Time would've lit the area around him but it would of alerted his stalkers. The trees looked like they were practically laughing at him and the sky had no stars or moon at all. He eventually came out of the tree line. He looked forward and saw a shining lake. He made a dash for it and ran to get to the lake. He was almost there when he was grabbed by a pony in a dark cloak. "And now you'll pay for your crimes against lord discord." A knife appeared in his hand and was almost to the center of Time's chest when a dark blue force had pushed the pony over 100 yards away. The force turned to look at time. Time saw a dark blue alicorn with a moon on her flank. He recognized her as his friend, Princess Luna. "Thank you Luna." He said with relief "Time you need to tell me how long have you had these nightmares?" She asked very concerned "So this is just a dream?" He asked with curiosity "Hey wait, you said you would stop invading my dreams." "Time there is no time for stalling. How long have you had these dreams." "About 3 weeks now...why?" "So it's begun." "Luna what has begun." "I...don't quite know what. I had barely any memory when it happened but Celestia will be able to tell you all about it." "Luna why can't you just tell me?" Time asked "I need to know why this is happening." "All I can say for sure is that you are going to change quite a bit." Time awoke after this little meeting. Time sat up in his Bed. Celestia had given Time a house in Pony ville. It was a standard wooden 2 story house. On the first floor was The living room, Kitchen, dining room, and even a foyer. The foyer was very regal unlike the rest of the house. It was marble white with pillars right next to the doors. There was a painting of Celestia, Luna, and Cadence sitting together at what looked like a beach. Time had never met Cadence until two days after he had gotten to this time. There was a door across from the painting but it was just a bathroom. There were a few white chairs in there and some shelves that held a few books that Time had enjoyed over his life. If you kept moving forward you would encounter the living room. It was a cream color with a lime green couch and 2 chairs off to the side. The chairs were centered around a fireplace which had a mantle filled with...air. On the other side of the fireplace was a stair case that led upstairs. Anyway if you went forward again from the doorway to the foyer you would get to the dining room. It also was a cream color that matched the living room. The table was a fine oak wood that the chairs followed suit with in design. The light looked very odd to Time. The lights just clicked on with a switch. It was amazing to Time. When he first discovered this he played with it for hours. If you go to the left once your at the table it would take you to the kitchen. The kitchen was butter yellow and had a black and white tiled floor. The counter tops where a light shade of lavender. The fridge was huge. It was double the size of any Time had seen. If you went back to the living room and went up the stairs you would find a hallway that had 8 doors. Only two Time had been able to open. Celestia told Time that only those with the right DNA would be able to unlock those doors first. The only doors Time could open lead to a bathroom and Time's room. Time's room was a dark hue of Green. It had shelves with pictures of places he had read about. There was Canterlot, Pony ville, Cloudsdale, and... okay maybe Time didn't know what some of those places were but they were still really nice pictures. His bed set was light green and had a black night stand next to it. On it was an alarm clock and a lamp. Time pulled his blankets off of himself and walked into the kitchen. One thing that his kitchen had was a very good coffee maker. After it had brewed he took his cup and sat in his living room. He levitated a book over and read its cover Magic, odds, and ends He had started reading it but never got to the odds and ends part of the book. He opened it and read the title of the page Ritual of thievery He continued to read the page The ritual of thievery is a ritual spell used to steal part of a unicorn's power. This was often used as a way to transfer magic between two unicorns. The spell was eventually forgotten over time and no one seems to recall what was needed to make the ritual itself. What should be noted was how this was used to make soldiers for war at a very old time period. For some reason after that the page seemed to be addressing him When the war ended certain unicorns seemed to have a special talent in some elements that would allow their cutie mark to be changed. As far as we know there were 3. One controlled fire, One controlled Water, and One controlled Nature. However some speculation occurred in the age of prace. When Discord wanted to take over he sent soldiers of mass chaos to the land. Eventually one of these special unicorns would fight back. It has been said that there was one that bucked the ground causing an earthquake, One that caused a lightning bolt to strike at one of the soldiers, and one that was said to disappear in the blink of an eye and the soldier would be nowhere to be found. After Discord took over he ordered a bounty onto their heads. It was said that every one of the special unicorns were killed off using a much more brutal version of the Ritual of thievery and was killed by using a knife to drain their magic using Blood. It was said that they suffered a brutal death. Suddenly the page was transformed into a very crude version of a seeing mirror. On it Time saw someone who he recognized but couldn't put his finger on her name. She was a fiery orange unicorn who had deep brown eyes. On her flank was a fire. Her clothes were torn up and looked as if she had gone through a large struggle. She sat on a white spot with chains attached to her hooves. She had fire coming out of her horn trying to melt the chains off of her hooves. Suddenly she was stopped by a small dragon looking creature. He walked up to the unicorn and punched her with brute force. She stopped at that instant. Discord walked over to her. He mumbled a few inaudible words. He then took a dark and crude knife and stabbed her in the chest very slowly. Her bloodcurdling scream froze Time to the bone. Discord practically yelled the next part but unfortunately Time couldn't understand a word of it. He figured he was speaking a different language. When he finished the two were enveloped in a purple whirl. She screamed even louder than before and her volume increased with every slow crawling second. It took almost an eternity when she stopped and fell to the ground. She looked like a hollowed husk of what she looked before, She blinked which Time then realized she was still alive. Discord looked at her and a deep laugh sounded through the room Time was in. The purple whirl had stopped but Discord's blood-thirst didn't. He took the pony into his hands and picked up the knife he dangled it above her face and then put his arm back as far as he could. Time threw the book into the wall and looked onto the ground. His surroundings began to return. He noticed that he was sweating and his chest burned. He couldn't believe what he saw and how horrible it looked. The screams haunted his mind. He looked out into pony ville. It looked like it did normally. Ponies going about their daily life. He noticed a mail carrier bag at a mailbox that was across the street. Knowing the mail mare it would take her a while. Time took some paper and a quill and started writing a letter. Part 2The letter read: Celestia, I have been having very weird dreams all of a sudden. I do not seem to understand what is happening with my life. It isn't just the nightmares though. Lately I have heard voices and other unusual things that I can't quite understand. This morning I was reading a book when it changed and showed me the brutal death of a familiar mare. I implore you to write to me about what is going on. Don't try to play dumb either. Luna told me that you would know. Celestia...I think I might be going insane. I don't know what this is but you really need to write back about this. Your friend, Time Spinner Time put the letter into an envelope and put a stamp on it. He levitated it and walked outside. Time lived on the quiet side of town. Which was good