Twilight Sparkle was in Ponyville having a picnic with her five friends, also known as the Elements of Harmony, and with Princess Cadence and Shining Armor who came to visit. They ate cucumber sandwiches, drank tea, played Frisbee and chat and laughed. As everypony played Frisbee Cadence and Twilight sat at their picnic setup and chat. "Princess It is so good to see you after what happened at the Crystal Empire." said Twilight with a smile "Yes Twilight it is also good to see you too, running the empire does take some hard work and Armor and I finally got the week off after so much ruling. How are things here in Ponyville?" "Everything is great thought I sometimes think." "Hmm? About what Twilight?" "Well I was thinking about Sombra, I know we defeated him about a month ago but, I was thinking, was he always evil?" "Twilight, Sombra was always evil, he was pure evil and had no remorse for anypony. Reports from crystal pony historians told us that Sombra had an evil scheme to take the throne and reign Tyranny all over the Empire, but them Celestia and Luna stopped him, and then later, us." "Okay thanks Princess." Twilight looked over at Celestia's Sun and noticed that it was being lowered slowly, it was sunset and the plains were becoming dark. "Well it's looks like Celestia is lowering her sun, time to go inside, where are you and Shining staying at while you're in Ponyville?" asked Twilight "We are staying in at the Hay and Stay hotel during our visit." "Well I guess we should pack up." "Agreed." Everypony packed up and left for their homes. Twilight was in her Library reading, and reading, and reading dozens of books. After a dozen books later she looked at her clock and it said 12:30 pm, she was amazed at what time it was and she went to bed. Twilight was sleeping soundly in her bed dreaming, she dreamed of the Crystal Empire, but it was strange, the Crystal Ponies were worshiping somepony else on the Crystal Castle Balcony, a different pony other than Cadence. The pony was a unicorn, with a golden glaze coat and a white and blue colored mane. Twilight was crowded with the crystal ponies and wanted to know who that pony was. "Fillies and Gentlecolts, I will be your new ruler, Queen Diamond may have passed but she has trusted me to become king of the Crystal Empire. I am your new leader, I am King Sombra!!!" All of the ponies cheered for him as if they trusted him. Suddenly in a flash, Twilight suddenly saw from paradise to depression as she now saw slavery and hard working, depressing crystal ponies as they worked hard for Sombra. Twilight couldn't believe what she had seen, was that really King Sombra? And why were they cheering for him when he is a cold heart ruler? Twilight couldn't help but tear as she saw all of the hard working ponies, in pain under Sombra's control. As she looked around in her nightmareish dream she heard a voice, a chilling and sad voice. "Help me." "huh?" Twilight looked around but nopony was talking, not only that but nopony was anywhere near few feet of her. She heard it again. "Help me" "Who is there?" Twilight said looking around suspiciously "Twilight Sparkle..." "Who are you? Where are you? How do you know my name?" She began to become frightened with sweat. "I...am...Sombra... go...to...the...Crystal...Empire..." Suddenly a transparent pony appeared in front of Twilight, the pony was the same pony that Twilight saw on the Crystal Castle balcony. It was King Sombra, though he looked different, he had tears in his eyes and a sad expression on his face. "Wait... King Sombra? I thought we defeated you." "No...I...still...suffer...please...help..me...the...Crystal...Library...I...will..explain...later...PLEASE...GO!!!" His final words passed as his transparent figure faded away and shocked Twilight awake. Twilight gasped for air, and sweated down bullets not knowing if it was a nightmare or a message. She needed to talk to somepony about what she had just seen. On the next day she needed to talk to somepony about the Crystal Empire, and who else than Princess Cadence. She walked down the streets of Ponyville and found her and Shining having breakfast at a nearby cafe. She walked over to the two with a worried expression on her face, hoping that Cadence could answer her questions. "There you two are, I've been looking for you." "Oh hey Twily whats up?" Shining said "Hello Twilight. Why were you looking for us?" asked Cadence "Well... I need to talk to both of you, It's about a dream I had last night." Twilight sat down with both Shining and Cadence, a waiter came by to ask what Twilight wanted anything but she shook her head and the waiter trotted off. "Shining, Cadence, I have a question for you." "What is it Twilight?" "Was there any other ruler besides you and Sombra?" asked Twilight "Well...If what the crystal pony historians told me, there was only one other ruler and her name was Queen Diamond and she passed away due to an illness she had. Then there was Sombra and like i told you before he stole the throne and..." "But he didn't" Interrupted Twilight. The married couple both had an eyebrow raised from Twilight's objection "What do you mean Twily" question Shining "Well..." Twilight explained everything that she had seen, both Cadence's and Shining's face both had confusing looks on them. "Now do you see why I asked and thought about Sombra? I think he wasn't evil and he was asking for help, not only that but, he looked different when i saw him as a different ruler. He told me to go to the Crystal Library and he'll explain everything there." Said Twilight "I don't know Twily, King Sombra was a tyrant and an evil ruler, are you sure we should help him?" asked Shining "Well I wasn't feeling sure about this too BBBFF, but when I looked at Sombra he had tears in his eyes instead of a dark aura, and his face was more depressed than Fluttershy if she was sad. Not only that but I couldn't help but feel sadness, and depression for Sombra. I have to help him, and I have one more question, was he really planning on being evil, or was he possessed?" "I don't know Twilight, but I am intrigued in finding out Sombra's secrets. But I am also confused why auntie Celestia wouldn't know about this." "Well she told me that her information on the Crystal Empire was limited, so it's quite possible that she didn't know much about King Sombra or Queen Diamond." "Alright Twilight, we should go to, but we should also inform Celestia and we should bring your friends. They could become useful what with being the Elements of Harmony and all." said Cadence "Right I'll inform Celestia right away, when should we leave for the Crystal Empire?" asked Twilight "Well I was thinking of leaving in 2 days, so you and your friends can have enough time to pack up anything you'll need." "Right" "So let me get this straight Twah. You got a dream about This King Sombra feller and he was asking you for ar' help? And we a' going back to the Crystal Empire to help him?" asked Applejack "Well that's what I heard." said Rainbow Dash "Are we going to have a party?" asked Pinkie Pie "No darling we are going to help somepony in need of assistance." said Rarity "Um...do...we have...to?" asked Fluttershy "Yes Fluttershy we have to, I fear and think that there is something more evil than King Sombra. Now Cadence and Shining Armor have given us two days to prepare, who knows what could happen." Everypony gave a nod and set off to their homes to prepare for an adventure they would never