*PINKIE PIE'S POV*
I was in Sugarcube Corner as usual, baking sweets of all kinds like cupcakes, parfaits, cakes, cookies and plenty more! I hummed happily to a catchy tune as I baked. I could tell that today is going to be a super terrific day!
"Hey Pinkie!" said somepony who was none other than Dashie.
I glanced at her with my usual signature smile as I greeted her a hi.
"Hey Dashie!" I grinned at my blue pegasus friend. "Wassup? Ya hungry or anything?"
"Nah not really. I'm just thirsty." she giggled as she shyly played with her colorful hair.
I raised a brow at her actions. Since when the most abrasive, sporty, confident and outgoing flier of Equestria suddenly acts so shy like Fluttershy? Did her heart got taken by a lucky stallion? Did she got any sweet compliment from anypony today? Oh, so many questions scurry around in my mind.
"Who's the lucky stallion?" I smirked as I hopped towards her.
Dashie blushed. "Ah nah. No stallion caught my eye. It's something that I've been thinking about that's pretty embarrassing."
I raised a brow at her. "Embarrassing?" I then returned to my usual cheerful self.
"Oh I see! That's understandable! You wanna talk about it?"
"Nah, it's okay."
"Are you positively Pinkie sure?"
"I'm sure, indeed." Dashie nodded.
I felt a little disappointed inside. I honestly want to know what she's so embarrassed about. I won't laugh, ever. Everypony tells me these embarrassing secrets and I always keep them secret and wouldn't laugh about it, just like Fluttershy would do. But, it's understandable if Dashie doesn't wanna tell me because I would feel that way too, even if they're my friends.
"Okey Dokey Lokey!" I chirped. "Anyways, whatcha wanna drink? I have soda pops, milkshakes, fruit juices, water, apple cider, grape wine and plenty more!" I rambled.
Rainbow Dash gave me a look. "You have wine?"
"Mr. and Mrs. Cake sell grape wine in case anypony wanna get wasted for a party. It's no biggie. It's the most pricey one because they wouldn't want everypony to waste bits on an expensive beverage just to get wasted. Being wasted all the time ain't healthy for a pony." I babbled again about the wine. "It may be fun to be wasted but all the time ain't good." I finished.
Dashie nodded in understanding. "Ah, I see. Anyways, I just want water because for an athletic pony like me, I need plenty of water! I shouldn't have too much sugar in my system!" she winked.
I giggled. Oh Dashie, that's one thing I love about that pony. She would brag about how athletic she is and that she's the most awesome flier and all. I think that's pretty cute.
"Of course you do, Dashie. Alrighty, water comin' right up!" I hopped to the the shelves of beverages and picked up a water bottle with my tail.
"Alrighty, anything else you need my friend?" I batted my eyelashes at her.
"I wonder how you can hold stuff with your tail because honestly, I don't think I can do that." Dashie chuckled as she took the bottle from me.
I shrugged. "I don't know. It's just natural, it's just there in me." I giggled. I always wonder how I can do all those things like walking on ceilings, hide in the most tiniest places, stretch out my limbs and tail, holding things with my tongue, and that stuff. I believe it's all from the Pinkie Sense I have. I remember when Twilight first heard of the Pinkie sense, she was soooo confuzzled that she got pissed about it until I told her that she'll get it eventually and to accept it too. Now she's used to it so it's cool.
"Interesting, anyways I'm gonna go practice now. So I'll see you around Pinks. And thanks." Dashie winked at me before she took off.
"Okey dokey lokey! Bye Dashie!" I said as I waved goodbye to her. I giggled at the thought how she winked at me and called me Pinks. Pinks. Such a cute nickname for me. I giggled to myself. Suddenly, I felt hot just thinking about it. My cheeks are probably red as Applejack's apples by now. I don't know how that happened. Oh well. So I shook off the thought and went back to baking as usual on a wonderful day.
Hours later, I hopped over to Twilight Sparkle's house to see what she's up to and to hang out with her of course. She's one of my bestest friends ever! Hehe I remember when I first met her, I gasped and sprinted away, then I surprised her with a surprise welcome party at her house! It was so fun as I reminisced at the thought. I love throwing parties for my friends and giving them the smiles and giggles. It makes my life so worthwhile to see somepony smile ya know? It makes me happy too, it's like seeing a cute bunny eating a carrot.
