Chapters [A/N] Welcome programs. I got your attention from the other story didn't I? Well guess what that story is gonna be on what I call a 'longer to post new chapters' hiatus. My first story for the new year. Lets get this pile of crap going.
I know the story. The story of how a little down on his luck musician had the opportunity to perform with Equestrias' most well-known DJ in the most famous cities. But it wasn't easy. He faced many hardships on the way. From psycho doctors, power-hungry unicorns, crazed griffins. However, our hero faced the challenge of facing the whole Changeling hive, including their Queen. But was our brave hero scared?* No, for he had risen up and defeated the Changelings and was named a hero.
How do I know all this crap? Well simple, Electronic Notes is my brother.
Waking up after a long night was always hard. Whether it be a big party, a one-night stand or you got slammed. But my reason was because I had a show last night. My name is Hard Chord and I sing for a metalcore band (both vocals). I have a light brown coat and a black messy mane that my brother tried to steal the look from. As I was saying, a show is always tiring, there is always a drunk guy, security colts are being assh*les to teenagers, but screaming you lungs out and then trying to sing is a challenge that most vocalists are faced with on a regular basis. But my brother got a "cheat sheet" when it comes to singing. Sure he doesn't do screamed vocals but he has it easy.
Now you all may have heard how my brother got that computer chip stuck in his throat but who do you think screamed loud enough to get attention from our mother. We both got our cutie marks that day. Mine was a microphone with tiny lighting bolts around it.
Speaking of my brother, I wonder what he's up to?
My vision blurred as I opened my eyes. I looked and saw that I was just simply back at my apartment living room/kitchen on the couch. I felt a weight on my chest that felt comfortable. Still drowsy I closed my eyes. That's when I began to feel the weight on my chest. It felt like a body of somepony. I looked to where I assumed the head would be and saw a pair of red eyes staring back at me.
"You wanna wake up now?"
"DAH" I yelped in surprise. I instantly knew who it was. It was my marefriend Vinyl Scratch. I still can't believe that it's been two years since I met her. Yet to this very day she still looks as beautiful as the day I first saw her.
Vinyl only giggled that made more enchanted by her. Her hooves found their way on to my head, playing with my mane.
"Sorry babe. Didn't mean to startle you."
"Well I'm still sleepy."
"Well then lets get up." She was about to get off me before I spoke up.
"Why, I'm already nice and comfy here." I put my hooves around her to prevent her from getting up. She only tried to get up once or twice before she relaxed on my chest. Without saying a word, she only raised her body to my level and I pulled her in for a kiss. But before our make-out session could get heated, a voice called to us that made us stop
"You two just don't care where you are do you?"
We didn't bother to look up since we knew who it was.
"Tavi, it's our apartment. I think we can make-out on the couch, in the shower or on the kitchen table if we wanted to."
"Vinyl! We eat on this table and we bath in that shower."
"Well while we get dirty, we can clean each other at the same time." I added.
Octavia looked down and said. "I don't think I can ever go in there without that though again."
I leaned back and said, "You wanna hear my comment about eating on the table."
She only looked confused responded, "I don't get it."
I only looked back at Vinyl and said quietly, "Alright we still have the table." Vinyl tried her best not laugh loudly for Octavia to hear.
Suddenly Octavia piped up, "Vinyl it appears we have run out of milk I need you to fetch some more for us please?" She asked.
Well damn, I don't like to be to far from Vinyl. A simple run to the grocery store doesn't require me to tag along since it would only slow her down. But this is perfect. I needed time with Octavia alone so she could help me with something.
"Alright." She turned to me and ruffled my mane. "You just stay here and get your rest." She said in a fake motherly tone. "You've earned it from last nights show. You were so tired that only made it to the couch."
She walked to the door with a bag of bits. Before she stepped out into the warm spring air, she turned around and gave me a peck on my cheek. My cheeks glowed a light pink as she walked away. Even after two years of being with her, I am still awestruck by her in every way.
"Wow. I can't believe that after these years. You are still head over hooves in love with her."
I turned and said it without question or anything just simply, "You need to help me find a ring for her."
Octavia had to take a moment for that one to sink in. I knew what she was thinking.
"Are.... are you.... are you really going to ask her?"
"Yes. I was hoping that we could go to the park and I would ask her."
"Well why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Because Tavi, you're horrible at keeping secrets."
"I can keep a secret."
"No Tavi. When we first met, you blabbed out that Vinyl was excited to work for me. When I talked to her later that day, she said and I quote 'Well she wasn't supposed to say that'."
Octavia only blushed and rubbed the back of her head.
"Also, since Vinyls' parents aren't here anymore, the closest person I could ask the blessing for is you."
"Well why me though."
"I thought that maybe you would be the one to say 'oh thank Celestia. that means I won't have to deal with her anymore. Plus I can get rid of this joker and kill two birds with one stone'." Octavia was laughing so hard, she was afraid the neighbors would complain.
After wiping away a few tears, she looked at Notes and said "You have my blessing completely. I think you're the perfect stallion for Vinyl."
"Really, you think so?"
"Of course darling. You're funny, handsome, and you both play similar music."
"Thanks."
"Now tell me, is there anything you like me?"
I knew this was going to be hard. As we stepped out the door, I knew what I liked about her.
"Well I'm sure your gonna help me pick out one hell of a ring."
It was perfect. The sun was setting as Vinyl and I were on the bench at the park. There wasn't a lot of ponies around so it was quiet.
"It looks beautiful out tonight."
"The perfect night for the perfect mare." I said back to her.
Vinyl smiled and nuzzled my neck. I knew that now was the time to ask.
"Hey let me up please." I said as I tried to get off the bench. I fell off and landed on my forehoof. I bent my left hind hoof and got on my right hind hoof as I clutched my right fore hoof with my wing."
"Oh my gosh. Are you alright?" Vinyl asked concerned.
"I don't know. I think I broke it. Can you check it for me?" I said as I held my hoof out to her.
"Yeah let me see." As her face got closer, I moved my wing out of the way to reveal a box with a diamond ring. Vinyl gasped as her mouth hung open.
"Will you marry me?"
Vinyl began to laugh as she pulled me into hug with tears in her eyes.
"Yes." was all she could get out from her laughter of happiness.
Well the coffee shop was quiet. Where are all the teenagers that usually hang around this place. There were only a few here. I couldn't help but notice one of them who was sort of the background guy of the group. He would say a thing or two that occasionally the group would acknowledge. But he still sat there. He reminds me of Notes. He always had a hard time fitting in. I lost track of my thoughts until a pony burst into the place and ran over to the group of kids.
"Guys, I just heard DJ PON-3 and Electronic Notes are getting married!"
Well thanks to my brother, looks like I got a wedding to go to.
"Son of a bitch."
Author's Note
* Fallout 3 reference, there was a kid that needed to go to "big town" and on the way he kept telling stories that always had that line or something similar. Lucky for me, he got decapitated by a Yao guai.

Hard Chords' p.o.v.
2 weeks later
I knew that in my mailbox there would be a wedding invitation that I knew wasn't made by the techno-y music couple. It had the fancy ribbons and all that sh*t. I don't know why i'm invited in the first place anyways. My bother and I haven't talked in years. Plus the last thing I heard him say to me was "I hope I never bucking see you again."
Anyways the wedding is in a week in the town Ponyville. My band is forbidden to even step hoof in that town so I think this will be the time to relax and watch my brother make an ass out of himself. I looked back at the invitation and opened it. There was a little message written in there.
Guess what buddy? You're the best stallion. That means that you have to leave by tomorrow.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! This is gonna be great. They better be serving popcorn cause my speech will guarantee to make him look down in shame. I'm so excited that i'm already packing up. Getting my ticket and am on my way as we speak. It was fast I know. I inherited my fathers fast wings.
I could hardly keep my excitement. My brother clearly doesn't want this wedding to go accordingly since I've been invited. I screwed up his dates with mares and screwed up mine. It was a constant game of Spy vs. Spy. Just as beat him at something I realized that I broke a wing or as he's about to win at something I punch him in the face.
I was on the early train that was gonna arrive by eleven. I think Notes was supposed to leave on the next train since I think I saw him as the train pulled out of the station. I thought about waving back but that would ruin the surprise when he gets there and see's me waiting for me. The look on his face will be priceless.
Did I tell you about my lip piercing. Yep, got a lip ring on my left side of my bottom lip. Man was my dad pissed. He said that only girls get their lips pierced. I said that it depends on what lip he's talking about. I'm shocked he didn't pull it out in my sleep. My little brother found joy in putting magnets on it. At first it was funny since I thought of doing that, but as he got older he tried pulling it off with magnets.
The train pulled into the station after an hour. Stepping off, I noticed the weather went from overcast at Canterlot to right and sunny in Ponyville. Before I could take two steps out of the train before a pink blurred zoomed up to me.
"Hi I'm Pinkie Pie. I see your new here. What's your name?"
"Hard Chord."
"Neato. By the way, you look a lot like my friend who's getting married here in a week."
"I know. I'm his brother."
Pinkie gasped at my statement. "I didn't know Electronic Notes had a brother. He never said anything."
Big shock there. I only muttered "Boy I wonder."
