmured slowly "Why is my face-" She was cut off before she could continue. "it's okay the bandage is only temporary until the skin heals up" the nurse said in a soothing voice "You took quite a beating. You're a strong little filly, just try to keep away from bucking for about a week, have some rest." Applebloom went home with her Sister and her best friends but still she couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn't all there on the inside, she felt like she'd lost a part of herself...
