PONIES IN ARMS 4. THE ONE TRUE RULER REVEALED

It was then we were given the order to attack. The Las Pegasus began opening fire on the ship closest to us. She was then followed by the other ships in our battle group; all that was, but ours. Our captain instead gave the order to turn back; away from the fight. The XO was more or less angry; "Why are we turning away from the fight! It is five ships against two!" He yelled at the captain. He just simply told the XO to turn around, our shells were bouncing harmlessly against the two ships as they returned fire and both five inch shells slammed into the bridge of the Las Pegasus, turning it into twisted steel and aluminum; through my binoculars I could see blood pouring out of it. However they kept on steaming along, I assumed the OIC of the engineering department had taken over. Then the rest of our battle group started lining up for a torpedo strike; something strange happened before they could attack however, about 7 or so strange objects came out of the back of the two ships in a trail of fire. They shot into the air before leveling out and streaming out toward the four ships still fighting. Not more than 30 seconds later those weapons slammed into the side of the Las Pegasus, the San Fransiscolt, the Fillydelphia, and the Manehattan. There were a series of explosions sending all four ships to the bottom of the ocean.

By this time we were already steaming out of there. We were scared we were going to die, because we had just lost 4 ships in less than 7 minutes; while those other two were barely scratched, we also knew they could go faster than us. The strangest thing was... They just let us go; after the other four ships in our group had been sent to the bottom, those two ships just turned around and left. I'm guessing that they knew that we were retreating and had decided that we were not worth chasing down.

"So what did you think Harmony?" The old chief asked his daughter, "Was that a good story?"