"Tee hee. You're funny. Come on we need to find the others."
We went around to I was shown the sights where some ponies lived. We arrived at where she worked and also lived there were a few ponies there that she said I needed to meet since some they were a few of the bridesmades.
"Okay. This one here is Fluttershy." She said pointing at a butter colored Pegasus with a pink mane and tail. I couldn't get a good look at her face since she hid behind her mane. Pinkie whispered in my ear that she was shy. Yeah, extremely.
Then she moved on to a country pony with a cowboy hat named Applejack. Unlike the last one, she seemed excited to meet somepony new. Then there was Rainbow Dash. The moment I heard her name I wanted to 'naw really' but I kept quiet. She was really energetic and seemed intent on racing me.
"Wait guys, where's Twilight and Rarity?" Pinkie asked.
"Rarity is busy with the dresses and Twilight is stressing out over planning." Rainbow Dash said.
"You can't blame Twilight. The princess is coming for the vows." Fluttershy added
"Wait, the princess is coming." Those words made me think of every bad thing I've done in my life.
"Yeah. She knows Electronic Notes as a hero from defeating those Changelings." Rainbow Dash said. Before I could say another thing, Pinkie grabbed my hoof and began to pull me out the door.
"Come on. You need to meet the rest."
Before I knew it I was outside what was 'Carousel Boutique.' We trotted inside to see a unicorn mare with a snow colored coat and a purple mane and tail.
"Why hello there darling." She said in an accent. "Who might you be?" Before I could answer, Pinkie Pie spoke up.
"He's the grooms brother and best stallion. His name is Hard Chord."
"Oh thank Celestia. I needed the groom by today or I wouldn't get all my work done in time for the wedding."
"What do you need me for?"
"I need to take your measurements for your suit." She said as her magic fetched some measurement tape.
After that, we were off towards a library. Pinkie assured me that we weren't there to read. We walked into see a mare writing down notes.
"Hey Twilight there's somepony here you have to meet."
"Pinkie I don't... have...time." She seemed to have been amazed by something. She starred at me with bright eyes.
"Hi... my name is Twilight Sparkle." She said with her voice shaking.
"I'm Hard Chord."
"I'll leave you two alone."
"So I hear your the best stallion."
"Yeah."
"So... are you prepared for your speech?"
I could tell that she was shy. Not Fluttershy shy but I don't think this was her normally. Wait does she ha-
"Guys! The couple just arrived on the train."
An evil grin came upon my face as I took off towards the station.
Electronic Notes' p.o.v.
"Vinyl did we really need to invite my brother?"
"Yes."
"Did we really need to make him best stallion?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure he would know if we poisoned his drink?"
"For the one hundredth time, no but I won't let you do it anyway. Why do you and your brother not get along well?"
"Because the colt is out to get me."
"Pff Whatever."
"Come on. We're here."
We gathered our things and got ready to get off. As I got off the train I knew something was off as I looked at our welcoming party. That's when my eyes went wide when I saw my brother standing there with a devious grin on his face.
"I had a feeling you'd be here."
"The psychos haven't been caught have they!" He yelled back.* As Vinyl was already talking with the bridesmaids, I approached him. He put a hoof around me and said,
"Good to see you again brother." With a wicked grin.

[A/N] Went to gamestop today and saw a kid from my school. I was out of there faster than Rainbow Dash herself. Next chapter.

"So bro, how long has it been? 2 months, 3 months?"
"3 years." He answered.
"Well what happened in those '3 years'."
"Where do I start, Well I met a girl, she's right over there." He said, pointing at Vinyl. "I went on tour. Was nearly killed on several occasions. Had to defeat Changelings to make sure your dumb ass wasn't their next victim. I finally settled down and now getting married to the love of my life."
"How's dad?"
"Hasn't said much last time I saw him."
"Say anything about me that was nice for once?" If you hadn't figured out by now, dad and I weren't the best of pals. He was hoping for a sweet, innocent colt that did sports and went outside. Happy opposite day dad.
"Well he did say that it was better now that you weren't around anymore."
"Whatever makes that old coot happy. He coming the wedding?"
"Naw man. He found out who I was marring, where the wedding is, and that you were coming and said 'screw that'. But I think mainly cause of you"
"Color me shock. Maybe I might do the same for his funeral?"
"Thats awful!" I turned to see Twilight glaring daggers.
"Twilight you should know that Hard Chord here wasn't in good terms with our father growing up."
"Why?"
"Cause my father needed to have a son with a clean mane." I shook my mane around to make it even more messy." No piercings which was shot dead out the sky when I was sixteen so that's said and done, and my choice of hobby which is what my cutie mark represents, also my choice in music, Metalcore, of course any music with screaming in it is considered garbage to my parents but my dad hated it to the point that he disowned me at the age of seventeen."
Twilights' mouth hung open after hearing that last statement. "I'm...sorry... I didn't know it was that bad between you two." She looked down feeling bad. I tried to raise her spirits.
"Hey you didn't know about it. Plus you hardly know about my relationship with my brother, or at this point it's more of a relationsh*t." She giggled at the statement.
"At least I have a relationship."
"That's because you asked every mare I brought home, 'am I gonna be cousin in nine months?'. You were lucky that most of them though you were cute."
"Cute? I was a year younger than you. They were trying to hook up with me behind your back. I think they were-"
"No way you could score back then. You can hardly score now"
"Bull, I'm getting married."
"You got lucky with the damn auto-tune chip in your throat."
"But screaming all the damn time gets you some."
"More than you could dream of. By the way, I can also sing idiot."
Before our argument could get personal, Twilight stepped in with Vinyl.
"Woah there. Alright it seems there is some sort of sibling rivalry going on here. Maybe we should go get a bite to eat at Sugarcube Corner."
"Vinyl and I need to check into the hotel first. We'll catch up." Notes said as he got his luggage and hurried off. It looked like the rest were off to work somewhere since they just left suddenly. Some with mischievous grins on their faces.
"Looks like it's gonna be you and me for a while." I said to the only one there, Twilight. The moment I said that her cheeks glowed red. I think I get it now. Twilight has a crush on me. I wasn't one to take advantage and embarrass her because of it. Not like my brother and I did. I probably lucked out as much times as he got shot down.
"Come on lets go." I said snapping her out of her thoughts.
We trotted through town, my mind drifted to Twilights' crush on me. Did she really fell that way. I glanced over at her. She did look pretty but I did just meet her. I'm not a mare who's emotions change when they see a good looking stallion. Maybe I'll give it time until the wedding and then I'll see what I feel.
We arrived there with Pinkie working at the front.
"Hey you two. What will it be?
"A slice of Cherry Pie Pinkie."
"Great. And you?" I looked at the menu and knew what I wanted almost instantly.
"Cinnamon Roll Please."
"Okie dokie lokie. Find a place to sit and I will be there shortly with your food."
Well we sat down. The place was a bit busy. A few ponies were there to get food and leave while some were hanging around with a group of friends. Twilight stuck up a conversation.
"So tell me about yourself."
"Well there isn't much to say that you haven't heard."
"I guess your right about that. Sorry about that."
"You apologize a lot."
"Sorry it's a bad habit of mine."
"Well what about you. What's your story?"
"Oh I'm sure you don't want to hear it."
"Nonsense. We have time. Plus we can't be complete strangers for long can we?"
She sat that their and began to tell me about herself. She said that she was a bookworm and that her only friend was her brother, who was captain of the royal guards. She went on to tell me the rest of her life leading up to moving to Ponyville.
"Wait you're Princess Celestia's personal student." She nodded her head.
"Tell me is she as much as a joker as they say she is?"
"Well she wasn't a complete joker. But she liked to have fun every now and then."
"Interesting. So is she really coming for the wedding?"
"Yes. She owed Electronic Notes a favor after he defeated those Changelings."
"He must have waited a long time to drop that one. I could only imagine her reading the letter and going 'damn it. Completely forgot about that.' She's probably thinking about dropping the whole thing."
Twilight was laughing at his mock of the Princess. Pinkie brought our food and we ate.
"Hey do you know where you're going to stay?" Twilight asked.
" Well I might stay at the hotel, but i'm afraid that I'm gonna hear the soon to be couple in their intimate moment."
"You could stay with me!" Twilight nearly yelled.
"If you want?" Blushing from how loud she was.
"Are you sure. Cause I could sleep in a tree if you want?"
Twilight giggled and said, "The library is in a tree so I think that might be a yes."
We were already on our way there when she asked so we got there rather quickly. When we walked on, I saw a baby dragon sweeping up the place. He looked and saw me with Twilight and as he gave a 'are you kidding me?' look.
"Twilight I thought the brides maids weren't supposed to date the groom."
"Spike!" She scolded. I actually laughed at that statement.
"I like him." I said. Spike seemed to smile at that statement.
"No Spike this is the grooms' brother, Hard Chord."
"Sup." I waved to him.
"He will be staying with us."
"Alright Twilight."
"Oh and by the way, Rarity needs you for measurements on your suit."
That dragon was gone man. I mean out the damn door before it closed gone.
"I've never seen a dragon move that fast for his size."
"Well he's got a crush on Rarity."