"Hey Twilight!" I chirped as I happily hopped into her house. There was she was reading books as usual. She has a gazillion books on the shelves. Sometimes, I'm like "damn! how can she read so much of this?!" but I'm pretty used to the fact that she's a little bookworm so as the result, she's the most smartest pony ever in Ponyville.
"Hey, Pinkie." Twilight said, eyes not leaving the book.
"Whatcha reading?" I asked.
"American history." she said. "It's pretty interesting you know? Especially how significant wars such as World War I and II, the Civil War and the Revolutionary war brings what America is today."
I nodded as if I understood her but in reality, I really didn't. "I don't know any of your smart talk sometimes, Twilight."
Twilight giggled. "You're so funny, Pinkie. Of course you would pretend to nod your head like if you understood."
I looked at her with wide eyes. How did she know that? Oh well, probably because she's just that smart. Anyways, I noticed that somepony was here with Twilight too and it was none other than Rainbow Dash. She was chilling near the fondue reading those Daring Do books. Oh Dashie and her love for those Daring Do books. Obviously, I knew she was so into the book when Fluttershy and I visited her at the hospital the other day when she broke her wing. I saw that book hidden under her pillow. Obviously, Dashie isn't good at hiding things but I ain't going to say anything about it. Dashie saw me as she paused from reading probably because she either heard my voice earlier or my bouncy noises when I walk.
"Hey, Pinkie!" she greeted me with a smile.
"Hey, Dashie! Reading those Daring Do books again?" I giggled as I hopped down next to her.
"You betcha! These books are sooo good! You should read them one day! Trust me, you would love them!" she winked.
"I should one day." I said as I put my chin on a hoof as I thought about it. Daring Do does seem like an interesting book, eh?
"Whatcha been up to?" she asked.
"Nothing really, just hopping out and about. I'm finally finished with all those baking! Whew! It was alot work!" Oh Big Time Rush! It was alot of work!
"I bet so!"
"Yup! Anyways, I'm gonna go! I'll see you around Dashie!" I said as I hopped towards the door.
"Bye Dashie! Bye Twilight!"
Dashie and Twilight said their goodbyes as I hopped away.
Chapter 2
*RAINBOW DASH'S POV*
I just chilling near Twilight's fondue reading Daring Do books. Dude, those books are so freaking awesome! I love the stories! Thank goodness I started reading 'em at the hospital when I broke my wing the other day. So totally worth it! Not the fact that I broke my wing, the fact that my boredom got the best of me so I ended up to love reading. Anyways, as I was reading, I couldn't take my mind off of Pinkie. Pinkie Pie, she is soo random; not only random, but she's adorable, beautiful and amazing in every shades of pink of her that I can think of. Plus, those gorgeous, sparkling blue diamonds of hers called eyes. Her eyes have to be the most amazing and beautiful sights ever, I can just look at them for hours and hours.
I remember when I stepped foot in Sugarcube Corner to get me some water a couple hours ago, I couldn't help but feel the butterflies in my stomach, the sparks and my face feeling hot everytime I see that pink pony. I was almost alarmed when Pinkie noticed my actions there, especially when she asked me if a lucky stallion caught my heart. Actually, it wasn't really a stallion. It was Pinkie Pie herself that caught my heart. After those events at Wonderbolt Academy, when I saved all my friends from Lighting Dust's tornado, I couldn't help but feel touched when Pinkie gave me a hug saying that I remembered her.
"You remembered me!" Pinkie squeaked with happy tears as she jumped and hugged Rainbow Dash tightly.
"Yeah, of course I remember you." Rainbow Dash said warmly and with sincerity as she returned the hug.
I couldn't help but reminisce that sweet, adorable Pinkie moment. I smiled to myself as my train of thought of Pinkie kept going on and on. But no! I couldn't possibly like Pinkie like that. What was I thinking?! And about what happened at Sugarcube Corner a couple hours ago? Of course I like Pinkie Pie, but as a best friend, nothing else. There is no way that I could like her more than a best friend. Impossible.
"Hey, Twilight." I asked, abruptly interrupting my train of thought.
"Yes, Rainbow Dash?" She responded as her eyes left her book to look at me.