as he enjoyed the quiet. The houses around his were either unoccupied or had very polite teenagers. Time had seen children and considering Time had only been alive for 7 years, he was still a kid too. So you could say that Time was still a kid himself. There was a treeline behind his house that lead to the ever free forest. In front of his house led to the marketplace of pony-ville. The right path would take you to the library but Time didn't need to go there yet, so he didn't know what was back there. The left path would lead you out of pony-ville. Time was correct about the mail mare. She had just gotten to his mail box. "Hey Derpy!" Time greeted "I've got a letter for you." "Hi Time." She said in her wacky voice "Okay, give it here." Time handed her the letter "I need you to send it to the princess." "Which of the four?" She asked "Cele...Derpy there's only three." "No there's four." "Celestia, Luna, and Cadence are the only princesses I know about." Derpy was really silent for a while "MUFFINS!!!" "Um...Yeah. So anyway I need you to send it to Princess Celestia." "You can count on me!" She said "I just hope I don't run into Ditzy Doo." "Who's that?" Time asked "She a Quirky mail carrier who is always being weird." "What does she look like?" "She's grey with a blonde mane. Her eyes are always crossed and her cutie mark is bubbles." "Um Derpy you just described yourself." "Now she's coping me too! That doppelganger, when i find her I'll...Ooh right your letter! I'll deliver it right away." She said speeding off like a bullet. Time walked back into his house "Whatever goes on in that mare's head i don't want to know about. Then again it's probably just muffins." He said aloud with a chuckle Time sat down in his chair staring at the book that he threw into the wall. He tried to levitate it over to him when the mare's screams once again echoed through his ears. The book dropped at that instant. Time stood up, goosebumps and chills covered his body. "I...I need to get out here." He huffed Time put on his bags and walked out into the marketplace. He needed to get some fruit and vegetables anyway. He tried haggling for a bunch of carrots but ended up paying more than the original price. He bought all sorts of fruit and vegetables from apples to cabbages As he had finished he trotted back to his house. He saw Bon Bon pushing a cart full of carrots very slowly. Time rushed over "Here Bon Bon let me help you." "Thanks Time." She said Bon Bon stopped pushing and Time started Pushing. The cart didn't move an inch though. "No offense Time but your pretty weak." She said "Well I focused on magic more than muscles." Time said Time than levitated the cart up. Suddenly he saw a flash happen. This time it wasn't the Orange mare. It was a Dark blue Colt. His was covered in cuts and looked as if he had been beaten. If he had clothes they were no longer on him and he looked like he hadn't slept or ate for days. His cutie mark was a water droplet. There was a dragon and a Manticore standing next to the colt. Discord was also there he was holding what looked like a mace. "Now tell me..." He said in his deep voice "Who and where are the Clarions." The room was very dim with only two candles in it but the colt was in a metal chair and the walls and floor were blood red. You could tell that the room had been recently used as there was still blood puddles all over it. "I'll tell you..." The colt said "to Piss off. You'll never find them." "Oh Pisce... you brought this onto yourself." Discord said drawing his hand back and bashing the mace into the colt's leg causing fresh cuts to appear on his leg. Discord swung again on his arm causing a cracking sound to be made and a grunt from the blue colt. "You won't be able to break me that easily." The colt told Discord Discord replied with a laugh "No? Then how about this." Discord went to the other side of the room and pulled a curtain to reveal a mare. She was Dandelion Yellow with cuts and bruises all over her. Her left leg looked Broken. "Wake up!" Discord called Bashing her head with the back off the mace. She awoke but didn't say anything. "If I remember correctly than this lovely little mare is your fiance. She used to be so beautiful. Before I found her. You know what would be really terrible?" As he had taken a knife off his belt. "No..." The blue colt said "If my hand slipped and It suddenly was going to her neck...just like this..." Time had dropped the cart right onto the spot where Bon Bon wanted but Time had stayed long enough to here a scream. He stood there frozen in what felt like fear. "Time are you okay?" Bon Bon asked Time didn't answer instead he ran to his house and shut the door. He put his bags down in the kitchen, Poured himself some orange juice and sat down in the living room. He sat there sipping at it trying to get everything in his head together. He suddenly heard a knock at the door. He opened to reveal a White stallion in gold armor. "You have been summoned by Princess Celestia." He told Time. Time walked out and saw that in front of his house was a chariot. He got on and rode to Canterlot. As he arrived he rushed into the front doors. He continued to walk towards where he knew the throne room was. The Walls were still their normal pearl white. The First room was gigantic. It had a stair case that went up very high. Time had never gotten high enough to see what it led to but he was told that it was just a tower. The railings for it were gold and the ground a dark hue of purple. It was normally a welcome sight as the room in front of it was the throne but not with these...Visions Time was having. "I have to see the Princess!" Time said as he approached the guard in front of the door. "The princess is seeing some pony right now but you may speak with her afterwards. Go sit over there." The guard motioned towards a table and chairs. Time trotted over there and sat there with unease. He noticed that there was someone in front of him. It was red Pegasus. He had a brown mane and green eyes. His Cutie mark was a saxophone. "Hi there." He said "Hey..." Time said "Um I have to ask what is your name?" He said "It's Time Spinner. Why do you have to ask?" "Because the princess told me to wait for some pony named Time Spinner. My name is Echo Forte." "Echo huh? Wait why did the princess want to you to wait for me?" "How the hay should I know? I'm just a simple Saxophone jammer." "So your a musician?" Time asked "No...I'm a saxophone jammer." "Aren't they the same thing?" "That's just what the people want you to think." "Who is the people." Time asked "I don't know yet." "How can you go blaming people who you don't even know?" "I just can okay. You really need to loosen up." There was an awkward silence for awhile. "So why are you here?" Echo asked "Well i have been having nightmares and random visions of people dying and it is causing me to lose focus of everything I do." "...Well" Echo started "That is definitely a problem. I still don't see how I could help though." "Well maybe you cou-" Time started "The princess will see you now." The guard interrupted. Time got up and walked through the giant gold doors. Echo followed close behind. They entered a large circular room. The was a lavender carpet leading towards the Throne where a large white alicorn with a gold crown sat. Time recognized her as Princess Celestia. The room was mostly a white but there were a few windows and stained glass pieces that had a gold rim around it. "Time...tell me everything." She said with a regal voice. Time explained everything from nightmares of running from someone to Watching ponies getting killed. One of which looked very familiar. From Discord's torture, to the spell, to the book. Time explained everything that happened. "Celestia I need a straight answer now. What is happening to me?" Celestia sighed and walked towards a window in the room. "Have you ever heard of a clarion?" She asked "No..." Time said "During the age of prace some Unicorns found a way to transfer power to one unicorn by using the ritual of thievery on another unicorn. Eventually they found a stone. This stone was said to hold major power. They used the ritual on this stone and eight Unicorns. The stone was destroyed but the unicorns survived and gained great power. They each had a special talent in a certain element