Chapter 1: The Letter

Dear Princess Celestia,

This letter comes to you from a small town that calls itself Hoofvarlot. We have recently seen a stallion named Mystic Eye set up his Saddle Arabian style tent on the outskirts of town. He claims to be a mystic.

Of course we don't believe him but we don't know what he's doing in there. He is a unicorn but we don't know if he's using some other source to improve his magic, which could be dangerous.

If you could spare any time from your busy life then could you please send somepony to look into it?

Fretfully yours,

Lilac Hearts

Princess Celestia didn't get many letters that were hoof delivered. Plus this townspony could be exaggerating or lying to get the Princess's attenion. She may have been doubtful but she didn't like to take chances. But who was on short notice. Hmm... A sudden lightbulb went off. The first thing the Princess did was break the lightbulb, and then ask for a pen and inkwell.

Twilight was finally able to sit down. Rearranging Day was finally over. This was the day that she completely sorted through her whole library and put everything back in it's place.

"Morning Twi....URP!"

A small scroll came out of Spike's mouth. Twilight immediately picked it up and read the contents.

Spike stared at her. "What is it,Twi?"

Twilight gaped.

Spike blinked. "Well?"

"The... The... Princess Celestia wants me to go to some town and SPY on a stallion."

Spike stepped back. "Well that sounds wrong on so many levels."