Speaking of crushes.
"Well there is a spare bedroom next to mine that you can take."
"All right thanks."
The moon lit the sky as I stepped out onto the balcony. There I saw Twilight reading a book.
"You know it's getting late. Ya' might want to get some sleep."
"After this chapter." She said. Not even looking up from her book. I stepped out and looked up at the sky, the stars were bright and the moon was a crescent.
"It looks beautiful out tonight."
"Yep." Twilight still didn't take her eyes away from the book.
"What did I just say?"
"You look beautiful tonight."
"Twilight repeat what you just said."
Twilight began to mumble it. She stopped and her face turned red.
"I meant the night sky. But if you are the night sky, keep it up."
Twilight giggled and yawned. I went back inside to use the bathroom. When I came back out I saw that she had fallen asleep. I picked her up and hovered to her bed with my wings. Spike was sound asleep so I had to be quiet. I placed in the bed and tucked her in. I went back and got her book and placed on her desk on open on the page she left it on.
Just as I walked out of her room, I turned around and looked at her. She had a smile on her face.
"Sweet dreams Twilight."

Hard Chords' p.o.v.
I woke up as usual. It's always weird waking up in a bed that isn't in your home. I got up and assumed that no one else was up since it was dead quiet. Before I could make the assumption that Twilight and Spike were either murdered or kidnapped, Spike opened the door to my room.
"Oh your awake." He said.
"Yeah. Is Twilight still sleeping?
"Yeah. Come on. I'm making breakfast downstairs."
My stomach rumbled at the mention of food. Without saying anything I got out of bed and followed Spike downstairs. It smelled like pancakes. My mouth watered at the very smell.
"So are you like Twilights' slave or something?" I asked. Spike seemed to catch on that it was a bit of a joke.
"No I'm her personal assistant." He said. The baby Dragon looked back at me and said "I think Twilight had a crush on you."
"Tell me something I don't know." I responded with a chuckle. It became obvious after my first day here.
"Well she did a bad job on hiding it." He said jokingly.
"You're one to talk."
"What do you mean?"
"You did a piss-poor job hiding yours last night."
"What crush?" He said trying to act confused but failing miserably at it. He sounded more nervous than fake-confused.
"Dude don't even try to hide it." I said, sounding like a teenager talking to his friend. "You have a crush on that one unicorn. What's her name again?" I asked. I knew her name but I decided to embarrass the little dragon.
"Rarity." He said shyly. His cheeks were bright red.
"Don't worry buddy. We all have a first crush."
"What gave it away?" He asked defeated.
"Probably when you took off out the door at the mention of her needing you. You took off so fast I looked and saw a trail of fire where you walked. You appeared in a ball of flames in the living room." I said in a comedic tone. Spike knew I was joking and was laughing pretty hard.
"The pancakes are almost done. Could you go wake up Twilight for me please?"
"Sure thing little buddy."
I remembered where Twilights room was when I went upstairs. When I opened the door, She was laying with her mane slightly messy from her pillow. She looked cute as she slept.
'Wait what. Hmph maybe she will get a dance at the wedding.'
As I approached her bed, I noticed she was mumbling in her sleep. She had a soft smile on her face and I think I heard my name being said. Before she could say something else that would make for an awkward breakfast, and before her dream could get to spicy, I shook her lightly with my hoof.
"Twilight. Wake up." I said softly. She stirred up and opened her eyes and when she saw me starring at her she blushed and tried to look away but she kept starring at me.
"Come on Sparkles. Lets eat breakfast."
We went back downstairs and saw Pancakes on three plates with Spike already eating his food. We sat down and smelled the Pancakes. Before I could die of hunger from smelling good food, I got maple syrup and poured some on my Pancakes. I ate them fast after that... and they were delicious. Spike and I were full while Twilight was eating at a slow and steady pace so she won't want to pass out like me and Spike.
"So Twilight any plans for today?"
"Well I thought we could both meet Notes and Vinyl for lunch later."
"Well what time."
"I was thinking of meeting them at their hotel."
"Aw no. I'm to afraid that I'm gonna see a 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. I won't get that thought out of my head."
Twilight giggled and said "Why don't you ask them."
I realized that the room was brighter with more sun in here. The air was cooler. I looked and saw the door open.
"Buddy you'd think with somepony who couldn't leave a sock on the door would know that at least I have some common courtesy for you to know not to disturb." A hoof was around my shoulders.
"Hey there bro. How was your night?" Before he could speak, I interrupted him "Don't answer that."
There we sat at a table at a fancy eatery. The sky was cleared of clouds and the sun gave the air a warm feeling with a cool breeze. I love spring time weather. It was so peaceful for a colt like me that was anything but peaceful.
"So tell us about your guy's relationship."
"See man I knew that when we saw each other, and I'm no hippie, but I knew they would sense some 'negative vibes' between us."
"Well you two have been distant since you haven't seen each other in three years."
"Because we have different hobbies." We really didn't want to talk about it.
"Well there has to have been some bond between you two?" Twilight asked.
"Well there was this one time..."
ten years ago
"Come on bro it lightly snowed! We got to go man!"
"Crap" I said as I got up. We were out the door and flying towards our school. When we got there we saw a few others already there.
"Come on people. It's a snow day. We won't go to school!" I screamed as foals began to pile up snow at the entrance to our middle school. We were both in our early teen years and we were still immature and stupid. But we knew how much hell high school would be.
Grown ups occasionally stop and either yell at us cause we were resisting to go to school. Others liked our creativity and gave us a smile as we worked. I think they admired our dedication.
However through the small layer of snow we managed to barricade the door. Celebration was short case when one of the 'workers' started shouting and began to run like crazy. I looked up and almost peed myself. There stood Princess Celestia smiling at us. By now I think she too admired our dedication but I thought she was gonna start taking us all back to a dungeon or something like a 'natural selection' kinda thing sorta like a movie where at the end only a few are left after they escaped from the monster.
"RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I was scarred as I took off. I saw my brother look like he was gonna fight her to save the others. I yelled for him to run and he took off with me and a few other kids. By the time we hid in an alley way, there was an earth pony and two unicorns and another Pegasus besides me and my brother. For all we know we were the only ones to not be taken.
After that it we never heard what Celestia did and we didn't hear from the kids we didn't see running. We saw them around but no word from them. We hung out with the kids we met while running for 'our lives'.
Present Day
"And to this day we still are afraid of Celestia."
"I thought you were nervous at that party two years ago." Vinyl said to Notes.
"I remember hearing about that. Celestia thought it was funny at how terrified you all were. Some of them began to bow to her in hope that she would have mercy. You were all a bunch of cowards that day."
"Well when the ruler of Equestria comes by when your doing something that adults yelled at us for, We had every right to run like hell."
"Well ask if she remembers you when she comes for the wedding rehearsals."
"Speaking of which, I think two of those ponies we met are coming for the wedding."
"Well it will make for one awkward Reception. 'Hey you're those kids who ran from me' oh I remember I got a good work out that day only to find out you did nothing."
Twilight giggled and said, "Well I have a feeling that it will be one of the most fun I've had at a wedding." She looked towards the couple and said. "Congratulations you two."
"Thanks Twilight." We grabbed our Drinks. "Cheers."

New arrivals meet old rivals.
[A/N] Little heads up Programs, this chapter is told in a third person point of view.
The train pulled into the station as a few visitors piled out as they recognized Ponyville as their stop. A few got out and saw family waiting for them and greeted them with hugs while others began made their way to a hotel or a friends home to visit.
One pony in particular got off the train. He had a a green coat with a dark orange mane. He had horn on his head and a burst of magic for a cutie mark. He was nervous around crowds and getting off the train and away from everypony was the one thing he planned to do. He looked and saw that the sky was filled with dark clouds. Weather Pegasi knew about the upcoming wedding and made sure that it would rain to get water to crops for farmers. It would probably be storming by night time.
As he nervously stepped off the train and out of the station, hoping that nopony would try tot talk to him, a pink blurred sped up to him and when it appeared it knocked him to the ground.
"Hey my friends told me to look for a pony that you." She said at a fast pace. The stallion on the ground looked at her with a gleam in his eye as he starred at her. She look beautiful in his eyes.
"Hello. Equestria to new friend. Hello?" he said knocking a hoof on his head to see if he was still there.
"Oh silly me. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Pinkie Pie. What's your name?"
Stuttering the pony had began to struggle getting up. Pinkie put her hoof out and lifted him up. When he got on his hooves he looked in Pinkies' eyes. He was lost at the blue color that seemed to enchant him. After starring for an awkward amount of time he to look away with a blush on his cheeks.
"uhm...I'm.. Nova Burst." He stuttered out. Pinkie was use to quiet ponies and could hear him easily enough. She then looked at Novas' flank and asked,
"What does your cutie mark mean?" Nova was blushing more as Pinkie inspected his flank.
"It means I have a skill in magic." He said.
"Just like my friend Twilight. She does all sorts of magic. You two would have been good together if she wasn't crushing on another pony.
"I never really wanted to date her." He said.
"Well is there anypony you do want to date." Pinkie asked. Unaware that Nova was embarrassed by the question.
