Chapter 3: She's a what?

Twilight opened the door into her library and trotted in quickly, surprising Spike as he ran up to her.

"Twilight! Where have you been? You never came back last night!" said Spike.

Twilight walked past him and went right into the dark fiction section of the library, "I was held up because Fluttershy tur-uh, I mean... had a... concussion!"

Spike scratched his head "How did that happen?"

Twilight bite her lip, "She, uh, got scared, and uh, a tree, fell on her..."

Spike raised his eyebrow "Twilight, that doesn't make any sense! Wait a minute..."

Twilight started to sweat, "Uh, what?"

Spike walked up to her slowly, "Fluttershy is..."

Twilight interrupted him, "You got me! She's a Marewolf!"

Spike and Twilight stood there in awkward silence for a few moments.

Spike then just scratched behind his head and said "I thought you were all out partying... she's a what?"

Twilight facehoofed at herself, and said "No no! I didn't say anything about a Marewolf! It isn't like Fluttershy was bit by a lycan at a young age and turned during last night's full moon..."

Twilight then thought about what she just said, turned around, and properly began hitting her head on the bookshelf.

Spike stared at Twilight in surprise, "Fluttershy, is a, Marewolf? That is AWESOME!"

Twilight turned back to Spike, "Spike! Just do NOT tell anypony about this, alright!"

"Alright, my lips are sealed." replied Spike, as he pretended to zip his lips shut.

"Okay, now um, find me any books about lycanthropy you can find." said Twilight.

"On it!"
-----------------------------At the Apple Family Farm----------------------------
Applejack finished the hoax explanation of where she had been all night, and with her cheesy smile, her whole family was suspicious.

Appleboom raised and eyebrow and said, "Why would Fluttershy need help painting a fence, through the whole night?"

Granny Smith added "Something tells me you’re trying to hide something."

Big Mac Finished it with an "Eeyup"

Applejack sighed, "Look, Ah can't tell you what actually happened, it's Fluttershy's secret."

"Why not?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"Because... wait, Rainbow, what are yah doing here?!" said Applejack as she turned around to see Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash sat down, "I heard you blatantly lying so I came over to see what is making you tell a lie... and believe me you can't lie to save your life."

Applejack just started walking out to the fields, "Look! I can't tell y'all about it, now just hush up, I have some chores to get done."

Rainbow Dash watched Applejack trot away, and said out loud "I will just go ask Fluttershy!" before speeding away in the air. This left the rest of the Apples to just shrug it off.

---------------------At Twilight's Library---------------------

Twilight read through a story about Lycans and Vampires. She chose to read this one first because her name was in the title, though she eventually figured out it was a useless romance, and threw it out the window.

"Alright." said Twilight scanning the covers, "Aha! this one SEEMS legit." she continued while picking up a book entitled The Guide to Vampires, Lycans, and Dragons'.

Then came a sudden knocking on her door, "Spike, can you get that?"

"Sure thing" replied the young dragon as he went toward the door.

Upon opening it, he was met by Rarity, "Hello Spike! Is Twilight around? I want to discuss what decorations she would prefer at tonight's party."

"She is kind of busy reading up on Lycans, but I will go see." Replied Spike as turned to get Twilight.

Rarity stood there for a second, and cocked her head, "Now why would Twilight be reading up on such mythologies as a Lycan? What is Celestia expecting her to do? Oh please don't let there be a lycan king trying to take over or something..."

Spike returned, "She said it would have to wait."

Rarity still had a puzzled look on her face, "Do you know why Twilight is reading up on such mythologies?"

Spike laughed "Of course, it is because Fl- Wait! Sorry, I am not supposed to mention it to anypony..."

Rarity walked toward Spike, "Come now, you can't keep a secret from me, can you?"

Spike cleared his throat, "Sorry, but, uh, I just can't..."

Rarity did her best to look as attractive as possible to Spike, "Come now, like telling me is going to hurt anything."

Spike breathed in, and said "Fluttershy is a Marewolf!"

Rarity stood there staring blankly, "A, Marewolf? Ahahaha! Nice joke Spike, but that's impossible, we have all seen her out on full moons before."

Spike looked around cautiously, and whispered to Rarity "It's true, That is why Twilight and Applejack were at her house all night yesterday. But please don't tell anypony!"

Rarity winked, "I won't tell anypony." Before she went out the door and smiled on her way back home.

Then, halfway home, what she just learned sunk in.

"SHE'S A WHAT!?!?!?" Shouted a suddenly surprised Rarity in the middle of the market, causing everypony to stare at her.

"Uh, sorry everypony, just go back to your business..."

--------------------At Fluttershy's cottage----------------------

Fluttershy came out her back door equipped with all the items she needed to feed the critters. All of the little and big animals began coming around her and acting all excited for their food, enough that some of them might kill... an orange.

"Calm down everyone, I have plenty for all of you." said Fluttershy to the mass of excited critters.

She began with feeding all of the open feeders, including the bird feeders, and some water and food bowls in the yard. She then moved on to the chicken coop and filled the feeders while counting chickens.

As she came out, Fluttershy was suddenly met by Rainbow Dash, who said: "Hey Fluttershy! What are you up to?"

Fluttershy jumped back, then realizing it was just Dash, picked up her food bucket, "Oh, uh, I am just feeding the critters."

Rainbow Dash looked at the large amount of animals, "Y'now you could charge admission for ponies to come here like it was a zoo, hahaha!"

Fluttershy replied "I guess so, but I only really want to make sure the animals are taken care of, I'm not in it for any sort of payment."

Fluttershy flew over to another bird feeder, noticing it was already almost empty, and Rainbow Dash followed.

"So, I was wondering what you, Twilight, and Applejack were up to last night." said Rainbow Dash.

Fluttershy jumped a bit, "W-What?! Oh, uh, nothing much, just, um." not being able to think of anything Fluttershy muttered off and flew to another bird feeder pretending to take care of it.

Rainbow Dash followed again, and replied in a suspicious tone, "I was just wondering, because they were here all last night, and I overheard Applejack trying to cover up something..."

Fluttershy turned away from Rainbow Dash, "Uh, um, It's just that, uh..."

Suddenly, Pinkie Pie jumped up in front of the two Pegasi.

"HEY GUYS! What are you talkin about?" said Pinkie before falling back down to the small trampoline she must have placed.

Fluttershy cleared her throat, "Nothing, just uh, I'm just feeding my animals."

Rainbow Dash looked at Pinkie slightly confused, "I was just asking Fluttershy what she Twilight and Applejack were doing last night."

Pinkie replied as she was mid air again "Ooo! What were you doing Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy scratched behind her head, and replied "Just... um, feeding Angel."

Rainbow Dash eyed her, "Now I know that bunny eats a lot, but you’re saying you had Twilight and Applejack there ALL night, just to continuously feed him?"

Fluttershy starting to sweat a bit, and just slowly flew backwards away from Rainbow and Pinkie, "Uhhh, yes, maybe, no, I mean yes!"

Pinkie Pie knowing what Fluttershy just said was bull, replied "Come on Fluttershy! It can't be that bad! It isn't like we will think you were a monster if you were partying or something."

Fluttershy turned around and flew over to another feeder, and starting over filling it with birdseed, "I-it's just..."

Rainbow Dash began getting frustrated, "You can't stay cooped up forever Fluttershy! Do you like hanging out with Twilight and AJ more than me now?"

Fluttershy replied "It is n-n-not like that...."

"Besides, if it something bad, we can help, just tell me what happened!" said Rainbow Dash.

Right then, Fluttershy dropped the heavy bag of birdseed onto the ground, "I'm a Marewolf!" she yelled almost like it came as instinct.

Directly after, she gasped, and flew in place before slowly turning to Rainbow Dash.

"I-I-I..." started Fluttershy, before her eyes teared up, and she flew into her house and locked the door.

Rainbow Dash flew in place confused, "What?"

Pinkie π added "Well that was a doozy..."

--------------------Apple Family Farm----------------------

Applejack carried a wheelbarrow filled with buckets of apples to the barn, and left it there before heading back towards the field. But then before she went out, she noticed Rarity coming down the road rather fast.

Applejack trotted up toward her and they met not to far from the barn, "What are yah up to Rarity?"

Rarity had a look of worry on her face, "Um, I was just wondering, you were at Fluttershy's place last night with Twilight, right?"

Applejack sighed, Not this again..., she thought, before replying "Um, yeah..."

Rarity looked around and got close to Applejack, "So... is it true?"

Applejack raised an eyebrow, "Is what true?"

Rarity looked around, "Uh, that Fluttershy is... uh..."

Applejack got the sense Rarity already knew, and replied "Are you talking about, um, something to do with the, uh, full moon?"

Rarity sighed, "Yes, so is Fluttershy a..."

Applejack finished Rarity's sentence for her, "A marewolf? Yes."

Rarity looked around, and they both sat in silence, before Applejack asked, "Who told you?"

Rarity replied "Uh, Spike did, I just wanted to make sure he was not messing with me."

Applejack groaned, "That dragon can't keep a secret from you, can he? Anyway, just make sure you tell NOPONY else! Ah don't want the town going into angry mob form at poor Fluttershy."

"Of course, but, is it safe, to be around her?" asked Rarity.

"Yes, just not on a full moon... She ran out of whatever this potion was that was keeping her from changing." replied Applejack.

Rarity looked around, "I see, well, see you later... I guess..."

Applejack replied "Same here."

The two stood there awkwardly for the next few seconds, before Rarity headed off back to town. Applejack readily sighed, and continued her work.

Fluttershy closed all the curtains of her house, and buried herself into her bed, letting out many tears into the pillow.
She quickly heard Rainbow Dash through the door downstairs, "Fluttershy! Fluttershy! It's alright!"

Fluttershy looked up for a second, and decided to just bury herself back into her pillow. She just wanted to be alone forever at this point. Not long after, Fluttershy heard Pinkie talking, but she couldn't make it out. Eventually, the voices stopped, and Fluttershy decided that meant the two had left.

She continued to cry about it, remembering back to the past, when it happened. Then to when she changed the first few times. All of these thoughts along with what could happen rendered Fluttershy into a complete emotional outburst. After an hour or so of continuous crying, Fluttershy slowly fell to sleep.

"You Monster!" Shouted some unrecognized Pony, as Fluttershy ran around a dark corner.

"Kill the beast!" Shouted another, as Fluttershy ran faster.

"Cut its throat, bash its head!" Shouted multiple in unison, seeming to make it a chant, "Cut its throat, bash its head! Spill its blood!"

Fluttershy hit a wall, and in tears turned to the large mob, "I'm sorry! It's not my fault!"

Suddenly, Twilight Sparkle came forward, "Yes it is! You’re a monster! And there is only one way to deal with that!"

Fluttershy pressed against the wall, and Pinkie Pie shouted "You don't deserve to live! You make everypony upset!"
"Let's get rid of it now!" shouted Applejack.

"Make it suffer for what it has done!" Yelled Rarity.

Fluttershy covered her face and sobbed, "I didn't do anything!"

Twilight Sparkle came up closer to Fluttershy, "I tried to give you a chance, but all you did was kill Rainbow Dash, not with a second thought!"

"No, No! I didn’t, she is still around!" said Fluttershy in fear and sadness.

Twilight began laughing maniacally, "In your time you haven't, but it does happen in the story Fluttershy! And doesn't end there! You move on to Applejack, and Pinkie Pie, and Rarity, and then Twilight Sparkle!"

As Twilight said each name, the pony named vanished into thin air, until she eventually did, leaving a threatening mob.

Fluttershy continued crying, as the mob started to deform into red swirls of faces of angry ponies, "Avenge them! Make it suffer! It's just a monster! It cannot grasp the true form of harmony!"

Fluttershy covered her ears "No! No! No! It's not true!"

Suddenly, with a flash, everything stopped, and Fluttershy opened her eyes.

"W-What?" she asked looking around in confusion.

All of the mob had vanished, and all that was left was a forest in the nighttime, and one figure in the sky. The figure flew towards Fluttershy. As it got closer, she recognized it as Princess Luna.

"P-P-Princess?" stuttered Fluttershy, as Luna landed in front of her.

"Hello Fluttershy" replied the Princess of the Night.

Fluttershy looked at her, and she wiped some tears away, "A-Are you real? Or just a dream?"

Luna looked at Fluttershy, "I am real, but we’re in your own dream."

Fluttershy looked around, the scenery was similar to that of the Everfree forest.

"Why are you here?" asked Fluttershy

"I felt a very large disturbance, so I came to investigate. Do you know what fear has brought about such a nightmare?" responded Luna.

Fluttershy looked at the ground, "It's just that, a secret of mine got out to some of my friends today... a very, bad secret..."

Luna examined Fluttershy, "And you’re afraid of this secret?"

"Very much so... I don't want to hurt my friends, or any other innocent pony..." replied Fluttershy.

Luna looked at Fluttershy, Then she looked to the sky, and made the full moon appear. In response Fluttershy backed away, and said "W-What are you doing?"

Luna made the moon vanish in an instant, "So you’re a... We had more like you around at my time..."

Fluttershy nodded while looking away, and Luna continued "Let me tell you something right now before you wake up. You have already done much good for your friends, and Equestria as a whole, and there is more you can and will do. Do not let this secret of yours get in the way of who you are. But now, I am afraid you will have to wake up..."

Suddenly, Luna vanished, and Fluttershy said out to the shifting landscape "Princess! Where are you going?!"

Suddenly, Fluttershy opened her eyes, in her bed, while the sunset outside.

Chapter 4: Don't drink suspicious liquids... just don't

My New Years Resolution? Not to drink suspicious liquids. Here's why...

The next week passed quietly. Fluttershy stayed at home, but Applejack and Twilight stopped by every day to make sure she was alright and to bring her the news. They reassured Fluttershy that only her closest friends knew what she had been through, and that they understood. They never stayed long, however.

Saturday began the same as any other day. Fluttershy woke up and fed her critters, but discovered that her stocks of seeds, nuts, and vegetables were nearly empty. She groaned and flopped face-down on the couch.

"Maybe Applejack can bring some food," said Fluttershy.

She heard a loud thumping coming from the door, and looked up thinking one of her friends might be knocking. Instead, she saw Angel Bunny beating the doorframe with his hind paw.

"Me? Oh, I don’t know..."

Angel coughed and flopped on the floor, his mouth open and his front paws pointing at the near-empty cabinets.

"I know you need food," said Fluttershy. "But if somepony finds out about me..."

Angel lifted a paw to point at the calendar. It showed last Saturday's date.

Fluttershy sighed. "You're right. I need to try."

Rabbits, squirrels, mice, beavers, and turtles readily brought Fluttershy her saddlebags. Angel grabbed her bangs and lead her to the door. Fluttershy wanted nothing more than to fly back to the couch and hide under a cushion, but she took a deep breath and opened the door.

The day was beautiful. The sky was blue, birds chirping, all of that charming stuff. Fluttershy stepped cautiously into it, first one hoof, then the other. Miraculously, the world didn't end. Fluttershy broke into a trot, thinking she might be able to face the day after all.

After an hour at the market, Fluttershy's saddlebags were laden with fresh honeysuckles for Hummingway, radishes and asparagus for Angel, and acorns, nuts, lettuce, and carrots for all her other animal friends. She’d felt better after each stall.
Eventually, she came to Sugarcube Corner.

The shop was empty except for the zaftig owner and manager, Mrs. Cake, and sweets of all kinds, from cakes to buns and scones, lined the shelves and trays.

"Fluttershy! How've you been?" said Mrs. Cake, looking up from the register. "I haven't seen you in over a week."

"Oh, I was, um, ill," said Fluttershy, hiding behind her mane. "But I feel much better now."

"Well that's great!" said Mrs. Cake, smiling an encouraging smile. "Did you want to buy something?" she said hopefully.

Fluttershy looked around. "Can you suggest something?" she said. "I haven't had anything sweet in a while."

Mrs. Cake looked around at her wares. "I have the perfect thing," she said. "How’d you like a dozen cupcakes, twenty percent off?"

Fluttershy smiled back. "Oh, thank you Mrs. Cake!"

"Don't mention it," replied Mrs. Cake. Fluttershy took the white cardboard box, then turned to go. "Oh! I almost forgot!" said Mrs. Cake. "Pinkie Pie told me to give you this new recipe she was experimenting with."

Fluttershy cocked her head. "A new recipe? For what?"

Mrs. Cake turned to some cabinets and pulled out a well-decorated canteen, it was metal, and had lined designs all leading into a lock in the center. "Some sort of iced tea. She said she was going to give it out to everypony in town. How generous!"

Fluttershy smiled. "I'll be sure to thank her."

Applejack, Pinkie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight had gathered in Twilight's library. Twilight eyed Rainbow Dash oddly as she hovered among the highest shelves, "You can't be serious," she said.

Rainbow Dash looked offended. "It's true!" she said, crossing her forelegs and pouting. "I stopped by Fluttershy's house, and she had actually gone to town!"

"Well Ah hope that means she's feeling better," Applejack replied.

"Maybe now we can have a Welcome Back Fluttershy party! I should go invite her!" Pinke started bouncing toward the door.

Rarity sidled in front of her and held up a hoof. "Now hold on. We mustn't push ourselves on her."

Twilight nodded. "Rarity's right. We still need to give Fluttershy her space, but there has to be a way of showing her we're still here for her without smothering her."

The door swung open. Everypony turned to look, and saw Fluttershy holding a box of cupcakes.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything," she said, shuffling one hoof against the doormat. "I just wanted to visit, if that's okay."

Twilight trotted up to Fluttershy. "Of course you can come in!" she said. "How are you?"

Fluttershy shut the door. "A little better," she said.

"Well Ah'm glad to hear it!" said Applejack with a grin.

Fluttershy looked around. "So...all of you, um, know..."

"Yes," said Rarity quickly. "But trust me darling, you have nothing to be ashamed of."

"Yeah, you're still Fluttershy," agreed Rainbow Dash, "just twenty percent furrier!" She smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of her neck with her hoof. "Hehehe...sorry."

Fluttershy set down her saddlebag then sat, smiling slightly, by the book-strewn table. "Thanks," she said.

Pinkie Pie broke the comfortable silence. "So, what's it like?"

"I think it'd be pretty cool, getting to be a wolf for a night," said Rainbow Dash with a mischievous grin. "I would be able to scare so many ponies on Nightmare Night!"

Applejack glared at Pinkie and Rainbow, but Fluttershy decided to answer. "I feel like I have to watch myself all the time. I'm scared of what I might do. And my head hurts..."

Twilight cleared her throat. "What about your potion?"

"I only have one dose left, and I won't be able to make more for another six months," said Fluttershy, her voice starting to rise to a squeak.

Pinkie wrapped her foreleg around Fluttershy. "Don't worry Fluttershy! You won't hurt anypony."

Fluttershy looked away. "I hope so..." she said, not really sounding any calmer. "Can you...promise to not let me...even if it means..."

"Fluttershy! Don't talk like that!" said Rarity.

"I'm serious!" said Fluttershy, her voice so high the others could barely hear her.

"Alright Fluttershy," said Pinkie reassuringly. "I promise not to let you hurt anypony. Cross my heart and hope for pie, stick a cupcake in my eye."

Fluttershy nodded and took a deep breath.

"So..." said Applejack, "Ah think it's about time we rescheduled that party Pinkie was planning.

"You haven't had it yet?" said Fluttershy, her voice a little more normal.

Applejack winked. "We told ya we'd wait till you could come."

Pinkie Pie's face broke into a grin. "Finally!" she exclaimed. "Let's have it the day after tomorrow!"

Fluttershy smiled back, and took the canteen Mrs. Cake gave her out of her saddlebag. She opened it and was surprised by the strength of its scent. It reminded her of fresh cinnamon, but there was something else too. She took a small sip, and her eyes widened at the taste. "This is wonderful tea, Pinkie." she said.

Pinkie raised an eyebrow. "Good! I don't know why you telling me though."

Fluttershy took another, bigger, sip. "Mrs. Cake told me you were trying a new recipe, and gave me some to try."
Pinkie closed her eyes and her head. "I don't make iced tea."

"Then why did she tell me you made it?" asked Fluttershy.

Pinkie Pie shrugged, and Fluttershy looked at the drink. She took a huge gulp, then gripped the top in her teeth and threw her head back. The drink poured down her throat and slopped onto the floor.

Twilight's eyes narrowed. "I think I should take a look at that," she said firmly, yanking the canteen out of Fluttershy's mouth with her magic and turning it right side up. The small remainder sloshed noisily.

"Couldn't I just have another sip, please?" asked Fluttershy, her eyes following the canteen as it floated across the room to Twilight.

The unicorn dripped a few drops into a nearby beaker and wafted the air above it into her face. Then she wiped the beaker clean with a bit of gauze and touched the gauze to the tip of her tongue. "Hmm," she said, smacking her lips. "It actually tastes rather bland."

Fluttershy's face appeared over her shoulder, making her start. "Okay, good, let me have another sip." She reached for the canteen with her hooves.

Twilight held it out of her reach with her magic. "Fluttershy, this isn't like you. I think I should do more tests-"

Fluttershy laughed oddly. "What do you mean? I just think it tastes really-" Her eye began to twitch "—really good. Just give it back!"

Twilight stoppered the lid. "Not until I'm sure it's safe," she said firmly.

Sweat appeared on Fluttershy's brow, and her eye twitched again. "It's fine! Just give it to me!" She lunged at the canteen, but Twilight jerked it up, out of her reach.

Rainbow Dash stooped and pulled up into a hover between Fluttershy and the floating container. "Fluttershy, what's gotten into you?"

Fluttershy picked herself off the floor and felt her head. "I-I just need more of t-t-that! Come on Twilight! One more s-s-sip won't hurt!"

"Fluttershy," said Twilight slowly, fear in her voice, "I think this drink is affecting you."

Fluttershy's eye twitched again, then again. "N-N-No! I'm f-fine! Just g-give it to me!"

Fluttershy lunged again, this time at Twilight. Almost too fast to see, Rainbow Dash headbutted her out of the air.

"Fluttershy! Calm down!"

"Hold her here. I’m taking this down to my lab," said Twilight, opening the door to the basement.

Applejack felt her head. "Fluttershy, are you alright?" she said. "You're really warm."

Fluttershy raised her hooves and bopped Applejack in the face.

"Ow! What in tarnation?" shouted Applejack. She staggered away from Fluttershy, who leapt into the air after Rainbow Dash.

"Fluttershy? What are you doing?" yelled Pinkie Pie.

Fluttershy dove below Rainbow Dash's belly and bucked her into one of the shelves. She fell heavily to the floor, books falling around and onto her with painful-sounding thumps. She turned in midair and dove at Rarity, who screamed, but just before she could reach her a pink shoulder crashed into the side of her head and she sprawled out on the ground again. A moment later, Pinkie's face appeared above hers, almost bright red with hurt and anger. She straddled Fluttershy, pinning her wings down with her hooves and her hooves down with her body.

"I made you a Pinkie promise!" she shouted.

"Let me go!" yelled Fluttershy, gnashing her teeth.

She felt her jaw lock in place, and saw the blue glow of magic at the edge of her vision. "Stop this!" came Rarity's voice. "You're acting like a brute. This isn't you."

Fluttershy, with great effort, turned her head to look at Rarity. Their eyes locked, and Rarity's magic faltered. Her knees began to knock, and she whimpered. The basement door sprung open, there was a purple flash, and Fluttershy knew no more.

Fluttershy awoke to a sore body and a sorer head. The sounds and vibrations of hoofsteps all around her made it worse. She attempted to rub her eyes, but when she tried to move her hooves she found they were trussed up by a thick, expertly knotted rope. "Hmm..." she groaned.

