Chapters Sigh, a typical Saturday. It rained yesterday. Yesterday, I was full of energy. Today, not so much. The ground is still a bit wet. Ugh, I probably sound stupid, immature, and dull. Maybe because I am. Spike went to Canterlot this morning. And I've been bored ever since. But I got some goodish news. Yesterday, while Spike was packing, I heard the door knock. It was Applejack.
"Oh," I greeted "Hi Applejack. What's up?" Her face was super excited.
"Braeburn sent mail," She sang "He's coming to Pony Ville for a visit!" A spark of hope started in my eye, and my heart skipped a beat. "And he's bringin' his new fillyfriend!" Applejack added. Somepony lit a match and brought it to the propane in my eye, my heart paused for one second. She looked at the letter.
"He tells her name and. . . oh no. Oh sweet, dear God no." She looked at me with worried eyes. "It's-" Applejack started. She sighed\gulped. "It's Trixie," Applejack wailed. I clutched my chest.
"Oh mon dieu cette salope! Elle a volé Braeburn de moi! Elle va mourir car j'adore Braeburn!" I screamed. Trixie was back in town. And this time, she's gonna make sure that I burn to the dusty road.
“Alicia,” Shaun breathed, paling rapidly. She shook her head, the tears falling faster and faster, her hooves were getting shakier by the moment. The weather was no better. Droplets of rain turned into pouring rain, cold and hard. Suddenly, Lisa's eyes widened with realization, also followed by tears filling in her eyes. Lisa jerked away quickly from Shaun. He touched Alicia’s hoof. She unwillingly recoiled from his touch. Shaun seemed to care more for Alicia than Lisa at that moment. Lisa just stared.
“Oh my God! You marenizer! You frickin’ cheated on me! Why would you do that? Why would you want to hurt me? I gave you love! I gave up my life for you! And this is how you repay me!? I lost my parent’s trust! I could have had an education at Pliohippus by now! Pliohippus, Shaun! Forget it, it’s over!” Lisa screamed, bursting into tears and galloping to her property, away from the "marenizer". Shaun watched sadly as she angrily galloped off, narrowly missing several ponies already on the road. He soon turned his undivided attention to Alicia. His dark, wavy mane and tail, were now sopping wet. Alicia’s usually long, curly, dirty blonde mane and tail were still curly, but was also wet. Her eyes met Shaun’s. His usually kind eyes were showing all signs of regret. His expression looked a bit . . . depressed.
“Alicia, please, let me explain!” Shaun pleaded, “I . . . I was so stupid to do that. It’ll never happen again.” Alicia turned to face him.
“I wish I could believe you. I wish I could.” Alicia glared at him. She then caught a glimpse of a huge mud puddle just behind him, suddenly getting an idea. She walked up to him, and he clucked his tongue in approval. She put her forelegs around him, obviously shocking him. Alicia quickly unwrapped her forelegs from around him, and pushed him. Shaun fell in the mud puddle, mud all over his hot stallion body. He blinked.
As I read these words, these breathtaking, heart-wrenching (?) words, I cried. These words on the pages of the book The Mare with Lace , I remembered my past experiences with Prince Blueblood at the Grand Galloping Gala. The weird thing was that he didn't acknowlege that I was the Element of Generosity! He treated me like dirt instead. The other weird thing is that somehow, I . . . I still like him. He's handsome, and smart. Quite possibly shy, which would explain his actions at the Grand Galloping Gala. Still, he might just be a jerk, and if he is so, then I never want to be in his presence again. I wish things could've gone better. *Sigh* I guess it's too late for that. Too bad I have to kill him now. Nah, I'm just kidding.

When I was reading my Daring Do book today, I heard a knock on my door in Cloudsdale, and after I opened the door, I was surprised to see Applejack and Fluttershy, with Tank. Applejack was panting, and looking every which-way and mumbling. Tank looked really excited to see me, which was an awesome sign that he was warming up to living in Cloudsdale with me. Yesterday, Twilight cast some spell on everypony so they could permanently walk on clouds without wings. She cast it on Tank too, upon my request.
