Dash And Soarin's Honeymoon.
Soarin' stood leaning against a pillow with his hooves crossed, casually watching her. His dark blue mane looked windswept, like he'd come straight from the beach. The black shoes, faded crimson board shorts and a short-sleeved white top showed of his athletic build.
Dizziness swept over Rainbow Dash as she smiled and waved.
He gave a little nod and a warming smile as he pulled himself off the pillar.
Flutters of nervousness and excitement swarmed inside her. She quickened her pace and made her way through the crowd.
Soarin' approached her and drew her into his blue chest. His warm masculine scent surrounded her.
"Hi, beautiful. How did the flight go?"
She relaxed. The pleasure of being in his presence, in his fore-hooves made her forget that they were actually married.
"Good thanks."
He kissed her cheek and broke away before taking her bag, then guided her to the exit, where the taxi waited. He dropped her bag in the back and then opened the passenger door for her, impressed by Soarin's act of chivalry, she smiled as she walked passed him, before clumsily crawling into the back seat.
Soarin' sat in beside her and pulled the door shut before resting his hoof on her bare thigh. The engine started, and the taxi moved off.
Tingles flowed through her from his hand. The short layered black skirt had definitely been a good choice. His deep, green eyes flicked over her body and up to her face as if he couldn't believe she was here with him.
She felt safe under the comforting feel of his touch. Her eyes met his, but she quickly felt shy under his dominant gaze and turned to look out the window. The driver skidded off onto the highway, where vineyards and dry shrubs bathed in the mid-afternoon sun.
Soarin' squeezed her thigh. "I was worried you might not come."
She turned back to him. "Seriously? no, I'd never do something like that."
"Well, at least I'm glad i could find you in the crowd." Soarin chuckled.
"Yeah, at least." She breathed.
The driver pulled up in front of the hotel. When Dash turned to the window, her mouth opened but no words came out.
White walls sprawled over the hillside. An entourage of doormen and bellboys guarded a double doorway large enough for a few elephants to walk through. She hadn't expected such grandeur. She fumbled with the handle on the taxi door.
One of the bellboys rushed forward to assist. He took her weekend bag and followed them into the reception.
A chandelier hung from the centre of the three story ceiling like a waterfall. An open lounge bar displayed itself before a panoramic view of the glittering sea and a beach of powder white sand. The surrounding gardens of the hotel begged to be explored.
Soarin' took her under the wing and walked her down the white marble entrance hall. The reception staff smiled a welcome from the sweeping desk.
She flashed a grin at them before turning to look at the view again. Something about Soarin' made her proud to be seen with him, even ponies she didn't know.
The bellboy took her weekend bag into the room, and Soarin' tipped him before closing the door.
"How do you like the hotel?"
"I love it."
He nodded. "Good, this one is mine."
Dash's eyes widened. "Since when?"
"Since just now."
She smiled faintly. The bed looked big enough to sleep three ponies. Opposite it, a set of floor to ceiling sliding doors opened out onto a large balcony with deck-chairs and a coffee table. Elegant, cream curtains framed the window to the side of the bed witch displayed the picturesque beach beautifully.
She longed to run out and dip her toes in the sea, even swim in it.
Soarin' read her thoughts. "Want to go for a swim?"
She buzzed with excitement. The idea of swimming with him seemed very appealing.
"Sure."
He reached into his bag on the end of the bed and pulled out a tiny yellow thong-bikini. "I brought this for you."
