The Six Spirits of Harmony

Welcome everybody, I present you my very first fic. Hope you like it, review it, favorite it, follow it, etc. With nothing more to say, let’s go with chapter 1.

Chapter 1 – Willpower

Four years passed since the Mane Six faced two very powerful foes, King Sombra and Queen Chrysalis, who attacked Equestria in an attempt to take over it.

King Sombra nearly destroyed the Crystal Heart from Spike’s hands. But thanks to Princess Cadance she thwarted his attempt by grabbing the heart in the last moment, and places it back in the center of the palace, granting the Crystal Ponies all their power back. Thus, King Sombra was defeated once again.

Queen Chrysalis at first she achieved victory when she and her army of Changelings battled non-stop to take over Canterlot. With her triumph, she locked the Mane Six and Princess Celestia. Twilight Sparkle was trapped in a mysterious cavern when she saw a familiar face. It was Princess Cadance, but Twilight knew the trick and wanted to kill her. The alicorn revealed her true self just in time when she shared Twilight the Sunshine dance. Dark times arrived at Canterlot. Thanks to the Mane Six, they succeeded reuniting Princess Cadance and Shining Armor once more. The power of their love allowed them to launch a powerful spell at Queen Chrysalis and her Changelings, sending them far away from Equestria, never to be seen again.

Now that those ruthless moments were over, everypony enjoyed peace and happiness. ¿Or they will?

Meanwhile Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia’s best student, has been practicing a very interesting spell she found in one of her books in the library. She received support by number one assistant, Spike, the little dragon in charge of sending daily reports to Princess Celestia. He was holding a withered flower found in the edges of the Everfree Forest. What spell was?

Rainbow Dash was soaring through the skies when she saw her two best friends in the green fields. Landed nearby and greeted them.

“What’s up, my friends. ¿What are you doing?” waved her hoof happily.

“Hi, Rainbow Dash. Spike was helping me out with my practice sessions on a spell I’m about to master. Took me many years of practice but it wasn’t that easy. Want to take a look?” Twilight levitated the book with the magic of her horn and flipped the pages.

“Let’s see.” Rainbow Dash places a hoof in her chin trying to understand the spell’s description, “A revive spell?”

“Yep. Twilight needs to master it, because tonight at the Grand Galloping Gala she must perform a demonstration in order to advance to the next study levels.” Spike explained while lowering his left arm where the flower was.

“I can’t wait for that moment, but aside of that, I’m still nervous.” Twilight’s fore-hooves started shaking slightly.

“Why is that?” Rainbow raised an eyebrow in question and crossed her front hooves.

“I m-must give a speech, r-remember?” Twilight replied with nervousness.

“Yes…About…”

“About the arts of magic, and show my spell.” The lavender-unicorn lowered her head with shame and sat on the grass.

“Come on, Twilight. I’m pretty sure that everything is going to be fine. Trust yourself. And you’ll see.” Rainbow Dash placed her right hoof on Twilight’s back and cheered her up.

“Thank you, Rainbow. I think I will practice one more time.” Twilight returned a slight smile at the sky-blue pegasus.

“Ok. I have to go too. I must check Applejack’s pies she has been preparing, while Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie are blending the fruit punch, and Rarity is checking our dresses.

“See you later, Rainbow Dash.”, the little dragon waved goodbye to Rainbow as she took flight again.

Twilight was a bit exhausted of practicing the spell; Spike turned his view back at the lavender unicorn and asked “Are you sure to try again? You already did a second attempt.”

“I don’t think so. I’m far too tired to do that. This spell drains a lot of my energy. I will have something to eat and then return to the library rest a bit.” She retorted.

“If you say so, come on then Twilight.” Spike said looking at Twilight’s eyes closing little by little. He tried to keep her stand up. Both walked back to the local cafeteria.

Meanwhile at SugarCube Corner, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie almost finished blending the fruit punch to be taken at Canterlot for the celebration. Mrs. Cup Cake was baking a delicious cake too, alongside her husband Mr. Carrot Cake. At Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Dash arrived and helped Applejack mount the apple pies on top of the small wagon pulled by Big Macintosh. And in Carrousel Boutique, Rarity revised the dresses one more time, so they can be ready to go.