"Uhm nopony." he lied. Before Pinkie could get a follow up question, Nova asked,
"So what do you do.?"
"Well I'm a baker and oh yeah my cutie mark means that I'm good at throwing parties." Nova could tell that she was very energetic and was probably the local town celebrity.
"Come on lets go to Sugarcube Corner. It's where I work and live." She said as she grabbed his hoof and began to pull him off towards the bakery. When he got there, he saw a few ponies since the place was closed.
"Okay so there is only one of my best friends here. Her name is Applejack. She's here to get some food with a farm hand named-"
"Caramel!"
The ponys' ears perked up at the sound of his name being called. He turned and to the source of the voice.
"Nova?"
"Yeah it's me." He said. Caramel walked over to him. The two bumped hooves.
"Dude it's been forever. How have you been?" Caramel asked.
"Not much to say. After moving to Canterlot there really wasn't really anything new. I made a few friends ,one of them is getting married here, and I got my cutie mark for the magic skills I use to move around. He demonstrated when his horn glowed orange and he began to walk. As he walked, orange panels appeared above he ground right before he put his hooves down. He walked up a small staircase before hoping to the ground.
"So you two know each other?" Applejack asked pointing a hoof at them.
"Yep. Caramel and I knew each other when I lived in Manehatten. We were always rivals trying to beat each other at anything there was."
"Wow, I didn't know you two know each other. This is the second reunion so far for the wedding."
"Well I hate to tear two friends away but-" Applejack was cut off by a crack of thunder. "The storm is starting."
"Crap. Sorry dude I gotta get this food to Sweet Apple Acres. We'll catch up alright?"
"Right. See ya."
Caramel sprinted out the door. Applejack called to him but as he stepped out he slipped on some mud and fell on his back.
"I was gonna say you forgot the package." She had the package on the ground next to her that she brought over with her mouth. Quickly getting up, Cramel took the package and ran off with Applejack.
No sooner did the two leave that Hard Chord and Twilight burst through the door with Spike following.
"Pinkie we're here for the-"
"I know let me get the cake." She said as she went to the kitchen.
Hard Chord looked over. "Nova. How's it been?"
"Good." He said.
Twilight asked, "You two know each other?"
"Yeah. He was one of the ponies we ran from Princess Celestia with."
"Well nice to meet you. I'm Twilight Sparkle."
"I'm Nova Burst." He said nervously.
Pinkie Pie came back with a box. She gave it to Twilight. Hard Chord gave her a few bits and the trio took off.
That's when Nova realized that he couldn't make it to the hotel. Before he could find an alternative a voice spoke up behind him.
"Nova would you like to stay here for the night?" A stallion with a yellow coat and orange mane asked."
"Oh no sir. I'd hate to be a burden."
"Nonsense. Pinkie seems to like you a lot." Novas' cheeks went pink.
"Wrong choice of words?" He asked.
"Very.uh mister...?"
"Carrot Cake. Well what do you say?"
Nova was about to decline before Pinkie wrapped her hooves around her neck and hugged him.
"Please Nova."
"PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEE?"
"Alright I will."
"Yay come on I have a spare bed in my room. Come on." She said as she raced upstairs to her room. Before Nova could follow a hoof fell on his shoulder and he flinched on contact.
"I know how you feel." Carrot Cake said.
"What gave it away."
"I could tell you are a very nervous pony like me when I was your age. But you were even more nervous around Pinkie like how I was around my wife when I first met her."
"Listen I won't date her if you don't want me to."
"Woah slow down there. She isn't my daughter. Course if you wanted to date my daughter I'd have to send you to jail."
"That's comforting." Nova replied sarcastically.
"Now go get some rest."
Nova nodded and went upstairs.
Hard Chord ran with Spike on his back who held as he and Twilight ran through the rain.
"Come on we're almost there."
"Wait isn't the mud slippery." Spike said. As if an answer needed to have an example, Twilight slipped that even Hard Chord heard through the wind, thunder, and rain. He ran over Twilight and saw what looked like tears coming out of her eyes. Hard Chord looked and saw a rock near Twilights head.
"Spike go to the library we'll catch up!" Hard Chord screamed. Spike looked scared for Twilight but hopped off Hard Chords' back and ran to the library.
Hard Chord bent down and grabbed Twilights' hoof and dragged her across his back. He knew he couldn't run since that might shake her off his back. He went at a fast but steady pace. His hoof would slip out and he would quickly regain his balance.
They were both dripping wet by the time they got to the library. Hard Chord carried Twilight upstairs and put her into bed. He moved her mane out of the way and saw a bump where the rock must have hit her. Spike came in nervous.
"Spike I can handle her. She's alright, just hurt." Spike nodded and went somewhere. He came back with a blanket that looked warmer than hers. He laid it on the ground and looked just above it and blew fire out his mouth. The blanket was warmed and Spike put it around Twilight and then went into his bed.
Hard Chord went to go to his room but he noticed that Twilight wouldn't stop shivering. Hard Chord knew what he was gonna have to do as he turned off the light and instead crawled into bed with her. She stopped shaking less and hugged Hard Chord for warmth. Hard Chord wrapped his hooves around her to warm her and drifted to sleep.
"Pinkie where is the second bed?" Nova asked as he went upstairs to Pinkies' room.
"Oh it's right next to my bed." She said patting where Nova would sleep.
He was to tired to even think as he got into bed. His eyes shot open as he felt hooves around him.
"Pinkie what are you doing?"
"Hugging. Hugs are good Right? Do you want me to stop?"
Nova seemed to have a bit of courage as he responded.
"No."
"Thanks a bunch Caramel. I wouldn't have made it here in time before the rain ruined the package."
"Your welcome." He said as he put it down. He looked out and saw how hard it was raining. A pain filled his heart as he realized he would have to leave Applejack and into the cold rain.
"Caramel I think you're gonna have to stay in the guest room for tonight." Applejack said. An excitement filled Caramel as he was lead to his room.
"Thanks Applejack."
"No problem. Your almost like family to us."
Caramels' heart skipped a beat at those words.
"Well good night." She said.
"You too." He simply said. To awestruck for words.

Twilight opened her eyes but quickly shut them as a bright light shined from the sun through the window. As she rested her eyes she noticed that her head was hurting. She felt sick and the bed was damp. Also she was holding on to somepony in her bed that was hugging her back. She opened her eyes and when her vision focused she saw Hard Chord sleeping soundly with a soft, steady breaths.
Twilight began to wonder why he was in her bed. The last thing she remembered from last night was running to the library with Hard Chord and Spike. She didn't remember reaching the library but it became clear that they made it.
After thinking Twilight had a thought that made her heart sink in fear. Could she and Hard Chord have done...? Twilight felt even more sick at the thought.
'Oh Celestia this is bad. I could be pregnant. I won't be able to attend my studies. What if he leaves me for it? Will he remember when he wakes up? Am I gonna have to keep a secret from him if he doesn't know?' Twilights' thoughts rambled out all the possible outcomes.
Her eyes widened in fear when she heard Hard Chord stir around in his sleep. Twilight didn't think and quickly got out of bed to avoid a scene. She would have to tell him later about the child she thought she was baring. Then she looked down to Spike who was sleeping soundly in his basket. Could he have seen? Twilight decided to make some coffee while she sorts out her thoughts.
She was mostly kicking herself for not remembering it.
Electronic Notes woke up with a sharp pain poking his eye. It didn't take years of sleeping by her side to know that his finances horn had poked him in the eye again. Unlike his old behavior where he would complain about it, instead he learned to love it. He embraced his girlfriend and closed his eyes and just laid there and held her as his heart glowed. It was a ruby glow that only got brighter when he was closer to her.* He didn't want her to wake up cause then he'd have to let go.
"You're not gonna let me go are ya?" She asked since she had been simply closing her eyes after she woke up.
"Nope. You're ninety percent of the reason I wake up in the morning. The other ten percent is because I need to pee."
Vinyl laughed and began to kiss him in bed. Notes returned the kiss as his heart glowed brighter.
Nova Burst woke up early since the room had a dim orange glow coming through the windows. The sun hadn't risen fully up for the day. Nova began to slightly panic when he felt hooves around him. But he remembered that it was Pinkie who was just giving him a 'friendly hug' in his sleep.
"Boy that was fast." He heard a nasally voice say. Nova looked over to see Carrot Cake looking at him with a grin on his face.
"It's not what it looks like. Shut up." He gritted to avoid waking Pinkie up.
"Well why is she hugging you then?" He asked.
"I don't know. Doesn't she always hug?" He asked through grit teeth. Before Carrot Cake could give an Answer, Pinkie began to stir around.
"She's waking. Go, go." Nova gritted as Carrot Cake quickly stepped away. Pinkie opened her eyes and saw Nova pretending to close his eyes.
"Hey wake up. We have big day ahead of us. We need to be up and ready! We have the last grooms colt coming and we need to prepare for the rehearsal tomorrow and Celestia's coming!" Nova remembered the day he ran like crazy from her and met up with a few other ponies that later became his best friends.
"Alright I'm up." He said as he got out of bed. He and Pinkie walked downstairs to find both the cakes
"Good morning deary. I don't think we met. I'm Mrs. Cup Cake."
