Prologue
Hello my name is Kevin Howell Thomas Lane.
I am about to tell you my story some may think that this is from someone else's imagination but I assure you that I was real. But I have been informed that due to the amount of time I have been in equestria all records of my existence have faded away.
My life before equestria was boring seeing as I was taken away at 5 but I can appreciate all that I have gone through to get to where I am now.
But I will be honest with you there are always going to be moments of hardship in anyone's life but it takes a lot of effort to do something about it.
Anyway my story started with a nightmare and then a dream and ended with possibly one of the happiest moments of my life but I'll get to that later for now I'll start from the beginning...
31st December 1999 0:00am Age: 3 years old
I struggled to sleep as night terrors had been stopping me from having a good nights rest. I eventually drifted off unable to keep myself awake.
I suddenly awoke dazed and confused only to find myself in a forest alone and frightened or so I thought... as I walked through the forest I had started to hear what sounded like nails to a chalkboard and it was absolutely terrifying but not nearly as terrifying as the thing that was making the noise...
I looked back to where I'd come from only to find my mother chasing me with an axe. I ran as fast as I could going deeper and deeper through the dense forest.
As I ran through the forest I kept getting that feeling of helplessness and of pure terror and of no escape. I ran for what felt like half an hour when I saw a strange light and with no other way of getting out and willing to try anything I ran in the direction of the light.
I eventually managed to get to the source of the light it was a bright white torch I had a thought in my mind thinking “this would be a good idea for a video game” but I needed to focus on getting out of here I grabbed the torch only for a bright flash of light to temporarily blind me.
I was now back in my room the terrifying nightmare fresh in my mind I got up and went downstairs to watch some tv.
That nightmare occurred to me for around a year afterwards then I had one rather odd dream that occurred early in 2001 on my fifth birthday no less.
26th October 2001 23:00pm Age:5
The dream had started very oddly I found myself floating in midair for about thirty seconds before landing on what looked to be a red carpet with a odd golden rim on the outside.
I looked at the spectacle before me in front of me stood a huge white pony very tall it almost seemed as though she was the embodiment of beauty and grace and when I asked her who she was she replied “That is not really of importance at the moment but my name is Princess Celestia and I have brought you infront of me to tell you that your life will change forever over the course of the next few months” wondering what she meant I asked her to elaborate and she said “I will do so in good time for now it's time for you to wake up” I was about to speak when I felt the floor fall beneath me…
I woke.
February 26th 2002 9:00am
I am now five years old and that dream has been getting me nervous as if something was going to happen soon but what really got me thinking was why a pony was in my dream and what could it mean.?
All these questions rushed through my head as I sat on the child seat of my fathers bike and looked forward to my first day of school and when I got to school it went well until some kid started to bully me.
My brother James was about to stop him when I flipped and started hitting him constantly I don't know what got into me but I kept hitting him over and over again.
The kid had drawn blood and possibly broken some of his ribs but I didn't care about that my main thought was “WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!.
February 26th 2002 7.00 pm
I was never really well equated with the British justice system but they told my mother that she could be sued if the parents of that “fuck” wanted to make a case.
Almost immediately after the police officer had left my mum walked to me not saying a word and started strangling me eventually she let go of me I ran upstairs grabbed a small speaker that was in my room and threw it at her and hit her chest the impact caused her to fall down the stairs in spectacular fashion landing flat on her fucking face.
She fell down the stairs with a crash I didn’t kill her but she got knocked the fuck out I didn't want to risk waking that bitch up so I climbed out of my window and down the trellis and had started to walk away from my abusive parents and toward safety,tranquility and sanctuary...
It had been over an hour since I ran away from my home and any hope of getting away was slowly fading as my mother was on tv pleading for someone to find me as if she fucking cared she viewed me as her property and she could do what she wanted with me unfortunately she would never find me.
Though there was one time the police had caught me whilst I was sleeping luckily I noticed just before they grabbed me and I ran towards the fire exit of a nearby restaurant that just so happened to be open at the time and made my way upstairs opening the hatch to the service lift pressed the button and jumped into the hatch as it took me upwards and away from the officers that pursued me.
Eventually the hatch stopped at the top floor of the building and I looked down to see many police vehicles outside the restaurant I looked around for any viable means of escape there was a scaffold that lead to another building which I found rather coincidental but if it got me away from the police I didn't give a damn so I ran to the scaffold and down the ladder and ran through the alleyway to freedom or a car running me down.
I thought at that very moment that I was done but life had other ideas for me...
