That is all Celestia told me, but who is this Aura Reader?
What did she mean listen to her words?
Who, and what, is this Mare of Wisdom?
"Come in Twilight," a gentle tone echoed through the small tent. Silent sounds of rain against the fighting fabric soon took over as the echo faded.
"Are you, Aura Reader?" a tall, elegent, purple colored Alicorn stepped through the flaps of the tent, her fur coated in water.
"Yes i am, i believe Celestia spoke of me?"
"Yes, she told me to come here. To come once a week and listen to your stories." Twilight Sparkle folded her wings and sat down on the soft flooring.
"I am no Storyteller, but a Fortune Teller, but when ordered by Celestia, a story is my way."
"What are you?" Twilight awaited for a glowing horn to reveal what this 'Fortune Teller' was but it never came.
"You have a horn, why not see for yourself?" Aura took a step forward, but was still hidden in the shadows of the tent. Twilight's horn started to glow and what she saw amazed her. In front of her stood a blue Pegasus. Her long mane was red with thin black stripes through it. Her hooves were white and her eyes as blue as her fur. She wore two black bracelets on her left foreleg and two black bracelets on her right hindleg. It amazed the Alicorn that this Fortune Teller was a Pegasus, not a unicorn or Alicorn. She tried identified the pony's Cutie Mark , but it was covered by a light green cape.
"I did not think a Pegasus could be a true Fortune Teller."
"Well I am, now what troubles you?"
"It has been a year since my friends passed away, and i have been unable to contnue on without them."
"Then I will tell you a story of one who would not leave the past behind them, and then a small one of a pony who did leave the past behind them, but never forgot those they cared about."
"Then begin."
Aura's Stories.
An old mare stood beside the tomb of her old friend who was lost to her years before. She refused to leave his side and never felt the joy that she had many years before, when he was still around. Tears filled the mare's eyes as memories of the good times they had filled her mind. Days later her time had come and darkness overcame her. She believed she would see him again, that her nightmare was over. When she set her first hoof down on the light filled land she felt a rush of sadness overcome her. No one was there. It was said that each spirit had their own place, and that no others would step foot there, only the memories of them. The mare had worried herself time over time about the loss of her friend that even in Heaven he had left her. The mare had searched over their childhood home, but never found a single sign that he was still there. She looked towards the top of the mountain where the sun always stood, never did it move, only fade or brighten. She started her journey towards the top of the mountain, facing harsh struggles. When she reached the top of the mountain she stood to face the godly being at the top.
Why is he gone? Why can i not find my friend?
He is gone for you would not move on, your mind kept his death held tightly. You let his death haunt you through the few years you had left. You had a choice then, but not anymore.
Please, let him return to me.
You had a choice then, but not anymore,The godly being slowly faded as his last words echoed through the room. The mare knew she was alone, no pony there for her anymore.
"So you see, if you choose to let the past haunt your life, it wil haunt you in death as well. But it does not mean you must forget your friends, your family, or even just your home. It just means you cannot let it slow you down."
A young stallion stood beside the grave of his recently deceased wife. She had died a few days before from a heart problem. Tears swelled up in his eyes as he laid the grey roses atop the grave, in memory of the mare beneath.
I must leave, but i will not leave you. You will be with me no matter where i go, watching over me. I will find something to keep me strong, to allow me to move on. I know it is what you want, so it will be what you get.
Good-bye old friend.
The stallion slowly walked away from the mare's final resting place, tears in his eyes. A small smile had appeared on his face before the memorial was out of his vision.
Good-bye, the wind bellowed as the final words of the mare.
"He understood that leaving her to continue his life, to be strong and move on, would be what the mare wanted. She wouldn't have wanted him to stay and live in the past, to die alone and in sorrow, but to live on in happiness. Never forget your friends, but don't let their deaths keep you away from peace and happiness." and with that, the blue Pegasus set down a quill, ink, and a blank scroll before she pointed to a candle lit by a green flame.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I learned that if you let the past haunt you, it will never leave, even after death. Aura's story spoke that moral without trouble. I will do the right thing, i will leave the past behind me, but never forget those who stood by me.

Those two stories that Aura Reader told me will never leave my heart. I learned something important that day, and i will never forget those words.