"Hold on everypony, she's coming to!" said Applejack.

Fluttershy opened her eyes and looked around. She was still in the library, with her friends gathered around her. They looked so worried.

"What happened?" said Fluttershy.

Twilight sighed. "I found a strange compound in the tea. I've never seen anything like it before."

"Tea?" said Fluttershy, not sure what Twilight was talking about. A moment later, however, it all came rushing back to her. "Oh! I-I-I'm so sorry! I-I didn’t mean to..."

"It's not your fault, Sugarcube," said Applejack. “Somepony put something in your drink."

"Actually," said Twilight seriously, "when I went back to Sugarcube Corner Mrs. Cake told me she gave a canteen like this to all her customers today. She had a few left, though, and I found the same substance in all of them. But it only affected you..." She trailed off, looking troubled.

"So you’re not mad?" asked Fluttershy in a worried tone.

"Nah!" said Rainbow, smiling a cocky smile and rubbing her ribs. "It's not like you could hurt me much anyway."

"And I'm so so happy I didn't have to keep my Pinkie promise," said Pinkie.

Applejack pulled on an end of the rope, and it fell loosely around Fluttershy. "Ah fed yer critters while you were out, but I think they're missing you."

Fluttershy sat up. "Thanks...I should go check on them..." Ashamed of herself, she was glad her friend had given her an excuse to leave the library.

"Be careful," chided Twilight. "Whoever wanted you to drink that tea is still out there."

Fluttershy looked at the ground. "Okay..." she said.

Fluttershy cantered down the road, looking around and behind her. What if Twilight's mystery pony was following her? She was so busy looking around she forgot to look ahead, and bumped into Bon Bon.

"Oh! I'm so sorry," said Fluttershy, backing away.

Bon Bon cocked her head. "Oh, that's alright, Flutterbye," she said amiably.

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow at Bon Bon. They didn't know each other that well, but the earth pony had never gotten her name wrong before. She was an earth pony, wasn't she? Fluttershy was sure of it. So why did she have wings?

"It's Fluttershy," she said quietly.

Bon Bon laughed, her mirth seeming creepy and out of place to Fluttershy. "Of course, how silly of me." She wrapped a hoof around Fluttershy's shoulders and drew her close. "Now I was wondering," she murmured conspiratorially in Fluttershy's ear, "have you seen or heard anything weird around town recently?"

Fluttershy turned her head to look at Bon Bon. There was a greedy look in her eyes. "Um, no, not really," she said, wanting the conversation to be over as quickly as possible.

"Howling?" Bon Bon said, almost whispering now.

"No," said Fluttershy firmly, her heart beginning to pound.

Bon Bon laughed again and let her go. "Well I guess I'll see you later then!"

"You too, I guess..." said Fluttershy, relieved. As Bon Bon began to walk away, an idea hit her. "And tell Lyra I said hi."

"Who?" said Bon Bon, looking back.

"A mint green unicorn with a gold harp cutie mark," said Fluttershy, thinking quickly. "You'll know when you see her."

Bon Bon sat there with a dumbfounded look, and suddenly laughed even more creepy-like, "Oh Lyra, uh, Bootlegger? Yes, of course! hah hah, I got to go now!"

And with that Bon Bon flew away, leaving a very confused Fluttershy. So, Fluttershy eventually decided to continue down the road, not feeling like chasing after somepony.

A few minutes down the road, Fluttershy bumped into Lyra and, Bon Bon.

"Uhhh..." started Fluttershy staring at Bon Bon.

"Why hello Fluttershy!" said Bon Bon.

"Bon Bon, where did your wings go?" asked an even more confused Fluttershy.

Lyra laughed "Fluttershy, Bon Bon has never had wings, and if she did, she is too afraid of heights to bother trying to use them!"

Bon Bon hit Lyra on the shoulder, "You don't need to be so rude about it."

Fluttershy cocked her head, and replied "Oh, sorry, I got a bit mixed up!"

Lyra and Bon Bon laughed, and walked further into town, leaving Fluttershy really rather confused.

“What...?” started Fluttershy to herself, as she started walking, stopped, and turned back again, “What? BonBon... wings... no wings?”

Fluttershy thought for a second, realizing something was up. So she readily went home at the speed of speed.

Chapter 5: Memories.

Fluttershy laid in her bed, thinking about the events of the day. Mostly what that drink was, and more on what was up with Bon Bon.

I can't believe I actually attacked my friends... I can even remember it plain as day...

Fluttershy turned and changed positions multiple times unable to sleep. Eventually Angel hopped into her room and noticed she was still lying awake. So, he hopped up onto her bed and snuggled under her foreleg.

"Thanks Angel..." Said Fluttershy, as she finally started to doze off...

Fluttershy looked around, as it seemed she was in a large field in the middle of the night. She walked forward for a little while, wondering where everything would lead.

After a little bit, she saw a strange old looking temple of sorts, and flew towards it.

Upon coming to the front, the door opened slowly on its own, and Fluttershy cautiously went inside.

"H-Hello?" asked Fluttershy cautiously, looking around the large dark room.

Suddenly, multiple candles light up around the room, revealing it to have the look of a church, all the way up to a large chair at the very end of it. The building had a Roman style of construction, with only windows up top, other than the clear roof showing the night sky.

Suddenly, a voice spoke from behind, "Hello Fluttershy, you’re looking a bit better than before."

Fluttershy turned around quickly, to see Princess Luna standing in the doorway.

"Oh! Princess Luna!" Said Fluttershy in surprise, "Uhm, w-where are we? If you don't mind me asking."

Luna spoke calmly, "In your dreams, but the setting is from my consciousness. I'm sorry I have not met with you yet, I meant too, but there were other duties I needed to attend to."

Luna walked slowly toward the end of the temple, and Fluttershy followed cautiously.

Fluttershy spoke up curiously as she stared at the structure of the building, "What did you want to meet me about?"

Luna turned around, "I want, actually 'need', to make sure you can handle this yourself. As I spoke of before, in my time, there were more like you, with the curse."

Fluttershy looked at Luna, "Oh, yeah..."

Luna continued, "I understand you had a way of not changing, though that potion did not exist in my time yet. We had more of a, counseling system, to make sure ponies with this curse knew how to avoid hurting others, and some even learned how to control it."

Fluttershy got a bit curious, "Control? I don't know, that seems rather, dangerous..."

Luna looked out one window, "What else is dangerous is letting one of them get a hold of you. Trust me, It would not only be bad for you, but all of us."

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow, "Them?"

"There are some ponies, or things, who know how to use a lycan for their own desires. And lycans, under the control of some pony with bad intentions, are much worse than a lycan out on the loose." said Luna.

Fluttershy thought about that for a second, "Is there any of them, intending to do that to me?"

Luna gave a grave look, "Yes, very specifically too... Celestia and I have been tracking them, but we still know too little information to know who exactly it is."

Fluttershy gulped, "There was an, incident, today..."

Luna quickly replied, "Yes, I know of that already. And I will inform you know that I shall be watching over you for now, until we can get this problem solved. But now that brings me to the main reason I am here now..."

"What is that, reason...?" asked Fluttershy, with a worried look.

Luna walked toward Fluttershy, "I want to try and teach you how to control it."

"WHAT?!" screeched Fluttershy, "I-I-I mean, can't you just get me more of t-the potion?"

Luna shook her head, "I have not the potion nor the supplies to make it. And this way, if something happens, it won't end in tragedy."

"B-But, isn't there anything else? Can't you use a spell to cure me?" Asked Fluttershy, as she tried to think of a way out of this.

"You already know the answer to that." replied Luna, "Listen, I know the idea may scare you... but trust me, this is safer than it seems."

Fluttershy sat there thinking of many things at once, as she quivered under the thought of that. Though, she knew perhaps this was the better way to go.

Fluttershy gave it one last thought, and breathed in before replying, "Okay."

Luna gave a small smile, "Now don't worry, none of this should hurt, but we will not get everything done in one night."

Fluttershy nodded, and Luna continued, "First off, I need to know how you became one. Don't worry, this won't take long."

Luna put her hoof on Fluttershy head, and they were both transported to the night she was bitten. The events played out in front of them, almost like a movie. And through the events, Fluttershy shivered of fear, mostly from the dragon.

"I think that explains more than one thing." Said Luna, as everything slowed down, and time seemed to stop.

Fluttershy responded, "This was the first time I had ever seen the ground, animals, and... Dragons..."

Luna looked at Fluttershy, "Let's speed forward a month now." before she put her hoof on Fluttershy's head again, sending them to the sunset, later at flight camp.

In front of the two, they saw all the young ponies heading back to their sleeping quarters, except for a young Fluttershy, and a young Rainbow Dash.

"Come on Fluttershy! I know you can do it!" said young Rainbow, as they watched filly Fluttershy standing at the edge of a cloud.

Filly Fluttershy looked down, and toward Rainbow Dash. She then took a deep breath, and jumped. Miraculously, she did not fall, and instead flew forward, with speed at that.

"Good job! Now just gain some speed, then bend your wings back!" said Rainbow Dash.

Fluttershy started swooping downward, then with closed eyes, pulled off a big loop, before crash landing onto a nearby cloud.

Young Fluttershy covered her eyes, "D-Did I do it?"

Rainbow Dash flew over to her, and pulled her out of the cloud, "You did it! I knew you could pull it off with some morale support!"

Fluttershy opened her eyes, and gave a big smile, "I did it? I did it! Oh My Gosh thank you Dashie!"

Fluttershy gave Rainbow Dash a big hug, whom reluctantly accepted it, even though she was confused by Fluttershy's tail Wagging. She then broke it up after a few seconds "Alright, alright! I think it's about time we get some shut eye. Besides, your wagging your tail again."

Young Fluttershy looked back to her tail, stopped wagging, and replied, "Oh, you go on ahead, I have to do something first."

The rainbow maned filly shrugged, and flew off. While young Fluttershy looked around, before heading to the edge of the cloud and looking down.

"I wonder what they are up to down there, it's been awhile since I was there, maybe I could..." started Fluttershy before feeling her head, "Ow! Darn, headache, maybe I should just go back."

The young Fluttershy started to shiver a bit, and felt her head worryingly. She then decided to turn around and head back to where Rainbow Dash went.

Fluttershy spoke up softly to Luna, "I remember this, Rainbow Dash was always trying to get me to do better than I thought I could."

Luna looked at her, "She is a good friend to have, even if she seems somewhat arrogant."

Fluttershy nodded, and looked over to see the full moon rising.

"Don't worry, this is only a memory." said Luna preemptively.

Upon coming through the inactive courses, Fluttershy was suddenly approached by the two colts that had been giving her trouble most of the time since being there. She wanted to find a way around them, but the two blocked her path.

"Well well well, if it isn't Fluttercry!" Said the darker brown one in a mocking tone.

"Why are you out here? Breaking all the obstacles with your inability to fly?" added the other.

Fluttershy was shivering and sweating, "Uhh, N-No, Could I p-p-please g-go now?" she stuttered.

The two colts laughed, "What?! Lost the ability to talk right? Stuttershy!"

Fluttershy backed away slowly, "N-N-No! J-Just please let m-me go for the n-night, I think I-I-I have t-the flu."

The darker coated colt trotted up to her with a menacing smile "Not until you learn to speak correctly! I think I know what can help."

Suddenly, the two grabbed Fluttershy, and began dragging her towards the bathrooms. Fluttershy tried to get loose by struggling, but with little success.

"P-Please! d-d-don't do this!" cried Fluttershy.

The two colts laughed, as they brought her into the bathrooms, and threw her against the wall.

"What's the diagnosis?" said the lighter coated colt in a mocking tone.

"Inability to speak, likely from inbreeding! You know what this means?" replied the darker one.

Fluttershy covered her eyes and wimpered, as she shook much more, and her mane became more unkempt looking.

The lighter colt smiled devilishly, and grabbed a bar of soap from on of the sinks, "I say we try cleaning out her mouth!"
Fluttershy didn't bother opening her eyes to look, she knew what was coming, "P-P-Please!"

The one colt grabbed her forelegs and held them back, while the other forced her mouth open. Immediately after they both stared at her.

"A-Are those, canines?" asked the lighter coated colt.

Fluttershy opened her eyes, "W-What?"

The two colts took a couple of steps back, and the darker one whispered "Since when did she have yellow eyes?"

The lighter one replied "Or such sharp teeth, and a disturbingly scary look."

The Young Fluttershy sat there against the wall, and felt her head again, while her wings began to grow out slowly, and her mane began to change color.

"What is happening?!" asked the Darker coated colt.

"I-I-I.... Arrrg! I d-don't know!" stuttered Fluttershy.

Fluttershy shook more, and her mane began changing color, as she gave a deafening stare at the two colts. She then stuttered out, "J-Just, l-l-leave, me, ALONE!"

The two colts stood there in shock, as Fluttershy turned from a defenseless young filly, to a large, threatening beast. It was right about then two teacher pegasi burst in.

"Who is here- WHAT THE?!" shouted one.

Pretty immediately, the two colts passed out from fright, and Flutter'wolf' stood up slowly.

"Call animals control! I have no idea what that is but it's bad!" yelled the other Pegasus, as they grabbed the two colts and flew for their lives.

Fluttershy burst out of the bathrooms, and howled across the campus, as security showed up around her.

Rainbow Dash flew out of her dorm, wondering where Fluttershy was, when she suddenly heard the loud howl.

"What is that?!" said the young Dash as she, well, dashed to the noise.

When she got there, she was met by a security pegasi sent flying past her. Suddenly, another one flew into the sky unconscious, and Rainbow went around the corner to see a large monster flying at other security guards.

"Don't worry, I got this!" said Rainbow, as she flew up to the monster.

Multiple animal control Pegasi watched in confusion as Rainbow Dash flew up and Shouted "HEY! Over here!"

Fluttershy, being the monster, turned around, and flew right at her.

"WOA WOA WOA!" yelled Rainbow Dash as she struggled to avoid the flying wolf chasing after her.

Flutter'wolf' pursued Rainbow Dash nearly matching her speeds and skill. Eventually Rainbow led it into the training grounds, and pulled off a barrel roll, avoiding the monster. It then charged back at her, and took a dart to the neck.

"Good shot," said one animal control pegasi to another holding a blow gun.

The monster glared to them, then Rainbow, and slowly lowered down, and fell unconscious too the ground below the clouds.

"So that's what happened..." said Fluttershy quietly, "The next thing I remember after that was waking up in a large cage, in the Cloudsdale animal control building. Although most of the others there were stray birds."

Luna looked back to Fluttershy as the memory faded away, and the temple reappeared around them.

"Well Fluttershy, you will be waking up pretty soon here." said Luna, "Expect me back next time you fall asleep."

Fluttershy looked back to Luna, "Wait! What should I do about the ones you mentioned earlier?"

"Keep an open eye and be cautious, if something happens, I will be there shortly." replied Luna

Fluttershy tried to think of something else to say, but suddenly, she felt a nudging on her shoulder. She then woke up to Angel nudging her on the shoulder, likely wanting food.

I understand this one is short, but don't worry, next time, we will have more of a look at the villain person spy thing.

The Lycan Curse

Chapter 6: A new Peddler.

Twilight Sparkle shut the last book she had read, of which also gave less information than she already knew. She then looked at the unread pile, seeing only 3 left.

"All right, what is next." she said picking the three up with her magic.

One's title read How to Kill Vampires and Marewolves, the next was The Tales of the Lycan Hunter, and the third read Lycan.

Twilight had little confidence in these last ones, but with no other options, she decided that The Tales of a Lycan Hunter was too fiction, Lycan was too blunt, and How to Kill Vampires and Marewolves was involving something she did not want to do, yet it may hold more information.

She lifted the latter mentioned towards herself, and opened into the cover. By Omnitreza, it read on the inside cover. Twilight did not recognize that name, perhaps it was a pen name.

After flipping to the contents, she read through, and decided to go to the part marked "History of Lycanthropes". In doing so, she was met with this.

Lycanthropes, whether or not you want to believe it, have been around in Equestria since pre Discordian times. Back then, there was not much recorded information, but ancient art and scrolls hint towards it, but give no information otherwise. The theory behind this is knowledge of lycanthropy was spread by word of mouth back then.

Back then, though it is uncertain, an estimated 10% of the population, give or take, were imbued with this curse. In fact, they often had their own small clans, as in some places like early Fillydelphia, lycans were hunted like witches.

Fast forward to post Discordian times, when Equestria was uniting, the young Princesses formed a less brutal plan, as found in a single document. They decided rather than brutally kill off ponies with the lycan curse, they would keep them on "reserves", to avoid alarm in the population that a lycan might start eating ponies.

This strategy was part of the plan to form Equestria into a more harmonic place. Ponies could visit these reservations, and make business deals with them and such. But every full moon Luna's Guard sealed off the reservations. This process worked, until after the fabled "Nightmare Moon" incident.

After Celestia had locked her sister in the moon, Luna's Guard dissipated, and the Royal Guard took authority of the reservations. Though, there are no more recordings of them after this, suggesting perhaps either lycans slowly died out from a plague of sorts, or Celestia felt the lycans needed to be secluded more from society to avoid panic.

Due to the lack of information present, one is only left to theorize what may have happened to the lycanthrope population. Perhaps they still reside in reservations at the ends of Equestria, or they died out from a plague. Though these are only theories, one should be capable of knowing how to deal with a lycan if the population ever returns. Even though the authorities in Canterlot say staying away from dangerous places like the Everfree and the dragon plains will keep one safe, all should still know how to protect themselves if need be.

The page ended there, and Twilight thought about the text she just read. It was rather short, but it sounded more realistic, not too mention the writer talks about a few documents that contained a little information. Although the author still seemed odd.

"OmniTreza..." said Twilight, "That name sounds... odd to say the least. Does it derive from omnipotent? Perhaps he has other books."

Twilight shrugged, and flipped to the next page, entitled "Oddities and Weaknesses".

She then bit her lip. It did not feel right to read up on a way to possibly hurt or even kill her friend. Yet still, she really wanted to know the information in this part. Twilight looked around the dark room, it was around 11:00 pm, and everything was still quiet. So Twilight looked back to the page and began reading.

Lycanthropes, otherwise known as "marewolves" by those who dislike Jargon, are not invincible. If you were to stab a pony with the curse, they would die. If you were to poison them, they would die. If you were to starve them, they would die....

Twilight looked back from the book in slight shock, it sounded rather violent. It also suggested that perhaps the author tested on somepony... Twilight shook her head, dismissing the idea that cruel tortures like that ever happened, and continued on.

Then again, when they are in wolf form, they are a lot more durable. Along with that, their strength increases about 10 times, give or take. So you would need an easy way to either neutralise or scare them off. Here is a list of substances and items that have odd effects on them.

First off, I found that Lycans, no matter if they are in pony or wolf form, greatly despise the presence of Jewelweed. It seems to give off a pheromone that irritates them, and often enough they will run away, or at least try to. But, if one were to be mauling you, I doubt this would help too much.

The next item on our list is Cannabis. A lycan will drop whatever they are doing and stuff their faces in this substance until there is none left. Something about it makes lycans, either in pony or wolf form, delve into primal instincts to get to it. But, whatever you do, do NOT try to get in their way when they have had a taste of it, you will end up dead.

Twilight stopped reading their, "Cannabis?! THAT is what caused Fluttershy to go crazy? Remind me never to invite her to one of those clubs..."

Third, and likely most important on this list, is silver. Only in wolf form will this work, but it burns a lycans flesh. This fact makes it the most useful metal to fight them with, as a Silver sword would neutralise one faster than a normal sword.

Fourth, is the "Luna's Glory" flower. This flower absorbs moonlight in a odd fashion, and creates a chemical which actually keeps lycan cursed ponies from changing. It is most effective BEFORE the full moon, but will still work when they are in wolf form. That is, if you can make them ingest it.

"So that was the flower Fluttershy mentioned..." said Twilight quietly to herself.

Fifth, is the Yellow Morel Mushroom. It is pretty much the opposite to the Luna's Glory flower, and will cause a lycan to change on the spot. Interestingly enough, if it touches their hide, that spot will change slightly, but no other spot. But if it is ingested or injected into the bloodstream, they will turn for a few hours.

Twilight thought about that, "Morel... I think that is a fungi rich ponies eat."

Sixth, and last on this list, is actually a melody...

"huh?"

If a melody or song that a lycan is familiar with is sung to them while they are in wolf form, they will often seem to regain some of their own conscious. Such as for me, the Eight Melodies work just fine.

Twilight stopped reading here to think. One, the author broke the rules and used the word 'me' in this last sentence. But, that also suggest that the one who wrote this is also a marewolf...

Twilight shook her head again, and received a hoot from Owlowicsious, suggesting for her to go to bed.

"Well, I guess that is enough for tonight..." She said closing the book.

Fluttershy stepped back inside from feeding the outdoor animals, and set down some empty food cans in the corner. She readily trotted into her living area and sat down for a break. She laid down on her back and sighed. Most of the days worries were still getting to her, mostly about what Luna had said about the teachings she would get.

"I don't know Angel, that seems too dangerous. I mean, what if I can't control it, and I hurt the princess!"

Angel looked at Fluttershy with a "Are you seriously going on about this again" look.

"I know, I probably should not worry too much..." said Fluttershy as she sat up again.

With a look out the window, she realized something, Pinkie Pie was about to knock on her door. Then, right on cue, she did.

Fluttershy quickly trotted up to the door, and greeted Pinkie "Oh, hi Pinkie, how are you?"

Pinkie gasped "This is not about how I'm feeling, this is about how you're feeling!"

Fluttershy took a step back, "Uh, what?"

Pinkie hopped into Fluttershy's house, and continued "I know you have been really down lately, so I wanted to give you a get well card! But then I realized I could give you a get well seminar!"

Fluttershy took a second to think through the rambling, "You want to, uh, what?"

Pinkie jumped over to Fluttershy and showed her the window, "What do you see?"

Fluttershy stared at the window blankly, "U-Uh, glass?"

Pinkie quickly responded "Not that! what do you see deep down?"

"Um, molecules...?"

Pinkie facehoofed, "No, I mean how does this make you feel?"

Fluttershy thought for a second, "Oh! you mean what do I think of first, right?"

"Yes!"

Fluttershy began to think, but her thought was interrupted by Pinkie, "You know what! This isn't working."

Fluttershy gave a sigh a relief, before Pinkie said "How about we go see the show in town instead!"

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow "What show?"

Pinkie gasped loudly, again, "You haven't heard! Some pony from Canterlot is here giving a seminar or something on the Everfree Forest!"

"Oh, I see, I guess I don't have anything to d-" started Fluttershy.

"GREAT! let's go!"

Fluttershy couldn't say anything else before Pinkie Pie shoved her out the door and nearly dragged her toward town.

--------------10 minutes later-----------------

Pinkie and Fluttershy came to a crowd at the hedge maze in Ponyville, which was rented out often for such seminars and musical performers. Fluttershy recognized being here before when Iron Will was in town.

"Uh, Pinkie..." said Fluttershy quietly.

"What?" asked Pinkie as she led Fluttershy further into the crowd.

"I-I didn't expect there to be so many ponies here..."

Pinkie giggled, "Don't worry Fluttershy, Auntie Pinkie is her so you won't get lost!"

Fluttershy began breathing heavily from the crowd, "C-Can we just go? We don't need to be up front..."

Pinkie looked at Fluttershy, "Come on! we’re already in the middle we might as well push to the front!"