At dawn, fireworks decorated the starry night with a wonderful multicolor light show and all Ponyville admired the spectacle. The Mane Six arrived recently at Canterlot ready to put the final touches for the Grand Galloping Gala. Also wore their dresses (used in the episode Best Night Ever).

Everypony were so happy for their job done. Except for Twilight, her fore-hooves were still shaking. Applejack had a worried look on her face after seeing this. She approached to her unicorn friend and asked.

“Twi, are you alright?”

“Y-yes, I’m feeling fine. Just a bit of nerves…” Twilight spoke in a timid voice trying to stay focused but she went nuts for a second, “WHAT IF I FAIL??!!” she screamed loudly.

“(Giggles) Take it easy, Twilight. The topic is about magic, what’s the worst that could happen? You shouldn’t be worried more than necessary.” Rainbow Dash winked her left eye and smiled.

“It happens every time, darling. Remember that time Hoity Toity criticized me for the first time?” Rarity said “It was horrible.”

“Or when I performed the Sonic Rainboom in the contest...” said Rainbow Dash

“My very first party when I was just a filly…” added Pinkie Pie

“Yes…I still do remember. But…why are you saying me that?” Twilight was confused.

“It’s the willpower, Twilight. You never gave up a single time.” Fluttershy replied to the question with a smile.

“We never want ya ashamed. Jest go there and show what ya got. Gotcha?” Applejack cheered the unicorn and hugged her. The other ponies did the same thing.

“(giggles) Thank you a lot, everypony. I will not deceive you.” Added Twilight with a very happy tone, “I’m gonna get prepared for the speech with Princess Celestia. See you later everypony.”

“Good luck, Twilight. We’ll wait you.” Fluttershy said.

“Go for it.” cheered Rarity.

“You are the GREATEST!” Pinkie Pie hopped very excited.

Twilight ascended the stairs and made her way to Princess Celestia’s throne room. In the meantime, the rest of the mares brought the fruit punch and the apple pies, plus the delicious cake Miss Cupcake baked. The main hall and the other rooms were decorated with many fancy stuff and aromatic flowers. The only missing thing was the invited ponies.

“I’m pretty sure they’ll enjoy this cake Mrs. Cupcake baked. It looks really tasty.” Rainbow Dash said, glancing at it.

“Our fruit punch is blended with very delicious fruits. There’s no way anypony won’t like it.” Pinkie Pie added.

“And ma pies were cooked perfectly.” Applejack said while finishing installing the Apple Pie stall.

“Hey, where’s Fluttershy?” Rarity asked looking for her.

“Probably having a walk in the animal garden, like always. Why?” Rainbow Dash retorted.

“(gulp) Hope she doesn’t go bananas again. Like the first time when we were mad because nopony appealed us.”

“Don’t worry, Rarity. She’ll be fine. Help me serve the punch please.”

“Ok.”

While everypony were busy, Twilight met with Princess Celestia in her throne room. She was practicing her speech a few more times before getting ready.

“…Now I’m gonna show you the spell I’ve been practicing.” Twilight spoke the final lines and looked at Princess Celestia, "Did I improved this time?” she asked.

“Not bad at all, Twilight Sparkle. Still those nerves are an issue but…you’re doing better. Practice one more time, in ten minutes the Grand Galloping Gala begins.” The royal alicorn replied with satisfaction on Twilight’s performance.

Meanwhile in the castle gardens…

“Come here my pretties. I know you were scared about me last time, but this time be gentle.” Fluttershy was walking around with a happy face looking at the little animals. Unfortunately, like the last time, they still hide from her. “Oh Fluttershy, you’re such a loud mouth.” She regretted what she said.

“Fluttershy…” a mysterious voice echoed.

“W-who was that?” the pink-mane mare got scare of the voice.

“My name is Kindness…I need you to visit Froggy Bottom Bog…there’s something important I must tell you…the evil is returning…Fluttershy.” Added Kindness, but Fluttershy was confused.

“K-kindness? Like my Element of Harmony?” the yellow pegasus asked, but the voice disappeared. “I-I don’t like this. Better tell this to my other friends. Bye-bye, my little pretties.” She immediately made her way back to the castle interior and tell what she heard.