"This is pretty weird, actually. Like, I can't stop thinking about Pinkie. Every time she smiles, I feel my heart skip a beat and every time she hops, I couldn't help but giggle, and every time she laughs, I couldn't help but smile. I couldn't even focus on flying when I see Pinkie everywhere. What's happening with me?" I asked her with fear and confusion taking over me.
Twilight smiled reassuringly. "No need to worry, Rainbow. Honestly, I don't really know why you're feeling this way but you can ask Rarity. She would probably know about this stuff."
I smiled at her with hope left in me.
"Good idea Twilight! Thanks!" I replied as I dashed out of her house and towards the Carousel Boutique where Rarity is.
I was finally at Rarity's. I flew towards the open window at her balcony since I don't feel like knocking the door and besides, my friends don't really mind me flying through their open windows but Fluttershy would just use the door instead of flying. I'm already used to Fluttershy's shy nature although sometimes, I get pretty impatient about it. Like, Fluttershy should really stop being a doormat and just fly at least. She has wings for a reason? Oh well, I already accepted the fact anyways.
"Hey Rarity!" I called as I saw Rarity fixing up some dresses she has been sewing lately. The pearly unicorn turned towards me and skipped to the balcony where I was.
"Greetings, Rainbow Dash. May I help you?" she asked in her usual sophisticated matter.
"I want some advice from you about a somepony."
Rarity's ears perked up in interest. "Who's the lucky stallion, Rainbow?" she asked excitedly as she wrapped her hoof around me as I went inside the house.
"Uh, actually. It's not really a stallion." I mumbled.
"A mare? A mare caught your eye?" Rarity somehow heard my mumbling.
I nodded. "Yes, a mare."
"Who is it? Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Rarity beamed.
I chuckled. "Well, it's pretty interesting. I just can't stop thinking about this pony? Every time I see her smile, my heart skips a beat, the way her pink puffy hair bounces all over the place, I couldn't help but smile at her cuteness, and the way her blue eyes shine, it's like stars that don't really shine. What's wrong with me?"
Rarity put her chin over her hoof in thought.
"Hmmm..this pony you described sounds very familiar indeed. This pony reminds me of Pinkie Pie."
"It IS Pinkie Pie!" I said. "I don't know what I'm feeling this way about her. Just what's happening?" I wondered.
Rarity smiled in understanding. "Darling, when a pony feels this way towards somepony, then it means that they like the pony so Rainbow Dash, it means that you have a crush on Pinkie Pie."
A crush on Pinkie Pie? Crushing on my best friend? Impossible. There's no way I can like Pinkie that way.
"But I don't like her that way. How can it be?" I asked in bewilderment.
"You're denying it, Rainbow. That is understandable when a pony starts feeling this way. Eventually, you'll have to tell Pinkie your feelings for her."
I shook my head frantically. "No, I can't Rarity! What if she doesn't want to be friends with me anymore? Or what if she doesn't feel the same way about me like I do with her?"
"You're thinking negative, Rainbow Dash. You will never know unless you try right? After all, Pinkie's the Element of Laughter. Of course she wouldn't hate you or get upset over something like this because that pony is just too bubbly to be upset about anything pretty much. She's just gonna smile, smile, smile."
I melted at the thought of Pinkie's smile. Dude, I just love her smile.
"You really think so?" I asked hopefully.
Rarity nodded. "Indeed."
"B-but..every time I look at her, I blush. I don't know, Rarity."
"You'll figure it out darling." Rarity winked.
Chapter 3
*PINKIE PIE'S POV*
LALALALALALALALALALA! I hummed to myself as I hopped happily around Ponyville. Today was one heck of a day. I baked alot of sweets at Sugarcube Corner for hours, I helped Applejack applebuck some apples for some apple cider at Sweet Apple Acres, I hung out with Fluttershy and helped her take care of Angel bunny and her other animal friends, I played hopscotch with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and then I hopped on my mini helicopter to fly up to Cloudsdale to help the pegasi paint some clouds. It was so fun yet so exhausting. I was one busy bee having fun! Now, I was planning to go play some pranks with Rainbow Dash today...if only I can find her. And then, a couple zillion seconds later there was Dashie leaving the Carousel Boutique. I frowned. Since when Dashie went to Rarity's house today? I thought she's not into girly things? I shook my thoughts away as I hopped to Rarity's place to meet up with Dashie.