"Isn't that rude..."

Pinkie cocked her head, "Oh, I never thought about that!"

"So then, why don't we just hang out at the back, where no pony will notice us..."

Pinkie looked at Fluttershy and sighed, "Fine, but I was hoping for a better view."

From the back Pinkie watched the crowd grow with excitement, while Fluttershy just watched up front, a little more comfortable now the she wasn't surrounded by ponies.

Suddenly, multiple royal guards went onto the stage, and the sound system gave its checks.

"Oh! it's starting!" said Pinkie as she smiled big.

"Okay, I guess..." said Fluttershy, not sure what to think of the royal guards being there.

Suddenly, some pony on stage spoke through the microphone "Alright ladies and gentlecolts, it is good to see such a big crowd here today for awareness, so why don't we introduce the guest of the hour! He is a professor and lawmaker at Canterlot, and he studies creatures, such as those from the Everfree. Here, is Professor Omnitreza!"

Fluttershy cocked her head, "Omnitreza? Is he from Saddle Arabia or something?"

Pinkie shrugged, and Fluttershy turned back to the stage. She could see a dark green earth pony with a black mane in front of the microphone now. He seemed sophisticated, with a suit and all. And his cutie-mark was an old lock.

The pony presumed to be Omnitreza spoke, "Hello everyo-pony..." he then mumbled something no pony could hear, "I am here to raise awareness of my studies on creatures such as cockatrices, manticores, changelings, dragons, and other creatures of which may reside in the Everfree."

Fluttershy became a little bit interested, she had always lived next to the Everfree, maybe this professor could give some more knowledge on the other creatures in it.

Omnitreza continued "I can only give a fraction of what I know on stage here due to time constraints, but much more can be found in my books, of which we are selling for 5 bits apiece at the entrance."

Pinkie hopped up, "Five bits!? that is a steal!"

Fluttershy shrugged, "I don't know, seems alright."

Omnitreza continued, "Now, first off, you all are not completely safe. Especially in this area, with you all living near the Everfree forest, there’s a chance, or certainty, that something from there will attack somepony. Even though we live in harmony with most of Nature, the creatures there are truly wild, and will take any pony for a meal. I am sure one day they will wander into civilization, if not already."

Multiple ponies in the crowd looked at each other, thinking about the parasprite incident.

Over the next half hour, Omnitreza went on about the possible dangers and disastrous events relating to the Everfree, and some common knowledge on different creatures. Through all of this, he somehow managed to keep ponies in the crowd interested, possibly because some of them were spending time trying to figure out what his jargon meant.

"And that concludes why you should hide instead of running from a Manticore..." concluded Omnitreza.

Fluttershy looked at Pinkie "I don't know, maybe if we show some more kindness to them, things will go smoother."

Omnitreza paused for a bit, and looked back to the crowd, "Now before we move on, there is one more creature that I want to talk about, although I don't know if many of you will take me seriously."

The crowd nodded for him to continue, and he said "Lycanthropes..."

The majority of the crowd mumbled in confusion, but Fluttershy stood there stone cold.

"D-D-Did he say... Lycan?" muttered Fluttershy.

Pinkie stood there blankly, "I think he did."

Omnitreza continued on his rant thing "I know when most of you think of lycans, you think of horror books or plays, but I am here to tell you they may be real. In fact, I would say that they ARE real, but I know many of you want to believe that they aren't. Lycans are dangerous, and Equestria formerly had a system of dealing with them back in my-I mean Celestia's day."
Fluttershy began wondering how much this professor actually knew about her condition.

"Ponies with the curse of the lycan aren't monsters at heart, but they are still too dangerous to stay in civilization. At any full moon, one could kill any pony. I for one am working with others in Canterlot to form a new system to find and keep these ponies with the curse safe from themselves."

The crowd was silent while Omnitreza paused, and he then said "Well, now let's move on to hearing from what all of you know."

Pinkie smiled at Fluttershy, "Maybe you should raise your hoof, you know a lot about the Everfree!"
Fluttershy backed slowly away, "I, uh, don't feel like it..."

"YOU! In the back! Yes you Pink Mane!" barked Omnitreza, startling Fluttershy.

Omnitreza cleared his throat, "Sorry, but I can tell that you know something from that look on your face."

Fluttershy stood there stone cold, as the ponies in the crowd stared at her, some wondering how Omnitreza could see her face from the stage .

"Now don't be shy, come up here and tell me."

Pinkie nudged Fluttershy, "It's alright, I will be right here!"

Fluttershy gulped, and trotted up to the stage. The ponies in the crowd moved for her, as she eventually came up to Omnitreza face to face.

From here, she could see he had some green in his mane, and his countenance was very judgmental.

"So." he started, "Where do you live?"

Fluttershy stood there silently, until she remembered she had to say something.

"I-I, uh, live at the edge of the Everfree" she mumbled.

"I am sorry, but you need to speak louder."

Fluttershy gulped, "I live next to the Everfree"

Omnitreza spoke up, "Ma’am, look at me, not the crowd, and speak louder."

Fluttershy looked at him, and something about his gaze calmed her slightly, "I live at the edge of the Everfree Forest."

Omnitreza raised an eyebrow, "So I assume you have seen some of the creatures within."

Fluttershy felt a bit more comfortable, "Um, yeah..."

"Like..."

"Um, a cockatrice... and then there was a hydra one time."

Omnitreza then asked "So do any of them scare you?"

Fluttershy quickly responded "I'm really afraid of Dragons..."

Suddenly, Omnitreza growled rather loudly, "Oh, uh, they growl like that?"

Fluttershy stood there for a second, "Um, yes, sometimes."

"Well, uh, would you mind getting off the stage. I will be meeting up with you later."

Fluttershy looked at him rather confused, "What for?"

"Certain, purposes..."

Chapter 7: Structure vs Harmony

The crowd dispersed, with a tone of confusion and curiosity in the conversation. Fluttershy quickly navigated her way out of the crowd as it dispersed, while Pinkie Pie chased after her.

"Fluttershy!" Pinkie said loudly as she came up beside Fluttershy, "Where are you going?"

Fluttershy continued trotting "Home, I guess."

"Don't you want to go anywhere else? what about that guy, didn't he say something about meeting up with you later?"

Fluttershy trotted a little faster, "I don't really know what he wants, but I get a odd, feeling, from him..."

Pinkie gave a look of confusion, and said "Well, are you sure you just want to go home?"

"Yes, I think I should just go home and stay around my animal friends."

"Fluttershy, you can't stay coddled up forever, besides..." Pinkie looked ahead for a second, and back to Fluttershy, "Um, Omnitardis or whatever his name is... is right there."

Fluttershy stopped instantly, and Omnitreza came up to her with an odd countenance, "Well, I was hoping to get this meeting done with quickly."

Fluttershy looked back at Pinkie, whom shrugged, "Umm, why do you want to meet with me? Did I do something wrong...?"

Omnietreza didn't change his look, "I can tell you dislike crowds, and I want to know more about what you know."

"About what?"

"Everything in that there forest."

Pinkie Pie came up, "Oh, Fluttershy knows a lot about animals! She even takes care of them for a living, sort of."

Omnitreza raised an eyebrow at Pinkie, and muttered something to himself, before saying, "Well, I guess that makes things all the more easier. So you’re the baker I have heard about?"

Pinkie smiled, "Am I really that famous?!"

Omnitreza responded "Well, I just have sources. On another note, I was also planning on talking with you too, I have a traveling booth for interviewing various locals wherever I go. But first I want to get some information from, Fluttershy is it?"

Fluttershy looked away, "Uh, yes."

"Alright, now we can head to your house or my trailer, either or." Said Omnitreza.

Fluttershy thought for a second, "I can make some tea at my place..."

"PERFECT! Your house it is!" Said Omnitreza as he went off down the road speedily, "Come on! Don't be shy now!"
Fluttershy looked to Pinkie, and they both shrugged.

"Hmm, nice place you have here, especially considering the animals." Said Omnitreza while he put his jacket on a stand, "So you have animal pens and all set up outside?"

Fluttershy trotted toward the kitchen, "Yea, I have some chickens, birds, bees, and anything you can find around here."

Omnitreza nodded, and went over to pet Angel, whom reacted with acts of aggression.

"Your rabbit here is rather, unpleasant."

Fluttershy looked over, "Oh, that's just Angel, he doesn't like it when someone takes attention from him."

"Oh, so you spoi-nevermind." said Omnitreza, apparently holding his toungue

Fluttershy trotted back into the kitchen and prepared some tea leaves while the water warmed. With a glimpse into the living room Omnitreza seemed to be doing just fine with the other animals. Though she still did not know about his name, something was odd about it.

A few minutes later Fluttershy came back into the main room with some tea, as her odd visitor continued looking around her cottage, checking around drawers and such. She kind of wanted to say something. It felt, invasive, but she did not want to be a jerk about it.

"Um..." she managed to say.

Omnitreza looked at her, and said "Well, tell me about it."

"What?"

"The forest, everything you have seen!"

"I don't know..."

Omnitreza gave an eerie grin, and said, "Now now, this is for the security of Equestria. I will let you in on a secret, but don't tell any pony."

Fluttershy looked at him, and nodded cautiously, as he continued "I am working on forming a new program, of which will have control of the contact between the population, and creatures of 'interest'."

Fluttershy wasn't sure what to think of that, "Doesn't the Princess run those sorts of things?"

"There is a lot more bureaucracy in Canterlot than meets the eye. I personally, am worried that relying on harmony to keep things straight will soon fail, and we will need a fall back." He said, as he looked out the window, "Just look, Celestia's old foes continue to rise. Why? Because she is becoming too weak to run the advancements of Equestria. We need the system I have proposed to take over if, or more likely when, the princess can no longer run Equestria."

Fluttershy sat there thinking about this. Her whole life she had believed in harmony, and saw that in the gravest of disaster, that it pulled through. Yet, Omnitreza's words were convincing, but she still didn't know all about this plan of his.

"Well, I guess you have some points..."

"Yes, I do. Trust me, Equestria is not going to stay sovereign like it is now, if we do not enact a new system." Omnitreza then turned around, "Besides, a part of Equestria's history show that it had needed to change before... Do you know about the lycan clans?"

Fluttershy stopped breathing for a second as her heart skipped a beat, "Lycan... clans?"

Omnitreza laughed "It is a part of history our Princess tries to keep covered up. In fact, it shows my proposal works."

Fluttershy sat there trying to think of something, but she could only manage "U-Uh, what were they...?"

"The clans, in early times, were groups of ponies who gathered the lycan curse. Before, they stayed together to fight off the civilization that hunted them down, and often ended up in violent clashes. It was not until the Princess finally came into terms with the fact that they had to be kept separate from normal civilization, under structured rule. They were all taken, some quietly to avoid their friends knowing what they were, some fighting it. In the end, they all accepted their fate and went to these secluded colonies, under the rule of an intelligent visionary, who kept them from hurting the rest of Equestria or each other."

Fluttershy was not sure whether or not to believe this, but it made some sense. Although, she did not feel right believing the Princess couldn't handle a feud with ways they had dealt with other problems, harmony.

Omnitreza walked toward Fluttershy slowly, "Yet, it was not perfect, it required a lot of trial and error, and many years of improvements. Some lycans would escape feeling that their rights were violated, and their harmony was not good enough. But eventually, we got it into their heads that they all could live in their utopia, while Equestria could live like a neighboring utopia. Thus proving that structures and heavy rules CAN keep harmony, while leaving ponies to fend for themselves will always run in a circle of hate and love."

Fluttershy looked away as Omnitreza as he stared at her intensely for the next few moments. Eventually he spoke up, "I will let that sink in and leave you be. But be warned, my presence here is not only that of speaking to crowds, but perhaps to further enforce the structures."

Fluttershy looked back to him as he headed for the door, and without any words stopping him, he left.

In the next moments, Fluttershy felt sick to the stomach. Over thinking challenges to her normal way of thinking was getting to her, and she had an intense worry that he might have been looking for the Lycan residing in her home...

Chapter 8: The Witch hunt begins.

Spike cleaned up Twilight's study room, as downstair he heard her leave for Fluttershy's. Just before she told him to sort the books she had read back into the proper places, and explained she was going to explain to Fluttershy all that she had found.

Spike finished some quick sweeping, and readily went for the pile of books. With a look at the mess, he began pushing it into orderly piles. As he picked two books up, he noticed a small, old looking scrap of paper in the corner of the desk.

"What's this?" he asked out load, to the paper... kind of creepy...

He picked it up, and turned it to see the line "Trezona Omnipotent Claus - REDACTED - Omnitreza, 451"

Spike quickly noticed it was folded up, so with some unfolding, he was presented with a whole page of odd information, in a diary format.

Entry number 451, Trezona Omnipotent Claus... Now Omnitreza.

I have recently resigned the name my natural parents have given me. I see fit that due to the fact that my natural name no longer has meaning, as I am no longer natural and have NOT been for 324 years now. The only part I shall keep is the Omnipotent, as I will one day be all powerful...

But still, I can see very well that I have changed so much since I was given the gift from him, I used to seek for more information, and justice for Equestria. But, I am being crushed under the weight of boredom, watching events unravel without me being capable of effecting any of them. From now on, it will be my duty to be the most influential in this land.

I also find, that due to my journal now consisting of 7 books, the number I seam to like, all entries multiple pages long, and I have reached the number of entries of which Fahrenheit burns paper, I shall end it here, and burn the rest of the paper.

But, do to nostalgic reasons, this journal series will remain in tact, even though I know very well it will be my downfall when the day comes. Yet, I plan on having my fun, and eventually ending it. I would be crushed under the weight of boredom if I persisted perfectly for eternity, so I am purposely going to hope that I do NOT persist forever.

And as a start to ending my eternity, I shall now end this. But know first, before I end my own eternity, I will have Equestria know me for decades to come, in due time.

Spike lowered the paper with a blank expression, turned around, dropped the books, and ran yelling "TWIIIIIIIILIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Then, after 8 minutes or so of running in the WRONG direction, Spike stopped, and turned himself around, and ran toward Fluttershy's house.

It was not till 5 more minutes that he bumped right into Twilight, and fell back onto the ground.

"Twilight! Thank goodness! I found something very important on the author of that book!"

Twilight raised an eyebrow, and replied "Really? good job Spat, I mean Sp....SPIKE! yes, Spike."

In his excited state, Spike ignored that, and continued "Look here, I think it is a old dairy entry of sorts. Maybe we can trace this guy down and see if the information on marewolves he has is legit."

Twilight gasped, and replied "Your rese-I mean, *cough*, Of course, we have been researching marewolves... why were we doing that again?"

Spike looked at Twilight with a countenance suggestion she was being an idiot, "Because your pegasus friend is a Lycan, remember!"

Twilight gasped again, and hopped on her hooves, muttering something in excitement. Spike stood there staring at her in confusion, and asked "Uh, Twilight..."

Then, and idea hit him, "Wait... your not a... AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"

With that scream, Spike ran the opposite direction, and 'Twilight' stopped jumping, and chased after.

"Were are you going!? We haven't even explained the details to me yet!" She yelled as Spike turned a corner, and hid in a alley... Leave it to you Spike to pull of a cliché like that.

He looked slightly to see 'Twilight' run past, and sighed as he looked at the paper in his claws. Then, out of nowhere, he saw a royal guard member.

"A royal guard! Thank goodness! I need your help, my friend who turned out to be not my friend is out to get... me... Wait, there isn't a royal guard in Ponyville... oh no -_-..."

And with that, Spike was snatched up in a bag, how classy.

'Twilight' came back into the alley, and said "Good job, let's take him back to Omni, we will so get a reward for this information!"

'Twilight' started jumping, as changeling wings appeared on her back.

"Hey!" said the 'guard', "Don't you realise we will now have to wipe this ones recent memory, and try to get him back into the population unharmed!"

"Clam your tits, it won't be much in return for proof that a Lycan is here in town."

The royal guard gave a grin, as his body burned away, and formed into that of a changeling. The two Changelings then disappeared into the alley with the bag of Spike.

-------------------Fluttershy's house, afternoon-----------------

Twilight set her back on the rack, and pulled out the book she planned on telling Fluttershy about.

"I think this book has some valid information on your condition." Said Twilight as she raised the book with magic.

Fluttershy looked at the book curiously, and responded "That's good... I guess."

Twilight opened the book, and explained, "Well, it did point out what caused you to go lunatic, turns out it was cannabis."

Fluttershy cocked her head, "What is that?"

Twilight laughed, "Oh, it's just a plant. But some ponies like to, uh, 'consume' it, for certain qualities."

"Okay then." responded Fluttershy.

Twilight continued, "Now, one thing I am not sure about is the author, I never heard of him, or possibly her, I don't know really. But anyway, the name written is Omnitreza, I think it may be a pen name."

Fluttershy immediately gasped, "Omnitreza?! I just met with him!"

"Really?" asked Twilight in surprise.

"Yes, Pinkie and I saw him giving a, seminar, of sorts, and he came here with me."

Twilight got a worried look on your face, "Fluttershy, you didn't tell him..."

Fluttershy cut her off, "Oh no! But, he said some, odd things."

Twilight cocked her head, "like what?"

Fluttershy sat down, and began to explain everything she could remember Omnitreza said.

Spike awoke in the bag he was in, and went to feel his head. This first thought that came to his mind was "I wonder what ants taste like.", then the next thought was "CRAP! I have to get out of here!"

He immediately began clawing at the sides of the bag in no orderly fashion, when suddenly he heard hoof steps coming.

"So there is a Lycan in Ponyville for sure." Said a male voice.

"Yep, that Dragon spilled some beans, before he realized I wasn't his boss." Replied a raspy voice.

"Were is it now then?"

"In that bag, right there."

Spike balled up, as he heard hoof steps get closer to him. Then he heard breathing over him, as something went to untie the top. As the bag opened, Spike was met with a wooden room, that looked like a log cabin, light only by a few oil lamps. Next he noticed the dark green earth pony standing above him with a look as if he was staring into his soul.

"Uuuuuhhh... Hi?" he said while giving a cheesy smile.

"I don't suppose you plan on telling me more than I already know." Replied the pony, as he set a hat on a table.

Spike looked around, seeing a changeling standing at the other side of the room, "Umm, What would I have to say? I never have anything to say! It isn't like I know things!!!"

"Calm your tits!" said the Changeling, with a angry glare at him.

"Shut up Nestor! I will deal with this one." said the green pony with an angry tone.

The changeling pouted, and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind itself.

The green pony chuckled slightly, "Kids these days... Anyway! I am Omnitreza, and I actually work in Canterlot."

Spike raised an eyebrow, he recognized that name from the paper he had been carrying. With that, he felt around and noticed it was still in the bag with him.

Spike replied, "Is that supposed to mean anything? I mean, you had CHANGELINGS kidnap me, and now your talking to me while I am tied into a bag..."

Omnitreza looked at spike with a small smile, "So, your the Princesses personal student's assistant eh?"

Spike glared, "Who's asking?"

"Me."

"Me who?"

"Omnitreza me."

"Nope, wrong!"

Omnitreza raised an eyebrow, "Your kind of silly, I for one know those tactics you are using, and I shall reply with a question... Riddle me this, Riddle me that, what is the answer, true or false, to 'This sentence is false'."

Spike continued galring, "Nothing, it's a paradox."

Omnitreza laughed, "And to see you only have lived a small portion of your life, and your retaining information like that, shows how great you could be in the future!"

Spike was not sure how to think of this, "What do you know about Dragons? No pony has ever did any major studies on them."

"I know more than you know, so much, much, more...."

Spike thought for a second, and replied, "Well I know stuff about you, Trezona Omnipotent Claus!"

Omnitreza stared blankly, then a smile grew, as he replied, "Why aren't you a little detective! I have been waiting years for someone to dramatically announce my real name at me!"

Spike was beginning to get annoyed at the fact he could not shake this guy, "Are you really, THAT old?"

Omnitreza grinned, "Why yes I am, and since I am enjoying this banter, and you won't be remember any of this anyway, Let me say that you have the cutest little canines!"

Spike went wide eyed, and replied "Da' heck?"

Omnitrea looked around, "Sorry, I am going mad, you see, my 451 birthday is coming up, and I am all excited about it. But first, I will give you a chance here to tell me who is the Lycan. You know, to make things less complicated."

Spike was having trouble following this, Omnitreza went from his birthday to lycans in 3 seconds flat.

"Your... mom?"

Omnitreza stared blankly... again... "Bro... no... just, no..."

"Sorry..."

Omnitreza looked to the door, as Spike could hear more movement coming. Omnitreza suddenly reach a hoof for Spikes head, and Spike in return bit it.

"OW! I am trying to knock you out and erase your memory!" said Omnitreza as he began to glare angrily.

Suddenly, Spike felt his body turn numb for no real reason, as he watched Omnitreza's eyes change to cat-like eyes. He then saw him raise his hoof, and with one touch to his head, he blacked out.

----------------------3 hours later-------------------

Twilight and Fluttershy walked back into Twilight's house. Over the course of the last story section, they had fought an army of Manitores, defeated Cthulhu, and saved Equestria seven times...

JUST KIDDING!

Anyway, they had actually talked over things ranging from Fluttershy's dreams with Luna, and this Omnitreza fella that seamed to think he was a top notch researcher.

"So are you all right if I write to Celestia about this?" asked Twilight.

"Oh yes, it is fine, I'm sure if Luna knows she knows." replied Fluttershy.

Twilight trotted further toward the stairs, and yelled up them "SPIKE! Get ready to take a letter!"

Ten seconds passed, and soon so did 20.

"Spike? Are you here?!" yelled Twilight.

Fluttershy looked around worried, "I hope he's alright."

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, and Twilight rushed to open it. Upon opening it, she was met with two royal guard members.

"Hello ma'am, is this yours?" said one, as he pushed forward Spike, whom wobbled around oddly, "Huh, what? Twilight, oh, heeeeeeey man, were have you been?"

Twilight stared at Spike as he nearly fell over, and asked the guards, "Were did you find him, and why is he so... odd...?"

One of the guards replied "We found him out by the hedge maze, and if I am correct it seams he got into something he shouldn't have."

Twilight replied, "Oh that isn't much like him."

Spike walked in, with redness visible in his eyes, "Hey! Fluttershy MAH BOY! How are you?"

The other Royal Guard looked in at Fluttershy, and said "We are also informing all the pegasi they need to show up at the town hall in one hour."

Twilight raised an eyebrow, and replied, "What for?"

The guard replied, "Somepony here has been identified as a ly-I mean, Changeling.

Twilight stared at the guard, and thought "Did he just... stutter? The Royal Guard never does that!"

The other royal guard picked up the line, "Any pegasi who do not show up will be brought by force. Good day now."

The royal guards shut the door and left, leaving Twilight there confused, with her high assistant and her werewolf friend.

Chapter 9: The Derps, the Loons, and the Royals.

Twilight finished wrapping Spike up in a blanket as he passed out almost immediately. The sun was beginning to set now and Fluttershy sat in the parlour downstairs humming quietly to herself. With a look at the clock Twilight went downstairs to discuss certain related matters with Fluttershy.

Fluttershy looked up, "So, how is he?"

"Fine, I will have to ask him what he got into in the morning." Responded Twilight.

Suddenly, somepony knocked on the door, and Twilight readily asked, "Who is it?"

On cue, Rainbow Dash came in the window at the other side of the library, and said, "Twilight! Why is the royal guard demanding I meet with them?! Is the Princess coming? Is it a secret Wonderbolts tryout?!"