Nova tried to respond but flinch with a "Gah." He look down to see a baby Pegasus hugging his leg.
"Oh thats Pound Cake. He can be quite playful with new ponies." Cup Cake said.
"Come here Pound Cake." Pinkie said as she picked him up and placed him on Novas' back. The baby laughed and played around with Novas' mane as he walked over to the table and got a few donuts. Cup Cake took her son off his back and carried him over to his sister who Pinkie was playing with.
After eating breakfast, Nova was supposed to go to the Station to meet the last grooms colt. He made his way over there. Pinkie offered to come meet him thinking he was new, but Nova after said his name, Pinkie knew who it would be a surprise for.
Twilight tried rubbing her head to get the pain. It hurt even more on contact. While the slight fever went away, she still had the thought lingering in her head about last night. She didn't want to believe it but all the evidence stacked up.
"Hey." She flinched as a soft voice said from a top of the stairs. Hard Chord trotted down and went over to Twilight to inspect her. He wasn't aware of the thoughts in her head as he looked at her.
"How are you feeling?" He asked as he got himself coffee. Twilight didn't want to make it sound like she was feeling awful despite what she thought she did. She thought that he didn't remember last night either and didn't realize why he was in bed with her cause she left before he woke up.
"Good." She said as she sipped her coffee. She didn't want to sound like she was 100 %. That would arise suspicion.
"So what's on the agenda today?"
That's when Twilight went to Sugarcube Corner with Hard Chord looking nervous. She asked Pinkie Pie to gather the girls, grooms colts, and the couple and meet them there.
As they sat around waiting for the last of the grooms colt to arrive.
"So Twilight what was ever so important you had to take me away from making one of the last dresses?"
"You'll see Rarity. Just have to wait for the last grooms men." Twilight said. Her heart was racing as she thought about the reactions.
"So who's the last grooms colt anyway?" Rainbow Dash asked.
Electronic Notes knew it would surprise the hell out of Rainbow Dash and even whispered in his brothers ear to not tell her about him since she knew that the moment she saw him her jaw would hit the floor.
"Don't worry Rainbow. All you need to know is that he's a fast flier." Said Electronic Notes
"WHAT! He thinks he can beat me can he." She said.
"Well I never said that. I just said he was fast at flying."
"Well I am gonna give that punk a good lesson on why you should never mess with Rainbow Dash." She declared as she was about to speed at the door. Just as she got to the door, it swung open and when Rainbow Dash recognized the dark blue mane and light blue coat, her plot hit the floor instatly.
"Rainbow Dash I believe you've met my friend Soarin."
Soarin looked at her and gave a light smile. Her cheeks went pink as Soarin took a seat with her. Nova Burst followed in and sat down next to Pinkie.
"Alright now that everpony is here. I have an announcement." Twilight said, her voice shaking.
"I woke up this morning with a bad headache and a slight flu with no memory of last night. Seeing a certain Stallion in my bed lead to one conclusion." She took a deep breath.
"I'm Pregnant."
"Wait what."
"Way to score bro." Notes called out. Soon everypony was talking. Hard Chord realized that all the evidence did stack up towards that conclusion but he was gonna have to tell the truth.
"Shut up. SHUT UP!" He screamed in get the place quiet. He looked over at Twilight who had tears in her eyes.
"You're not pregnant Twilight."
"But I-"
"Let me finish. You slipped in the rain last night and hit your head on a rock. You're lucky that you have any memory at all. I carried you home and put you to bed but you wouldn't stop shaking. I had to give body heat to warm you."
Twilights' face was bright red after that. She realized how stupid she looked in front of her friends. Not knowing what to do, she ran out the door. Hard Chord had predicted this and chased after her.
Twilight ran to the bridge just over the river on the edge of town. She looked in to the river and stared at her reflection as her tears fell in to the river. She saw another reflection.
"Go away. Save me the pity of you yelling at me for embarrassing you in front of everypony."
"Twilight believe me. My brother has done worse to me then you would ever imagine."
Twilight looked at him in person. She ran to him and pulled him into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry for that though."
"Hey you had no memory from last night. I don't blame you for it."
Twilight didn't say anything. She turned her head and saw the sun rising over the horizon. Hard Chord didn't realize that Twilight let go of him but he kept holding her as they watched the sunrise.

After the sun was up and before ponies came out of their homes, Hard Chord and Twilight got up went back to Sugarcube Corner.
"Are you sure they won't say anything?" Twilight asked nervously. After she ran out, she was afraid of facing her friends again after the incident.
"Relax I told them not to say anything." Hard Chord responded. However his thoughts were elsewhere. He had seen girls with crushes on him before but for Twilight it seemed more like love from what he could tell. It raised the question if he felt the same way? While sure he did think she was cute, and he enjoyed holding her, on top of that he deeply cared for her. He remembered last night when she hit her head on a rock. That was when he remembered how he felt, he was scarred for her. That was one of the reasons he crawled in bed with her to warm her. She was just shivering like she had brain damage.
"Maybe I do like her?"
"What!" Twilight said.
'Sh*t, I always have a problem with saying things out-loud.'
"Sorry, thinking out-loud." Hard Chord said rather calmly. Yet he knew Twilight heard his words because of the way she acted. She was hoping that it was true. That he liked her back. Ever since she saw him she was more in love than she had ever been. Though Twilight had some crushes at school, this was the first time of being in love.
"Hey Hard Chord, get your flank up here and show these ladies how flying is done!" Hard Chord looked up and saw his brother and Soarin in the air with the the mares, Caramel and Nova sitting on the ground watching them.
"How come you never said you were friends with a wonderbolt?" Rainbow Dash asked, speeding up to Hard Chord at lightning fast speeds.
"I've only known you for five days." Hard Chord responded.
"Oh yeah, heh heh sorry." Rainbow said awkwardly. She dashed into the sky and was face to face with Notes.
"Why didn't you tell me you were friends with a wonderbolt?"
"It never came up." Notes said shrugging his hooves.
"Bull, I've told you I was a fan of the wonderbolts."
"Well clearly I wasn't listening then."
"I'm buck you in the throat so you don't have anymore talent." Dash threatened.
"Ow, damn that has to burn." Hard Chord called as he ascended to their height.
"Yeah Rainbow. Come on hit me in my talent." Notes said as he revealed his throat. "But wait, Soarin, would you let a good friend be hurt by your 'number one fan' cause I forgot to tell her we're friends."
Soarin had a smug grin on his face. "Why I'd never. My friends mean a lot to me. It would be a damn shame if Dashie here hurt my friend." Rainbow Dash blushed at the use of her pet name. "I might need to ban her from our shows."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Rainbow Dash screamed.
"Hey woah woah there I was kidding." Soarin said. Rainbow looked like she was on the verge of tears. Soarin realized how big of a wonderbolts fan she was.
"Listen how about a race and if I win then you gotta promise me an apple pie." Soarin said.
Rainbow Dash only had a sly grin on her face. "And if I win you have to do something for me. Privately." She gave emphases on the last word. Nearly all ponies watching knew what it meant but they decided not to embarrass another friend today.
"Alright you got yourself a deal." Soarin said as he reached out his hoof. He knew what Rainbow Dash wanted. She was a WONDERBOLT fan after all. Rainbow Dash took and shook his hoof and took a while before letting go.
Soon a starting gate was made out of clouds and Notes was holding his hoof up in the air.
"Alright I want a good clean race. No pushing or shoving. No distractions. No lethal take downs. If a rainboom or thunderboom, wonderboom, whatever Soarin calls his, is coming then just get the hell away from it since you may be blown away from it." Before Rainbow Dash could say at how blown away the audience will be, Notes stopped her, "No boasting Rainbow Dash."
"Hey!"
"Alright on your marks!" Rainbow Dash got in a ready position while Soarin put on his goggles.
"Get set!" The audience below starred with anticipation
"I got five on the blue one." Hard Chord called.
"Which one?" Caramel asked, knowing it was a joke and the ponies laughed.
"GO!"
The two took off so fast that outlines of their bodies in dust stood where they were a mili-second a go before they fell through the clouds.
Soarin was in the lead and was shouting back to Rainbow Dash.
"Want me slow down for ya Dashie.* "
"Yes I would. Then I can win and say I beat a wonderbolt in a race." Rainbow said in pride and confidence.
"We'll see about that miss Dash." Soarin called back teasingly.
The race was around the edges of Ponyville and back to the start. They were already past-half way there.
"Looks like that pie is as good as mine Dashie." Soarin wasn't tasting pie but something else. Thats when Rainbow Dash had zipped right pass him. Something told Soarin that she really wanted that favor. It was over before Soarin knew as Rainbow Dash passed the finish line and Electronic Notes put his hoof down as she crossed.
"Winner! Rainbow Dash." He said as he grabbed her hoof and pulled into the air. The ponies began to cheer and clap.
"Damnit. The bet is screwed." Hard Chord said, imitating a guy who lost a bet at a race. As Soarin crossed, Rainbow turned to him.
"Come on. You have a deal to do." Rainbow said as she grabbed Soarins' hoof and pulled him away. Soarin seemed excited to go with her.