expect. Twilight was in her home asleep writing down the situation to Celestia. Twilight wen't to bed, sure enough she was having the same dream, Good Sombra and Bad Sombra but this time it was different. Twilight was in a crystal hallway and could hear Sombra's voice in new words. "King Sombra." "Ah Captain Shimmer it's good to see you my friend. What news do you bring?" "Well you see sir, some of our scouts have found a crystal mine, we believe that we can use it for resources. "Oh? Well may I see it for myself.? "Of course sir." Twilight woke up again gasping for air and sweating bullets again like last night. "A mine? I don't recall any mines back at the Crystal empire. *sigh* I hope that I'm right and that King Sombra isn't tricking me." Twilight went back to sleep awaiting the next morning. Today was the day the Elements and the Crystal Empire rulers were to return back to the Empire. They all got on their train and left. Celestia had accepted their curiosity and proceeded them with their research. They shortly arrived at the Crystal Station all had supplies to be ready for anything. It was now the start of the truth. Author's Note Well here's the start tell me what you think, I can take criticism. The BookChapter 2: The Book The gang shortly arrived at the Crystal Station, also known as the arctic. They traveled through the gusty winds and the thick snow. "Why is it always cold here? Wouldn't the Empire be this cold?" asked Rainbow Dash "Well the Empire is protected by a magic barrier. The barrier is made from magic crystals that obtain power from Celestia's sun, so they never run out of power and they always protect the empire." explained Cadence Suddenly a black crystal came from the sky, jabbed through the snow clouds and crashed in front of the ponies. Everypony could remember who could control black crystals, King Sombra, but this crystal had words engraved on it. Twilight Sparkle examined the words engraved on the crystal. "Please hurry." Twilight read off the crystal "We must be on the right track." she declared The gang arrived at the empire and came in through the mane entrance, the main entrance was also part of the barrier and as soon as they walked through their crystal forms reappeared, which also caused Rarity to scream and faint in awe. Everypony waved at their heroes as they entered the kingdom, but they mostly waved at the princess making Rainbow Dash jealous. Twilight pointed toward to the library, the rest just nodded in agreement and followed her. As they entered inside the library their first objective was to find the librarian regarding any information about King Sombra. They found her on her desk which was the easy part, the hard part was asking about Sombra. Twilight and the gang walked over to her, Cadence asked "Excuse me Miss Volume do you any time to talk?" "Shhh lower your volume dear, and yes what is it princess?" whispered Volume "Oh my I apologize, but I have one question?" asked Cadence Volume raised an eyebrow "What is it?" "Well I was wondering if you have any books, scrolls, or records regarding King Sombra." "GHAA... K-K-King Sombra? But why princess?" asked Volume with fear "I'm sorry to have scared you Volume but my sister in law is trying to conduct in some research. You see she had a strange dream involving Sombra and she wan'ts to prove something." explained Cadence "A-A-Are you sure princess? I thought we were done with him, he still gives me the shivers whenever I hear his name. But if you really want to research here I'm sorry I'm afraid there isn't any... GAAK!!!" Suddenly Volume's eyes were changing and had a dark purple aura around them, she spoke "Follow...me...she...doesn't...know...anything...". Her voice was dark and deep like an inner demon. All of the ponies became timid as Volume was now possessed, but by who? Twilight recognized this voice. "S-S-Sombra?" question Twilight "That is correct Twilight Sparkle. Please follow me, Volume doesn't know about my secret study. All of the ponies gulped in fear and nodded, Sombra/possessed Volume walked over to the history section of the library. She walked over to a nearby poster that said "Books Books Books, They'rrrrrrrre GREAT!!!", but something was odd, it looked old, even if it didn't have wrinkles it was still old for it's age. The possessed Volume ripped off the poster revealing a giant crystal door with gears, and 2 wheels. The possessed Volume used her magic to turn the two wheels, she kept turning one at a time sometimes turns both to get the correct combination until *click* the door opened and formed a long stairway into some sort of basement. Sombra left her body and become a floating wisp of magic, Volume passed out on the floor unconscious. Everypony thought she was dead until Wisp Sombra said "Don't worry she won't remember what happened, she will wake up within an hour or so." The ponies nodded and also gulped in fear as they looked at Volume unconscious. They followed Wisp Sombra down the long stairway, torches automatically turned on as they proceeded down the stairs as they followed Sombra. At the end of the stairs they found a room, a sign had said "Sombra's Study" but it was strange, a study would have papers, scrolls, books, anything involving paper, but this roomed had nothing but empty bookshelves. In the middle of the study they found an old dusty desk with one book and a white crystal. The gang walked over to the book and crystal, the title was called "Sombra's Research" Twilight gulped wondering about the book, normally she would love to read books but this one, it felt dark to her. "Read it and all with be explained, I must bid farewell to save my energy. I will return when the time is right" and with that Sombra vanished into thin air. Twilight sat in front of the book, everypony gathered around her and waited. "Ready?" Twilight asked. Everypony nodded in agreement preparing for the worst. As twilight opened the book, the crystal next to it shone and in a blink of an eye teleported everypony, there was nothing no pony, everypony was gone. "Ughh where am I?" Twilight found herself on a crystal floor, she was the first to wake up with her friends still unconscious. "Hey Everypony wake up." Twilight screaming making a shot towards everypony's ears waking them up. "Meh I don't wanna go train coach, gimme five more minutes ZZZZ" snored Rainbow Dash Twilight frowned and shook around Rainbow Dash with her magic, making her wake up and her mane all frizzy. After everypony's awakening Applejack was to first to ask. "Uhhhh Twah, where ah we?" "I don't know Applejack but something tells me that we are still in the Crystal Empire, due to the crystal molding and interior in this hallway." Twilight noticed something strange about everypony, stranger than Pinkie Pie. Twilight screamed in terror as she saw...saw...Applejack...flying. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH...APPLEJACK YOUR.....YOUR FLYING!!!" exclaimed Twilight. Everypony looked over to Applejack and had the same reaction as Twilight. Applejack's jaw dropped down and her eye's widened as she noticed that she was floating about five feet above the ground. "HOLY APPLESAUCE!!! TWALIGHT WHAT'D YOU DO NOW!?" "I...I...I DON'T KNOW! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING." replied a frightened Twilight. Twilight looked at everypony else to find out all of them were flying, Cadence, Rainbow, and Fluttershy we flying but their wings weren't deployed. Twilight feared for the worst, she looked down to find herself also levitated off the floor. "WHATS HAPPENING TO US!?!?!?!?" screamed Fluttershy "Wait" paused Rarity "Darling are we still in our crystal forms? Yes we are transparent but I don't feel fabulous or shiny at all my dear." Everypony else looked at themselves and each other, Rarity was right, nopony was crystalized. "Soooo......., Are we like, dead?" asked Rainbow Dash. "D-D-D-D-DEAD!?!?!" exclaimed a freaked out Fluttershy Everypony started to freak out thinking of they were dead or not, but it seemed to look like it. Suddenly they could hear voices coming from a nearby room. Everypony approached the entrance and peaked they heads to look who it was. They saw a royal pony guard with purple crystal armor, and King Sombra before he turned evil. "Psst, Twilight is that Sombra? I doesn't look like him, he looks like an alicorn with no wings." whispered Rainbow "Yes, but be quiet Rainbow, I want to listen to this new information." said Twilight "King Sombra." "Ah, Captain Shimmer, are the preparations ready for the ruins?" "Yes sir," there was a long pause between Sombra and Shimmer "But I have one question my King." asked Sombra "What is it?" "Are you sure you wan't to look into these ruins, we could have researchers look into it." "No, I must see to this myself, I am interested in learning all about the empire before Diamond so that I may teach the young foals, or mine if I become married." "Heh....If you get lucky sir. If you get lucky." *Meanwhile with the mane ponies* Everypony was shocked to find King Sombra as a good guy and not a bad guy, even Princess Cadence was shocked to have found this out. "Twily, what the hay is going on?" asked Shining Armor "I may have one theory but I'm not quite certain, but I think were in........................The Past." Author's Note Que dramatic ending theme. The TruthChapter 3: The Truth *Picking up from where we were previously* Everypony gasped is horror to Twilight's theory fearing that she could be right. It would make sense, them being transparent, floating, King Sombra, and the crystal flash, it all summed up to Twilight's theory, they are in the past. "I think your right Twah." whispered Applejack Sombra and Shimmer started walked out the exit, which was where the gang was. "Ahh!!! Here they come." exclaimed Pinkie Pie Everypony didn't have time to hide, they thought they were doomed. Sombra and Shimmer walked through the entrance and turned towards the group of ponies, but oddly enough they just walked right through them like ghosts. Everypony was shocked what had happened, especially Rarity because nopony could see her fabulous, NOPONY. Everypony eye's were shot wide open and stared into the same direction with shock on their face, well except Pinkie Pie who just waved goodbye to Sombra and Shimmer. "Wha...what just happened???" asked Fluttershy with a frightened expression. "I don't know but I think Twilight's theory could be correct, we must be in the past but, we might just be witnessing the past, before King Sombra turned evil." said Cadence as everypony gasped in horror. As soon as she said that, everything changed, literally they were all transported into a different scene, they were inside a crystal like cave and they found Sombra, and some guards venturing through what they think is the ruins. They all followed Sombra and his guards to see what was going on. "King Sombra, So word on the streets says you got eyes on a pegasus." announced Private Mirror "Heh, guess there's no use to hiding it, yes those rumors are true, she is as beautiful as the crystal heart, I do wish to express my feelings on day." "Who's the lucky mare's name?" asked Sargent Glass "I do believe her name was Jade, and she is the most beautiful pegasus I've ever seen, I will try to ask her to dance at the Crystal Ball." Princess Cadence's ears perked up as soon as she herd the name Jade, Shining Armor looked at her, worried for his wife. "Uh. honey are you okay, you looked worried." said Shining Armor "Well, that name, Jade, it sounds so familiar." said Cadence "Well let's try not to worry about it, remember we are here to find out the truth." "Right." Sombra, his guards, and the ghost ponies stopped at what looks like a dead end. There in front of everypony was a massive door with old skeleton ponies, and strange hieroglyphs on the door. "King Sombra, what are these strange hieroglyphics on the door, it doesn't look too familiar to me." said Captain Shimmer. "Hmmm.....well....it's a bit vague but I think these are markings from Neighsia. Yes I think this is the language from the group of neighsans called the Neighhongo. I think if I can read this right, "Only the power of rulers may open the way". Alright so what I think is that only the ruler of the Empire may open it, still I think we may have already made a discovery, the Neighongo were first to inherit the Empire." Sombra explained "Wow sir, that's amazing, how did you know how to read this language?" asked Sargent Glass "Well when i was just a young colt, I had to learn almost everything, and since I was in royalty I had to learn almost every language there was, my tutors were trying to turn me into a Mare E. Sue, luckily I survived that royal pain in the flank." Sombra explained. All the guards chuckled, as did Sombra. After their quick laugh Sombra got into a battle ready position and used his magic on the door, it was extremely heavy and hard to move, harder than defeating an ursam major. The door opened and Sombra collapsed to the ground gasping for air, the guards came to his aid. "Sir are you okay? Are you hurt?" announced Shimmer "Y-Yes, It took a lot of magic." Again everything changed, the scene and scenario changed, our ghost ponies now found themselves in a black crystal room, inside they found that there was a black crystal version of the crystal heart, the ponies had also found King Sombra and his guards, though something was strange, they looked older. Pinkie zoomed in to Sombra face and zoomed back to her friends. "Hey Twilight, why does Sombra look a lot older?" asked Pinkie "Hmm I think we transported a few more years in the past." said Twilight. King Sombra and his guards sat there and just stared at the black crystal heart. "So King Sombra, It's been 3 years since you married Jade, when are you going to have a foal?" asked Shimmer "Heh, well truth is, she just became pregnant." Sombra announced Everypony, even the ghost ponies gasped in excitement at Sombra's news. "So what are you going to name your foal, and what type is it?" "Well we haven't decided on a name yet, and Jade recently got pregnant." "King, I think we've finally found out how to break that barrier." announced Private Mirror. "Barrier?" thought the ghost ponies. "What is it Mirror?" "Over here, I think it's more neighongo. Can you translate it sir?" "I can try." said Sombra. Sombra examined the language and came with a conclusion. "Only magic as black and as night may unleash it's heart." Sombra read. "Black magic? The only magic that is black I know is anger and despair.......Gaurds! Stand back, I'll need to do something dangerous." The guards nodded following his command and stood back. Sombra closed his eyes, his eyes became green, and had a dark purple aura, he then shot a dark beam of magic at the barrier which shattered to pieces. "All right, time to make contact with this black heart." "Sir are you sure? It might be a trap." "Well how else are we to