//-------------------------------------------------------// Highway to Insanity -by DarkMonkeyComicz- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Into Insanity //-------------------------------------------------------// Into Insanity Silver Racer wanted a break from loud town of Ponyville, so he deiced that he would move into his parents old home in the Everfree Forest, just for some air. Silver woke up from his deep slumber to a strange noise outside. Now Silver has been hearing these sounds every night, every since he moved into the old house. The noise was driving him insane, he just had to figure what was making the noise. So he got up from bed, and went out of the room, and went into the kitchen. He turned on one of his lamps, which caused a bright light to fill the room. He went to one of his counters and ducked down. He used his mouth to open up one of the cabinets, which had a Flashlight and some spare battery's. He pulled out the flashlight and battery's, then using his magic, he opened up the back of the flashlights, then carefully inserted the 2 battery's into the slots, then closing the flashlight lid again. He got up again and used his magic to hold the flashlight slightly above his head. He then headed toward the back door, grabbing the handle with his right front hoof. He twisted the handle and opened the door slowly, the door responded with a creaking noise. Once the door opened up fully, he went outside into the cold night. He used his back hoofs to close the door. He flicked the flashlight on, the flashlight made a bright light. He walked up to his gate, and opened the gate door. He went through the open gate door and closed it again. He shined the light around the spooky forest, a shiver ran down his spine as he looked at the strangely shaped trees all around him. He took a step forward toward the trees, knowing that he couldn't let something like a tree stop him from his investigation on this strange case He walked through the forest, shining the light around the place. He tried not to think about his fears that he has about the strange forest when he walked through it. He kept on walking straight until he came to a full stop. He stood there looking at a strange pole stuck into the ground. The pole had 6 ponies carved into it, but at the bottom of the pole, there was a seventh pony. The pony was carved taller then the other ponies, he couldn't make out the designs on the tall pony, because it was partly scratched off. As he examined the carvings, he felt a colder breeze coming from behind him and also the feeling of another ponies presence. He slowly turned his head around, shining the light behind him. But, there was no other pony there. He shrugged and turned back around toward were the pole should be, but the pole wasn't there any more. He all of sudden felt frighten of the sudden disappearance of the pole. He got up and looked around the forest. He had enough of it in this forest. He can just go back home and sleep, and figure this problem out tomorrow morning. He.galloped through the forest, down the same trail he had used to come here. He finally saw his house. He sped up and ran to the fences gate, opening it quickly with his hoof, and kept on running. He ran to the back door and put his hoof on the door knob. He began to twist and turn it. But the door did not open. He kept on trying until he gave up. He couldn't believe that he had locked himself out. He turned and ran back out through the gate and turned, running toward the front of the house. Once he met the front of the house, he turned and ran to the front door. He shined the light onto the door so he could see it better. Instantly, he froze and stood there. On the door, there was blood writing. The writing said 'Don't run'. Silver stumbled away from the door. He needed to get back to Ponyville as fast as he could. He turned himself around and sighed. Getting back to Ponyville would involve himself going through the Everfree Forest. He looked at the forest and got into running position. He was named Silver RACER for a reason. He was a fast pony, and he would need that speed to get to Ponyville. He stationed the floating Flashlight above his head. He looked at the ground and began to count down. '3...2...1...0!' he looked back up at the forest and went into full throttle. He bolted into the cold forest and dodged anything that was in his way. The flashlight bobbed up and down, which caused light to scatter all around his area. He felt confident in him self, that he could reach Ponyville. But soon, his flashlight began to flicker. He stopped and lowered the flashlight to in front of him. The battery's in the flashlight had just died. He gulped as he remembered that he didn't bring any spare ones. He stared at the flashlight. It was useless now. So he threw it to the ground and kept on running. Silver was out of breath now. He had been running around the forest for 20 minutes now, and not having a flashlight to guide you did NOT help. He slowed his pace down as his stomach roared. He leaned himself against a tree, kneeling down as he puked onto the ground. He lifted his burning head up. He felt as if he was slowly being devoured by a fierce fire, which of course was a painful death. His sight has been getting worse and worse by the minute. He was slowly becoming blind. He looked around his blurry area. He had to keep moving. He step forward, away from the tree he had been leaning on, but he only failed by crashing face first into the ground. He tried to get up but only to feel another hoof crash into his upper back. He winced as he slowly felt a burning pain fill into his back. He felt a hoof grip onto his mane, and he slowly felt his head being lifted up from the ground, and being twisted toward his foe. Silvers eyes widen when he saw the person. The stallion was about 6 hoofs tall, and he was wearing a cloak which covered his face. One of the ponies hoofs were gone, and was replaced with a sharp blade. The pony leaned his face down toward my face, nearing the blade toward the side of my head. Me and my foe said no words, just stared. Finally the foe said something. "Any final words?" He said up to my face. I gulped and replied with a weak voice. "Who.....are you?" The foe grinned "They call me...the Stalker..." With those final words I felt a sharp pain, almost like a painful pinch pierce the side of my head, then everything, went black. Author's Note Well, this was my first ever Fanfiction!