"Hey how about the two brothers race." Applejack suggested. Both the brothers looked like they hated the idea.
"Yeah that would great." Pinkie said as she bounced around.
"Come on do it." They called. Eventually they had enough and were lined up at the starting point with Fluttershy as the announcer.
"Okay well uhm on your marks,"
"You're going down man." Notes said to his brother.
"Dude you couldn't beat me at anything when we were young."
"Shut up." Notes responded aggressively.
"Get set."
"Calm down dude."
"Listen assh*le for once I'd like to not be pushed around by you anymore." Notes said angrily
"Go." Fluttershy said quietly. But the brothers heard her fine and took off so fast it knocked her off the cloud. The audience watched in fear as she fell screaming. She fell onto something or somepony as there was a large grunt of pain for catching her. When Fluttershy saw who it was her cheeks went pink.
"Miss are you alright?" He asked.
"I...uhm...am..."
"Big Macintosh thank goodness you're here." Applejack said running up to them.
"Eeyup." He said as Fluttershy slid off him.
"You be safe now miss uh..."
"Fluttershy." She said. Actually having a normal voice tone. After realizing how loud she was, she hid behind her mane.
"What made the brothers take off like that?" Twilight asked as she saw the two speeding around the layers of town.
"Who knows. Those two were at it for years before they never saw each other for three years." Vinyl said as she turned her head towards the brothers.
Meanwhile the two brothers were going at it. Shouting basic brotherly insults at each other and were racing neck and neck. When one got slightly ahead the other would move forward more an be slightly ahead. Soon, just as the finish line was in sights, Hard Chord was ahead of his brother.
"Looks like you lose again."
That set Notes off as he flapped his wings faster than he had ever done. When he passed his brother and the finish line he had felt like he had accomplished his greatest dream.
"Finally! I beat you." He said as his brother landed.
"Alright don't rub it in."
"Screw that. You did the same crap to me when you beat me at a race when we were colts. You used go and show off on how you beat your little brother at a damn race. Well how does it feel?" Notes didn't realize that his tone went to an angry rant. Hard Chord had enough of it.
"SHUT UP!!!!!!!!" He screamed so loud the whole town probably heard. Notes stopped and looked at his brother who had a fire in his eye. Instead of yelling back at him he looked down and saw their friends who had witnessed the two yell. They all had a sad look on their face.
Hard Chord just flew off back to the library to lay down.
"I'm gonna get a nap." Notes said with sorrow in his voice as he flew back to his hotel.
The others stood there shocked at what they just saw as Rainbow Dash and Soarin came back. Both were out of breath and Soarin had several wet marks on his cheek.
"What did we miss?"
* Someone please tell my why horse races in Red Dead Redemption was a bunch of yelling at each other.
[A/N] Been a while Programs. Had school work and stuff. Damn I gotta go. I think I caught a fever or something. My damn vacation is here since my dad had the flu and when he recovered my mom hurt her ankle .

Electronic Notes had woken up and knew that it was the day of rehearsal. As stupid as it sounded, he was nervous for tomorrow. He would finally marry the love of his life. Another bonus is that he could go back to never seeing his brother again. Everypony asked why the two have been so distant but the two wouldn't give them a straight answer. While some ponies expected a few problems since they hadn't seen eachother in over three years, but the two rarely interacted with just each other. There was either a pony that dragged them along to meet or it was a group. When asked they simple responded with.
"Personal Issues." Notes said quietly. It was a lie between the two. They didn't tell each other to lie, they just did. Everyday Vinyl would pester him to go sit down and talk to his big brother.
"Come on. Why don't you two ever get along?" Vinyl asked.
"Because Vinyl. We were very distant growing up." Notes reponded.
"There has to be a reason other than the fact that he was better than you at things." Vinyl pleaded.
"Honey, even when we talked it was harsh between us. We almost ended killing each other like those two lions."*
"Which one were you?" Vinyl asked harshly.
"Honestly I think we were both." Notes responded
"Sweetie at least tell me why you two stopped talking for three years?"
"Again, personal issues." He said firmly.
Vinyl opened her mouth to respond, but that's when she saw her finances face. He had a look of sadness on his face that Vinyl knew that there was a big personnel issue between the two.
"Are you at least gonna have the common courtesy to go apologize to your brother?" Twilight asked as Hard Chord tried very little to fix his mane for the arrival of Princess Celestia. Instead he even made it more messy.
"Twilight when you spend years growing up with the fool, yelling at him is almost second nature." Hard Chord responded.
"Fine. While I get you were rebellious as a foal but can you at least try to fix your mane for her arrival?" Twilight asked.
"Why, I thought you liked it like this." Hard Chord said mischievously. Twilight tried to say some thing but the words were caught in her throat. Her cheeks became a bright red as she ran out of the room.
"Dude you got her good." Spike said, sitting on the couch behind him.
"I don't know. Maybe to much?" Hard Chord asked. He'd hate for Twilight to never stop talking to him again. Why did that thought sadden him more than it should.
"Maybe I do li-" He was cut off by the sound of horns that could only mean...
"She's here come on!" Twilight said as she ran out the door. Spike hopped on Hard Chords' back followed her out the door and to the crowd that was gathering.
"Citizens of Ponyville. It is my honor to welcome The Ruler of Equestria. Princess Celestia." She announced as she pointed her hoof towards a landing carriage. The Princess waved to the crowd as she stepped off the carriage and was greeted by her personal student.
"Twilight! How lovely to see you again." She said as she nuzzled her student. She had always been a motherly figure for her when she became her student. Even on nights when Celestia would stare at the moon in tears, Twilight would be there to comfort her.
"It's so great to see you again as well Princess." Twilight said excitedly.
"And who is this young stallion?" She said, turning her head towards Hard Chord.
"That's Hard Chord!" Twilight said with enthusiastically. After hearing how loud she was, she looked down while blushing. Princess Celestias' horn glowed but since it was bright out you could hardly see it.
'I hope he doesn't find out. What would he think of me? Princess Celestia always told me to tell them how I feel but she's had practice being thousands of years old. Wait, doesn't she have a spell to read minds. Oh shi- no.'
"Twilight." Celestia said. Twilight looked up at her with pink cheeks. The Princess leaned down to her ear.
"Your secret is safe with me." She whispered. Twilight felt relief. She had shared secret crushes with her mentor before, even the ruler herself had shared a few she had as a foal and even some she has now.
"Nice to meet you Princess Celestia." Hard Chord said as he bowed. Celestia had a smug grin on her face.
"I remember you and your brother. In fact I believe there are two others that ran from me who are here. One of them being Soarin and the other I don't know."
"Well for starters, The other one was Nova Burst. Second, Well when the 'Grand Ruler of Equestria' shows up when you pile snow at the entrance to school, first instinct is to run."
Celestia giggled at the latter.That's when she went to greet some others. Soarin and Celestia had their talk about running from her, but there was another pony who she needed to meet.
"PRINCESS CELESTIA!!! Hiiiiiiiii!!!!!" Pinkie Pie screamed. A green unicorns' pupils shrank at the sound of her name being screamed.
"Hello there Pinkie Pie. And hello to you as well Mister...?"
The young stallion gulped, "Nova Burst." He answered.
Princess Celestia smiled warmly. "Nice to meet you Nova Burst."
Nova eased up after that. Once somepony he met wasn't out to get him, he relax for once.
"So how fast have you gotten since you've ran from me." Celestia whispered in his ear.
Nova promptly fainted.
There he was. Standing at the Altair. Watching his soon to be wife walking down the aisle. He stood there nervously. Except it wasn't that day. It was a practice for that day which was tomorrow.
"Geez man you need to quit shaking." Hard Chord said.
"Hey I'm nervous for tomorrow." Notes responded.
"Typical you. Always afraid of the future instead of focusing on the present." Hard Chord said.
"Hey! I have excuses to be worried for the future. You're the one who doesn't care at all!" By the time Notes realized how loud he was, he still didn't care.
"Give an example." Hard Chord responded angrily.
"MOM!" Notes yelled loud. By now, all the ponies eyes were on the two brothers and has backed away from them.
"You abandoned us the one time we needed all of the family!" A few gasps rang through the air.
"Not my fault dad disowned me and kicked me out of the house for being me." Hard Chord said.
"Buck that. When mom got sick and was dying. He would have accepted you then."
"So you're saying that dad would have boughten the emo act as mom laid dying."**
"NO! Just that the one time where he thought you would be hurting, he would've comforted you. Moms dying wish was that the family would be together. She died believing that somehow we would get through together."
"At least I didn't stand there and watch her die!"
That was the last straw for Electronic Notes as he tackled his brother and began to punch him in the face. Hard Chord was stronger and pushed his brother off him. As he was about to attack, a few ponies held him to the ground.
"No fair I want to get my hits in." He yelled as he struggled against their hold.
"I'm gonna say the last words you heard from me after moms funeral!" Notes yelled as he was being escorted out by Vinyl. Hard Chord stopped struggling and prepared his ears.
"I HOPE I NEVER BUCKING SEE YOU AGAIN!" He yelled as the door slammed shut. The ponies holding Hard Chord let go and everypony in there were shocked. Tears fell from Hard Chords eyes as he ran.