discover it's wonder." Sombra approached the black crystal heart with extreme caution. He slowly reached out his hoof towards the heart to make contact. With a single tap, the heart shattered into a million pieces. Everypony just stared into the pile of dust, of what was now the black crystal heart. Nothing happened, no traps, nothing. "Well that was disappointiieuuuuuuuu..." Suddenly time stopped, Everything was black with lines of white inclines. Sombra was confused, he waved a hoof up close in front of Shimmer's face, no response. Not only could Sombra feel time stop, but the ghost ponies could witness time being frozen. "Psssssssssst". A voice was heard, Sombra felt a chill on his back, he looked behind him, but all he could see was the entrance to the room. "Heh....Over here my toy. Sombra looked over to the shattered heart, A black purple mist flowed out from the shattered heart, a crystal unicorn with a coat black as Luna's night and a black gray mane flowing up like fire appeared right before Sombra's eyes. Sombra readied a position and lit up his horn, eye glared at the black unicorn with daggers in his eyes. "My....Such a bad dent you are." "WHO ARE YOU, IDENTIFY YOURSELF." Growled Sombra "Heh, well...I know who you are King Sombra." Sombra became unsteady, he knew who he was. "Tch...but if you must know, the Neighongo called me Vex." Vex snickered and galloped straight towards Sombra. He shattered into a millions of pieces like shattered glass and flew inside Sombra's nostrils, ears, and mouth. Sombra screamed in pain as Vex traveled throughout the inside Sombra's body. Sombra's was on the ground curled into a ball of pain. He opened his eyes, purple aura came of his eyes, his mane turned black, and his voice changed. "Yes. YES! This is the perfect toy for me." Vex had taken over Sombra. Vex violently shook his head changing from dark to light. "NO, YOU WILL NOT! CONTROL ME!!!" "YES I WILL!" "WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO WITH ME! HUH!?" "HA I WILL DESTROY YOUR REPUTATION!" "NO!" Sombra was enraged, we didn't want his subjects to suffer, especially under his own hoof. "YES. YES!!! SHOW ME ANGER!!!" The color of the world came back, Sombra's guards regained consciousness. Captain Shimmer found Sombra maniacally laughing to himself. "King Sombra, are you okay?" "Graagghh, crystals, crystal hearts!" Vex Sombra screamed as he summoned black crystal impaling all of the guards killing them. "NOOOOOO!!!" Sombra screamed as he was trapped inside his own mind. Twilight and her friends were horrified, this was the truth about King Sombra. They were then transported to a different scene. They were in a hospital room, they found a lone pegasus mare holding a small foal in her hooves. She had a bright green coat and a grassy green mane. A doctor came inside to meet the mare. "Ms. Jade Are you sure about this?" "Yes, Sombra may be gone but I know he would want this." The patient known as Jade, who was also Sombra's wife had given the foal to the doctor. Cadence squinted her eyes, the foal looked familiar to her. As Jade was about to let go of her hooves she led out tears and said a few words. "Goodbye Mi Amore Cadenza, always know that me and Sombra will always love you." She said as the doctor took the foal and brought the foal to a room that labeled Isolation chamber. The doctor walked inside and put the foal inside a chamber with a glass shielding. Before the doctor could close the chamber a loud shoat came from what sounded like corrupted Sombra. "GRAAAAAAHHH!!!!!! CRYSTAL HEARTS!!!!!" The doctor sighed and spoke to the foal. "Look kid, you should know I am against Equestrian law to do this, but you are our only hope against Vex. You should never forget about your parents, but you are. Sorry kid but it was addressed by your mother Jade and your father Sombra. Celestia and Luna would probably find you but you'll forget about your parents by then. Good luck kid." The doctor said as he closed the chamber and pressed a red button. The foal inside gave a long yawn and fell asleep, the chamber then began to freeze. Sombra was banished, Jade was killed by Vex and the Princesses had triumphed Vex, or Sombra which is what they thought. "Tia what about the empire, what will happen to it?" asked Luna "We cannot do anything, the empire is going to freeze. The crystal ponies will be safe except one." "One sister?" "Yes, Queen Jade asked us to find a certain foal deep within the hospital, her name is Mi Amore Cadenza. She will be special like us, she is going to be a princess, as well as an alicorn." A bright light flashed in front of Twilight and her friend's eyes. Twilight slowly opened her eyes, she found herself inside Sombra's private room inside the library. She found her friends also lying unconscious on the floor, she quickly looked under her and her friends, nopony was a ghost, thank Celestia. Eventually everypony awoke from the visions, Cadence's face was horrified from the last visions. Her husband came close to her hugged her, she cried all over his shoulder, she never realized that King Sombra was her father. Everypony gathered around her comforting her. "So you know the truth, well I'm sorry my dear daughter." Sombra's aura reappeared, he sounded depressed as he was sorry for Cadence. " I am so sorry, I wanted to see you, but the only way I saw you was anger towards me. In a way I'm proud of you." "It's-" *sob* "It's okay dad, It wan't your fault, how could nopony remember you as a good leader? Everypony said that you were always born to be evil, that you killed Queen Diamond to take the throne." "Let me explain, Vex had control of my body and empire. He knew that we would be eventually defeated, but he wanted be to suffer, he casted a spell so powerful that it would effect the princesses. Nopony could remember who I was only making me rage and powering him up. As soon as he casted the spell, my whole empire defiled and bowed to me in slavery. Twilight was determined to help a poor old suffering soul. Nopony deserves what Sombra had gone through. Sombra floated towards Cadence who was still sobbing for finding the truth. "Cadence, my daughter, know that I will always love you. Your mother always loved you and gave you life. She sacrificed herself in order to save you. I unfortunately had lost you, but know this. If it wasn't for us, what would you have now? You wouldn't have a great husband, or an empire to rule along with loyal subjects who trust you." Shining Armor had smiled towards Sombra, he had trusted him more than ever now. Sombra then displeasure into oblivion, he had no more information to share, he had told them everything. "Wait!" yelled Twilight Sparkle. Sombra reappeared, Twilight approached him. "What should we do about the citizens of the empire? Can we try to help them remember you?" "The only way they'll get their memory back is if Vex and I pass. We are bound together into one, and their memories are locked within their mind." And with those last words, Sombra disappeared. Shining Armor walked over to Twilight putting a shoulder over Twilight. "Twilight, I now know the truth. You are my sister and I will stay by your side on this quest." "So will I." followed Cadence "And me" "Me too YAY!" "Me too Darling." "Ah me to sugar cube." "Oh...um...me...to" "Alright everpony, lets save King Sombra!" All of Twilight's friends stayed by her side, let the quest for rest begin. The DreamChapter 1: The Dream It has been about 1 month