"Hey Dashie!" I chirped in my usual cheerful voice as I bounced over to her.
Rainbow looked at me somehow in a frantic way. I notice her eyes looking at several places but me and she has been twitchy too.
"H-hey, Pinkie." she mumbled.
"Anything the matter?" I asked, my ears drooping a bit with worry. Did I do anything wrong to her? Did anything bad happen to her today? I thought.
Dashie shook her head. "Nah, nothing's wrong. Haha I'm just a little....twitchy and nervous..for...practice for the next Wonderbolts competition." she said hesitantly, having a pinch of sweat already.
"But the next Wonderbolts competition isn't until next year..." I gave her a confuzzled look.
"I know! But practice earlier the better right?" she grinned nervously, still not wanting to look me the eye.
I rolled my eyes as I gently put Rainbow's chin up so that her face can be looking straight at me.
"Is there anything the matter, Dashie? Was it because of what I asked earlier at Sugarcube Corner? Was it because I asked you what you're embarrassed about? If I pressured you, I'm so sorry!" I cried as tears starting to form in my eyes.
"No, no! Not at all!" Dashie confirmed it as she gently wiped the tears from my eyes. "I'll be fine, Pinks. I'll be fine."
She reassuringly nuzzled my cheek.
"If you say so." I sniffled.
"Yeah, so anyways now if you excuse me. I gotta go practice now. See ya around Pinks." said Dashie as she dashed off to the sky.
My hoof reached to the spot where Dashie nuzzled my cheek. I can literally still her touch of her nose on my cheek. I blushed at the thought of her sweet action to reassure me that she will be fine. What a nice friend she is. I smiled at the thought. Maybe Dashie will be fine after all. Oh well, when she's all fine and all she can probably tell me what's wrong. I won't pressure Dashie, I'll just giver her the time she needs.
"Oh hey, Pinkie!" said somepony. It was none other than Rarity. ", I'm surprised that you came by to my place, today. Anything the matter?" she winked at me. I looked at her weirdly. Did she see the whole thing that just happened? Because according to that winky face she did, it seems like it. Nevertheless, I shook it off.
"Nope! Nothing really, Rarity! I was just asking Dashie if she wanna hangs out but she couldn't because of practice. Do you wanna hang out, Rarity?"
"Oh today? I wish I can, Pinkie but I have alot of dresses to make and sew." she winked. "Maybe we can hang out some other time, shall we?"
"Okey dokey lokey." I said skeptically as I noticed another wink from her. What's gotten into her and Dashie? I thought. Hmmmm..oh well.
I asked everypony if they wanna hang out but all they said the same thing Dashie and Rarity said. They're busy and at the end, they gave me a winky face. WHAT THE HAY?! It's so weird. Twilight Sparkle has to focus on her studies and gave me a winky face, Applejack has to bake some apple pies and gave me a winky face, Fluttershy was busy teaching her animal friends how to make music and dance and she gave me a winky face. Derpy Hooves just gave me a winky face for fun. I shrugged. Everypony probably got the bad case of the winky eyes. I really don't know but I ain't gonna let my curiosity ruin that right? As I continued to enjoy my day, I noticed Dashie and the rest of my friends at a tree nearby Fluttershy's cottage.
I felt that uneasy feeling inside me. Could they be doing something without letting me know? Why would they? I'm their friend...are they lying to me? So many questions once again scurry around in my head as I hid myself in thick bushes and quietly tiptoed towards them to see what they're up to. I felt like a furry guinea pig who couldn't really see through its bangs as I tiptoed. It's a little hard to tiptoe when you keep tripping over twigs and branches but my curiosity got the best of me anyways, I just had to see what my friends were doing without me.
"It's hopeless guys." said a familiar voice that sounds like Dashie. "I just can't tell Pinkie Pie." she added.
"Why not?" said Applejack. "We shouldn't keep this secret from her. She's our best friend."
Dashie shook her head. "I know, but I just can't bring myself to do this."
"Don't worry, darling. Pinkie won't get upset." Rarity murmured.
Upset? A secret? What would I be upset about? What secret is Dashie and my friends hiding from me?
"I agree, you don't have to be nervous. We'll be right here with you, Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy added reassuringly.
Not taking this anymore, I quickly sprinted bush to bush to get to them as quietly as possible like how a lioness can catch her prey quietly in the grass.