Twilight stuffed a sock in Rainbows mouth with magic, and said "I don't know! You'll have to ask them when you arrive, but I am worried about this. I mean, since when does the royal guard hold discrete meetings with certian groups of ponies?" she paused for a second, "Only when they are interrogating suspects."

Fluttershy gasped as Rainbow spat out the sock, who uses socks in Equestria anyway?

"Suspects?! You mean like if somepony shoplifted!?!?!?" Asked Fluttershy in a rather terrified tone.

"Actually, they usually only do this in serious crimes, such as... murder..." said Twilight.

Rainbow Dash huffed as Fluttershy pretty much passed out, "I didn't kill anypony! Why would they think I am a suspect!?"

Twilight replied, "Calm down! If you didn't do anything, you will be fine! Besides, they also interview possible witnesses."

Fluttershy sat up, and slightly balled up, "I-I-I guess, I did witness something..."

Rainbow Dash and Twilight came closer, "What was it?!" asked Twilight.

Fluttershy continued "I-I-I s-saw,... I SAW A SQUIRREL STEAL NUTS FROM THE MARKET!"

Twilight and Rainbow Dash facehoof'd, as Twilight said, "Well, if that is all, then you shouldn't need to worry about anything."

Right when the clock struck the next hour, somepony knocked on the door. Twilight opened it to see a single royal guard member, whom spoke before Twilight could say anything.

"Pegasi report to the Town Hall immediately."

Rainbow sized up the Royal guard pegasus, and said "Why do we need to go there anyway?"

"You will be informed by officers there, now come along or we will take you by force." replied the guard.

Twilight shrugged to Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy trotted toward the door with her head down. The guard shut the door and escorted the two toward the Town Hall.

Once they had left, Twilight trotted back to her study while thinking. With a look at the book on her desk, a thought hit her, and she readily grabbed a few things and headed toward Town Hall, to be stopped by a certain Princess.

---------------Town Hall-------------

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy crammed into the town hall, filled with just about every other pegasi in town. Around the room were about a dozen royal guards, and everypony waited around in the middle. Fluttershy looked for a secluded spot to wait, while Rainbow Dash eyed everything, sizing up the guards.

Suddenly, two guards shut the doors, and put a lock on them. Not long after, all of the large windows were covered, and it looked as though they were about to get an explanation on what was going on.

It was then, that Fluttershy saw Omnitreza walk out infront of the crowd, of which confused and slightly frightened her.

"Hello Every... um... Pony! For most of you this won't take long and you can continue lives as usual." Started Omnitreza, "Yet, it seams somepony here has done, or more correctly is something we need to catch."

Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy, "Who is this guy?"

"He's, uh..." started Fluttershy

Omnitreza eyed the crowd, and continued "I will walk by each one of you, If I say good, you can leave. If I say stay, you stay her for further analysis."

Rainbow Dash spoke up, "Uh, just one question, who are you?"

Omnitreza frowned, "I am a worker for the Princesses under the mythical and dangerous creature control devision. On a side note your voice is... bleh."

Rainbow glared at him, as Omnitreza began to walk beside the crowd. He would stare at each pony for a few seconds, then excuse them. This continued until he got to Featherweight, as he said stay. Later, a few more pegasi had to stay, such as Derpy and one of Rainbow Dash's fellow cloud devision members.

He then came eye to eye with Rainbow Dash, and immediately said, "Stay..." in a rather strict tone, leaving Rainbow to just glare back.

Next he came eye to eye with Fluttershy, who said, "U-Uh, hi... you were at my house earlier..."

Omnitreza didn't change his expression, as he started closer at Fluttershy, and said "Yes...and..."

He then came really close to her eyes, and eventually said, "Stay here."

Fluttershy gulped, unsure of what she did wrong. Rainbow trotted next to her, and said "This guy is odd... I don't think we can trust him."

Fluttershy responded, "I wonder why he kept us here..."

In a few minutes, the Town Hall was much emptier, other than 16 pegasi left, and the royal guards surrounding the room. Omnitreza came back upfront and adressed the group.

"Alright, now that you all are still here, I will let you in on something. We need to test each one of you to check for anything unnatural."

A red pegasus raised an eyebrow, and asked "Like what?"

Omnitreza turned to a large chest being brought in, and replied "Things such as unusual anger, hair growth, hyperventilating, and acting like a canine."

Everypony in the group looked around confused, except for Rainbow and Fluttershy, both left stone cold in realization.

"Oh." is all Fluttershy managed.

"Fluttershy... do you think he meant...?"

Fluttershy nodded, and Rainbow continued, "Um, keep your cool, I will think of something."

Omnitreza opened the chest, revealing multiple needles filled with a greyish-green liquid. He then put gloves on his for-hooves, and readied the first one. Then he pointed to Featherweight, who trotted up slowly.

"This is going to sting a bit..." Said Omnitreza, as he immediately jabbed the needle into Featherweights arm, resulting in a shriek and jolt reaction from him.

Omnitreza set the needle down on a small table, and eyed Featherweight for a few moments, before saying "Alright, you can go, grab a cookie on the way out."

He continued this process on 7 more ponies, most of which taking it just fine, before coming up to Rainbow Dash.

"Your turn."

Rainbow Dash stared at the needle in his hoof, and said, "I am, uh, afriad of, needles."

Omnitreza raised an eyebrow, "Uggg, it is just one small sting, suck it up."

Rainbow backed away, as two royal guard members slowly came toward her. "But, isn't there a, less needly way?"

Omnitreza slapped his hoof to his face and said "HMMMMMMMM, Nope!"

Rainbow Dash looked at the guards around her, and as Omnitreza came up to her, she bolted away, and was immediatly tackled.

"HEY! Let me go!" she yelled trying to fight the guard with little succes.

The guards then held her on the ground, and extended her for-leg out. Omnitreza quickly stabbed the needle to her arm, and he instantly received an ear retching scream and a buck to the face.

With that, the guards held her down harder, as one prepared some sort of blow gun. Omnitreza quickly stood up, and trotted to Rainbow Dash.

"I Despise you... I infact hope that your the one..."

A few minutes passed, and nothing happened, so Omnitreza sighed, and said, "Screw you..." before he got another needle ready.

Fluttershy sat there with unflinching eyes staring at the needle, anticipating it stabbing her, afraid that the liquid might reveal her, condition. Omnitreza turned toward her, and trotted up slowly, each step hitting her heart as it raced in fear.

"Now, You seam a bit more polite, please hold out your for-leg, either one."

Fluttershy stuttered, "I-I, uh..."

"Come now, it will only sting for a moment... unless in a certain case... then it will sting, then hurt, then make you feel like your body is being reformed, then sting others."

Fluttershy backed away, "C-Can't I just..."

Suddenly, Rainbow yelled from the other side of the room, "Leave her alone you jerk!"

Omnitreza turned back, and yelled, "Give her another dose!"

One guard quickly pulled out another needle, and flew over to Rainbow Dash, who responded "Wait! no! I already- AAAAOOOOUUUUUUUUCCCHHH!"

Omnitreza turned back to Fluttershy, "Now come along, I don't have all day."

Fluttershy slowly put out her hoof, and breathed in deeply anticipating the worse. Omnitreza was about to inject her, when suddenly... DERPY ATTACK!

"YOU WILL NEVER CATCH ME ALIVE! TO THE BATMOBILE!" Yelled Derpy Hooves as she flew into a pillar, shook her head, and flew towards a window, breaking it and flying off.

"GET HER!" Yelled Omnitreza, as three guards quickly pursued the wild muffin consumer.

Fluttershy looked around, and saw Rainbow Dash signaling to go to the door. She nodded, and trotted with speed. She almost was to the door, only to be stopped by Omnitreza stepping infront of her.

"Were are you going? Were not done yet!" He said glaring.

Fluttershy stuttered out "I-I-I though t-that."

"You could get away? Come on, it's obvious now! I was going to be dramatic, but here, let me get you in character before I move on."

Fluttershy was suddenly held down by two Royal guards, as Omnitreza walked up with a menacing stare.

When suddenly, DISCORD ATTACK!

Omnitreza raised an eyebrow as he looked up to see the roof being lifted up by a large claw, revealing Discord, god of chaos. Omnitreza only sighed, as he was crushed under a large pie.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash stared in shock, as Discord flashed next to the Guards and said, "You changelings think your all that JUST because you can change shape! While I can do that an much more!"

He snapped his fingers, instantly turning all of the guards to changeling form, most of which flew away in panic.

Discord then looked to Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, and said "Celestia redirected me from my certian, duties, based on the guess something was going down here. More or less by guess, though I can get a hunch that something is going on MUCH more often than her. But anyway, her I am!"

Fluttershy smiled, "Well, I haven't seen you for a while since Celestia had you working on whatever it is you were doing... but, perhaps you should put the roof back on the building..."

Discord sighed, "Fine!" and with a flash the roof building was back in place.

Right about then, Twilight, Luna, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie rushed in the main door.

"Oh, your alright!" Said Twilight with a sigh, "Luna told us all that Omnitreza was behind this, and he was trying to reveal you!"

Applejack added "So we all came here ready for a rodeo, but it seams y'all got it handled."

Rainbow Dash chuckled, "It's fine, I was just about to pull off my new moves on these guys right before 'lord of chaos' here burst in."

Discord appeared next to Rainbow Dash, and said "When I came in it looked somewhat like you were subdued by some simple changelings, Or was it just that your to unskilled to bother doing anything about it?"

Rainbow huffed, as Pinkie Pie hopped over too Fluttershy, "We aren't going to let some old mean politician hurt our friends anyway!"

Luna added "I did say I was watching over you, I just needed to get some help before I just jumped in."

Rarity responded to luna "But did you honestly need that uncivilized jerk that hardly deserves to call himself a deity?"

Applejack looked at Rarity and replied, "Like you would deal with these guys that easily."

Discord added "Besides, I am the one with the power to turn all of your fancy clothes into fish whenever I want! I just don't out of respect for your friends, but that won't go too far."

When suddenly... OMNITREZA WITH A NEEDLE ATTACK!

Right then, Fluttershy felt a sharp pain in her right shoulder. As she looked to see a needle stabbed in, and Omnitreza grinning menacingly as he backed away. Fluttershy instantly shrieked, pulled it out, while backed away.

"Have fun with your mut!" he yelled, as a changeling picked him up and flew off at high speed.

Luna quickly yelled, "AFTER HIM!" in her cerimonial Canterlot voice.

Discord glared, and said, "I'm on it", as he flashed away.

Fluttershy still stood there staring in near shock at the needle on the ground, as she felt her heartbeat quickly increase, and her head starting to feel slightly dizzy.

Twilight came up to her, "Fluttershy, are you alright?"

Fluttershy looked at Twilight, as she felt felt her right for-leg shaking, and responded. "NO!"

Luna investigated Fluttershy, and said "Uh oh... Try to calm yourself, and take deep breaths..."

Fluttershy looked at Luna, and said, "Everypony, get away from me!"

Before anyone could respond, Fluttershy bolted out the door, and ran down the road towards her house and the Everfree forest.

Applejack quickly said, "She's not... Uh oh! Wait up girl! Ah'm coming!", as she sprinted after Fluttershy.

Rainbow Dash quickly said "This isn't good!" as she flew down the road, while Pinkie and Rarity followed down yelling.

Luna and Twilight quickly ran after as well, while Discord was still doing... something.

Fluttershy ran by all of the buildings barely thinking about what she was doing. Her only real goal was to get away from everyone else. As she went she could feel her body shake more, and her headache rapidly increasing.

She heard Rainbow Dash calling out, and didn't even look, she just continued running toward her house. As Fluttershy came to a turn toward her road, she slid by, and leapt forward down to her house, while feeling her wings beginning to change. That prompted her to run faster.

Then, Fluttershy saw her home, and ran up and slamed on the door. She rapidly pawed at it, and could not even remember how to open it. She then looked back, and saw her tail grown out and changing to a darker red colour.

"Fluttershy! Hang on!" yelled Rainbow Dash as she flew up behind Fluttershy.

Fluttershy looked back, showing Rainbow yellow eyes, with a definite look of fear.

"Get, a-a-away!" said Fluttershy as her body shivered more and her wings grew out longer.

Applejack ran up closely followed by everyone else, only to see Fluttershy bolt off into the forest at high.

Applejack breathed heavily, "Ah didn't know she could move that fast!"

Rarity wheezed, and said "Maybe we should, *wheeze*, just leave her be to get over this..."

Pinkie wasn't having any trouble breathing, "We can't just leave her alone! What if she hurts herself?!"

Luna landed on the ground, as Twilight came up behind.

"I will take care of this, wait here for Discord." said Luna, as she flew over into the Everfree Forest.

Fluttershy's mind raced, as did her heart. All she knew was she had to keep her head and keep going forward. She had literally no idea were she was, and got more and more confused as her body changed shape.

Eventually, she slammed her head into a tree, and flew onto the ground on her back.

"O-Ow!" was all she could manage, as she attempted to get her bearings, only getting dizzier and more confused.

She then looked at her arm, as the fur was growing out and getting darker, while the rest of her body grew out. She then managed a scream, then howl, before blacking out.

Chapter 10: Mistakes were made.

"Discord! I'm howlin' at the moon! and sleeping in the middle of a summer afternoon!"

Rarity stared across the Everfree forest as she waited for something to happen. All of this stuff was still new to her in one sense.

"Twilight," started Rarity, "How big, is the Everfree forest? I mean, is it likely Princess Luna can just find her?"

Twilight thought for a second, "I don't know, but I'm sure she knows what she's doing."

"It's probably like trying to find a needle in a haystack of scary critters..." added Applejack.

Rainbow Dash huffed, "She will need some help!"

Twilight responded, "She told us to wait here Rainbow."

Pinkie added, "Yea, I'm sure she's fine Dashie, I mean, she IS a princess."

Rainbow Dash flew slowly toward the forest eying it, "I can just fly over and find Fluttershy lickity split, I can't let her hurt anypony!"

Rarity replied "I know your worried, but we need to stay her, Princess Luna said so!"

Rainbow Dash turned to Rarity, "And what if she can't handle it! Who's going to help her in there?! I know very well Fluttershy would not be able to live knowing she hurt, or even killed another pony... Somepony else needs to back her up!"

Twilight quickly objected, "Wait, Rainbow!..." before Rainbow Dash flew into the forest at high speeds.

"Dang it Rainbow Dash, should we follow her?" asked Applejack.

Twilight sighed, "We have to wait for Discord or Luna to come back, besides, Rainbow Dash can handle herself..."

Luna looked all around for Fluttershy from above the trees. The night felt eery, as the waxing moon gave a small light. She knew very well by know Fluttershy would have changed, what mattered was making sure she didn't go off and hurt somepony. So, Luna decided to resort to the classic cerimonial wolf call...

"Here doggy doggy doggy!" Said Luna out to the forest as she landed, "Wait, no, that actually was proven not to work."

Luna looked around the area, seeing nothing but darkness, trees, dirt, and air, beautiful air. She began thinking of how she could call out a Marewolf, while behind her she failed to notice a pair of large yellow eyes appear.

"Perhaps I need a chew toy... Or a grass filled sock, dogs like socks, ponies like grass..."

Slowly, the big, hairy, and generally threatening looking Fluttershy stalked toward Luna. In a sense, if one were watching on a TV screen, this is were the 'Jaws' music would start playing.

Luna looked at a tree, "Maybe if I tied a chicken to that tree, wolfs like chickens, and Fluttershy I heard likes the idea of being a tree."

Luna then turned around, "Maybe there's... a... trail....", she started, as she was now staring Flutter'wolf' face to face. She stared as Fluttershy now had large canines, soul staring yellow eyes, and a much darker fur complexion.

Luna gauked at Flutter'wolf's appearance, while Flutter'wolf' stared at her about ready to pounce.

Then, Luna stuttered out, "Y-Your... so... Your just so furry!"

She then flew above Flutter'wolf', and began to feel her coat, receiving an bark and snarl. Luna without a care in the world rubbed behind Flutter'wolf's ear.

"Hush now, quiet now..." started Luna, "It's time to lay your sleepy head."

Flutter'wolf' stared at Luna curiously, realeasing her snarl and looking a tad more docile.

Luna continued, as she began to scratch behind Flutter'pup's ear, "I said hush now, quiet now, it's time to go to bed."

Flutter'pup' yawned, as Luna continued, "Driftin of to sleep, Leaving an exciting day behind you. Drifting of to sleep, let the joy of dream land find you."

Flutter'pup' began to slouch over, and was definitely more docile now. So Luna stopped singing and said "Everything's fine now."

Luna looked around, and used her magic to pull a branch off a tree, "You want the stick?"

Flutter'pup' stared at it intensely, as Luna launched it in the direction of town. Flutter'pup then immediately flew after it and caught it in her mouth, before landing in front of Luna.

Luna smiled, this reminded her of when she had a real pet wolf back in the day. So she flung the stick in another direction, and watched as Flutter'pup' went and caught it. It was rather impressive how fast she could run and fly.

Flutter'pup' dropped the stick infront of Luna again, who responded "Good girl Fluttershy!" whilst petting her mane, "I guess you can train a Marewolf, and Tia said I couldn't do it."

Luna kept reminiscing to herself, while she failed to notice Flutter'pup' becoming distracted and chasing a bird.

"Wait, come back!" yelled Luna.

Ignoring Luna, Flutter'pup' kept after the bird by hoof, and it was about then Rainbow Dash flew by suddenly. Flutter'pup' stopped, stared after Rainbow Dash intensely, and turned after her instead.

Rainbow Dash kept flying ignorant of the fact that a lycan was chasing after her. She flew by many more trees, as Flutter'wolf' took to the air after her. Then Rainbow stopped and yelled, "Fluttershy! Princess Luna!"

Luna burst through some trees and saw Rainbow Dash, "LOOK OUT!"

Rainbow quickly turned to Luna, right before being tackled by Flutter'wolf'.

"AAAH! STOP!" Yelled Rainbow Dash, as she slammed on the ground.

Flutter'wolf' received a kick in the face from Rainbow Dash, and in response attempted to bit her throat. Luna came toward them as fast as she could, as Rainbow Dash put her hoofs above her face before having one bitten.

"BAD FLUTTERSHY!" Scorned Luna as she flew up to Flutter'pup', "Leave her alone, NOW!"

Flutter'wolf' backed away, and Luna landed next to Rainbow Dash. With quick examination it looked as though her left hoof was broken from the bite, and a slight bit of blood came from her head from the impact to the ground.

"You need to control yourself Fluttershy!" Scorned Luna, before she turned to Rainbow Dash, "You will be all right, I'll take you home."

Rainbow Dash held her hoof and felt a little light headed, "Princess, I just wanted to..."

"It's fine." replied Luna, "Everything will be fine."

Luna Picked up Rainbow Dash, and turned toward Flutter'wolf'.

"Come along."

Flutter'wolf' bowed her head down as if she knew she was in trouble, and followed slowly. Rainbow Dash passed out, so Luna had to carry her the rest of the way back to town while keeping an eye on Fluttershy. Eventually, they came through to were Fluttershy's cottage was.

Pinkie Pie saw them first, "Princess Luna!"

Flutter'pup' growled at Pinkie and the others, and Twilight looked at Rainbow Dash before running up.

"Oh no! Did Fluttershy do this?!" asked Twilight as Luna set down Rainbow Dash.

Luna looked back to Flutter'wolf', whom was still keeping her distance from the others, "I am afraid so."

Applejack came up and said "Will she be alright?"

Luna replied "Yes, but, as that cliche'd quote says, 'not unchanged'."

"Oh" Replied Applejack.

Rarity looked at Flutter'pup', "What are we going to do with her?"

Luna replied, "Oh, she's mostly fine now, Rainbow Dash just startled her. But for safety we should keep her inside."

Pinkie Pie looked up at Flutter'pup', "Wooaaaa..." before hopping over to her.

Flutter'pup' growled, before Pinkie rubbed behind her ear, "Oh your just a big puppy!"

"Pinkie! Careful!" yelled Twilight.

Pinkie responded, "It's fine Twilight, see, she's wagging!"

Twilight watched Fluttershy closely, and indeed she was wagging.

"Well, alright. Pinkie, you, Rarity, and Luna keep Fluttershy in the house. Applejack and I will take Rainbow Dash to the hospital."

Rarity replied quickly, "Couldn't I just go with you?"

"I figured since your used to Opal, you could handle Fluttershy fine incase Pinkie and Luna have their hands full for the night." answered Twilight.

Rarity sighed, "I guess your right."

Rainbow Dash moaned as Applejack lifted her up. Then she and Twilight went off to the Hospital.

----------------------5 hours later---------------------

Pinkie and Fluttershy were both passed out, as it was about 4:50 am now. Luna sat over Fluttershy who had turned her blankets into a mess of a sleeping mat.

Rarity yawned, and looked at Fluttershy again.

"I still just can't get used to it..." she said, "How is this werewolf stuff possible? Hehe, now I bet Rainbow Dash is one too... All of my friends are becoming canines! HAH!"

Luna looked at Rarity, "This used to be more common, and yes, Rainbow Dash now has the curse, there is nothing we can do."

Rarity laughed a bit oddly, "Of course, then I guess that makes Applejack and Twilight vampires now! And Spike a dragon, oh wait..."

"Now now, they are actually very little changed, and are the same ponies you know."

Rarity laid back and thought for a bit, and said "I know, I am just having trouble wrapping my head around this... That was immature of me."

It was then Discord appeared in the room, "Hello Princess, how's the pup?"

Luna replied "She's fine, just been howlin' at the moon, and will likely be sleeping till the middle of this summer afternoon."

Discord laughed quietly, "Nice one."

Luna then asked, "So, what happened to him?"

"Who?" responded Discord.

"Omnitreza."

"Oh, him... uh, he's gone."

Luna was puzzled bye this, "What?! How?!"

Discord looked around, then said, "Wait, I think Fluttershy is changing back."

"Discord..." said Luna.

"No, I'm serious."

Luna looked at Fluttershy, and sure enough, she was already changed back to normal.

"How about that." said Luna, "Now Discord, what happened?"

Discord sighed, "Look, I let him get away..."

Rarity gasped, "You did what?!"

Discord continued, "I did not want to, but he more or less blackmailed me! We can continue talking about this back at Canterlot were there aren't others."

And with that, Discord vanished.
-------------------In the Hospital-----------------------

Rainbow Dash was all patched up, with a large bandaging around her left hoof, and some on her head. Applejack had left some time ago to take care of stuff at home, and Twilight waited in the room.

Rainbow Dash moaned a bit, and then turned, and moaned a bit more. Twilight decided to trot up beside her.

"Rainbow Dash? Are you alright?" she asked, as Rainbow turned over again.

Suddenly, Rainbow Dash shot up, "What happened!? Were's Fluttershy?!"

Twilight calmed her, "She's fine, but how do you feel?"

"Oh, Twilight..." said Rainbow Dash, "Uh, My hoof is numb..."

Twilight sighed, "Yea, Fluttershy bit you."

Rainbow Dash chuckled, "I was worried... wait..."

Rainbow stared at her hoof for a second, and looked at Twilight with a wave a realisation.

"Does this mean, i'm a Marewolf...?"

Twilight nodded, and in response Rainbow sat back, "Hmm...".

Rainbow then asked, "Twilight, does being a lycan increase your speed?"

Twilight shrugged, and Rainbow said, "I guess we'll find out."

Twilight chuckled, "I'm glad your handling this with a better outloo-"

She was suddenly cut off by a scream from Rainbow Dash, "I'M A FRIGGIN WOLF!"

Chapter 11: We all feel bad sometimes.