of magic. This caused their cutie mark to change into the element they mastered. The eight elements were fire, water, nature, lightning, Ground, Shadow, Wind, and Time. When Discord took over he put a bounty onto every alicorn in existence but he never found any. He learned of Clarions and wanted them to be hunted down. Eventually they were all found and killed. Their power was transferred to discord. However only half of the last element wasn't transferred. The pony of time's name was Sesona, We know she is dead. Her body was found and buried. We don't know how you know her but you are half clarion. Even still you have very little Time magic." "Wait!" Time objected "What about when I went forward 2000 years." "Well remember when I said clarion's have elements of all magic. Well Alicorns are masters of all magic..." "So you can use Time magic too?" Time asked "Well yes...Due to the half element you have you can only speed up or slow down time for a little bit. Even when you were a foal a lot of the Time magic was my doing. However I did nothing but push Rapid down. We took you and trained you because the door to Discord was immune to an Alicorns touch or magic but not to Unicorns." "What about when I sped Time up when I waited for nightmare moon." Time asked "I was waiting there as well. I saw that you trying to skip forward in time so...I just helped you a bit. Back to the matter at hand though. Time you will need to go to the temple of the clarions. It was there that The ritual of thievery took place. It is there you will lose your visions and your nightmares...but as a result you may lose your Time magic. Due to that you could become an adult blank flank and you may never learn your talent. Time you need to go to that temple." "Okay i have one last question for you though" Time said "Why the hell is he here?" Celestia smiled "It's just a test. A test of...trust. I'm sure you can manage. Now once you get to the front doors there will be a pack filled with everything you need." Time and Echo proceeded to walk out into the front room of the castle. Celestia was right their was a black pack on a table. Time levitated the pack onto his shoulders. The two walked out of the castle. Suddenly the castle doors flew open again and Celestia was there "Time!" Celestia called. Time walked over to her "If this is done wrong..." She started "You may lose your element of harmony. You cannot fail." Part 3Time walked over rocks that looked like they had been thrown across the room. They had left Canterlot on a chariot that stopped at the base of this mountain in the middle of nowhere. It was covered with snow and Time hated snow. The mountain was also literally in the middle of nowhere. If you look out onto the horizon you would see only dark stormy clouds. As Time climbed the giant rock he noticed that it was very warm. Too warm for snow to not melt. It was a bit odd but that wasn't the only thing. Time felt very relaxed. Normally this would be a okay but For three weeks he had been on edge. Why was it that being at this place that comforted him. It was an unusual thing that he noticed but for now Time would have to ignored this. He continued to climb up with Echo right behind. "Hey Time!" He called "Want to hear a funny joke?" "We are climbing a mountain, trying to get to an ancient building which is probably filled with things that will make me flash out and maybe kill you and you want to tell a joke." Time said very annoyed "Yes?" Echo said "Go ahead." "Women's rights." Echo called out "Echo that was terrible." Time said "You know the princess is a woman right?" "Yeah." "Echo your a horrible pony." "I get that a lot." Echo said "Hey i have a question. Why don't we just fly up there?" "Because...I don't know." Echo's wings opened catching the wind blowing through the mountain. Time began to levitate and fly up to the Building on the side of the mountain. The touchdown was fine but with a surprise ending. As his hooves touched the ground he felt a burning sensation in his chest. Time put his hoof too where it was but it felt like there was something already there. Time felt it with his hoof but it cut his leg. Time froze right there. Their was a knife in his chest. He started screaming. He looked down at the blood stained snow all around him. The temple stood right in front of him but there was something different about it now. It looked as if it was laughing at him. Yes Time was sure the Temple was laughing now. In a deep gruff voice. "Time!" Echo called from behind him "Time what is wrong." "What do you mean what is wrong?!?" Time yelled "There is a knife in my chest and blood all around me!" "Time I don't see anything." Time looked down. Echo was right. The snow was bright white. Time felt for the spot that was still burning. There was nothing there though. "Time? Are you okay?" Echo asked "Yeah, just a little spooked I guess." Time said "Was that a flash?" Echo asked intrigued "I...don't know. The other flashes I had always had someone dying in them." Time said "I guess if it was I was the one dying." Time thought to himself "In any case I need to stop worrying about it. If I don't then I could get distracted." Time looked forward at the Temple. It was a lifeless gray. Moss was growing all over it. The was almost moss everywhere but there was a place that stood out.There was a letter written in red on the Side. It was D. "What does D mean?" Echo said "Discord?" "No..." Time said "If it was Discord then it would have been a bit more chaotic. This is something else." "Clarion?" "I don't think they would have used a D to represent themselves. In any case we should keep going." The pair entered the dark entrance of the Temple. Time lit it up with his horn to see the walls were just as boring as the outside of it. The pair walked for an eternity. "This is boring!" Echo said "Can't you just use some Time magic and speed us up." "I guess i could try..." Time said his horn unlit and re-lit the hall while charging the Time magic. "Wow." Time thought "Without Celestia this is really difficult." The spell was almost ready. It would just need a bit more charging. Suddenly Time heard a scream that he hadn't heard before that knocked him out of focus. "Oh great not another Flash." Time said aloud "I don't think that was a flash." Echo said "I heard it too." "Help!" The same voice said "Hurry." Time told Echo. The two found their way to an opening to another room. The walls looked like a giant tree line. The sky looked like a normal night until Time saw the second moon. It was blood red and haunted the sky. It felt like in any second it could just fall and destroy everything in its path. "Over here." Echo said flying over a certain spot. Time teleported to around where Echo was flying a circle around. It was at this moment he realized the floor was grass. Time moved forward and saw a lost earth pony. She was a light pink. Her mane was purple and white and they matched the swirls she had for eyes. Her Cutie mark was...a screw next to a ball. "Thank you for finding me!" The mare said "How did you get here?" Time asked "I don't know...I was walking to my house when I blacked out. When I woke up I was here." She seemed to jump in the air for a second "Wait did you hear the other voice?" "What other voice?" Time asked "There was a voice coming from over there." She pointed to her left "We need to save her." "Alright." Time said with echo landing behind him. "This is echo forte and my name is Time Spinner." "Hi my name is Screwball. Now we need to hurry." She said "Alright." Time said The trio walked for a while to the left. They passed trees that seemed to cause Time to remember his dream that he had almost a day ago. Time looked to his left and saw Screwball. Something looked familiar about her but Time couldn't seem to recall it. Time thought he heard a deep and dark laugh. Finally the trio came to a hallway. "I hope she's okay." Screwball said The group walked into the hallway. It returned to it's normal grey lifeless color but the floors were stone bricks now. The group walked once again for what felt like an eternity. A scream could be heard from further in. "Hurry!" Screwball said. She ran forward in front of the group. "Screwball!" Echo called "Wait, we don't know what is down there." Echo and Time followed her into a large room. It