"Thanks for the support, everypony. But, it seems hopeless. I'm too nervous to tell Pinkie." said Dashie.
"TELL ME WHAT?!" I blurted out loud as my head popped out of the bush, startling my friends.
"Pinkie Pie! Gurl, were you spyin on us?" Applejack squealed, insulted.
"Of course not, Applejack, I was having an awesome day going 'LALALALALALALA' until I notice you guys at the tree near Fluttershy's cottage without telling me anything! What's up with that?!" I shouted, anger fuming inside of me.
Fluttershy yelped as she cowered when I bursted like that.
"Please don't y-yell. You'll s-scare the animals." she whimpered.
I was too confused and mad to hear her. "I need an explanation here!"
Applejack facehoofed. "It's nothin' really, sugarcube. We were just talking about what we should do....."
"About your current hairstyle!" Rarity butted in, cutting Applejack off.
I raised a brow at her. "My hair? What's wrong with my hair?"
"Your hair is all over the place and it looks completely messy. We were talking about how we can improve your hair to make it more extravagant and more dashing."
"But I love my hair just the way it is!" I whined.
"Of course, which is why we're here at the tree. We didn't ask you to come along because obviously, you're going to protest about my suggestion but it's just a suggestion, darling. We're not gonna force you to change your hair but still though." Rarity explained calmly.
"Ohh." I realized. "Sorry that I went all meanie butt on you guys. It's just I thought you guys don't want me around and just ditched me." I finished as I started to cry and my hair threatening to deflate from the sadness and hurt I'm feeling.
Dashie wiped the tears from my eyes. "Please don't cry, Pinkie. That's so not the answer. We do love you, Pinks.."
"And don't deflate your hair, PLEASE!" Rarity complained, cutting Dashie off. "You look horrible when your hair is all straight and deflated."
Applejack nudged her. "I thought you said that you don't like her hairstyle at this moment?
"Oh hush."
"Okey Dokey Lokey." I gave them a small smile. "I guess I'll be on my way then. See you guys later." I responded as I hopped away from the tree they were at.
Chapter 4
*RAINBOW DASH'S POV*
I sat on my cloud, in thought. Poor Pinkie thought that we hated her. It was the complete opposite. We talked at the tree without her because the conversation we were talking about is my crush on here. Oh well, one step at a time; Pinkie will eventually know what I feel about her which is a true fact. I'm just scared of the results at the end.
Oh Pinkie Pie. I thought to myself. Why do you have to be so cute and adorable that I ended up having a crush on you, or even more than that...falling in love with you? Everypony knows about my crush on Pinkie, except for her which is kinda frustrating, especially over the fact that I can't find the courage to tell her myself. I, Rainbow Dash is always ready for a challenge, adventure and danger but can't face a challenge of telling somepony that I love them. Ugh. Impossible.
I groaned in frustration. "OH FOR PETE'S SAKE. WHY IS IT SO DAMN HARD TO TELL A PONY THAT YOU LOVE HER?!" I cried out loud, not giving a care if anypony heard me. Pushing my thoughts aside, I decided to take a nap to relieve my head.
"Oh Dashie.." said a voice.
"Who's there?" I asked as I looked around my surroundings.
"It's meee. Pinkie Pie." It was her. MY CRUSH. She was on the cloud next to me, batting her eyelashes at me.
How the heck can she sit on a cloud when usually, earth ponies cannot sit or stand on clouds? Oh. Typical Pinkie. There is something strange about her that I really don't get. Despite that, I'm happy that I have her all to myself onto my own cloud.
"Whatcha doing here, Pinks?"
"I'm here to snuggle!" she smiled as she cuddled against my chest. i can literally feel my cheeks burn hot and sparks in my body like if I'm about to be shocked at any moment. Can this last forever?
I wrapped my hooves around her and planted a sweet kiss on her head.
"I love you, Pinkie Pie." I murmured. Before Pinkie can say anything back to me, she began to fade right in front of my eyes.
"NO PINKIE! PLEASE! DON'T GO! STAY!" I pleaded as I did whatever I could to hold on to her and prevent her from leaving my arms.
"NOOOOO!" I woke up abruptly to reality on a cloud all by myself, except for from cricket noises nearby. I groaned. Ugh, it was just a dream. It seemed so real, why does awesome dreams like that always fade at the good part?