You won't be able to ignore me darling, I have plans for you. spoke a oddly familiar voice.

Fluttershy looked around in the darkness and confusion, "Who, what are you?"

I'm that voice in your head. Well, actually only in your head for the time being. But I am telling you, when the time comes, do NOT try to fight it. I require you to be useful for me, before I finally decided to end the story.

"Story?" asked Fluttershy.

Hehehe... I am going paranoid, and mad. This eternal life thing doesn't apply to ones consciousness. But for some reason, something tells me all of this is a story. I don't know, maybe it's just how this is playing out.

Fluttershy tried looking around, but still saw nothing but limbo.

Just listen to me and nothing will go too bad. I realize I am mad but I can embrace it. I just want one more thing before I go, this may take some time, it may fail early on. But If I succede, it will be something for me to be content with in my life, in a way, as I will have my stamp on this world, and I will leave.

Just do as I say, be the first of a new trend...

Fluttershy slowly began to come to. Her head had a familiar heavy feeling, as her muscles all felt tense. She began to open her eyes, and noticed an odd taste in her mouth. With a few blinks, her vision became clear enough to see she was in her home.

She slowly sat up, and rubbed her eyes, beginning to remember the last of what happened the night before.

"Ugg.." she muttered, "How did I, get here...?"

Right about then, she heard hoof steps from the kitchen come into the main living room. Right about then Rarity came through the door and gave a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank goodness your awake." she said, "I was worried I would have to take care of your animals for you today."

Fluttershy squinted a bit, "How long was I asleep? How did I get back here, I mean, I remember, the forest."

Rarity trotted up to Fluttershy and handed her some tea, "Take some of this, it should help. And don't worry, the Princess got you back here. She had to leave to talk about something with Discord. Pinkie also had to leave earlier. Although, something did happen."

Fluttershy scratched her head trying to remember what happened last, "What happened?"

Rarity bit her lip, she was worried about the reaction she would get when Fluttershy found out she bit Rainbow Dash.

"Well... it's complicated."

Fluttershy gave a worried look, and still couldn't get that odd taste out of her mouth, "Rarity, what did I do?"

Rarity sighed, "You kind of, bit, Rainbow Dash."

Fluttershy stared in blunt realisation, and she also realized another thing. That taste in her mouth, was blood.

"I-I bit, her?! Is she alright?!?!" Asked Fluttershy frantically.

"She's is fine, she's fine." Reassured Rarity, "She's at the hospital, but I'm sure she is making a fast recovery."

Fluttershy stood up and ran right to the door, Rarity quickly followed.

"Fluttershy! Calm down darling."

Fluttershy turned back to Rarity, and shook her head before running to town. Rarity sighed, and quickly followed.

------------------The ponyville hospital------------------

Rainbow Dash scratched at her arm, it was much more itchy this morning. She was also fealing rather anxious, but Twilight said that was an expected side effect.

"So..." said Twilight, "How are you feeling now?"

Rainbow Dash tapped her hoof, "Like before, but, more anxious. I really can't wait to get out of this bed. Besides, I feel perfectly fine already!"

Twilight wrote that down, "I think you should just wait, the nurse will change your bandages soon. Besides, it will give me a chance to see if lycanthropy does actually speed up healing."

Suddenly, a nurse opened the door to the room, letting in Fluttershy and Rarity.

"Fluttershy!" Said Twilight, "How are you feeling?"

Fluttershy quickly replied, "Fine, sort of..." she then looked at Rainbow Dash, "Rainbow!" Fluttershy came right over to Rainbow Dash, "Are you alright?! Are you in tact?! I didn't hurt you too bad, right?!"

Rainbow Dash back from Fluttershy a bit, "I'm fine, I'm fine! Calm down Flutters!"

Fluttershy took a deep breath, "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry! I didn't mean to let that happen!"

Rainbow replied, "It's fine Fluttershy, so I will be a dog every full moon, that doesn't sound too bad."

Fluttershy shook her head, "No! you don't understand! This curse is the worst thing that could have ever happened to me! And now I've gone and hurt some pony, and even made you have to share the same burden I have for years!"

Twilight came beside Fluttershy, "Calm down Fluttershy, it isn't like you killed somepony."

Fluttershy eyes widened, "Twilight! I have only gone a month since I ran out of the one thing keeping me from hurting others, and I already hurt my best friend! How am I supposed to not hurt another pony, Or even..."

"Fluttershy! Look, I'm sure you will work something out." said Rarity.

Fluttershy looked at Rarity, "I don't know anymore. Especially if there are ponies like Omnitreza trying to make me cause harm. I-I never wanted any of this to happen... I just let myself run out of the potion, now I'm probably going to hurt all of you at some time!"

Twilight quickly replied "No, you won't, I'm sure of it!"

Fluttershy turned to Twilight, "That's not the first time somepony said that to me, now look at what I've done! I'm a horrible monster!"

Fluttershy's eyes teared up as she began hyperventilating a bit. Rainbow Dash was about to say something, but she simply ran out the door.

---------------------------Fluttershy's cottage---------------------------

Fluttershy slammed her front door shut, and leaned back on it. She simply let out the tears, and cried at the door for what seemed like an hour. Angel stared at Fluttershy unsure what he should do, as she began to ball up.

Angel got an idea, and hopped to the kitchen. In short time, and returned with a Tiger Lily in a small pot, and slowly came up to Fluttershy. With a few nudges, she looked up to him, and Angel held up the flower hoping to cheer her up a bit.

Fluttershy pet Angel on the head, and said "Thanks Angel Bunny... I just... I just want to make sure I can't ever hurt you or my friends."

Fluttershy sat for another moment, and then decided to go feed the critters, she had yet to do so for the day. She gathered multiple bags of different feed and berries, and went out back. She had to still wipe a few tears that kept coming, but she managed to make all the critters happy.

Eventually, she came in and prepared the vegetables for all of the bunnies, including Angel. With filling the multiple bowls, Fluttershy watched as all of the critters ate, crowding around the bowls. They felt at home here, always being able to trust Fluttershy for all she did for them. Yet, that thought gave a turn in Fluttershy's stomach, as she began to think about how they really couldn't trust her.

Flutteshy teared up again, and Angel hopped over to her and tried to confort her, hoping she would pick him up and be happy again.

"Angel..." she started, looking down at his trusting eyes, "You can't trust me... I'll hurt you, I really, don't want to, but I will..."

Angel stared at Fluttershy, as she sniffed, and quickly went up to her bedroom.

-----------------------Ponyville-----------------------

Twilight and Rainbow Dash headed to Sugarcube corner, Rarity following behind. Rainbow would flinch in slight pain every so often if she put too much weight on her leg, but the doctor said it wasn't broken anymore, and healing quite nicely.

"So I guess that myth was true." said Twilight, leaving Rainbow unsure of what she meant, "I mean, the fast healing thing."

Rainbow Dash replied, "I guess so. I bet I will be off cloud duty for the next week as they think my leg is still broken."

"Don't you think it's a bit rude to free loud for a week?" asked Rarity.

Rainbow Dash chuckled, "It's not like I can't clean up as many clouds as I missed over a week in short time."

Twilight rolled her eyes, and continued down the road. Right around then Applejack became visible, followed by Applebloom walking Winona.

"Hello Applejack and Applebloom." said Twilight, "How's Winona doing?"

Applebloom replied, "She's healing pretty well now, soon enough she won't need any more bandages on her leg."

"Yup, were just walkin' her to make sure she will be able to handle working again." continued Applejack, as she raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Rainbow, your wagin'."

Rainbow looked back, and surely enough Applejack was right, "Uhh..."

Rarity chuckled, "I think your experiencing side effects, although I always felt you were kind of like a wolf, picking on helpless ponies and all."

Rainbow Dash readily stopped waging, and replied "Hey, you have to admit the full blizzard in the town hall was funny."

Applejack straightened up and asked, "So ah guess Rainbow Dash is better, sort of. How's Fluttershy?"

"I don't know." started Twilight, She stopped at the hospital, but ran home crying. I feel bad for her, but I think she needs a bit of time alone."

Applebloom replied, "What happened anyway? I mean, how did Rainbow Dash end up in the hospital, and what is this with Fluttershy?"

Applejack replied, "Um, Puberty! Ah mean... just take Winona to 'round Sugarcube corner and ah'll meet yah there."

Applejack sighed, "Fine..." and with a look at Winona, she noticed Rainbow Dash sniffing Winona, and Winona barking back.

After a few awkward moments of Rainbow Dash apparently socializing with Winona, Applebloom asked "Are yah done talkin; with her yet?"

Rainbow Dash jumped, "Oh! I'm sorry, I just never noticed how, awesome, Winona is before!"

Applebloom turned her head, "I guess puberty does do weird things to yah."

Rainbow Dash blushed and said, "Alright, whatever, I'll just go this way for a bit."

Applebloom left rather confused, and Applejack turned back to Twilight. "Well, ah guess we'll see each other later. I'll check up on Fluttershy later."

Twilight replied "Alright, See you!"

Rarity nudged Twilight on the shoulder as Applejack left, and said "I think Rainbow Dash is enjoying acting like a dog."

Twilight turned around to see Rainbow Dash chasing after a goose on foot, apparently forgetting she had wings.

"Should we stop her?" asked Twilight.

Rarity chuckled, "Nah, I want to be able to use this."

Fluttershy lied in her bed sobbing quietly, although in some time she fell asleep.

Fluttershy looked around, seeing a familiar sight. It was the Old temple from her dream before. In short time, she opened the door, and looked around, seeing Princess Luna waiting with some tea.

"You look like you could use some tea." said Luna, "I just had a rather stressful talk with my sister and Discord, but I suppose I better make sure your alright."

Fluttershy looked at Luna, and let a few tears come, "I, I just don't know anymore... I can't let myself hurt my friends, or Angel, or anypony I love."

Luna trotted to Fluttershy slowly and levitated some tea to her. Fluttershy took a long sip and wiped some tears away.

"Now Fluttershy, I know I wanted to teach you how to control this, but I have a bigger problem now." Said Luna, "Omnitreza has much more influence among many notable ponies across Equestria. In fact, I fear he may be planning a cue. My sister doesn't want to believe it, but I must spend my full time in trying to stop this."

Fluttershy looked down at her tea, "He wants to use me..."

Luna nodded, "I know. Discord is going to be working on making sure he doesn't get to you though."

"But what if he does?" asked Fluttershy, surprising Luna, "What if Discord still can't stop him, and he uses me to hurt others. What if I can't help hurting others myself, and I just hurt... kill... my friends."

Luna looked at Fluttershy's worried countenance, "Calm down, you just need to take some time to relieve some stress."

Fluttershy quickly retorted "Princess! how can you know what this is like?! I'm dangerous, I can't be trusted yet so many give me their trust! Soon I will just betray all of my friends!"

Luna cam toward Fluttershy as she freaked out more, breathing heavily. Luna reached a hoof to her shoulder, but Fluttershy just yelled "Just leave me be! I need to think!"

Luna stepped back, as the dream was beginning to fall apart. "Alright, I will leave, just don't think about anything stupid."

With that, everything snapped away.

A few hours passed as Fluttershy tossed and turned in her bed. It was still the middle of the day, but she felt no reason to get up and go do something. She could visit Pinkie Pie, or help Rarity with dresses, but in the end Fluttershy felt like she would just rip them apart.

The thoughts of what she might do continued to come to her head, making to poor pegasus cry more every time a new one came.

Angel came into the room as it was a long time since he heard anything from Fluttershy. He noticed she was still saddened, so he crawled up onto her bed and nuzzled her side.

Fluttershy turned and looked at Angel, he had a fairly worried look on his face.

"Angel, leave me alone, you don't want to be near monsters." she muttered.

Angel shook his head, and crawled closer to Fluttershy, nuzzling under her foreleg. She in return cried some more, her head still being plagued by thoughts of hurting Angel.

She then said sternly, in a quavering voice, "Angel, l-leave."

Angel ignored her, and she said "I-I'm serious, I will hurt you, just leave, forever! Don't bother coming back to me!"

Angel stared up to her in a little shock, but he still didn't budge.

"Angel, Leave right n-now! You can't trust me! Just leave or I will hurt you!"
Fluttershy closed her eyes, and sobbed while covering her ears, "I'm a monster! And I will prove it!"

Angel still stared at her, and reached out a paw trying to confort her. Fluttershy then shoved him off the bed. He landed with a loud thud, and Fluttershy just sobbed. Angel made a small noise of pain, before Fluttershy heard him run down the stairs. She then plopped into the bed and cried full force.

She continued like this for an hour, eventually the sky change color showing it was around the afternoon. It was then Fluttershy decided on something, she did not want to hurt her friends, pets, or Angel Bunny.

Fluttershy quickly flew to the shed outside, and searched around. Eventually she found a rope, and she decided it would do. She decided to quickly take it to her room to avoid to much notice from the critters.

The next thing she did was go downstairs and into the kitchen. She pulled out much of her inventory of feed, and without any words, and any looks at her animals, she overfilled all the bowls, feeders, and left the remaining feed in open bags sitting out.

Fluttershy triple check to make sure she got all of the feeders, then grabbed a quill and paper and went back upstairs.

She sat down at a small desk, and wiped her tears away, then wrote on the paper.

She wrote in regards to each of her friends. making sure to say something nice about how she really cared about each one. She even wrote down what they could have. Then she made sure to apologize to Rainbow Dash for any hardships she will face because of her.
She made a simple request that somepony nice and caring come and take care of her critters, and one of her friends take in Angel Bunny.
She thank the Cutie Mark Crusaders for giving her some fun times while she watched over them.
Then she thanked the Princesses, both of them for caring about the land, and trying their best to take care of everypony and race in it.
She ended off with a thanks to Discord, for being a good friend. and She left a reuest that he try his bes to be friends with Twilight and the others.

And finally, Fluttershy gave a last signature.

Putting the quill down, she read the paper, and then rolled it up, and put a very special ribbon on it. Fluttershy put the paper on the downstairs in a noticeable position, so whoever came would know what happened before being caught off guard coming upstairs.

She then looked out the window at the scenery of ponyville, and with some tears turned away. She could hardly bear the guilt she was already feeling for what she planned to do.

Fluttershy grabbed the rope, and tied it tight to a board across the ceiling. She then made her bed, and set a stool up next to the rope.

Fluttershy stood on the stool, and used her forelegs to put the rope around her neck. She then waited, unsure of when to go.

And finally, she decided to look around one last time, and in her doorway she saw Angel. The bunny was wied eyed, and looked at her in horror. Not for what she was, but for what she was going to do to him right there. And in that instant, Fluttershy teared up, as did Angel, and she pulled away from the rope and hugged Angel tightly. They both cried, and Fluttershy realized something.

She realized that by doing what she planned, she would end up hurting everypony that cared about her.

She though about how Applebloom, Sweetiebelle, and Scootaloo would react when they heard the news. How sad they would be, how much it would tear at them. Perhaps it would make them feel guilty in a way.

She also thought about her friends, how Twilight would feel she did not try enough, that she had failed. Applejack would beat herself up for not caring enough. Rarity would loose her inspiration for some time, she would feel like she never had enough time having fun with Fluttershy. Pinkie Pie would feel like she failed, she would be saddened, and possibly depressed and incapable of cheering anypony up. And finally Rainbow Dash would be torn up, and the mad at herself, and tear herself up for letting such a thing happen.

Fluttershy changed her mind then, but, Omnitreza did not, as her window was suddenly smashed, and she was snatched up in a net and taken.

Chapter 13: Kindess prevails sometimes.

Fluttershy's head hurt, an she felt numb. She began to come to, and started moving. Then she felt a blanket on her, and as her eyes opened, she saw a blurry view of a small room.

Upon blinking, her vision focused, and everything cleared. She looked around and saw she was in some rectangular wooden room. There was a window that had iron bars on it, and an iron door. All around were multiple cabinets, some slightly open showing different ingredients and potions. The whole room basically looked like a messy chemistry lab.

Fluttershy scratched her head and sat up trying to think of were she was.

"Hello yellow pegasus pony." said a raspy voice.

Fluttershy replied, "Hello..." then she looked to see a smaller changeling sitting near her bed.

"EEEK!" she yelped as she press against the wall, figuring out she could not faze through it magically.

The Changeling sighed, "Look, I will give it to you the way he wanted me too. *Cough Cough* You have been commandeered by the 'New Equestrian Structure', and will stay within our control for the time being. You and will be fed and taken care of as long as you behave for the time that we need you. You will do as Omnitreza says, and you will not do or drink any drugs while under our control. Got that?"

Fluttershy was shaking in fear,"W-What? H-How did you find me?! Where a-are we?!"

The changeling replied, "Right now, we are flying to Fillydelphia. And we found you because you let our leader visit your house, and never left, even when you figured out his intentions may not align with yours."

Fluttershy then noticed Angel Bunny was in a small cage on one of the counters.

"Angel!" she exclaimed.

The changeling looked over to the bunny, "Oh yes, the great and powerful biting rabbit. Although I think you should have named him Rambo, but that's just me."

Fluttershy jumped up and ran to Angel, and this caused a cauldron sitting on a table to spill over.

"YOU LITTLE CLUTZ!" yelled the changeling as he, she, he.. she...it quickly picked up the cauldron.

Fluttershy picked up Angels cage, noticing he looked rather disgruntled. She then turned back to the Changeling.

"Sorry, my bad..."

The liquid rolled on the floor toward Fluttershy, and the changeling yelled, "MOVE! Get on the counter!"

Fluttershy backed against the counter from the changeling in surprise. Then, she felt a tingling, then cramping sensation on her front hooves, and she looked down to see the liquid touching them. It was then she decided to obey and get up onto the counter.

The changeling grabbed a old looking mop, and began wiping the liquid up while mumbling something. Then it passed by Fluttershy and eyed her front hooves.

"Yah don't want to look at your hooves right now..." it said before moping the rest of the liquid.

Fluttershy raised her right fore-hoof, and yelped as it was growing out in hair, and splitting out into a large paw.

"Don't worry, your not going to change, just your hooves. You damn clutz."

Fluttershy asked "W-What is that?!"

"Mural Moon potion, invented by Omnitreza himself. He's not going to be happy when he sees you just ruined his most recent batch. We should be landing shortly though, I will tell him what you did then."

Fluttershy stared at her hooves, or now paws, and asked "C-Can't you just let m-me go. I won't tell anypony about t-this!"

The Changeling put the mop back, and stared at her, "Seriously?"

Fluttershy bowed her head. Then without thinking it through, she grabbed Angel's cage and made a b-line to the door. Upon turning the latch, she almost fell out into a large lake. They were indeed flying, as all the train cars were tied together, and the lead one had some magical aura spreading to the rest.

Then, the changeling grabbed her and threw her back before slamming the door shut.

"LOOK HERE You... little..." it started.

Fluttershy had hit the center table, and as she felt her head felt more liquid hitting her wing. The changeling then grabbed her and threw her onto the bed.

"Dammit!" it cursed, as it repositioned the cauldron once again, "SIT THERE AND DON'T MOVE OR I WILL EAT YOUR HEART! YEA, CHANGELINGS CAN DO THAT!"

Fluttershy nodded and pressed into the bed, she then looked slightly to her right wing seeing it was changing shape and color. Angel Bunny however, was mouthing death threats to the Changeling.

Once again, the changeling mopped up the liquid, and then put the old mop back.

"Look..." it started, "I know you don't want to be here, but if you do what he wants, you can go home free. Got it?"

Fluttershy only nodded, trying to ignore the horrible cramping and pain in her front hooves and right wing. The changeling then eyed her, and walked over to another cabinet and pulled out a pill.

"Here," it said as it flew over to her, "This should relieve the cramping."

Fluttershy grabbed the pill with her shaking paw and stuff it into her mouth, then readily swallowed. The Changeling then sat back and seemed to be calming down.

"I'm Quartzel," said the changeling suddenly, "what do you call yourself?"

Fluttershy curled up a bit more, and replied, "I-I'm, F-Fluttershy..."

The changeling Quartzel replied, "It fits, with your personality, and all."

Fluttershy looked around, and replied "I guess so..."

Fluttershy sat there unsure of what to do. Her wing and fore-hooves were feeling a little better, but she did not see much opportunity for escape at the moment. With another look at her hooves, or now paws, she decided to cover herself in the blanket.

Quartzel sighed again, "You know, I could change to a pony or something, if that would help."

Fluttershy looked at Quartzel for a second, and turned away, "No, i-it's fine."

Quartzel replied, "I know my current look is rather scary to you pony folks..."

Suddenly, with a flash of green, Quartzel changed shape to Mayor Mare. Fluttershy looked at him curiously, then looked away again.

"Wait, politicians aren't very lovable." said Quartzel, as he changed shape into Big Mac, "Is this better?"

Fluttershy replied, "Ehh... it is, a bit, awkward..."

Quartzel thought for a second, "Your right indeed." and then he changed shape back into his changeling form.

Fluttershy then looked to Angel in his cage beside her, and noticed he was lying down, but still looked really mad about the situation.

"Um..." started Fluttershy, "Why are you, w-working for him?"

Quartzel replied "Omnitreza, lead our queen here, hoping she could discharge the Equestrian society. That way he could gather the ponies and form a strong communistic system, of which us changelings would get to integrate ourselves into. But then the Canterlot invasion failed, so he gather as many of us as he could and went off on his plan-B."

"What is plan-B? I-I mean, I think I s-should know now that I am part of it..." asked Fluttershy.

Quartzel replied, "He will tell you shortly when we land outside Fillydelphia."

Fluttershy sighed, and Quartzel decided to ask "So why do you take care of so many animals?"

Fluttershy tipped her head, "Well, I just work well with them. I mean, I figured out I could communicate with them on a new level than any other pony. And I just want to make sure they all are taken care of."

Quartzel replied "Hmm, I guess then some other pony will have to take care of them until you get back."

Fluttershy responded, "I-I'm pretty sure some of my friends can help with it... At least I still have Angel here."

"I guess that's good..." started Quartzel, "I never need to eat, but what do you eat?"

Fluttershy thought for a second, "Mostly different salads, sometimes vegetables."

"No meat eh?" asked Quartzel.

Fluttershy quickly asked "Meat?! I-I-I would never! W-we ponies are herbivores."

"I'm sorry," replied Quartzel shaking his hoof... thing... "It's just some of the other Marewolves I have met ate meat on occasion."

Fluttershy was a bit shaken by that news, "W-Why would they do that?"

Quartzel shrugged "Because they can, but I must say your the most timid, and rather nice ones I have met."

Fluttershy looked away again, "W-Well, I try to be nice."

Quartzel responded "I guess you succeed, based on what all you've told me."

Fluttershy blushed slightly, "Thanks, I-I haven't ever been foalnapped before, but this isn't too bad with somepony nice to talk to."

Quartzel looked around and replied, "You think I'm nice?"

Fluttershy shrugged, "You aren't eating my heart... and your actually talking."

Quartzel chuckled, "That was a lie, changelings can't eat hearts... Or can we? The world may never know."

Fluttershy and Quartzel chuckled, as Quartzel said "Omnitreza is a bit mad by the way, but don't let him intimidate you."

Fluttershy raised her eyebrow, "He is?"

Quartzel nodded, "He knows it too, his mind is deteriorating whilst his body continues. It's driving the poor man nuts, luckily he only shows slight alzheimer's right now, but some of it is showing. Such as sometimes he can be totally fine, but he has begun to stop thinking things through, and sometimes even enjoys fear and gore."

Fluttershy thought about it, and asked "What do you mean, enjoys fear and gore?"