was a very horrifying sight for Time. It was blood red all over. The floor, the walls, even the roof. All were red. There was a light pink lump lying on the ground. "Screwball!" Echo said running towards her. She looked at him and he was thrown into the wall. Screwball turned around. Her eyes were red and there was a purple aura around her hooves. "Screwball?" Time said A bolt of energy was blasted at Time. He moved to the side and managed to dodge it. "I have waited for you Time spinner." "Who are you?" Time asked "My name is Screwball and I am the daughter of Discord! You will pay for what you have done." There were blasts being fired at Time from Screwball. "Your an earth pony. How can you use magic?" She smiled at this "My father gave me a few gifts before he turned to stone. I have all the powers of the clarions. Except of course one half of the last one. Now I will take your power as my father took the others." Suddenly their was a red blast from Her and Time was thrown across the Room. Time looked up and saw Screwball standing above him She stomped her hoof on the ground and Time was out cold. Time saw a Very familiar pony in front of him. She was a lavender unicorn with white and purple hair. She had a music note for a cutie mark. Time realized who he was looking at. He was looking at a grown up Melody beat. "Now I know you have the whereabouts of where Your boyfriend is. Just tell me and everything will be dropped." A voice said. "I can't speak to what I can't look at." Melody replied. Out of the darkness came a short green minotaur. Time finally noticed the room. Their were skeletons and Bodies all over it. The walls looked like they were originally a light blue but now they looked brown. The roof was white. "Your too late. Time is already long gone." The minotaur answered this with a punch into her face. "You know technically he doesn't exist right now." The minotaur then pulled a knife out and put it to her throat "Stop playing games with me and tell me where Time Spinner is!" "Or what? You'll kill me. Go ahead. Life isn't worth living without love and mine is already gone." There was a flash suddenly Every memory of Melody that Time had swam in his head. From the first time they played on the playground all the way to when Melody taught Time to focus on his magic when Celestia and Luna realized it was different for unicorns. There was another flash and Time was somewhere else. He was in his house but there was not furniture. Instead two people were there. Melody and the orange mare who Time thought was familiar. "Time!" Melody said embracing his friend "I have someone for you too meet." She pulled Time over to the Orange mare. "Time, this is Blaze. She gave birth to a certain grey unicorn I know." Time looked at her. He looked at this mare and saw her deep blue eyes and knew she was telling the truth. "Mom..." He said "I don't understand why do i have Time magic instead of Fire Magic." Blaze gave a warm smile "You see types of magic are not passed by family. We knew we had to give the magic too some one but we didn't learn until too late. The last clarion to get captured was Sesona. She must have learned how to do the spell and tried to use it on you. Now you have to do one thing. When you wake up you need to reverse the spell that Screwball is using. If you do you will forget almost all of your spells. You will also lose your ability to use Time magic. However you will stop Screwball from being as powerful as an alicorn." Everything was fading very fast. "Time you have to do this." Blaze said With that Time woke up He was tied down on a white symbol. He was just in time too. Screwball had a knife in her hoof and was aiming for his chest. She thrust the knife down but Time rolled to the side. Time was too late the knife grazed him causing some blood to hit the ground. The purple whirl had encircled the two. Time could feel the essence flowing out of him. He knew he was losing Magic and quick. He had to think of a plan yet nothing came to mind. He had to find a way out of this. Echo finally awoke from the blast that had hit him. He looked forward and saw a purple whirlwind on top of a white symbol. He had to do something. From what he had managed to learn from this adventure was purple whirlwinds were bad. He couldn't think of anything. He rushed towards the whirlwind only to be thrown back into the wall. "Well that was a failure." Echo thought. "I can't interrupt it without magic...Unless." Time knew he was going to fail. He wouldn't be able to stop Screwball. He would let every pony down. He wanted to stop her but his magic wouldn't work while in the whirlwind. It was hopeless. Time had lost all hope when a voice of hope had pierced his ears. "Time grab Screwball!" He called "I can't! My hands are bound." Time told him "Okay try to stay still." "I'm in a whirlwind. How do you expect me to-" Time was interrupted by a blue ray of light that cut through his binds. "Echo how did you do that?" Time asked "Just Get out of there." Echo called Time looked around and noticed the knife on the ground. It still had some of Time's blood on it. He took the knife and stabbed Screwball with it. The whirlwind stopped. 8 colors flood into a stone that was somehow thrown on top of the whirlwind. The stone broke and the colors fell. With no element left to take the whirlwind stopped and the Two ponies fell to the ground. Screwball got up first. There was a red flash then she disappeared. Echo ran towards Time. There was a gold ring on his hoof. Time recognized it as an element of harmony. On it was a half a happy face and half a sad face. "Time are you okay?" Time looked down and and saw parts of the rock melt into the ground. Each one glowed a different color. Time looked over and saw a the pack that Celestia told them to carry with them. Time's horn tried to lite up but failed. His mother was right. He would forget every type of magic he knew. Time walked over to the pack. It was empty. ConclusionTime was back at the Castle now with Celestia. They stood at the balcony and looked as the Sun set to night Luna had flown over to talk to them. "So how did your journey go young unicorn." Luna asked "I'm not much of a unicorn now." Time said "I lost all of my ability to use magic." "I wouldn't say it like that." Celestia said "You can use magic still you just forgot how to use spells." "Still I'm a pretty much worthless Unicorn now." Time sighed. The white balcony and gold railings always reminded Time of great magic but now they only made him feel ashamed. "Time you still have great potential. One day I am sure you will learn how to use magic again... Right Celestia?" "Yes but you will never be as powerful as you were. The only reason that you were was because of your Clarion blood. All of that is gone from the world now though." They all looked out into the stars now. "You didn't tell me that Echo had an element of Harmony." Time said "Must have slipped my mind." She said with a laugh. "Wait does Time still have his element!" Luna asked "Yes we already checked. It's fine and working still." Celestia told her sister "You know a thought just occurred to me." Luna said "You can't use Time magic anymore but your Cutie mark is still a pocket watch." "Maybe...the pocket watch has nothing to do with Time magic." Time said "Well what would it mean?" Luna asked "I don't know...but it is a thought. We know for a fact I can't use Time magic anymore." Once again there was a silence "I have arranged for the chariot to take you and Echo back to your house. Echo will stay there for a while." "Alright." Time said turning around "Oh wait. One more question. What was in the pack you gave us?" Celestia Smiled "A rock." "The one thing that we needed for this quest was a rock?" Time asked "It was supposed to have this." Celestia handed Time a locket. He opened it to see a picture of melody on the inside. "When she died I had no idea it was that way Time." Celestia told him tears starting to stream down her eyes. It's hard to remember that after Time left Melody became friends with Celestia. Time was taken down to the castle grounds where he and Echo got on the chariot. He looked at his locket and then at Celestia. "I promise you Melody..." He thought "I will learn how to use magic again...someday."