Chapter 5
*PINKIE PIE'S POV*
I was up in my room, walking back and forth, thinking about my friends' weird behavior today, especially Dashie. Why was everypony winking at me? Why was Dashie frantic around me now? And what secret does Dashie doesn't want to tell me about?
"I'm so frustrated, Gummy!" I cried as I paced back and forth as my pet alligator, Gummy was sitting on my bed playing with his little ball. "Why are they acting this way? Did I do anything bad to them? Why the hay is everypony giving me the winky faces?" Gummy never said anything, much to my disappointment but at least he's a good listener. Although I may be a talkative pony, but I would always listen to everypony's problems and would help them go through it. I always ramble on and on about my problems to my friends and it helps that I vent it all out of my system.
Suddenly, I then got an idea! "I got it, Gummy! I would disguise myself as the Mysterious Mare Do Well and stalk my friends' every move." I chuckled to myself at the thought. Me disguised as that dark pony who saves everypony's lives and I will be stalking my friends to find the truth. THE TRUTH I TELL YOU! I hopped over to Gummy.
"Whatcha think about that, Gummy?!" I asked excitedly as my tail was dancing up high in the air. But the alligator said nothing. Probably because he doesn't have any teeth; could be that. hmmm....
A couple hours later, before my questioning; I decided to sneak to the Carousel Boutique to borrow the Mare Do Well costume without being caught by Rarity. Obviously, I wasn't stealing. I was borrowing it so I can figure out my friends' antics. Aiish. I climbed up a tree with binoculars in my hoof as I observed and searched around the scene if the coast was clear or not. I'm an agent trying to solve the code without being caught by the FBI or in my case, my friends. There was Rarity, about to leave the Boutique. Sweet! I thought.
"I believe it is time for myself to have a little luxury at the spa." Rarity said aloud as she happily pranced and left, leaving the coast clear and open for me to attack..or sneak in.
Now that Rarity left, this was a huge opportunity for me to jump through the balcony, find the costume and be on my way. The balcony was pretty high up honestly, like if I'm on top of a skyscraper but in this case, the balcony. This feels like being in a spy movie with me as the main character. I giggled to myself at the thought. Anyways, on a count to ten, I jumped from the branch I was standing on to the balcony where I can at least hold on to the railing.
"Ahh!" I yelped as I tried to find leg support as I climbed up.
"Rarity!" called out a voice. I quickly glanced at the source of the voice. It was none other than Dashie with Fluttershy.
I yelped in panic as I frantically jumped up and ran inside the Boutique, crashing into Rarity's closet.
*RAINBOW DASH'S POV*
"What was that noise?" asked Fluttershy nervously. "Is she gonna be okay?"
I gave her a pat on the back. "No need to worry, Fluttershy. Probably cause she dropped something."
Fluttershy and I flew over to Rarity's because I want to ask her if she can make a dress for Pinkie Pie. Pinkie always look dashing in a dress. Like the other time, we were at the Gala in Canterlot. Pinkie looked so dashing and flawless and her party dress. I couldn't stop starting at her throughout the time at the Gala and when I hung out with the Wonderbolts, I would always tell them about her.
"Rarity!" I called again as Fluttershy and I flew inside the house. And then, we saw her messed up closet.
Chapter 6
*PINKIE'S POV*
"Oh shoot!" I muttered to myself as Dashie and Fluttershy stepped foot into the Boutique while I'm over here all tangled up with Rarity's clothes and hangers stuck in my hair.
Fluttershy frowned. "Hmmm. Rarity is usually that organized. I think we should help her out and clean up the closet for her."
I looked at her in horror as I peeked through one of Rarity's dresses. Please say no! I thought as I hopefully prayed to Celestia that they wouldn't catch me snooping around. All I want is the Mare Do Well costume, not to mess up Rarity's closet. This is so not what I have in mind. Looks like it's time for plan B.
Dashie agreed. "Yeah, I believe Rarity might need some help here. Let's get started." I facehoofed in the clothes.
What a dumbo dumbie plan I created. Oh well. Pinkie always finds a way out. I thought as I scurried through the mess for the costume. Then at a nick of time and hope, there it was! It was there right in front of me. Oh sweet niblets. Why was I so blind when the special prize is right in front of me? AIIISH.