since Sombra's defeat, the Crystal Empire remains peaceful filled with joy, friendship, and harmony. Twilight Sparkle was in Ponyville having a picnic with her five friends, also known as the Elements of Harmony, and with Princess Cadence and Shining Armor who came to visit. They ate cucumber sandwiches, drank tea, played Frisbee and chat and laughed. As everypony played Frisbee Cadence and Twilight sat at their picnic setup and chat. "Princess It is so good to see you after what happened at the Crystal Empire." said Twilight with a smile "Yes Twilight it is also good to see you too, running the empire does take some hard work and Armor and I finally got the week off after so much ruling. How are things here in Ponyville?" "Everything is great thought I sometimes think." "Hmm? About what Twilight?" "Well I was thinking about Sombra, I know we defeated him about a month ago but, I was thinking, was he always evil?" "Twilight, Sombra was always evil, he was pure evil and had no remorse for anypony. Reports from crystal pony historians told us that Sombra had an evil scheme to take the throne and reign Tyranny all over the Empire, but them Celestia and Luna stopped him, and then later, us." "Okay thanks Princess." Twilight looked over at Celestia's Sun and noticed that it was being lowered slowly, it was sunset and the plains were becoming dark. "Well it's looks like Celestia is lowering her sun, time to go inside, where are you and Shining staying at while you're in Ponyville?" asked Twilight "We are staying in at the Hay and Stay hotel during our visit." "Well I guess we should pack up." "Agreed." Everypony packed up and left for their homes. Twilight was in her Library reading, and reading, and reading dozens of books. After a dozen books later she looked at her clock and it said 12:30 pm, she was amazed at what time it was and she went to bed. Twilight was sleeping soundly in her bed dreaming, she dreamed of the Crystal Empire, but it was strange, the Crystal Ponies were worshiping somepony else on the Crystal Castle Balcony, a different pony other than Cadence. The pony was a unicorn, with a golden glaze coat and a white and blue colored mane. Twilight was crowded with the crystal ponies and wanted to know who that pony was. "Fillies and Gentlecolts, I will be your new ruler, Queen Diamond may have passed but she has trusted me to become king of the Crystal Empire. I am your new leader, I am King Sombra!!!" All of the ponies cheered for him as if they trusted him. Suddenly in a flash, Twilight suddenly saw from paradise to depression as she now saw slavery and hard working, depressing crystal ponies as they worked hard for Sombra. Twilight couldn't believe what she had seen, was that really King Sombra? And why were they cheering for him when he is a cold heart ruler? Twilight couldn't help but tear as she saw all of the hard working ponies, in pain under Sombra's control. As she looked around in her nightmareish dream she heard a voice, a chilling and sad voice. "Help me." "huh?" Twilight looked around but nopony was talking, not only that but nopony was anywhere near few feet of her. She heard it again. "Help me" "Who is there?" Twilight said looking around suspiciously "Twilight Sparkle..." "Who are you? Where are you? How do you know my name?" She began to become frightened with sweat. "I...am...Sombra... go...to...the...Crystal...Empire..." Suddenly a transparent pony appeared in front of Twilight, the pony was the same pony that Twilight saw on the Crystal Castle balcony. It was King Sombra, though he looked different, he had tears in his eyes and a sad expression on his face. "Wait... King Sombra? I thought we defeated you." "No...I...still...suffer...please...help..me...the...Crystal...Library...I...will..explain...later...PLEASE...GO!!!" His final words passed as his transparent figure faded away and shocked Twilight awake. Twilight gasped for air, and sweated down bullets not knowing if it was a nightmare or a message. She needed to talk to somepony about what she had just seen. On the next day she needed to talk to somepony about the Crystal Empire, and who else than Princess Cadence. She walked down the streets of Ponyville and found her and Shining having breakfast at a nearby cafe. She walked over to the two with a worried expression on her face, hoping that Cadence could answer her questions. "There you two are, I've been looking for you." "Oh hey Twily whats up?" Shining said "Hello Twilight. Why were you looking for us?" asked Cadence "Well... I need to talk to both of you, It's about a dream I had last night." Twilight sat down with both Shining and Cadence, a waiter came by to ask what Twilight wanted anything but she shook her head and the waiter trotted off. "Shining, Cadence, I have a question for you." "What is it Twilight?" "Was there any other ruler besides you and Sombra?" asked Twilight "Well...If what the crystal pony historians told me, there was only one other ruler and her name was Queen Diamond and she passed away due to an illness she had. Then there was Sombra and like i told you before he stole the throne and..." "But he didn't" Interrupted Twilight. The married couple both had an eyebrow raised from Twilight's objection "What do you mean Twily" question Shining "Well..." Twilight explained everything that she had seen, both Cadence's and Shining's face both had confusing looks on them. "Now do you see why I asked and thought about Sombra? I think he wasn't evil and he was asking for help, not only that but, he looked different when i saw him as a different ruler. He told me to go to the Crystal Library and he'll explain everything there." Said Twilight "I don't know Twily, King Sombra was a tyrant and an evil ruler, are you sure we should help him?" asked Shining "Well I wasn't feeling sure about this too BBBFF, but when I looked at Sombra he had tears in his eyes instead of a dark aura, and his face was more depressed than Fluttershy if she was sad. Not only that but I couldn't help but feel sadness, and depression for Sombra. I have to help him, and I have one more question, was he really planning on being evil, or was he possessed?" "I don't know Twilight, but I am intrigued in finding out Sombra's secrets. But I am also confused why auntie Celestia wouldn't know about this." "Well she told me that her information on the Crystal Empire was limited, so it's quite possible that she didn't know much about King Sombra or Queen Diamond." "Alright Twilight, we should go to, but we should also inform Celestia and we should bring your friends. They could become useful what with being the Elements of Harmony and all." said Cadence "Right I'll inform Celestia right away, when should we leave for the Crystal Empire?" asked Twilight "Well I was thinking of leaving in 2 days, so you and your friends can have enough time to pack up anything you'll need." "Right" "So let me get this straight Twah. You got a dream about This King Sombra feller and he was asking you for ar' help? And we a' going back to the Crystal Empire to help him?" asked Applejack "Well that's what I heard." said Rainbow Dash "Are we going to have a party?" asked Pinkie Pie "No darling we are going to help somepony in need of assistance." said Rarity "Um...do...we have...to?" asked Fluttershy "Yes Fluttershy we have to, I fear and think that there is something more evil than King Sombra. Now Cadence and Shining Armor have given us two days to prepare, who knows what could