Part 1Time was running in the middle of the woods. It was a pitch dark midnight. Time would've lit the area around him but it would of alerted his stalkers. The trees looked like they were practically laughing at him and the sky had no stars or moon at all. He eventually came out of the tree line. He looked forward and saw a shining lake. He made a dash for it and ran to get to the lake. He was almost there when he was grabbed by a pony in a dark cloak. "And now you'll pay for your crimes against lord discord." A knife appeared in his hand and was almost to the center of Time's chest when a dark blue force had pushed the pony over 100 yards away. The force turned to look at time. Time saw a dark blue alicorn with a moon on her flank. He recognized her as his friend, Princess Luna. "Thank you Luna." He said with relief "Time you need to tell me how long have you had these nightmares?" She asked very concerned "So this is just a dream?" He asked with curiosity "Hey wait, you said you would stop invading my dreams." "Time there is no time for stalling. How long have you had these dreams." "About 3 weeks now...why?" "So it's begun." "Luna what has begun." "I...don't quite know what. I had barely any memory when it happened but Celestia will be able to tell you all about it." "Luna why can't you just tell me?" Time asked "I need to know why this is happening." "All I can say for sure is that you are going to change quite a bit." Time awoke after this little meeting. Time sat up in his Bed. Celestia had given Time a house in Pony ville. It was a standard wooden 2 story house. On the first floor was The living room, Kitchen, dining room, and even a foyer. The foyer was very regal unlike the rest of the house. It was marble white with pillars right next to the doors. There was a painting of Celestia, Luna, and Cadence sitting together at what looked like a beach. Time had never met Cadence until two days after he had gotten to this time. There was a door across from the painting but it was just a bathroom. There were a few white chairs in there and some shelves that held a few books that Time had enjoyed over his life. If you kept moving forward you would encounter the living room. It was a cream color with a lime green couch and 2 chairs off to the side. The chairs were centered around a fireplace which had a mantle filled with...air. On the other side of the fireplace was a stair case that led upstairs. Anyway if you went forward again from the doorway to the foyer you would get to the dining room. It also was a cream color that matched the living room. The table was a fine oak wood that the chairs followed suit with in design. The light looked very odd to Time. The lights just clicked on with a switch. It was amazing to Time. When he first discovered this he played with it for hours. If you go to the left once your at the table it would take you to the kitchen. The kitchen was butter yellow and had a black and white tiled floor. The counter tops where a light shade of lavender. The fridge was huge. It was double the size of any Time had seen. If you went back to the living room and went up the stairs you would find a hallway that had 8 doors. Only two Time had been able to open. Celestia told Time that only those with the right DNA would be able to unlock those doors first. The only doors Time could open lead to a bathroom and Time's room. Time's room was a dark hue of Green. It had shelves with pictures of places he had read about. There was Canterlot, Pony ville, Cloudsdale, and... okay maybe Time didn't know what some of those places were but they were still really nice pictures. His bed set was light green and had a black night stand next to it. On it was an alarm clock and a lamp. Time pulled his blankets off of himself and walked into the kitchen. One thing that his kitchen had was a very good coffee maker. After it had brewed he took his cup and sat in his living room. He levitated a book over and read its cover Magic, odds, and ends He had started reading it but never got to the odds and ends part of the book. He opened it and read the title of the page Ritual of thievery He continued to read the page The ritual of thievery is a ritual spell used to steal part of a unicorn's power. This was often used as a way to transfer magic between two unicorns. The spell was eventually forgotten over time and no one seems to recall what was needed to make the ritual itself. What should be noted was how this was used to make soldiers for war at a very old time period. For some reason after that the page seemed to be addressing him When the war ended certain unicorns seemed to have a special talent in some elements that would allow their cutie mark to be changed. As far as we know there were 3. One controlled fire, One controlled Water, and One controlled Nature. However some speculation occurred in the age of prace. When Discord wanted to take over he sent soldiers of mass chaos to the land. Eventually one of these special unicorns would fight back. It has been said that there was one that bucked the ground causing an earthquake, One that caused a lightning bolt to strike at one of the soldiers, and one that was said to disappear in the blink of an eye and the soldier would be nowhere to be found. After Discord took over he ordered a bounty onto their heads. It was said that every one of the special unicorns were killed off using a much more brutal version of the Ritual of thievery and was killed by using a knife to drain their magic using Blood. It was said that they suffered a brutal death. Suddenly the page was transformed into a very crude version of a seeing mirror. On it Time saw someone who he recognized but couldn't put his finger on her name. She was a fiery orange unicorn who had deep brown eyes. On her flank was a fire. Her clothes were torn up and looked as if she had gone through a large struggle. She sat on a white spot with chains attached to her hooves. She had fire coming out of her horn trying to melt the chains off of her hooves. Suddenly she was stopped by a small dragon looking creature. He walked up to the unicorn and punched her with brute force. She stopped at that instant. Discord walked over to her. He mumbled a few inaudible words. He then took a dark and crude knife and stabbed her in the chest very slowly. Her bloodcurdling scream froze Time to the bone. Discord practically yelled the next part but unfortunately Time couldn't understand a word of it. He figured he was speaking a different language. When he finished the two were enveloped in a purple whirl. She screamed even louder than before and her volume increased with every slow crawling second. It took almost an eternity when she stopped and fell to the ground. She looked like a hollowed husk of what she looked before, She blinked which Time then realized she was still alive. Discord looked at her and a deep laugh sounded through the room Time was in. The purple whirl had stopped but Discord's blood-thirst didn't. He took the pony into his hands and picked up the knife he dangled it above her face and then put his arm back as far as he could. Time threw the book into the wall and looked onto the ground. His surroundings began to return. He noticed that he was sweating and his chest burned. He couldn't believe what he saw and how horrible it looked. The screams haunted his mind. He looked out into pony ville. It looked like it did normally. Ponies going about their daily life. He noticed a mail carrier bag at a mailbox that was across the street. Knowing the mail mare it would take her a while. Time took some paper and a quill and started writing a letter.