Twilight stood there shocked. She couldn't believe how hostile the two brothers can be. Thats why the all the distant communication, the rivalry, the arguing, the fighting.
Those two brothers fell apart from tragedy that tore the whole family apart.

[A/N] Damn that was serious. There will be explanations from the two next chapter. I do no own My Little Pony or the references I made during this chapter.
"Hard Chord!" Twilight called as she entered the Library. She went upstairs and heard... crying? Twilight followed the noise which lead to Hard Chords room. Taking a deep breath and bracing herself to see her crush in an emotional wreck, she opened the door to hind him laying on his bed in tears staring at a photo.
"Go away." He said. Twilight was surprised on how quite it was. She expected him to yell.
"Hard Chord." Twilight said comfortingly. She hopped on his bed and puled him into a tight hug. She looked down to see a grown mare with a brown coat and black mane and tail on the photo. Hard Chord couldn't bury his face in her shoulders since it was hurting.
"Were you close to your mother?" Twilight asked.
"Yes. When I was growing up she was there for me on the worst of days. That's when my brother was born. Suddenly I was left in the cold while he got all the attention." He said angrily. "I could hardly get my moms attention and the only one who paid attention to me was my dad and he hated what my cutie mark meant. My mane style. My music. When I got this peircing he said that he had it and kicked me out. My mother gave me attention for once as she told me not to go as I walked out." Twilight only listened to him as he told her his story.
"I stayed at a friends place for a few years. Then came the day that I heard my mother was dying. I was broken. I never wanted to see her in that condition. I was hoping she would recover and I could move on. She died about a month later. At the funeral I was so bucking depressed. I wanted to watch strangers bury my mother and try not to be a murderer later. As I was leaving, my brother, who had styled his mane to look like mine, came to bitch me out. Telling me that I had just abandoned by family in a time of need. Then my father came by my place an hour later. He was drunk off his ass. He yelled about how i'm not the son he wanted and that he wishes he was mom if he had me for a son. I only sat there and let him yell at me. He threw a bottle and stormed out. I considered suicide that night."
Hard Chord realized how long he was talking and was about to lay back down but Twilight ushered him to keep going.
"Soon I went on with my life and now here I am depressed as sh*t once again as I tried to run from the memories of abandonment." He buried his face in his hooves and cried even more. Twilight held him as he sobbed on his bed. Even she was feeling a lump in her throat after she heard his story. However, she realized that after a half an hour of holding him, Hard Chord had fallen asleep holding Twilight as well. Instead of letting go she snuggled closer and even nuzzled his neck. As she was set and ready to sleep she heard the door open.
"Go to sleep Spike."
The door shut right away.
"Now explain to me please what the hell was that?" Vinyl said to her fiancée.
"You're gonna hear a long story if you want to know why I tried to murder my brother." Notes responded. Vinyl rolled her eyes and laid down next to her boyfriend and listened.
"When I was born my brother at first used to be my best friend. But a year later, he began to be distant to me, giving me glares and often hitting me. As we got older, when we got our group of friends I was the kid who was in the background. They never noticed me missing or if I was sick or anything. Not even my brother cared. But they gave him all kinds of attention. He was so cool around others. Colts wanted to hang out with him, mares wanted to date him. But I was left in his shadow." Electronic Notes had tears in his eyes.
"I tried to be like him all the time, I grew my mane out like him, I tried to get a piercing but dad would have shot me. Soon it became to the point in which we wouldn't even talk to each other." Notes began to cry a little harder at the next sentence.
"That's when mom got sick. I was depressed. I didn't want her to leave me with the colt that threw my brother away like a piece of trash. I wanted my big brother to come home so we could try to be a family again. I didn't hear a word from him. When mom died my dad became a drunk. A week later I abandoned him and went out on my own. When the funeral came I decided to give him a piece of my mind. I don't know what came over me but I got so pissed that I yelled at him." He wiped his eyes and laid his head down on his pillow. Vinyl kissed his cheek and laid down next to him and drifted off to a deep sleep.

"Sir we have a prisoner escape!" A guard called to his lead officer.
"What! Who?" He said to the guard in shock.
"Just a Griffin sir." The young guard said.
When Electronic Notes opened his eyes the next, he was as excited as a colt on Hearths Warming Eve. But before he could find and kiss his to-be wife, he instead found a note on the night stand.
Went to talk to your brother. Also to make sure you would stay asleep so you don't try to stop me a gave you a good whack in the head. Love you, Vinyl Scratch.
"Typical." He said flatly. He rubbed a hoof to his head and could feel a light, dull pain on the side.
"What kind of wife hits her husband to keep him asleep?" Notes asked aloud.
Twilight woke up from what was the best sleep of her life. She had dreamed that instead of it being Vinyls wedding, it was hers. Her mane was in the style that Rarity had planned for today since there was a sun shower for the ceremony. Rarity found out and decided to try new styles on their manes. She especially was excited for Twilights mane to make her pink stripe zig-zag around on her mane.
Hard Chords' eyes opened as he remembered last night. Looking down, he saw Twilight looking at him.
"Hey, could you not tell anypony about last night?"
Twilight smiled and said, "sure."
That's when they stared into each others eyes. Twilight never noticed the bright crimson in his iris that seemed to give him color to every aspect about him. Hard Chord looked and saw how Twilights eyes glowed as she starred at him. He decided how he felt as he leaned in to her face as Twilight leaned in as well.
Hard Chord and Twilight quickly jumped out of bed when they heard the door knocking.
"It's a public library. Why don't ponies know that you don't have to knock?" Twilight was annoyed by the knock not because it was a public library, but because of other reasons.
They both went down stairs to the front door. When Twilight opened it she was shocked to see a Griffin standing there.
"Hello miss. I was wondering if you have seen a good friend of mine?" He said.
"Uh... what does he look like?" Twilight said. This Griffin had a scar that seemed threatening.
"Like your colt friend right there." He said pointing at Hard Chord. Before Twilight could object, Hard Chord spoke up.
"He's at the hotel. Room E7." He said with a sly grin on his face.
"Thank you." he said and simply walked off.
"Why did you tell him that? He could be a murderer for all we know." Twilight lectured.
"Well if he was then I have one less speech to worry about." He said.
Twilight rolled her eyes. Spike had made breakfast but left a note saying he was going to help Rarity with some last minute preparations. However, as they were eating, the door opened and Vinyl trotted in.
"Hard Chord we need to talk. You need to hear your brothers side." She said out of breath from running here.
"Screw him. My face was tenderized like meat from his hooves." He said.
"Come on please." Vinyl pleaded.
"No." He said blandly.
"Please. For me." The voice was different this time. It was Twilights' voice. Hard Chord knew by now that he couldn't resist her voice.
"Fine." He said getting up.
"Thanks. By the way Vinyl, I didn't know Notes was friends with a Griffin?"
"He isn't." Vinyl said, confused by the statement. "Except-"
Vinyls eyes widened in horror as she realized who stopped by to see her boyfriend.
"We gotta go now!" She said as she ran out the door with the two following after her.
"Why, what's the matter?" Twilight asked as they ran up. Vinyl didn't answered but instead kept running.
Electronic Notes had stepped out of the shower after drying his mane. He shook it and was satisfied with its' look. As he sat down on bed, a sharp tap on the window caught his attention. When he moved the curtain and saw a recognizable Griffin on the other side with his claw raised, his pupils shrank and he ran for cover as the window shattered.
On the ground the three arrived to see ponies fleeing in terror as a Griffin crawled onto the hotel window.
"Oh no." Vinyl said. Hard Chord realized that his brother was in serious danger. Lifting his wings up, he took off towards the room. Twilight reached for him not to go but Vinyl assured her that he knew what he was doing.
The hotel room was trashed as the griffin slithered in and towards a defenseless Electronic Notes.
"Hello old friend. Remember me?" He said as he dragged his claws against the floor.
"Hell yeah I do! I just wish you didn't though."
"Oh well old times can be a bitch sometimes huh. I've spent the last two years in solitary confinement. But I've escaped to visit my new favorite friend." He said with an insane grin
"You've lost it pal." Notes said. The Griffin raised his claw to kill him. Just as he started to swing, a heavy force knocked his head down to the floor.
"Bro run!" Hard Chord yelled. Notes simply nodded and flew out the open window.
By now the rest of the girls along with Caramel, Nova Burst, and Soarin had joined them.
"What's going on?" Applejack asked.
"A crazed Griffin is trying to kill Notes." Twilight said.
"Yeah right." Caramel said. As soon as he said that, Electronic Notes flew out the window. Soon the rest of it burst as the Griffin flew out after him with Hard Chord on his back.
"I stand corrected." Caramel said as the rests' jaws dropped. Soon Soarin and Rainbow Dash readied their wings and flew off to help. Pinkie became scarred by the griffin and clung to Nova for protection.
The battle in the air became intense. Hard Chord was tossed off of the Griffins back and into the ground between Nova and Pinkie, separating the two. Twilight tried to tell him to relax but he got up instantly and flew back into the fight.
The Griffin saw the crowd and had a plan. He charged to the ground but was attacked by Rainbow Dash."
