A study in Humanity

You wake up, and notice you're still next to Rarity, lying in the park next to the tree. You  fell asleep in each other's embrace last night, from what you could gather. You stand up, and pick up Rarity, to carry her home. You notice that she opens one eye, but closes it. Apparently pretending to be asleep still, so she could savor the moment. You finally arrive at the boutique.

Rarity opens both eyes, and then you let her down, she stands up. "Last night was amazing." She tells you, in her half-asleep state of mind. You open the door, and you both walk inside, you close the door behind you. "Want anything to eat" you ask Rarity.

"How kind dear, but I'm not really hungry" Rarity's smile beams back at you. "Actually honey I wanted to talk" Rarity gives you a wide smile. You nod and walk upstairs with her into her bedroom.  "Soo..." Rarity started. She had a look of nervousness in her eyes, like she was unsure how to word what she was about to say.

"I've been thinking for some time...what if we took it further, and got married". Rarity said with a heavy serious tone. You really were hit with a bomb shell. You were wondering where to start. So you open your mouth and say "I've been thinking the same thing, we should get it done soon". After you mouth these words you notice Rarity begins to cry tears of joy. "I'll have to work on the wedding dress immediately!" she says, sniffling, with a wide smile on her face.

You both walk downstairs, you turn on her oven, and cook pancakes, she had told you she loves pancakes. You make your special recipe. She smells it and says that they smell absolutely wonderful. You exchange a short kiss. When they are done you go and sit down with Rarity, you eat slowly. You cannot wait to be married to this beautiful mare, you knew from the moment you saw her that you were meant to be together.

You walk outside, happiness filling your every orifice. You are so outwardly happy that several ponies stop to ask you if you're okay. You of course say yes, that you are in fact alright. But on the inside you know that you're more than happy. You think about the preparations you'll have to make for the wedding, you come to the conclusion you should first stop by a jewelry shop and pick up a ring.

You walk up to a store with a sign featuring a necklace and ring interlocked above the door way. In the display cases you see many marvelous pieces of jewelry. You think to yourself that while all these fine accessories sure are beatiful, none of them compare to the beauty of the lovely Rarity. You walk up to the counter, and a pale blue stallion with a monocle walks up the counter. "I know that look in your eyes, stranger, you're here shopping for a wedding." You look in his eyes with amazement, you ponder how he knew that.  "Hold on,mister, I have just the thing" he says, and he walks into some kind of back room.

When the stallion returns, he has a diamond studded velvet case that he hands you. "Look at this beauty, it's only fitting for the one you care about more than anything in the world." You open the case, and see the ring itself is made of pure gold, and in the middle is a large green gem, that sparkles like a star. "How much is it?" you ask the man, preparing to reach for your wallet. "I saw the look in your eyes, she is really important to you huh? You know what, just take it for free. It's on me, and good luck" you look at him and smile, and then mouth the words thank you.

You walk out of the store and then wonder who should be the bridesmaids, you already know that Sweetie Belle is going to be the flower girl. You decide to go and ask the friends you've met to be the bridesmaids. You walk towards a field, and you see a cloud. You call out. "Hey Rainbow Dash!" and suddenly a flash occurs and in a moment the cyan pony is in front of you. "Yeah, what's up?" she asks you. "How would you like to be a bridesmaid at me and Rarity's wedding?". Rainbow smiles and says "I'd love to". You then head off to look for the others.

You start to head towards Sugar Cube Corner to go meet Pinkie Pie and ask her as well. About half way through, you run out of breath.  You say "Oh, I need to get to Pinkie Pie quickly" and suddenly Pinkie Pie pops out of one of the potted plants. "I'd LOVE to be a bridesmaid, and you know a wedding means? AN AFTER PARTY!" You were about to ask her how she knew what question you'd ask but she was gone just as quickly as she had appeared.

You start the walk out of town, you make it to about the town center, when you decide to take a quick rest, besides, you haven't really taken the time to enjoy the scenery. Since you've gotten to Ponyville, everything has been happening so quickly. You really haven't had time to take it all in.

Suddenly, you see a gray mare Pegasus approaching you. She has a yellow mane and golden eyes. They appear to be staring at two different things at once. "Uh..hi, you..umm..got a letter" she handed you the letter, and walked off.

You open the letter, and read it to yourself:

Hello, this is regarding the wedding between you and Rarity, I have discovered you were planning it and noticed something, your bind to this world is wearing thin, if nothing is done, you will be transported back to your world at the strike of midnight. However, I have found a way around this, meet me at the library, and I have a potion that could turn you into a pony, allowing you to live here forever.

I understand that this may come as a surprise to you, if you are willing to go through with it and stay here, just meet me at the library. I'll be here when you're ready.

You look at the letter in disbelief. You have so many thoughts racing through your head. For example, what is the right thing to do. The choice seems obvious but at the same time it seems like the most ambiguous thing you've ever had to decide.

You've made so many great friends here, this is everything you've ever wanted. You were, for once, truly happy, no more worries ailed you. This place was truly where you were meant to be.

You came to the decision, you had to go to the library. You started off towards Twilight's Library. You open the door, and Twilight is standing in the middle. "So, you decided to stay? That's good, we all really like you!" she said. "I've already told the other girls so they won't be surprised when the transformation is complete. Since you're marrying Rarity I've decided you should also be a unicorn". You nod in agreement with this.

Twilight pulls a particular book out, and suddenly one of the bookcases rotates, revealing a secret path. Twilight starts down the passageway, she turns to you, and says "Are you coming or what?". You snap out of your daze and follow her down the passage. You finally come into a laboratory. It has much machinery and viles of different colors.

"This is fun, we get to do something I assume that you didn't get to do when you were born, you get to pick your skin color, hair color, and height, and weight."

You suddenly perk up, this does sound fun, to design yourself, persay. You decide to go with an off white coat, with a black and grey mane. Twilight then straps you into a table, and you slowly lose consciousness.

When you awake, you are confused, you had forgotten what had immediately transpired. But you saw Fluttershy, Twilight. Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and most importantly, Rarity, all standing around you. You regain your orientation. You feel...different. You look at your hand, and notice that it's a hoof. You are amazed. "How do you feel" Twilight asks.

"I feel great" you respond.

"That's wonderful" Rarity says, she comes up to you and you kiss.

"Now we can be together forever" Rarity says.

You look into her eyes, and feel bliss, you truly want to be with her forever, and now you can.