Part 2The letter read: Celestia, I have been having very weird dreams all of a sudden. I do not seem to understand what is happening with my life. It isn't just the nightmares though. Lately I have heard voices and other unusual things that I can't quite understand. This morning I was reading a book when it changed and showed me the brutal death of a familiar mare. I implore you to write to me about what is going on. Don't try to play dumb either. Luna told me that you would know. Celestia...I think I might be going insane. I don't know what this is but you really need to write back about this. Your friend, Time Spinner Time put the letter into an envelope and put a stamp on it. He levitated it and walked outside. Time lived on the quiet side of town. Which was good as he enjoyed the quiet. The houses around his were either unoccupied or had very polite teenagers. Time had seen children and considering Time had only been alive for 7 years, he was still a kid too. So you could say that Time was still a kid himself. There was a treeline behind his house that lead to the ever free forest. In front of his house led to the marketplace of pony-ville. The right path would take you to the library but Time didn't need to go there yet, so he didn't know what was back there. The left path would lead you out of pony-ville. Time was correct about the mail mare. She had just gotten to his mail box. "Hey Derpy!" Time greeted "I've got a letter for you." "Hi Time." She said in her wacky voice "Okay, give it here." Time handed her the letter "I need you to send it to the princess." "Which of the four?" She asked "Cele...Derpy there's only three." "No there's four." "Celestia, Luna, and Cadence are the only princesses I know about." Derpy was really silent for a while "MUFFINS!!!" "Um...Yeah. So anyway I need you to send it to Princess Celestia." "You can count on me!" She said "I just hope I don't run into Ditzy Doo." "Who's that?" Time asked "She a Quirky mail carrier who is always being weird." "What does she look like?" "She's grey with a blonde mane. Her eyes are always crossed and her cutie mark is bubbles." "Um Derpy you just described yourself." "Now she's coping me too! That doppelganger, when i find her I'll...Ooh right your letter! I'll deliver it right away." She said speeding off like a bullet. Time walked back into his house "Whatever goes on in that mare's head i don't want to know about. Then again it's probably just muffins." He said aloud with a chuckle Time sat down in his chair staring at the book that he threw into the wall. He tried to levitate it over to him when the mare's screams once again echoed through his ears. The book dropped at that instant. Time stood up, goosebumps and chills covered his body. "I...I need to get out here." He huffed Time put on his bags and walked out into the marketplace. He needed to get some fruit and vegetables anyway. He tried haggling for a bunch of carrots but ended up paying more than the original price. He bought all sorts of fruit and vegetables from apples to cabbages As he had finished he trotted back to his house. He saw Bon Bon pushing a cart full of carrots very slowly. Time rushed over "Here Bon Bon let me help you." "Thanks Time." She said Bon Bon stopped pushing and Time started Pushing. The cart didn't move an inch though. "No offense Time but your pretty weak." She said "Well I focused on magic more than muscles." Time said Time than levitated the cart up. Suddenly he saw a flash happen. This time it wasn't the Orange mare. It was a Dark blue Colt. His was covered in cuts and looked as if he had been beaten. If he had clothes they were no longer on him and he looked like he hadn't slept or ate for days. His cutie mark was a water droplet. There was a dragon and a Manticore standing next to the colt. Discord was also there he was holding what looked like a mace. "Now tell me..." He said in his deep voice "Who and where are the Clarions." The room was very dim with only two candles in it but the colt was in a metal chair and the walls and floor were blood red. You could tell that the room had been recently used as there was still blood puddles all over it. "I'll tell you..." The colt said "to Piss off. You'll never find them." "Oh Pisce... you brought this onto yourself." Discord said drawing his hand back and bashing the mace into the colt's leg causing fresh cuts to appear on his leg. Discord swung again on his arm causing a cracking sound to be made and a grunt from the blue colt. "You won't be able to break me that easily." The colt told Discord Discord replied with a laugh "No? Then how about this." Discord went to the other side of the room and pulled a curtain to reveal a mare. She was Dandelion Yellow with cuts and bruises all over her. Her left leg looked Broken. "Wake up!" Discord called Bashing her head with the back off the mace. She awoke but didn't say anything. "If I remember correctly than this lovely little mare is your fiance. She used to be so beautiful. Before I found her. You know what would be really terrible?" As he had taken a knife off his belt. "No..." The blue colt said "If my hand slipped and It suddenly was going to her neck...just like this..." Time had dropped the cart right onto the spot where Bon Bon wanted but Time had stayed long enough to here a scream. He stood there frozen in what felt like fear. "Time are you okay?" Bon Bon asked Time didn't answer instead he ran to his house and shut the door. He put his bags down in the kitchen, Poured himself some orange juice and sat down in the living room. He sat there sipping at it trying to get everything in his head together. He suddenly heard a knock at the door. He opened to reveal a White stallion in gold armor. "You have been summoned by Princess Celestia." He told Time. Time walked out and saw that in front of his house was a chariot. He got on and rode to Canterlot. As he arrived he rushed into the front doors. He continued to walk towards where he knew the throne room was. The Walls were still their normal pearl white. The First room was gigantic. It had a stair case that went up very high. Time had never gotten high enough to see what it led to but he was told that it was just a tower. The railings for it were gold and the ground a dark hue of purple. It was normally a welcome sight as the room in front of it was the throne but not with these...Visions Time was having. "I have to see the Princess!" Time said as he approached the guard in front of the door. "The princess is seeing some pony right now but you may speak with her afterwards. Go sit over there." The guard motioned towards a table and chairs. Time trotted over there and sat there with unease. He noticed that there was someone in front of him. It was red Pegasus. He had a brown mane and green eyes. His Cutie mark was a saxophone. "Hi there." He said "Hey..." Time said "Um I have to ask what is your name?" He said "It's Time Spinner. Why do you have to ask?" "Because the princess told me to wait for some pony named Time Spinner. My name is Echo Forte." "Echo huh? Wait why did the princess want to you to wait for me?" "How the hay should I know? I'm just a simple Saxophone jammer." "So your a musician?" Time asked "No...I'm a saxophone jammer." "Aren't they the same thing?" "That's just what the people want you to think." "Who is the people." Time asked "I don't know yet." "How can you go blaming people who you don't even know?" "I just can okay. You really need to loosen up." There was an awkward silence for awhile. "So why are you here?" Echo asked "Well i have been having nightmares and random visions of people dying and it is causing me to lose focus of everything I do." "...Well" Echo started "That is definitely a problem. I still don't see how I could help though." "Well maybe you cou-" Time started "The princess will see you now." The guard interrupted. Time got up and walked through the giant gold doors. Echo followed close behind. They entered a large circular room. The was a lavender carpet leading towards the Throne where a large white alicorn with a gold crown sat. Time recognized her as Princess Celestia. The room was mostly a white but there were a few windows and stained glass pieces that had a gold rim around it. "Time...tell me everything." She said with a regal voice. Time explained everything from nightmares of running from someone to Watching ponies getting killed. One of which looked very familiar. From Discord's torture, to the spell, to the book. Time explained everything that happened. "Celestia I need a straight answer now. What is happening to me?" Celestia sighed and walked towards a window in the room. "Have you ever heard of a clarion?" She asked "No..." Time said "During the age of prace some Unicorns found a way to transfer power to one unicorn by using the ritual of thievery on another unicorn. Eventually they found a stone. This stone was said to hold major power. They used the ritual on this stone and eight Unicorns. The stone was destroyed but the unicorns survived and gained great power. They each