Quartzel replied, "He began traumatized for months after an incident years ago. He was in charge of the last lycan reservation, when something horrible happened... At first he tried to forget it, and never wanted to see anything that bad again. But then, he began noticing he had very little care about death. And sometime recently, he has began delving into gore novels."

Fluttershy was slightly disturbed, but managed to ask "What happened that traumatized him?"

Quartzel sighed, "Well... it happened like this..."

Omnitreza sat at his desk in a large fortress. The fortress was mostly one large stone wall around a large camp like area. It was dusk now, and Omnitreza was talking to some other pony.

"Well Trezona," started a red maned and bodied female earth pony "Should we try the new syrim you concocted? I know the Luna's Glory potion was successful in tests."

A slightly younger looking Omnitreza replied "We are scheduled to begin dosing them with it tonight Ruby."

He then sat up and trotted over to a cabinet. He pulled out a box filled with many vile's of the Luna's Glory potion. Each one glowed a slight gray, sitting in a small crystal shaped glass vile each.

"Take this down to the rest. Tell them if they don't want to be locked in a small confined room all night, to take this." he said.

"Alright Trezona... And what is that other potion in that cabinet?" replied Ruby

Omnitreza looked back, and saw the other potion, the Morel Moon potion in as many vile's as the Luna's glory, "That was my former attempt at it... but it is very, counter productive."

Ruby nodded, and carried the box down the tower. Omnitreza went back to his desk and began filling out an entry on his journal he had since taking charge of this reservation. Then he heard a crash downstairs,.

"What the?" asked Omnitreza as he stood up.

Suddenly, a very peeved off looking female grey unicorn with a potion cutie mark burst into his door. With one look at Omnitreza, he lifted a crossbow at him with magic, and Omnitreza simply held up his hooves trying to look unimpressed.

"Good job Lucy." said Omnitreza, "Now what? The moon is almost out, your not going to get far without us finding you, you know that, right?"

The gray unicorn slammed his hoof on the ground and stared at Omnitreza angirly, "Look! I am sick of all of this! You have been putting far to much onto us, and you have been completely violating our rights as Equestrian citizens!"

Omnitreza chuckled, "Look, I don't call all of the shots, but let me fill you in on something. This colony is separate from Equestria, and is as close to a sovereign nation as one can get. We just make sure your safe, and I just make sure we can keep doing that. So put down the weapon, Lucy, and we can get this-"

The grey unicorn cut Omnitreza off there, "STOP CALLING ME LUCY! Were did you get that name anyway?"

Omnitreza chuckled, "The first self proclaimed patriot himself, Lucifer. He was a rebel, like you, but if he had one, ponies and living creatures would be under his tough reign, much more imposed than-"

The grey unicorn fired the crossbow, and it just missed Omnitreza. He quickly attempted to reload, but Omnitreza tackled him in an instant. The two rolled over each other, as the grey unicorn punched violently, while Omnitreza tried holding him down. Then, grey unicorn hit him and the neck, and Omnitreza kicked him across the room and into his cabinet.

"You damn wolf." muttered Omnitreza gasping for breath through his sore throat.

Omnitreza looked over and saw that the Morel Moon potion had been knocked down all over the grey unicorn. Omnitreza in a heartbeat staggered up and went toward the door, watching as the unicorn shape shifted in short time from an angry young girl, to a large even more angry looking gray wolf. So, Omnitreza ran right down the stairs.

Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, Omnitreza saw Ruby knocked out, and a guard pony on the ground unconiouse as well. But that was non the matter, as now the wolf jumped toward him from the stairs. Omnitreza narowly dodged, and quickly ran toward the stair again.

Omnitreza backed slowly up the stairs, and then ran up and yelled to the Guards on the wall, "We have a live on in the tower! Get the bally tranquilizers!"

Suddenly, the wolf burst up the stairs, and Omnitreza jumped back. He then looked to the open cabinet, and regretted not watching the wolf more closely as it promptly bit his fore-leg.

"DAMMIT!" he yelled, punching the wolf with a large amount of strength, "You little bastard! I will have you court marshaled! I know were not the military but I WILL do it!"

Suddenly the wolf lept out the window and into the camp area. Omnitreza then ran to his desk and pulled out a odd necklace and put it on. The neckalace was in the shaped of a dragon's head and wings, and was made out of gold. With turning the odd jewel in the necklace, Omnitreza began having an odd magic aura appear around him. Then he lept out the window, and formed into a large Dragon, the same one Fluttershy saw many moons later.

"Were did you go?!" yelled a largely furious Omnitreza.

"TREZONA!" yelled a Royal Guard from the wall, "Get out of there!"

Omnitreza turned around, and was shocked to see the large wolf smashing multiple metal doors o small armored sheds open. The doors flew off of the many strong sheds, and out came more Marewolves, of different shapes and sizes. And under the full moon, Omnitreza furiously charged at all of them.

He then fought them, threw one into another, and then received a bit of his hind leg. He turned and kicked that wolf, only to be bit on the front leg and throat by too other wolves. Omnitreza spun on the ground and threw them of, before turning and slapping one charging at him with his tail. Then the grey wolf jumped on Omnitreza's head and bit his shoulder. The dragon Omnitreza threw it off, and breathed fire all around furiously.

"DAMN ALL OF YOU!" he yelled, "Now I am for sure going to be like you! So you know what!? YOU KNOW WHAT?!" Yelled Omnitreza, as his cat like eyes suddenly turned yellow.

Suddenly, Ruby yelled from the wall, "Trezona! Wait! Don't!"

Omnitreza ignored her, and flew into the sky. Then infront of the full moon, and spat a fire across the entire fortress. Burning every one of them alive. The Royal Guards quickly ran from the wall as Omnitreza furiously spat fireballs everywhere in a rage. Everything began burning to a crisp, as many howls of pain were heard by the fleeing guards.

Then, Omnitreza woke up the morning in a spot of charred grass. With a look around, he cursed. it was not a scene one should describe, but he just cursed. The Fort was gone, burned to a crisp, as were all of them.

"Dammit Dammit Dammit! Who would have know I would be affected so quickly?! Why didn't I just F***ing control myself?!" he said.

Omnitreza sat in the spot staring at the remains of the fortress, and, you know who. It was somehting that still shouldn't be described. Then eventually, Ruby came up behind him.

"Trezona... are you all right."

Omnitreza lifted his bleeding leg, and felt his multiple bite wounds, before saying "Stupid.. Just stupid."

"I know..." said the red pony, "We have to go know though."

Omnitreza stood up, and picked up the neckalace, "Note, to, self... if your bitten by a Lycan on a full moon..."

Ruby turned and said, "Trezona, come on."

Omnitreza ignored her and continued, "Do not use this. Never use it!"

He then took the neckalace, and left.

The changeling and pegasus sat there silent for a few moments, until the whole cart shook for a few moments, before bumping as if it landed on the ground.

"Thank you for flying air lycan," said Quartzel jokingly, as he tried to lift up the mood, "You may now stay here until Omnitreza comes."

Twilight paced in Fluttershy's cottage trying to think of what to do, whilst Applejack was almost in tears.

"Ah can't believe she wanted to commit suicide..." said Applejack, as she held the note.

Rarity replied, "We probably should've made sure she was alright, and that we didn't think she was a monster."

Rainbow Dash added from across the room, "Come on Flutters, she knows I can shake anything off!"

Pinkie added, "As soon as we find her, I am going to throw a big party so she knows we all still love her!"

Twilight replied, "But were would he have taken her?"

Suddenly, Discord appeared in the room, and said "Celestia wants you all in Canterlot."

"What? Why?" asked Twilight.

Discord replied, "She needs you to get after Omnitreza, because I can't."

"Well, we better get going to the train." said Applejack.

Suddenly, Discord zapped everypony in the room into Canterlot's castle. All of them had there vision blurred, and their stomachs felt like someone just picked them up and shook them around violently. Then, Twilight was able to stop herself from falling over and focus her vison on Princess Celestia and Princess Luna infront of her.

"Princesses!" Said Twilight as she rebalanced, "Don't let discord do that to us again..."

Pinkie Pie jumped into the air, "Do it again!"

Discord replied, "Why Wait?" then grabbed Pinkie and zapped her to the moon for a split second and back.

Pinkie Pie then spun around dizzily and said "Far out... man..." as she fell over.

Princess Celestia coughed at Discord disapprovingly, and said "It seams we are in dire need of finding Omnitreza, and as soon as possible. As brought to my attention by my sister, He is planning a coup."

Applejack gasped, "That jerk wants to take over? Why?"

Princess Celestia said, "I don't know why, all I know is power is tempting. But last time I spoke with him, I expected he would have passed away by know."

Princess Luna spoke up, "Omnitreza is actually imortal, he won't die from natural causes. I don't know how he got this, but that just means he's been working under the radar for years now. I even have reason to believe he is behind the changeling invasion."

Twilight thought for a second, "But didn't Queen Chrysalis run the invasion on Canterlot?"

Princess Celestia replied, "She didn't know about Equestria until someone told her about this land. But all of this proves we need to do something. I am currently running an investigation on all of Canterlot's programs and bureaucracies. But I need to all to take the Elements of harmony and attempt to find your friend Fluttershy. I am sure he has her with him for unknown reasons."

Two Royal Guards came into the room carrying the Elements of Harmony, whilst keeping an eye on Discord.

"Make hast finding your friend, I will assist you." said Princess Luna, "My sister will stay here and investigate as she said. Currently, I have reasons to believe he is around Fillydelphia now."

Suddenly, Rarity asked, "Princess, were do you find this stuff out?"

Princess Luna looked around, "My Guard acts more as a spy agency than anything right now."

Chapter 14: The underground.

The sunlight was barley visible through the trees, as a group of changelings trotted don a old path, touting Fluttershy along a rope. Behind, were multiple small carriages being touted by changelings as well. Fillydelphia was visible in the near distance, but was soon covered up by more trees. The animals seamed to be either scared, while very few birds were around. Unlike most forest, this one didn't feel all that natural.

"Um..." said Fluttershy quietly.

"Yes?" replied the Changeling pulling here rope, "You don't need to pee, do you?"

Fluttershy just kept looking down, nearly being dragged by the rope, as she asked "Were does t-this path lead, it does-sn't feel nice here..."

The changelings looked at each other unsurely, as suddenly Omnitreza came up from behind.

"I have a fortress here... Well, it used to be. Now it is underground."

Fluttershy shivered at the though of being pushed underground, and Omnitreza giggled rather creepily as he trotted toward the front. All the while, the changelings seam to have gotten a little more grim about things, perhaps it was the feeling the area was giving off.

Suddenly, the whole ground stopped, as the path ended infront of a bunch of tightly packed trees. The changelings sat still, some looking at each other with a hint of disapproval. Omnitreza trotted up to the trees, and pulled back part of the bark, revealing a typewriter. Immediately, he typed something in, and the whole group of tightly packed trees opened apart, revealing a stone stairway into darkness.

With a look back at the nervous group of changelings, Omnitreza said "Well, it's time for some trials again. And no, you can't stay out here."

With the flip of a switch, what sounded like a motor of sorts was heard, and multiple lights on the way down light up slowly.

"I think it's high time we checked on Dai Lee and his little buddy anyway." Said Omnitreza, and with a smirk, he lead down the stairs.

Everything felt cold, and the posture of the changelings right round her didn't help Fluttershy to feel better. She didn't even need to ask to tell something disturbing was likely coming.

The group then came out into a hallway. It had old green tiles on the roof, floor, and walls, while going a long way forward with many barred doors. At the end laid what looked to be a very secure door, made of iron and clamped shut all the way around. On it was a triangle with an eye on it, of which Fluttershy couldn't recognize. But she had little time to think before she was being drug forward by Omnitreza.

"Uhm, what is t-that?" asked fluttershy as the two approuched the door on the end.

Omnitreza smirked, as he put in a key, and pulled multiple bars over, "It's my secret weapon."

Suddenly, he opened the door, to a large stone room. the was a barred cage to the right side, but to the left was a pony, or what looked like a pony. It sat in a chair, muttering all sorts of stuff, as it's eyes, which looked fogged as if it were blind twitched. On it's head was a metal contraption with multiple crystals on it, covering what looked to be a white mane, while it's body was grey.

"Dai lee, I want you to meet someone." said Omnitreza.

Suddenly, the pony's head snapped toward Fluttershy, it's eyes kept looking in one spot at if it were blind, but it's head turned as it he were studying here. Readily, it stood up, and stared walking toward her, prompting her to back up into the wall with a gulp.

The grey pony smirked, while still twitching, and said "FLutTTTerSshy, So how was the CRYSSSStaLL Empire?! Wait, I already know, you watched King SSSSommmbrA explode."

His voice was slightly raspy, with some words sounding in all tones. Dai Lee the came closer to fluttershy, and sniffed her hair.

"I'm sorry, I don't get smells often. But I do get vISSSuals and SSSSSouNd." He spoke, before seaming to beging loosing himself in a muttering incantation.

Fluttershy backed toward Omnitreza shivering, as Omnitreza said "He is hooked up to Equestria, sees almost everything. He was mostly my creation, but I had help from another... The owner of this ones body."

Fluttershy looked at Omnitreza in surpirse, "H-h-he's, u-undead?"

"Kind of, the professor that owned this body, received massive head trama, and was left in a vegetated state. I used his body to put our special Providence Mind, I like to call it, into action. With this one now, I can have him trigger even control of ponies minds... but it is fatal to the brain of whomever we take over, so I don't use it much."

Fluttershy stared at the muttering mess of a pony in quiet horror, and bravely asked "What are you going to u-use him for?"

Omnitreza look at Dai Lee, "IT, will help me take over if my plan A doesn't work."

Fluttershy and Omnitreza sat there in silence for a few moments, before Fluttershy gulped and asked, "May we please go?"

"Of course, I have one more i'd like you to meet." replied Omnitreza, as he lead her out the door.

That last sentence sank Fluttershy's heart even further, she didn't want to see what other horrible things could be here. Though, soon they were lead down a different hallway, and into a different room. Here, was a large barred prison cel, with a changeling sitting to the oposite side of it.

Then, in the cell, Fluttershy saw movement. A tan, red maned pony popped it's head through the bars, eyes looking to Omnitreza in obvious hunger. Then it saw Fluttershy, and gasped, revealing sharp canines.

"No! I told you before, I won't do it!!!" yelled the earth pony, as it backed from the bars in horror.

"This isn't food," said Omnitreza, "She's like you, for company."

The pony shivered, and it's stomach growled. However, Fluttershy saw there were multiple bowls of salad in the corner. The Pony then began to cry loudly, and in slight pain.

"Please, what more can you test on me, just let me die... Uggg."

The pony felt it's stomach as it growled again, "You've already screwed me up, ugg... please."

Fluttershy began to feel tear comming from here eyes, as she said "No, you'll be alright, we can get out of here!"

"Bold thing to say considering the circumstances Fluttershy." Said Omnitreza, as he opened the cell door, "Now I will keep you here temporarily while I go worked on something."

Fluttershy trotted into the cell slowly, and the doors slammed shut and locked. Omnitreza and the changeling then promtly left.

"Oh god... It hurts worse now..." Muttered the pony.

Fluttershy turned to her and started trotting.

"No! Get back, you'll make it... Worse! Gah!" Said the pony.

"Please, what's wrong? I can help!" Said Fluttershy, as she watched the pony hold her stomach tighter.

"No... He, he was testing on me... I didn't even know until it was too late... That food, it caused this!" Said the pony in tears.

Fluttershy truned her head, "What food?"

The pony attempt to stand up, but only made it a few inches to the corner next to the bars, "He, he put meat, animal meat, squirrel meat, all kinds of it, in this soup. I didn't mean it! HE DID IT! GAAHHHHH!"

Fluttershy couldn't help herself, and ran up to help the pony. She felt hot all the way around, and Fluttershy noticed mangled fur, grown out in a different color on her back.

"I told you, please, stay back!"

"No, I can help you!" Said Fluttershy, "Please tell me what is wrong!"

The pony felt her head, and replied "I think, I am changing... Permanently... I was a Lycan, but that diet... I can't eat lettuce anymore, it's just hurts! And the hungrier I get, the more I feel like my mind is slipping, my fur is mangling..."

"Then we need to find a way out get you a doctor!" Said Fluttershy desperately.

"Your too much of an optimist, all I can do is wait and see what happens... that why he stopped giving me meat, too see what happens... ugg..."

The Pony and Fluttershy sat quiet for a few moments, as Fluttershy sat next to her.

"My name is... Deb... I think. What's yours?" Said the pony.

"Fluttershy." replied Fluttershy.

Deb giggled a bit, seaming to be ignoring her pain, "Nice too meet you, but, I would have preferred to hav met you by better circumstances."

Deb giggled, and Fluttershy giggled in return, trying to make the best out of some good feeling.

Chapter Fifteen: Werewolves of Fillydelphia

Things had not gone well in the last few days for Rainbow Dash. First she was turned into a Marewolf by her friend, then she was abruptly sent on a mission with Princess Luna to find Fluttershy. All the while, no one knew exactly what the kidnapper wanted, it could be a deep plot for all she knew.

Though she was hiding it well, Rainbow Dash was getting more and more nervous about Fluttershy. She worried about what horrible things that Omnitreza jerk may have been doing to Fluttershy. Perhaps horrible tests, or keeping her locked in a cage. All of this made Rainbow really want to beat the living crap out of the jerk.

On top of that, things were getting harder for Rainbow Dash were she was getting more and more random canine urges. The ground kept feeling better for her, and she kept loosing focus. Somehow it all reminded her of how Fluttershy acted for awhile at flight camp. She only hoped that these weird feelings would either go supside, or at least stop etting worse.

The other ponies seamed riled up, but not quite as nervous as Dash. She was unsure of whether or not they were just hiding it well, or just more confident about things. Heck, It may just be the lycanthropy messin' with my mind, maybe it's all easily fixable. thought Rainbow Dash.

For some reason, Luna organized for the five of them to stay at the upscale Fillydelphia Hotel for the night. Apparently the princess wanted to do somethings on her own first, which confused everypony as they settled in.

"I do respect her," said Rarity as she trotted into the large and upscale room they had been given, "But why does Princess Luna think we should be waiting any longer to getting to work? I mean, if she's just going off on her own, why even call us here?"

Twilight spoke up, "She's probably locating were exactly Omnitreza and Fluttershy are, besides, bringing the whole group of us on a spying mission would probably end disastrously."

Rarity sighed, "Even so, we still aren't sure how well our friend is holding up, while my business will suffer for the sudden time I am gone. I will have to get to work fast to finish all of my clients requests in time."

Applejack looked out the window over Fillydelphia, "Ah'm just worried sick about poor flutters, especially 'cause how distraught she still was about her affliction..."

Pinkie Hopped beside Applejack, "When I see her again, I am going to give her the biggest hug! That way she knows for sure I am still her friend! And I haven't let anypony down yet on that!"

Rainbow Dash huffed as she lied on a fancy coach, "When I see Omnitard again I am bucking his smooth mouth all the way to the moon."

"And I'm sure you will get that opportunity Dash." Said Twilight in a more optimistic mood.

The group now was getting more settled in to the room, as Rarity yawned, "Well, I'm going to turn in now, I hear the temperponic beds they have here are a dream compared to normal ones."

"Yeah, I'll hit the hay as well, no point in worrying our flanks off all night." replied Applejack, as she and Rarity went over to the bedrooms.

Pinkie yawned loudly, "Sound like a great idea! The faster I get my sleep in, the faster we can find Fluttershy!"

Rainbow Dash sighed in a bit of frustration, as she laid on the coach still, tail flipping back and forth with annoyance. Twilight noticed this, and was worried about her too, considering the recent events.

"Rainbow, how are you doing?" asked Twilight.

Rainbow Dash looked up at Twilight, "What kind of question is that? I'm fine."

Twilight sighed, "Look, I know your going through a lot, and your worrying your head off about Fluttershy, I am too, I am just worried how your handling it. Not too mention, your a lycan now... that's got to be a lot of weight for one pony."

Rainbow sat up, "Twilight, I can handle my own baggage fine! I am hard boiled enough so I don't need as much support as others ponies, I am tough enough to deal with this, Alright?"

"I'm not saying your anything less than tough," replied Twilight, "But any pony would have something bottled up from all of this. Your best friend has been kidnapped, and your cursed with something many of us thought didn't exist until recently! I just want to make sure you don't break down from trying to carry all of that on your own."

Rainbow looked down, "I know what you mean Twilight... You care an all, but I jut need to think for awhile."

"Alright, but don't loose too much sleep Dash, we will need you tomorrow." said Twilight, as she now stood up and began heading for the other bedroom, "And tell me if you start to feel especially weird, The full moon is comming in a few days, and we don't know how you will be affected soon."

"Alright Twilight, if I start turning into a dog, i'll howl for yah." said Rainbow with a smirk, "Just get some shut eye."

Twilight giggled, "Goodnight Rainbow."

"Stop..... Stop now...."

Princess Luna's eyes darted from left to right. She had just trailed energy of changelings to this broad location in the woods near Fillydelphia. It was dark, and the moon was waxing. Now, Luna thought she heard a voice, heaven forbid the she was talking again.

"Your mission is FUTilE... It will... collapse..."

Alright, that's not her, but it is still damn creepy. Luna took a deep breath, knowing that there might be a curse in this area to prevent trespassers.

"I can see your... peculiar dreamscape... like you see others..."

"Can you hear me?" asked Luna flatly, trying to purge emotion away, so whatever this voice was, it couldn't tear at her.

"Your moon, it is lovely... but you shouldn't try to stop what it does... I know what you want... "

"Omnitreza, Where is Fluttershy. Tell me now and this will be easier for you." Said Luna outloud.

"She's a tough nut... still has her own... issues..."

"Where is she?" asked Luna firmly.

"She is very umbrella... I can think of... so many.... I can't... relate..."

Luna glared at her surroundings, the voice now sounded as lost as she was.

"You have no idea what your doing, do you Omnitreza?"

"Omnitreza is old... almost as old as... fire... fire... paper, literature..."

Luna grunted, this was getting her nowhere, but it appeared she found the general area to search, though it was wide, it may take a few days, time she didn't have.

"I'm not suposed to talk... yet... I don't know why... just facts... no feelings..."

"It's been nice talking," said Luna sarcastically, as she began flying away, "But I have better things to do than talk to a shell."

"Talking... a verb... i'd like it.... if I did like things... I might like a full moon.. right now... you can make that happen"

"As if." replied Luna coldly.

"You never know... things can change... in short slumber..."

Luna rolled her eyes, and took off back to Fillydelphia.

Rainbow Dash opened her eyes, and groaned. It was 1:12 a.m., but for some reason, she kept waking up about every hour. The clock on the wall became a familiar site as such. The coach still felt like the best place to be, for some reason she didn't want to go to the bed. With that, she was becoming rather annoyed, as she found it hard to sleep, as her body felt warm, and her leg muscles were sore. It actually felt like growing pains, from when she was a filly.

"Hmm..." mumbled Rainbow Dash as she sat up and threw the blanket off, "All pony... good."

Rainbow groaned, and looked around the dark room. She felt little desire to sleep, but she knew she should. Outside, the city made a steady noise of clomping hooves every so often, with the sounds of the bar not to far down the street still going. This would't be too noticeable if it weren't for the silence in the room.

Rainbow Dash stood up and went to the window, opening it to take a look around. It was surreal, the city looked neat from the skyline, but the streets looked cruddy compared to ponyville. She half wondered how those ponies in the bar could stay up so late acting like their life is a party.