"Okay, Tank, now behave for Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy said-or was it whispered? "I'll get you a better day for your treatments next week. That is, if we're on next week." She looked at me for approval. I nodded. Applejack squeaked.
"Well then," I said looking at Applejack. "Uh, Fluttershy, I think you can go now." I gestured toward the door. She looked at Applejack, and nodded, trotting to the door. When she was there, Fluttershy put her hoof on the knob, and looked back at us. I nodded reassuringly. She finally begrudgingly left. "Sooo, AJ," I said. "What up?" Her eye twitched.
"He l-loves y-ya R-Rainb-bow D-Dash, h-he r-really d-does," Applejack woozily stammered. Was she even sober? "H-hell, he e-even t-told m-me s-so." She fell to her knees. Applejack put her hoof to her forehead. "R-rainbow?" She stared at me. "Get Soarin'. Ya know, from the W-wonderbolts." She then passed out.
"My God," I whispered. I ran out the door, and ran into the stallion himself. "God, I'm sorry!" I exclaimed. "Here, let me help you," He got up hastily.
"No, no, you're fine!" Soarin' smiled apologetically. "Dang, you sure seemed to be in a hurry. What were you looking for? Or who?" I paused, unsure of how to tell him that I was looking for him . "I was looking for you," Soarin' offered.
"Uh, why ?" I said after letting that sink in for a moment. "I was looking for you , too." Soarin' cocked his head ever so slightly. "I was looking for you because Applejack told me to. She passed out a minute ago." I felt a pang of worry while I babbled. Meanwhile, Soarin's pupils shrank slowly into tiny dots.
"Take me. Now! " Soarin' instructed. I obeyed. He followed me into my house. Almost immediately did he run to Applejack's limp body. "No ." he cried. "No, no, no! This can't be! My darling angel!" To my surprise, tears formed in his eyes. Then it hit me. They were coltfriend and fillyfriend. I watched in awe how he started to slowly kiss her. Tank came with popcorn and sat next to me. Suddenly Applejack woke up, smiling at Soarin'. It was actually pretty adorable to watch them kiss. First, they were slowly kissing, but as time wore on, they were embracing each other strongly, and kissing more passionately and harder. After an hour, I was forced to kick them out. Applejack stayed behind though, saying she had to tell me something.
"Rainbow, Big Mac. . ." She trailed off grinning broadly. I finished for her.
"Likes me? Yeah, I know," She stared at me, her jaw almost to the ground. "Actually, we've embraced like that before. Sorry." I said sheepishly. Applejack took my hooves.
"At first, ah hated that, but now, ah'm very happy ya'll are together! It melts mah heart. Wanna come to the Achres with me?" She swooned. I nodded eagerly.
"BUT only on one condition," I said, making a plan. Applejack nodded thoughtfully. "Bring Soarin' with us."
I stared hard at Pumpkin Cake's beady little eyes, ever so slightly raising my hoof to stop Pumpkin Cake's bear from flying into my face every 2 seconds. Pound Cake started to giggle gleefully.
"No! Pumpkin, stop throwing that damned bear in my face!!" I screeched. Pumpkin Cake started to overexertingly pout. "Stop pouting!! " I shouted again, having a sudden desire for a certain stallion to shimmy his way into helping me. Pumpkin Cake screamed deafeningly in my ear. "Pumpkin Cake, if you don't stop being in your royal little snit, I'm gonna tear that face of yours off your tiny little head! Understood!?" My poofy hair suddenly went flat. Pumpkin Cake only cried harder. I needed to stop the God awful crying. Because soon enough, Pound Cake would start up, too. And I couldn't take that at all. "Okay, okay, shhhh, shhhh!" I said half-heartedly. "Calm down, Auntie Pinkie Pie is here. Yes, that's right, shhh shh shhhh." Pumpkin Cake flopped down on the ground, expecting a tummy rub. One that I wasn't going to give her.
"We're hooooooome!" Mrs. Cake announced, trotting in, taking a second to notice my hair. "Oh, Pinkie, were they that much trouble again!? If you don't want to continue babysitting them, I completely understand. Many others are more than happy to." I frowned. I hated to sit them, but I still wanted seem responsible. But I hated watching them more. My hair went flat about 2 times a week because of those damned twins.