Week Two - Try New Things
What if i have no need of a lesson one week?
Then ask for a story and find a moral

Alright.
I have nothing on my mind this week, and it is almost over. Celestia said to ask for just a simple story. Maybe I can ask for my fortune to be read? Either way, i am going to visit her.
Twilight carefully landed outside of the blue tent. She noticed that there were now purple stars etched into the old fabric, the stars being the same shape as her Cutie Mark. As she stepped through the flaps, she caught sight of a small sign. 'Tell Me A Story.' it read. The alicorn looked at it slightly puzzled before shifting her mind back to her main goal. She finished walked back inside and sat in the same spot as she had the week before.
"Aura?"
"Yes Twilight?" the blue pegasus through a flap in the back of the tent. Twilight swore she had seen a light blue glow from behind the fabric when she entered, but that didn't make sense. Aura was a Pegasus, not a unicorn. Whatever the glow was, she chose to ignore it. She looked back at the pegasus before speaking.
"I have never seen your mark. What is it?" What a stupid question! She came for a story, not personal info! She shook her head and apologized before relaxing slightly. The pegasus just chuckled before sitting down on her side of the table.
"My mark is simple, but my talent is not. Now why is it you are here? Celestia informed me you had nothing new happening."
"I just want to listen to a story."
"What kind of story? Many ponies have a favorite genre." Genre. Not exactly a word most ponies used, though it was the correct word to use. Most ponies would say 'type' or 'theme' but 'genre' was more of a word to Twilight's likeness.
"I go more towards sciences, history, or magic," the purple mare finally answered a little sheepishly.
"Adventure?"
"Not usually."
"Fantasy?"
"Nope, i prefer more nonfiction."
"Then i shall do a fantasy," the pegasus smiled, mocking the alicorn slightly.
"Why?"
"You need to listen to something new."
"Alright..."
"I will include some science. There are many kinds of fiction. Science fiction, historical fiction."
"Just do fantasy. You're right, i should listen to something different."
"Alright, let us begin..."
The Story
Far in the mountains slept a mighty dragon, one who was set apart from the rest. His scales were as white as the falling snow and his wings were transparent, the grey stone he slept on being visible through the clear membrane. His spikes were jagged like shards of ice and his eyes a crystal blue. As hard as the mighty beast tried, he could not even create a small spark of fire. Everytime he tried, a blizzard would succumb the mountain and the animals would freeze. He was outcasted, different. No dragon cared about what was to become of the dragon. One day, the white dragon finally traveled with his kin, still isolated from them though. When they arrived to their destination, the beast rested on an icy perch that reminded him of his home in the mountains. There, he wasn't ignored. A small white hatchling landed before him and bowed before returning to where it came. The white dragon did not understand why the hatchling would bow as though he were special. A dark red dragon flew over to the dragon's icy perch, a dark scowl on his.
How dare an outcast rest on the perch of a god, the red beast growled.
Perch of a god? The ice only reminds me of home, the white dragon sighed, afraid of an attack.
Prove you are a god of ice, freeze the lava pool, the fire dragon smirked. The white dragon nodded and calmly flew over. He opened his jaws, half hoping his flames would finally come. Soon a jet of ice shot the lava, freezing it solid instantly. He didn't thik it was possible, turning the lava into ice. It quickly melted though, proving he had yet to succeed. The dragon tried again, this time the ice landing in the lava. After a few moments the lava turn into a smooth obsidian, proving his task was complete. A few dragons cheered, the red one scowling in his defeat.
You have proven you are the Ice Dragon, the rare white beast, the red dragon growled, allowing the icy dragon to return to his perch. The white dragon felt proud, having changed from a fireless outcast to an icy god.
"That was actually interesting," Twilight admitted. The pegasus smiled in pleasure and once again pointed to the candle, a scroll, ink, and quill already prepared. Twilight nodded and calmly walked over.
Dear Princess Celestia,
Aura told me a fantasy about a lonely ice dragon. I actually learned two things this week. From the story, i simply learned that something different may be more than it seems. From Aura, i learned that trying new things can be truly fun. It can sometimes expand your horizons, so i am hoping to read a few more fantasies when i return.