"I guess they aren't in such a tough spot..." she mumbled, which is a bit weird, no one is around to talk to, "Maybe I could join em for a bit, apple cider doesn't sound too bad.

Then the sounds of trotting came to her ears, and with a look down, she saw a teenage looking earth pony milling about. He looked kind of like a bum, but still had a healthy body. In fact, she had a weird attraction to it, but not like a he was hot or anything, something else. He seemed to be working on taking out the trash, when the smell fo blood hit Rainbow's nose.

"Ow, damn broken glass, why is betty such a clutz?" said the pony, wiping his hoof on a rag.

Rainbow was overwelmed with that smell, she was also kind of hungry, maybe she could just fly down real quick, he wouldn't see her until...

"OH GOD!" Yelped Rainbow in suprise, as she jumped back into the room.

She rubbed her eyes real quick, then ran to the small bathroom. With a look in the mirrior, she sighed, as she wasn't changing. "That.. was horrible..." Rainbow stopped talking with a look at her teeth. She was stone cold scared now, as she slowly opened her mouth, revealing sharp canines on both sides.

"Oh... is that... please don't be." said Rainbow to herself, visibly scared.

Rainbow opened her mouth again to get a closer look, she wasn't sure if that was the only part that had changed yet, but she was shivering at the thought. It had not hit her yet how that might feel, how much pain it'd be, how she'd keep from hurting anypony.

"I almost pounced on a pony, and my teeth are sharp as a dogs... maybe I should wake TwilIGHT!"

Rainbow clenched her lip as her body stiffened up completely out of nowhere, she could barely move, as all of her muscles were in pain. She fell to the ground with the feeling of uncontrollable convulsions, as she could only clench her teach at the pain through her body. After a few moments, it started to subside, as she pulled herself beck to the mirror.

"Tw-wilight!" Stuttered Rainbow Dash, as she shivered.

Please don't let me change! It's not the full moon yet! Thought Rainbow Dash, as her muscles felt unnerved. The shivering seamed to subside a bit however. Upon getting a better look at herself in the mirror, her ears were furrier, and her fur all around was longer and darker, that was about it.

With a few deep breathes, she was able to trot out of the bathroom now, but everything was still sore. Twilight then came out of one of the two bedrooms.

"Rainbow, you alright? I thought I heard something." said Twilight yawning afterwards.

"No..." replied Rainbow, feeling her head, "I don't feel right... at all..."

Twilight trotted up to her quickly, and felt her forehead, "Your temp is high... I think your ears are different too... Oh dear, how do you feel?"

Rainbow sat down, "I just stiffened up a minute or too ago, it got less painful... but i'm still sore all over."

Twilight looked to the window, and shut the curtain with magic, "Alright Rainbow, that may be it if where lucky. But I think I should keep and eye on you just in case."

Rainbow sighed, "Yes, please... this is just scarier than I thought... No wonder Flutters was so distruaght about it."

"Yes, I know, it's painful." said Twilight as she lead Rainbow to the coach.

"NO, I think I almost pounced on a pony! I was thinking about... Ugg!" Said Rainbow, with visible shame.

Twilight sat Rainbow on the coach, "It's not you, it's that curse."

"I know..." replied Rainbow, "but please tie me down.. I don't want to risk anything now."

Twilight nodded her head, and in a few moments, Rainbow Was tied to the coach, not too tightly though.

"I'll be out here, if you feel anything else, just say it."

"Thanks Twi... I just want to find Fluttershy though... I won't let this get in my way." replied Rainbow Dash.

It was another normal afternoon in Ponyville. Rainbow Dash was sleeping on the job, Rarity was fussing over a request from another celebrity, Pinkie Pie was planning a party she was throwing the next day, Applejack was figuring out how much the family had to sell, and Twilight was reading a book.

Fluttershy’s situation, however, was a lot less normal.

"A-A-Angel! Step away from that bed!" stuttered the very frightened pegasus.

Angel just looked at her with a Really? look, as he hopped over to the bed.

"Noooo!" Yelled Fluttershy, covering her eyes as the bunny lifted the bedsheet, revealing an weasel stuffing up all sorts of random items together.

Fluttershy released a large sigh, "Oh, it is just you! I thought the movement was the boogiemare."

Angel face-palmed, then proceeded to demand his afternoon snack.

"Oh, right, right." said Fluttershy, as she got a rather overgrown carrot and plopped it in front of Angel.
After recovering from yet another false alarm, Fluttershy finished feeding all of the critters, massaging the bear, and cleaning up the house.

She finally sat on her couch, and began thinking about anything she may have missed. I fed the bunnies, birds and bees, cleaned up the house, then, I feel like I am forgetting something...

She looked around, and then stared at the calendar for about a minute, when a sudden wave of realization hit her.

"Oh No No No No No NO! How could I forget that!" Yelled Fluttershy as she ran up to the calendar for a closer look. The next day was circled with a big red circle, of which she knew what it meant.

Fluttershy quickly ran to get her saddlebag, and muttered while doing so. "I hope I am not too late! It should still be there, right?"

Angel stared at Fluttershy awkwardly as she frantically gathered multiple things, including a small garden shovel, and an odd glass container.

"Don't worry Angel, I will be back in a little bit." she said before heading out her back door.

In return, Angel shrugged, and returned to his meal.

Fluttershy trotted up toward the Everfree forest, and took a deep breath, before heading in.

"It's alright, I just need to get in, get the plant, get out. Oh please still be there."

Fluttershy trotted quickly down the narrow path, trying her best to ignore how the day seemed to be sucked away in the trees, looking more like night. After a few minutes of trotting down the spooky path, she came up to a dark cave.

"Okay, here I go!" she said while slowly stepping in.

As she walked, Fluttershy's hoof hit a rock, causing both a noise from it and a panic from her.
The frightened pegasus pressed herself against the cave wall, "It's nothing, it's nothing, it's nothing!"

As Fluttershy opened her eyes, she saw a light further into the cave.

"Is that? I think it is!" she said while heading faster and faster into the light.

Upon reaching it, Fluttershy was met with another cave opening. This one led out to a odd meadow, which did not seem like something that should be in the Everfree forest.

Fluttershy smiled, and trotted into it, but her hopes were smashed in an instant when she saw that one patch of flowers, the one she was after, had already died. The large crescent shaped patch was now a shriveled, rather depressing plot of dead plants, seaming separate from the rest of the exotic flowers in this odd meadow.

"No No No No No NO!" She said, running up to the dead flowers.

"Please let there be at least one left! Oh no, this is bad! W-What do I do now?" said Fluttershy staring at the dead flowers, hoping for at least one to be left.

After a few minutes of desperately looking, she did not find any left. With her hopes crushed, Fluttershy pressed against a nearby tree, and started to cry a little.

"Now what? And it’s tomorrow too! I have to think of something..."

---------------------An hour later at Sugarcube Corner-----------------------
Pinkie Pie hopped around her friends, going on and on about the things she had planned for the mid-spring party the next day. They all were gathered here earlier for the planning of this occasion, although Pinkie was doing most of the planning.

"The big cake will be right over there! Oh, and our pets can hang out right over there! Then after an hour or two of fun, we will..."

Twilight interrupted Pinkie "Maybe you should keep some of this for a surprise tomorrow."

Pinkie gasped "That is a GREAT idea!"

Everypony else in the room sighed in relief, and Rainbow Dash said: "Okay, so now can I have the eclair I ordered?"

"Sure thing, Dashie!" said Pinkie Pie, jumped behind the counter.

Applejack nudged Twilight on the shoulder "Have yah seen Fluttershy today? She still hasn't showed up."

Twilight looked around "No I haven't. Maybe she’s just busy, you know how she is sometimes."

Suddenly, Fluttershy came in the front door, slowly trotted up to the table, and sat down next to the others.

"Where’ve yah been Fluttershy?" asked Applejack.

"Yea, you already missed Pinkie's plan for the party tomorrow." said Rainbow Dash.

"I can repeat it if you want!" said Pinkie as she jumped over the counter and plopped a eclair in front of Rainbow Dash.

Fluttershy looked away, "Um, about that, I am afraid I won't be able to come..."

Twilight looked at Fluttershy, rather puzzled. "Yesterday you said that tomorrow was a good day. what came up?"

Fluttershy looked down, "U-Uh, Nothing, I mean, something did! And, I-I-I... I just can't come..."

Rainbow Dash took a rather large bit of the eclair, and asked "Why not? You have to have a reason!"

"Is there anything we can help with?" Applejack added.

Fluttershy quickly responded. "No, no, I-I can't say... I just won't be able to come."

Pinkie trotted over to Fluttershy, "Well, if you can't make it, I’ll postpone the party till the next day!"

"No, that's fine, you all can have fun. There is just something I need to do," said Fluttershy.

"Come now, I won't mind if I have to wait a day. We all can wait until you can come." said Rarity.

Fluttershy looked at everypony for the first time since coming in, "I wouldn't want to be a bother..."

"It's fine Fluttershy, we don't mind waiting one day." reassured Twilight.

Fluttershy looked around. "Are you sure? I mean, I won't mind too much..."

"Nah! We're waiting till y’all can make it too." said Applejack with a wink.

Fluttershy smiled a bit, "Well, thanks a lot, it means a lot to me... but I have to go now."

"No sweat Flutters!" said Rainbow Dash, as Fluttershy quickly got up and left.

Applejack watched her leave before turning to her friends. "Something seems to be buggin’ her," she said.

Twilight replied, "I don't know, maybe something embarrassing came up and she couldn't come."

Everypony was silent for a few moments, before Pinkie broke this silence. "Alright! Now I have more time to plan things! See yah!"

Chapter 1: The Secret

It was getting late. The moon was nearly full, but not quite. Fluttershy sat next to the window as she watched it with anticipation of the next day. She looked over to a small flask of grey potion that glowed slightly in the dark sitting on the windowsill.

"For an emergency, otherwise, I’ll need to go without any of this for the next six months..." mumbled Fluttershy to herself.

Fluttershy picked up the small vial, and took it to a locked cupboard in the kitchen. She had a rather unpleasant feeling, resulting from how much she was worrying. With only one dose of this left for the next six months, she would have to change...

After a few moments of waiting, Fluttershy decided to go to bed for the night, checking on Angel and the other animals before she lied down in her bed. It took a bit of effort to sleep and get her mind off of her worries, but eventually, with the calming sounds of the critters sleeping about, she grew tired and fell to sleep.

For most ponies, the next day was going rather smoothly. It had been about 8 days since an "incident" had occurred, as shown on the Town Hall's factory-like sign. Mayor Mare was a little anxious about that, expecting a disaster any day now.
Fluttershy had gotten up early, cleaned up, washed her mane, and had all of the animals taken care of by the time the sun rose. All of this done in a way similar to Twilight Sparkle’s usual OCD fashion.

"There you go Angel, that should last till tomorrow morning!" said Fluttershy as she trotted away, content with a mountain of rabbit food she had left in Angels food bowl.

Angel eyed the mountain of food confusedly, and with a yawn, decided to go back to sleep. He really did not know why or care why Fluttershy was up and about so early.
Fluttershy returned to a check list she had prepared on the coffee table, and pulled a pencil out of her frazzled hair.

"Twilight was right, this checklist stuff does help! Now all I need to do now is get the new bird nests from Rarity, and then make sure I’m alright for … it."

Fluttershy shook her head and readily grabbed her empty saddlebag. The critters came around her curiously, but she calmed them down and headed out.

Upon arrival at Rarity's boutique - and after a rather calm walk there - Fluttershy knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Asked Rarity.

"It's me, Fluttershy."

Rarity opened the door revealing a rather messy look to her mane, "Fluttershy, what brings you here this morning?"

Fluttershy pushed her hoof along the ground "I was hoping you had those new bird nests done, if that is fine."

Rarity thought for a second, "Oh right! Come along darling."

Fluttershy followed her inside as Rarity went upstairs to retrieve the nests, and waited for her to come down from upstairs.

"Now I have most of them done..." started Rarity, before almost tripping down the stairs.

Fluttershy quickly flew up and helped rarity level the small stack of bird nests.
Rarity then continued "But those Eagles nests are hard work, I still need to get the right size twigs, but they should be done by tonight. You know I never understood why they think they have to have such huge nests."

"Oh, it’s not a problem." said Fluttershy while carefully putting the nests in her bag.

"I could bring them to you tonight..." started Rarity, but suddenly, Fluttershy interrupted her.

"NO!" she yelped, dropping a birds nest, "I-I-I mean, it can wait till tomorrow." she added, picking up and nest she’d just dropped.

Rarity stared at Fluttershy with a puzzled look. "Well, it wouldn’t be much, considering how much you help me with Opal."

Fluttershy quickly replied "No! I-It is actually very important that nopony comes by my house tonight!"

Rarity looked at Fluttershy, noticing that she was shaking and looking side to side in a suspicious way.

"Fluttershy, I think I know what’s going on." said Rarity with a poker face.

"Y-Y-You d-do?" asked Fluttershy, starting to sweat now.

"Yes, it seems pretty obvious to me." replied Rarity.

Fluttershy gulped "P-Please, I-It's not my fault!"

Rarity gazed at Fluttershy with yet another puzzled look, "Of course it is, and you’re too kind. You’re keeping a creature from the Everfree at your place tonight, aren't you?"

Fluttershy took a big sigh of relief, "Y-Yes! But please don't tell anypony, I don't want to, uh, startle somepony."

Rarity pretended to zip her lips shut, then winked. Fluttershy winked back in return, and finished packing the birds nests. With a quick goodbye, she headed out the door.

Fluttershy let out another sigh, then muttered to herself "Although this creature is very dangerous..."

After a long day of work, Applejack took her dog Winona out for a walk through town. As she went, she gathered a few groceries at the market. It was all going smoothly, yet Winona was extra energetic at the time being, sometimes getting in the way. As Applejack walked up to a vendor to get a few oranges, she did not notice Winona staring intensely at a nearby bird.

The bird noticed Winona, and sweated a little. In return, Winona growled, making the bird shake in fright. Then Winona charged, and the bird flew full speed in the opposite direction.

"Winona! Bad girl!" yelled Applejack as she dropped her bits and chased after her dog.

Winona ignored Applejack out of excitement, and chased the bird down the street. She managed to go under multiple ponies, trip the Mayor, bump through a congregation around some sort of show, and break a mirror. Applejack followed close behind, apologizing to everypony on the way.

"My word!" said some stuck up pony.

"What is your word?" asked Derpy as Applejack ran by.

Eventually, the bird flew across a road near Twilight's house, and Winona continued after it.

"Winona, WAIT!" Shouted Applejack.

Disregarding her owner, Winona continued running. She then suddenly was knocked to the side of the road from from being hit by a carriage moving at high speeds. Applejack quickly ran up to her wounded dog as she started to whimper.

"Come on girl, you know better than this!" said Applejack as she investigated Winona.

Twilight heard the noise, and quickly came out of her door, "What is going on out here?"

"Winona got hit by a carriage!" shouted Applejack.

She went back inside, and quickly came back out with a basket the size of Winona.

"Take her inside, and I’ll go get some help. I think Fluttershy can handle this." said Twilight

"I hope so." Replied Applejack as she lifted her wounded pup into the basket.

Fluttershy was finishing cleaning out her basement. The door to it was rather heavy so she hoped it would hold, although considering it was taken out of a prison, it should not have too much trouble.

Coming upstairs, she looked out the window as the sun started to set.

"Oh, no..." muttered Fluttershy fearfully.

Suddenly, she heard frantic knocking on her door. With a squeak, she quickly pushed an old bookshelf in front of the basement door.

"W-Who is it?" Asked Fluttershy in a startled tone.

"Twilight!" replied Twilight, who definitely sounded like Twilight. Fluttershy figured it was probably Twilight, considering Twilight sounds like Twilight, not too mention she has a book called Twilight.

Fluttershy approached the door. "I’m kind of … busy … right now, can this wait?"

Twilight quickly replied. "Winona got hit by a carriage, and I was hoping you could help."

Fluttershy looked out the window, and back to the door. She did not want to risk it, but under no circumstances could she leave an animal in pain. Thoughts raced through her head, but in the end, she decided to hurry and go help.

"I’ll be right there!" she said, grabbing her bag and a small animal first aid kit.

A few minutes later, Fluttershy and Twilight came into Ponyville’s library panting. Applejack looked over and came up to them, as Spike stayed by Winona.

"Fluttershy! Ah'm sorry I need you here, but Winona won't let me close enough to her wounds to deal with them right!" apologized Applejack.

Fluttershy looked across the room at Winona, and replied, "It's fine, this should not take long."

Applejack moved as Fluttershy quickly came up to Winona, "Oh you poor thing, your leg’s all smashed up! Just give me a few minutes here."

Fluttershy reached into her bag, and pulled out a neosporin-like spray, disinfecting the open wounds. She then readily got out a pair of sticks to use as a cast substitute. Then she readied some bandage and cut off the proper length to wrap around the leg. She then put on a doctor-like mask, and began applying bag-balm and bandages.

After multiple moments of operating, Fluttershy trotted back to Applejack. "Okay, I have her all patched up, just make sure she doesn't hurt herself until that leg heals, which will take some time. And give her lot's of water."

"Ah can't thank yah enough Fluttershy!" said Applejack as she trotted over to Winona.

Twilight turned to Fluttershy, "Good job Fluttershy, you really know how to take care of animals."

"Yea, your a miracle worker!" Added Spike.

"Yea, I can't leave any animal in pain." replied Fluttershy.

"Why don't you stay for some tea?" asked Twilight.

Fluttershy thought for a second, and with a look out the window at the sunset, she replied with "Oh no!"

"What is it?" Asked Twilight.

"I-I just have to go, now!" Said Fluttershy, as she started heading for the door.

"But can't you stay for..." started Applejack

"No! I just have to go now!" interrupted Fluttershy, right before having a sudden pain in her head.

"Why? Did you forget something?" asked Twilight.

"No, yes, I mean..." Started Fluttershy, but she just felt her head, and ran out the door without another word.

Applejack trotted up to Twilight, "Something is up with her..."

Twilight responded "Yeah, maybe we should make sure she is alright."

Applejack looked around, and said "Oh, she even forgot her saddlebag!"

Twilight trotted over and picked up the bag, "We should take this back, it is the least we could do. Spike, watch the fort for me!"

Fluttershy bursted into her door and quickly shut and locked it behind her. Outside, the sun was mostly set, and inside her critters were all cautiously heading towards their own beds. Angel hopped up and eyed Fluttershy as she frantically looked around, starting to sweat and shiver.

Fluttershy stopped herself, and took a few deep breaths trying to calm down, "It's fine, it's fine, I just need to lock myself up! Yeah, that's what I was going to do … Ow!"

Fluttershy rubbed her head, her headache rapidly getting worse as she started to shiver more.

"Oh no, oh no! Angel! Make s-sure all the other critters stay out of the basement!" said Fluttershy as she began moving the bookshelf out from covering her basement door.

Suddenly, knocking came at the door, along with Twilight's voice "Fluttershy! You left you saddlebag at my house! Fluttershy!"

Thinking quickly, Fluttershy flew over and shut the curtains, "J-J-J.... Uh, J-Just leave it o-on a b-bush or something!"

Applejack replied through the door "Are yah alright? You sound kind of sick."

"I-I’m fine!" replied Fluttershy as she pressed against the door, and she began shaking more, "J-Just l-leave now, p-p-please!"

Twilight replied "Are you sure you’re alright? We can help!"

Fluttershy started to reply, but looked at a nearby mirror, and gave an "Eeep!", as her eyes were starting to change color, and her hair was beginning to grow out.

"Fluttershy!? Let us in! we can help!" said Twilight.

"No, No, NO! L-l-l-leave! Gah!" Replied Fluttershy, with the headache getting even worse now, and her muscles tensed up as she shivered more.

"Alright! Something is up, ah'm coming in!" said Applejack through the door.

Fluttershy ran back to the other side of the room "No! Y-You can't help! J-J-Just leave! Before..."

Suddenly Applejack kicked the door open, and turned to see Fluttershy shaking at the other side of the room.

"What's wrong?" asked Applejack as she ran up.

Fluttershy quickly covered her face with her wing, "N-nothing, uh, S-s-somthing! But you can't do anything! I-I-I'm... Arg!"

Twilight rushed up beside Applejack and felt the side of Fluttershy's head, "Fluttershy! your temperature is through the roof! You need to go to a docter now!"

Fluttershy replied "T-That won't help it! Arg! Move this bookshelf!"

Twilight and Applejack exchanged puzzled looks, then Fluttershy allowed a bit of her eye to show "Just do it!"

Thinking quickly, Applejack pushed the bookshelf to the side, knocking it over, and revealing a prison like door.

"What is this for?" asked Twilight staring at the door in surprise.

Without answering, Fluttershy took the key out of the door, went in, and slammed the door shut, locking it.

"Fluttershy! What in tarnation are yah doing?!" yelled Applejack.

Fluttershy backed away from the door slowly, and moaned a lot, "P-P-Please, you can't do anything, t-there isn't much time left, j-just leave! I d-don;t want you t-t-to see..."

Twilight tried to open the door without success, "You just need a doctor!"

"No! I-I-I, I'm, I-I'm... ARG!" said Fluttershy before groaning more.

"What are you trying to say?" asked Applejack trying too look into the dark room.
Rather than an answer, Twilight and Applejack received a blood curdling scream from the dark room.

"Fluttershy! What is wrong?! I can't see a thing!" Said Twilight, as she quickly used a spell to illuminate the dark room.

Once the room was light, Twilight and Applejack shared a unison "WHAT THE BUCK!?"

Fluttershy was lying on the floor, with her hair grown all out, and visible canines growing. When she looked back at them, her eyes were yellow, and she said "J-J-Just, G-Go! B-Before... Arg!" before letting out another scream. Fluttershy grabbed her head in apparent pain, as her body changed more.

Twilight and Applejack watched in horror as their timid friend slowly turned into a frightening monster. Her hair grew out and darkened to a dark grey, while her mane and tail turned a dark red. Her wings grew out longer, and the ends of the feathers grew out, turning the same color as her new mane. The ends of her hooves then split up, and turned into large paws.

After a few moments, their friend resembled a large frightening pony-wolf mix.
Twilight sat there in shock, and took a deep breath, before asking "F-Fluttershy, are you alright?"

The monster looked up slowly. For a second, it gave an innocent gaze, but it quickly became an angry stare as the beast lunged at the door with a loud roar.

Twilight and Applejack flew back from the door in shock. Luckily, Fluttershy was being held back by the strong bars.

"Fluttershy?! What happened to you?!" asked Applejack in a scared tone.

All Applejack received was a loud howl, startling all the critters in the cottage. Angel quickly hid behind Twilight while shivering in fear, and the rest of the critters ducked into any hidden place they could.

Twilight, meanwhile, seemed to have a much better idea of what was going on than Applejack, as she stared at Fluttershy with awe.

"No, that’s impossible!" Twilight then looked out the window, seeing the full moon. "That was just a myth!"

Chapter 2: Sorry about that...

All was quiet in Ponyville that night, except for in Fluttershy's cottage.

Twilight paced back and forth in near shock, mumbling on and on about what she just saw. On the other side of the room Applejack was doing nothing else than sit back in confusion.

"What, the, HAY, just happened?!" asked Applejack, hoping for some sort of explanation from Twilight.

Twilight just turned back to her, "Uh... the closest thing... would be that she is a marewolf..."

Applejack replied "A marewolf?! Yah mean like from those horror fictions?"