"I will never sit them again. I'm so sorry, Mrs. Cake, but I can't stand them anymore."
"Sweetie, I understand completely. I guess Carrot Cake and I should be more strict huh?" She sighed. "Which one was the bigger problem today anyway?" That rhymed ! I almost pointed out.
"Pumpkin Cake. She's going wild with magical surges. She kept hitting my face with that ugly bug-eyed teddy bear. And it felt like 3 hundred pounds of knives were in there. Try to duck." I grimaced at the twins. Pound Cake was holding Pumpkin Cake and moving towards me. The next thing I knew, I heard Pumpkin's deafening scream in my ear again. "GOD, WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY!?!?" I screamed before bursting into tears and galloping to my room. Downstairs, I heard muffled voices and pounding (probably Pound Cake) and soon, trotting. Someone knocked on my door. I sniffed, and to my delight, it was Mr. Cake.
"Mr. Cake I-" I started. But he put his hoof to my lips.
"Shh! No words. Just passion." He leaned his face close to mine. I could smell his breath. He had had vodka. His lips brought themselves to mine. Soon we were passionately kissing for a whole second. Then two. Then three. Then four. When we finally departed, a smile was stretched across Mr. Cake's lips. I knew what my face looked like. It looked horrified. "You have no idea how long I've waited to do that." Carrot Cake said.
"Let's never do that again," I said softly. A sudden flash of disappointment ran across his face. I thrust my face toward his, pulling him into a deeper embrace than before, this time more passion, harder. His eyes widened with surprise, and quickly closed, returning the favor. We kissed for ten seconds. To me, it was complete satisfaction. But my hair stayed strait. Mr. Cake blushed and smiled weakly. He trotted away quickly, taking my heart with him.

A few hours later, my hair remained strait, a yellow-maned, pebble-gray pegasus came to my room. When she saw my hair, Derpy did a double take.
"Have they been replaced by a bucket of rocks again?" She asked. I shook my head. "The twins, then?" I bobbed my head, sighing. "Did you quit?"
"Well, der!" I snapped. Derpy took a big step away. I sighed. . . again. "Sorry," I squeaked vulnerably.
"Pinkie," Derpy said slowly. "What actually happened?" Tears spilled from my eyes as I told her the whole story. The twins, and Mr. Cake. Derpy's eyes widened as I told her. "Wow. So Mr. Cake is. . .cheating on Mrs. Cake. . .with you?" I nodded. "Oh," Derpy trotted toward me and hugged me. "Don't worry, Pinkie, it will all work out in the end. I promise." I sniffed.
"You really think so?" I asked shyly. She nodded. "That's just what I like about you Derpy," I said. "You're always so sweet!" Derpy laughed.
"Well, I am one of the nicest ponies around, I learned from the best, after all!" I giggled. We let go of each other. "But Pinkie," She said seriously.
"Pinkamena." I whispered sternly.
"What?" Derpy said, startled.
"My name is Pinkamena . Don't call me Pinkie , or Pinkie Pie . Call me Pinkamena , or Pinkamena Dianne , or Pinkamena Dianne Pie . Just please, no Pinkie ."
"Whatever. At some point though, Mrs. Cake'll find out." Derpy said.
"NEVER SAY THAT!!!" I shouted. Derpy backed away. "I LOVE HIM TOO MUCH FOR THAT TO HAPPEN!!!"
"Pinkamena-" Derpy started.
"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!! I'VE HAD A HARD DAY AND I CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE!!!" She left. Later in the evening, when I was in bed, I cried myself to sleep. Mrs. Cake just couldn't find out. Or, could she?

"Remember when I went to Cantorlot and became popular? And I pretended that Opalescence was sick? And that I wasn't from Ponyville?" Rarity asked me randomly. I nodded slowly. I was so worried about Opal when Rarity said that she was sick, stating that she looked awful. I fell for Rarity's little lie. If only I had known that she had washed and scrubbed Opalescence. Maybe I would have confronted her. . .