"Hold it Punk. You ain't going anywhere." She said as she tried to pull his wing back.
"Oh really." He said maniacally. He flung his wing forward which sent Rainbow Dash forward and caught her in his claws, pinning her hooves and wings.
"Hey let me go!" She grunted as she struggled in his grasp. Soarin had seen and became angered at Rainbow Dash in pain.
"Let her go!" He yelled as he did a flying kick to the Griffin in the back. The air was knocked out of him as he let go of the rainbow-maned Pegasus. She began to fall since her wings weren't fast enough to react. Soarin had sped up and caught her just before she hit the ground. Being in his hold comforted her as she hugged him tighter.
Soarin made the mistake of pushing the Griffin more towards the ground as he landed and began to attack the ponies. They all dodged and other used magic to avoid his attacks. However his time to strike came as Pinkie tripped in the mini ditch that Hard Chord made when he slid across the ground. He leaped on her and grabbed her with his talons in the same way he grabbed Rainbow Dash.
"HELP!!!" She shrieked as the Griffin squeezed the air out of her. Nova got up and when he saw Pinkie in his hold, he had a fire in his eyes. He used his magic to make a platform staircase and ran up and over the Griffin and dropped a magic blast that knocked him back into the air and losing his grip on the pink mare.
"MY HERO!" Pinkie said as she hugged Nova and kissed his cheek. Nova nearly fainted at the contact.
The Griffin decided that enough was enough and targeted his original kill. Electronic Notes realized that he was being chased and took off into the sky. The Griffin right behind him. Hard Chord chased the griffin up the sky as well.
They were well passed the cloud layer when a cone was forming around Hard Chord. Notes saw and closed his wings shut and fell pass the Griffin. He told his brother to keep flying up. He opened his wings and flew the same altitude as his brother as the Griffin came to his height.
"You can't escape me. I'm more stronger than you'll ever be!" He yelled.
"How about a sonic rock-boom?" Notes asked as he took seat on a cloud.
"A what?" He asked confused.
His answered came as a boom rang out followed by guitar screeches that became more clear as an orange cloud with lighting surging in it spread out. The griffin had been blown away screaming as the air sent him to the badlands.
"Hell yeah man!" Notes cheered at the sight of the boom. The crowd below cheered as well at Hard Chords accomplishment. Rainbow Dash was in tears at the sight, hugging Soarin who patted her head and watched.
Suddenly the Boom had reached a far point. So far in fact that the cloud Notes was on had blown away. Notes tried to fight the force of the wind but was blown back into the Everfree Forest. He heard screaming for his name as he landed on a tree branch that snapped and he landed on a big leaf that he slid down and fell on his right wing that hit a rock with a snap. Notes yelled in pain and hoped it was a twig but knew the truth.
The yelling must have caused a lot of noise cause no sooner that Notes stood and looked up that a Manticore had knocked down some trees and roared in his face.
"Mother bucker." Notes took off in a run with the Manticore slowly gaining on him with trees as an obstacle. Notes had ran like this before but he couldn't fly to get away this time and knew that he could only give the Manticore a chase for its life. But his luck came to him when he saw a cottage in the middle of the forest. But as soon as he yelled for help, he was knocked to a tree by the Manticores tail against a tree and was out cold.
When his eyes opened he was greeted by the most strangest room he had ever been in. The were masks and brewing pots for potions that aligned the walls.
"Good to see you are awake. Tell me why a creature gave chase?" A deep voice asked in rhymed.
"I was knocked down by the sonic boom." He answered. The Zebra only nodded.
"So what's your name?" He asked
"My name is Zecora and I live here in the Flora." She said.
"Do you always talk in ryhme?"
She only nodded and then starred at him.
"Oh yeah. My name is Electronic Notes."
Aw yes. You are to be wed." She said. "Well you better go to town and not let you mare down." She said.
"Right. Thanks for the help." He called as he ran out the door.
By the time he had reached town he could see the ceremony was all ready and waiting on him. Vinyl wasn't seen which worried him.
"Dude thanks Celestia you're here." Hard Chord said as he hurried him into the Library with the other Stallions. He quickly got in his suit. He noticed his wing was bandaged as well.
"Hey bro." Hard Chord said. Notes knew it was an apology."I'm sorry for everything I screwed up on. I shouldn't have left you guys ever."
"I'm sorry to. I knew dad was hard on you but I shouldn't have attacked you."
"Well it's good to see baby brother learned to fight."*
"Now come on." He said as the guys ran out of the library. Spike was riding on Hard Chords back again.
Soon the guys were there at the Altair waiting for the bride to be. The Bridesmaids were already there and welcomed the groom back and wished him recovery.
Soon the music began to play as rain fell from the sky with the sun shining through the clouds. Octavia smiled as she played the tune as Vinyl walked down the aisle. She looked nervous as everypony stood up for the bride. She gasped when she saw Notes wing. As she got up to the end, Princess Celestia cleared her throat and began.
"Dearly beloved, We are gathered here today to..."
Some time later,
"Do you, Vinyl Scratch take Electronic Notes be your wedded husband?"
"Yes I do."
"Do you, Electronic Notes take Vinyl Scratch to be your wedded wife."
"I do."
"I now pronounce you Stallion and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
The two locked lips as the audience cheered and clapped for them.

The sky cleared as Luna raised the moon to make way for the brightest night anypony had ever seen. If one were to pass by the town they would have heard music along with laughter and cheers as ponies either sat around a table with friends or were on the dance floor.
Several ponies in dresses and suits danced the night away without a care in the world. The bride and the groom danced while some cheered them off while others built up courage to ask mares to dance. Rainbow Dash and Soarin had danced with each other before and and were on the dance floor. Pinkie had dragged Nova out and forced him to dance, a decision he wished he had a say in, but everypony knew that he would have said yes. Fluttershy had met another one of the brothers friends. At first they were both shy, that's why the techno couple set them up together. They had danced together and seemed to loosen up after. Caramel got the "man up" talk from Hard Chord and asked Applejack to dance. Surprisingly, she thought about asking him as well.
A lone mare sat a table. There were no proper stallions there to dance with. She thought about just going home when a voice called... below her.
"Rarity?" Spike called. Rarity took her hooves off her head and looked down.
"Do you want to dance?" He asked nervously. Rarity smiled. She wanted to dance with anypony or dragon to make sure she wouldn't have styled her and the rest of the girls manes for nothing.
"Sure darling." As she grabbed hi claw and he lead her to the dance floor.
After a few songs, the music died down and a clinking of a fork against a class rang through the air.
"Attention please." Hard Chord said with a head set on. "I'd like to say a few things about my brother."
"Oh good my first celebrity roast." Notes said at his table with his wife. Laughter filled the air at the comment.
"Well when we grew up together, we were the classic game of cat and mouse. When we got older, using an example from today, the Pegasus and the Griffin." More laughter came from the crowd. "When I did the sonic boom today and people saw you get tossed into the Everfree Forest, everypony watching said 'boy those two really go at it.' I landed down and ponies were like 'a bit overkill don't ya think?'" The audience kept laughing. "But bro, I gotta say, I'm a little jealous that you're married before me, and I wish you and Vinyl the best of luck in your future." He said as he stepped down from the stage as the audience cheered for him.
Twilight had gotten light headed from all the noise and ponies around and went for a walk around town. She eventually found herself on the bridge once again, staring at the moon and its reflection in the running water.
"Hey." She flinched as a voice spoke to her. After a moment she realized who it was and her heart fluttered in her chest when she had a thought.
"Hey." She responded.
"Mind if I join you?" Hard Chord asked.
"Sure." Twilight answered. Hard Chord sat down next to her. He starred at how beautiful Twilight looked. Her mane had a jagged look that Rarity styled. The pink stripe had been made to zig-zag around her mane.
"Hey Twilight." He said catching her attention. She turned her head and faced him. "I just wanted to say thanks for letting me open up to you. I know I come off as the funny guy and thats who I want to be known. But as a thank you..."
Hard Chord leaned in as Twilights' eyes glimmered in the moonlight. She leaned in and closed her eyes and her heart jumped when she felt the contact of Hard Chords lips and his piercing on her lips. The two kissed in the moonlight. Twilight couldn't believe it. She had dreamed of this ever since she met Hard Chord.
They pulled away and starred at each other.
"I love you." They looked at each other funny then laughed as they said it at the same time.
"Come on. Want to head back?" Hard Chord asked.
"No. I'd rather be here." She said.
Hard Chord didn't object.
It was that time where the couple board the carriage to take them back to Canterlot. The couple chose there as their honeymoon since other places had bad memories for them.
"Ready to go?" Notes asked.
"Just one thing." Her horn glowed as she tossed the bouquet out the window. They watched as mares piled on top to hopefully have luck to be the next wedded. Just a few seconds after the toss, a wall eyed Pegasus rose from the fray with the bouquet in her mouth. The couple laughed at the irony of her getting it. Just as the carriage took off, Electronic Notes saw his brother making out with Twilight Sparkle.
"Looks like we might be back for the next wedding." He said pointing out the window. Vinyl looked and smiled.
"Now what are we gonna do when we get to the suite?" Notes asked. Vinyl gave him a seductive stare.
"What do you think."