happen." Everypony gave a nod and set off to their homes to prepare for an adventure they would never expect. Twilight was in her home asleep writing down the situation to Celestia. Twilight wen't to bed, sure enough she was having the same dream, Good Sombra and Bad Sombra but this time it was different. Twilight was in a crystal hallway and could hear Sombra's voice in new words. "King Sombra." "Ah Captain Shimmer it's good to see you my friend. What news do you bring?" "Well you see sir, some of our scouts have found a crystal mine, we believe that we can use it for resources. "Oh? Well may I see it for myself.? "Of course sir." Twilight woke up again gasping for air and sweating bullets again like last night. "A mine? I don't recall any mines back at the Crystal empire. *sigh* I hope that I'm right and that King Sombra isn't tricking me." Twilight went back to sleep awaiting the next morning. Today was the day the Elements and the Crystal Empire rulers were to return back to the Empire. They all got on their train and left. Celestia had accepted their curiosity and proceeded them with their research. They shortly arrived at the Crystal Station all had supplies to be ready for anything. It was now the start of the truth. The BookChapter 2: The Book The gang shortly arrived at the Crystal Station, also known as the arctic. They traveled through the gusty winds and the thick snow. "Why is it always cold here? Wouldn't the Empire be this cold?" asked Rainbow Dash "Well the Empire is protected by a magic barrier. The barrier is made from magic crystals that obtain power from Celestia's sun, so they never run out of power and they always protect the empire." explained Cadence Suddenly a black crystal came from the sky, jabbed through the snow clouds and crashed in front of the ponies. Everypony could remember who could control black crystals, King Sombra, but this crystal had words engraved on it. Twilight Sparkle examined the words engraved on the crystal. "Please hurry." Twilight read off the crystal "We must be on the right track." she declared The gang arrived at the empire and came in through the mane entrance, the main entrance was also part of the barrier and as soon as they walked through their crystal forms reappeared, which also caused Rarity to scream and faint in awe. Everypony waved at their heroes as they entered the kingdom, but they mostly waved at the princess making Rainbow Dash jealous. Twilight pointed toward to the library, the rest just nodded in agreement and followed her. As they entered inside the library their first objective was to find the librarian regarding any information about King Sombra. They found her on her desk which was the easy part, the hard part was asking about Sombra. Twilight and the gang walked over to her, Cadence asked "Excuse me Miss Volume do you any time to talk?" "Shhh lower your volume dear, and yes what is it princess?" whispered Volume "Oh my I apologize, but I have one question?" asked Cadence Volume raised an eyebrow "What is it?" "Well I was wondering if you have any books, scrolls, or records regarding King Sombra." "GHAA... K-K-King Sombra? But why princess?" asked Volume with fear "I'm sorry to have scared you Volume but my sister in law is trying to conduct in some research. You see she had a strange dream involving Sombra and she wan'ts to prove something." explained Cadence "A-A-Are you sure princess? I thought we were done with him, he still gives me the shivers whenever I hear his name. But if you really want to research here I'm sorry I'm afraid there isn't any... GAAK!!!" Suddenly Volume's eyes were changing and had a dark purple aura around them, she spoke "Follow...me...she...doesn't...know...anything...". Her voice was dark and deep like an inner demon. All of the ponies became timid as Volume was now possessed, but by who? Twilight recognized this voice. "S-S-Sombra?" question Twilight "That is correct Twilight Sparkle. Please follow me, Volume doesn't know about my secret study. All of the ponies gulped in fear and nodded, Sombra/possessed Volume walked over to the history section of the library. She walked over to a nearby poster that said "Books Books Books, They'rrrrrrrre GREAT!!!", but something was odd, it looked old, even if it didn't have wrinkles it was still old for it's age. The possessed Volume ripped off the poster revealing a giant crystal door with gears, and 2 wheels. The possessed Volume used her magic to turn the two wheels, she kept turning one at a time sometimes turns both to get the correct combination until *click* the door opened and formed a long stairway into some sort of basement. Sombra left her body and become a floating wisp of magic, Volume passed out on the floor unconscious. Everypony thought she was dead until Wisp Sombra said "Don't worry she won't remember what happened, she will wake up within an hour or so." The ponies nodded and also gulped in fear as they looked at Volume unconscious. They followed Wisp Sombra down the long stairway, torches automatically turned on as they proceeded down the stairs as they followed Sombra. At the end of the stairs they found a room, a sign had said "Sombra's Study" but it was strange, a study would have papers, scrolls, books, anything involving paper, but this roomed had nothing but empty bookshelves. In the middle of the study they found an old dusty desk with one book and a white crystal. The gang walked over to the book and crystal, the title was called "Sombra's Research" Twilight gulped wondering about the book, normally she would love to read books but this one, it felt dark to her. "Read it and all with be explained, I must bid farewell to save my energy. I will return when the time is right" and with that Sombra vanished into thin air. Twilight sat in front of the book, everypony gathered around her and waited. "Ready?" Twilight asked. Everypony nodded in agreement preparing for the worst. As twilight opened the book, the crystal next to it shone and in a blink of an eye teleported everypony, there was nothing no pony, everypony was gone. "Ughh where am I?" Twilight found herself on a crystal floor, she was the first to wake up with her friends still unconscious. "Hey Everypony wake up." Twilight screaming making a shot towards everypony's ears waking them up. "Meh I don't wanna go train coach, gimme five more minutes ZZZZ" snored Rainbow Dash Twilight frowned and shook around Rainbow Dash with her magic, making her wake up and her mane all frizzy. After everypony's awakening Applejack was to first to ask. "Uhhhh Twah, where ah we?" "I don't know Applejack but something tells me that we are still in the Crystal Empire, due to the crystal molding and interior in this hallway." Twilight noticed something strange about everypony, stranger than Pinkie Pie. Twilight screamed in terror as she saw...saw...Applejack...flying. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH...APPLEJACK YOUR.....YOUR FLYING!!!" exclaimed Twilight. Everypony looked over to Applejack and had the same reaction as Twilight. Applejack's jaw dropped down and her eye's widened as she noticed that she was floating about five feet above the ground. "HOLY APPLESAUCE!!! TWALIGHT WHAT'D YOU DO NOW!?" "I...I...I DON'T KNOW! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING." replied a frightened Twilight. Twilight looked at everypony else to find out all of them were flying, Cadence, Rainbow, and Fluttershy we flying but their wings weren't deployed. Twilight feared for the worst, she looked down to find herself also levitated off the floor. "WHATS HAPPENING TO US!?!?!?!?" screamed Fluttershy "Wait" paused Rarity "Darling are we still in our crystal forms? Yes we are transparent but I don't feel fabulous or shiny at all my dear." Everypony else looked at themselves and each other, Rarity was right, nopony was crystalized. "Soooo......., Are we like, dead?" asked Rainbow Dash. "D-D-D-D-DEAD!?!?!" exclaimed a freaked out Fluttershy Everypony started to freak out thinking of they were dead or not, but it seemed to look like it. Suddenly they could hear voices coming from a nearby room. Everypony approached the entrance and peaked they heads to look who it was. They saw a royal pony guard with purple crystal armor, and King Sombra before he turned evil. "Psst, Twilight is that Sombra? I doesn't look like him, he looks like an alicorn with no wings." whispered Rainbow "Yes, but be quiet Rainbow, I want to listen to this new information." said Twilight "King Sombra." "Ah, Captain Shimmer, are the preparations ready for the ruins?" "Yes sir," there was a long pause between Sombra and Shimmer "But I have one question my King." asked Sombra "What is it?" "Are you sure you wan't to look into these ruins, we could have researchers look into it." "No, I must see to this myself, I am interested in learning all about the empire before Diamond so that I may teach the young foals, or mine if I become married." "Heh....If you get lucky sir. If you get lucky." *Meanwhile with the mane ponies* Everypony was shocked to find King Sombra as a good guy and not a bad guy, even Princess Cadence was shocked to have found this out. "Twily, what the hay is going on?" asked Shining Armor "I may have one theory but I'm not quite certain, but I think were in........................The Past." Author's Note Que dramatic ending theme. The TruthChapter 3: The Truth *Picking up from where we were previously* Everypony gasped is horror to Twilight's theory fearing that she could be right. It would make sense, them being transparent, floating, King Sombra, and the crystal flash, it all summed up to Twilight's theory, they are in the past. "I think your right Twah." whispered Applejack Sombra and Shimmer started walked out the exit, which was where the gang was. "Ahh!!! Here they come." exclaimed Pinkie Pie Everypony didn't have time to hide, they thought they were doomed. Sombra and Shimmer walked through the entrance and turned towards the group of ponies, but oddly enough they just walked right through them like ghosts. Everypony was shocked what had happened, especially Rarity because nopony could see her fabulous, NOPONY. Everypony eye's were shot wide open and stared into the same direction with shock on their face, well except Pinkie Pie who just waved goodbye to Sombra and Shimmer. "Wha...what just happened???" asked Fluttershy with a frightened expression. "I don't know but I think Twilight's theory could be correct, we must be in the past but, we might just be witnessing the past, before King Sombra turned evil." said Cadence as everypony gasped in horror. As soon as she said that, everything changed, literally they were all transported into a different scene, they were inside a crystal like cave and they found Sombra, and some guards venturing through what they think is the ruins. They all followed Sombra and his guards to see what was going on. "King Sombra, So word on the streets says you got eyes on a pegasus." announced Private Mirror "Heh, guess there's no use to hiding it, yes those rumors are true, she is as beautiful as the crystal heart, I do wish to express my feelings on day." "Who's the lucky mare's name?" asked Sargent Glass "I do believe her name was Jade, and she is the most beautiful pegasus I've ever seen, I will try to ask her to dance at the Crystal Ball." Princess Cadence's ears perked up as soon as she herd the name Jade, Shining Armor looked at her, worried for his wife. "Uh. honey are you okay, you looked worried." said Shining Armor "Well, that name, Jade, it sounds so familiar." said Cadence "Well let's try not to worry about it, remember we are here to find out the truth." "Right." Sombra, his guards, and the ghost ponies stopped at what looks like a dead end. There in front of everypony was a massive door with old skeleton ponies, and strange hieroglyphs on the door. "King Sombra, what are these strange hieroglyphics on the door, it doesn't look too familiar to me." said Captain Shimmer. "Hmmm.....well....it's a bit vague but I think these are markings from Neighsia. Yes I think this is the language from the group of neighsans called the Neighhongo. I think if I can read this right, "Only the power of rulers may open the way". Alright so what I think is that only the ruler of the Empire may open it, still I think we may have already made a discovery, the Neighongo were first to inherit the Empire." Sombra explained "Wow sir, that's amazing, how did you know how to read this language?" asked Sargent Glass "Well when i was just a young colt, I had to learn almost everything, and since I was in royalty I had to learn almost every language there was, my tutors were trying to turn me into a Mare E. Sue, luckily I survived that royal pain in the flank." Sombra explained. All the guards chuckled, as did Sombra. After their quick laugh Sombra got into a battle ready position and used his magic on the door, it was extremely heavy and hard to move, harder than defeating an ursam major. The door opened and Sombra collapsed to the ground gasping for air, the guards came to his aid. "Sir are you okay? Are you hurt?" announced Shimmer "Y-Yes, It took a lot of magic." Again everything changed, the scene and scenario changed, our ghost ponies now found themselves in a black crystal room, inside they found that there was a black crystal version of the crystal heart, the ponies had also found King Sombra and his guards, though something was strange, they looked older. Pinkie zoomed in to Sombra face and zoomed back to her friends. "Hey Twilight, why does Sombra look a lot older?" asked Pinkie "Hmm I think we transported a few more years in the past." said Twilight. King Sombra and his guards sat there and just stared at the black crystal heart. "So King Sombra, It's been 3 years since you married Jade, when are you going to have a foal?" asked Shimmer "Heh, well truth is, she just became pregnant." Sombra announced Everypony, even the ghost ponies gasped in excitement at Sombra's news. "So what are you going to name your foal, and what type is it?" "Well we haven't decided on a name yet, and Jade recently got pregnant." "King, I think we've finally found out how to break that barrier." announced Private Mirror. "Barrier?" thought the ghost ponies. "What is it Mirror?" "Over here, I think it's more neighongo. Can you translate it sir?" "I can try." said Sombra. Sombra examined the language and came with a conclusion. "Only magic as black and as night may unleash it's heart." Sombra read. "Black magic? The only magic that is black I know is anger and despair.......Gaurds! Stand back, I'll need to do something dangerous." The guards nodded following his command and stood back. Sombra closed his eyes, his eyes became green, and had a dark purple aura, he then shot a dark beam of magic at the barrier which shattered to pieces. "All right, time to make contact with this black heart." "Sir are you sure? It might be a trap." "Well how