"Well, remember that unicorn that wanted to talk to you all closer to the end? I think he might have it in for me." Rarity sighed. "I thought that Fleur De Lis was his fillyfriend. And I was right. But then Fleur got pregnant and Fancypants found out he wasn't the father. So Fancypants left her, and she obviously protested to keep him, which she, by the way, didn't succeed in, and a rumor started that he might love me !" Rarity squealed. "But me ? Of all unicorns he loves moi ? I think that he and Twilight would have been a cuter couple." When Rarity said that, I nodded.
"Oh, uh, that's kind of weird Rarity. Maybe he does love Twilight?" I suggested. Rarity raised an eyebrow.
"You really think so?" She asked, slowly grinning. I refused to make eye contact. Of course I did! "Ha! You do ! He's coming to Ponyville soon too! To replace Fluer. . ." Rarity gasped. "Maybe he'll choose her !" I brightened at the thought. If only . . .
"Well, maybe. . . I'm not sure . . ." Fancypants was quite a catch. But he might be too difficult. Besides. . . didn't Twilight like Applejack's cousin?
"Oh, darling, but of course he must ! She's quite a catch! And no, she does not have a crush on Braeburn!" Rarity argued.
"Yeah, I guess - wait, h-how did you know that's what I was thinking?" I asked timidly. Rarity grinned.
"Well, that's what a great friend knows, right?"
"Sure, why not."
"Oh, don't be so hard on yourself, darling!" Rarity pouted, sticking out her lip. I didn't think she forgot about "New" Fluttershy, and how hard I was on myself. Grinning broadly, Rarity took my hooves and said. "What if they became coltfriend and fillyfriend? Wouldn't that be fuuuuun?" She twirled excitedly. I sighed.
"Now eat more of the carrot!" I said softly. Squirrel shook his head. "I. Said. Eat. It." I stared hard at him. He grabbed the carrot and shoved it into his mouth. "Always works." Being more assertive really helped me. But I still had a question lingering in my head. Would Fancypants ever love Twilight?
"Hi Flutterheart."
"Oh! Hi Treyngl!" I pecked him on the cheek. He gave me a look that said That's it ? "Ok!" He pulled me into a passionate kiss. I loved him too much to worry about Twilight. That could wait for later.
Whenever I walk into town, my older brother worries. He worries that I will find love and leave the farm forever. Leave Granny Smith and Applebloom forever. Leave him forever. But I won't. Never would I leave the farm, even for love. But I guess that's just the problem. I have found love. Thanks to Rainbow Dash. Thanks to apple pie. Thanks to Princess Celestia. Thanks to the Grand Galloping Gala. He bought my pie. I was instantly in love. He gobbled that thing up faster than Rainbow Dash can fly. And that's saying something.
"I'll have that biiiiiigggg apple pie! Please?" He had asked so politely. He even let me keep the change. Such the gentlecolt. Well at least I think so. Anyway, Big Mac's judgement about love isn't of any concern to me. He is not in love. Or. . . is he? Lately, he's been ogling Rainbow Dash whenever she is here. And the brave pegasus just. . . blushes.
"Y'all want me to invite Rainbow Dash o'er, Big Mac?" Applebloom said quietly to him, as if sensing my thoughts.
"Eeyup," He just answered, not daring to make eye contact. He probably didn't want to show his excitement in his green eyes. I rolled mine.
"Okay, lover colt! " Applebloom giggled with mischief. She ran out the door, before I could even catch her.
"Eh, what!?" Granny Smith snorted. "My Big Mac in love? Nonsense! He's to polite to do that to the . . . eh, what wer' we talkin' 'bout? Huh, zapapples ya say? They comin' already?" Big Macintosh rolled his eyes and led me to the achres. He took my hoof into his.
"AJ," He started "Ah jus' don't know how to say-" He stopped. Big Mac looked at me for words.
"Stop lovin' Rainbow Dash!" I blurted. There. I said it. Big Mac looked at me, startled.
"So," He said softly "Ya knew." I pushed him away and trotted off. The knot in my throat hurt too much to continue listening to his BS. I needed to find Soarin. Soon.