Twilight nodded, "But I thought they were just make-believe, but, it's the only possible explanation."

From the locked up basement, Fluttershy continued to attempt to break out through the wall, door, and even floor. The bars bent slightly from the ramming, but held tight enough. After a little while, she eventually gave up for a bit. Angel hopped a little closer to the door, and stared in confusion.

Applejack sat in the living room quiet while Twilight paced restlessly. Eventually, Applejack asked "Twilight, how could it be possibly she is a creature from fiction? Especially considering we all have seen her out and about during full moons."

"I have been thinking about that, maybe she was bit by another marewolf recently..." replied Twilight.

"Then why wouldn't she come to us for help?" asked Applejack.

"I don't know." replied Twilight.

Applejack looked into the dark room Fluttershy was in, and asked "So, what do we do? We can't just leave her like this."

Twilight trotted up to Applejack, "According to the stories, she should turn back to normal in the morning, but, I think we should stay to make sure."

Applejack stood there silently for a moment, then backed towards a nearby couch, "Well alrighty then..."

The next couple hours that passed went on somewhat quietly, as every so often Fluttershy attempted to bust out again. This went on until eventually, very late, Twilight and Applejack found themselves falling asleep.

The next morning, Applejack awoke to sunlight coming through the windows, and multiple critters in the cottage starting to fuss and make noise. Everything had the atmosphere of morning bliss, as all the animals seemed calm.

With a yawn, she sat up and looked around. "What am ah doing here? oh yeah... I thought that was a dream, FLUTTERSHY!"

Applejack ran over to the prison-like door, and looked in. "Fluttershy! Are you in there?"

Suddenly, Twilight came up behind Applejack with a yawn. "I think I can open this, give me a second."

With a light glow from Twilight's horn, and a spark on the lock, the door opened. Twilight and Applejack carefully walked in as Twilight lit up the room. With that, they saw Fluttershy passed out breathing rather heavily in the middle of the floor.

Applejack trotted up to her, "Ah think she is all normal again, not well, but normal."

Twilight came up, "It seems so, Let's move her somewhere more confortable till she comes too. Hopefully she can explain what that was."

With that, Twilight lifted Fluttershy up with her magic, and took her out into the main living area, and sat her on the couch. Applejack then readily covered her up with a blanket, and sat next to her.

"You really scared me." said Applejack quietly.

About half an hour later, Fluttershy began to stir. She slowly opened her eyes, and sat up. Her mane was all messed up, and she had a weary look to her eyes.

"Fluttershy!" said Twilight while quickly coming over to her.

"Are yah alright?" asked Applejack.

Fluttershy rubbed her head, noticing a strange tension in her muscles. She turned to Applejack in slight surprise, "I think so... Why are you two here? Wait! Y-Y-You didn't see, a-anything last night, uh, did you?"

Everypony in the room sat in a awkward silence for the next full minute staring at each other. Eventually, Fluttershy broke the silence with "Oh dear... I-I can explain!"

Twilight cleared her throat, "If you could, that would be nice... If I am not mistaken, you turned into a, Marewolf, last night..."

Another awkward silence hit, with Fluttershy apparently trying to sink into the coach.

"Y-Yes, sort of... sorry about that..."

"Well, why didn't you tell us, that y'know, you’re a, Lycan..." asked Applejack awkwardly.

Fluttershy looked away, "I meant for no one to find out... That's the first time I've changed in a while..."

Twilight trotted up closer, "Well, when did you get, bit, or whatever. I mean, I know you have been out and about other full moons."

Fluttershy wanted to shrink away at this point, and she started to ball up, "I-I have this potion... it keeps me from... y'know..."

Applejack quickly asked "Well if so, why didn't yah take it last night?!"

Fluttershy started to tear up a bit, "I-I-I sort of, ran out... I can make more, but, the flower it comes from, it isn't in season..."

"Well why didn't you ask us for help? I am sure Zecora might have something!" said Twilight.

Fluttershy could not handle it any longer, her eyes teared up, and she just ran past Applejack and Twilight, and up to her bed.

"Good going Twi." said Applejack.

Twilight groaned, "Why does this have to be so hard?"

Fluttershy ran to her bed, curled up in the blanket, and began to cry into the pillow. She more or less wanted to just be alone for a thousand years right now, as she never really wanted to deal with this. Some of the birds and bunnies came up to her side, attempting to comfort her.

Fluttershy just looked up for a second, "No, just leave! You all would be better off...", immediately after she stuffed her face in the pillow again.

A few minutes later, Twilight came up and opened the door to her room, "Fluttershy, I'm sorry, I just need to know if I can help you."

Fluttershy lifted her head from the pillow for a second, "There isn't anything that can be done... I am just, a monster..."

Applejack came in slowly, and Twilight responded "Now just because you have a curse does not mean you’re a monster!"

"Has anyone ever called a lycan anything other than a monster?!" replied Fluttershy, before stuffing her face back into the pillow.

Applejack spoke up "Yes, like their friend, or the kindest pony around!"

Fluttershy simply sank further into her bed, and sobbed more.

"Come on Fluttershy, it is not like we’re going to throw you into the Everfree or anything." said Twilight.

Applejack hit Twilight lightly on the shoulder, "What Twilight means is we are still your friends, nothing has changed."

Fluttershy looked up, "No, nopony would ever want to be friends with a monster like me!"

Applejack quickly retorted "Stop saying that y'all are monster! If you were really one, I am sure you would not take care of all these critters, or have such good friends!"

Fluttershy slowly began to sit up, "I-I don't understand..."

Twilight spoke up "You just need to look at things the way you have before, this doesn't change anything!"

Fluttershy gave a small smile, and with a few moments of though, said "I-If you want to know, I can tell you how it happened..."

Twilight nodded, and Fluttershy continued, "I told you before, about how I got my cutiemark, it was the day I discovered the magic of nature and the animals... Well that night... I had not found my way back to cloudsdale yet......"

"Where are you going little ones?" asked a fairly young Fluttershy as the night came about.

One of the rabbits motioned her towards it, and when she followed, Fluttershy was presented with a cozy little rabbit home dug into the ground.

"Oh this is just wonderful! Did you all set this up yourselves?"

All of the little critters nodded, and Fluttershy smiled back. She began petting a few of them, and cozying up. Then outside, she heard a howl.

"What is that?" asked Fluttershy heading toward the entrance.

Multiple rabbits quickly tugged on her tail, and gestured for her to not go outside, as another howl came.

"Don't worry, I just want to see what animal is making that noise." said the filly Fluttershy as she headed out.

In the moonlight night, Fluttershy trotted slowly into the forest, when a howl that was really close came. Fluttershy flew over towards where she heard it, and found herself next to the stream she saw earlier. She trotted over to the stream and looked around curiously.

"I wonder were that noise came from." she said out loud for some reason.

Then suddenly, a loud roar blasted her off her hooves. Fluttershy quickly pulled her head out of a bush, and turned to see a large wolf staring at her growling.

"Oh my! Aren't you just a big one!" said young Fluttershy as she nonchalantly flew over next to it, petting it behind the ear.

The wolf eyed her, but decided not to eat her right then and there because of how nice she was being to it. That and the ear scratching felt good.

"Oh, you like that!" said young Fluttershy as she scratched it behind the ear, "You’re just the biggest critter I have seen today, I just met a lot of them too."

The wolf loosened up a bit, and Fluttershy examined ho much larger it was. Not too mention it looked veyr odd compared to anything in school books. Suddenly, the wolf looked up, and in a startled manner turned and ran past Fluttershy.

"What was that about?" Asked young Fluttershy, not noticing right behind her, a dragon landing from the air, and slowly comming up to her.

Fluttershy felt a warmth behind her head, and turned around to see a giant, red eyed, large horned, dark scaled, and generally threatening looking dragon. And as she saw it, it roared the most fearsome roar one could think of.

Fluttershy flew back to the ground with a scream, and the dragon pounced at her. But second before it had her in it's mouth, that same wolf she saw a second ago knocked the dragon away and started attempting to maul it.

Fluttershy watched as the wolf clawed and bit at the dragon, and narrowly dodged its swiping. Fluttershy flew up closer, and said "Wait, can't we settle this a better way?"

Suddenly, right before the wolf was going to bite again, the dragon knocked it into fluttershy, causing it to chomp on her right foreleg.

"OW!" shrieked Fluttershy as the dragon approached closer.

Fluttershy covered her eyes in terror, right before the wolf picked her up by her tail and ran as fast as it could. When she opened her eyes, she saw a large fireball fly by and engulf a tree into flames. Then, the wolf tripped, and she flew into a hole, and rolled into the rabbit home again.

Fluttershy finished her small story, Applejack and Twilight stood there in thought.

"So that wolf was a... Lycan?" asked Applejack

Fluttershy nodded in return, and Twilight spoke up "So where did you get that potion?"

"The next morning, a search party from Cloudsdale found me, and my life returned to mostly normal for the next couple of weeks... Then, the next full moon, you can guess what happened..." replied Fluttershy.

Twilight replied "Yea..."

Fluttershy continued, "Then after my parents found out, they looked for a solution, and eventually found out about this potion from the 'luna's glory' flower."

After a few moments, Applejack spoke up, "Ah think ah better go home and take care of things, are you alright for now Fluttershy?"

"Yes, of course, I think I ought to get started on my daily chores too." replied Fluttershy "But... please don't tell anypony."

Applejack replied "My lips are sealed. See y'all later, I guess."

Twilight followed up, "Yea, Spike is probably wondering where I have been. Don't worry, I won't tell anypony."

Fluttershy nodded, and her friends went out the door slowly.

"Well that went, well..." Said Applejack, "Considering."

"I guess so. And I will be doing some research on this..." replied Twilight.

"That sounds like a good idea, see yah." replied Applejack.

Chapter 12: The memory shared by the kind and the mad.

Fluttershy was instantly knocked out, and stuffed into a large bag. Two Changelings tied the bag shut, as another came into the window.

"You got the wolf?" it asked with a raspy voice.

"Yep, we need to get going now before the camp leaves!" replied another as it lifted the bag and went downstairs.

The other two quickly cleaned up the smashed glass, and covered the window with a curtain. Then with speed they followed the other one downstairs and out the back door. Upon opening it, the three changelings flew to the forest with haste, confusing all of the critters.

Just a few seconds later, Applejack and Rainbow Dash headed down the path to Fluttershy's cottage.

"How do yah think she is?" asked Applejack.

Rainbow Dash flew up to the door, "I'm sure she can get over it." before she knocked on the door.

A few seconds passed without any noise, and Rainbow Dash knocked again.

"Fluttershy! Fluttershy!" yelled Rainbow Dash, "Are you home?"

Applejack looked in the window to see a mostly empty room, and said "Ah think we should go in and make sure she's not hurt or anything."

Rainbow Dash nodded, and flew into the door, bashing it open. She and Applejack trotted in and looked around.

"Fluttershy! Are y'all home?" yelled Applejack.

Rainbow Dash scoped around the room, She noticed a few mice sleeping in the corner, and for some reason was tempted to punce on them. When suddenly Applejack yelled "Rainbow! Check this out!"

Rainbow Dash jumped over to AJ, and saw an odd note. Applejack picked it up, when suddenly they heard a crash outside.

"What the hay?" asked Applejack as she went out the back door.

The two looked around, and Applejack's moath gaped as she saw a Changling being choked by Discord by the forest.

"What the double hay?!" Asked Applejack.

Discord continued interrogating the changeling, "Were did you take her?!?! This was NOT part of the agreement!"

Rainbow Dash flew up to Discord, "What's going on here?! Were's Fluttershy?"

Discord looked over at Rainbow Dash, and put the Changeling in a cookie jar, "Oh, sorry. It just appears these jerks took her. I was working on interrogating it, so if you would please excuse me..."

"They took her?!" Exclaimed Rainbow Dash, before she glared at the changeling and growled.

Discord patted Rainbow Dash's head, "Now now, i am working on it. No need to go all wolf on the poor defenseless bug."

Rainbow Dash glared, and she and Discord floated to the ground. Most of Fluttershy animals were more or less hiding from the two at this point.

"So were is she?" asked Applejack.

Discord shrugged, "I will find out, but you can't be getting involved just yet. I was just watching her making sure she wouldn't do anything stupid, which she almost did, and then three of these butt-hurts came and took her that direction."

The Changeling opened the top of the jar it was in, and tried to fly away, before it suddenly ended up in a large jello.

Discord then looked uncertainly at the ponies, and said, "Just stay out of it right now, I have to go."

-------------------Deep in the Everfree Forest--------------

Discord reappeared in a large detached train car, and sitting at a desk in it was Omnitreza, whom imediatly quit reading that cheesy romance novel named after a lavender Unicorn he found on the street.

"What do you want deity?" asked Omnitreza.

Discord dropped the changeling he stole on Omnitreza's desk, and said "That was NOT part of our agreement!"

Omnitreza chuckled, "You of all deity's should know that no matter what a contract says, one side can bend it."

Discord considered take him to the moon for a few seconds and back, but he just said "Yes, but I did not expect you to be as bold to steal Fluttershy. I mean, kidnapping? have you really lost your touch?"

"I need that pony," Said Omnitreza, "and unlike you, I don't have an immortal consciousness, so i want to get things done soon enough for me to leave my permanent mark, and then I will go forever."

Discord used the force to pick up Omnitreza, and held him close to his face "If you do ANYTHING to her, I will drop everything and make you suffer! Even if you do it!"

Omnitreza simply smiled, "I'm mentally unstable, i will end up doing whatever... And the fact i told you that shows how many bucks are given by me."

Discord dropped him, "How did you even get a hold of it?"

Omnitreza went back to his desk, "Magic, *Snort Snort*"

Discord laughed, then straightened out, "I'm trying to be serious!"

Omnitreza replied "Your the god of Chaos, and Equestria's number 1 prank maker for eternity, I highly doubt you can SERIOUSLY hold a serious conversation. Especially when the one your talking to has been diagnosed with a mental deficiency."

Discord growled, "When it is in the matter of my friend, you can believe it."

Omnitreza shrugged, "Too bad you let the princess trick you into falling for friendship. All you are to her now is a 'nuclear deterrent'."

Discord replied, "Just know, I will soon be able to take you out, and it will be the funnest thing I have ever done!"

Omnitreza chuckled, "And the little piggy will go wee all the way home."

Discord vanished, and Omnitreza stared at the Changeling now cowering in the corner.

"Look, Sjin, do me a favor and tell the others were ready to go to Fillydelphia. And PLEASE don;t get caught by another deity."

The Changeling nodded vigorously and ran out the door, leaving Omnitreza to himself, mostly. His car was filled with all sorts of clocks, of which carved by the "Bily Brothers". There were a few bookshelves, and at the far end from his desk, a large bookshelf.

The grean pony with the lock cutie mark, Omnitreza, pulled the book with a lock on it's side. This caused a classic move of which the bookcase lowered to reveal a room full of charms and magical jewels. In the center was a Emerald scepter, and when he touched it, He was warped to the dream of Fluttershy...

Young Fluttershy ran through the town of Ponyville. She had just run away due to what happened the last two months, and she wanted desperately to be cured. Her parents were likely searching for her now, But she did not care, she just trecked on to her destination.

She cried on the way through town, it was the afternoon, and a few ponies noticed her as she ran by. Eventualy, Fluttershy stopped by a fence, and took some deep breaths. She then saw a sign leading to the direction of the Hospital, and she instantly ran that direction.

Nurse Aloe, a middle aged earth pony female, was having a slow day this afternoon. She was the only one at the main counter, as hardly anypony new came in today.

She flipped through her magazine, and suddenly heard the door open. Nurse Aloe looked up curoisly, and suddenly a pink maned fily pegasus stood up the the counters in tears.

"Hey, hey! What's wrong" asked Nurse Aloe as she looked at Fluttershy slightly confused.

Fluttershy just wiped some tears, and tried to talk, "A-Are you the d-d-docter?"

Nurse aloe replied, "I'm a Nurse but I can help." as she came around the counter to Fluttershy, "What's wrong, are you hurt? Is a friend hurt?"

Fluttershy wheezed slightly from crying, and Nurse aloe patted her shoulder, "Calm down, and take deep breaths."

The young Fluttershy took a few deep breaths and wiped her tears away, before lifting up her right for-leg, "P0Please, can't you f-fix it? I d-don't want to hurt a-anypony anymore."

Nurse Aloe looked at Fluttershy's leg slightly perplexed, there was nothing wrong with it, no wound our nothing. She then asked, "What's wrong with your fore-leg? Does it hurt?"

Fluttershy gulped, "I-It, I-II hurt others, b-because i let m-myself get b-bit. I w-want to be n-normal."

Fluttershy then teared up more, and dug her head into Nurse Aloe, who just embraced her. She could not see anything wrong, but she figured the best thing would be to give her a hospital room and have her checked out.

"There there," said Nurse Aloe, "I will take you to one of our rooms, and a Doctor will be right with you."

Nurse Aloe did her best to get Fluttershy to explain what was wrong with her as she found her a room. She did find out she ran away, and figured they could get to her parents in the morning. Eventually Doctor Jewel came into the room to examine Fluttershy.

Nurse Aloe calmed her down long enough for the Doctor to get her pulse, temperature, and do a full physical.

"Good news, your perfectly healthy." said Doctor Jewel as he turned to Fluttershy, whom just held the same look of grief.

"I-I am not!" she rebutted looking up in tears, "Please look harder! I just want somepony to fix me before the moon comes out!"

"Fix you of what?" Asked Doctor Jewel.

Nurse Aloe replied, "I tried asking her, but she just said something about the moon, and loosing control..."

Fluttershy looked at the Doctor worryingly, and he said, "You don't suppose she might need mental health help? Perhaps when her parents arrive in the morning we can talk with them about it."

Nurse Aloe looked at Fluttershy, as she asked "Can I p-please stay her, for the night? I think it is one of those nights, Just please h-help me, i-if it is tonight."

Doctor Jewel replied "I guess that is fine. But I have other things to attend to right now. If you need any help," Doctor Jewel picked up the help button by the bed, "Just click this."

Young Fluttershy nodded, and held the button close, as Nurse Aloe came up to her and gave here a children's book called Caring Pooh, "You can read this if you can;t get to sleep just yet, alright?"

Fluttershy nodded, and the Nurse and Doctor left the room.

Nurse Aloe once again sat at the main entrance counter thinking about the yellow pegasus. The afternoon was waning, and the sun began to set. Then suddenly, Doctor Jewel came up to her putting on his jacket.

"Sorry Aloe," he started, "I got a home call. Can you take watch for the night?"

Nurse aloe shrugged, "Sure, I could use the overtime. It isn't like I have a family to attend to."

"Thanks!" said Doctor, as he headed out the door.

Not five minutes later did another pony enter. This time, it was a dark green pony with a black mane and a cutie mark of a old lock. He quickly came up to the Nurse, and asked "Do you have an X-Ray machine here?"

Nurse Aloe eyed him oddly, "Yeah..."

"Thank goodness! I am out of something I forgot to refill, and now I have no chance of getting back before nightfall. So can I use the lead room that should be next to the X-ray machine?" He said rather quickly.

"Wait," replied Nurse Aloe, "You want to use the lead room?"

The dark green pony replied, "I need to stay in it until morning, is that okay?"

Nurse Aloe stopped him, "What is your name?"

"Omnitreza," he said, as he pulled 500 bits out of his coat and threw it on the counter, "You can have that if I can stay in that lead room for the night."

Nurse Aloe stared at the money, and shrugged, before leading him to it. They went into the x-ray room, and she unlocked the lead walled and roof'd room beside the X-ray. Omnitreza went in and grabbed a lead blanket.

"Thanks, now I will pay more in the morning." he said, as Nurse Aloe shrugged again and left.

Nurse Aloe went to the main counter again, and began contemplating about what to do with that fellow who just came. She continued thinking, when suddenly a buzzing made her jump to her hooves. With a look at the patient room board, Fluttershy's was buzzing repeatedly.

Nurse Aloe quickly came into Fluttershy room, and saw the young Pegasus in panic, smashing the help button.

"What's wrong?" Asked Nurse aloe as she came up to Fluttershy.

Fluttershy was hyperventilating and shivering, "I-I-It's happening, f-fix me, p-please!"

Nurse Aloe felt Fluttershy's head, surprised by how warm she was. Nurse Aloe then immediately grabbed a wash cloths and poured cool water over it, then put it on Fluttershy's forehead.

"Alright, can you tell me if any part of your body hurts?" she asked.

Fluttershy felt her head, and groaned, "M-My head, l-like it has the last 3 m-months."

Nurse aloe was about to page for a doctor, when she noticed Fluttershy's ears begining to grow out.

"What the..." said nurse Aloe, and she said "What happened three months ago?"

Fluttershy grabbed held her stomach and rolled to her side, "I-I-I fell to t-the ground... f-from cloudsdale. T-then I was b-bit by a big w-wolf, and a d-dragon was t-there."

Nurse Aloe would have marked the patient as delusional, IF the patient was not changing form in front of her eyes.

"Okay, hang on, I will think of something!"

Suddenly, Omnitreza burst into the door wearing one of the lead blankets like a coat. Then quickly ran to the window and hut the curtains. Then he ran of to Fluttershy and felt her head.

"Get her to the X-Ray room!" said Omnitreza sternly.

"W-What?!" asked Nurse Aloe unsure of this feller, he looked rather cookoo.

"Just do it, She's a Marewolf! Yes like from those stories, No not like Twilight!" said Omnitreza.

Nurse Aloe, thinking quickly, picked up Fluttershy and said "Hang on!", before carrying her down the hall. Fluttershy's teath began to grow out, as her hide began changing color. Nurse Aloe burst into the X-ray room, and then went right to the small Lead room beside the X-ray.

"How do you feel?" asked Nurse Aloe as she came in.

Omnitreza came in right begin and shut the door. He then took off the lead blanket and put it on Fluttershy, whom began to shiver less.

Fluttershy replied, "Ugg, My head, i-it still hurts."

Omnitreza then spoke up, "Just keep her in her till morning, that should keep her from changing, although like me she may get a headache that feels as bad as a Migraine."

Nurse Aloe stare at young Fluttershy, her mane changed color back to it's original bright pink, and there weren't any canine's visible now.

Then she stared at Omnitreza, "W-Who are you?"

"Omnitreza, I work for Canterlot. I was searching for this one, I knew she was bitten by the one we almost lost... But right now..." He reached into his jacket, and pulled out a paper, "Give this to her parents when they come to get her. I may be risking my plans, but I don;t think I need to disrupt this ones life further than it already has been right now. This is instructions on how to get the ingredients and make a potion that should help."

Nurse Aloe took the paper, and nodded.

Omnitreza flew back to his own present state. He remembered that day clearly now, and actually felt bad it came to disrupting that filly's life.

"I thought I recognized her." he mumbled, "I guess she is dreaming of that memory pretty clearly though. Must be induced by recent events."

Omnitreza began feeling slightly guilty, but then he buried those feelings under that fact he is loosing his mind, and he has less time than he thought to get it done. So, he decided to himself what he was doing was NOT in fact just, but he had to to do what he wanted.

"I would have never done this before that incident..." he muttered again, "That was the breaking point all those years ago, when I began not caring anymore."

Author's Note

This is actually an unexpected chapter for me, and will not be added to the "chapters left" part of the description. I also have yet to edit this, but will do myself and later have done by an editor.

Also, the clocks in Omnitreza's cart are inspired by the Local Bily Brothers here in Iowa.

PS: I realized only now I forgot the antagonists cutie mark, and have edited a past chapter to include it in his description.
