Just a normal day, or is it?
"Oh Rainbow Dash! Could you please come here for a moment." Asked the surprisingly happy lavender unicorn. "I need you to help me with something. Something very important and it requires your assistance."
"Be there in a second." She said back. What could she need that is so important? Oh well i guess i better go find out.
As she entered the kitchen of the library where her girlfriend Twilight lived she noticed that the only light coming from in there was a candle on the table. The table was set for a meal for two, large plates with forks, knives, etc. and then came the ding. She looked over and saw her in a beautiful teal dress ,that was obviously made by Rarity, taking a big pot off of the burner on her stove.
"Hey beautiful," Twilight said. "I hope you're ready for our special dinner tonight. I've been waiting for alone time with you all day!"
Rainbow looked shocked and immediately spoke and said, "I'm so sorry babe but i have plans already tonight with Pinky Pie to go on a night swim. I forgot to tell you, I'm so sorry for letting you go to all this trouble but i need to get going soon, you know how Pinky can be if she is kept waiting."
Twilight looked at Rainbow dash with the absolute most depressing face you could ever see on such a normally happy pony. She said nothing and began to clean up the table. She started crying but she hid her tears from Rainbow.
"I'll be back in an hour and we can do whatever you want is that alright?" Dash said seeming in a hurry.
Twilight only nodded with her head turned and magically put the dishes away as she wrapped up the meal she prepared.
"Thanks Twi, you're the best and that is one of the many reasons i love you!", She said and as fast as she could go she flew off to Sugar Cube Corner where she knew her bright pink friend would be awaiting her.
She left so quickly that she could not see the broken down Twilight lay on the hard cold floor and start to sob loudly. No one to hear her not even the dead asleep dragon upstairs. No one to come and comfort her in her time of need. Today was the one year anniversary of when her and Dash first realized they were meant for each other and the Cyan pony, also the element of loyalty, was the one to forget it.
1 Hour Later
"Twilight! I'm back and ready for some fun!", the rainbow pony was greeted with no response. I wonder if she is playing games? Hiding from me ready to jump out at any moment and surprise me. I know what she's up to and it's not going to work, i'm to smart for her this time. "You might as well stop hiding, I know what you are up to!", but still no response. She suddenly heard a soft weep coming from in the kitchen. She went to investigate.
"OH MY GOSH TWILIGHT ARE YOU OK!", she screamed as she rushed to the pony lying on the floor next to the table with the candle still lit from an hour ago. "Why are you crying?? Did somepony hurt you!?"
"YES!", she shrieked and quickly stood up and ran for the door but not only to be met by the very speedy Rainbow Dash.
"Who hurt you!? I need to know!", said the worried pony.
"It's you! You hurt me in the worst way possible... you forgot our anniversary.", she then teleported past her and ran up the stairs to her room locking the door behind her most likely waking up Spike who had been asleep this whole time.
Rainbow Dash still just stands at the kitchen door her face in shock and her mind in awe. "I can't believe I forgot, of all the things I could do, of all the people I could hurt, why did it have to be the person i love the most?", she whispered to herself finding that she too was now tearing up from the very thought that she truly made the mare she so loved cry.
She then flew upstairs in an attempt to apologize but the door was locked and not even the strength of ten of herself could knock that door down for it was sealed with a magical spell. Next she tried the bedroom window but Twilight had thought of that too and had it magically sealed. From outside the window Dash could hear the loud sobs from her girlfriend inside the room and another voice attempting to calm her down.
"Twilight I'm so sorry! I know you can't forgive me but please give me a chance to make it up to you!", She yelled from outside her door again but to her reply she heard Spike telling her to go. Twilight was to sad to even speak right now and she can't blame her. Rainbow then seeks the advise from the one pony she knows can help, Rarity.
"Rarity!", Rainbow yells as she crashes through her door. "I need your help like now!" She was half asleep on her couch when she rudely broke in but she was her friend so she let it slide.
"What could be so urgent that you would need me at this hour?" The white unicorn asks still a bit groggy.
"Twilight is soooo mad at me right now, I forgot our anniversary." spoke the ashamed pegasus.
"What?! This is so bad darling, I can't believe you of all people would do this to her!", She said quickly snapping out of her daze.
"I tried to apologize but Spike wouldn't even let me see her. I even tried to break down the door but she put a spell on it so i couldn't get in."
"Can you blame her, you broke her poor little heart and just apologizing isn't enough. You need to do something drastic to show your love for her and only then will she forgive you."
"I'll try but i have no clue what to do. Can you help me out on this?"
"You will have to figure this out on your own honey, i'm afraid this is something to personal for anypony else to help you. But I can tell you what AppleJack and I did for our anniversary, that could give you some clues on what to do."
"Sure, I'd love to hear your story, just please leave out the more detailed part will ya."
"Oh don't flatter yourself, I would never reveal to anypony what we do in our private time. Ok so it was about a month ago and we went on our trip to the rodeo like last year..."
