Ask Her Out

"Okay you can do this, just ask her out and then after that propose to her." I thought to myself as I walk back and forth inside Twilight's bathroom. "I didn't know asking out a mare on marriage could be so hard." I looked at myself in the mirror. "Okay just like this, Pica I've been wanting to ask if you would like to accept my proposal?" I scratched my head thinking how weird I look like. "Just ask her out already." I said to myself. I walked out of the bathroom and went upstairs. I saw Pica laying on the bed and reading a book. I took a deep breath and walked up to her. "Pica I-." she raised her hoof before I could finish what I was going to say.

"You want to go out with me?" Pica asked.

"Uh... How did you know?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh come on Pico always remember that I'm you and I can find out what you are trying to do by just looking at you expressions." she continued to read the book.

"Well then, if you know what I'm going to do next then don't be surprised." I moved the book away from her face. I lowered my head and prepared for a kiss. She blocked my muzzle with her hoof.

"Don't worry, I'm not surprised even a bit." she remove her hoof and then raised her head. She locked me in a kiss. After a few seconds she moved her head away. "Not surprised even a bit." she smiled at me.

"Well then let's see about that." I went on top of her.

"Why do I always see you both like that?" Twilight asked. I turned my head at the door and saw Twilight.

"How long have you been there?" I asked her.

"For a whole minute." she replied.

"And you kept watching us because?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No reason." her face turned red and then she went downstairs.

"Well that was weird." I thought to myself.

"So what were you about to do?" Pica suddenly asked. I looked at her.

"I was supposed to ask you if we could go on a date tomorrow." I replied.

"Sure, I would love to go on a date." she smiled at me.

"Okay then." I smiled at her and then got off her.

"Hey wait." Pica grabbed my hoof. "That's not all isn't it?".

"Well I already asked you out on a date so that's all." I scratched my head with my other hoof.

"Oh come on just tell me." she gave me a sad face.

"I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for you." I gave her a sheepish smile.

"Well okay then." she dragged my hoof. I stumbled closer to her. "Tomorrow." she kissed me on the forehead. She let go of my hoof and went back to reading the book. I walked downstairs and saw Twilight sitting near the table.

"So what's the reason for watching us for a whole minute?" I asked her. I took a sit beside her.

"Oh nothing." she planted her face on the table. "It just feels like I need a special somepony for me too." I put my hoof on her shoulder.

"Don't worry I know you could find yours at the right moment." I patted her shoulder. "Why not help me plan my wedding with Pica so you could earn some experience." I smiled at her.

"Wait, you're going to propose a marriage with Pica?" she raised her head. I nodded. " Wow that's big ne-." I blocked her muzzle with my hoof.

"Don't spread the word yet, I'm going to propose tomorrow on our date." I removed my hoof from her muzzle. "Pinkie Promise?".

"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." she pinkie promised.

"Good and since I earned a lot from working at the Sugar Cube Corners I can now afford a house her in Ponyville." I smiled at her.

"I hope Pica will accept your proposal." she smiled at me. I just simply nodded.
