A great snowstorm threatens the safety and health of the ponies of Canterlot and Celestia must find a way to help her subjects. Meanwhile, Luna is hurt by her sister's neglect and loses herself in the Everfree Forest where she meets Sombra, who is also lost. Celestia ventures into the forest in hopes of finding a solution to the ending the snowstorm and within the forest meets Discord and Sombra as well. The story slightly imitates the play "Into the Woods" and is a tale about rejection and the search for family.