had a special talent in a certain element of magic. This caused their cutie mark to change into the element they mastered. The eight elements were fire, water, nature, lightning, Ground, Shadow, Wind, and Time. When Discord took over he put a bounty onto every alicorn in existence but he never found any. He learned of Clarions and wanted them to be hunted down. Eventually they were all found and killed. Their power was transferred to discord. However only half of the last element wasn't transferred. The pony of time's name was Sesona, We know she is dead. Her body was found and buried. We don't know how you know her but you are half clarion. Even still you have very little Time magic." "Wait!" Time objected "What about when I went forward 2000 years." "Well remember when I said clarion's have elements of all magic. Well Alicorns are masters of all magic..." "So you can use Time magic too?" Time asked "Well yes...Due to the half element you have you can only speed up or slow down time for a little bit. Even when you were a foal a lot of the Time magic was my doing. However I did nothing but push Rapid down. We took you and trained you because the door to Discord was immune to an Alicorns touch or magic but not to Unicorns." "What about when I sped Time up when I waited for nightmare moon." Time asked "I was waiting there as well. I saw that you trying to skip forward in time so...I just helped you a bit. Back to the matter at hand though. Time you will need to go to the temple of the clarions. It was there that The ritual of thievery took place. It is there you will lose your visions and your nightmares...but as a result you may lose your Time magic. Due to that you could become an adult blank flank and you may never learn your talent. Time you need to go to that temple." "Okay i have one last question for you though" Time said "Why the hell is he here?" Celestia smiled "It's just a test. A test of...trust. I'm sure you can manage. Now once you get to the front doors there will be a pack filled with everything you need." Time and Echo proceeded to walk out into the front room of the castle. Celestia was right their was a black pack on a table. Time levitated the pack onto his shoulders. The two walked out of the castle. Suddenly the castle doors flew open again and Celestia was there "Time!" Celestia called. Time walked over to her "If this is done wrong..." She started "You may lose your element of harmony. You cannot fail."
Part 3Time walked over rocks that looked like they had been thrown across the room. They had left Canterlot on a chariot that stopped at the base of this mountain in the middle of nowhere. It was covered with snow and Time hated snow. The mountain was also literally in the middle of nowhere. If you look out onto the horizon you would see only dark stormy clouds. As Time climbed the giant rock he noticed that it was very warm. Too warm for snow to not melt. It was a bit odd but that wasn't the only thing. Time felt very relaxed. Normally this would be a okay but For three weeks he had been on edge. Why was it that being at this place that comforted him. It was an unusual thing that he noticed but for now Time would have to ignored this. He continued to climb up with Echo right behind. "Hey Time!" He called "Want to hear a funny joke?" "We are climbing a mountain, trying to get to an ancient building which is probably filled with things that will make me flash out and maybe kill you and you want to tell a joke." Time said very annoyed "Yes?" Echo said "Go ahead." "Women's rights." Echo called out "Echo that was terrible." Time said "You know the princess is a woman right?" "Yeah." "Echo your a horrible pony." "I get that a lot." Echo said "Hey i have a question. Why don't we just fly up there?" "Because...I don't know." Echo's wings opened catching the wind blowing through the mountain. Time began to levitate and fly up to the Building on the side of the mountain. The touchdown was fine but with a surprise ending. As his hooves touched the ground he felt a burning sensation in his chest. Time put his hoof too where it was but it felt like there was something already there. Time felt it with his hoof but it cut his leg. Time froze right there. Their was a knife in his chest. He started screaming. He looked down at the blood stained snow all around him. The temple stood right in front of him but there was something different about it now. It looked as if it was laughing at him. Yes Time was sure the Temple was laughing now. In a deep gruff voice. "Time!" Echo called from behind him "Time what is wrong." "What do you mean what is wrong?!?" Time yelled "There is a knife in my chest and blood all around me!" "Time I don't see anything." Time looked down. Echo was right. The snow was bright white. Time felt for the spot that was still burning. There was nothing there though. "Time? Are you okay?" Echo asked "Yeah, just a little spooked I guess." Time said "Was that a flash?" Echo asked intrigued "I...don't know. The other flashes I had always had someone dying in them." Time said "I guess if it was I was the one dying." Time thought to himself "In any case I need to stop worrying about it. If I don't then I could get distracted." Time looked forward at the Temple. It was a lifeless gray. Moss was growing all over it. The was almost moss everywhere but there was a place that stood out.There was a letter written in red on the Side. It was D. "What does D mean?" Echo said "Discord?" "No..." Time said "If it was Discord then it would have been a bit more chaotic. This is something else." "Clarion?" "I don't think they would have used a D to represent themselves. In any case we should keep going." The pair entered the dark entrance of the Temple. Time lit it up with his horn to see the walls were just as boring as the outside of it. The pair walked for an eternity. "This is boring!" Echo said "Can't you just use some Time magic and speed us up." "I guess i could try..." Time said his horn unlit and re-lit the hall while charging the Time magic. "Wow." Time thought "Without Celestia this is really difficult." The spell was almost ready. It would just need a bit more charging. Suddenly Time heard a scream that he hadn't heard before that knocked him out of focus. "Oh great not another Flash." Time said aloud "I don't think that was a flash." Echo said "I heard it too." "Help!" The same voice said "Hurry." Time told Echo. The two found their way to an opening to another room. The walls looked like a giant tree line. The sky looked like a normal night until Time saw the second moon. It was blood red and haunted the sky. It felt like in any second it could just fall and destroy everything in its path. "Over here." Echo said flying over a certain spot. Time teleported to around where Echo was flying a circle around. It was at this moment he realized the floor was grass. Time moved forward and saw a lost earth pony. She was a light pink. Her mane was purple and white and they matched the swirls she had for eyes. Her Cutie mark was...a screw next to a ball. "Thank you for finding me!" The mare said "How did you get here?" Time asked "I don't know...I was walking to my house when I blacked out. When I woke up I was here." She seemed to jump in the air for a second "Wait did you hear the other voice?" "What other voice?" Time asked "There was a voice coming from over there." She pointed to her left "We need to save her." "Alright." Time said with echo landing behind him. "This is echo forte and my name is Time Spinner." "Hi my name is Screwball. Now we need to hurry." She said "Alright." Time said The trio walked for a while to the left. They passed trees that seemed to cause Time to remember his dream that he had almost a day ago. Time looked to his left and saw Screwball. Something looked familiar about her but Time couldn't seem to recall it. Time thought he heard a deep and dark laugh. Finally the trio came to a hallway. "I hope she's okay." Screwball said The group walked into the hallway. It returned to it's normal grey lifeless color but the floors were stone bricks now. The group walked once again for what felt like an eternity. A scream could be heard from further in. "Hurry!" Screwball said. She ran forward in front of the group. "Screwball!" Echo called "Wait, we don't know what is down there." Echo and