else are we to discover it's wonder." Sombra approached the black crystal heart with extreme caution. He slowly reached out his hoof towards the heart to make contact. With a single tap, the heart shattered into a million pieces. Everypony just stared into the pile of dust, of what was now the black crystal heart. Nothing happened, no traps, nothing. "Well that was disappointiieuuuuuuuu..." Suddenly time stopped, Everything was black with lines of white inclines. Sombra was confused, he waved a hoof up close in front of Shimmer's face, no response. Not only could Sombra feel time stop, but the ghost ponies could witness time being frozen. "Psssssssssst". A voice was heard, Sombra felt a chill on his back, he looked behind him, but all he could see was the entrance to the room. "Heh....Over here my toy. Sombra looked over to the shattered heart, A black purple mist flowed out from the shattered heart, a crystal unicorn with a coat black as Luna's night and a black gray mane flowing up like fire appeared right before Sombra's eyes. Sombra readied a position and lit up his horn, eye glared at the black unicorn with daggers in his eyes. "My....Such a bad dent you are." "WHO ARE YOU, IDENTIFY YOURSELF." Growled Sombra "Heh, well...I know who you are King Sombra." Sombra became unsteady, he knew who he was. "Tch...but if you must know, the Neighongo called me Vex." Vex snickered and galloped straight towards Sombra. He shattered into a millions of pieces like shattered glass and flew inside Sombra's nostrils, ears, and mouth. Sombra screamed in pain as Vex traveled throughout the inside Sombra's body. Sombra's was on the ground curled into a ball of pain. He opened his eyes, purple aura came of his eyes, his mane turned black, and his voice changed. "Yes. YES! This is the perfect toy for me." Vex had taken over Sombra. Vex violently shook his head changing from dark to light. "NO, YOU WILL NOT! CONTROL ME!!!" "YES I WILL!" "WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO WITH ME! HUH!?" "HA I WILL DESTROY YOUR REPUTATION!" "NO!" Sombra was enraged, we didn't want his subjects to suffer, especially under his own hoof. "YES. YES!!! SHOW ME ANGER!!!" The color of the world came back, Sombra's guards regained consciousness. Captain Shimmer found Sombra maniacally laughing to himself. "King Sombra, are you okay?" "Graagghh, crystals, crystal hearts!" Vex Sombra screamed as he summoned black crystal impaling all of the guards killing them. "NOOOOOO!!!" Sombra screamed as he was trapped inside his own mind. Twilight and her friends were horrified, this was the truth about King Sombra. They were then transported to a different scene. They were in a hospital room, they found a lone pegasus mare holding a small foal in her hooves. She had a bright green coat and a grassy green mane. A doctor came inside to meet the mare. "Ms. Jade Are you sure about this?" "Yes, Sombra may be gone but I know he would want this." The patient known as Jade, who was also Sombra's wife had given the foal to the doctor. Cadence squinted her eyes, the foal looked familiar to her. As Jade was about to let go of her hooves she led out tears and said a few words. "Goodbye Mi Amore Cadenza, always know that me and Sombra will always love you." She said as the doctor took the foal and brought the foal to a room that labeled Isolation chamber. The doctor walked inside and put the foal inside a chamber with a glass shielding. Before the doctor could close the chamber a loud shoat came from what sounded like corrupted Sombra. "GRAAAAAAHHH!!!!!! CRYSTAL HEARTS!!!!!" The doctor sighed and spoke to the foal. "Look kid, you should know I am against Equestrian law to do this, but you are our only hope against Vex. You should never forget about your parents, but you are. Sorry kid but it was addressed by your mother Jade and your father Sombra. Celestia and Luna would probably find you but you'll forget about your parents by then. Good luck kid." The doctor said as he closed the chamber and pressed a red button. The foal inside gave a long yawn and fell asleep, the chamber then began to freeze. Sombra was banished, Jade was killed by Vex and the Princesses had triumphed Vex, or Sombra which is what they thought. A bright light flashed in front of Twilight and her friend's eyes. Twilight slowly opened her eyes, she found herself inside Sombra's private room inside the library. She found her friends also lying unconscious on the floor, she quickly looked under her and her friends, nopony was a ghost, thank Celestia. Eventually everypony awoke from the visions, Cadence's face was horrified from the last visions. Her husband came close to her hugged her, she cried all over his shoulder, she never realized that King Sombra was her father. Everypony gathered around her comforting her. "So you know the truth, well I'm sorry my dear daughter." Sombra's aura reappeared, he sounded depressed as he was sorry for Cadence. " I am so sorry, I wanted to see you, but the only way I saw you was anger towards me. In a way I'm proud of you." "It's-" *sob* "It's okay dad, It wan't your fault, how could nopony remember you as a good leader? Everypony said that you were always born to be evil, that you killed Queen Diamond to take the throne." "Let me explain, Vex had control of my body and empire. He knew that we would be eventually defeated, but he wanted be to suffer, he casted a spell so powerful that it would effect the princesses. Nopony could remember who I was only making me rage and powering him up. As soon as he casted the spell, my whole empire defiled and bowed to me in slavery. Vex eventually spread some rumors that destroyed my reputation." Twilight walked over to Sombra placing a hoof on his wisp. "Sombra, if there's anything you need, we'll do it." Twilight was determined to help a poor old suffering soul. Nopony deserves what Sombra had gone through. Sombra floated towards Cadence who was still sobbing for finding the truth. "Cadence, my daughter, know that I will always love you. Your mother always loved you and gave you life. She sacrificed herself in order to save you. I unfortunately had lost you, but know this. If it wasn't for us, what would you have now? You wouldn't have a great husband, or an empire to rule along with loyal subjects who trust you." Shining Armor had smiled towards Sombra, he had trusted him more than ever now. Sombra then displeasure into oblivion, he had no more information to share, he had told them everything. "Wait!" yelled Twilight Sparkle. Sombra reappeared, Twilight approached him. "What should we do about the citizens of the empire? Can we try to help them remember you?" "The only way they'll get their memory back is if Vex and I pass. We are bound together into one, and their memories are locked within their mind." And with those last words, Sombra disappeared. Shining Armor walked over to Twilight putting a shoulder over Twilight. "Twilight, I now know the truth. You are my sister and I will stay by your side on this quest." "So will I." followed Cadence "And me" "Me too YAY!" "Me too Darling." "Ah me to sugar cube." "Oh...um...me...to" "Alright everpony, lets save King Sombra!" All of Twilight's friends stayed by her side, let the quest for rest begin. Author's Note If your wondering what Neighhongo is, well first Nihongo means Japanese in Japanese, (lol IKR) and Nihon means Japan in Japanese, so yea combine the facts Nihon/Neighon and Nihongo/Neighongo, yea kinda sounds alike.