*5 MINUTES LATER*
"Whew! That was so tiring! Damn, Rarity has a gazillion clothes!" Dashie said, catching her breath as Fluttershy found the last dress and put it back to it's original spot.
"I know. But it's worth it, Rainbow Dash. Rarity is going to be so glad!" Fluttershy beamed happily.
"But Rarity doesn't know that her closet messed up." she chuckled.
Fluttershy's face suddenly got red as AJ's apples when she realized that. "Y-you do got a point there."
Meanwhile, I quietly sneaked in behind them wearing the Mare Do Well costume as I jumped off the balcony and back on the tree branch I was at. Whew! That was close! I was literally a proud badass like a black widow spider. I finally got my prize. Now I'm going to use it as a weapon to uncover Dashie's secret. Mwahahahaa! I thought to myself as I did a triumphant evil laugh. I stuffed the costume into my saddlebag, climbed down the tree like a cat and hopped away like nothing happened.
Later on today, I was prancing along the road towards Whitetail Woods to take a little stroll and break after my trip and escapade to retrieving the prize which is inside my saddlebag.
"Oh the sweetness of success!" I grinned as I hopped along the tunes and beats of the chirping birds as the leaves from the trees were falling. The grass was dancing along the cool, soft breezes; the animals were singing their usual tunes while I was just walking around, looking for a perfect spot to relax and put the prize in action.
Here I was, disguised as the Mysterious Mare Do Well. With my slick purple cape, my mysterious purple mask and hat...oh I am ready to strike or as I can say uncover secrets. I hid in every creek and cranny I can think of such as the desolate stables in Applejack's farm as I observe Applejack doing rodeo dance moves. Or the bushes near Fluttershy's cottage, just basically and literally anywhere. Gurl, I bet that I would hide in somepony's toilet and just stalk them from there! AFTER ALL, I AM THE MEME PONY THAT GETS TO HAVE ALL THESE COOL GAGS. I stalked like basically everypony's house and every single pony I see but nothing interesting happened. I even hid in the leaves of Twilight's house almost everyday and no sign of anything strange. I was about to give hope until I saw a pony walking by looking down in the dumps. It was none other than Rainbow Dash. Curiosity and hope suddenly energizing in me, I hid in the nearest wheelbarrow and popped out in front of her.
"Hello!" I said in my imitation of Mare Do Well if I could.
"Oh my horseapples! You scared the hay outta me, Mare Do Well! First, you tried to make me jealous with your precious, amazing skills and now you're trying to scare me?" Dashie scoffed at Mare Do Well.
Mare Do Well frowned. "Well I have no intention to do that." she said. "I just can't help it when I saw you slumping like if somepony beat you up, I just have to come by and see what's wrong with ya."
Now it was Dashie's turn to frown. "I'm not sure if you even understand. It's pretty complicated and it's a long story anyways."
"I have all day. It wouldn't be right if I just left you like this all alone. Just tell me." Mare Do Well insisted.
"Fine, if you insist." Dashie took a deep breath. "I'm...I'm in love with somepony and I just can't stop thinking about her. She's random, crazy, funny, amazing and sweet. She has the most amazing eyes and smile ever that the world would just literally stop and stare. But she's also my best friend. I'm afraid if I tell her, she either won't feel the same way about me or would probably hate me and not want to be my friend anymore. I....I can't risk the fact of losing my best friend." she explained as tears started to form in her eyes.
"Aww that is sooo cute!" Mare Do Well gushed. "Don't you worry, I'm pretty sure she will understand and respect your feelings. Just tell her and go for it, what's there to lose? And if you lost her, well it's her loss. And besides, you said that she's your best friend, right? If she really was your best friend, she wouldn't leave you and hate you over something little like this? It's gonna be fantastic! Just tell her, it ain't gonna hurt." Ooooh! Dashie is in love with somepony! Or in her case, a mare! Ooooh golly!
Dashie smiled. "I guess you're right, Mare Do Well. I will tell her how I feel. Thanks for the advice."
"You're welcome, Rainbow Dash. Now tell me, who are you in love with?"
"I'm in love with Pinkie Pie. I've been having a crush on her for a while."
Rainbow Dash has a crush on me?! She loves me?!