Time followed her into a large room. It was a very horrifying sight for Time. It was blood red all over. The floor, the walls, even the roof. All were red. There was a light pink lump lying on the ground. "Screwball!" Echo said running towards her. She looked at him and he was thrown into the wall. Screwball turned around. Her eyes were red and there was a purple aura around her hooves. "Screwball?" Time said A bolt of energy was blasted at Time. He moved to the side and managed to dodge it. "I have waited for you Time spinner." "Who are you?" Time asked "My name is Screwball and I am the daughter of Discord! You will pay for what you have done." There were blasts being fired at Time from Screwball. "Your an earth pony. How can you use magic?" She smiled at this "My father gave me a few gifts before he turned to stone. I have all the powers of the clarions. Except of course one half of the last one. Now I will take your power as my father took the others." Suddenly their was a red blast from Her and Time was thrown across the Room. Time looked up and saw Screwball standing above him She stomped her hoof on the ground and Time was out cold. Time saw a Very familiar pony in front of him. She was a lavender unicorn with white and purple hair. She had a music note for a cutie mark. Time realized who he was looking at. He was looking at a grown up Melody beat. "Now I know you have the whereabouts of where Your boyfriend is. Just tell me and everything will be dropped." A voice said. "I can't speak to what I can't look at." Melody replied. Out of the darkness came a short green minotaur. Time finally noticed the room. Their were skeletons and Bodies all over it. The walls looked like they were originally a light blue but now they looked brown. The roof was white. "Your too late. Time is already long gone." The minotaur answered this with a punch into her face. "You know technically he doesn't exist right now." The minotaur then pulled a knife out and put it to her throat "Stop playing games with me and tell me where Time Spinner is!" "Or what? You'll kill me. Go ahead. Life isn't worth living without love and mine is already gone." There was a flash suddenly Every memory of Melody that Time had swam in his head. From the first time they played on the playground all the way to when Melody taught Time to focus on his magic when Celestia and Luna realized it was different for unicorns. There was another flash and Time was somewhere else. He was in his house but there was not furniture. Instead two people were there. Melody and the orange mare who Time thought was familiar. "Time!" Melody said embracing his friend "I have someone for you too meet." She pulled Time over to the Orange mare. "Time, this is Blaze. She gave birth to a certain grey unicorn I know." Time looked at her. He looked at this mare and saw her deep blue eyes and knew she was telling the truth. "Mom..." He said "I don't understand why do i have Time magic instead of Fire Magic." Blaze gave a warm smile "You see types of magic are not passed by family. We knew we had to give the magic too some one but we didn't learn until too late. The last clarion to get captured was Sesona. She must have learned how to do the spell and tried to use it on you. Now you have to do one thing. When you wake up you need to reverse the spell that Screwball is using. If you do you will forget almost all of your spells. You will also lose your ability to use Time magic. However you will stop Screwball from being as powerful as an alicorn." Everything was fading very fast. "Time you have to do this." Blaze said With that Time woke up He was tied down on a white symbol. He was just in time too. Screwball had a knife in her hoof and was aiming for his chest. She thrust the knife down but Time rolled to the side. Time was too late the knife grazed him causing some blood to hit the ground. The purple whirl had encircled the two. Time could feel the essence flowing out of him. He knew he was losing Magic and quick. He had to think of a plan yet nothing came to mind. He had to find a way out of this. Echo finally awoke from the blast that had hit him. He looked forward and saw a purple whirlwind on top of a white symbol. He had to do something. From what he had managed to learn from this adventure was purple whirlwinds were bad. He couldn't think of anything. He rushed towards the whirlwind only to be thrown back into the wall. "Well that was a failure." Echo thought. "I can't interrupt it without magic...Unless." Time knew he was going to fail. He wouldn't be able to stop Screwball. He would let every pony down. He wanted to stop her but his magic wouldn't work while in the whirlwind. It was hopeless. Time had lost all hope when a voice of hope had pierced his ears. "Time grab Screwball!" He called "I can't! My hands are bound." Time told him "Okay try to stay still." "I'm in a whirlwind. How do you expect me to-" Time was interrupted by a blue ray of light that cut through his binds. "Echo how did you do that?" Time asked "Just Get out of there." Echo called Time looked around and noticed the knife on the ground. It still had some of Time's blood on it. He took the knife and stabbed Screwball with it. The whirlwind stopped. 8 colors flood into a stone that was somehow thrown on top of the whirlwind. The stone broke and the colors fell. With no element left to take the whirlwind stopped and the Two ponies fell to the ground. Screwball got up first. There was a red flash then she disappeared. Echo ran towards Time. There was a gold ring on his hoof. Time recognized it as an element of harmony. On it was a half a happy face and half a sad face. "Time are you okay?" Time looked down and and saw parts of the rock melt into the ground. Each one glowed a different color. Time looked over and saw a the pack that Celestia told them to carry with them. Time's horn tried to lite up but failed. His mother was right. He would forget every type of magic he knew. Time walked over to the pack. It was empty.
ConclusionTime was back at the Castle now with Celestia. They stood at the balcony and looked as the Sun set to night Luna had flown over to talk to them. "So how did your journey go young unicorn." Luna asked "I'm not much of a unicorn now." Time said "I lost all of my ability to use magic." "I wouldn't say it like that." Celestia said "You can use magic still you just forgot how to use spells." "Still I'm a pretty much worthless Unicorn now." Time sighed. The white balcony and gold railings always reminded Time of great magic but now they only made him feel ashamed. "Time you still have great potential. One day I am sure you will learn how to use magic again... Right Celestia?" "Yes but you will never be as powerful as you were. The only reason that you were was because of your Clarion blood. All of that is gone from the world now though." They all looked out into the stars now. "You didn't tell me that Echo had an element of Harmony." Time said "Must have slipped my mind." She said with a laugh. "Wait does Time still have his element!" Luna asked "Yes we already checked. It's fine and working still." Celestia told her sister "You know a thought just occurred to me." Luna said "You can't use Time magic anymore but your Cutie mark is still a pocket watch." "Maybe...the pocket watch has nothing to do with Time magic." Time said "Well what would it mean?" Luna asked "I don't know...but it is a thought. We know for a fact I can't use Time magic anymore." Once again there was a silence "I have arranged for the chariot to take you and Echo back to your house. Echo will stay there for a while." "Alright." Time said turning around "Oh wait. One more question. What was in the pack you gave us?" Celestia Smiled "A rock." "The one thing that we needed for this quest was a rock?" Time asked "It was supposed to have this." Celestia handed Time a locket. He opened it to see a picture of melody on the inside. "When she died I had no idea it was that way Time." Celestia told him tears starting to stream down her eyes. It's hard to remember that after Time left Melody became friends with Celestia. Time was taken down to the castle grounds where he and Echo got on the chariot. He looked at his locket and then at Celestia. "I promise you Melody..." He thought "I will learn how to use magic again...someday."
