//-------------------------------------------------------// The Christmas Miracle -by The_Seer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter one //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter one Sapphire sat lazily on her couch in front of the television. She was a fifteen year old rich kid; an intelligent blonde who currently wearing a gray long sleeved shirt and some My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic pajama pants. She was enjoying her favorite television program: Doctor Who. Her parents were busy as usual. They were probably calculating their stocks, or something else just as boring. It wasn't worth being rich if you couldn't spend time with your family. Especially since it was a few days until Christmas Eve. The only thing Sapphire did around this time of year was watch television, all day. She didn't have any family that lived close, and she had no friends, either. There was a sudden knock at the door that caused Sapphire's dad to yell out in frustration. "Could you get the door, Sapphire!?" Sapphire sighed with frustration, paused the television, then reluctantly got up and opened the door. The ground was covered in a pristine white blanket of snow. No one was standing outside. There weren't even any visible footprints leading up to the door. "Stupid neighbors. I am getting sick of their bullshit!" She turned to close the door, but she was stopped by a tiny squeal that made her freeze. Looking down towards the noise, she saw a light pink basket with a blanket covering it. The basket made Sapphire curious, so she lifted up the blanket. Underneath the blanket was a filly Fluttershy! "What the hell? A filly Fluttershy? What is she doing here?" Fluttershy yawned and cried softly for warmth. "Nope. I'm not getting stuck with a little filly." Sapphire slammed the door and the filly continued to cry. "Sapphy, who was at the door, honey?" her mum asked from the other room. Sapphy. That was her mum's nickname for her. That was the only bonding they ever did. Other than that, she was always ignored by her mum. Not to mention the fact that she was going to be a big sister in a few days. Then, she would be more alone than ever. "The neighbors were just messing around again..." Her mum didn't answer back, so Sapphire just sat down and continued to watch Doctor Who.