Chapter 7
*PINKIE PIE'S POV*
Rainbow Dash, the most confident, outgoing, carefree and athletic Pegasus ever of Ponyville has a crush on me?! Well I don't hear that everyday hehe! Not only it interests me a bit but confused about it too. Since when has Dashie been hiding this crush from me?
"She's just amazing, funny, cute and above all, random and sweet." Dashie gushed. "I'm like scared to tell her that I like her because I don't want her to see me differently ya know? I also don't want any awkward tension between us because it could possibly put a strain in our friendship and I soo do not want that. So what should I do?
"Well TELL HER! How worse can it be?!" Mare Do Well replied as my voice slipped in. Oopsie, I totally forgot that I was Mare Do Well that I didn't do her accent. Oh shoot, Dashie caught me red-handed as she recognized my voice.
"Pinkie?!" she sounded nervous when the truth dawned on her that she was admitting her crush on me to me. I took off my hat and purple mask and looked at Dashie in the eye. "You have a crush on me? You like me?" I blinked in shock as I gave her an "are you serious?" look, waiting for a confirmation. Dashie nodded. "Yush. I really like you." she finished as she stared at the ground as her hoof drew lines on the dirt, having cheeks red as Santa's ass while not wanting to look me in the eye. D'aww! She's so cute when she's so shy! I giggled to myself as I pulled Dashie in for a hug. "Oh, Dashie! You tooo cute! You don't have to hide it from me. Just tell me what you feel and I won't be mad over a little crush. tehehe. Come to think of it, I really like you too." I said with sincerity as Dashie finally looked me in the eye.
"Y-you do?" she stammered with surprise in her voice.
I nodded. "Absolutely positootely! And to prove that...." I finished the sentence by planting Dashie a kiss on the cheek.
Dashie put her hoof over the kiss mark I planted on her. She smiled at me sheepishly as her face had gotten even more redder than ever. "Awww. I love you, Pinkie Pie!" she gushed as she pulled me in for a big, wet kissy kiss on the lips. Her lips felt so warm against mine. It was a very blissful moment, more blissful when I did the Gangnam Style at the Gala in Canterlot where everypony was like "omg, you need to teach me how to do that!" so we ended up singing the Gangnam Style and doing the dance. "I love you too Dashie." I murmured during the kiss as Dashie pulled away and gave me a big, loving hug.
*RAINBOW DASH'S POV*
I pinched myself to see if this was reality. Happily, it was reality! Pinkie Pie returned my feelings and she didn't see me differently when she found out about my crush. One step at a time, my feelings for Pinkie started to grow even more as I planted a kiss on the lips. She tasted like sugar and peppermint. The kiss had to be one the best moments ever in my life that I didn't want it to end. As I kissed her, I literally melted and glued onto her tightly. Sparks were electrocuting like crazy between us, and today was like a fairytale literally. As I pulled away from the kiss, I gave Pinkie a big loving hug and I didn't want to let go. Now I know that Pinkie Pie, my very best friend is now my beloved love, I couldn't help but squeal to myself in my head with happiness. I didn't want to let her go as we hugged. Pinkie Pie giggled as I sniffed into her puffy pink hair. The sound of her giggles always know how to make my heart skip a beat.
"Okay, Dashie! Whatcha wanna do today?" asked Pinkie enthusiastically as I heard her voice vibrated against me.
"I just want to spend the rest of the entire day today with you." I beamed.
Pinkie blushed. "Awww, you're soooo cute!" she giggled.
"You're too cute when you blush, you know that?" I winked. It really was such an adorable sight seeing the pink pony all tickled pink.
"Oh stop it, Dashie." she giggled.
"How can I when your giggles make me wanna shower you with flattery even more and more...." I smirked flirtatiously. Dude, I just love flirting with Pinks. Her reactions are just too adorable to watch.
I swear that Pinkie's face was gonna turn to a huge blush of red and would probably get hiccups from the giggles. I honestly don't know but I really didn't pay much attention or care.
It took a minute for Pinkie to think of what we can do since she's been showered and attacked by all the sweetness of words that I'm throwing at her.
"Would you like to help me bake some sweets at Sugarcube Corner since I have to go to work soon?" she asked as she batted her eyelashes at me. Damn, Pinkie batting her eyelashes gives my wings goosebumps because she is just too cute.
"I would love to Pinks." I happily said as I put my wing around Pinkie. We then walked over to Sugarcube Corner to start the baking session.
